REVIEWS OF The View Restaurant & Lounge IN New York

Tanja M

The food was just as good as the view. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the waiters were very helpful and friendly with any questions about the menu and offering us information about the view as the room rotated.

Sam Velev

Yesterday I was with my friends there and the food and the atmosphere was fantastic. You can see the view from the roof top and it’s always changing. About the food everything was delicious .. It’s totally worth it to give it a try!

Kyle Williams

May have been a little in the pricier side; however, amazing views, friendly waiters, great service and delicious food. Would definitely recommend

Joe Bloe

Very disappointed with everything. First off, the automatic gratuity of 20% for $59 for 2 people, really!! Ordered the Surf and Turf. 1/2 lobster and Filet Mignon. Lobster and the mignon were both over cooked. The lobster was rubbery and the mignon was barely pink throughout. Our server was ok, but as soon as he had a table of 6 to mend to, we were a second thought. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Kyle Langenstein

Great view, very cool, but food was only good for the price you pay.

Mark Cintron

Best service, amazing views. I just had my engagement party at the view. It was incredible!!! The staff was so attentive and caring our needs we're their only concern. Excellent excellent experience. Recommend for any event

Ian Rohac

I went to the view for my birthday and I had an amazing experience. The views were quite spectacular from almost all angles. The food was very delicious and was presented beautifully. Tracie and Tom were both very attentive and polite servers and they wished me a happy birthday without me even having to tell them. (I'm assuming they found out from the maitre d' who saw it on my reservation) I definitely had a great experience here and would come back again for a special occasion.

Amanda Geer

The views were amazing, and the seating set up means it's hard to get a bad seat. We all enjoyed the buffets and our cocktails. It's really cool that the drink napkins have a map of the visual landmarks to look for as the restaurant rotates.

Ask Imee

It’s a good place to have a drink but the views is not as amazing as other revolving restaurants I have been to. However, this place continue to be my favorite place to have a drink and talk about. For one reason, I have a great fascination of revolving restaurants! I have been to quite a few in the United States and other countries as well. I truly enjoy the feeling of seeing different views of New York skyline. If you wonder what you’re looking at, no need to ask the staff. They have it printed on their paper napkin. I must say, visiting The View for drinks and dinner pleases me all the time. The food selections for their buffet is awesome! Great selections of cheeses and other appetizers. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it-considering you will be treated by the staff and with the magnificent view of New York City. Drinks are stiff so be ready! If you happen to be in Times Square area and wanna have a peaceful and romantic experience, this place is a place to go. Happy eating...safe travels, and be well.♥️

I went there for my birthday and the experience was nothing short of astounding. The elevator that leads to the lounge gives you beautiful views of the hotel. Mind you, there is an $8 cover charge after 8pm on all days. The buffet was brilliant with endless salad and dessert options. Meat variety was not that much but you can't ask for anything more for just $40. I tried 7-8 different cocktails and all of them were great. Our server Pete impressed us with his quick and polite service. He even made a special dessert for me with cream and strawberries and put candles on it to make it special for my bday! It takes roughly 70mins for you to get one 360 degree rotation. The views are amazing. Planning to come back again during the daytime!

Mark Corney

Had good and bad, I would generally have rated this 3 star but the price of the meal was high enough that I expected better. Wine I ordered was bad, shouldn’t have a bad bottle of wine on the menu at a place like this. The pate was too oily, and tasted old. The potato cake with my main tasted as if it was frozen then reheated. The good was the meat which was perfectly cooked, the veggies were also good and the view was incredible. I wouldn’t eat here again for this price, but I would go to get a drink at the bar!

Jonathan Frink

Surprisingly bad. Went here about a year ago and still remember what a disappointment it was. The foie gras was extremely salty. The steak was dry and tasteless. The gnocchi was delicious. Dessert was good. Overall an aggressively mediocre experience. Beautiful view, nice waiters. However at its price point, I consider it to be very bad. Could be worth 4 stars at 40% of the original price.

Colleen Sandorfi

Great service, menu and the views of NYC are incredible!

Kirstin Graham

Amazing service, amazing view and absolutely delicious food.

Paul Ellingwood

Really lovely meal. Service was excellent (thank you Joshua and Samir!). We happened to be finishing our meal when the power went out in the hotel ( and surrounding area in Times Square). The situation was handled professionally and we took the stairs.

Manon Ahmadi-Uri

It was very nice to have a drink with a beautiful view ! The waitress was very nice too and the restaurant is very beautiful and chic ! #MarriottMarquis #buzzybooth

Anthony Francis-Worrell

It was an amazing restaurant and an amazing experience. The view! I would recommend doing dinner around 7 30 pm as you get to see the sunset while having a sumptuous meal. The food is amazing! But what was very important to me as well was the service. The service is probably the best you will ever receive in New York...in fact. ..the world! The staff are soooo nice! I would do this restaurant every single day of my life.

valerie vozhol

Great view, and awesome that the restaurant revolves. About one hour to go all the way around. Drinks are around 20$ a cocktail, which is comparable to other places around, plus you get an awesome view of New York.

Tommy Farmer

Absolutely amazing experience, food was great and view is priceless.

Enrique Rodriguez

I told The View I was getting engaged and wanted a window seat so the moment could be magical and they refused to give me a window seat because they are first come first serve even though I called weeks in advanced, they didn’t even try to make something work for our special day so I went somewhere else where I would have a better experience for the best day of my life. They didn’t even seem to care, terrible service experience just over the phone.

May Nandaura

It was amazing!!!! The restaurant actually moves. The food is delicious!!! You can find everything. Desserts are incredible. Seriously a really good spot in NYC. The view is beautiful.

Jack Thackrah

This restaurant is high a top New York City, revolving to give you a great view of the city. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere was outstanding!

Luisa Rufano

We were there for my daughters 19th birthday What a disappointment, the view lounge is beautiful the waitress was a sweetheart ( but not worth a $60.00 tip that they added to my bill she brought over our drinks and then didn’t come back till asked for the bill) The food was horrible they had a poor selection of food chicken and beef one pasta, the sauce was cold mostly salad type of trays, Neither of us went back for seconds, We decide to proceed to the desert table just to continue our disappointment at this point I’m so angry. A total waste of money a total waste of 427.00. My husband thinks we should try the restaurant, but after waking up this morning with a stomach ache and several trips to the bathroom he changed his mind really quick

Mr. Jones

Came for restaurant week and it was a good deal. Stayed for two revolutions (2 hours). The food was surprisingly good and the staff were quite nice. There is a revolving bar and lounge one flight up too. The ride up in the glass elevators through the Marriott lobby is a real 1980s throwback.

R. Mathis

Love The View... Dinner and service was excellent and you can't beat the views

paul langdell

What an amazing restaurant. Food was unbelievably good, view was even better and the service was both highly professional but friendly at the same time. It was a special treat for me and my partners 40th and Brian was our waiter and was exceptional! Recommend the crab cakes!!

Tom Polito

Great food but high price

Samuel Dong

This is 3rd time coming back this location. Beautiful view.

Shelbra

The food. Amazing. The service. Amazing.

Robert a.

We went to the buffet in the View Lounge. You don't need a reservation (unlike the View restaurant) and the food choice is decent for the price. The view from up there is great. The lounge is family-friendly and kids pay half price. Our 3 year old ate for free.

Ashley McDaniel

So cool being at this place and getting such an amazing boss all the way around!

Michael Taylor

Great views. The food was good. We had the prix fixe menu. We did circle the city views twice.

wisa srisoda

The food was super good. Crab cake is a must for appetizer. Good place to bring special person.

Alisha Freeman

I wanted to like it more... I really did. But it was just ok. The wait even with a reservation was long. The food was ok. And the "view" was obstructed. I'm glad to have had the experience, though. The best part of our evening was our waiter. I can't remember his name but he was so awesome and kind!

Meghan

Fantastic place! Great food! Best view in the city! The service was fantastic, they were so nice, sweet, and they really knew their stuff!

Andy Coulton

Great place to visit if your in the Times Square area. We originally only went up for a drink but as we revolved around the buffet section we thought it would be rude to not enjoy some of the decent looking food. It was fairly priced and the staff were attentive and friendly. Some amazing views of the best city in the world while you eat. What more could you want?

Mirelys Perez

The view.is breathtaking as expected, and it is worth the wait for a table by the window. We had an incredible dining experience. This missing star is because the people sitting near me were EXTREMELY obnoxious and not once were they told to respect others dining experience but I guess they were also paying for their experience??? Loved it, food was incredible, service was good, the view .. SPECTACULAR.

Anton Zouplna

A very fun and elegant dining experience. The food was spectacular and the views are awesome. Enjoyed everything about it. Would highly recommend but get reservations.

Sarah Loughnane

Lovely food and excellent service, a nice treat.

Janet Blinn

In the heart of Manhatten this location's name is spot on! Add in the rotating floor and you have breathless stunning views to keep you enthralled the whole night! An absolute must visit, even if you just stop by for drinks, although i recommend coming here hungry for their buffet dinner!

John Burkert

Very nice view as it should be to live up to the name. This is a price fix restaurant for three courses. Shareable sides are extra. My wife and I had different salads, mine was heirloom tomato caprices with what i believe was very fresh mozzarella, it was delicious. We both got the lamb chops, I asked for med. rare but they were done just a little bit past that point but very tasty. The restaurant takes 1 hour to make a full 360 degree spin. Be sure to get a copy of the drink napkin with the names of the buildings you will see while eating (the wait staff will help you figure out were they are). Service is very good and there is no rush to turn the table over we did at least to full spins. This is were I think Google should increase the rating system to 1 thru 10. To me this place is better than a 4 but not a quite a 5 (I am hard pressed on this system to give 5's) on a 1 to 10 this would be a 8.5

Stoyan Georgiev

The food was good, the rotating 360 view of Manhattan was amazing! The buffet offers choices for different tastes and anyone can find something they like. The $8 cover fee looked a bit weird considering you pay $50 for the buffet.

Miguel Nava

Very good place, service and view.

Brenda McManus

We celebrated my husband’s birthday in NYC. After a Broadway show, we enjoyed cocktails at The View Lounge. Stunning views at night. We were very pleased with their signature drinks, a Top of the View, also enjoyed some of the largest Shrimp Cocktail we’ve ever had. Attentive service. We highly recommend the Sunday Brunch. We start with Mimosas.....fresh squeezed OJ, then enjoyed 5 courses of whatever we wanted. The stations of breads, fruits, pastries, cold salads, warm salads, appetizers, veggies, fruits, carving stations, breakfast (everything you could possibly think of) and a Chocolate Fountain made it a very special Birthday celebration for my husband. Our waiter even brought a special dessert that said Happy Birthday + a lit candle & we sang happy birthday to him. We highly recommend the Marriott Marquis Times Square. In fact, we just confirmed our reservations for our next NYC visit with this Marriott Marquis. ✨✨✨✨✨

alicia

We absolutely love coming here for Food and drinks .. Staff is wonderful!! Great place to socialize Except on LIVE BAND NIGHTS!! They have the volume up RIDICULOUSLY LOUD for an indoor restaurant!!!! I would love to stay & enjoy it but just can't tolerate the volume. I love going out to nightclubs but don't enjoy the volume at dinner!!

Brian Pontious

I would go! What I loved: My girlfriend loved everything she was served. The steak was delicious. The view. The view makes the price worth it! What I didn't like: The server asked to include the 18% tip with the bill which I found to be odd. Maybe I just don't go to fancy restaurants enough but I have never had someone ask that and didn't particularly like it. Outside of my steak, I found the food to be "okay". My girlfriend loved everything so it could just be me. The desert menu includes ice cream which is nice for people like me who like to keep it simple, Yet you can't even put toppings on it. Come on, give me some sprinkles!! Overall, I would go again.

Jeremy o

Review is for the lounge only. 4 stars for the incredible view, 3 stars for the food, at best. It's a buffet, with only 3 main entree options. Decent salad bar, but even with the chocolate fountain, the desserts fall flat on flavor. $45 for the adult buffet... What you're basically paying for here is the view, and the rotating platform.

Jeff Podwats

Great service. Great view. Awesome drinks. Be prepared to pay an $8 cover after 8pm. Which seems absurd to me considering the cost of everything already but I'm sure people pay it so why not? Our waiter Jeffery was awesome

Roger Grant

An unbelievable experience. Marriott at it's finest. Sure, it is a little pricey, but we'll worth it and the food is great! A must visit while in NYC!

Vashti Clarke

The food was great and service was impeccable. My server was Antonio who is most charming, patient and very knowledgeable of everything on the menu. Beautiful scenery as the restaurant rotates.

Steve Campbell

Mostly great views, but there's a lot of nothing views too. Service was good. Drinks weren't too crazy for NYC. The buffet on the non dinner level was very unremarkable for $40. There is no bar.

Clive Brampton

Very nice food and great experience in the rotating restaurant

Elizabeth Steinberg

Excellent. We had a fabulous time. Food and the View was amazing. A must try while in New York.

Shirl Eaton

It takes one hour to do one full rotation. Have a drink and enjoy "the View". It was a bit dark, l went late at night, but it had a nice atmosphere.

Jackie Montanaro

Nothing special.Small selection of food for buffet and everything expensive includes a cover charge of 8usd per person.

Junga Lakshmi

Nice view. Good Cocktails. Good service Did not eat.

Fresh Mint

I came here a few months ago and the view was ok it was mostly dirty windows I ordered a steak and it wasn't well seasoned food was mostly soggy and covered in oil My fiends paid 600+ for food that wasn’t even ok it was just the 4 of us I haven’t gone here for 4 years I’m thankful I didn’t go there my self.It would have been embarrassing if I went there saying this as a New Yorker who has lived here there whole life spend you’re hard earned cash some where else this restaurant is just a show off place to come to if you have money to burn If you want a restaurant with a good view and tasty food there’s lots of other places this is just a tourist trap Only went here once last time I’m going there for sure!!

Clifton Smith

Great views, decent food in the lounge. Offer formal dining as well.

Julie

The View, revolving restaurant is a must visit if in New York! Amazing location, incredible views, staff absolutely fantastic. Luis and Ray went above and beyond with the friendly service and knowledge of the sights as the restaurant revolved. The food was tremendous. Great experience and highly recommend a visit if in New York

Brandon Gagne

Nice... And expensive. It's basically 20 bucks a pop here. Went with 2 others. We had just 1 drink reach and shared 1 app. Came to $96 with the tip

Rosaly Santana

Overall, the place was beautiful and the food was delicious. When we (Party of 2) received our bill we noticed we were automatically charged gratuity, even though the menu clearly stated gratuity is chrage to party of 6 or more. As if two minorities in their 20s are not competent enough to tip properly so the waiter took it upon himself to charge gratuity. The attendant gave me weird faces when I asked about certain plates. Just felt offended by this waiter on many different levels. Will not be returning.

kris robinson

So I've been in two minds about what rating to give The View restaurant but think 3 is an accurate reflection. The experience itself is great, a rotating restaurant that gives good views of the NYC skyline, my partner and I went for dinner before watching one of the many stage shows nearby. We went up while it was still light outside and was unfortunate that some cloud cover came in but can only imagine how good it must be at night with clear weather. The service was great, but considering the price I was expecting really good food but for me it was average, I had burrata as a starter and steak filet as my main both courses were ok but I've had much better for less money but then I guess considering the location and experience you have to pay a premium. I would recommend this place just on the service and experience of a rotating restaurant, but it's quite expensive for average food.

Patsy Pro

Wonderful experience! Excellent food and view. Professional and very attentive staff.

Sandra Roberts-Taylor

Beautiful view, cocktails a little pricey, but a great margarita

Jessica Hagreaves

Delicious food with great staff. Will be back

William Ruiz

Took my wife for her birthday. The staff were excellent. Made special requests even on a busy Friday night. The food was just right and was well worth the price. Excellent wine selection. The views were really nice to look at while dining.

Brianna Jordan

Really great experience and the views were amazing

Peter Schravemade

Great place for a business meeting or a romantic catch up. Really busy during peak periods so book ahead. The food was generally fantastic. Great wine list too.

Cindy Moldovan

Very nice restaurant with a spectacular view of NYC. Romantic territory fun. My friends and I had drinks and appetizers late one night and all were delighted. Exceptiona hand crafted cocktails, some of the best I have ever had.

Melanie Coffey

Fabulous food, incredible views. Cannot fault the service provided to us by Tracie and Tim whose knowledge and personality added to the experience. Wouldn't hesitate to advise you to attend.

stephano s

Great service! A bit pricy but you get what you pay for!!!

J Prez

This duplex Restaurant and Lounge is wonderful, It sits inside and on top of the Marriott Maquis in the heart of Timesquare. To get to it its a bit tricky, you have to go up to the third floor which you can get to using escalators from the ground floor. Once on the third floor you will see a row of elevators with one marked "The View". The Restaurant is located on the 48th floor, and once your in the elevator it will zip up pretty quickly....so enjoy the ride. You are greeted by the hostess upon entry and he/she will seat you at a available table. The Restaurant itself is very nice, upscale, organized, clean, and has a soft dimmed ambiance setting with lit candles on each table and not to mention the View is beautiful especially at night as the entire restuarant rotates in a 360 view. This Restaurant and Lounge is great for business meetings, dates, anniversaries, Romance etc etc. Food and beverages where delicious and great, buffets open to self serve, service is pretty good, restrooms are clean but be warned this place is a tad bit pricey...so know what your getting into before hand. Overall my experience at this place was great and memorable, I am sure to return again and recommend this place for sure.

mark alicea

Very nice restaurant to go to food was really good service was on point

Arianna Rule

Great customer service. Our server overheard we had two birthdays at our table and surprised us with two dishes of mini desserts on the house. Drinks were very well made as well. Wonderful experience all around. Also noticed they had a selfie station with options for Gif, boomerang, picture or video. Definitely a cool touch! #MarriottMarquis #buzzybooth

Daria DeRogatis-Smith

Obviously the views we're fantastic. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient. And participating in restaurant week it was absolutely affordable.

Amanda Torres

The food was definitely not that great. For the procr I expected top quality tasting food. If u get motion sickness such as I do not stare too much outside. You do not feel the floor move. The views were great. The service was amazing. The food definitely needs to be better.

Bill Flagg

A great spot for a romantic dinner or drinks and small bites from the lounge. You great great views from the 48th floor and you rotate full circle in an hour. A perfect spot for cocktails with a sunset view! The only drawback is if you are not a hotel guest they charge $8 person cover.

Sykes CrisisFire

The Staff and service was superb. Everything from the sides, entrees, and wine was excellent. The rotating visuals from that height only made that perfect evening and meal more enjoyable. A "must go" restaurant destination!

Shavell Sherman

I have always loved the view and have been there for drinks but I went during restaurant week this time and had dinner (special menu for Restuarant week). The portions were small and was just okay. However, I had the crab cake for an appetizer (which was not on the special menu) and that was fabulous. Also, the dessert was great as well.

Cecilia Caines-Brown

My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary here and it was so romantic. Amazing restaurant that rotates while you eat! Food was delicious and sangria tasty. Definitely worth a visit.

Vaughn Weatherdon

Went for a drink, had a great cocktail and amazing view. Great experience

Siobhan Sharp

Amazing food, amazing view, amazing staff! Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. Definitely recommend

Eric Sweet

The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the service. I would really like to honor Samir and Joshua for their service. They were exceptionally friendly and funny which is what made our experience so amazing. Keep up the good work.

Chris Honour

Great food great view... endeded up with a free meal as a power cut hit time square!!!! Result lol

Peter Alfaro

For it's namesake The View has amazing views of the NYC skyline. You won't miss any sites with their rotating restaurant and lounge. They have a good variety of choices on their prix fixe menu. The food and service was excellent. A bit pricey but will worth it to celebrate a special occasion.

Alisha Kelly

You should definitely hit this restaurant for the experience. It has a transformative and elegant decor. Admittedly, I wish that the restaurant had more options when it comes to its choices on the menu and I further wish that the food at times had more favor.

Mary Lou Edgar

Great food. Great service. Great view!

Citizen Stewart

The brunch is superb with several stations for appetizers, pastries, buffet foods, and on-demand omelets. Mimosas are included. The rotating platform slowly reveals multiple spectacular views of NYC. Servers are attentive and the price is moderately expensive.

Oksana Ksyunya

Love their dessert bar. Delicious food, beautiful view. Price are reasonable.

David Yoo

In my opinion this is one of "must visit" places if you enjoy rooftop bars. I have never tried the food here but they looked pretty good (though fairly pricy). The place rotates slowly so you can catch the 360° view around ~30 minutes. Would definitely recommend for events and anniversaries with a small group

Magdalen Beiting

This place is a great spot for a view of the whole city. The ambiance is good and the service was very friendly. The food is good, too, but not a lot of vegetarian options. The strawberry cheesecake dessert is especially good.

Eric Daurio

Enjoyed a romantic dinner overlooking NYC. The service was warm and inviting. The slowly revolving restaurant offered an every changing view. And the food was full of flavor. It was an experience that has turned into a great memory.

Hollie Lyon

I had the dessert bar. Not that great but the service and the view was spectacular.

Annmarie B

Wonderful view. Turning floor that changes your scenery. A bit pricey for a buffet. The desserts we're much better than the buffet menu.

Dale Samuels

The staff is courteous. The view is ok, but compared to other spinning 360 view restaurants (Berlin tv tower & Toronto's CN tower) it is leaving in that regard. The food is delicious and the service is quick! Be willing to fork out the dough, this is on the higher priced side of restaurants.

Robert Cardoni

The views are amazing... service is great. Drinks are pricey ($20 glass of wine) There is a one drink minimum and $8 cover if you aren’t staying at the hotel There’s food - but it didn’t seem worth the price - $42 for dinner and $22 for desserts.

Julia Gross

This is an amazing restaurant. Our server was so nice The food was great A fantastic experience Try the crab cake appetizer

Chris Steel

Fantastic place with a great view and the food was incredible. When you arrive you get out the lift on the top of two floors onto the buffet area. Despite telling staff we had a meal reservation, we was seated and ordered drinks. It wasn't till a few minutes later when my wife went to the restroom we realised our reservation was on the lower of the two floors in the restaurant rather than the upper level buffet diner. Once in the correct spot, the food and service was faultless.

Nancy Beal

Great view (appropriately named), friendly service, fun elevator ride up 48 floors. Only downside: it was the most expensive drink (by far) I've ever had! Plus a mysterious "cover charge". Come with gobs of cash & you'll be fine! Very enjoyable.

Josephine Clarke

Fab place for a quiet drink. Rxpensive but nice views of the city

Tiffany Oglesby

The ambience was beautiful, the service was great, but unfortunately the food was not impressive. The crab cake appetizer was delicious. For dinner, I had the surf and turf. I ordered my filet mignon medium well, and it was quite dry. My side of veggies was very salty. The dessert menu was also unimpressive. Our server, Rand, was honest and attentive. I would return for the ambience, the experience, and the service, but I would explore other food options on the menu. The set price dinner was about $100. It included the appetizers, dinner, and dessert. The surf and turf was $23 more if you chose it as your dinner.

Leinadjh

Lovely bit of grub, decor could be updated and a cheeky splash of paint could prove beneficial. Good service and friendly waiting staff.

Brayden Mora

The restaurant has a fixed menu consisting of appetizer, mains and a dessert. They also have vegan and gluten free dishes. I had Chilled Maine Lobster for starter and it was okay. My Fillet Mignon was cooked to my liking - medium. Tasty and meat tender. Better to book in advance to secure a choice table. Service was okay but overly familiar, probably it’s their thing so no issue. Overall a good dining experience

Claudia Slusser

Fabulous foods, exceptional service all with incredible views

Zoe Dymond

Fab food, with fab view, fab staff, a great start to a great family moon in NYC

Wen Dy

Delicious cocktails and good atmosphere

Geralyn Sheridan

Loved it. Beautiful moving view. Perfect sunset dinner, which was the dessert and cheese bar!!

joris joris

The place was really loud, so if you like lounges this is definitely not the best place to be. The staff allowed us to order drinks and food, just to ask us to leave at 12:15am although they stated they were going to be opened up until 12:30am Overall experience is mixed : nice view, but poor execution from the staff. I wouldn't recommend this place for a lovely evening.

Eben Allen

Meal (lamb shank) was outstanding with all courses very enjoyable. With the service throughout prompt and we'll timed. Restaurant is a little dated and could do with a gloss over but the bar isn't so dated from memory. Views across Manhattan are good without being spectacular as your gaze isn't without interruption due to building itself. That makes it sound bad, which it is not, just not spectacular. Price is not cheap but that is to be expected due to location, quality of food and experience. Glad to have eaten there and would go again as ultimately the food was mouthwatering.

Michael Connor

Cocktails were expensive but good. The $8 cover charge per person just to be up there was a bit rich considering we were buying food and drinks. So for a couple if you want two cocktails it's going to cost you $56 straight up not including your tip which is 15% so almost $64 than buying food took it to another level. Besides that we found the waitresses nice and the view was lovely.

Kanat M.

The view is really great, service is perfect but food could be much better. The appetizers were ok, desserts were pretty good but steak was not good at all. Place is a little overpriced, for 2 person: couple cocktails, 2 appetizers and 2 steaks with tips I paid $300.

Sharayah sherry

My family and I really enjoyed our time at the View. It is a beautiful restaurant and a unique experience. We did not realize the menu was a 3 course meal, my grandma was only wanting a bowl of soup because she cannot eat much. And thankfully the restaurant understood and let her share with her husband without charge, as that did not seem like it was policy. We greatly appreciated it. I have attached a 360 time lapse video from our table. It was an Extrodinare view.

Darrel Abbey

Go to the lounge without a reservation and enjoy the very reasonably priced all you can eat buffet.

jerilyn b

Loved It!!! Took my daughter there for finishing her first year of college!!! Amazing place!!! Very cool to see NYC from up there... the fact that it rotates is awesome.. Expensive but worth it

Christopher Focht

The view is absolutely worth it. There is a $8 cover charge they apply per person after 8pm but worth it regardless. Drinks are a little pricey but were tasty. We didn't try the buffet, but what we saw looked alright. The view really is incredible, it rotates 360 degrees once an hour and you get to see so much of the city.

Chris heckler

Service doesn't pay much attention but the atmosphere is great. If your looking for good service maybe not the best place.

Dallas Deakins

Such a fun experience! My coworkers and I spent almost 5 hours in the lounge! The buffet was fabulous! And the desert bar was to die for!! And if course the veiw is what made it so special!

S P

Great views of midtown manhattan and it’s the only rotating rooftop in nyc! I actually wasn’t looking to come here. My first date and I were just looking for a place to hang out and then somehow I ended up taking her here. It’s more of a proposal spot than a first date spot

Sascha Warner

Food was wonderful. Best service. Great wine

Shanicqua Bynum

It was very valuable for my Hospitality Students to experience Fine Dining. They waitstaff was knowledgeable and the food was beautifully presented & served.

Marigold Poinsettia Uy

Great food. Good service from waiter Samir and Josh. They made it possible for my family to have dinner quickly to catch a show after though we were 30mins late on our dinner reservation. Thank you.

Emma Berry

I love love love this place. It's expensive ($60 Or so for brunch) but the location cannot be beaten. Brunch on a Sunday includes as much as you care to eat from an amazing selection of excellent food, plus two mimosas. You get to enjoy it high above the New York skyline in a restaurant that is revolving! What could be better?! I can't think of a better place to celebrate a special occasion.

Kamala Pielmeier

So beautiful. Worth the cost.

Jill Navarra

Amazing views of NYC skyline pass slowly by as restaurant revolves. Awesome selection of food at the brunch buffet. Come hungry and pace yourself, so many good things to taste.

Nice bar with great view and service. Waitress warned me about the time from which the cover would be charged...that was nice from her. Little tip: invite someone to go there but don't tell about the moving gimmick...wait for the reactions.

After reading some of the mixed reviews we were a little anxious as we were celebrating our wedding earlier in the day. We shouldn’t have been worried- the service was very good , with staff friendly and attentive. It was more money than what we normally spend but definitely worth it. The food was good and the changing views were amazing. We checked sunset times do we watched the daytime sky change to night time.

Table booked for 8pm,arrived 750pm. We had requested a window seat if possible as it was for our anniversary , when we arrived we were asked if we requested a window seat and to go upstairs to the bar and our table would be no more than 30mins.after 45mins we returned to ask about our table to which we were told wasn't ready as we had asked for a window seat and this was first come first served. If we had known this was the reason we weren't seated at the time of booking we would have taken another table. Very poor experience would definitely not recommend

Dusk is best, dont start eating till you have surveyed all selections on the buffet.

Came back to the place after 5 years and its still one of the best revolving restaurants. Love spending the eve here watching sun go down and the glitter of NYC taking over from hundreds (if not thousands) of lights from Times Square. You can't go wrong here. Must visit.

Very nice view if you cant sit still. Will feel the moving at first but will get used to it. Good portions fo restaurant week. Staff is a little slow and TOO accommodating but otherwise a great once in a lifetime experience.

Our experience was .... fantastic... in every way. The meal was prepared perfectly, the atmosphere wonderful and the view magnificent in the evening. We will return.

Very classy restaurant and the food was delicious.

Awesome view, food was delicious and i really liked the presentation of the food. Rita was our waitress. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Good food. Great view!

Decent but less than expected. The food in the restaurant on the 8th floor was better and less expensive. The view is not adequate to justify the cost difference. I really wanted to be wowed. I wasn't.

Come here expecting an upscale Lounge vibe of the city. Instead what I got resembled a true vibe of an institutional cafeteria. We were seated without question and then left to our devices for about 12 minutes. Getting up and looking around we discovered a stale buffet that didn’t warrant anything close to the $62 with dessert that the View offered. When the server finally showed up, we ordered a cocktail with the bill and check this place of our list, two stars purely for the view of the city that can be much better at other lounges or restaurants.

Food was delicious! The salmon was perfectly medium well but the lentils were slightly undercooked. The lobster mac was super cheesy, not too salty and the lobster was cooked perfectly the consistency was buttery and juicy. The truffle mashed potatoes were creamy and the layers of flavor are out of this world. The view is unlike any other view of the city but because the restaurant turns slowly you may experience slight nausea. I had my dessert, cheesecake to go, and it was good cheesecake with strawberry sauce and fresh strawberries. We ordered a bottle of Cristal and our quality of service increased tremendously. Our waiter was never bad, they just became way more attentive once the champagne was order. The place was packed and there were several people celebrating birthdays, I'd recommend you go here for special occasions unless you're ready to spend 100$+ on a meal on a casual night.

WOW! LIKE ROYALTY! Great views from way up high of New York City. This luxury restaurant slowly revolved so you could see the fantastic historic buidings of the city. The waiters were so proper but so friendly and polite! We ate off fine cloth, had a 3 course meal, the desserts were a tough choice, the New York Cleese Cake was my choice of course. The waiters would tell us the name of the famous buildings as we passed by. I had a sangria which started the evening on a very happy note! Please put this restaurant on your list of "musts". You won't regret it!

The restaurant has a fabulous location and the unique advantage of being a revolving restaurant in the middle of Times Square! Great views over the river and the Manhattan skyline. Had the buffet one evening - which was quite decent - but could be better! The place needs to up the lux-quotient for the opportunity that it is. All in all a good experience!

Amazing experience! Worth the serious pricey plates. Budget 1.5 times the per plate cost though!

Excellent food and excellent service!! Will definitely go back!!

Great enjoyed very much. Get the all you can eat Buffett. If soft drinks and coffee were included and self serve would be much much better because you have to count on you server for that and it's very very slow. Servers seem to be great but to few of them. Let them bring all alcohol and other duties and let us do the rest. Would be much better in general for the public and there ratings would go up do to better service and better deal. I walked around for about 1hr talking to all customers maybe 20 different tables and many people at buffet lines and all wanted better and faster table service. Food was fine but not great and no fruit pies no soup no rice etc. Most people said it's good for a 1 time try only.

Food was great along with the service.

The proteins were cooked to perfection but everything else on the plate was bad, the mushrooms, the carrots, the green beans... None of the garnishes were cooked the way they're supposed to. The desserts where awful. And the view could have been better if the windows were clean.

Food was delicious the views amazing and the service second to none. They even gave me a birthday cake! I Loved it

Great view, good service. They were nice and respectful even though we only ordered one juice to each one of us (juice was tasty).
