This Restaurant is classified in the category of Mexican restaurant.
Food here is really good. Reasonably priced with pretty good service. It's also BYOB. Great spot for lunch or a quick bite.
Wow - it is a small place hidden in midtown. Very casual, very small. Nice staff, good indie music and super good food. Def coming back
Hole in the wall, but the tacos were amazing. Fresh and flavorful ingredients, and plenty of choices for even the pickiest eaters. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Definitely coming back.
Good
Great customer service. Timely service at its best.
I think it was delicious!! I got a burrito and they have 2 sizes perfect for me cause I can't ever finish burritos so the regular size was just right for me. And the carnitas was great! I would def go back
Some of the best street tacos in Manhattan. What an excellent little place to get some street tacos in a great atmosphere. The variety of meats is excellent and three taco special is great for dinner or lunch! I ordered a set of carnitas, al pastor, and chorizo tacos. It also comes with beans and rice. All of it tastes wonderful and there wasn’t much talking among my group because we were all too busy enjoying our food. You can also get a classic Mexican soda or classic Mexican coke or sprite. The service is great and they take care of you! Also, guac is very good! Give this location a try!
Maybe I just dont get "tacos". To be fair I dont really get the ramen craze either. The food is good but not sure I think it is amazing. The flavors are muted and the flavor combinations are not wowing either. The best taco I had there was the Korean taco which is ironic to say the least. But I will say you need to try the Tamarind soda. What does it taste like you ask...I follow that up with this question: "describe what cola tastes like to someone who has never had it" go ahead I'm waiting.....
I loved the taste of these! Very authentic. I also like that they have a rewards program.
Nice place, but very small with limited seating. The food is always fresh and you can see most things being made over the counter right in front of you. Chill staff, fast service.
Really tasty, $4, $4.50, good assortment. Shrimp, carnitas, mole were all well prepared. Small, clean, friendly, quick. Total seating must be less than 15 at a corner, a u-booth, tiny tables and counter. Likable!
Great little taco spot with specials, lots of hot sauces, and friendly staff.
Very very tastey! I highly recommend this place. Service is very good as well!
Tasty tacos for New York, chorizo special was good, al pastor was delicious. We ate there twice in a week.
Small, limited seating, clean. The food is good, flavorful. I had the taco combo. A choice 3 tacos (mix or match), includes a small side of beans and rice. I had the pork w/pineapple, chorizo, and beans with a sprinkle of cheese. That and a bottle of water was $14. The tortillas were good, more dry/firm then normal so it didn't fall apart. There was one w/cactus and onions (next time). They also have burritos and salads.
Salty food. Ordered a burrito on a plate the meat was salty and mixed with onions just a small portion of cheese the rice tasted bad. I’d rather have chipottle that order from this place again.
Little hidden place with tasty Mexican dishes that will leave you wanting seconds after feeling stuffed. The Red pickled unions are so good. I never get tired of the shrimp enchilada with green sauce.
Solid Mexican food chain, good attention to detail and quality. each order is made fresh.
Oh... my... god... their mole tacos are AMAZING. Actually, all their tacos I tried are amazing. Hahah. Great neighborhood gem!
Simple space for simply delicious tacos.
Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, plus good lunch and taco specials. Affordable, great food, friendly staff.
Really nice food
I got the 3 taco combo with rice and beans and chose carnitas for all 3. I was expecting steak but they were pork. Gotta say these little things were action packed! Pork carnitas, cilantro, lime, hot salsa, pink pickled onions (I think?). Total was 12.87 plus whatever you decide to tip. Despite not even getting what I expected, it was still pretty incredible. I give this place a solid 5 star rating.
Good tacos but The store front looked closed, the two girls inside were blasting obscene rap so loud that the couldn’t hear me nor I hear them when ordering for my 1 yr old and 3 year old. They seemed annoyed to have customers. I stood waiting to order for over a minute before they acknowledged us(the only customers in the joint at 12:30PM). The music was on a phone so tinny, irritating and stressful so we ate our food on the sidewalk outside. I noticed three more customers who had the same strange experience. One of the three tacos I ordered was what I actually ordered so repeat your order. Higher new employees or go out of business. I
Great burrito, friendly staff!
Decent burritos, reasonable prices
Got here at 11 when they open. Ben waiting 20 minutes and the doors still locked for preparation.
Kick-ass tacos in a neat little place. Chorizo and Korean are both really good, didn't get to try the Al Pastor unfortunately. Definitely worth a stop for a quick bite.
Great location and good food.
One of those hidden gems.
One of favorite places to go to for lunch
This place has really good food but I eat Mexican food enough to know that they aren't my best. However, they are close enough to being exceptional. Give it a try, you will enjoy it.
Very tasteful food!!!
I love food, i love trying new food in nyc and I constantly order. This place has good tacos I would rate them about a B+. However if your're hungry and what them delivered this is not the place. I've ordered twice with them. Both times it …
Love this small taqueria. Authentic delicious tacos. Highly recommend visiting this place and enjoying some tacos
Small place. Plenty of choices. Friendly staff Clean and bright. Down a few steps.
The food in incredible! I absolutely loved my quesadilla. I hear the burritos are fantastic as well!
Delicious food for a great price. Its never to crowded because a large portion of their business is delivery. I opt for the burrito every time.
Cute place. Great tacos. Be sure to try the korean..
An awesome Mexican food place that is a hidden gem. Finding it was fairly easy. The food was ready quick and the flavors are great!
This is not real Mexican tacos
Normal price for tacos. Good ingredients where you taste the difference.
Bad picture, good food. Staff super friendly. Thanks!
Whent to this taco place when they first open my Fam and I whent to give it a try no so great. Omg .we when again last night to give them a second chase .tacos where terrible cold as a freezer spend …
Fresh and unique. Clean and courteous. And DELICIOUS!!!
Great Mexican food, original, not a chain. Good flavours, really nice and quick staff. The place is tiny and easy to miss, bit trust me, you don't want to miss it. -1 star for not being spicy enough (sauces were available, but yeah...)
Pains me to say this but I don’t even see how this food is any better than Chipotle! Not very flavorful, charge you extra for different size burritos but clear the size doesn’t change. Disappointed with the food.. two stars for the quick delivery.
Best Burrito I ever had. Barbacoa meat was delicious and the meat portion was quite generous. They will be seeing alot more of me for lunch
Good, basic tacos. Walk down, hole in the wall but a good vibe.
I love this place. The food is always delicious and the price is awesome. Great place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner. I always get the papa y raja's enchiladas because I'm a vegetarian and I absolutely love it. @traveleen_gurl
Great place to go if you're craving Mexican.
I love the vegan options
Food is tasty but portions are a bit to small for the price.
The tacos and burritos are amazing, and the place has a really chill atmosphere.
The food is pretty good. The potato and pepper burrito is great. The guy who works the counter is awesome.
Good that they have vegan options, but it’s poorly executed - I had the beyond burger ground mince beef taco and it was so dry. Mole sauce is good. Staff were lovely, but some of the recipes need revising
Great tacos and lots of different combinations of tacos possible. The staff were very nice.
Portion sizes are a little small for the price, but worth it for the quality in my opinion.
Great burritos!
Great food, reasonable prices, and a very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Hidden gem. VERY hard to find - poor signage. It's below street level also - so you have to look down to see it. Tacos are awesome though, best I've ever had.
Awesome little taco place that not too many people know about. Highly recommend to go here
We had three tacos and 2 enchiladas with green sauce. The tacos were great and flavorful. The green sauce on the enchiladas was also good. The two guys inside were really nice and even brought us some chips.
Delicious food. A hidden gem in the neighborhood for sure.
Very neat and small restaurant in the city. The burrito was pretty filling but the Hibiscus tea was kind of so so. The restaurant can get kind of warm, especially if you've been walking around.
Oh man! I love Oaxaca! This is the fourth location that I've eaten at, and I get the same quality of service and food no matter what location I'm at. I love the 33rd St location because it's tucked away, and every time I bring someone here for lunch, it feels like I am sharing something super secret and special, and then get to surprise them with the info that there is probably one near where they live also! The burritos are filling, but the real deal is the 3 taco special because they have so many good flavors, you can pick and choose and never go wrong.
Stumbled across this little gem by chance. Delicious and fresh food served by genuinely kind and authentic staff. A great experience.
The food was absolutely horrible, portion size was a joke. Meat was so dry that I had to take a sip after every bite. Overpriced and overrated. You'll find better tacos at taco trucks or any legitimate Mexican restaurant. Don't waste your time or money here
No frills taco place. Only a few small tables, quick service. Mexican beers available by the bottle.
Great place with tasty authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices.
Solid for burritos, tacos are surprisingly lacking.
The chicken enchilada with verde sauce was on point, but the real star of my meal was the esquites. Seriously considered going back during our visit just so I could get more! The homemade lemonade is refreshing--just like the staff. Definitely recommend this place!
Great atmosphere and excellent food. One of the best tacos I've ever tried.
Delicious and inexpensive street tacos! I really liked that you could mix and match the different meats because I always want to try several and mix it up every time. They were accommodating when my brother wanted to get the meal deal but doesn't like rice and beans, they gave him other options to substitute. Their menu isn't overwhelming and everything I have gotten there has been warm and delicious! You will have to wait about 7-10min, but they come out nice and hot!
Food was good here, friendly service. I want to like this place but it's too expensive
So good.
Great tacos!
Neat restaurant, with obvious passion from the staff who works there, healthy Mexican food, beautiful colors..can be a bit to sophisticated for kids taste.
Staff is so great me and the family definitely love it ❤️
A bit expensive and the staff are way too busy (short staffed maybe?). Asked for a drink while dining in and was told to "hold on a moment" which I did but ended up finishing my food and no longer needing a drink.
Great food. Not too expensive. They have tables and AC was on. Perfect for quick summer stop.
Staff was nice. Place is small so have to grab a seat quickly. Had 3 tacos for lunch el barbacoa was very tasty. Was disappointed that the carnitas was not more juicy and flavorful. Al pastor was good.
No hablaba español el que me atendió, the tacos are ok, don't expect anything great, the service is good, food is not bad but I wasn't sure if it was Mexican or Indian food, the tacos had so many spices that my wife and I couldn't taste something like a taco, I hope to find some decent tacos in NY one day.
A somewhat hard to find taqueria in a basement on the south side of 33rd street. Look for the logo that looks like a fist holding a taco. Food was good, especially the guacamole, and portions are decent [4 stars]. Prices are respectable for the area [5 stars]. Service was efficient and polite [5 stars]. Will definitely go back to try more of the menu.
If you don’t look down at the right time you’ll miss this place. Awesome place and helpful service. Food is tasty and service is fast. 3 sampler taco dish works and nachos with guacamole is tasty. Limited amount of seating but surely worth checking and trying this place.
Had the 3 Taco combo .. excellent, just the right amount of spice, recommend.
Ehh is the best way I can describe this place. Now trying to be harsh but the tortillas were almost as dry as the meat. And let's say the meat was dryyyy. Probably won't go back.
Beautiful food and nice service.
It is a great place but for me the food is not good as you think it lacks of taste. Their best taco it is carnitas.
Amazing authentic tacos. Real Mexican food! Small little place, great food!
Great place to come if you haven’t yet! Burrito didn’t fall apart in my hands and the tacos were very neat too. They plenty of seating, a bar and 4 tables. You cant really beat the price. Its cheaper than most taco joints I have been to in this area. *The staff were very nice to wrap our order to go**
Amazing little spot. For ten bucks, the mole is pretty dang good. Will be coming back.
It’s perfectly fine. Good place for a light meal. However, cold pineapple (and not grilled pineapple) on tacos al pastor feel like an afterthought garnish.
Working nearby, I so want this place to be better than it is. There aren't too many great Mexican options within walking distance of where I work. My first experience here wasn't too bad, the beef burrito and esquites I got we're okay. Took my boss here for lunch a few months later, got myself a salty mess of a chorizo burrito, and he ended up with two sad tacos and a half filled takeaway container of rice and beans. My burrito had maybe... one mouthful of tomato / salsa in it? Couldn't taste anything else but salt. Could have been an off day for the prep staff, maybe the kitchen hand didn't spread out the ingredients enough? This place has so much potential though, cool location, hole in the wall decor, it just doesn't have the food to back it up right now though.
We had 3 different items on the menu, the ingredients were fresh. It is a small space but very friendly service. Nice vegetarian options as well as meat selections. I look forward to going back again.
good hole in the wall authentic mexican
Service is friendly. They have pretty good lunch specials. The place itself is easy to miss because of the minimal signage.
This place is a hidden gem! It's very cosy and almost a little hidden. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is great. They also have a collection of hot sauces you can pick from to have with your food which I think is a nice touch. I would recommend their tacos to everyone.
Little hole in the wall place with great food for a very good price.
Small and quaint, yet very tasty. Very friendly.
Very quick way to get in and out. Mainly a take-away restaurant in my opinion. Food was plain awesome. Highly recommended.
Delicious!! We had tacos, quesadilla and guacamole. All very tasty. Even the side dish... Rice&beans...yummy. Very nice staff. Will come back.
Nice little fast Mexican eatery in a basement, great for cheap eats.
Little hole in the wall joint with great tacos! When looking for it while walking, don't forget to look down! Also, the staff was very nice. Clean establishment.
Great food. A little expensive for the portion sizes but the quality makes up for it.
Great burritos. My go-to when I'm in the area. Tacos are flavorful too, but they're single wrapped and tend to get a bit soggy.
Their service is better than their quesadilla, but it'd recommend it for a quick bite. Wouldn't take my mother in law there though.
Small place but the original style tacos we're great. They had a Korean BBQ taco, chorizo taco, and about 10 others. They had a deal 3 tacos along with rice and beans for $11.99. staff were great
