This Restaurant is included in the category of Asian fusion restaurant.
This restaurant is awesome. Everyone there is very friendly and food is also very delicious. Loved it:)
Best food ever, especially lollipop sticks.
Service and environment are excellent. We tried Chicken lollipop,Mango lassi, fried rice, manchurian chicken and sizzling chicken.Food was ok.
Food and service both horrible
Well decorated and food is delicious
Love it Great food
Disappointment. We had long been coming to this joint for years for a delicious taste of indo-chinese flavor. However during our last visit in Dec end of 2018 it was a total disappoint. We found both the food and the service quality to have dropped significantly. The soup remained delicious but the chicken lollipops were bitter deep fried to the point it was almost non-edible. Same for the chicken main dishes we ordered - chicken hot garlic and they replaced with chilly chicken when we complained. But it was no better. it was the same fried dollops of chicken and there was no flavor of the particular dish (hot garlic or chilly chicken) at all. The acting manager when complained was nonchalant and indifferent. Sorry but you just lost a fan and i think this place has started its decline unless management takes corrective action
Good. Fusion indochinese
Excellent food & service...slightly indo Chinese taste too...
Service could be better. What I saw there was only one server and one guy was helping her. It was really hard for her to serve 20+ people. Food was overall good. We ordered chicken lollipops and sizzling beef and mix fried rice and some other food all of items were delicious. I would recommend to go there. If you can wait and wanna try some good Indian food. Check this place out. This place is huge and biggest Indian restaurant in this neighborhood.
I only liked the lollipop chicken and spicy tangra masala fried rice. The soup is so bad there. It was just waste of money.
You call this a restaurant?? You can’t even think of a way to eat your food kids running literally every where. Food was just awful. Too much salt in everything especially my soup.
Good place for group eating especially birthday celebrations. Food is 'ok'. 'Ok' because the taste varies depending on how busy or slow day is.
Worst food , gud staff ... wud never go back never had so pathetic Indian chineese food in my life ... wud never eat for free too
Called in here during a walk around the old town. Large beer was 1.5 lev and quite decent. Nice place to take a break in a fairly quiet part of the town. Several customers were dining but we only had drinks
Awesome Asian Cuisine . During work love their Lunch special
My favorite place for indo-chinese in NYC - jersey city area. Love the sizzling plates. Sizzling paneer and veggies in tangra masala is perfect! Also like their chinese chop suey.. friendly staff and good service. Also a really big place so usually no wait. Overall would highly recommend checking it out.
This was a really nice place. The food was good, although the portions were kind of small.
This is, and has been, my favorite restaurant since I came to New York 12 years ago. Their American Chopsuey is my favorite dish, nothing compares to the intricate flavors. The atmosphere is very welcoming as well, beautifully sunlight and calming.
The food is ok. The tiger prawn is great!
No one in the establishment and the food was nothing special.
Good food
The food was not good at all. The sizzling beef was a complete let down. It was full of corn flour and no taste. Definitely never going back.
Even tho they say it’s halal be aware because if you r a true Muslim you shouldn’t eat there because there can be any type of contamination with any type of alcohol even if there is no contamination is not good to eat at a place where they serve alcohol
I love the food here especially the fried rice very yummy
Food is not as good as it was before. Prices are very high. I recommend Tipan fusion halal restaurant in fresh meadow queens. Over there us a better food and prices are great.
One of the best restaurants in Queens! It's a giant crazy looking space but the food is all very very good.
Nice place
Good is pretty good. Store is clean and employees are respectful.
Nice environment and delicious food
This place is good,,food is great. They have a party hall in basement ..
Terrible customer services food was cold and soft extremely unsatisfied
My fav place for chinese food. Its soo fresh and yummy, the only Chinese restaurant i like in New York
Nice place, good food and excellent service.
Lovee thr food buttt only on weekend whn they r super busy. For some reason if you go during tge day or in weekdays thr food sucks
Good n service good but price was a little too high n they charged 2 dollars for a can of Pepsi!!!!
Good and tasty food i had since long time back in New York City. Customers service is also good and they are very familiar.
Tasty food
Best Indo Chinese Restaurant in NYC... Amazing staff always make you feel special... Tangra Chicken Lollipop is to die for....Must Go Spot !!
Tangra used to have delicious lollipop chicken. Lastly the taste is not the same anymore. Foods are little bit saltier. Maybe their chef change.
Overpriced food, it took 25 minutes for the food to come, no water was given at all, customer service was absurd.
I always enjoyed eating at this restaurant. I thought the food was fresh and well prepared. I have tried so many Asian fusion places and this one is one of the better restaurants.
If food taste is all you care about then five stars. That's all I care about.
Food was good and service was fast. The food used to taste good but this time food was okay.
Terrible Service. They served us raw chicken lollipop it was undercooked. They had the AC on instead of heat we were freezing there. Never going back o such a unwelcoming place
I love this restaurant, great food and originality.
It is a must. I had my son's birthday party here and it was a very satisfying experience. A guy name Raja made it very easy for me to organize everything and then the whole staff was very helpful.
Delicious food. Nice sitting place. Great staff. Birthdays special. Overall a very nice experience.
Family and friends are the best
Have had halal Chinese in a couple of places. Unfortunately, didn't like the food here. Service was okay .
Good HALAL infusion cuisin ,We've been there several times, the worst thing that we tried 2 times was mix fried rice the meat inside was not fresh, it was more like leftovers and it was smelly . Other things were delicious , wait staff can be more friendly and professional. If you ask the entrees without gravy you would notice that the real portions are very small for the price.
Worst stakes and chicken pakora worst food .
So big and spacious. Comfortable seating. Friendly efficient staff. Delicious foods. Family friendly environment. Remember to ask for a knife if you eat with one.
I ordered my food like i do every week from the place. My location is 10 mins away. I placed this order at 7.47pm and i am writing this at 10.11pm. My food is still not here. Seamless has maybe messed up. And at this point i have no expectation of food. However, i called the restaurant more than 5 times to follow up and sort this thing out. I was also fine with paying for a fresh order however the restaurant flatly refused to provide me with food as i am outside their food delivery radius and they told me to reach out to seamless/grubhub and figure out the food as it has left the location. I called both seamless and the restaurant and nobody know where the food is. MAYBE THEY SAT DOWN TOGETHER AND ATE MY DINNER WHILE I STARVE. Bottom line is there is no food after waiting for more than 2 hours and the restaurant does not have the courtesy to understand that they can go an extra mile to handle delivery better or maybe chose their vendors more carefully and follow up on delivery. I eat out for more than 15 meals in a week and if a restaurant cannot step in to make sure their food is delivered. THEY MUST NOT BE IN BUSINESS COZ THEIR BUSINESS IS SERVING FOOD AND THEY ARE NOT DOING A GOOD JOB AT THAT!!!
Good Chinese/Indian Fusion food. Lollypop Chicken and Dry Beef with Chilli is a must if into spicy foods.
Food was great nothing over the top and their lollipop chicken is an absolute must have anytime you happen to be in the area. However the service was sub-par even though it wasn't even busy that night.
Amazing food and great service!
The place is great. Do try lollypop, its tasty
Terrible just terrible got my food 45 min later just sipping on water the whole time. When the food came it was cold and raw chicken
good environment but the food was average.
Best spicy Indo-Chinese joint
Good food if you want eat fusion Chinese food. Nice staff and it’s also has a banquet hall in the basement
Overpriced and food quality has gone down over the years. Service is very slow even when the restaurant isn't busy.
Been eating here since they opened. The foods good and worth trying. Their service is always a thumbs up.
This place is good! Affordable rates, big portions and the employees are consistently friendly.
Worst food I ever had
It's a restaurant which serves food with fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisine. The items are not at all spicy and they serve most of the foods with Chinese sauces. Is very spacious and the ambiance is good. The service is also not bad.
Great food...great ambience...
By the worst customer service and food was just awful raw food I travel for food but this is beyond disgusting I never had the worst experience ever.
Lollipop chicken is number one, tangra fish is also good.
Looks like the restaurant has changed management. The food is definitely not the same. Tasteless in comparison to how it use to be. I feel like I just wasted my money. Also the portions are very small. Certainly not worth the money. The only thing I enjoyed was the soup, which had some flavor.
Worst service i have ever got at tangra.it was so cold and the heat was off . appetizers came two different times.drinks were not served until i asked for the third time. i order 3 items for entree.fried rice and noodles were served but with out the curry which is sizzling tiger prawn i ordered i was waiting for almost 20 minutes and my other 2 entree became cold it is common sense entree should come all together how can i eat the fried rice without the curry.they should have more servers to provide the great customer service...
Came here for niece's birthday. Big and beautiful place. Amazing staff. They presented the birthday cake with their awesome lit candles. Food is similar to Sagar but has Tangra's own unique flavor to it. Love everything about this place!
Decent food.
The food was really good and a great mix of Indian and Chinese flavors and spices. If you like hot and sour soup you must try their spin on the classic soup
The food is pretty good here, quick service and reasonably priced
Best and clean food with fast service
A simple way to put it? The most disrespectful people I have ever met.
Amazing! Very good mixture of Indian and Chinese while still being its own thing! Sizzling beef sure sizzled and the popcorn chicken made me go “Popeyes who??” Also worth a trip for the extravagant decor alone - try to find every porcelain statue ;)
Great place
Great food and service. The appetizers are a must-try. The Thai chicken soup too! Everything is freshly served. The interior is beautiful. It's perfect for big get-togethers/parties.
Not so good I don't recommend
The eggplant was out of this world. I love the spiciness of the food. The waitstaff and owner were professional and prompt. I really felt like I was family, even though I've only been there once. It's that kind of a place.
Great Food. Spicy Indian food !!
Order the Dry potatoes! Fun restaurant. Enjoy the decor. Easy access from the 7 train. Order the dry potatoes!
Food is good and service as well. I would recommend. Parking can be challenging sometimes.
In my opinion, Tangra is the best Halal Chinese Restaurant in New York City and the place to eat. Costumer service, food, and environment are the best. Everyone should visit at least one time in a life. Prices are fare too. Partyhall is better than the dining hall. RECOMMENDED RECOMMENDED RECOMMENDED
This place had mediocre food! Went in with great expectations but every item that we ordered ended up tasting like batter. Indo-chinese food is supposed to be so good, but this was a disappointment. Not going back.
The best fusion food ever!!! No other restaurant can touch this!!! Lol
authentic indian chinese (calcutta chinese quisine) food. Excellent ambience and seating for a get-together. Food is pretty good. Good service.
Good food, due to high demand service is a bit slow.
Good food with limited options
Nice for big family...food is not bad ...service is good..clean they open pretty late which is good
Great ambiance.... They have one of the best chicken lolipops ( drums of heaven)
Awesome service
Amazing food, outstanding service, and good atmosphere. Everytime I have the opportunity to go here, I would. I love the lolipop chicken too.
The interior and atmosphere there is great. The service and staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered the chicken lollipop first and then shrimp fried rice, chicken fried rice, chicken with ginger sauce, sweet and sour chicken and sizzling beef. The sizzling beef takes it all will shrimp fried rice. Overall the food was great so would definitely recommend it to all. Not too spicy even tho they claim that Tangra sauce is spicy. The whole experience was nice so 5 stars for that!!
The best Desi Asian fusion. I have been going there for 12 years now. Every time i go taste or texture of the food never changes. Service needs to little update but i love the food. Specially lollypop chicken which is they are famous for, chili chicken gravy and veg fried rice.
Nice indian and fuaion food.lot of options. Good staff and reasonably priced
Spacious sit down, service is good. Food isn't as good as it used to be.
It's good to family gather
I've been coming to this place over 10 years... as always perfect food & excellent service!!! I always recommend them to friends & family. I have hosted lot of dinners here and all my guests always love it.
They have really good food. Ambience is best and food is great. Great service. Theirs sizzling fish is always awesome. One of the best indo chinese restaurants in nyc
Good place with mouth watering food.
OG LOLLYPOP CHICKEN THIS IS ORIGINAL
Amazing food. Lollipop chicken was out of this world. It’s on Queens Blvd so parking is tough, but otherwise great food.
Employee very friendly. Food . 0.5 out of 10 really untasteful food. I been going to tangra for long time food was really bad on my recent visit November 2018. Famous lollypop chicken is not same as befoer they made it big but not tastey.
inside decor feels very outdated. prime location. not expensive. Good indian food.
I have tried this place a couple times and I recently went again after a long time because I love their Chicken Manchurian. I was kind of disappointed. The food quality has gone down and the service here is always bad. Waiters are inattentive and you will get more than one waiter serving you. The service is super SLOW even when it's not busy, which is really annoying. I would not recommend this place if you are going on a date because it is not romantic at all. It's mostly families that come with their kids and I think this place is better off for take out. On a positive note: 1. Even though the food quality has gone down and I've been to better indo-Chinese restaurants, the food is NOT BAD. 2. The decor is really nice inside and it's pretty clean. 3. Family friendly environment.
Food is good
I don’t recommend this place at all. The waiters always use there phones and don’t come to you. You have to go to them. In addition they take 18% tip without asking for our permission. I didn’t think the food was that great either.
Always good.. excellent for large parties.
Never going back again served us cold food literally gave us cold soup this is winter they have AC on instead of Heat we were freezing
Staff is very friendly. You just have to know what you are getting to eat and it will taste good. Must try their Shrimp ball for appetizer
Food wasn't anything special, plus its overpriced & understaffed. Decor is nice for queens.( flashy) in case you wanna impress Mom for her B-day. Go to the one on Grand Avenue for better tasting food
Pleased with their service but foods were definitely not good. They were tasteless, at least to me. Nice environment coupled with good service makes it a give-it-a-shot restaurant but foods could have been better. Give it try as everyone's taste buds are different.
Clean, good customer service and food is tasty :d
Terrible service never going back again.
