This Restaurant belongs to the category of Korean restaurant.
The food here is always good, and the staff are always friendly. Can't go wrong with any of their dishes, but the Chicken Katsu and the Bulgogi Fries are personal favorites of mine.
Pleasantly surprised my the food given the prices. Good service, great flavors.
Wonderful service, friendly and attentive staff who were very helpful. The food was delicious and my bulgogi melted in my mouth.
The restaurant has now moved to Morrisville.
Good food, clean bathrooms and great service!
Loved the lettuce wraps, octopus balls and KFC garlic wings. Calamari was a disappointment though.
Awesome late night spot, but great any time, especially with their new expanded menu. All the favorites like bulgogi fries and KFC wings in garlic soy sauce are still there, but now some killer sushi options were added. Everything we've tried there is amazing, but especially the chicken with the chef's special sauce, bibimbap, bbq meats and the hot pot with the spam and sausage. Red bean ice cream is great, new creme brulee cheesecake is even better.
I've been to many Korean restaurants and as my rating stares it was okay. I base my judgement on the core dish of any Korean establishment, the bibimbap. A simple dish that as it mixes and flavors combine is more delicious towards the end then the beginning. In the bibimbap at Aroma Korea, it started bland and ended more bland if that were possible. The Bilgolgi wasn't seasoned and lent to the bland on bland action. Soo Cafe has a tastier bibimbap and Bilgolgi as well as Korean fried chicken that isn't overly spiced. Not to mention reasonable pricing. All of that being said, it did have a good atmosphere and the service from the waiters was polite, just wasn't thrilled with the food.
Sushi is good but other korean foods are not that very traditional korean food taste
Food is very good. Our waitress Kelsey was very nice and knowledgeable. We will be back
Loved everything
Great Food!. If you love Korean and Sushi dishes this place is for you. I have been here so many times and each time I come here the food is always delicious. Highly recommend
Great food, friendly staff. Big improvement over the quasi Indian spot that was here previously.
The bibimbop, takoyaki and lettuce wraps were all very good.
The BBQ was decent. It's classic Korean with lettuce wraps and garnishes except you don't cook the meat at your table. However the pork belly was a bit salty. Also the tempura was swimming in some kind of sauce, making it soggy. Decent but not spectacular food. I thought the Korean menu was a bit limited. Check out Golden Pig for another option with better flavor. Nice location.
My wife and I have been here a few times now, and I must say the food is always great and the service is wonderful. It's truly a hidden gem.
Excellent choices and a great environment. Would recommend to everyone!
Good food
Service was great very friendly and attentive. The portions are generous and it's reasonably priced. Food is great, but for those who don't like spicy foods the choices are limited.
Great food choice if looking for Korean, I recommend the yakisoba
Really good authentic food
Aroma Korea, Sushi Grill and Bar was a great find for me. The exterior looked clean, with a huge patio seating on the side of the building. Once inside, Aroma Korea definitely had a great vibe with K-Pop music playing in the background. I was not expecting that, which was actually awesome. Aroma Korea is the place that gives a "we are offering more than just food, we are offering a lifestyle" kind of impression. And, so it was! The service was on point. The sweet tea was flavorful brewed as our drinks were always topped off. We mainly ordered appetizers to start off, but I had to try out their sushi. We ended up ordering: -Hyedupbap - Korean spicy sashimi with mixed greens over a bed of rice with sweet and spicy sauce -Chirashi don - comes in cute little compartment boxes with individual rice bowls topped with fresh sashimi, unagi and fresh wasabi -Bulgogi fries with cheese, bacon, jalapeños drizzled with wasabi mayo -Green Tea ice cream - the ice cream presentation was impeccable with pockey sticks, whipped cream -Cheese Corn in an iron skillet to melt the mozzarella cheese. - I have never tasted corn this good before, with one bite will change your taste buds -Bulgogi Roll - which is kimbap rolled perfectly -Pork gyoza - pan fried pork dumplings with a sweet soy sauce base for dipping Must try: Creme Brûlée Cheesecake! The food at Aroma Korea had an interesting depth of flavor, combinations of Korean and Japanese fusion blended with tasteful textures. Overall, it was pleasant and I will definitely come back and try other Korean dishes.
Great, delicious food and outstanding service!
Since my first time here Aroma has been consistently awesome. Their bulgogi fries are always on point and always apart of my groups order. My husband loves their spicy seafood ramen and KFC. I've been having fun trying something new Everytime I come now because their menu is so big and it's growing too. They've recently started opening for lunch during the week and my bento box that day was phenomenal. My friend had the Aloha Poke bowl and she was in heaven with each bite she took. If you're looking for some yummy Korean food try this place out. It's tucked away but it's like the perfect representation as Cary's hidden gem.
It was nice. Good service with delicious food
Very good for late night meal a little pricey but pretty decent taste and comparing with other Korean joint this one have a very good services wide selection of soju no mixed drinks
Amazing food and service
This place is awesome. Very good food...I will be back!!
Everything here is delicious! Service is friendly and fast, and the portions are pretty sizable. We had more than enough food, and everything was so good. It's hard to stop eating, even when you think you can't eat any more. The kimchi udon is amazing, and the spicy seafood ramen is perfect for a cold day.
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Music was a little loud, don't know why - we were the only ones in there, and, being on the older side, didn't savor the k-pop. We did really enjoy the tempura udon, teriyaki chicken, and samgupsal. The green tea was also good. Would definitely go again.
The “KFC” is a joke very disappointed because that’s mainly why we came here .... chicken was very low quality and they try to drown it with the spicy sauce .... sushi was mediocre but Cary gives this place a 4.6
The Korean spicy noodles are good, the hot stone bowl is tasty and have a lot of choices of meat in it. The Korean hot pot looks abundant.
Great food and great service!
Try the wings... UNREAL!!!
I met and friend here for dinner and enjoyed it! I'm not sure why no one talks about this place. They weren't very busy but everything was good and the price was definitely reasonable. We ordered a lot of things to share - KFC wings with gochujang sauce, bulgogi fries, sushi roll combo, spicy seafood ramen, and corn cheese. The fries were ok, the sushi was pretty good, I loved the wings and corn cheese, could go either way on the ramen. The service was great and the presentation was great as well. I'd definitely come back!
The Korean Fried Chicken is amazing (especially the spicy garlic one). Some of the best I've had in the area. My friends ordered other appetizers and entrées and they were quite happy with it too!
The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Shrimp Yaki Soba and was not disappointed. The service was incredible as well. The staff is very friendly. Chef Lee came to the table to greet us. I will definitely be eating here often!
What a great hole in the wall. Not exactly a hole, but it's hidden behind the trees. An awesome find. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Great place for lunch, dinner or just when you're craving a yummy snack. The bulgogi fries are so good. Can't wait to try the corn cheese. The udon and bibimbap are delicious. Can't wait to return. ::Update:: The corn cheese was so good!! Highly recommend their bulgogi bento box. The bento box is a great way to get a sampler of several of their appetizers. Did not really care for the chicken katsu. The sauce was a bit weird for my taste. But otherwise, everything was delicious! Love the Takoyashi!!
Amazing place
We go almost every week and love it. Everything is good. They're very accommodating for vegetarians.
Excellent, delicious
Reasonable priced, fulfilling, and tasty food! Great service and music. The bulgogi fries and Korean Fried Chicken WERE AMAZING!!!
Fantastic food!
Great food and atmosphere for lunch. Had the Korean bimbimbap with fried rice and bulgogi. It was fantastic.
Delicious! Friendly for visitors with all tastes, and super friendly staff. Service was excellent! The bulgogi fries are like Korean poutine, and highly addictive.
I loved the food here! It was authentically Korean and reminded me of home. I had the kimchi udon. The chef even came out and talked to us. It was a very inviting environment and i feel very welcomed! Will definitely go back soon!
Authentic Korean food with a friendly owner / staff. Give the spicy seafood soup a try, particularly if you are inclined to share. Other favorites include the Korean fries chicken (sweet with just a hint of spice) Kimchi pancake, or any of the rice dishes. If you like spice, let them know and they will make sure you get your taste of fire. This place is a great choice for after work, or any kind of group. If you are considering it for a date or quiet evening, ask to sit outside, the fun can occasionally be loud inside.
Amazing food. Tasty and inexpensive.
I will say the food was delicious. If you’re looking for the true Korean representation then this is not the place for you. I will probably not return because all the places I’ve gone bring out a nice platter of small dishes to sample before you eat and to munch on while you eat your meal as well.
They never fail us!! The food is always SPLENDID, and though you might have to wait a little when they’re busy, it’s worth it. You get your money’s worth :) also the Kpop is a HUGE PLUS. Here are pictures of the crème brûlée cheesecake, the BTS, and the Crunchy Diablo rolls.
Being a hybrid Korean and Japanese restaurant, I was curious as to whether they would serve Korean styled sushi (kimbap) or Japanese styled sushi. If you're reading this, the answer is Japanese styled sushi. It started out well enough. I saw a sign up front that stated what the fresh sushi fish was for the day. Many but not all respectable sushi restaurants have this, but they should all have it. Also, I was told that two of the nigri sushi that I ordered was no longer available. Wonderful to hear it! Seriously, I want restaurants to tell me when they no longer have something that is fresh and available anymore, rather than try to rig something shady up to make more money off me. That has happened before. The problem was when my food finally came. I thought perhaps it was my imagination, but I couldn't help but shake a curiously fishy smell coming from my plate. I went ahead and smelled every piece, confirming that one of the white fish nigri was indeed very fishy smelling. The rest were fine. A fishy smell does not always mean that a fish is not fresh. However, for any respectable sushi restaurant, that is definitely a screw up. Rather than complaining though, I decided to just risk it, and it tasted fine. Unfortunately, what was really unacceptable to me was the consistent overuse of wasabi in half of all my nigri pieces. At one point, the wasabi was so overwhelming that I had to pause, catch my breath so to speak, and wait until I finished chewing and swallowing before I could breathe normal again. Now, is any of this worth complaining about? No, not really. What I had experienced might have been a couple of unfortunate accidents, rather than the norm. However, I will not be returning again as there are other sushi restaurants that serve consistently higher quality for the same price. Service was excellent, by the way. I don't have any issues there. As a final note, this restaurant has a lot more to offer that I didn't try. I was only there for the sushi. Solely as a review for their sushi though, if 5 stars is perfect, and 4 is excellent, this restaurant's sushi gets a 3 stars from me.
First time trying Korean food and I’m very impressed and ready for round two!!
Service was great! Food was awesome. Great selection. Totally coming back!
Bibimbap was good; the barbecue was slightly disappointing. Beef ribs were the best, the bugolgi was very dry and the pork was all fat.
Excellent food and service! They serve everything til 2am. Will definitely be back.
Open late. Very nice
Nice place for a bite to eat!
Get the bulgogi fries and agedashi tofu appetizers.
This place is literally a hidden gem in Cary. The KFC, Bibimbab, and Red Sun roll were amazing. We will definitely be coming back!
Excellent sushi and some great Korean dishes. In a building that houses professional offices so not where you would expect to find a restaurant. Outside patio in addition to nice space inside.
The food was excellent, but they gave a small dollop of rice for the chicken katsu dinner. When we asked for more, they brought a small bowl and charged 2 dollars extra.
I go here almost every week now! I've tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. I reccomend the KFC as an app and the bulgogi as an entree. It's sad they aren't open for lunch on weekends though.
Excellent food and service. Maybe the best Korean food I have eaten outside of Seoul.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Beautiful presentation wonderful atmosphere delicious delicate nuances in the food and a very attentive wait staff. If I could give more than five stars I would
Our first time at Aroma Korea. We had Spicy chicken Bibimbob and Udon Noodle soup in Seafood broth. For lunch, the entrees were expensive, $11.50 each. But a lot of food for the money. Service was attentive and excellent.
Best dinner in a long time...very busy busy service was great and food was even better! 20 stars
I went on a Sunday with three family members. We each got something different. Only one person liked their meal. In two dishes, the chicken was so tough, we couldn't eat it. We won't be coming back.
We love Chef Lee!! You will love his food too!
Good food, friendly service, will definitely go again!
Great food
First visit and was impressed by the freshness of the food and service. Out group had a variety of items, sushi, kimchi pancake, Bibimbap and a chicken noodle stir fry. Everything was excellent.
Fantastic! What else can I say? Service was very good, and the chicken katsu was awesome!
Best Poke bowl I have had since the Hawaiian islands!! Excellent.
Amazing place! The food was terrific and the staff was very friendly.
Tried the bibimbap which was very tasty. The host was kind and super helpful. I highly recommend.
We were not impressed. Haemul pajeon was thick, bulgogi was tough. We won't go back.
Open late and always playing great Kpop music. We come here some nights just to snack on appetizers (which come in fairly large portion sizes, be warned) and drink makgeolli. The food is always good. The service is good. And the makgeolli is sweet.
Great little place in a hidden location. We bought 4 specialty roles. The special was 2 specialty roles for $18. Everything tasted great and the service was outstanding. Definitely will be back.
The service was great and the food was amazing . We both had bibimbap and it was really fresh and flavorful . I will be back again and again lol
Great date spot!
Great food and atmosphere!
Excellent food and service
Good food and atmosphere
Absolutely delicious! The employees are so nice and welcoming. Definitely one of our favorite places!
No, never again. Horrible horrible horrible
Great place. Staff are friendly and food are authentic Korean.
Delicious Korean/Japanese food. Great service. Clean and modern.
After having a conversation with the main lady about not eating pork, she still served me bolgogi fries with bacon bits in it. Also, she forgot to give me the dish that was the reason I came in the first place. My boyfriend always had great service when he took me there, but when I was the one ordering, they couldn't care less.
Food is fantastic. Friendly service.
The fried pancake was soggy with oil. Spicy seafood ramen was bland and not spicy at all. Girlfriend's fried rice came out swimming in oil. The service was also lacking as the same person was trying to be hostess, waitress, and busboy for the entire restaurant. We waited very long to order and to get drink refills.
Quite a delicious little place. No complaints, enjoyed the food.
Good food good price
Great food and service. I love it.
Love the Korean food here
I love this place. It's usually pretty slow when I go in, which I don't understand as it's easily one of the best Korean places in Raleigh! Unexpectedly, they've also got some great Japanese dishes, and their sushi is excellent too. I've never had a bad food experience here, but some of the things I've ordered more than once are the KFC appetizer, the bulgogi fries, the actual bulgogi, and the secret garden roll. Highly recommend!
Best Korean food I've had in a while
I can't believe this place exists: high quality Korean open until 2am in the middle-of-nowhere Cary
The restaurant has really cozy vibe and the staffs are so friendly! The food is exceptionally tasty and I would recommend it for anyone interested in low-budget meals!
Two thumbs up! Everything was so good. Get the bulgogi fries for sure.
Great food. Pleasant service. Not easy to spot from the road. Kimchi pancakes very tasty. Eaten there twice, will go back.
I haven't much experience with Korean food, but thought this was great. It was a clean establishment and staff were very nice.
Decent food for decent prices. Nothing exceptional, but worth a try.
Tasty dishes, attentive staff. We decided to ordered many small dishes to try to taste as many dishes as possible, and had a great dinner with leftovers.
It’s comes with everything! The galbi is amazing! Would definitely recommend this place!
Delicious food at a great price! The bibimbap was tasty, and the service was great. Will definitely come again
Great food open late...my kinda place. The town shuts down at 9:30 this place is still open.
Great customer service
Amazing food, pristine facility, and excellent service - I am so glad I went here on my visit to Cary!
The service is really great, the people are so friendly. The atmosphere is nice for a casual date night. Quality of the food tasted great. The portions were very small considering the price. Their main menu was alcoholic beverages, so I assume most people come to have a drink. Although I didn't try a beverage personally, they did have a lot of options. I would definently go back.
Sushi here is the best in Cary. They started serving sushi this year and my gosh, I'm so glad they do. Mr. Lee makes real sushi. I mean he has style and skill, making the dinning experience one of a kind. I love coming here for sushi!!
The Yaki Soba Chicken was very good! AMAZING service!!!!
Bulgogi bibimbop was great
Loved it. And that it's open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday. Nice to have something other than a burger late night.
Very good would return
Quite tasty food and excellent customer service!
I eat a lot of sushi. A lot. And this is by far the best sushi I've ever had in my life. Easily as good as the best places I went to in Japan. Nothing else I've found in Cary Raleigh Durham even comes close.
Great sushi!!
Really love the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) the ambiance is great also. Went for my birthday and my whole family loved it.
We had some very tasty food and alot of laughs with Cindy. She was an awesome server.
Very good food and service for lunch
Very unique place to dine. Friendly staff. Extremely fresh food. And they're open late. I was impressed.
Eonni is very nice! We keep on coming back because of the tasty food and her great service!Love this place! can’t look for a better korean restaurant than this❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Super tasty food! It was the first time I’d ever had Korean and I’ve been back twice, going again tonight! Can’t wait to get those soy garlic wings!
The food is delicious and service is nice.
Great sushi place in the heart of Cary. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable.
