REVIEWS OF Mission Chinese Food IN New York

richard bultitude

The most fun we had at a restaurant when we visited New York. This place oozes character whilst still offering great service and without being pretentious. The food is explosive - the Mapo Tofu just has to be experienced. If anything it's almost too intense, depending what you order of course. It's not quiet dining, with R&B hits playing throughout, and the lighting is pretty crazy but it all somehow works.

Daniel Hetteix

Amazing and unorthodox blend of flavors, almost all of which are absurdly spicy. Everything is family-style, so grab whatever interests you and prepare to share. Great for vegan friends too, as most menu items (and even the ones not marked) can be made with vegan alternatives. A bit expensive, but worth it for the unique flavors on offer. Almost five years on, the crowds have begun to die down (especially early in the evening) making this an amazing spot to chill out and chat... highly recommended.

Noah Boeckmann

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Perfect food, it creates so many unique feelings and tastes, interesting cocktails, nice atmosphere. Stunning.

The service is really great!! But the food is just ok in my opinion.. I actually like the loud music.. some reviews don’t.. but it gives this place its own authentic vibe. Would come back to sit at the bar for drinks but I’ll pass on eating here again.

OMG! This is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been in NY! The ambiance was great! Out waiter was amazing! And the food was out of this world. We had the crab fragrant rice and was delicious!! The fried country lamb was amazing!! A must try! Even the greens were amazing the flavor of everything was perfection! Those 2 plates are def enough for 2 we didn’t finished them and also ordered an appetizer the wings... now let me tell you we eat spicy and we were warned that it was spicy but we didn’t think it was that spicy unless you enjoy your mouth on fire!! Then order them otherwise stick with the other items in the menu. We will def. be back to try everything else in the menu. Amazing chef! Keep it up!!

Not a great place. Spiced Pork was over cooked. Warm tiger salad had way too much soy sauce. Ramen was good but average. Dishes seemed like a mess of a lot of things resulting in a subpar meal. Service was terrible. Didn’t even know who our waitress was... kept us waiting for the check until another, more pleasant, waitress asked if we wanted it. It’s too bad we did hear good things, but this place was not for us.

Oi X

It very ok.. but the music is crazy loud inside and the food mediocre

Julie Chesler

The food is great. You have to love spice of you go. The crowd is mainly hipsters if you enjoy that you will love it here. The waitstaff is cool and friendly, fun foodie night out.

alicia skehan

It’s not a restaurant. It’s a club. The food is just OK. I preferred the old venue.

Michael Ross

A first time visit at this restaurant with a group of friends on an evening out. Actually, all the the dishes we tried left a good impression on me. We ordered several different things and each thing I tried was absolutely wonderful.

Scott Wolfe

Great food, but awful atmosphere. Had to make a reservation weeks in advance and was expecting a similar experience to the last location. Instead it felt like a club. Music is so loud it's almost impossible to hear the waiter let alone talk. That being said I really liked the food, the crab fried rice was great, but I couldn't imagine going back when it was that unpleasant to be there.

Katherine Liu

The menu and entries were definitely thought out and well prepared, but it’s just not my taste. It’s like very western Chinese/ Szechuan style, lot of cumin & dill. Maybe I just don’t have the right palate nor would I crave for that style of cooking and dishes, like the salt cod fried rice was just sad, can’t even taste the salt cod fish (maybe I’m just not use to fried rices topped with cilantro) The fried chicken was Ying yang flavor, then the dill was over powering. Least I can say I tried it and I still don’t understand what the hype it.

The food was pretty good, especially the sashimi, but I am moved to write this review because of the insanely bad service. The experience of a restaurant is not just about the food, in my opinion. The two hosts were wildly rude to our party of 3 ladies for no reason at all, just from the word go and seemed almost amused we had a reservation. My friend asked for a seat past the crowded bar area and was told "We can put you on a list" and I said, "we have a reservation, I don't understand, what list?" and the man told me with an eye-roll: "Everyone here has a reservation". I would have left at that myself but my friends wanted to eat there. Then, our waitress never arrived, we had to actually chase someone else down and then she was obviously very annoyed someone else helped us and complained "I don't like other servers in my section." As if that was our problem? it was truly bizarre, as was the attempted delivery of TWO things we didn't order. I love restaurants, used to work in a couple and regularly seek out buzzy new places to try but man, no fried rice is worth being treated like that. When we were trying to leave, the waitress was otherwise occupied on a laptop at the bar, maybe checking around for a new job? She was not pleased we had to pull her away to process our credit card. We left a 10% tip because hopefully the bussers get tipped out but I would have rather left nothing. Never again.

This place used to be special, and now it’s just solid. They’ve changed their menu, meaningfully cut down the portion sizes, and kept the high prices. The salt and pepper lamb rib tip used to be one of the best dishes in the city. Now it’s been changed and doesn’t come with the creme fraiche or the same pita that used to make it amazing. I think they gave up and are just coasting on their reputation. It’s too bad. This used to be a place I would put at the top of my recommendation list to friends. Hard to justify going out of your way for it now.

Samiur Rahman

Good food. Good vibe

André Capaldi

Seriously! I have been to this place twice and have had some of the best meals of my life. The flavours and uniqueness of the dishes was truly incredible. I would recommend ending a cute day on the LES here. <3

Vadim Iablokov

Had the Kung Pao cauliflower and it was amazing. Spicy, salty and sweet. Perfect when paired with their rice. Also had the peanut noodles. They did not deliver at all. Overcooked noodles paired with a thin broth vaguely resembling peanuts. We left most of the noodles on the table when we left. The decor and music made me feel like I was in a strip club. It distracted from the food and made the entire experience feel cheap. If there were strippers I'd give this place a higher rating. Overall pretty dissapointing experience.

Sebastian Wilner

I love the vibe of this place. Solid food as well. If you're brave ask for the chicken wings

Isobelle

If u like spicy, u are in for a treat

Ashley Stuart

The servers are kinda mean but I’m a sub so I like it. The food is incredible and people are cute.

John Breining

Everything about this place is cool. My go to when showing people something new!

Pélagie Zé

Sorry guys, I gave it a try. But I got food poisoned. I've been there 2 days ago and ever since I'm still in bed having a hard time. Can't recommend that restaurant due to my sickness and the bad service.

C'est Possible

Really good, good testy, good price, you do try that ! 5 stars ⭐️

Gabriella Aguirre

Was really excited to love this place but I was a bit disappointed. We had the lunch tasting menu for $35 for 2 people. It included a noodle dish, a tofu dish, wings (these were good but v spicy), fried rice cod, and a green bean dish. Overall everything was just ok. Cod fried rice is presented as a big lump of rice with a few sausage bits mixed in, barely fried, i was bummed! our bill came out to $90 for two people, glad I experienced this but I don't feel that it lived up to the hype

Natalie Dabelstein

We booked Mission Chinese months ago, and had been really looking forward to it. The food absolutely surpassed our expectations... the flavours, textures and consideration put into each dish was wild. I can’t even express how delicious everything was. Not only was the food and wine great, but our servers were just so accommodating, sweet and friendly. The host/sommelier/GM who’s name we didn’t catch, gave us a list of other places we should go to while on our stay in New York - completely unprompted - and sent us a dessert with a candle in it for my partners birthday. It’s little things like this that made our night so special!

Samuel Eccles

Was recommended this by a friend who had been to the San Francisco version. We dropped in a 10.45 with out a reservation. Was suggested to have 3 dishes but we ordered 2 and a small rice which was MORE THAN ENOUGH. Food was generally very spicy we which liked but do be aware if you aren’t good with spice. Price was okay, fairly expensive but that’s New York hay!

Alexandra Buesgens

Came here because it was highly recommended. We ordered the water pickles, hamachi tartare, chicken egg roll, and fried chicken. Water pickles was just kimchi in a bowl of water with chili infused ice cubes? To be fair it is as described, my fiancé picked this one without fully reading the description. We picked at it but couldn’t enjoy it. Hamachi tartare was cooked cubes of fish (so...not a tartare) and the fish tasted extremely fishy and old. The egg roll was actually decent, but the ground chicken inside it was dry and kind of crumbled apart and fell out of the egg roll wrapping. The fried chicken order came out maybe 10 minutes after we placed the order. If you’ve ever cooked fried chicken you’d know this isn’t possible, so it was likely sitting under a heat lamp and flash fried before serving. It was extremely bland and unseasoned, hardly crispy, and covered in a mountain of cilantro, something that should be listed on the menu. I’m not allergic, but it tastes like soap to me and ruins dishes. The chicken was edible only after picking off all the cilantro and soaking it in the cup of hot sauce they give you. It was served with a salt bomb of a side salad of radish and cucumber, we couldn’t even finish it. In the past 6 years my partner and I have been together we’ve had some good, some amazing, and plenty of “meh” meals, but we both agreed this was by far the worst we’ve experienced together. I’m not a review writing person, but the food was so bad I couldn’t help myself. Also if you have epilepsy, avoid the bathrooms, as the lights strobe when you dry your hands. (tried to add video but couldn’t.)

Lisa Nakamura

Utterly delicious food. Lobster fried rice one of the best tasting things ever. If you’re comparing this to a normal Chinese restaurant you will find it overpriced and weird. However, compare this place to Momofuku or to any other fine dining and it makes more sense. Decor is vintage Menard’s. The music veered between the Pointer Sister and Ginuwine. It was the best meal we had in NY.

tinribbs

Had the wings and lobster fried rice. Wings were hot but tasty while the rice was a little bland. Phil Khallins cocktail was great

michael mullahey

Wow, not your typical Chinese. This place is load and decor is different. Great crowd and fun to eat foods

Daniel Callahan

One of the best chinese restaurant in Town.

ORB

I loved Chef Bowien's work on Mind of Chef. So I went during NYC restaurant week. Right away get the mapo tofu and wings. My favorites and St of the menu. The vibe is cool and crazy. The enthusiasm of a young crowd with great tunes and a great staff.

Félix Tremblay

Ambiance, service, and food was bad

colette peters

Food was unexciting. Peanut butter noodles we're good, but very spicy.fried chicken was dull, cabbage dish was almost inedible, brisket was watery. No toilet paper in the bathroom.

Eli Liu

An Asian fusion place, do not expect to get any authentic food. But in general, I liked it. Lobster fried rice was my favorite dish. Music is very loud, so it is not a nice place to talk with friends.

Steven Huynh

Tried this spot in the past with a friend and I am addicted ever since. I liked the awesome vibes and flavorful dishes and drinks. They never disappoint.

Rex Kings

Great food! Loved the HOT wings! The lobster coconut rice was delicious!

Sara Sherr

Incredible experience. The food was unbelievable and the waitress was so nice!

Marie Claire Melis

Wow! Let’s start with the cocktails... They are simply divine! Then the food... everything Inate I loved! The armosphere was noisey and dark so think about who you are taking here ahead of time. You have to be into it. We were!

Peter Erdelyi

The music is extremely loud, the service is okay, but the food... the food is amazing. Try the sweet lobster fried rice, the Kung Pao Pastrami, the spicy Long Beans and the pickled peanuts, they are all amazing, unique. Well worth a visit.

Seth guiñals-kupperman

Lobster & coconut fried rice and whatever lamb dish they have on the menu. Also green tea noodles. Everything else looks interesting but isn't as good as it sounds. It's also incredibly loud in the opinion of anyone over 31.

Renee Sluzhevsky

Kind of overrated. We all loved the impossible dan dan noodles but they upsold us on the prime rib, which was $80 and boring/bland. Our waitress was courteous but the host at the front was shockingly rude to our group for no reason. Also, my cocktail was really bad - all tequila and blue curacao.

Jay O'Meara

Our meal was exceptionally good. The Lamb Ribblets were crazy spicy but perhaps one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever had. The bathrooms downstairs could use some work, but the trippy hallway is worth the walk down the stairs.

Marie C

Service was fine but everything was waaaay over seasoned. Ordered four dishes and each was nearly inedible. Maybe it was a new kitchen staff or just a bad night, but for their price point, it’s unacceptable.

Rafael Yau

Love this place, this Asian inspired restaurant have really good Chinese food. Some dishes are mouth watering. Usually it's not packed but on weekends you could wait for about 15 minutes to be seated. Staffs are nice and friendly. Atmosphere feels cozy and comfortable. Overall great restaurant will be coming back with co workers.

Matt Knapp

Adventurous take on some familiar dishes elevate americanized Chinese food to new heights. For me this menu is in the sweet spot between familiar comfort and exciting new experiences. The broccoli beef brisket was a major highlight, loved the turmeric lamb rice. Kung Pao pastrami is a must. What an experience, so fun!

Colin Hoare

The wings did not disappoint! Crispy, spicy goodness!

Zurich Eats

Love this place! We tried their safran lamb rice - served with ginger, yogurt and their rice cake was something just delicious! The portions are huge, so order accordingly. I will definitely go there to try out other options.

Heidi Small

First meal in Chinatown (on the edge really) and not disappointed. Generous portions to share. Great heat whilst maintaining flavour. Great wine list. Will go again.

Tiana Giacomazzi

I always get excited about coming here. Be prepared for some spice!!

James Weaver

Been wanting to eat here for a very long time and very glad we did. Amazing food and atmosphere. Didn't taste anything that was less than brilliant. We got a seat next to the fish tank which helped with feeling a bit more intimate. Would recommend a visit.

Niamh Parsley

Love their tasting menus. The fried chicken is dangerously spicy.

Max C Lee

Hyper trendy, can sometimes feel overdone and inaccesible. But honestly the food is incredibly good, especially for the price. Great vegan options. Tingly sichuan pepper is in everything. It’s great. Good cocktails.

jessi wade

Dank. I'm so full. I wanted to keep eating but I couldn't. Fun atmosphere. Yum!

Definitely Breakable

Had the BEST time here! Food was amazing! I've lived in New York for a few years now and Mission Chinese is a cut above the rest. Had the last prime rib of the evening with tableside service performed by the chef. Too many other delectable dishes to list. Unforgettable!!

Baldomero Cutler

This spot is one of my favorites! Fair prices, large portions and the staff members are regularly kind.

Molly Hazen

I've been wanting to come here for a while, was excited to finally make it over here... Was extremely disappointed. The ambiance was fine. The staff was... Okay. Once we sat down and ordered nobody came to check on us again until we asked for the check. The food was nearly inedible. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but I believe there shouldn't be a "wrong thing" on a menu. Not to mention all the food came out at once, about 5 minutes after we ordered, which makes me think nothing is made to order. The icy pickles appetizer? Literally just a bowl of housemade pickles with ice on top. It made no sense and we dug through the ice to eat the pickles. We also got the vegan mapo tofu, completely inedible. All you tasted was schezuan. There was nothing else, it was extremely overpowering and we couldn't eat it. Where is the balance? The only saving grace was the "spicy" peanut noodles and the tap water they served us. We thought we were crazy, so we asked the couple next to us if they liked their food and they said "No" as well! Needless to say, we won't be coming here again. Bummer. We were fans of Danny Bowien. Don't get caught up in the hype.

Zoe Hamilton

The food was tasty and kept me curious to know what that last ingredient was. This is not something you could make at home unless you had a magical skill of knowing what random things taste good together. Not pretentious but personally I thought it was overpriced. I think the michelin star may have taken effect on the prices.. check out the hallway to the bar in the basement if you're a Twin Peaks fan. I also would definitely go back to the basement bar!

Treesa Ouseph

Really a quite delicious meal. For 45 per person for two people, you get to try a bit of everything. The service was great and food was brought out really quickly.

Johanna Picciano

This place was recommended by many friends but did not meet our expectations. We asked for not spicy food, and two of them were so spicy we could not even eat them. One coke comes in a little glass with two huge ices for usd 3 dollars. The suggestions of the waitress were not good. Anyways, they tried to make it up by offering us a glass of wine.

Shannon Schuler

Made a reservation for dinner here. Cancelled and then changed the time for earlier and less people. Got the email confirmation. Show up for dinner, there’s no record of our reservation (I made the final one 7 days in advance). The snarky host asked to see my email confirmation. Showed it to him, he shrugged “well I don’t have anything”. I told him how I change the late resi to earlier in the evening and perhaps they deleted both? He rolled his eyes “well I can give you THAT table” it was essentially a two top with a third chair squeezed in. Obviously a table for people with no reservations. I said “no thank you. I made a reservation and I would like a proper table”. He stomped around. Arrange something in the computer and then said “ok I can seat you now... DONT say I never gave you anything”. Unreal. The good was spicy and fantastic and the service was on point. Perhaps the host was having an off night? Either way, thanks for giving me a table, that I reserved.

Kaya Dillon

Food was good. Lamb riblets are excellent as were the noodles. Could have been an amazing experience were it not for the sub par atmosphere and service, considering the significantly high price point. Really felt ripped off by our waitress who was pushy on ordering lots without personal experience of the food. Both tables on either side of us were in the same boat (way more food than we wanted). The grand 100$ of clay roasted duck was meh. And the guy that carved it for us by hand had never tasted it, not a great sign as it’s a regular on the menu. Fun sounding dish without a real payoff. Would totally come back for small dishes and drinks, maybe at the bar.

The food is good. Especially if you like spicy food. The service however is horrible! I would suggest a training session for the staff. No one paid attention to our table until we begged for it and one of the dishes came 5min after we finished eating. When we said we would like to cancel it, the waiter replied:no problem,I will be able to sell it to another table. The noise in the restaurant is extremely loud. We gave up on conversation, finished appetizers and ran out. Very disappointing that a restaurant with such an interesting cuisine cannot live to it's potential.

Stephanie Hill

Holy cow this place is absolutely amazing. I had the fried rice and even as a simple dish was out of this world. It has amazing music and delicious cocktails. I had an old fashioned which was done very well. It's a bit pricey but totally worth the experience.

Scottie M

It was ok. Same as all NYC Chinese takeouts but more expensive and there's seating area to eat in.

Ravi Sachidanandam

A little disappointing after the rave reviews, seemed like a cartoon, exaggerated version of the real deal. The spicy wings were overspiced with peppercorn and salty, but not tasty. The fried rice was not very distinctive. Maybe we had the bad luck of picking the worst of the lot

Shanir Kol

Fantastic spicy food

Patrick Farrell

Went to this place because it was close by and the reviews were decent but we were very disappointed. The service was bad except for the host, he was great. However the wait staff didn't seem like they were trained well and had no passion or experience with the menu. We had to ask multiple times for water and soy sauce. The chairs are straight out of a high school desk scenario. If you are going to charge this much for food and drinks, you need to upgrade the decor and have decent furniture. The food was pretty good but salty. I think there are much better places in the area and I wouldn't go here again. It was also very loud.

ADRIAN DAY

My Boyfriend and our friend came up to NYC to visit my Sister while she was in town on business. She picked this restaurant because they have been here before and love it. We had two other friends of our group join us at the restaurant and we sat a large round table towards the rear of the restaurant. The drink selection also had great variety. Everything was amazing and we were able to curtail most of the dishes to be gluten free for my Boyfriend's food allergy. Everyone was highly satisfied with the dishes. I highly recommend ordering koji fried chicken If you come here for diner I would be shocked if you did not leave stuffed and happy.

Michael Barker

Being a lover of Chinese food, I really like to visit this place. Dishes are really delicious. I can never get bored of this place.

Elise Wilson

For all the non vegetarians don't miss this place. It will satisfy your taste buds with amazing juicy flavors. I am totally in love with this place.

Leo02 Vach00

The place serves large dishes and for fair rates. very nice staff members. I recommend this place.

Jenn Toyzer

Great vibes, spicy food. Only downside is getting all the must-haves makes for a heavy and expensive meal. Must haves: thrice cooked bacon, qong qing chicken wings (VERY spicy), mapo tofu, cod fried rice, and green tea noodles.

Elizabeth Custer

This is one of old Chinese restaurants in New York. I had fried rice and salt and pepper tofu. The food was good and the service was quick. You can get free hot tea.

Eleanor Marks

Went here with a group of friends - drinks and vibe were great. We found all of the food waaaayy too spicy (and they didn’t accept any sort of spice modification) - there was one dish with a literal pile of crushed red pepper on top! Food was good but almost hard to taste because of the spice.

bkallday8589

Didn't eat. Ambiance was nice.

Princess Mossada

It’s dark inside. Very friendly staff. Very tasty food.

Eric Siegel

Great spicy original menu

Camina Raphael

Good service, good food and nice atmosphere

Rose Liang

Way too much salt and spices that put off the taste. The lighting was blue which makes you can’t really see what you are putting into your mouth. The music was so loud (so better not going with someone whom you actually want to talk to). Plus bad services: we have to ask three times for water. Not recommended for dinner. Maybe a bar snack before a night out.

Kelly Barnes

chinese food, mmm, my favorite treat. I look forward to going back again.

Jon Arnold

I love this place. I have been going here since they opened and there are a couple dishes that are really addictive. The thrice cooked bacon, the Kung pow pastrami, the cucumber smash, and the turkey jerk fried rice. If you like spicy food that makes you sweat have the wings also. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Mariani Kino

Really confused by all the hype. But I guess there’s no hype no mWe’ve ordered a bunch of stuff but I only remember the flatbread an the dessert. The rest was so meh it didn’t leave any lasting impression. Food came out really really fast. I didn’t know it was possible but it was uncomfortably fast? Service is quick and pleasant. The space itself was odd and uninviting.

Leah Fleegle

Delicious! Our server was a bit awkward and super rude but the food was delicious! Thrice cooked bacon is a MUST order. Salted cod rice is a near second. Lamb rice is good as well. 169 bar next door is amazing for a drink before or after!

Avantus Wu

Mission Chinese Food. The mission failed, its not Chinese, and I would not call this food. Crab Fried Rice? Far far far too much salt Mapo Doufu? Mediocre, Kung Pow Pastrami:.....Just what is this abomination. Too much sauce, too much salt, too much everything American. Completely obliterated the pastrami (which was a bad idea to start with) but outright ignores the rules of cooking where the dish should be balanced, and certainly not have the main ingredients drowned out by condiments. By the way your decor looks like a party city exploded and froze in time on October 31st Advice: Go to Wu's Wonton down the street.

Rachel Rinkesmith

mission chinese is well known if you're searching for it on google you're probably already planning to come here! its worth it and bring some friends to share with so you can try as much as possible.

Eoghan McDermott

Delicious food, with some unique tastes and flavours, friendly staff always available to answer any questions, a very pleasant experience

Velma Estep

Quality food and great taste at an affordable price. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. Decor and service are so so, but that's just not what most Asian restaurants focus on. I will definitely go back.

Nicole Leonard

Chinese food done right. A huge range of flavor, spices, dishes. Upscale and a really fun atmosphere. Not your typical neighborhood Chinese take out.

Luke Fisher

Super tasty food, wait staff was wonderful, even to a scruffy looking group like we were in. Would absolutely go back again.

Will McClelland

Can't miss on this place. Beware spicy wings though

Jack Roper

I submit this review reluctantly, because I was so excited for this meal. We went to Mission Chinese based on a review (of tasting menus) from a well known NYC publication. I’ll cut right to the chase. The less expensive ($45pp) banquet style dinner was our plan all along. We arrived and were seated immediately. The staff was great, the restaurant was fine, the seating was from a defunct junior high school. The first thing they brought us was the chicken wings. If you can imagine every Indian spice, curry powder, perhaps pumpkin pie flavorings, and cayenne on the same piece of chicken then you can imagine the wings. It’s fine if not every course is great, but no course should taint your palate for the rest of a meal. After eating one wing we eventually asked the waiter to remove the rest of the course because it was all we could smell at our table. A few of the remaining dishes were really good, the green tea noodles, the salted cod rice and the broccoli part of the broccoli beef were very nice. Unfortunately, on the whole our impression was that this restaurant sold us a somewhat expensive dinner experience that was based on fairly routine and basic ingredients. Their overt use of spices in two or three courses didn’t make up for the rest of the meal.

I'm not sure how I hadn't heard of Mission before this year. I'm usually up on the popular restaurants in Manhattan but I had no clue about this one. A friend of mine who had been out of the U.S. for a year was the one who brought it up. Imagine that! I digress! The decor and ambiance are very cool. They've got a semi-open kitchen area with a brick oven. We actually stayed for drinks after dinner and shut the place down. The main dining room has a fish tank at its center. My companion was so excited by it! No listen, the food is awesome! So. Much. Flavor. I'm not sure I've ever been more excited to eat leftovers than after my trip to Mission. The drinks were great "icing on the cake" and the bartender was hilarious! Bottom line: It's a little pricey but worth it. I'm busy contriving reasons to go back. I need something that qualifies as a "special occasion."

B Saucy

This place is definitely not for everyone. It's a really hipster heavy spot which means you may get some attitude from the staff (like we did). Fair warning that the music is so loud you'll have to yell for every conversation even at a small table. We tried around 12 of their dishes. I'm pretty sure that 5 of them had the exact same sauce on top - which was definitely disappointing considering the price point. The chicken wings were so covered in chilli flakes that you could barely taste the food itself. The rest of the food was decent but I was not overwhelmed by any of the flavours. Overall I'd say the place it pretty overhyped, but if you're looking for that super unique LES hipster experience then look no further.

Marshall Shaffer

Green tea noodles were absolutely delicious! Wish there wasn’t so much in the menu that was so spicy - felt that it limited my options pretty significantly.

Paul Asjes

Fun vibe and interesting food. It can get very loud.
