I tried this place before with a friend and I am addicted since then. I liked the good atmosphere and delightful dishes and drinks. 5 stars.

Wassim Ayass

It was a great place for a nice simple dinner. I sat outside and it was nice. The food was very delicious and tasty. It’s a good place for a romantic dinner or date, but not for a group of people. The service was fine, could be better.

This place is just the best! If you come to the city or this part of town and dont go ..your missing out. Been coming for years and love the menu selection. French food at its finest. Onion soup..the best I have ever had. Escargot cooked perfect. Spicy chicken, sauteed chicken topped with a light salad. Great bread... the steak and freis..melt in your mouth. BYOB for wine and beer..cash only.. so quaint tucked away in the best neighborhood.

John Gunderman

Great food, but I always smell like grease after I've eaten here. BYOB.

Kamael Sugrim

Oh how I love this little gem of a restaurant! It's one of my favorite go to spots when I come back to visit. It's tiny and not suitable for big groups or fast service. It's a nice slow french meal

Asha Kumar

The best non fuss good food brunch place. Would definitely recommend people to come here.

Ara Bilazarian

Cash only, cute inside, BYOB and drink mimosas all morning long. Literally one special little place in wvillage and not many like it.

Karolina Polska

I like this place, at least two times a week I am here!

Maddie Gaither

Always good. The room is small but cozy and it’s a no-frills service environment. I usually get the gnocchi with a salad and you save so much money by brining your own bottle of wine. A neighborhood gem and one of my favorites!

Cedes

The eggs Benedict is beyond good! However I heard this place closed down?! Hoping it’s not true!

Chun Chan

The spicy chicken dish was absolutely delicious, large amount of fries with an arugala salad all on the same plate. The spicy tuna tartare was phenomenal. Stay away from the potato gnocchi if you're looking for a dumpling mouth feel, they're like mashed potato pellets.

Simon May

Lovely little French restaurant in the Greenwich area of NYC. Beautiful food reasonably priced for New York. Added bonus of bring your own alcohol. Off license a few blocks away. Don't miss out when your visit NYC.

Max Gilchrist

Warm, wall to wall patrons, extremely attentive staff. Chris and I both had the Corned Beef Hash and enjoyed the meal and the busy pace of the restaurant. Don't miss it.

Tone Honey

Love this small charm with BYOB. Great service and the food are fantastic nice creations. Had a early dinner there for four of us and was packed and people waiting after about 7 ish.

Neil Walsh

I had my second Saturday brunch here. I am a local so I avoid this place when it's packed. Excellent value for the price. Very casual. Service was good. Food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Corned Beef Hash. The Gnocchi dinner special are really to die for.

John Winter

Not as good as I was expecting. I went in expecting delicious French food and it was unimpressive, rather bland food. It doesn't live up to the hype.

Karen Sloan

Decent food, veggie-friendly, good value

Mike Boan

Excellent unpretentious byob French restaurant, great for a group if you're willing to wait for a table

Sheniece S

The service was good, and the staff was helpful. However the food was not great. The bouchee a la reine was salty and hard, and the wild salmon was flavorless.

Misha Samofalov

Very tasty brunch at a reasonable price. This spot is extremely cute with nice and friendly staff.

Charlie Dardis

French onion soup is delicious - all the rest of the food is also really good. Nice cozy atmosphere. Make sure your whole party arrives at once or else you won't be able to sit or stand inside & don't forget cash.

Jakub K

Delicious eggs Benedict and creme brulee! Highly recommended!

Brody Taylor

BYOB, amazing staff, and the most delicious freshest food!

Alex Miroshnichenko

Amazing food!!!! I was hesitant going here, but worth it!!!! 5 starts!!

Andrew Shiah

This a cool spot in the west village. It can get pretty cramped inside since there is not a lot of space, but they do a good job of managing the table placement for the most part. Food was good, but the bread they bring out first might be the best part. Also, it’s a BYOB which I loved! No corking fee either as they just bring you a wine opener. Overall a very satisfying and fun meal.

Roman Gancberg

The staff is the best of this venue. The friendliest !

Jenn L

Food and portions were incredible. Of course, BYOB makes it all more fun for food pairing. (Service could be a bit better!)

Mario Diaz

LOVED THIS FRENCH BISTRO! Great prices and great atmosphere. I will be back my next trip to NYC. Cash only but they have a ATM. Food was delicious.

Gauthier Hénon

Terrible experience! I waited for 20 minutes to get a seat, then 45 minutes to get a meal that was basically 50g of salmon on a 10cm pancake. I was still hungry afterwards. This is the worst brunch experience I’ve had in the city.

Myah Shein

Cute place, open late. The food was good but not great, especially with so many good french spots. Prices are reasonable and I've heard the brunch is excellent. I would go back if I were in the area, but would not make a special trip.

John

Fantastic BYOB with no corking fee. The food is solid French cuisine in this quant WV establishment. It is small though, so expect a wait. Definitely worth it though. Friendly service, great food, and save on the alcohol by bringing your own. Love it!

Will Patton

Fresh, well prepared food, very friendly staff who let us linger beyond closing to catch up with an old friend. Our new favorite in the West Village.

Corrado

Great brunch. Nice french american vibe and menu. Great area for stopping after a walk or for locals

IGNITE THE SPARK WITHIN

We found this little gem and sat outside under the awning on a drizzly day in May - absolutely magical and our new favorite spot in the Village. Absolutely awesome service, exceptional vegetarian options and we always appreciate a BYOB so this was sheer perfection for us. Looking forward to the next visit and can not recommend highly enough! ***Of note - this is a cash only establishment!***

Ariana Katsanis

Good chicken sandwich, bad coffee, nice service, cash only

Agatha Isabel

Favorite lil spot in the neighborhood. It's cash only though, but it's also BYOB and totally worth stopping by. Everything is fresh, and has healthy options too. When the weather is nice, grab a spot outside and have a great time people watching while drinking your favorite wine you brought.

B W

Magical to watch the world go by on W 4th St. Very romantic place with pleasant staff & great food. Brunch is crowded and a little nutty, the best times are during midweek.

Pieter Sommen

Very nice menu, great food. Very friendly service, not smothering. Charming restaurant. No liquor license.

Leo Pablo

Good on the budget brunch. But they should sell mimosas

Travis S

For someone who doesn't like breakfast foods, the eggs benedict is veryyyy good, a bit cozy and cramped but has that awesome hole in the wall feel to it. Cute decoration and atmosphere as well. Has outdoor and inside seating. And the inside didn't feel hot for a summer day. Wanted to try the desserts but had no room. Food tastes fresh and delicious!!! Will definitely be going back

Jordan Adams

Very good food, definitely need to plan ahead as the wait can be a bit long.

byulaa yoo

3.5 for long wait and tiny space. Prefer to take delicious almond croissant to go

vladimir karabin

Nice place, a little tiny but cozy and friendly. Everything we had was delicious.

DA SA

Great food. amazing service. you always a lot of people dining here

Mohammad Khasawneh

Tiny place where tables are too small and too close, but all of that is forgotten when food gets to your table. I ordered the Eggs Norvegienne, which comes with tomatoes (some kind of salad) and potatoes on the side. The eggs were perfectly poached, not a single bit of the yolk was set. The smoked salmon was subtle and not at all fishy. The hollandaise was rich with a clear butter flavor and a nice sourness that balances it. This is a great place for brunch, tucked away in a mostly residential neighborhood.

Hussain Rizvi

French Pepper crusted steak is yum.......

Lesley Cordero

Great brunch food, but overcrowded. The place is too small to be a proper brunch place

Emma Nally

This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. The food is always delicious and I also love the BYOB option. I always bring my out of town guests here and they also love it. Would highly recommend. FYI it is busy so be prepared to wait for a table at peak times.

Patrina Huff

Trendy. Good eats and good for people watching.

Zhenya Kampanets

BYOB, amazing and friendly staff, comfort french food

Dawn L. Troupe

Nice place in the village. Small plates that were tasty. I need to go back to taste more. I had a fantastic salad. Great place to spot celebrities too.

Andrea Barrett

Just finished my first food delivery from Tartine and it turned out to be the very best restaurant delivery I've had in my many years in NYC. For an early brunch I ordered "Home baked brioche, smoked bacon and pure maple soup." What I got was four large pieces of thick, delicious French toast and slices of crispy bacon on top of tasty roasted potatoes, and what may be a tomato compote (I'm not sure but it was really good). Delivery was early. Portion size was huge. Food arrived hot. I'm going to be a regular customer.

Noah Rosenfeld

Great little french restaurant. Food was very good, though not mind-blowing. Traditional french fare makes up most of the menu and the space feels similar to a Parisian bistro down to the outdoor seating.

Sergey Kovalev

Nice tiny French place with cash only and BYOB. Sometimes get very noisy and crowded, but the food worth to try plus you can bring your own wine with no cork fee. Overall very memorable and authentic experience we had there, highly recommended to visit

jonathan pierre-louis

Food was tasted good and was prepared quickly!

antimon90

No wi-fi :(. Only cash!

Steven Dakh

This place is a gem. It’s a very small restaurant and you’ll probably have to squeeze in if you can even get a spot. This place gets pretty busy. But the food is worth all of the wait and uncomfortableness.

Michael St. Germain

Quick, easy menu.

Jesse R

Lovely cafe with cute views from inside and from outside seating. Croque monsieur for brunch was fantastic as well as the warm salad along side it. Decent pricing and good service. Lots of options on the menu - will be back for their baked eggs lunch special!

Veesha S.

Had brunch here on a whim as the name fondly reminded me of the SF Tartine (no connection) and was blown away by the food flavours. Delicious, quiet, tucked away into a great neighborhood for people watching. Definitely a gem.

Shota Adamia

It is a beautiful spot with delicious food, BYOB policy, and great outdoor seating.

Bentley Weisel

My favorite neighborhood dinner spot. Tiny yet quaint, cash only, BYOB French bistro. They don't take names or numbers, you just wait outside until they have space for you but it's worth it. Amazing French onion soup and escargot with very affordable entrees. Love going here as much as I can.

carter kingsley

best french toast in town

Allisonconnor Connor

great service i had that experience 2 weeks ago

Cristian Radu

Small place but "opposite" food experience!

Afzal Imram

A quaint little bistro tucked in a corner but with a lovely atmosphere in the evening. Was there for dinner. There was a man playing the cello across the street. The food is good reasonably authentic french bistro fare. The complimentary baguette wasn't great though, on any level, which is a pity. The mussels weren't the best either.

Tad Beavers

Its a tight space and that can be an issue depending on the night, but the food is absolutely terrific.

Gerardo Santiago

Excellent Brunch and quick service! A bit tight but it's worth it.

Tamyra Reilly

So delicious! Friendly staff and quick. I've been in New York visiting family and this is definitely the best breakfast spot I've had so far.

Yutthapong Wichitpanyarak

Had a nice brunch at Tartine, the restuarant is very very small but feel Homely. I really love the egg benedict, the french is also okay. And I was impressed by fried potatoes which is perfectly cooked. Will be back for sure

Carla Howa

Fun atmosphere, tiny, goodfood

Corrie Davidson

Tightly packed tables inside and sidewalk seating outside, this place may feel a bit dingy, but the food is high quality and fantastic. $18 prix fixe brunch, 10-4pm has a wide range of options (the corned beef hash is incredible and the Tunisian Breakfast is a flavorful take on a bruschetta/Benedict) and includes coffee and orange juice. This place is CASH ONLY and BYOB so bring champagne or wine or even vodka to liven up your beverages.

Aj

Fresh orange, coffee & tasty Vroque Monsieur for $18 - bargain in the West Village

Stephen Nichols

as always for 25 years hands down eggs benny #1

Claudia Santos

Amazing restaurant. I go there at least once a month. My fiancé and I love to bring our guests from out of town here- it’s really a great place! Josephine is a sweet lady and always takes care of us. Everything is delicious there just make sure to ask the waiter for less butter as meals are rich already.

EJ Lee

Went there after work during hot summer day (wed). My friend was on her way but the waiter wouldn't let me in. The restaurant was not even half full. It was hot and I was so tired with my heels, I asked the waiter I will order a cocktail for myself while waiting for 5 minutes, and still got rejected, saying if its 5 minutes I should have no problem waiting? There is absolutely no flexibility here even there is no customer. The owner should be flagged asap. So bad I am never going to that place again.

Dmitriy Nikitin

The food was pretty good albeit pricey. What needs improvement is the service. A simple request for a water took 10+ minutes.

Aaron Small

Went there for lunch and had the steak. It was very average. The service was good and staff was very nice.
