Consistently great food and service.
Nice cozy place. Reasonably priced good food on the upper East side just north of the museums
Thank you for a nice cup of water, you made my day❤️
Very cozy French restaurant. Great food and ambiance.
Yummy brunch, great service! We will be back.
Seafood Risotto was delicious!!!! I'd come back again just for that! My wife and eggs in a basket with smoked salmon and freshly squeezed OJ. Delicious!! Great gem on upper east side walking distance from Guggenheim museum!
A+ for effort. Come here for a meal that will certainly be memorable and intense. The servers here almost can't believe it themselves, how much flavor and richness they're packing into their dishes. I think there were like 14 specials. It's a small, quaint place that makes you feel like you're in France. Small but lovely outdoor seating. Two firsts for me here: Sweetbreads AND Foie Gras on the same day. Turns out I really don't like Foie Gras at all; plus ain't that junk illegal? The sweetbreads on the other hand, were exquisite.
What a gem. Not used to dining french. They are usually expensive and too exquisite. Was pleasantly surprised. Myalaysian curry shrimp and scallops were outstanding. Asparagus soup very special. Deserts and six stars. Menu was bigger and.more diverse than what I expected. And prices...well 105$ for two with one wine and one dessert but two appetizers and two main dishes. Service attentive and fast. Clearly a very popular place and a bit cramped in space but the table by the window felt like we were all alone. Chairs get a one star ..never thought I'd complaining about a chair...and secondary server a bit abrupt. Even tried to reach across all of my space for a dish from the person on my right. We will return.
Had a fantastic experience in here with my girlfriend. The food comes out fast and the service is just excellent. Prices are reasonable.
It was my best dining experience in my stay in New York. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. The skate was excellent as was the salad and chocolate flourless cake. Crowded but there was excellent service and the owner took person interest in our well being. The wine was very nice and reasonable.
My mum took us for dinner here and it was fine. It wasn't extraordinary, but it wasn't bad either. It was pleasant and food was good.
Small place which makes it very nice. Very attentive staff. I had a late lunch there. The lamb chops were excellent.
The ambience here is quiet and relaxed, a good place to relax and unwind. The prix fixe for either lunch or dinner here is wonderful. Everything was fresh and well prepared, not heavy on sodium which is very much appreciated when someone has a low tolerance for salt. For lunch they had several appetizers available, including a choice of three soups of the day, the butternut squash with carrot and the split pea with vegetables were amazing. There are several choices for the mains, the duck confit was one of the best I ever had, with the skin rendered but the meat still tender. The shrimp with polenta was very good, the shrimp were neither fishy nor rubbery. For dessert, the mini warmed homemade brownie with a spoon of ice cream was lovely, as was the fruit cup.
Excellent, very cozy.
Absolutely what it's supposed to be. Have the cheese souffle. Yum
Good food.
this is not french food, trust me!
Had dinner with a group of friends there recently. I enjoyed the intimate and novel atmosphere. It's a small dining facility. The food was excellent. There was a problem with the service however. A person organizing the group had asked the hostess to make sure that the waiter prepared separate checks for each couple. At the end of the evening, the waiter had not done as requested. He said he was not informed about the request. When asked to accommodate, he said it couldn't be done and became argumentative. The ensuing exchange with the person organizing the group detracted from the evening that we had enjoyed. A waiter, when asked to have the manager or similar person speak with us about the problem, responded that there was no manager.
It was great ! Service was amazing Great location a more sophisticated Crowd Intimate plays It had a very down-to-earth filing and great service That helped me feel really good with the great company I was with
WOW! AMAZING!!! I've been taking my high school french class (students) here every year over the past 7 years and it gets better and better every year. Food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Portions are more then generous, we all left stuffed! I am so grateful. This is such a special experience for my students. Could not ask for a finer dining experience! THANK YOU!!!!
Amazing restaurant
I love the whole staff here. It's a bit on the pricey side- but the salmon teriyaki is WELL worth it. A must try
Good French onion soup. The rest of the dinner seemed unremarkable.
great neighborhood classic french.
It's ok...
Good food, good service
Good prixe dinner
We had a shrimp dish and beef bourginon, we enjoyed the location atmosphere and food. Would go again.
Hi excellent
This should really be 4.5 stars; my bf and I had a pretty good brunch here this Sunday. We decided to try this place out because we didn't like the half hour wait at Sarabeths across the street. Everyone was nice and professional from the host who welcomed us with jokes and gave tips on how to guarantee getting a seat at any restaurant, to the wait staff. As soon as you're seated, you get some water and bread (baguette and raisin bread) with butter and preserves. We opted for the prix fixe brunch and got the French toast (the fresh fruit was a nice touch) with pomegranate champagne and the short ribs with coffee. We were both stuffed and forgot that the meal came with dessert but still opted to try the tiramisu. Everything was delicious and was adequate fuel for our day at the museum!! Few qualms: the menu listed toasted 7-grain bread, but the shirt ribs came with corn bread. Also, the menu on the website lists the brunch prix fixe at $18, but it's $18.95 on the menu in the restaurant. Would be nice if all menus are up to date.
Amazing !
I love the food here especially the duck confit !!!
Cozy French restaurant, great food and service.
Very nice. A little too small but the food is always great
I always love the place. The service was excellent, as always. Food portions appear to be smaller now. Goat cheese in phyllo was delicious but had much less cheese than phyllo. Chicken Milanese was only two small pieces rather than 2-3 large pieces we had in the past. Usually, it comes sizzling hot, but this time it is just warm. So, I gave 4 to my usual 5. But I still recommend this restaurant
This restaurant is no doubt one of the tastiest restaurants in the area. Whenever I visit this place I am truly happy. They hold their very high standard service and the topmost level of cooking they provide. You no doubt will love this place. Highly recommended.
Unimpressed with the food. The salad I had was doused in dressing. The salmon and cheesecake were just okay at most but pretty underwhelming
Tasty food, good sized portions
Wonderful lunch today...great menu, service and atmosphere . Will be back!
Great little French spot on the Upper East Side that is actually affordable. Menu is interesting and changes frequently, good is well balanced, price is right. Can't go wrong here
Excellent good at great price
Fabulous experience for a first visit to Pascalou. Food was superb... service exceptional (Nadine and Catalin)... Will definitely return!
Food was wonderful.
my favorite neighborhood bistro.
French restaurant. The food here was absolutely amazing, and tasty. The staff was courteous and attentive the entire time. We arrived just before the lunch crowd and got our seats but the space is intimate. I loved the place and would certainly go back. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because the desert menu was a bit predictable for a restaurant doing French cuisine. It would have been nice to see creme anglais with some of the options instead of the usual "ice-cream." If I'm paying good money for thoughtful French food, I'd like a change from the usual that's all. Otherwise, thumbs up!
The food was delicious and was brought to the table quickly!! They have a Prix Fixe menu available from 5-6:30PM that has many options- I chose the Peppers, Mozzarella, & Tomatoes with Pesto & Basil appetizer, the BBQ Angus Short Ribs as my entree, and the tiramisu as my dessert. All of the dishes I had were wonderful and the atmosphere was pleasant- a gem of. Carnegie Hill
Walked in without a reservation on a sunny Saturday and had a lovely brunch. Perfect omelette and excellent soft shell crabs. We will be back.
Lovely hidden gem in UES.. Great food and friendly service. The Thai stir fry is just top grade
One of the great places in Upper East side. Food is always delicious, service and ambiance are great as well. All this at very reasonable prices as well.
Very good food, friendly service and an excellent value early evening menu
As we're enjoying our fabulous dinner something catches our eye at the next table. We ask what it is. It's a giant Grand Marnier Souffle, if you want it you must order it 30 minutes in advance because that's how long it takes to make. We put our order in immediately and it did not disappoint. This restaurant was awesome, best discovery we made while visiting NYC.
Great for lunch
Nice Pice Fix Menu Duck was a good choice
(Translated by Google) Totally delicious !!!! The price is reasonable too !!!! Friendly and !!!! (Original) 완전 맛있고!!!! 가격도 적당하고!!!! 친절하고!!!!
Veery veery good
Excellent food and service in tight neighborhood bistro.
Our group had a wonderful lunch here today. They were very accommodating and the food was delicious.
Not a French restaurant despite what they say. Menu combines onion soup, guacamole, Thai shrimps and whatever they feel like. Food was pricey for what it was, and there was virtually no cheap option on the menu, even for appetizers. Waiter didn't smile one second. My "hot" tea was lukewarm.
Maybe it was because I was dining alone, but I was shown to a table for two on their hot, stuffy 2nd level. The table faced the restroom, practically in the restroom. The chairs at this table didn't match the rest of the restaurant- rickety card table chairs. My wine arrive in a filthy glass. Every table had a small flower vase - except the table I sat at - just as well since a vase would have obstructed my view of the restroom door. Appetizer was an attempt at country pate and was tasteless. The ravioli dish was unrecognizable. The strawberry tart was burnt. Service was cursory at best. People of the East side- this restaurant has seen better days and better service.
Enjoyed a delicious lunch with excellent service and relaxing environment. Finished with decadent dessert and capuccino.
Service provided in a genteel and attentive manner. Great food!
I simply loved their dishes. I always get great service there. The place is clean and the employees are always super nice. Would recommend to others.
Bad experience
What a delight great food great service a great evening out...
(Translated by Google) The best place in nyc for lunch. A menu of 24 usd, entree plate and dessert. Look at the photos and nothing else. (Original) El mejor lugar de nyc para almorzar. Un menú de 24 usd, entrada plato y postre. Miren las fotos y nada más.
Loved it. Food was excellent. Make sure you try their deserts!
Ate here for brunch on Sunday for two and was not a fan. Im an Eggs Benedict girl and I was not impressed. My bf wasn’t a fan either of his food selection. Decent service, but food was not.
(Translated by Google) Excellent meal (Original) Excelente comida
Great lunch specials. Tasty.
Very cozy. Service was good and food was great. I had the crab cake and I was very happy with it. It was mostly crab meat (many places uses too much filler). It cam with an arugula salad that went very well with the crab. My husband had the shrimp Verde and was pleased. For dessert, he had the Tiramasu... Nice way to end the meal.
Charming bistro that’s a chef’s restaurant. Outstanding menu and specials. Seems to get an older clientele. Never disappointed.
A nice and cozy place, great food and not expensive considering NYC prices. The staff was super cute and helpful, I would definitely go again. The place is not that big so if you're a larger group I would call and check first.
Everyone enjoyed their dinner.
Wonderful selection of eclectic small plates. A hidden gem.
Very small, some staff was super friendly and accommodating. Others were straight up rude. Food was okay but overpriced.
This is not French food at all!!! Food okay but wait staff needs training - very rude. My fish was very dry and my Soup very bland. You can do better than this spot. Sorry but never aagain.
Just discovered this petite treasure for lunch while wandering the neighborhood. Where else can you order an airy cheese souffle with ham. Liked it so much for lunch the first day, we came back again the next day. Does a nice take away business at lunchtime as well
Great brunch for a great price.
The Quality of Food is Absolutely Fabulous!!!
Really charming upper east side French restaurant. courteous staff, excellent authentic French cuisine.
A really nice french place in NY, and I am from Paris ! Well, everything was great, almost like in France, except the wine. But I've never found any good wine on this side of the Atlantic, and if you are from the U.S, I think you should to like it a lot.
Quaint, wonderful French bistro. Fine cuisine, good service, nice selections of wines by the glass. Some problems as the building is a historical landmark and needs some upgrading which has caused problems for the restaurant. Hopefully these will end soon as it is a neighborhood treasure
We had a cozy brunch here before an afternoon at a nearby museum. The duck confit salad and lamb dish were excellent and the chocolate mousse desert is big enough to share.
Small gem on the UES. Had a lovely brunch here. Going to try dinner next time. Very cozy place, good service and reasonably priced. Food is very delicious and looks awesome.
Foodie fabulous
Pascalou has been our favorite restaurant for 15 years. The very best restaurant! And we are fortunate to have them as our neighbors and friends.
French restaurant with well made dishes
Great place, reasonable prices Short ribs. Loved it.
Aconchegante, ótimo serviço e comida deliciosa a um preço super justo!
Delicious food, professional wait staff. Quaint, small dining area, but still comfortable. Portion sizes were large. The egg platter for lunch is. Simply fantastic. Sunny side eggs were cooked perfectly and the portion of ham was generous. My wife had the scallops, and she said they were delicious too. The desserts were large too. $95 for lunch for two, desserts and one glass of wine.
We ate here the first evening we were in NY - and enjoyed it so much that we came back on our third night in town. Delicious food, large portions, great service, better prices than many of the other restaurants in the area. Don't miss this place! Now, if I can just get them to open a restaurant in Santa Barbara...
Most delicious French foods! Desserts are soo sweet and beyond tasty. Though I always have to share as it's just too sweet! Very much recommend.
Cosy Parisian restaurant with delicious food and solid service. My crispy chicken scalloppini was tender and tasty, while Mom stated that her duck confit was one of the best she’s had in the city. Wasn’t a big fan of the bread pudding though. The twilight prix fixe is an amazing deal if your schedule can accommodate such hours.
This place is racist and stereo types there costumers. I entered the restaurant and waited for approximately 6 minutes to be seated. Shortly after i walked in 2 elderly white ladies walked in after me and they got seated right away. I asked if they realized that i was waiting too. After getting a table everyone who walked in after me got served water and received a menu. I had to ask for a menu and water was given to me with an attitude. I wondered if i did anything wrong upon entering, but i knew i didn't. I then asked to get a lunch special menu since they didn't give it along with the regular menu, the bus boy said they were busy and i have to wait. BTW everyone else got a lunch special menu. I then realized that they didn't care for me to be a costumer. I am a young 30 year old who walked in wearing scrubs since i work in the medical field. I didn't shave so i had a minor beard. I didn't think it would make a difference for professionals to treat there costumers appropriately but unfortunately this place got a big huge disappointment in my book. I would like the manager to know that there staff is unprofessional and racist to there costumers and they have just lost a good tipper who BTW works right around the corner. I will make sure that my staff and others i know will not eat there anymore unless i get an apology from the staff and manager.
The locals like it here, service is very good and the food speaks for itself.
Charming, cozy, small French restaurant with delish, well prepared, beautifully presented food. Moderate prices for the neighborhood.
Quiet, clean and attentive staff. Great place for intimate brunch or a first date.
Good Friend
Fantastic food. I'm not very familiar with French food, but hope to be after eating here! Very polite and helpful staff and a good range of dishes and specials
Absolutely on our list to visit frequently....what a jewel stop!
Amazing and Delicious
Firdt time we came there it was wonderful, large portion of foie gras on nice salad. When we came recently, menu changed and no more large portions of foie gras. Attempt to cleverly disguise meager portions. Some of the mussels tasted bad, lamb was tpught to chew, deserts bland and banal. This place went down fast and is no longer worth your visit.
The food was delicious. The best dish we ordered was the Croque Monsieur. The one cold sandwich we ordered tasted very stale, as if it was made a day or two ago. The desserts were delicious
A great place with ambience. A bargain fixed price restaurant with many choices.
Near the Guggenheim Museum. Found this French restaurant online, Pascalou, with an early dinner Pre Fixe menu. Rushed over without a reservation or calling about anything - luckily got the last table downstairs**. Do advise you get a reservation! The extensive menu had some amazing sounding dishes, but we stuck to the more limited pre fixe early dinner menu. So for about $26, we had an appetizer plus entree plus dessert. Everything was prepared and cooked perfectly. The appetizers were listed as trout terrine [mine], asparagus wrapped in cheese and bacon. etc... not mentioned but they came on a big plate of salad greens. I had the salmon cooked perfectly to my request of medium rare - tender inside and slightly crisped outside. Two others with me had the duck and didn't let me get a taste - exclaimed wildly about it.
tiny and crowded - nevertheless, they offer a large, assorted menu which is almost always uniformly delicious.
Good value price fixe dinners if you order before 6.30pm. . Friendly neighbourhood restaurant
Great taste with loads of greens
Great prix fixe lunch and chocolate souffle.
If you're looking for the authentic charm and amazing food of a cozy Parisian restaurant than this is your place for sure. The chef is a master and the ambience like stepping into Paris.
Fun little cozy French bistro on the Upper East Side. The eggs/omelettes were the highlights at our table. Grand Marnier French Toast was nothing to write home about. The Prix Fixe brunch menu at $20.95 for a cocktail, entrée and dessert is an unbeatable steal!
Wide variety of French-based menu with tables shoe-horned into samll street-level space and low ceilinged upstairs. Don't always honor reservations. Early Bird pricing and timing good if you missed lunch.
I love the food here. If it's warm enough to sit outside, go for it.
Very good, excellent service and delicious desserts
Charming small bistro. Good brunch Prix fixe. On parle francais ici.
