Delicious food and nice view
Our family of three got the chicken sandwich (add $1 for buffalo sauce), mini cheeseburgers, and an arugula salad, add shrimp ($14 for four pieces of shrimp - the shrimp was very dry). The waitress was really friendly and helpful, giving us her favorites on what was best (we asked), and 2 cokes. It was $74 plus tip. The food was good (minus the shrimp) and the fries were the crispy, skinny ones that I like. They had good air conditioning on a hot day.
Avocado BLT and Wagyu Bacon Cheddar Burger were delicious. Great view of the Hudson while dining. Within Brookfield Place for shopping.
Food quality really slipping here. Club Sandwich was disgusting.
Fun bar. Great time!
P.J. Clarke's breakfast and lunch menu are truley amazing! If anyone has an appetite for a delicious burger , chicken wings or chili cheese fries, please stop by and taste the best!.
Cool and historic 1800's spot that was once frequented by Sinatra and Jackie Kennedy. Decent beers on tap and great burgers. The happy hour specials are awesome. $1 clams and $2 oysters. You can't go wrong. The regular prices are a little on the expensive side but it is midtown so not abnormal. The bartender, Jerry is awesome and will take good care of you. Stop by and say hello!
This is a really good PJ Clark hamburger spot located in the Brookfield Mall, right by the water in battery Park city, with a beautiful view overlooking the water and scenic outdoor seating area. As usual, similar to the other locations, this PJ Clark’s serves amazing hamburgers and also has a big selection of other dishes like tuna tacos and salads. Overall, the ambiance is great, especially if you sit outside when the weather is nice. Service is good and you can make reservations on Opentable.
Delicious food enyoi
One of Manhattan's iconic restaurants. Simply the best hamburgers in a city filled with places where you can get great hamburgers. The history and ambiance are added benefits.

Went here for lunch on a rainy Friday afternoon. I got the classic burger with a fried egg on it and it was amazing! Their burgers are so great, my coworkers all enjoyed them. I would’ve loved to give them 5 stars but our waiter wasn’t as attentive and we had to ask other waiters for more water and check. But overall, it was great!
Nice to have a beer in a good place like this. Lots of place to sit down with your friends. Service is good and fast. The outside view is great. Had a happy time together.
Nice place and nice staff but expensive.
The quintessential local old-time Irish bar of Manhattan. An absolute MUST STOP and hope that Jerry is bartending! All the food on the menu is delicious! You won't be sad you stopped here! Come hungry and thirsty and ready to meet the nicest people of Manhattan!
Great place to get some burgers while looking at the beautiful river views outside. Awesome in the summer.
The pints and service in here were excellent. Liam was great and kept the pints flowing. The food was good too. Definitely would revisit
What a great surprise! Super nice service and food is pretty good! (Do not take the oyster which are meh) but the chicken wings are delicious, the burger is pretty legit! Would totally recommend that spot!
Food is so fresh and delicious. Beautiful views. Lots of great drinks. Loved it.
Service was perfect!!! The Raw menu is my favorite... the server Zack was polite and precise. Oh and that chocolate cake was to die for
I loved this little gem. Juxtaposed against the towering buildings that surround it, this little piece of history pokes itself out and lures you in. Enjoyed the happy hour Guiness and oysters. You can really feel the history of the place from the tarnished mirrors to the oddly placed lavvies.
Great Bourbon, Great Atmosphere, Great Food!
Love the atmosphere. Good drinks and staff. A bit pricey but not by NY standards. Great classic, vintage feel to the place.
Food was amazing Service was 1st rate A single of word if caution... If you are looking for a fun place, by all means go If its quiet and romantic you are in search of...
Staff were super friendly and professional, the moment we were to enter the place, the staff opened the door for us. This place also serves the best burgers! Place was modern and cozy. Thank you!
Great location and ambience. The service was top notch as well
Nice brunch spot, but the view is worse than the westside one.
A nice restaurant with a chill ambience. I enjoyed a delicious burger. The portions are good and they have great service.
The food was nice and I was grateful to get a table with ease at noon! I took off 1 star because it took 30 minutes to get my check, and this caused me to be 20 minutes late to return to work. Not ok. Ugh... I still tipped over 20% though. Please pay closer attention to lunch rush customers.
I came in for my 21st birthday thinking it was as nice place for food and a good photo spot on the water. We get there it's a 45 min wait for the outside tables which is fine because inside is just as nice. I ended up waiting 20 min to have my order taken and then another 45 min for the food to come after taking a seat. When the food finally came everything was flavourless and unseasoned, the simple cheese burger came out wrong and was sent back, the fish tacos were awful and soggy even adding hot sauce didn't help the flavourless situation and the chicken pot pie was burnt on the top and adding pepper didn't help, again, the flavorless situation. Even the "sea salted fries" came unsalted. when we asked where our food was after 35 min he thought we had just sat down and was about to take our orders again. There were no waiters to refill water throughout our night. The only good tasting part about dinner was the $9 beers Wasnt the best start to my night. Definitely do NOT suggest this place for a 21st birthday dinner.
Nice view. Fast waiters. Good food.
Solid pork belly burger. Comes with an egg and it's pretty filling for $10. The restaurant also has sriracha sauce, which goes great with the sandwich. Have to admit it does look bigger in the pictures.
My single favorite place in the country for a hamburger. Every time I'm in NYC I make my way here to enjoy a burger and fries, with a side of burnt brussel sprouts. It's a classic pub, great bar up front, dining room in back and the food …
the best fish and chips downtown
Nice environment, mature crowd, great service and affordable prices. Would definitely go back.
I just love this place. It is an excellent place for lunch after some shopping time in Brookfield Place.
A fun place to go in groups! The music is really loud around the bar, but they do have seatings a little inside that’s less noisy. This place is really busy in winters and summers (as they have an amazing view of the Battery park).Food is good! Though a little pricey, but it suits the Financial District.
Love this place the Bartender is the best!! Gerri make the best drinks!!
Good Food slightly on the dark side inside regarding the lighting pricey but nice environment
Coming from Missouri, the price of this burger was an eye opener... and yet I have zero regrets. This place is awesome.
Was just at the bar. Tater Tots and frozen Rose were great. Bartenders we nice but it get so busy it was hard for them to keep up.
Nice food and nice views
Although they have taken chili off the menu, PJ Clarke's has been one of my favorite places since 1959 and when my daughter asked where I wanted to go for Father's Day lunch that's where we went. Me, a cheeseburger with a slice of raw onion does the trick. When chili is on the menu, that too. Otherwise, that's it.
Classic NY feel with friendly staff and excellent service. Atmosphere is very good and comfortable
Excellent service, and more importantly, the food is super clean with well-maintained kitchen. Highly recommend.
A great historical pub dating from the 1800's. All brick building sitting by itself. Easy to find. Fresh oysters and clams that were very tasty. Good menu and beer selection as you would expect in an Irish pub . Service was prompt and efficient. We ordered and had our food very promptly but not so fast that it compromised quality and taste. Would definitely go back. A busy but excellent pub!!Enjoy!!
The view is excellent, especially if you sit outside. I had a burger after a long day of visiting tourist attractions and I was definitely not disappointed! The service was great!
Fantastic pub. Great service, good draft selection, great clientele :)
Great experience. They accommodated a large group very quickly. Service was great and the manager super friendly. Would def go back.
For those who have a few hours to spare for lunch or dinner, this place might be suitable as they do have pretty good food, my burger was very tasty. Service however, might be the worst I've experienced in all my years of reviewing on Google, no question. Therefore I urge you to look elsewhere for your dining pleasure in the area.
Had better in the area. Burgers are good but wouldnt try anything else on the food menu.
Our server was amazing! The Lobster Roll was really great. The atmosphere is dark and cozy.
I enjoy eating here.
Great food and service,nice atmosphere
Expensive. A beer and a burger is $30
Classic American oyster bar. Dry vodka martinis are superb and they prepare one of the best burgers in town. Busy spot at cocktail hour, near the UN and midtown offices, was portrait on the Madmen TV series as one of Don Draper's favorite spots so, that's the vibe you'll find in here.
Lamb burger and garlic fries were amazing... Service was top notch!
Very brisk during happy hour but good service
Good drinks and 'okay' food. Nothing special. They hide the good ketchup (Heinz) unless you ask for it!
Iconic place for Berger's. My friend loves the oyster selection.
Drinks were great, service was great. 3 stars because I ordered a 16oz Ribeye and it was not what I was expecting. Steak had a bunch of fat so I threw half of it out. Will try it out one more time to see if it was just a bad day.
Stopped by after a long bike ride. Excellent location, beautiful views, drinks were very well made at the outdoor bar seating area and the food was very enjoyable. Definitely a place you can sit back and enjoy a drink or meal.
We were in NY for Aida at the Met and decided to have a drink at PJ Clarkes while we waited for our hotel room to be ready. We sat at the bar where David greeted us as did Ian, who is bartender extraordinaire, they were both so welcoming and nice and the drinks were great. The restaurant and staff made you feel at home and the food looked yummy. As a result, we canceled our reservations we had elsewhere and made reservations to come back for dinner at 5:30. David made sure we were given the best corner window table and Ian greeted us with our exact drink order!! David made us feel special by coming by to say hello. It was fabulous, our dinner was great as was our waiter. We cannot say Thank You enough David, Ian and all of the waitstaff we interacted with to help make our night in New York memorable! You guys are great! Best, Heather, Aldo, Deb and Tommy
They serve large portions and for convenient pricing. friendly employees. Never disappointing.
A cozy old joint serving traditional American food - great burgers and fries and beers on tap! Excellent food and service. Came here at about 11pm and their fries were still fresh!
The food is excellent, the drinks are well balanced, the service is friendly, the only drawback is that it's a bit loud and the tables are packed pretty tightly.
Just had appetizers and cake at PJ’s! All I can say is the experience was amazing! The service was fantastic and the food was so delicious! And Mazin Manahi and Kim our waitress went above and beyond! Lots of love for this place!! From Hilton Head, SC
Good food but outside service at night was very slow and confusing. They only had two servers for 24 seats.we didn't receive napkins or utensils for like 20 mins and had to wait over 30mins for the bill
Good food and great views! I love this location, they have some of the best views of the Hudson which you can enjoy while dining in their outdoor seating area. Yes, they are a little on the pricier side ($19 for a frozen rosé champagne float) but the drinks are really very good and the food is quite tasty. We (a group of 5) visited here on a Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately even though we hadn't made any reservations. Our server was friendly and made us feel very welcome. This place has a great atmosphere and vibe to it. Perfect for dates or even post work drinks. You can easily spend couple of hours here just sitting and enjoying the view of the beautiful Marina and if you're lucky you may even witness some breathtaking sunsets.
One of the few notable NYC restaurants that boasts its history and excellence simultaneously. The best quality beers on tap and unbelievably welcoming service from every single staff here. What a breathtaking decoration, not to mention, and the foods are stuffing both your stomach and soul.
Great place to hang out, three main course was pretty ok, noting to special in taste, but the cheese cake was awesome. But best is the ambience and location. We sat outdoors, by the water front and it was great outdoors. Also great service too... Strongly recommend!
A most enjoyable outdoor dining experience, the oysters and the burgers in particular were very good. Since moving to New York City, our daughters and son-in-law have eaten here before and wanted us to experience P J Clarke's. Great customer service as Mr Manahi kindly reduced our check in view of the delay in serving our food. (We made it to JFK in time for our flight!).
Took a little while to get a waitress but she did fine once she came. Three others in my group got a side with their meals but fish tacos didn't??!! Good fish tacos, tho.
Friendly atmosphere, quality service and great food. Matt the bartender was awesome....very attentive....top notch
Work in the building next door. Good an d happy crowd. Nice place
Burger was not cooked to my request, ribs were not anything special. Drinks were fair. Prices fairly high.
Some of the best burgers I have ever had -- best I've had in my limited NYC experience. The staff was so friendly that this lost tourist felt right at home right away. I loved the historical building and ambience. If you're looking for that unique NYC dining experience, I suggest here.
Great burger and after work scene!
Lovely old bar on 3rd Avenue.Good atmosphere between tourists and locals alike.Always drop in here for a few and usually leave at closing time.
Quick easy inexpensive meal. Staff iffy on our shift.
Classic . food still good after all these years
I like it I should have order the burger I got crispy chicken and it was more bun than chicken. But the service was good our waiter friendly
This was the 1st place that my late husband had me meet his brother-in-law who had just flown in from France. I always enjoy their classic burger, with fries & a glass of Guinness beer!!! Yummy!!

Waitress was sweet, and the food was delicious. Didn't have to wait for a seat on a Friday!
Loved Rachel!! Super sweet!
Went to this place with my kids just yesterday and we all had an amazing time there. The burgers were so juicy, tender and very tasty. Props to the owner/owners of this place. Two thumbs up.
Classically fantastic. This place is the perfect example of a New York standard. The burgers, true to form, are in the category of one of the best in the city, along with the fries. Basic steakhouse staples like wedge salad are all excellent, and they have top-notch seafood, including a raw bar with freshly shucked oysters. they actually have a separate wait staff for the raw bar offerings. At any given time, you will find 50% tourists in the dining area, but still a staple of locals at the bar. This is largely due to the midtown location, and the fact that this place was featured regularly on "Mad Men." Still, I'd rather eat here than J.G. Mellon where they only take cash. A real can't-go-wrong spot.
I went with some french friends and they aprovede the wines menu. Fantastic Burgers. I must go back to try more things. Service is incredible.

We had a wonderful time there. The food was excellent, the Jumbo Lobster roll was delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter, Mike, was really helpful and friendly.
We went there for the burgers, and it's now one of my favorite burger experiences in NYC. It's a straightforward simple burger but so good. I loved the fries too. Had the crunchiness of your good fast-food fries without the chemicals (at least I hope). The wait staff was great. But it did take 15 min past our reservation to get our table ready, so build that into your expectations.
Amazing burgers and fish - and the view is killer. Awesome post-work hangout.
Great place for having lunch!
This is one of my go to places when friends ate in town. They have the best burgers and fries. This place is also a prime spot for happy hours so it can get quite loud.
good place to relax after work
Nice place. Great location and have good drink collection. Service is great
Went for lunch. Ordered the burger medium rare. Got a completely rare burger with not much taste. Will not be going back $$$ for an under cooked flavor lacking burger.
Classic Manhattan hangout, with prices to match. Good selection of cocktails, nice Bourbon list. Buying two buys a bottle at the package store. Burger rocks, overall quite nice if you can afford it.
Loved it. Professional and friendly people. Wonderful customer service.
Very dark ambience. Food was good.
Great wine selection, and I was worried after they removed the oyster bar if their oyster quality would go down but not at all. Great oysters and burgers. Fantastic New York City Restaurant
Typical American restaurant with bad food and continuous bothering.
P.J. Clarke's has a great patio. They have a great beer selection. AND their food is great! Are you sensing a theme? They do allow smoking at the bar after midnight -- but nothing good ever happens after midnight anyway, right...... They have darts and bocce in the back. What is not to love??
My favorite bar in NYC. Generations of my family have frequented PJ's. Gerry is the best. If you want an authentic NY Irish pub with plenty of history, this is the place. Great food as well.
A dear friend first brought me here during a visit to NYC and it made me realise what a good burger is. Love the place and I'm back there every time I'm in town.
Really nice restaurant. Came here for lunch and had excellent service and tasty food. Upscale and welcoming vibe.
Got a top notch cheeseburger while looking at the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Looked after by nice J1'ers too from Cork and Dublin.
Hole in the wall atmosphere with bar and restaurant in the back. I suggest you try their burgers. The blue cheese and the PJ are amazing! Quick friendly service too!
I like the PJC chain, but not the best experience. The drinks were exorbitant, and the food overcooked (a burger ordered med rare came out well done). Saving grace is the ambiance and very nice and helpful wait staff. I hope for better next time; for now, average at best.
Beautiful outdoor bar and cafe service!
Good food. Friendly service. Crowded... the s'mores dessert looks outrageously delicious
Possibly the best bar in NYC. Lovely old pub building. The staff are amazing and very welcoming. Great drinks, oysters and a juke box, what more could you need? Happy hour 3pm til 6pm
Impeccable service from start to finish. We didn't have a reservation and the hostess was incredibly kind and gave us a private corner to enjoy the evening. Our server was warm and knowledgeable, between the two of us we ordered a classic hamburger (my husband said it was amazing) and I enjoyed the ribeye steak with several sides of incredible bearnaise sauce alongside a Caesar salad. Dessert was a slice of Hudson NY cheesecake and if I had to do it all over again, I would! Rex the manager came over to check in on us and we enjoyed a spirited conversation that capped off an incredible meal. 10/10 would recommend.
While being a traditional NYC place, it is just okay as a restaurant. The burger I had was good, but not great. The oysters were okay. The mussels we're not bad. It might be your kind of place, but don't rush over expecting culinary excellence. If you are looking for old style NYC ambiance, then you might have found your place.
it was great. Good to get away from the tourists in Times Square. Old fashioned pub and diner. Met a lovely New Yorker lady who recommended things to do. Good food and good service.
I had 2 orders of French fries and a Chicken Caesar Salad. The French fries were super delicious. But the chicken Caesar left alot to be desired. I was expecting an actual salad, but they basically give you 4 thick (and really dry) chicken slices sitting on top of some cabbage. Not good at all. They charged me $23 for the so-called salad, plus $13 for each order of fries, and $12 for a vodka and soda. My tab came to $61. I was so unhappy. The waiter was very fast and professional and the atmosphere was good. So 1 star for the waiter, 1 star for the delicious fries, and 1 star for the atmosphere. But -1 star for the prices and -1 star for the bad salad. This place is for high net worth, upper class people with money. Don't come here if you earn a modest middle class living.
Great food and attentive service.
Usually go for the burgers and absolutely love them. This time, I had the Proper Fish and Chips. It's a 24 dollar dish that is huge. And, here's the best part as compared to other places, there was a lot fish and it was GOOD!!! The service is as always very attentive.
Lots on their menu and great view while dining. Great service and nice atmosphere!
Always good... One of those places that I always hope it never changes.
Great spot for small or large groups after work. Friendly service and great views of the Hudson.
Great vibe, excellent service and good food.
OMG, the smoked salmon mini tacos are awesome.
The taste is perfect!
Great cocktails. Nice selection of oysters.
One of the best hamburgers in the neighborhood. I had the BBQ blue cheese hamburger, every bite is so great. Love the food and the atmosphere.
Classically fantastic. This place is the perfect example of a New York standard. The burgers, true to form, are in the category of one of the best in the city, along with the fries. Basic steakhouse staples like wedge salad are all …
Lively location, great food, super service.
Great location, great for summer diner or drinks. Great comfort food
Nice drinks and oysters
The go too spot of Brookfield. It has been there and just never gets old. The wings are so good and my friends were raving about the fries. Drinks are always on point
Basic menu. Small dining area. a little on the loud side.
I have eaten here 6 times and always love it. Great food, great atmosphere and great crowd. Staff is friendly and personable
Good food but small tables.
Great place to hang out. Nice food and beer variety.
Great bar as well as a great place to eat, it's right next to Brookfield Plaza off the water. Expect to spend the box but it's well worth every dollar you spend. The staff and the place are excellent!
Super friendly staff, good stuff drinks, decent prices. Beware, can become crowded on weekdays with the after work crowd.
Very nice place and staff. Fast service. Meals ok but could be much better. The crab cakes benedicts and avocado toast were very average. But I’ll come back to retry !
I had an awkward experience with Postmates, while driving. Someone came and picked up my order and could of been a glitch on the app. I almost left but Andreana and Gabriela went out of the way and remade the order. I will be back soon to try the burgers, they look fantastic!!!! Thanks again girls for all of your help!
DO NOT PAY CASH!! Tonight I went for a quick dinner with three guests at the NYC Third Avenue location. . As always, the food was wonderful. HOWEVER, I settled a $137 bill with $160. One hundred dollar bill and three twenties. I knew what I left because I knew what was in my wallet. The waiter came back with four twenties and told me I made a mistake. I said, no, I gave you a hundred. He went to the hostess and came back and basically told me there was nothing I could do u less I wanted to wait while they could tee out the cash receipts. Not wanting to waste time and stress my guests I put down another hundred and took back a twenty. Thief. I didn’t like the waiter from the start but I didn’t expect dishonesty. Horrible.
Great food, good atmosphere. FANTASTIC STAFF. I felt welcomed and was treated kindly.
Fun, high energy atmosphere; good food, friendly and attentive service, and the manager, Mazin, helped to make our night extra special! Would highly recommend!
I love goin to pjs down here. Really good food, nice big bar, great outside seating area. It’s obviously newer so you’re not going to get the cool old school vibes like the original location.
......nothing gluten free here. Our service was really slow even though we only had drinks. Probably a better bet for having a beer when you want to stay a while.
Great! Food was great. Sit outside!
Casual, relaxed delicious food. The burgers are tops! Approx $20 for a bacon cheese burger is pricey (at time of writing), but it's fantastic! Always properly cooked to order. Been coming here for 10 yrs through menu changes, price changes and additional franchisees. This one is still the best. Even some of the staff has been around as long which says they must be doing something right. Service has always been spot on. Usually a lineup at dinner time, so expect to sit for 30 min or so at the bar during peak hours. Off peak you can walk in a get a table right away. Other food is great as well from comfort staples to steaks. Atmosphere is fun and looks like it hasn't changed since the 30's. Old photographs adorn the walls. Always find something I hadn't noticed on previous trips. Enjoy and long live PJ Clarke's.
They have excellent food here and fast service. I had the crunchy chicken sandwich and it was great. My lunchmate ordered a chicken pot pie, which she does whenever she goes to Clarke's. She says it's the best she has found among many, many restaurants in the Upper East Side/ Midtown area. We asked for a quiet table and got one in a partial alcove that was very cozy and easy to hear inside. Will definitely be coming back here sometime soon. The food is incredible for the price: we spent 60+14 tip for two entrees and two glasses of wine between us. The unique atmosphere and the food make this one really worth it.
Brilliant bar Liam the bar man excellent very friendly
Great Service! Excellent lobster roll!
The waiter suggested the lobster roll. He was absolutely right. Good food and good service
Great burgers little pricey good beer selection great shot selection nice atmosphere a nice place overall
The service was great. Very friendly staff. The food was perfect. I had the Buttered Naked Lobster Roll. The prices are reasonable. The view is wonderful. I had a view of the Statue of Liberty.
Food was decent but the service was horrific. Our waiter was unfriendly, slow, and extremely short with us. She never introduced herself to us until the very end or even cracked a smile. If you come here and receive a waitress named Mary then I suggest you leave immediately.
Like any other bar. Good drinks and appetizers. More of an after work bar (not many young people around). Good place to hang out post work.
Much better burgers than Schnippers, quite pricey for lunch.
Liam was pretty awesome. The oreo cake to die for. Very cool little bar.
One of the oldest and best pubs in NYC. Amazing food
We had a wonderful time there. The food was excellent, the Jumbo Lobster roll was delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter, Mike, was really helpful and friendly.
The first visit was great so we went back again a month later and equally sensational. Burger and ribs were the order of the day.
Great atmosphere and excellent service. The food is over-priced for what you get. I have had better at simple diners for a lot less.
Too small table for group size. Lamb burguer was something really special
If you enjoy a well-weathered pub, you can't beat PJs.
Classic old American tavern with anachronistic and quirky and quaint touches expected of a tavern one goes to for the ambiance. Food is not remarkable but atmosphere is worthwhile. The bathrooms are nostalgic and not in a good way. You can retain antique notions with modern amenities. The bathrooms need upgrading. No one wants nostalgia in the loo. From

This spot was awesome. It had a really great feel, the staff was all incredibly friendly and attentive. We showed up pretty late on a Thursday and had just an awesome experience. I wish I had taken a photo, but the club sandwich was amazing, and so we’re the drinks (old fashioned)! We had a great waiter, bigger guy— very friendly, very attentive to detail (he realized my order was wrong before he delivered it and fixed it before bringing it out). I would for sure come back
Great food, great beer, and awesome retro structure fixtures and bathroom
Not cheap, but not too expensive. The atmosphere is worth the price. The food was excellent. Clearly, the place has a long history – – reflected in the dishes.
Great place!!!! Frank Sinatra (and other people) loved it! Lovely black angus!! Everything is very good to taste!!! It is worth a visit...
Found this little gem on in P.J. Clarke's , after a day with my son at Fairyland! It's literally across the street from the park! The inside is very urban and super clean. The menu is pretty straight forward and not too many things to have to choose from when building your burger, simplicity at its finest! The service was great! The staff were very friendly and enjoyed hearing about my day with my son and how we found the place! FOOD, omg.... AMAZING! Burger was perfect and much like one you get from one of those old school burger joints that you drive up to! Fries are yummy, shoestring style and their milkshakes were to die for! A must visit when in The Town! P.J. Clarke's.
Nice design and modern style with delicious chocolate risotto with fresh fruit and fresh herbs and rice
Loved everything about this place from the large windows and the atmosphere to the servers who are totally ready to please you. We all can't wait to come back again!
Rowell was the best. Should absolutely be management. We came on a Sunday morning for brunch. He had a knowledge of the menu and the drinks that was beyond professional. Furthermore he gave us reccomendations on how to spend the rest of the day and made our trip that much more special. Would recommend PJ Clarke's to anyone. Ask for Rowell!!!!
Visited here from Seattle with my family. Beautiful view of the harbor. Everything we had was very good and the portions were definitely more than enough. Scallop ceviche was to die for, as were the Tots. Husband and I both had the Waygu burger(absolutely delicious!)Our girls had the fish tacos, the Proper fish and chips and the roasted brussel sprouts...
Such a disappointment! It's a far cry from the original. The worst part is you're charged for a meal that you would expect to be good, or at least look good. It looked cheap and tasted cheap. Good service though and nice view.
Good Food and the Staff very polite and the food exquisite. I will recommend it
Great music, good atmosphere, good location
Great patio with views of the Hudson River, a lively atmosphere and good food. Staff were very friendly
Sry, $74 bux for a burger, a chicken sandwich and 1 annoyingly tiny narragansett is just over the top for lunch. Shake shack is better on all and it's half the price. Save your money.
Loved our meal at PJ Clarkes! The cheesecake was huge.
Friendly bar tender, easy to go here and strike up a convo with and older vibe. Good burger and fries. They have a wedge salad
Great burgers and a fun place to get a drink and good dinner.
food and liquor is really good, but comes with really high price. atmosphere is also very nice, some of the two top dinning tables are put at little rooms on purpose, which is perfect for couples.
Service was awful, seven waiters past us by and didnt ask us if we needed any assistance . Had crispy chicken sandwich that was dry and tasted like cardboard, fries were cold. Chicken wings sucked . Only good thing was froze .
Very nice area over looking the water. Restaurants, bars and malls. Nice place to relax after work hours.
Really awesome food and cocktails my cousins and i visited recently we each had something different the pot pie and steak also the oysters were extremely amazing will be back.
Very attentive staff with good quality bar and grill fare. However, due to where's it's located, be prepared to pay for touristy prices.
This is a vintage restaurant with great appetizers and entrees. Warning: don't cut the Cadillac Burger in half! It'll be a mess.
Pricey but freshly prepared food with a much broader menu than most pubs. Old New York.
Nice bar and restaurant with a great view of the statue of liberty and NJ. It is especially popular during the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and location.
Great ambience & perfect setting. Should not miss this experience!
Calamari was crispy, oysters were yummy and I enjoyed the lamb burger with my prosecco.
Skirt steak is fabulous!
Great food. Very nice views. Handicap friendly. Clean bathrooms. Servers were pleasant and responded quickly to all requests. The food and alcohol is relatively pricey but not terrible. Would definitely return
Great place to have lunch or dinner in or outside is lo lovely!
The food it's good, but we go to dinner and there was too semidarkness
Ate upstairs at the sidecar. Very nice and quieter then downstairs, you could talk.
Decent drinks outside on the patio. Ok service.
Great spot after lots of downtown fun.
Classic NY pub. Rare self standing spot on 3rd ave. Great for happy hour.
Highly recommend! A one of a kind experience. Everything was delicious and exciting, the staff was friendly and personable and the service was awesome.
After a very long day with my mother, niece, and great nephew it was time to find a nice sit down place to eat. We actually asked a fireman at station 10 and he recommended P.J. Clarke’s! The Restuarant was packed by the time we finally maneuvered our way there, however the hostess didn’t make us wait and directed us to a table. The manager, Mazin Manahi greeted us and made us feel so welcomed! This being the first time to New York he spent time explaining how to maneuver the subway and just getting to know us. The food was remarkable!! The Cadillac burger lived up to its name and the wings were scrumptious! After all of that we sure didn’t need to have dessert but with the exceptional service we enjoyed the best cheese cake I’ve ever tasted! Highly recommend putting this place on the must list! We will definitely be back!
Excellent simole Classic Burger. Place has a good vibe too.
Nice restaurant but definitely pricey if you're sitting inside and not getting the full view. During the summer, they setup tables outside by the marina which really makes the location shine.
Love the scenery and After work vibes. Cocktails are really good.
Have been a few times but lately just not worth the time nor money. Fish and chips where mediocre and portions shrank. Hope they improve but drinks are still well served.
Amazing gin and tonic! ♥️
My best stake was at this place!
Great cocktails, good food, good service. Recommended!
Good, but not super rave worthy
Great and beautiful place, I will come back again!
Classic American bar, the burgers are really good. I also love the hand made tater tots, and always grab an order while I'm here. The desert was really good too. We had both the chocolate Oreo cake, which was really rich, and the cheesecake was delicious!!
I don't know what I was expecting a $27 burger and fries to taste like but I have eaten better for half the amount. It makes me wonder whether the "legendary" reputation is about the price.
quite popular place, bit doesn't seem to me like a good value
Great service, great drinks, amazing burgers and fresh seafood
Great restaurant by the waterfront. Good food and service!
Lunch was perfect. We got the baby ribs and salmon tacos. Both were excellent. The view is quite good as well. Price wise is it comparable with other NYC restaurants.
P.J. Clarke's was a great restaurant to visit. The customer service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I didn't care for the calamari at all, the pieces were too thick for my liking and they were very greasy/oily. The wings were really good, and our main entree which was a Sea Bass dish, was excellent! We ordered the onion straws on the side and they were really tasty. My friend ordered the key lime pie which I didn't taste, but she thought that it was just O.K. She said that it tasted like it had a little too much gelatin in it. I'll definitely visit again for more Sea Bass and I also want to try the shrimp cocktail which looked excellent.
Ordered the falafel Burger added lettuce, tomatoes, sauteed onions ,and mushrooms got the homemade tots. My husband got the chicken sandwich. Food was good over all. Server guy seemed to be quite distracted while serving us during our time in the restaurant.
Amazing food, you could even hear people at other tables with different items raving about how good everything is.
Outdoor, harbor views, good drinks, good food - burgers are good. Can’t really go wrong.
Come on. Where are your vegan options. Everytime I go here after the RBC run it's a huge disappointment of a lunch.
The service was great and the food great.
Iconic NY pub... still as great as the first time I went there 30 years ago. Good beer, good burgers and will not bankrupt you... staff are awesome!
Lobster roll was meh. Burgers and steaks looked great
We visit this place every time we are in NY. Great place for a drink or a burger. Nothing fancy, but that's what makes it so good! Relaxed and good food.
We went for my girlfriend's birthday. It's a great place with a TON of history. Note that the menu that comes up on Google is old, lacks some items and the prices are about double that in reality. Go to their actual website for a current …
Delicious go-to spot
Food was good, our server was great. Prices were on the high side
The burgers here were juicy. I ordered a medium bacon cheeseburger with fries. The pickles come on the side and they play the onions under the burger. There's a bar in the front if you're one to socialize as well as a back if you're trying to eat. If you're expecting to go to the bathroom here however, do be cautious around the stalls as they do not lock and do not appear to have alot of privacy.
Must visit, I loved the food here.
Wonderful outdoor seating with a fantastic view of the harbor and Lady Liberty. Great burgers and the meatiest crabcake I've ever had!
Cooking of burgers was unfortunate. Table next to us asked for medium well and got rare, I asked for medium and got medium well. Fries were delicious. Server was attentive.
One of the NY classics. Famous for the hamburgers but nowadays not limited to. Durning the years PJ Clarks exploited its name becoming more upscale although not to be consider formal. Professional staff and large choice of beers. Clark has however lost part of his authenticity becoming more a brand. Still it's worth the visit.
I always eat outside in the garden facing the marina. It’s a little pricey, but the food is good and it’s worth it to enjoy dinner while watching the ships glide in front of the sunset. I’d recommend it as a nice date spot as well.
Very nice location. Super delicious lobster rolls. Very meaty and buttery roll.
Excellent service
Management is wonderful here! The atmosphere is great! I just wished they had more vegan options. I had the arugula salad, and it was delicious!
Best food we had in NYC. Great service and history to the place. Amazing cheesecake, best we've ever had.
Listen, you gotta keep those prices up to keep a historic spot like this alive in a pla¢€ like N¥¢! Glad to see a good old landmark still standing!
Great view! Close to the 9/11. The Sundae fudge was delicious.
Great food, and great customer service. The waiter Mike, was a very nice guys. And oh man, the Oreo Cake...
Great food. Clam Chowder excellent.
Good food and waterfront view with statue of liberty in the distance. Pricey... but everything is in NYC.
One star out of five because it is close to our hotel and you cant give 0/5. Waiter guided us to table and gave us menus. After that we sat at the table for 15minutes and no one seemed to be intrested in us. The staff did not even ask us what we would like to drink. Because we did not get any service we decided to leave and find another restaurant. Avoid this place!
An upscale American bar that specializes in their seafood, but all their options are great. I highly recommend the poblano burger, extremely fresh and a little bit different than your standard bar fare. The prices can be a little steep even for Manhattan but you definitely get your money's worth in quality. The outdoor bar during the warmer months is also a great time, but it can be a little burdensome to get the bartender's attention with the sheer volume of people that show up.
Very good burger, BBQ Bleu Burger, yet possibly a bit overpriced. I guess you pay for location, name and atmosphere. The bar is quite old and hence the interior reflects that. That definitely makes it worth spending so time and money here. The bartender Gary is the classic kind of bartender you want to have in a place like this: you never feel like a stranger. Thank you!
No Happy hour, given the quality the prices are high. Nice outside setup of you want to spend $$$
Lamb burger was juicy. Calamari was light and buttery. Service was excellent.
Amazing food atmosphere. And staff always friendly!
Everything’s perfect, the ambiance, service, food and location!
Fine place for a burger, usually very busy for lunch (good sign), however slightly overrated: maybe crowdy for the trendy location rather than the superior quality of the food.
Outstanding service and food was spot on. Prices were also spot on especially for new york..2nd yr in row we ate there and its most definitely worth it
We went there for the burgers, and it's now one of my favorite burger experiences in NYC. It's a straightforward simple burger but so good. I loved the fries too. Had the crunchiness of your good fast-food fries without the chemicals (at least I hope). The wait staff was great. But it did take 15 min past our reservation to get our table ready, so build that into your expectations.
Food was good, very crowded seating. Difficult to hear across the table
I have been to this place so many times in the past years and it never changes, the vibe is phenomenal with the dim lights and the walls covered in old pictures. The food is worthy the price and the cocktails are pretty good too. PS If you go there for a romantic dinner you can ask to be seated in the small niche they have right before the main dining room!
Nice place to eat. Service was first class and food was fab. Prices were not bad for New York. Good place to stop after the river cruise.
Very nice atmosphere, right near the water. Excellent staff. The food is great, one of the best lamb burgers I've had. Dine inside or out, plenty of seating . typical city pricing. Theres alot of foot traffic around that can be entertaining.
Amazing outdoor view, friendly staff, good food, very reasonable prices for the location
Yes. Awesome historic feel. Great service burgers were good. But very pricey and busy. Overall worth it.
Great food and drinks located on the water. There is bar seating, restaurant seating, and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is massive. The steak was fantastic with a chimchurri sauce. The creamed spinach was okay, but they chopped it up which I liked. Overall great dining experience.
Decent place, but service was 50-50. Ordered a Bordeaux, but was brought a cheap Beaujolais. When I pointed this out to the server, he suggested they were comparable (despite these being two entirely different regions of France). I only knew this from living in France. Rather than argue, we just dealt with it and moved on, but still a pretty big faux pas.
We had a party of 10 that came to watch the USA women's world cup parade and we stumbled upon this place. Let me just say that the manager Mazin Manahi is our new favorite person. Talk about hospitality, professionalism, friendliness, and just an overall amazing person, he checks all the boxes. He set us up with nice seats outside overlooking the water. The servers were right on top of us bringing us drinks and keeping an eye on us the whole time. Our food was very good and brought out hot. They also had and outside bar and music playing the whole time we were there. I would highly recommend this place and if you visit tell Mazin his favorite people from Philly said hello!
good burger and atmosphere
Okay, this is a mixed review. The service was wonderful, the view, incredible, the food... meh. The mahi tacos, that I was looking so very forward to, we're dry and had very little sauce. I would try this place again in hopes that this was a one time fluke, but it's only due to the other two great aspects. The mall it's in reminds me of Tyson's Galleria so, I have high expectations for places like this.
Two of the people in my party ordered the arugula salad right off the menu for $14. When the bill came, it was listed for $19. Shona, the server, stated she ordered the larger portion since we did not ask for the smaller salad; however, nowhere on the menu does it state there is a larger size available nor did she offer an option. Bottomline: poor up-selling. Additionally, one of the hot meals arrived cold.
Outstanding! Highly recommend. Had a large group for cocktails and dinner. Service was perfect and food was DELICIOUS!
Summary: good burgers and a brilliant bartender. This is my sixth visit at this place and the burger quality never disappoints. Onion rings and fries were also excellent. I had also tuna tacos and I found the texture of the taco shells themselves not the best compared to other places. One word about the bartender that managed my order faultessly in a busy day while preparing what looked like great cocktails. He was brilliant.
Great place and great food
I thought the burgers here were a little too expensive compared to its quality. It sure got the good old school vib going on though.
Dark moody steakhouse. Typically noisy. Went for a late night dinner with colleagues. Had the strip steak. Nice piece of meat, wasn't tough, cooked perfect, not over seasoned. Excellent wait staff. Good drinks, good selection of beers and liquors. Four stars comes from how crowded it is; and yes I realize its NYC, but at 10pm, for those prices, it would be good to at least be able to "slide" in between two tables and not make people interrupt their meals, stand up to get to a table.... So for how many they pack into the space, minus a star. City life.
Service was beyond good. Food, drinks anszing.
As always this place is great. I had the burger and the fries are always fantastic. A Gibson, perfectly shaken with 3 tasty pearl onions. The whole meal was nice, service was great and i was able to review the days headlines quite comfortably.
Cheerful service and great food. They have a large patio with views of the Statue of Liberty.
Such good food with great staff and excellent beers on tap. Highly recommend the chicken wings to start and a burger for dinner! Really cool place to take someone who hasn't been there before.
Good food, good service from friendly people, very accommodating to customers with children of all ages. Prices were reasonable for New York. Location is very convenient for both tourists and locals. I enjoyed the visit and expect to return in the future.
Best wagyu burger and cider I have tried.
Incredible burgers, pretty busy restaurant. Service was good
Service, food and atmosphere amazing. Love going there.
Great service, great views and overall an enjoyable place to spend time.
Awesome hamburger, great service, pretty view of the river eating outside under the trees
Great place, great food, AWESOME service!
Server was great. Personable, efficient Helped us evacuate when drenching rain started. BUT, lobster roll was disappointing. Rubbery. I took half home and rescued by mincing. Books say its due to overcooking.
Good food, great location on Battery Park City.
Loved it. Has dinner outside under the trees with lights, watching the ships go by. Delicious food, good service, excellent conversation with an employee who stopped by and checked on our food and service
I went with some french friends and they aprovede the wines menu. Fantastic Burgers. I must go back to try more things. Service is incredible.
Management is wonderful here! The atmosphere is great! I just wished they had more vegan options. I had the arugula salad, and it was delicious!
Bloody good bloody mary
Well, I loved P. J. Clarke's! That's in a nutshell! This waterfront restaurant, gets three things spot on! 1. Great service with excellent customer focus 2. Good food at great prices 3. The waterfront view is amazing!
Pleasantly surprised. Everything was delicious and a wonderful view when you seat on the terrace!
Great food, drinks and service.
Disappointed. Pretty big prices not justified. Clam chowder was amazing, but it is also $13. Burger was undercooked (asked for med-well, came med-rare). Mentioned it to the waiter and said I would eat it, but I expected a better apology for a $20 burger. Meat seemed high quality. Fries: no big deal. Mac n cheese w peas and bacon was good. Girlfriend got ribs which were so-so. Drinks were decent at fair prices. Sitting in Sinatras booth helped the poor food experience, but I say grab a drink and eat elsewhere. They do serve late.
Good drinks and nice meat. Lobster roll wasn’t good though. Very crowded and good ambience. Worth a visit
Simply: The best burguer ever
Great food and great view!
Service was a little slow but temp was right and so was the view.
This is the 10 best restaurant operators in USA hospitality forward and best local bar. What other Place can you say has been open 125 years ago?
Food was delicious & the staff was pleasant. Views on the Hudson are amazing! Awesome spot!
I know it's an institution and historic and the food was decent; however 20 bucks for a burger seems a bit much even on Third Avenue. All the servers were really nice and accommodating.
We had great food and a great server here. Nice location right by the water, with a nice outdoor space.
Loved our meal at PJ Clarkes! They made my birthday great! The waiter was amazing and I'm craving their breakfast burger again!! The cheesecake was huge and the absolute best cheesecake I've ever had. Now that I'm back home in NC, I'm wishing I could have it delivered!!!
Really busy with after work crowd, good beer selection in nice pub surroundings.
This was such a surprise for us! Wonderful staff and excelent food and view! They made me a special table, for my birthday, though it was really crowded in happy hour time, and I haven't done prior reservations.
Food was A1 and the bartenders know what they're doing no watered down drinks here.
Everything was ok, prices were pretty steep for the level based on Google. Picked based on the decent reviews and price range. Didn't expect a $200+ bill for 4 people at a $$ restaurant. Nice location, quick walk from the World Trade Center. Close to the water, able to view the Statue of Liberty from outside.
Always perfect. And now, the worlds finest cheesecake. Remarkable.
A native Irish New Yorker this place is a classic- at one point my grandmother was even a waitress there.
Nice restaurant , good food
Good food and great location. Friendly staff
Natassia was absolutely the best and most adorable Bartender/Server ever-ever!!
The feel of yatch club in NYC
Traditional NY diner with vintage hardwood decor, exposed brickwork and gingham table dressing. Fantastic food. We skipped starters and went straight to mains of steak and burgers. All was cooked to perfection especially the filet steak which was thick and juicy. The fries were also amazing. The added touch of a classic New York strawberry cheesecake with a birthday candle topped off a fabulous evening.
Always fun, consistent drinks and food. Great location
#NICE
My colleague and I waited 45 minutes for our lunch - not even an apology. It wasn’t very busy. Food is good. Never going back.
The food was very delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. BUT BEWARE!! Some of servers are copying credit cards and making purchases online and also selling the numbers to people in different states! My card was used to purchase food at Outback Steakhouse in a different state $360 and also purchase shoes online! Use only cash if possible.
Terrible service. I made a reservation with my family and afterwards my brother went there to write our name on the list just in case. They told him it would be about an hour wait (same time as our reservation). We got there right in time and the employees told us we would have to wait about 10 more minutes. There was no place to sit so we waited standing. An hour passed and we were still standing there! We didn’t leave because every time we asked they said we would very soon get our table. They even denied they had said we’d get your table by then. The manager was very rude whenever we asked him. We finally got our table an hour and a half after our reservation.
He was really good, I had a skirt steak macaroni cheese with lobster It was priced reasonable
Bartender was very rude. We left before even ordering drinks
Good food, not a wide variety, however the location and staff make it worth the visit.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere delightful. Service was top of the class.
New to NY , it was a great resturant!!!!! It was a great food and more great service! The staff was so nice.
Great food and service!
This is a very old and traditional place. Very well down. Everybody was very pleased with their meal.
Went to this place with my kids just yesterday and we all had an amazing time there. The burgers were so juicy, tender and very tasty. Props to the owner/owners of this place. Two thumbs up.
I go here often. Food is good. Pizza is good. Service is nice. There’s a pizza shop area, ice cream area, take out hot food area, and then the restaurant area. I love the set up. Even if it’s crowded they serve you fast and are very accommodating.
