Found this place on a whim, very clean and relaxed atmosphere. They were welcoming to all, What struck me the most was the female cashier who rung me up, she was so warm and kind. As a socially awkard person of color struggling with Aspergers, I have never recieved hospitality as good as this. The food was fresh, a little too expensive for my taste, and the chicken bento lacked flavor. However, the sushi looked delicious.

I really like wasabi sushi& bento even though I know it's not high quality. I'd avoid "spicy"rolls the same way it's good to skip them at any budget sushi place. That's what they do with the scrap from better fish. It's also slightly expensive for what it is. Still it's so quiet and self sufficient that I really enjoy going sitting down and having lunch, no muss no fuss.

Maybe it's no a traditional sushi restaurant but I like their concept because the sushi and others Japanese food is ready to eat (don't waste time), you just can grab the boxes with different options or you can pick individuals sushi and complete your order. Even been in boxes or wrapped the food is fresh and the price could be chipper than a regular Japanese restaurant. My Tuna sushi box had 12 pieces and I paid 9$. Good place to get a quick bite of sushi and other Japanese food. Not exactly authentic but a slight twist of western food and Japanese fusion. There are good amount of rice bowl options and noodles. It was very good. For Sushi, I wouldn't recommend eating it if you go there at night. I believe sushi is made in the morning and by the end of the day, fish color isn't fresh anymore. I did nit like the smell of it either. So unless you go there early, eat only hot food.

At 945pm tonite I ordered a shrimp undon noodle soup& paid $10.79. I was feeling cold & needed a hot soup. After 5 minutes I was told no shrimp available. So I said just give me any type of seafood. No seafood- no beef neither

Their poke bowls are a lot better than other poke places. Even when they are pre-prepared, the salmon stays firmer and has better texture because they are cut larger. Definitely my favorite place to get poke bowls.

As a frequent commuter and lover of Japanese food, I was excited to see this new opening. I tried the beef curry - the curry sauce wasn't bad, similar to what you would get in the pre packaged heat-n-go Japanese stuff. The problem was that it was cold, and the portion was deceptively small - you get a big bowl, but there is barely any curry sauce and I finished the bowl within 6 or 7 bites. Granted, I visited the place late at night (after 11PM) so this probably affected the heat. The store was bright and clean (as clean as you can get for Penn Station) so if they increase the portion and get the temperature right I would absolutely come back again.

A very busy location so the food turnover is fast and the food is fresh. I go to the one near one world trade and this one I would say has equally fresh food. My one complaint is the attitude I got when I asked for the bathroom code. I wanted to use the bathroom before I bought my meal since I did not want to bring my meal in the bathroom or leave it on a table. I know the the bathroom is for customers only but you do not have to act like I am trying to stab a kitten when I ask and explain the reasoning.

Honestly, my wife and I were walking near Times Square and happened upon this location. It's very spacious on the indoors and has a clean, modern aesthetic. The sushi is fresh and made daily and the service is nice. The prices are good for the location and the food tastes good. Would recommend.

The sushi here is terrible. The fish pieces are tiny to way too much rice. Their onigiri is also bad. They don't have bento boxes, only rice bowls, which are also not good. My curry tofu tasted sour. Everything is also really over priced. You can go to any grocery store or deli for a better and cheaper meal. The staff is really nice though

First things first: Every sushi wrapped in a single-use plastic foil is the definite death of every gourmet, painful to see and a big mess for the environment! None of the fish sold in the restaurant had a certification of sustainability. I guess the company's aim is delivering pseudo-Japaneese food to people not willing to pay much - on the cost of the environment. The only plus: Staff is friendly, and you habe your food in 2mins.

Bright, fun place to stop by and grab sushi. I like sitting near the windows to people watch. The prices are decent for a box of various styles of sushi. I wouldn’t say it’s authentic but it’s American style of sushi (avocado rolls, California rolls, nigiri, etc). Staff is friendly and helpful.

At the time of my visit the air conditioner in the business had gone out. It was very hot and made me question the safety and quality of my sushi. The sushi was fine, a little fishy for my liking, but the poke bowl was great. I felt later that i should have gotten two of those. I don't live next to a Wasabi, but if i did, I'd definitely give it another try.

Had the Salmon teriyaki Bento which I thought was delicious. Also tried Chicken & Vegetable Gyoza sald was not good cause it was cold and it was suppose to be hot. Then there was the sushi I had 6 different kinds: shrimp Sumi, seared tuna Nigiri, Salmon Hosomaki, Kani cucumber hosomaki, Avocado Hisomaki and Mochi Sesame wich was good with different sauces they provided. They atmosphere was pleasant nice seating and they keep the place clean but very cold inside not good in 40 degree weather. Have to be in the mood for this kind of food it is something different and unusual.

I went there on a Friday night. The place was very well organized. The sushi was well organized, as well as the bento boxes and yakisoba, and other Japanese dishes. I think the prices were fair, not too expensive and not too inexpensive. I got a salmon box, with a couple of salmon nigiri, a smoked salmon one, and a small spicy salmon roll. I sat in and I had to ask the security guard where the soy sauce was. The sushi was pretty decent for the price, but I will definitely prefer an establishment that gives me made-to-order sushi, it is fresher and tastier. The wasabi was not that tasty either, but it was okay.

Excellent Sushi, Sashimi and Hot Japanese foods plus snacks at excellent prices. Taking a cue from that other British export, Pret a Manger, Wasabi has come across the pond with a great concept. Modern dining room with counters of well wrapped sushi singles, bento boxes with nigiri, rolls, seawees salad, baby lettuces and more, onigiri and at the hot counter, katsu, Japanese Curry and more. Oh yes, lots of different flavors of Pockys to buy along with some excellent Japenese savory rice cracker snacks. Prices are very fair for what you get, staff is helpful, and it's far superior to the sushi you get at your local supermarket. There are a few Wasabi locations in the city now... I hope there will be more. This is an excellent addition to a quick sit-down lunch or take out for Al desko.

First off, the food tastes great. The flavor is there but my problem is that the helpings are in small portions for 1 person. I had the teriyaki udon and I understand that udon noodles are alot thicker so most of the time the amount of noodles used are skimmed compared to a regular order of noodles but i literally had 13 strands of udon noodles in my take out bento. I counted them because looking into my bento box it almost seemed like there wasnt anything in there to begin with. I also ordered the spicy california roll but it wasnt spicy at all. It all still tasted great but this has been a huge let down as this my first impression of this facility.

One of the best deals in the city (NYC). Realty good food and you can get in and get out and be on your way. They have a very good selection of sushi, sashimi, various bowls and a lot more. If you like Asian food, be sure not to miss Wasabi when visiting New York City. We have gone multiple times every time we visit the Big Apple.

They also have a wide selection of foods including breakfast sandwiches, different sushi combinations, mid day snacks, hot entrees, and made to order sushi salad bowls. The poke bowls are really good when you add the spicy mayo.

I can't give it one star because let's be fair, at least they have prepackaged food available and that's edible, but they don't store their vegetables/fish well. I've had to give back two poke bowls because the fish was tough and didn't smell fresh. I saw them making more tofu rice bowls as I was waiting to get one in exchange for the bowl i returned, but the croquette tasted badly reheated/stale, and the vegetables tasted like they had touched old fish/weren't fresh either. I would go back for their bottled drinks or japanese snacks they haven't personally handled, but the food they prepare themselves is not good. And this is based on visits to two locations. Sometimes their sushi is okay but after this, I don't think I want to try it anymore. Anywhere else prices their food about the same, but at least it tastes like it's not poorly refrigerated.

I thought this was an actual sushi restaurant as we were looking for sushi one night. Anyhow, this is more of a grab-and-go where you can also sit and eat on their tables. They have a warmed food section where there's bibimbap and cold food section including sushi and poke as well as cold beverages. The hot beverages including tea were purchased and made by the staff behind the cashier. I enjoyed my poke but the bibimbap didn't have the Korean flavors but wasn't bad. Would go back!

What happened to the onigiri's ? The chicken onigiri use to be rice balls with chicken in the center. Now it's chicken flavored rice or something. I didn't see or taste any chicken. Disappointing. Please go back to the original recipe.

Worst gyozas I have ever tried. We didn't plan to came here but a rainy storm started. The salad of the dressing was horrible. I dind't try the fish, but was clearly not fresh and smashed. A photo of my friend's sushi is available. Excesive use of plastics and paper in the packaging. Crazy! I will never recommend this plaze. At least, the personal was kind and gentle.

Honestly, I find it a little precarious when a Sushi place doesn't have working air condition and two of their fridges (which store their sushi) are not working. It makes me question the quality of what they are doing. I ended up getting a grilled chicken udon box and the chicken was extremely dry and their noodles were not sauced enough. Overall not a great experience.

I love this place before, i always get my quick fix meal here but this past month has been awful. "Hot meals" are not even served hot anymore. It looks like it sits for like 2 or more hours. Yes their food still has a great taste but In my opinion, food is not as fresh as it was before.

Very good food and friendly service but terrible ambiance. The music was so loud we had to shout to talk to one another. We had the chicken teriyaki bowl which was pretty good but chicken was a bit tough. Seasoning was good. If they would turn down music volume this would be a 4 star visit.
