The food is good here. This is the only place for korean food around Chinatown. They have lunch specials which are pretty good. Their menu is not that big. They have all the basic barbeques. Their lunch specials tofu soups are a little smaller than their regular bowls. The restaurant is not that big. Bigger parties would probably have to wait longer. The service is good. I did not like the tea that they served.

Quality korean soft tofu soup restaurant located in Chinatown. Definitely should be your go-to if you have a craving for tofu soup (or other Korean dishes that are on their menu) and are in lower Manhattan and don't want to go up to k town (BCD). It's never been too busy and much of wait when I've been for dinner and lunch. Highlights -tofu soup. There's a bit more vegetables in the tofu soup as compared to that at bcd -Side dishes. Good selection and as many refills as you want (no dirty looks for asking for a second of third time) -Service.

We came one Friday, almost a year ago, after a long week to try it out. We've been hooked ever since and have come every week. The staff is very friendly. The food is amazing and fairly priced. They're adding things to the menu even one year later. Just be patient as this is more 'a full home cooked meal' rather than your typical 'chain restaurant, my food should be here in 10.' They do provide a variety of opening side dishes and a steamed egg that comes with your table's orders. One thing I would advise anyone going: Try the Iced Tea! P.S. come hungry, the food is pretty filling for our usual group of 4-6

Chinatown definitely needed this authentic Korean spot. Located on the busy street of Bowery, it's easy to miss. Service was friendly, and food came fast. Lots of lunch specials and combos with some that could be shared. Nice portions, and tasty free banchans. Soondubu is delicious and perfect for this chilly weather. Will surely be back.

I always get plain tofu when I go to new tofu places since it's a always a bigger hit or miss compared to the spicy (even though I love spiciness). The soup is legit, not weak soup covered up by spiciness.

One of the few? maybe only, Korean restaurants in the area. The interior is well decorated and prices are very reasonable. A tofu soup bowl is $12 for lunch and $14 for dinner and comes with all the side dishes (including my fav, the steamed egg)! I can't distinguish whether or not it's better than BCD or other Korean soondubu places, so I consider that a good thing for Tofu Tofu. The place is always clean and well kept, although for the size you would expect more than one bathroom.

There is a smell outside on the sidewalk before you go in. Eat here and you will burp that smell all day. The ox bone soup "taste like what you expect a bone to taste like". The chicken over rice was flavored with the same thing i often encounter on squid salad. They accidentally brought us some other couple's dish that was a heavily whipped egg dish in a really hot bowl sizzling and spitting oil. It was delicious and could have earned a 2nd star..but Edit: My guts have twisted all day since i ate here. I've eaten two small meals since eating at Tofu Tofu and my burps still smell like the dead animal smell you encounter at their front door. They are serving whatever that smell is!

The bathroom is clean the whole space is very welcoming. Customer service as great because the waitress was very nice and although the man who was there was not very talkative, he was patient with us and that made my experience really nice. Finally, THE FOOD was delicious, not only they give you free side dishes, the main plate was incredibly refreshing and overall very flavorful, my friend order yak gae jung (? I came in on a Wednesday night with a couple of friends after a nice workout. My friends and I are usuals there so the boss lady greeted us and seated us immediately and got us hot teas (it was freezing outside in NYC that day). She knew our usual orders, but today I decided to mix it up with the mini bossam combo because I wanted some serious protein. The waiters brought out the side dishes right after we orders and I dug in. All of the side dishes were great, especially the bean sprouts, extra flavorful and crunchy! My mini bossam came out right after and I dug in right away. The pork belly they used was so tender and flavored perfectly and the tofu, radish and kimchi were the perfect sides to compliment the meat. The order also came with a tofu soup on the side, so I got myself a beef soon du but, mild (I know...) And that was delicious too. I come here all the time because the food, service, decor and company is always great. Will and am going again.

I came here yesterday with very low expectations and was completely blown away. The banchon or side dishes was extensive and seemingly endless. The workers were constantly refilling and making sure there was sufficient supply of banchon. The pajeon or seafood pancake was cooked perfectly. The outside was a bit crunchy and the inside was soft and savory. Tofu was delicious and super tasty. What really seaked the deal was the squid bibimbap. The rice had a good crunch on the bottom and seasoned just right. There were hefty portions of squid in the rice. We will need to go back and try the deliciousness on the menu. This will definitely be a weekly venue for us.

One thing they may want to do different is to not put the egg in the tofu soup for you in the kitchen, and let you do it yourself. Get the LA Galbi combo with a soup, and you're set!

Amazing food love the chicken and spicy sauce, their spicy rice cake, their soon tofu, kimchi and seafood pancakes! Looking forward to try more out! Great service both sitting in and for takeouts. They give a good amount of side dishes along with your takeout also. Customer service outstanding. Usually places that I order takeouts at just have you wait at a designated area in the restaurant and that’s pretty much it, but Tofu Tofu service is outstanding - They serve you with water and have you sit and wait at an open table when you wait for your takeout. Will revisit again and again!

I wasn't expecting the tofu soup idea but the dinner meal and price turned out to be something great. Honestly I have family who would like to come to places like this; deffintly bringing them on the next vacation day.
