These guys make a great burger. The restaurant is semi fast food, but it is much better. I recommend the Carolina Burger or the mushroom swiss because those are my favorites. Most of the burgers are good though. Obviously the gator tots are a must.

I can't even understand how people are giving this place more than 1 star. I would give negative stars if I could. This place is awful and they should be ashamed charging that much money for such horrible food. Frozen burgers that taste like you are eating a charcoal brick, I could hardly take more than 2 bites. 2 burgers and 2 kids meals, $30. What a waste of money. My kids normally eat anything and they hardly ate. The grilled cheese tasted like freezer burn. I am so upset we wasted our time and money on this place. And to make it worse, the table was so sticky. I will never go back nor would I recommend anyone to eat here.

Breakfast Burger was delicious. Tater tots were perfect: hot, and crunchy on the outside, but not over cooked. The French fries were nice and hot, not greasy.

This place used to BT's burger which was amazing, unfortunately, it has gone all down hill. We were the only ones there and it took 20 mins to get our food and the order was not complete. Ingredient quality seems worse and the place had a dead feel. I don't think it will survive much longer

This used to be a burger place we would always go to until they changed how they made them. Since they changed to the Charcoal grill my family doesn’t like the burnt taste. I also LOVED the honey butter sauce that I would dip my sweet potato fries in but they do not make it anymore. It was such a disappointment. We did try it a couple of times to give it a chance but it’s definitely not our favorite. The staff is friendly and location is great! I love the outside eating area though.

This generally a great place/location, but today.... Me and a couple of coworkers went in on our lunch hour today, I ordered first (mushroom Swiss burger, added egg & bacon). Sat down, my buddy's food came out about 5 mins or so then the other guys comes out about another 5 mins after that. 20+ mins later I'm still sitting there with no food, no acknowledgment, nothing. I finally say, "hey, did you guys forget about me?" after many people have come in, ordered, and received their food. And the girl that took my order says, "oh they're waiting on the egg"..... (i'm not even going to say anything nasty or negative on here)... I go up and tell them just to make mine to go so we can be back to work on time. The three employees just stare at me, no apologies, nothing. 5 mins or so later she comes over to me and shoves the bag at me saying "There you go" and walks off... minor ending side note: I get back to the shop and try and eat in the last 4 mins i have and they forgot the added bacon lol....So I'll say, yes, this place is great as long as the manager is there ....

Went today with 6 people. Ordered 2 orders of fried pickles and 2 orders of onion rings as appetizer. The server came out and said the burgers were ready but not the apps or fries so they were going to give us the burgers first. We finished the burgers before the fries were delivered. Went to ask why - the reason was they got behind. There was maybe 3 tables of people. No excuse. No , we are sorry etc. finally offered to bring us discount coupons. Never gave them to us. In addition, the servers gave us dirty looks when delivering the rest of the food. Awful service and experience!

Best burger joint I've been to. The staff here is awesome and always friendly. FYI, if you're planning on paying regular fast food prices, you'll be surprised....this place costs more, but it's definitely worth it. Oh, almost forgot....they serve beer!

I came here because they had advertised on Facebook 19% off the day after the Panthers win. It was also posted on their door. The cashier acted like he had no clue what I was talking about and couldn't give me the discount. I sat down after ordering a burger and a beer and waited for 10 minutes without getting a drink. I went back up and showed the picture of the Facebook post and asked for my beer which had been forgotten. The cashier again acted like me wanting to use this coupon that was posted right on the entrance was bizarre and the most inconceivable and inconvenient thing that had ever happened to him. He then said that he would just bring me a separate receipt and to not worry about it. He never did and then disappeared before we left. Our table was sticky and dirty and on top of all of that, the burger made me sick. Will not be back here.

I would have expected a place that is built on burgers to not use pre-made patties. The onion rings and tater tots were sub par, cooked in the same oil, the flavor of both was bland. When ordering they insisted we leave ketchup, mustard, and mayo off the burgers because they were on the table and we could put it on ourselves. It was ok but we won’t be going back. There are a lot of great reviews praising the food here but we just didn’t have that experience.

I am really impressed with this burger restaurant. It's casual with a pub style atmosphere. I think they use Angus beef, because the burger I got was very meaty and delicious. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table when it's ready. I had the pretzel bacon cheeseburger, which was the best burger I've had anywhere. Burgers are cooked to your liking. Got mine medium well, which is overcooked in other places, but this was cooked perfectly. The pretzel bun was delicious, bacon was crisp, and cheddar cheese was the finishing touch. The burger was juicy, and I'm going back soon to have another! They also serve beer; OMB Copper is on tap. Other offerings are fries, onion rings, tater tots, chili dogs, chicken sandwiches and salads. The staff is very friendly too. Don't think twice, just go and enjoy!

Love it. I try different items on the menu to give a better description and truly test their capabilities and they excelled beyond my imagination. From salads to the most delicious burger on the menu are masterpieces that they never mess up. I recommend the ROUTE 66. HOWEVER, DON'T JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, try it yourself and await the true burger eating experience.The wait is present but enough to keep you excited for the tremendously high quality meal the customer earns with a kind budget friendly menu. The atmosphere, the kindness of each and every employee, the sheer confidence in this place is protected and fortified within the staff's hands which are better than good hands.

This place is hit or miss every time. Without a dog, the service inside is average. The people working are not very friendly, but they do take your order. On occasion, there will be an eye roll included with the order. Food is average burger and side. Sometimes the fries are cold, which is ok for me yet some people prefer hot fries. On the patio, with a dog, sometimes they are nice, sometimes they are not. For example, the most recent trip included a roving server getting my dog a carryout container of water. That is nice. In previous trips, I have been told that dogs did not need water from the restaurant. That is not nice. I had forgotten the dog's bowl and water that day. The person told me that he could not have water in a carry out bowl from the restaurant, so I left American Burger Company. As I walked by the Wine Shop on my way to PetSmart, the server ran over and told me he was cute. I explained what happened at the American Burger Company and she was upset. I decided to eat at the Wine Shop. It is delicious; and, they brought my dog a giant bowl of water from inside the restaurant. I'm not overly impressed with the American Burger Company because I never know what I will experience when I am there. It is such a shame. I truly enjoy actual dog friendly restaurants. The Wine Shop, Hickory Tavern, and MOD Pizza are amazing every single time. If you want a consistent place, those three are great. There are a few other places in the area that are also more consistent than the American Burger Company.

Staff is unprofessional, maybe that's why orders get messed up constantly. Definitely will not be spending any money here. Funny thing is you have 4 people working, no customers and still manage to take forever then mess up order. What a joke!
