For such high prices I expect better service. They’re always getting my order wrong. And the floors are Greasy, I almost fall every time I’m there. I like the food but I doubt I’ll be headed back. And before the owner blames the employees let me just say that the boss should be around more often.

Very disappointed in customer service... went in for the first time & wanted to check the spot out ... visiting from Florida... waited a good 10 minuets & no one came out to greet me or take my order... I understand sometimes u can miss a door sound so I decided to call the number & when the attendant heard the phone came with a bad disposition; asking is that u !? I said “ yes... did u know I was here?” & she replied with an attitude “ well I’m in the back working w 2 stores so!” At this point I don’t want her taking care of me since she is already mad ... which I don’t understand why... so I said “u know that’s ok “ & she said “fine!” & so obviously it was my que to leave... really can’t believe the attitude & treatment I received... this doesn’t make me want to come back & try the food honestly

I haven't been in a long time, but it's just as good as the last time. I tried a black bean burger with spinach, mushrooms, grilled onions, jalapenos, ( they are fresh), cucumbers and swiss.. on whole grain bun. TRY IT....

So visiting NYC, I went to both Shake Shack and Smashburger to compare. The Shack burger beat the Smash, hands-down. Smashburger was good, but not as juicy or tasty as the Shack burger. The Smash garlic fries, though, were much better than the cheese bacon fries at the Shack. And Smash's shake was terrific. Both were good, but this west-coast guy would still take an In-n-out double-double over either place!

Delious, clean, & quick! If you looking for a good homemade sort if burger and turkey burger possibly for an option then this is the place!! I love their turkey burger with sweet potato fries and if you really healthy you can get well seasoned Brussels sprouts as a side! The prices are high but it's well worth it if you looking to build a burger you are in a mood to eat!

The first time I experienced smashburger, I had no idea what smashfries are. My opinion of French fries are forever changed. Glorious potato slices, lovingly tossed in olive oil, and delightfully seasoned with garlic and rosemary. ITS DELICIOUS. Its like having disney land in your mouth.... its magical.

These are very good hamburgers. We really enjoyed it. There are a few choices for the type of burger or chicken sandwich you'd like snd then you can choose your toppings. Sweet potato fries are a yummy option as well. Singles or doubles are available and I highly recommend the double if you are a big eater. I don't know the size of the patty but it isn't the largest I've ever had. Service was fast. Items are a la carte, so it seems a little pricey. I could pay the same elsewhere and get more. However, if you want a tasty burger, I'd highly recommend it.

If you like homemade hamburgers with every option, you'll love this place. I eat gluten free as a choice and they can accommodate that, or someone who has an allegy. This place has so many options, and not just ground beef for the main part. We read several bad reviews before trying this place and can say that we didn't find an of the issues from those reviews.

My first time and last in this place. We came around 6:30pm on Thursday May 9th. Place had a few tables busy and was half empty. After placing an order we waited for more than 15 minutes to get our single burger and 2 fries. Employee brought the burger with 1 portion of fries. He informed us the other fries are on its way. After about 15 minutes I went to talk to the supervisor to look for a mysterious fate of my fries. After short conversation with her I understood that my fate is the same, I was lost. Bottom line, how complicated can it be to bring 2 fries and burger in a non busy place. Probably I expect too much. Big NO!

Probably the one of the top 3 burger joints in the city. I can now say that it is my #1 spot for a good burger. The meat tasted fresh and whole. I substituted a multi grain bun and had sweet potato fries. Absolutely loved my meal. I'll be telling others about this place.

I usually like visiting my neighborhood Smash Burger but this midtown location has disappointed me. I had a dine in order and received my food quickly. However, my malted shake did not accompany my meal. It actually took over 10 minutes later for me to receive my shake after consuming my meal. The manager did right her wrong and actually made over my shake which I refused. Additionally, she gave me a refund and a $5 reward coupon. Instead of the shake I was given a bottle of water. So for that reason I will change my 2-star rating to a 3-star.

I had the bacon smashburger with smash fries. The burger was very tasty, much along the lines of Five Guys or Steak and Shake. I honestly thought this burger had a better taste. The fries were tossed in rosemary and olive oil. Very tasty and shoestring style. They were cooked to the right crisp. Golden brown.

The line was short but it took 20 minutes to and I still did not have my food. First they said they did not have my fries, then when my fries were done, they needed to make my shake. After 5 minutes of them trying to make my shake. I had to get a refund. The only I'm sorry was a sarcastic one by the manager. And last, she would not give me a copy of my credit. She said it would appear on my statement. The reason I need the re eipt is incase it does not come on my statement. There are 1,000 places to eat on NYC, this will not be one of them for me

Smashburger TRIES to be a mid to high end burger restaurant but their service and food is not quite up to snuff. Their service was not great at all. When I went with a friend, on a Tuesday, no one was at the register and when someone did show up, they spent at least a good 5 minutes talking to another employee. Once we received order I asked the waitress for some mayo and she never came back with it. Instead she was engaged in conversation with another employee. It seems like the employees are more concerned with each and not the customers. In my opinion, not good if you're looking to represent a growing franchise. The food was a okay but not much better than going to Wendy's. There are better burger places, like Paul's, in the city for less than what you pay for at Smashburger.

Reminds me very much of Shake Shack in NYC. Your typical fast casual burgers and shakes restaurant. I say "typical" but that doesn't mean it's average. It was very good!! I got the BBQ Bacon burger. Burger was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh, onion straws really added to it. I would get it again. We got the coffee shake, blended with high quality coffee, and it was amazing!! All in all I would definitely stop here again. I reserve 5 stars for the best restaurants I've ever had, so that is the only thing holding me back from 5 stars.

This location could use some Improvement. Right away the cashier had attitude to spare. Also the tables were really dirty. I'm used to the Smash Burgers in New Jersey, which are super friendly and very clean. The turkey burger was okay, but the fries were terrible. You get much better fries at Wendy's or McDonalds or Shake Shack. It seemed like they were fried twice, they were so stiff and greasy. I should have returned them, but you never know if you're going to get a better batch or not. Other staff members were at least helpful, and one of them brought me a new bottle of ketchup. I can confirm that they use Heinz ketchup, because I even had to take the seal off. This was okay since I had a coupon, but for the price they're normally charging, they really should do better than this.

I will say the burger is good. The chiptole mayo gives it an extra kick thats for sure. The oreo shake is alright-- nothing really special about it. Especially, for the both the sizes were very small. :( So, I was very disappointed.

Delicious food. The burgers were a good size not too big like other places. I had the TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SWISS burger and it was awesome with sweet potato fries. Also, had a cobb salad that I shared with my daughter. Only issue I do not eat blue cheese so my daughter asked that it be substituted for cheddar cheese to which they were going to charge an extra 70 cents. That doesn't make sense to charge extra for substituting cheese that I naturally have an aversion to. Ladies who brought our food and cleaned up afterwards were super sweet. I definitely recommend it and it is even better when your kid pays for the meal, so bring your kids and have them pay since they have good jobs.

Decent sandwiches, sides and salads but pricey. When this spot first arrived at 33rd Street, the lines were consistently long. They offered tasty burgers/chicken sandwiches with free sides (when you completed your survey). Every other week, my co-workers would come around to ask for or share their survey codes. After a while, Smashburger increased their prices and stopped the free offer and I noticed the lines were not quite as long. They brought back the survey freebie but the prices had increased so much that my co-workers and I had to really think about having it for lunch. We haven't gone back as much.

Smashburger never disappoints! While I am not a big burger restaurant person (I much prefer non-chain restaurants on occasion, burgers at home, or something else entirely), Smashburger is an exception. Not only is the whole process behind the burger pretty cool, but the burgers are just delicious! They have a wide variety of burgers to chose from and the type of meat is flexible at request. This is a great lunchtime destination. As a matter of fact, I eat here for lunch every time I happen to be in the area. This is, without a doubt, one of the best burger chains I know of. Give it a try some time!

The Burger's themselves are great. The menu has combos, so prices end up reasonable. Take care in chosing a small vs a large burger, based on how hungry you are, to avoid surprises. The classic Smash is worth checking out, especially if you have never been to Smash Burger before.

Great burgers fries and amazing milkshakes. They have a couple different fries they have regular and fries made with rosemary and olive oil. They also have turkey burgers chicken sandwiches. They have many different types of burgers.

This was my first Smashburger experience, and I was impressed! The place was very clean, the employees were friendly and helpful with explaining the menu options and the food was fresh and delicious! I am on a very low carb diet, so I always have to ask questions and make adjustments when I order. The employee was patient with me. I ordered the avocado bacon club burger, without the bun or ranch. It was perfect! I also tried the flash fried brussel sprouts. They were so delicious! I admit that I ate almost the whole order, minus the ranch. I don't do ranch, ever. They didn't need sauce though. There was a light seasoning on them.

Very disappointed! Me and my husband eat here once a week... and we have never had an issue. Looks like completely new people i guess someone forgot to tell them to smile... sorry but if im paying this much for a burger i expect good customer service with it or I’ll just stay at home and eat. The food is good & service is good. The only problem I have with this location is all customers should be made aware of discounts & specials. For instance, I bought dinner at this location one afternoon & the cashier nor the young man bagging the food mentioned that there was a royalty program. But, when next customer placed his order, he was provided a plethora of information about royalty program. Let's do better Smashburger.

I love these Burgers but I always ask for them without butter on the bun. Don't quite understand the butter on the bun thing, because it makes the burger extremely greasy to hold. But the food choices are amazing and the salads are great. There's definitely things for people who are carb conscious.

Where do I start? You walk in and it smells like a bathroom. The food was awful and overpriced. A fast food burger would probably taste better for a fraction of the price. Don’t waste your time or money here. Probably the nastiest burger I’ve ever eaten. I wish I could give it a zero rating.

I read somewhere that u get peanuts while you wait. We didn't get peanuts, nor did anyone else. Their burgers were good and the fries nice and hot. The rest room was a mess and needed soap in the dispenser. Tissues on the floor. Very disgusting. Sad!

Food was spectacular, service was friendly, and environment was nice. We ordered quickly and sat down, however we waited 5-10 minutes for our food, which isn't bad necessarily, but it is something to keep in mind. A few of the tables were still dirty, limiting selection, but not by much. I definately recommend this restaurant

Fast and easy ordering, delicious food! Big fan of the milk shakes even though they can be a meal in of itself! The staff was friendly, took my order accurately, and provided am two sides of sauce without an extra charge. Great location, can be busy during the lunch rush but service is relatively quick and accurate.

Horrible service. Placing my order, the young lady DID NOT listen and placed the WRONG order. She messed up my daughter order then automatically assumed i wanted beef instead of chicken on mt bbq, bacon cheddar sandwich. In a rush, i let it slide. The tables were a mess, my fries were cold and the food didn’t taste good. Nothing compared to the location in gateway mall.

I ate the Cobb Salads with chicken and the chipotle dressing. While they are not known for their salads, there was a good mix of greens and all of the ingredients were fresh and delicious Asked for the chicken cubed and the staff made sure to make it happen! Of course the burger and smash fries will also hit the spot!

Wonderful experience!! I ate here with my two kids this evening for kids eat free Wednesday. As we were ordering my 7 year old daughter dropped her favorite bracelet between the cooler and counter in a very small space . The cashier immediately stated don’t worry we can get it . She tried several times to reach in between ringing up other customers. We sat down at table and within minutes the assistant manager Greg brings us our food which is all perfect . Greg then begins to try to retrieve my child’s bracelet which he is finally able to get and hands it to my beaming daughter . Wonderful, friendly staff and a great place !!!!! I will definitely eat here more often !!!!!!

Beef patties were thin, dry, and tasteless. Buns were also dry and subpar. Brussel sprouts side with blue cheese dip were good although extremely oily. I got coupons in the mail for BOGO free entree, free side dish, $4 entree (usually $8-9), and one other.

Staff service disgusting!... dropped my card by the fridge and was told to cancel it by the manager..when there was no attempt to retrieve it!...in the end they retrieved it after a long deliberation and us waiting whilst they carried on there job like we weren't there...to top it all off they then asked us if we still wanted to eat there...AVOID at all costs!

The servers smashed the record for wasting time all right. Getting smash sauce took 15 mins and multiple queries. This was with me standing right in front and the server walking right past me multiple times.

Some of the best burgers around. The chili burger is my fav. by far. Prices for a family of 6 can be high but if you sign up for the SmashRewards program you can earn free burgers and coupons quickly. Plus, they have beer available, which, for a fast food style eatery is a huge bonus! ;)

Smashburger offers great coupon deals, but be aware...the tea urn goes away at closing! Smashburger, could you please give a "last call for tea!" before taking it away! I understand it has to be emptied, but I don't expect my beverage to disappear before I can refill. Please give a warning! UPDATE: I posted similarly on Smashburger's feedback and was contacted by an operating partner. All have been instructed to leave urn out until all customers have gone.

It was the 12th Anniversary celebration, so we purchased one double Truffle Burger and received a double Baja Burger for just $0.12! GREAT DEAL HUH?! After the longer than usual wait (although it was my first time at this location) the side of brussel sprouts was great. The burgers we're good although the Baja Burger had way too many onions...If I happen to be in the area again and in the mood for a burger, I might just give this place another try.

Always good to go to Smashburger. Food is always good here. I had the spicy jalopena burger and it was very good. Very creative. We also had the rosemary smash fries. They were great too. What's also nice about this place is you can order any style sandwhich in either beef, turkey, chicken or black bean.
