Perfect place for happy hours! Went here for drinks during my birthday week and absolutely loved it. The view is amazing and it feels like you’re on a boat. The food options aren’t too bad. It gets pretty crowded and music is lit. Going back again soon!

Meagan D

Drinks and food are amazing here! It’s a big place too, with lots of table, bar, and patio space. It’s a great place if you’re a big group looking to have a good time. It’s a big happy hour and weekend spot for locals

Elizabeth Gibson

Cool spot to have lunch . It's a food truck tucked away with shaded seating. Very friendly staff and better than average fish n chips. Sauces are great!

Brett Gottfried

Friendly and fast wait staff. they have decent prices and the mixed drinks we got were good. We didn't get any food (other than fries) so I can't comment on that. But the view was great. You can look out into the River and see the statue while you dine.

Alozmighty

The location is perfect. However I would say if you're planning on going to Pier A you should stay away from driving because finding parking is really hard plus is meter parking. Taking the public transportation is probably the best option. The view is breathtaking especially if you're into taking nice pics. You can see amazing sunsets. The food isn't exceptional and the menu isn't fancy. The staff behind the bar can be extremely rude but I said to myself I won't review the establishment based on my experience with this particular individual because there were also some nice and attentive servers. This is a good place to go with your friends after class or work. I wouldn't say this is a romantic place for a date but hey maybe it is for some people. Overall it's a good place.

C L

If you prefer sunset by the sea rather than on a rooftop, then you will probably enjoy this dining experience. Great food and drinks.

Conor MacCourtney

Great location for a restaurant, on the water with outdoor seating and views of Lady liberty. Nothing too special about the food. More of a bar than a restaurant. Tables inside are tight like a picnic table. That does make for intimacy while dining but somehow it's not so comfortable. Great place to check out.

lee stanford

Love Pier A bar, lobster roll and beer is all l had on this occasion or should l say, 3 or 4 beers, Great service friendly staff this place really has a fantastic atmosphere "Vib", by the Hudson at Battery park, A big thanks to Hugh our barman. Highly recommend.

Christian Fiorelli

Love this place! Amazing in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the PIER and a great view. Food is also very good, love the oyster happy hour!!

Casey Morton

Super casual prices are good and sit anywhere you want

Shanna Crain

Great for family dining! So nice not to have wait in a line as the place is very accommodating. Staff very friendly. Food was good! Recommend

If you're in the South part of Manhattan near the Staten Island ferry You should stop by pier a Harbor house. Great place for beer a quick drink or bite to eat. The view is great as is the food. We were greeted and served by Mr. AJ., One of the many Great Harbor House Bartenders.

Kika Von Kluck

Beautiful, enormous, surprising and pleasant during a private event. It's indeed magical in the evening.

Layne Doyle

Really awesome area and gorgeous at sunset. The way the sun reflects off the building makes the colors so vivid. I was on a walk not expecting much of anything and my timing was impeccable. I could not have planned it better if I’d tried to. It is a scenic walk and that lower manhattan financial district is so gorgeous and there is so much to see that the walk is definitely worth it. It’s truly a great location to take in a lot of what New York has to offer. It’s a small piece but it’s a respectable one. It’s also a peaceful place within the bustling city that, at the time, didn’t feel so messy or overwhelming. Again, it’s highly recommended to spend some time in the battery park area.

William R

First experience at Pier A while visiting the financial district and battery park. My friends and I enjoyed delicious oysters and I also had a double stack burger

teo dora

great spot to sit outside. not great cocktails...food...but my mom liked it!

Manu Dominguez

This place is really COOL. They have one area outside where you can enjoy the river and liberty statue view with a beer or food. Algo Inside you can eat and drink too. In both areas have DJ playing nice music. The beer is between $6 and 9. No bad for the view that you can enjoy. The food is OK and good sizes that you can share. The mozzarellas sticks with the MariNara sauce really good; The oysters were fresh with different sauces. The nachos and the fried shrimps are ok. The employs very nice and friendly. Definitely is a nice place to have fun and enjoy some drinks and with a good view. See you in another review. More Food and Fun at INstagram: @elmanudominguez/YouTUBE: El Manu Dominguez

We came here for a surprise birthday party for my friend, Mandrew Flantaki, bless his soul, and the service we received was terrible from the get-go. The bartender, who looked like salt bae, was too busy being handsome to even take your order or give you the time of day. Fine whatever. Game 2 of the ALDS was on and we are in New York City and we had to ASK for them to put the Yankee game on. The TVs are strategically place directly above your head so you can't see them unless you snap your neck back and die. When Sir Did Gregorious hit a grandslam nobody seemed to care and the people that did care were golf clapping. Electric atmosphere. As the night went on we proceeded to be normal guests and bought drinks as customers do in a bar. One of the bouncers was having a bad day and went bezerk on us and told us we had to leave because we were standing and being proper consumers in a place that he didn't like. We then moved to a different spot, per his request, and then got screamed at even more by the same worker. The other workers knew he was crazy, and still backed him up and proceeded to kick my group of 20 out of the bar. We went to a cooler bar down the road. Happy Birthday Mandrew <3.

Isaac Aronow

View is A+. Food is good, not life changing, but worth the price. Would go again.

Alicia Reeves

If you are looking for a good bar with nice view this place can become one of your favorite places. The drinks are amazing , so good job to the bartenders and to the other staff working there for the friendly mood. They are really helpful and they will give you a lot of attention.

Merp 2000

Such a lovely restaurant. All the food I've ever had here was good, and the ambiance is delightful.

Stoyan Andreev

Nice restaurant, tasty food. You can see the Statue of Liberty from there. We spent about an hour, looking at the sunset! I definitely recommend doing this.

Carmen Marte

Beautiful place! The salmon is delicious!! I have been there many time and we have been treated very nice.

Ali Jenkins

They recently rebranded to The Oyster House I believe. In the process they changed their menu, getting rid of a lot of their great drink options. The food is still decent. They got rid of waiters and waitresses for drinks and bar food, so everyone in your larty has to order individually at the bar now instead of receiving table service. It also feels more like a sports bar now, with a lot of neon signs and televisions. I think it was better when they kept their historic feel. Still a good place to grab a drink but the feel of the place has changed for the worse.

Michael Tuttle

Huge restaurant and bar at the southern tip of Manhattan, in Battery Park, looking out at the Statue of Liberty. I went on a Saturday night and the place had a frat-house vide. Otherwise, the fried cod was outstanding and the service was quick and friendly. Seating is either indoors or outdoors on the river. Only suggestion, turn the music down a little bit.

James Carter

Great food, great staff!

Paul-Eloi Piat

Clearly disappointing... Nice place but the food is expensive and not at the level. For tourist only.

Erik Taylor

Great service, Great view and worth the stop if you are just in the area or work here.

Edinoel Soto

Alittle pricey but good food and great view of the statue of liberty. Coleslaw was weak! And so was the sangria.

Angela Wheeler

Amazing view of the Hudson River! Great drinks and I had the lobster roll, it was decent but I wouldn't order it again from here. I've had better lobster rolls. But I'm a seafood snob. Overall service and food was great!

Frank

Pier A is a magical place all unto its own, a hidden gem that represents not only what it means to be a New Yorker but symbolizes the trials and tribulations faced by each of this country’s generations, from the Imperial tyranny our oldest of American fathers faced all the way to today’s tumultuous political, social and technological challenges in an ever-changing worldscape. I am extremely proud. Godspeed.

Michelle S

I wouldn’t recommend it. Only go if you are not from here :) otherwise look elsewhere for a better time. 2 stars for the waterfront location, 0 stars for everything else.

Robert Bennett

Richly decorated, top-notch food, historic location.

May Lina

I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was super cozy, lovely, and great staff. I had the salmon which was delicious as well as the cornbread. The calamari was over cooked and too crispy for my liking. Also get ready to spend about 100.00.

Amalia Álvarez Benjumea

Awesome place to have a beer and some snacks, but I would not order their spritz jars. I do not think they know how Aperol spritz actually looks like.

Amelia Cassiraghi

Loved Oyster house, was there for a wedding reception loved the food and that they accommodated us on sangrias!!

Graham Short

Good pints of Guinness food in paper plates - a thick piece of fish in the sandwich, becoming a tourist trap and after work is mobbed by the guys from Wall Street and gets noisy. The bar itself and the location are fantastic. Pick the time of day that suits you

Linda Mione

Music, drinks, food, friends

Geoffrey Foulger

Great place to sip a drink on the deck looking out to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Pricey, but if you can imagine you pay for the view it works out! Perfect for taking people visiting NYC!

Vidhi Kankaria

Pretty calm even on the weekends, but good Hooch options.

Alissa Bertola

One of the best places in the city to enjoy the sunset with a view of the Statue of Liberty. Large place able to accommodate big groups. Good drink and decent food.

jason hunt

Bartenders were terrible....bad attitude...asked for crackers with my oysters and she said I had to order clam chowder because it comes with crackers...made me pay for my meal before it was served...they need a wake up call...i guess new Yorkers are allied to act that way....SAD !!!!

Marcus Bergen

Incredible renovation after so many years! If you can get on the small deck over the harbor -- do it!

Ana Aladashvili

Nice place to hang out but food is not their strong point. Views are beautiful.

Lisa Watson

Great spot for lunch. Make sure to get the Crab Nachos!

Joseph Weiss

Incredible views from the outside southwest tables. Average food. Packed with tourists. Service is terrible.

English with Alina

Fantastic place for social opportunities. Loved the water views and the ample size. Trendy crowd. Especially perfect during hot weather for its outdoor seating. Just sit back and enjoy the Lower Manhattan experience

Chad Kennedy

The staff are brilliant and the views are amazing. Great selection of drinks and always a good atmosphere in here. Keep it up!

Brendan A. MacWade

Fantastic sunset views. Historic building. Good staff (Irish, of course). Good beer selection. But disappointing food and cocktails, even by Stone Street / Financial District Irish pub standards. If you want the same great building with better cocktails and food, go to their upscale joint, Black Tail, on the east end of the pier. Pier A can be a tourist trap, to, as it is next to the Liberty Island ferry.

Consuelo Baraona

Pier A made an unauthorized charge into my credit card. I went to celebrate my birthday with friends this past June 20. We were trying to get waiter/waitress service into the outdoor seating area, but it was impossible. After a long wait, we finally sat outside but the outdoor bar serves only beers, so we have to go back and forth several times to the indoor bar for drinks. By the time of the charge at the bar, we added only $1 in tips due to the bad service. As a surprise, Pier A charged me 30% extra in tips even though I did not authorize it. Several days after, I went back to Pier A to understand if it was a mistake, but they did not even apologize! It is a shame that a nice location is not enough to compensate such a bad service, treatment, and unethical behavior.

Taylor Edwards

They no longer have hot dogs on the menu. Which is a bummer because they were so tasty. Good Atmosphere, great place on the water. They don't have some hostesses outside to see you, So it can be really chaotic trying to get a seet

Alex S

Wonderful interior and outdoor seating, excellent service, and the quality of the food was especially surprising, given how touristy the area is. Unique cocktails, some local ingredients and beers, and very good food. The views and outdoor seating are great. You pay a little more for the location, but worth it.

Jane Cohen

Amazing food and atmosphere! Love this place so much. The sliders are

Bobby G

WOW!! Pier A is a landmark in lower Manhattan, best bar and restaurant near statue of liberty tours in Battery Park. I had an amazing experience, the first floor has an oyster bar that was mindblowing. We went with the East Coast Oysters and they were enormous and flavorful, I followed it up with some Clam Chowder, I have to tell you...they have their seafood down! My friends had Mahi Mahi and the other had a cheeseburger, they had a full bar and very attentive wait staff. They were seriously on point. Next time I'm in the financial district or wall street for work, I'm stopping in.

Idan Eldor

Great place with outdoor seating. Enjoyed our food and beers.

Madeleine Collazo

Great atmosphere. Great views. Great food.

Calli Jones

Rude service, bad food

Jason Oermann

The cocktails, food, view and beer selection are great. Sadly the service is not at peak hours. Be ready to wait a long time for a drink. If you go at off hours it’s great. Awesome view of the Statue of Liberty and Financial Center.

G Aquino

Beautiful waterfront property with plenty of green spaces and unparalleled views of Manhattan's Financial District skyline. Bring a good camera and arrive anytime in the afternoon for the best photos. With all the wealth concentrated in the area, I find it unforgivable that there are no restrooms here. You need to go to the transit terminal nearby for that.

John Forstmeier

Awesome spot with great views. I was here for a company event in one of the upstairs rooms. Great food, drinks, and service.

Laurie Quinn

Love, love this place and will definitely be coming back here.

Susanna Lammi

Nice place with amazing view! Building looks stunning! Food and service was ok. Place is spacious and there's plenty of tables.

Stefan 929

Excellent views of Jersey City and the sunset. Very good food offerings.

Vanessa Mo Nguyen

Was here on Sept 13, 2018 with 4 other girlfriends and have to give a big shout out to David the Bar Manager and Simon the Irish bartender! They were both exceptional in serving us ladies at the bar! Thanks for the outstanding service! I would recommend anyone visiting New York to definitely go to Pier A Harbour House as they have a great selection of food choices and I was ultimately excited about the gluten free calamari; which was amazing as I have a wheat allergy and usually don't have much options when I'm out. Next time I'm in New York, I would definitely come back for the great food and service! Thanks from the Canadians Vanessa , Brittany , Nikki , Everley and Allison

Jeffrey Campbell

Very nice historical building with magnificent harbor views. Good service. I tried two items from the menu Lobster Roll ($24!) and popcorn shrimp. Both below average. Tourist food.... Perhaps the fish tacos would have been a better choice.

Mike Casey

Great place to view the New York harbor and Statue of Liberty. Relaxed service where you can pick up drinks from the bar and grab a nearby wooden picnic table on the pier. Perfect for a group if you can snag outdoor real estate.

Jessica

Great view while having some fish n chips and summer beers for lunch on my first day in NYC! Staff was a bit dry, and didn't want to interact much but that was ok with me as I was just enjoying the scenery and my travel companion! Food was decent, fairly typical pub grub, no complaints I left with a full tummy! I'd go back for sure and for a nice quiet lunch with a view this is a great choice!

Kevin Knudson

We had a great time, food and service was okay. View was great.

Connor Anovick

I love this place. Great location, view, and space. The food is good, the service is quick, and it is not super expensive. Very good place to take out of towners.

Marcus

Perfect location nice view, excellent service. Get our order pretty quick. Reasonable price for a satisfying quality. All in all a full recommendation

Dan Keats

Great place to have lunch, and a beautiful view of new York harbor.

Hannah Lee

Love this place! Pier A is right on the water and has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I was surprised how big it was. If you’re sitting outside there is a section for table service but looks like everyone has to order food. I recommend the rose sangria!

Izzet Agoren

There are places on the river but few if any over the water. Very tastefully appointed with exquisite service. Truly breath taking views and escape. Skip trappy stone street with it bored, tired and stuffy staff and space.

yasminda young

I had the clam chowder and the Pier A Burger, and my son had the Hot dog. The food was pretty good but to me it was a little over priced. (even for New York) The service was great. and the setting was nice, we had a clear view of lady Liberty.

Elbert Guerra

Tried the new England chowder. . Perfect! A side of east coast oysters to go with it. The staff was friendly and the beer (Brooklyn lager ) was cold.

B B

Went there for an office party yesterday. The sliders were GONE in a second I didn't even get to try and the hummus was so good along with the fries. Onion rings were meh. I ordered a pineapple daiquiri because they didn't have amaretto sour I loved the crunch of it and wished it was even frozen. Then Mike my favourite God came through and found some amaretto. I haven't had amaretto in a whole so I may be biased but after a long day it tasted like Cupid's arrow and angels wings. He didn't just add sweet & sour but something else that made it sooo good and the cherries were so sweet. I loved it. The office party was a hit and everyone said they enjoyed themselves good and well. Will be back during the summer because I'm sure it's a happening spot after hours.

Robin Lipner

The new “ Branding” as The Oyster House removed table service and downgraded the menu options. No service, no napkins/condiments or water. These things must all be picked up by the diner, and are all in different locations. Makes for an awkward and difficult experience if you want to enjoy the outdoor seating. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive, and when I went up to ask about it, they did suddenly make it happen but without apology. The burger was cold and appeared to be precooked and heated up. Very very disappointed in the food which actually used to be very good. At least when it was overpriced before, you didn’t have to go to 3 different places to get what you need to eat it. The location is spectacular, but the food /service is just bad. Feels like a tourist trap now. Another one bites the dust

Ellen Desper

Really cool place. Great food. Great staff. Amazing view.

Bill Reintanz

Beautiful Manhattan winter night.

Michael Davidson

Good food. Good views of the Statue of Liberty while having a drink outside on a nice day. Service can be slow depending on season. Don't miss out on the oyster happy hour on Mondays.

G P

Inspired by the old oyster houses of New York and the fish market traditions of Lower Manhattan, The Oyster House at Pier A is a free-flowing space. It has plenty of big tables both inside and out, which are ideal for large groups, and the menu is full of straightforward, seafood options (mostly deep fried) that’s easy to share. The food is not the reason you’re coming here, most items are deep fried and somewhat greasy and obviously overpriced for what you get. The view is the draw with unobstructed view of lady liberty. I got the Crab cakes which comes with fries, doesn’t have much flavor and is pretty greasy, make sure to have plenty of napkins. You place your order with cashier and they will bring to your table (even if you are outside which is a plus!) Beautiful location to grab some drinks while watching the sunset

Natashia Shields

I had walked past this establishment many times for years before visiting for the first time recently. I was previously under the impression that this was a step above a casual bar/restaurant, but that is not the case. This place is huge, with a lot of standing and sitting room inside and of course outside. I went on a Friday night and was a little shocked that it was super packed, but that was definitely a plus for me. Drinks are a bit pricey (3 drinks came to about 60. But I guess it also depends on what you Order right), but you are also getting some good views. The music was good and the patrons were diverse. I haven’t tried their food, but the system they set up wasn’t clear. It seems they have windows you can order food from, but I didn’t notice anyone waiting for their food so I wonder if they bring the food to you after you find a seat?

Eleni Palmos

You need to serve yourself. It had been awhile since I had been here and was surprised to learn that it became more casual. The order of things now is that you order and pay at the bar. You take your drink from the bar. A server brings you the food you paid for at the bar. The food is very good standard waterside bar fare. You can get a shrimp taco as easily as a burger. The views are awesome and that makes coming here worth it.

aurelie delice

we are two 12 almost 13 year olds, we wanted to have lunch, we talked to the manager and they said yeah sure, then our waitress refused to serve us, even water... so they kicked us out! they have great root beer but that’s all. never going there ever again

Steve Richter

Waited over 2 hours for my food!!!! Was a beautiful place but too bad food situation was so messed up. I love it down here but don't plan on eating here ever again. I was so mad I threw the food away. It was stone cold. Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard Rich

Noisy like a frat house on wekeends. Not relaxing at all. Good if you want to pregame on cheap booze.

Arunrangsiwed the Sw Eden

Very great place to visit after the renovation.

Jayne Tissen

Place is mostly atmosphere, making it wonderful for drinks mostly. The table service was pretty good and honest, as we were warned about what not to order. Food was very salty, I probably wont come back here to eat.

Ayesha Says

Great service and a spectacular view of the harbour at sunset! We ordered a lobster roll and burger with old bay fries. There wasn’t much wait and the food was delicious though not really hot when served. We sat on the rickety benches outside and ate quickly. The staff is friendly and welcoming

Peter deLappe

I love this place, summer and winter. Outdoors are amazing, views from the end of the pier are spectacular. Beers are good. Wines are acceptable. Cocktails are generally good, if you get one of the good bartenders. Music is generally loud and occasionally there are bands. Selection is usually good to great, many of the bartenders and managers are DJs , some quite famous. Food I slightly above average. Raw bar is good. Fish and chips and lobster rolls are great. Other items are hit or miss. Food is not the reason to come here. The vibe is good. Bit of an after-work thing. Then transitions to pickup thing with heavy drinking. Then there are the late night regulars. Pick your scene.

Alma Lopez

Amazing food.. It has a amazing taste in every bite.. Great view of the ocean .

Alvan Leung

Weve been here quite a few times. Pier A always has good food and friendly staff. The outside eating spaces are great during the summer and the view of the harbour is second to none.

Diana j

Best place My freinds are very satisfaction

Jakub P.

Great staff, location and drinks. We went there because it was raining and we had to find a shelter. Im glad we went here :) We had a nice view, place was not busy during the day. I give it 4 "can I pay by card" questions out of 5.

Ali Vidler

I came here on a lunch outing with my company team. It was pretty empty for lunch time but we were able to sit quickly. We were trying to find a place that was not fully sun drenched and sat. We put in our orders and I wasn’t expecting much because the novelty to this place I thought would be that it’s on the water. I was happy with how great and fun the staff were. They were enjoying and joking with our table and brought out our drinks quickly. We ordered and the prices are a little higher than an average New York restaurant but not by much. I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality and presentation. I really loved the fries and I ordered a lobster roll with fries. Some got the fish and chips and salmon. Overall our food was great and we all enjoyed our meal experience!

Amy Young

With beautiful views of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty and delicious food, this place is absolutely fantastic. But what really makes this place special is the outstanding service, it really made my first trip to NYC special. Thank you Charlie and David!!!

FunkyCatLife311

Stopped for drinks waiting for ferry. Menu looked great, which we had time to eat! Our mixed drinks were fantastic and stagg very friendly

R Accordrum

Great place for food and drinks. Pleasant staff and very friendly people here. A overall good spot! Would recommend!

Ron Garrander

This place will knock your socks off. The decor is as breathtaking as are the views. Great place to drink, dine, and socialize. Always crowded and for good reason. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice. A place you'll return to again and again.

Enrique Alonso

GOod drinks, tasty food, wonderful view!!

Yifeng Wu

Been here a couple of time. Great place for group gathering. They offer a good selection of beer.

Diana Popa

Wow this is a place to try while in New York. Really nice views and cool atmosphere.

Melinda G.

I like coming here to get out of the office and grab a quick bite and drink. The menu is pretty standard and reasonably priced. Their seating situation is confusing - certain areas are reserved for ordering at the bar and others for table service, but they're all clumped together lutside.

Matt Oliver

Good burger, good service, good location

Edward Perkins

It’s big enough that you’ll always have space, it’s right on the water with amazing views, and it’s reasonably priced.

Mahima Srivastava

Good drinks and finger food. Service could be better. Waited for tables many times where people who came after us were seated before even though tables empty. Great views. Has pimms on tap in summer. Both outdoor and indoor seating.

Polly Anywhere

Awesome place to relax with yummy food (love sliders and fries) and drinks and breeze and perfect sunset

Sveta A

It’s a busy place with a picturesque view of the Statue of Liberty. It gets extremely busy during the summer months here. It is a great place for drinks with co-workers or friends. They have a lot of room for big companies. You can hang out inside, outside and they also have sitting area both inside and outside. The service is pretty quick. The drinks are okay, the food is typical bar food, a bit greasy though. I’ve been here several times with coworkers and friends.

Stav Eldor

Great place for sunny day

Paul Schroeder

The place was nice but getting our food was a comedy of errors. First, how do you run out of a featured menu item in the middle of the day? Then they lost the original order with staff telling multiple stories. The manager did comp our drinks but it wasn't what we wanted.

yuan wei

The students have no idea how good they have it. We went for breakfast and it was amazing - try one of the scrambles, homemade sausages and crazy delicious pastries. Kudos to the program instructors - your students have serious talent. Freshest, most delicious breakfast we've had in a long time.

Patrick Farrell

Can't say enough good things about this place. I often come here for sunset as it is definitely one of the best views in the city on the water. Great staff and the place is huge. Highly recommended.

Riley Kilgariff

Great outdoor seating and pitchers of cocktails are good, great views

Abigail Smul

Great place to come earlier in the day to watch a game or hang out with friends. Just be aware that if you want a table or space on a nice day, the place gets packed by around 3:30pm. Definitely worth it for an outdoor hangout when you don't have to fight the crowds (or if you don't mind doing that)

Duncan Schieb

One of our favorite local hang outs in Battery Park City. Great food, beer and atmosphere for all ages and groups.

Kryssie Beard

Pretty views! Lots of fried seafood. Fun atmosphere

GoGo Mamma

Beautiful setting for cocktails by the Hudson. Enjoy stunning sunsets with Lady Liberty views. Food could be better- a bit on the soggy and greasy side.

Adam Teckie

Great harbor views. Nice place to catch the sunset

Jon Stern

Beautiful spot on the water. Pricey drinks and bad food but still a great time.

Cheryl T

Great location, nice decor, and the food was good (although pricey). Lobster roll was really good as are their french fries with Old Bay seasoning. Other entrees we're good, too. Kids' menu is really limited, though - burger, chicken tenders, or plain pasta with butter. Our waiter was great - nice, attentive, but not intrusive. We had a view of the water. Will patronize again when we are in the area.

Alkis Sarantinos

There was only one female bartender and we were lucky to get her as she was amazing. Yakima was fun to talk to and made great cocktails. Next time in town we'll make sure to stop by again

AIDS Benedict

I left a sock here and when my friend Jack came back to get it for me, it was mysteriously gone. What in the world?

Tom Gerrity

There's just something missing at Pier A, and I cannot put my finger on what. As a bar, it is beyond serviceable--it is superb. Views of New York Harbor, Battery Park, and Battery Park City give the restaurant-length bar tremendous atmosphere and make every seat a good one. The food menu falls short, though. Caught somewhere among the urge to do seafood while also being inventive and yet having a bar-food-inspired menu, Pier A tries to please all but only befuddles. The blue cheese in the seafood cob salad was particularly disconcerting.

Nicolas Jacobi

It was extremely crowded when i got here but later it was not that bad anymore. I had a Kale Caesars Salad with beer. It was good but the prices are generally a bit high for me. Its not like the best place ever.

Mister Jon

A hopping vibe. Tap beer is about $9 each. Nice views of the statute of liberty. Full bar. Restrooms available. Loud music.

Anuj Sharma

Right in the middle of battery park and just next to the water - this place has some excellent views. They have outside sitting which can be extremely beautiful when the weather is good. The interiors are also very well done. We went there during a thunderstorm, but it was great inside. The food is good and the service is also prompt.

Eimutis Radzius

We had a wonderful experience at Pier A. We contracted a catered dinner for 25 of our wedding guests. The service was impeccable! The food got rave reviews from all of our guests. The view from the State Room was breath taking. The event manager and her staff were gracious, helpful, and responsive. Shout out to Stacie, Jason and Steve!

Brian Caball

Great spot for after work drinks and snacks. Poor vegetarian food choices, but the cocktails and beers are great.

Jade Amelia

Great food, nice staff, great time

Sin Dee

What a terrible experience. After spending thousands on an office party here, the bartender Kevin was absolutely cold hearted and rude to my coworker. Ruined the entire night for us. I would never recommend this place solely based on Kevin the bartender/only manager on staff. Disgusting, rude, and mean. Never again!!!

T

My go-to spot in NYC financial district. Expensive, but the view is worth every penny. I’ve had some amazing first dates here and great times with the bros. I wish there was a better IPA selection and slightly faster service.

Salome Nadiradze

Nice place but a little price. Oysters are too small :(

Anastasia Ioannou

Best location for sunset cocktail in NYC. Amazing views of statue of liberty. Great drinks. Plus a DJ on weekend nights.

So we came in and placed our order. Shortly there Gter we were informed they were out of crab cakes at noon on Friday. So we put,in something different for,our wives. Hues what, the wives good came but nothing else. 15 mi,utes we waited. We were told it was in the window, told it was on the way. Wait staff and bar tenders chose to lie rather than deal with the mess up. I gave a 2 because we happened upon someone who was a manager and a few minutes later we had the rest of the order. He was food, staff succked. He did comp our drinks. Not sure I would try it again. Staff needs to learn honesty and taking care of the customer.

Great food and atmosphere! Statue of liberty within eyesight! Waitstaff friendly and timely! Slightly pricey but to be expected for fresh seafood and ambience. Would absolutely come back when back in town or tell a friend.

Tom Langan

Little pricey, but it's a nice place great views and the location is perfect.

Dropped 120 bucks and had no service for it. I needed a napkin and had to get it myself. Food was good but there is literally no service, it's it's serve.

Being from Texas by way of Arizona, I decided to try the East coast oysters and Brooklyn Summer Ale. Was not disappointed!! Nice combination. Highly recommend it!!

Had our wedding reception in two of the private rooms upstairs. Overlooking the water, lady liberty and New Jersey. Great stuff. Pricey drinks but worth every penny for the view. The Brooklyn long hall larger especially brewed for pier a is nice.

There is a reason the letter A is in the name ... Perfect grade A

Great spot for summer happy hours. When the weather is nice, the windows open to the water. Since it's a huge venue, it never feels crowded. The food and drinks are great, but could definitely use some happy hour specials.

James Boland

Great View of the Statue of liberty and the water. Service is great, but the food is nothing to write home about and on the pricey side.

Jeffrey Langus

Extremely rude staff at every interaction from host to bartender to wait staff. All behaved as if they were doing me a favor by acknowledging my existence. Lose the tude dudes.

Colin Sullivan

Great bar and atmosphere. Food is average bar food. Lobster roll has tuna in it...

G J

Great terrasse by the water with view over the liberty statue

Stopped in for a post flight meal and a drink. Service was really good, food was decent. They had a really good menu. Loud, good music, lovely atmosphere.

Appetizers and sangria were really good. salmon was way undercooked, sent it back but once cooked it wad good and so was the salsa it came with. Corn bread was stale. Chips with fish and chips were dry and hard. Burger was good. Waitress was good also. Might go back for appetizers and drinks.oh the crab rolls were really good and for me to say that, it was good. WARNING ..WATER IN THE SALT AND PEPPER GRINDERS FROM RAIN, LOOK BEFORE YOU GRIND. A little disapointed but im not trashing the place.
