The place is nice, but I was there celebrating a friend's Birthday and as we enter the roof top, the ask to take our cupcakes for later. When we were ready to sing happy birthday to my friend, they can't find our cupcakes and then tell us they gave our cupcakes to another group. This in turn ruined our time at the Skylark.

This place has the best views. We didn't stay long because it was very crowded and there was no place to sit. The outside seating area is small but I would recommend trying to get a seat because the view of the harbor can't be beat.

So the views are amazing and the food is appetizer good. The server we had was good at first but messed up royally at the end. I closed the check out with a $40 tip on a $180 bill. My dessert never made it out after 30 minutes the waitress said "oh you never got your dessert " another 15 min on top of that still nothing . The manager took off the dessert charge and I took my tip back. Place wasn't even busy for a mistake like this to happen.

Great atmosphere, superb food (try the sliders) and extra friendly staff. Recommended to those who look for elegant and more relaxed place. We waited for 15 minutes for the last round and didn't received it due to backed up bar, and I don't think this is excaptable in these kind of places. Still, i will defently come back once I am in NY.

This is a great place to start your evening or to end. Very upscale very laid-back. This isn’t a loud and obnoxious lounge where you can’t hear the person next to you. The music is tasteful and it’s the right age range. Highly recommend getting reservations before coming as there is no cover charge and walk-ins are welcomed all night long. Wait staff is very friendly and not very pushy at all. The cocktails are very creative and interesting, keep an open mind and you may find yourself a new favorite drink. The views are magnificent of the New York City skyline. Highly recommend coming here next time you guys are looking for a upscale wet bar.

Awesome rooftop bar with amazing views - Empire State Building, Time Square, Hudson River and great cocktails. We came for a night cocktail after a Broadway show (we saw Phantom of the Opera which we also highly recommend!) and it was a great finish of the day with really tasty and interesting cocktails, nice relaxing atmosphere, great service and amazing views. Exactly what we were after! Highly recommend!

I went there with my friend , unfortunately they didn’t let us in because my friend didn’t bring her Passport, we are travelers and do not carry our passports with us , i’m 31 and she is 25 I had my foreign ID on me , even when we let the security downstairs call the manager to tell him we both do not drink alcohol at all he wouldn’t let us in , we only wanted to eat and enjoy the rooftop view . Very disappointing. You guys should right it down on your website, afterwards we went to another place where they also serve liquor and we had no problem to get seated . Best regards

My wife and I got married there the first weekend in March 2018 and it was incredible. As part of our process we visited on a normal weeknight. The venue is so adaptive and the staff is amazing. The food is great and the facilities lend themselves to the best dance party ever. The staff is unbelievably professional and attentive but never overbearing. The sunset and evening views are so phenomenal that you might be tempted to downplay the food and quality of service. If you haven't been you should absolutely go!

The Skylark slapped on my face and took me 100 years back with its oppression! I was there last night. The place has an African-American servant in their restroom who greets you, navigates you to available one, waits for you to come out, opens the tap, holds a paper towel for you till you finish washing your hands and greets you again AND it is called luxury in modernity! Horrible feeling and experience of persecution! Other than that the place has a beautiful skyline view. For $$$$ pricing their foods and drinks are quite standard.

We felt really important from the gates to the rooftop! Ask for the corner table where you can view the Times Square from the top, Chrysler and Empire State buildings. I suggest you reserve ahead and make sure you do it before the season gets too cold! Great food with a good selection of drinks. We had cocktails, rosé, beer, baby back ribs and burger sliders. Impressed with the service. All that in my jumpskirt and sneakers. The only thing I wished was to be dressed up differently!

I did not and do not find this information posted anywhere. We wasted a valuable evening, with no ability to make another reservation that late.

Reserved a table for four on my birthday through Open Table and had the most amazing experience! They gave us the best table on the balcony, free margarita shots, and even brought out little cupcakes with a candle to sing Happy Birthday! If you want a bar with amazing views, close to time square, this is it!

What an awesome bar! The view is pretty much amazing from any angle and a ton of fun at night. I came here for an after party and the place was packed, but still a lot of fun. The bartenders are in classic outfits and making very complicated concoctions of spirits. Getting in is an adventure too, going through a door to a hallway to find the door guy at the elevator...

Way way way too crowded! Drinks and appetizers were good but the rooftop area was massively packed. Opens at 430, got there at about 515PM and waiting for a table was nearly impossible on the rooftop and ordering a drink was taking over 30min. Eventually gave in and sat downstairs. Service was great downstairs!

Love this place. One of the best views I’ve had in NYC. Beautiful rooftop bar. Lots of room for exploring, both inside, and on the outside rooftop patio. Venue is gorgeous. Definitely will come back next time I visit NYC. Overpriced but what else can you expect in that area?

30 stories up in the heart of times square, The Skylark is a rooftop cocktail lounge with panoramic views of the Hudson River, The Empire State Building, and Midtown Manhattan. When you're in Time Square it's really hard to find non-touristy/non-chain locations to enjoy a good cocktail so I tend to pick the Skylark especially when its nice out. High on top of an Art Deco building in the Garment District with great views and great drinks. We were out celebrating a birthday and wanted to go somewhere nice for after dinner drinks. I’m glad I made a reservation at Skylark! I had on my reservation it was a birthday celebration and totally forgot about it since made reservation a few weeks in advance, but guess what? They surprised us with little cupcakes (from baked by Melissa BONUS POINTS!!) and candles. Staff is super attentive, unlike most midtown rooftop bars, they really made our night magical! =]

Came here few times and everytime i ordered different drinks! All the mixed-drinks and cocktails were nice! They offer amazing appetizer like sliders , mac and cheese, chips and guac & etc! The service is on point every time! The server makes sure everything is alright! The view itself is pretty decent! Overall decent rooftop bar in the city!

I went here recently on a Friday night with my girlfriend. Venue is very nice. Trendy decor and tremendous views of midtown Manhattan. A great place to bring a date and impress. That being said, drinks are midtown Manhattan prices. Around $ 15 each. We ordered three dishes to share. Food was good, not great. Service was lackluster. We had to wave down our waitress every time we needed something. Also, for some reason, they have no utensils.

Was waiting in line while the bouncer accepted one person and rejected someone essentially wearing the same clothing. Their dress code seems to be based on some type of discriminatory criteria as opposed to being an actual dress code. Avoid.

We went here on our holiday on February 7. The location and food were really good but the service was horrible. They kept asking every 5 minutes if we wanted to order something. We ordered 4 drinks and 2 meals. Even when we had food and drinks they kept pushing to order more. Really annoying and even ridiculous. They brought the bill without asking just after we finished our food and we still had our drinks. They really urged us to go. The people sitting next us could stay while they only had ordered some water and one dish. We had to go to another restaurant for the rest of our meal and drinks. Very disappointing.

One of my favorite spots to hang out in NYC. Yes it’s a rooftop bar in Times Square and somewhat touristy, but the interior and decor are absolutely gorgeous and the drinks and bites are delicious. They change the bites menu from time to time as well. If it’s not too warm, go hang on the roof. But I prefer sitting inside as they have floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views of midtown + Empire State Building

Went on a Tuesday evening around 8 - entry was smooth and it wasn't too crowded. There isn't an outdoor area, but the view was great, overlooking part of Times Square. For a great view of the Empire State Building, there is a table in the corner near the restrooms, as well as the billiards room downstairs. I ordered the liquid chocolate truffle cocktail, which was interesting. Atmosphere was great and the music wasn't too loud. Good for conversation. I didn't try their food but it looked good. Would come again!

I love this place because it one of the rooftop of midtown that its only full of local/ worker for afterwork drinks and not tourist. Special mention for the security guys at the entrance that are always super mega nice guys ! Reserved a week ahead of time for a big NYC trip, set our week's schedule around that, traveled an hour on the subway to get there, then denied entry because we had a 12 year old. I understand if that's a rule... BUT PUT IT ON YOUR WEB SITE, which we scoured in advance for that very thing. Very disappointed, won't return, but soon found several nearby bar/apps places that were happy to take our money "as is."

I had my 25th birthday celebration here on 11/3/17 and had an unbelievable time. Even with the cold weather persisting, the views that Skylark boasts are so breathtaking that you don't even mind not spending time on the rooftop. The drinks are made right and the managerial staff and other employees are very kind and helpful. I had a party of 17 and had reserved the Pool Room which was perfect to serve as the central hangout spot. The staff had put additional stools alongside one of the walls which really gave it a comfy party feel. Every area of the lounge is so sleek and inviting, you can't help but roam around and mingle. The pizza on the dinner bites menu was amazing as well! I definitely recommend this spot for any occasion from a girls night out to a formal event because its versatility is endless. I corresponded with Kira who is the office manager; she handled my initial inquiry and finalized my reservation. She answered all of my silly questions, provided me with platter and pitcher options, and informed me of the staff who would be present the night of my party, should I need anything else. You cannot go wrong with visiting Skylark!

Arrived at this place using a "taxi" driven by a "driver". After I arrived I was thrown into a lift by my excitement but before I could escape the realisation that I am petrified of heights the doors shut. The lift fired upwards at Mach 3 and I arrived at the top in a fortnight. Once at the top my blood began to boil and all the liquids within my body had began to steam out of my skin paws. So I shut the window and closed of *THE VOID*. MAGNIFICENT view of the skyline of the lines of the New York skyline of the skyscraper. Would absolutely recommend astronauts to use this transportation to save fuel on the journey to space, you silly bowls. Yours admirably, Admiral Fargo Footy.

Amazing views of the city. Very pricey cocktails, tasty, but probably not worth $18. Pool table. Many tables that all seem to be reserved. All jackets and bags must be checked before entering. Bar staff, hostesses, etc are all friendly. In case you're wondering, that weird red logo on one Penn plaza isn't for a brand. Well not a real brand. It's a right side up and upside down numeral 1. With some lights seemingly burnt out lights.

One of the best rooftops I ve been to in NYC. The food and the cocktails were both great. For cocktails we had Spring Collins, The Coco, The Borracho Amigo and The Skylark. Spring Collins is refreshing and light. The skylark was really strong but I liked it. We also ordered General Tsao's Crispy Cauliflower which was absolutely amazing. The only thing that I didn't like was that they told me that a large party is arriving so I only have only till 7pm, although I made a reservation at 5pm.

I am not in the habit of posting negative reviews but I feel the need to share.. I was visiting relatives in Manhattan last month and they suggested a cocktail before our evening meal. We queued patiently to get in and then the bouncer/ doorman approached us and looked us up and down with a look of disgust on his face. Granted we weren't in our party gear but we looked more than respectable. He asked do you have a reservation and he said if not we're full. He then moved to the group of young pretty group of girls behind us who also hadnt booked and let them in..... Mmmmm I might be middle aged but if you only give access to young girls it would be nice to know .My tip don't go here unless you are very young and dressed to party or you want to be made feel an idiot... Your loss not mine we found a much nicer bar just around the corner with lovely staff
