Good food. Service was good. Not the best margaritas, but decent.

kathryn sunga

Great service, atmosphere and the best guacamole and mojito I've had in years!

Kristina Cubrilo

Great space, great atmosphere, great drinks and appetizers but if you want to talk with friends it will be a challenge as it is very loud and vibrant. The place is buzzing with energy.

Viviana Shanks

Well, that was quite the disappointment. Service was inexistant outside. Service inside barely talked or helped. Food? Overpriced and just ok. We ordered the fajitas, for $22 we imagined they were amazing (since they cost $8 more than any other place in town). Well, let me tell you that it tasted like it was just out of a Walmart pre prepared fajita chicken. Veggies were tasteless and over cooked. Won’t recommend or go back. What a waste of time and calories.

Lourdes Vargas

Great guacamole and delicious Margaritas

Edgar Martinez

Here on vacation, enjoying a great time in this great city when stop by this bar /restaurant best experience I have

Elmer Medina

Lots of fun and good friendly service and great drinks

Kristin Wardlow

We had a $90 lunch in this place. It wasn't worth that price for sure. The service was good and our waitress was very sweet. Their salsa was bland. No flavor and no spice. Their rice was dry and bland as well. I was charged for Iced Tea refills, because "no free refills on soda". This is probably a good place to go get drinks and have some guac, but that's about it. If you love Mexican food, this place is probably not going to impress you.

Emine C

Loved everything except the wait time but it was worth it. The food and the atmosphere was perfect!!

Anna Solohub

One of the best Mexican places I've been so far

Marie

Extremely loud! My friend and I picked this place because of the convenient location. Hard to talk...even harder to hear. I asked for a Mexican hamburger and our server advised me that it would take 15-20 minutes to make. Are you kidding? This is lunch hour not happy hour where you have the luxury of hanging out. Changed the order to quesadillas and the table next to ours ordered hamburgers and got them almost at the same time as we received our order. Food was ok but no plans to return

Lauren

Used to eat here regularly when I lived nearby. Stopped in to get takeout on a Sunday around 4:00. It was not very crowded except a few tables and people at the bar watching football. I made my order with a nice bartender who said it would be ready in 10 mins (guacamole and a cheese quesadilla). Came back around 10 mins later with my 17 month old who the food was for. Literally stood at the bar waiting with her and let her sit/stand on a chair and then rudely was told by the manager that we weren't allowed to stand at the bar and to go sit at a table somewhere else. Honestly, if it were crowded or if the baby was being annoying or crying I could understand but literally we were standing there. I thought I was really rude and needless to say they will not be getting any more $ from me anytime soon.

Susan Berryman-Yarusso

Great margaritas, fresh guacamole and outstanding service! Felix even made an amazing non alcoholic mojito for my pregnant friend!

David Jones

Really good Mexican restaurant. Make sure to ask for the spicy pinche margarita.

Marlon Int'l

I went there to celebrate my birthday and what a gem of a place. The chips and guacamole, nachos, and the coconut mojito were excellent! And to top it off I had an excellent server, Michelle, who surprised us with a birthday cake. She was awesome, loved the place and I'll definitely be back!

Jon Moore

I never leave a review but I feel like I had to here. We went to the mad dog in the business district of Manhattan during our vacation recently and when we got there the waitress asked if we wanted chips and salsa or guacamole without telling us prices. I realized on the menu it costed money and when she gave it to us I asked if she could take it back as we didn't eat any of it. She said she couldn't because she already rang it up? What? We get the food and it was nice very well made then she gave us the check and the guacamole was 13 dollars! She could've told us that it was that much before she asked right when we sat down.

Jay Roberts

Perfect for happy hour and drinks. Came here with 7 of my co workers and it was a blast. The tequila tower is just what a group of eight needs.

Anthony pilla

Excellent customer service. Very good food. Amazing guac!!!!!

Pavel Asanov

Great food, quick service, nice historical ambiance setting of the stone street. Indoor and outdoor sitting. On sunny days it is really amazing to be outside having lunch.

Amina R

Solid spot if you're in the mood for some nachos and delicious fajitas. I've been here twice and the quality has been consistent.

Darek M

This place is shady. I've gotten whiskey there and it never tastes what it should taste like. My Maker's Mark neat was cloudy in color. It came from a bottle that had the label mostly peeled off. So I am guessing they're substituting garbage into expensive bottles, and reusing them for months, witness the peeled off label off the Maker's bottle that's usually on there pretty strong. Unless you're getting bottled beer, or maybe their margaritas, don't order anything else, and better yet, go somewhere else. Don't support fraud. > nothing you insinuate in this review is accurate I can assure you that what I said is 100% accurate and I don't appreciate being called a liar.

Kevin Keith

Good food and drink but, not many bean dishes on the menu.

Carla Rupp

My son Jason Rupp placed third in the monster burrito eating contest on the Day of the Dead celebration. I entered also. Fun events like this make it a special place. Cool atmosphere. Happy hour is good. Lots of amazing food and drinks. I loved the margarita!!! Try it. Nice staff. In financial district. Loved it. Hope to come back. Great neighborhood.

Matthew Kuznia

Food is really good, as is the service. Don't be in a rush going - it's not fast. Good for groups. Best option for Mexican in the area. Work a block away, so we hit it up whenever a big group of us is going out for lunch.

jackychannel

The food was good. But the place was very hectic, me and a friend was left waiting around for 10-15 minutes for someone to acknowledgfor and get my party seated.

Dawn Boehm

Good margaritas, food is decent. Staff could be nicer. Once it gets busy they tend to be less willing to help and quickly dismiss people. Sometimes takes forever for a drink. Double check your bill as I've had unauthorized items put on my bills few times. It was better a couple of years ago.

David Hassoun

Good place for lunch in the city. Food isn't anything amazing but cool interior and decent food and service. Can get busy though so plan accordingly. I would go back but not top of my lists.

Anita Changur

Great guac and the elderflower margarita is amazing.

Shawonna S.

Nice spot , good music. We went Friday 6/14/19. Absolutely loved their freshly made Guacamole and chips mmmmm ,mmmmm, mmmmm, chicken quesadillas, dry bone in wings sauce on the side!

nisarg shah

Decent food...terrible service!!! Takes 15 mins to bring the 1st margherita and then we order another that never arrives. No excuse...no sorry...we just left!!!!

Jakob Fix

Gargantuan portions, nicely spicy. Sitting outdoors while storm is preparing overhead. Really nice street with outdoor seating. Lots of after-work drinks.

Gonzalo Garcia

It wasn't what I expected. The chips and salsa where good but the soup was just the liquid and a piece of avocado, barely any content... To reply on the comment below: I didn't speak to the manager because it wasn't a problem with the service (it was excellent), it was about the food and how it didn't meet my expectations. I appreciate you caring about your customer's feedback, I hope it helps.

Kris Lynn

If you want cold food then eat here. Ordered tacos and the y were ice cold. Sent them back and they gave them back to me the exact same way. Then the waiter said they don’t heat the tortillas up. The meat was cold too.

Charlotte Small

My go-to spot for great Guac and margs! It is almost always very busy, especially happy hour during warm months, but you can usually get a table

Norma Uriguen

Drinks, food, service and ambiance were great! Music was awesome. Fun place!

Wildary Cepeda

Loved this place!!! We were a group of 10 Ladies and as soon as we arrived they prepared tables and seated us within seconds. Loved the attention from our waitress. Loved the fast service of the kitchen. Loved the decoration!! But specially, I really really Loved the ambiance. We were seated right in the middle, on the second floor, surrounded by other tables and some other groups. Loved how festive it felt. They were playing awesome Latin music, we were celebrating a birthday and my farewell. We ordered many appetizers to share among the group. Everything was exquisite. The guacamole was my favorite over all the others. It was perfectly made, not salty but flavorful, not too spicy but it had something that felt spicy and tasteful at the same time. Guac was also acid enough for you to LOVE it. We had two or three Margarita Towers to share, they are very tricky. A mixture of sweet but really strong, so be careful. :p I am really really really looking forward to come back soon.

Barbara Morris

mexican food, so tasty. Everyone at our table was enjoying everything. I will be back with my friends. I can see why they have so many great reviews.

Vinayagam Kulandaivel

One of the best Mexican restaurant around Wall Street. Good and quick service. Best for lunch and dinner.

james cox

Waitress give us the check with out asking if we were ready to leave on top of that she only comes to the table 2 times in one hour and never even took the dame menus back like really. The tables are really small so you cant fit your food and drinks on it. Other then that the place was not too bad

MrsSpilly

Had a fantastic dinner at the Stone Street Maddog & Bean. The service was excellent and the food arrived hot and timely. We had chips and salsa and coconut shrimp for apps. I had the steak enchiladas and my husband had the pulled pork burrito bowl. The cactus pear margarita was so delicious we can’t wait to go back.

Raina N

Best margaritas and guacamole I’ve ever had in my life! The spicy guacamole can be really spicy so be careful when specifying your spice level lol!

Trish Bhag

Great food, great drinks! Passion Fruit Margarita was delicious!

DAVID K PATTON

Nice spot in Lower Manhattan. Guacamole was on point, but unfortunately they were out all local brews. Service was a little slow, probably because it was 7:30 on a beautiful Saturday evening. Nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere a block south of Wall St.

sandeep n

They made us sit upstairs and asked us to leave the place by 9:30pm(closing time)on a Saturday night. Change your business timing to 9:30pm. Don’t deceive people with wrong timings on the internet. They didn’t even arrange for a table downstairs when asked for, which is open till 1:00 am. Food, drinks and the service was good.

Chris Krafcky

Don't bring a large group of people for lunch. We arrived at 12 with a reservation and just about the first group of people for lunch. We didn't get our lunch until after 1. They even forgot about one of our guests and what he ordered. The quesadilla was certainly not worth the price.

Kunal Singh

This place serves some of best maxican cuisine in New york city. I was there with my colleague and we had feast. There menu is balanced; and portion size is good. Even simple item like tortilla taste different. They definitely sourced it exclusive or made it in house. I will recommend avacado dip (medium spicy) along with salsa sampler. If you go with mojito; it will definetly feel refreshing in summer. Their main course are equally tempting. But by the time you will finish appitizer I bet most of you will feel half full. :-) So to enjoy the feast I will recommend go with big appetite. Our main course order were chicken quesadillas and fajita de carne . And it was equally tasty so we end up over stuffed. Everyting cost us $138 with tip. (Including 4 Mojito drink). But it was worth every penny.

Roque Martinez

Goid Mexican near Wall street. The staff is fun and friendly. Food is consistent and has flavor. I always enjoy the guacamole and chips. Its cliche but a good treat. The cheese with tortillas is a good app as well.

Keva P

It is a cool Mexican restaurant hidden away in the financial district. We ate outside under a gigantic umbrella and my fish tacos were yummy.

Iryna Bulgakova

Simple and delicious food!!!!! My drink was also great. Absolutely loved it. Great area. I will definitely go back.

Sarah Simmons

Great happy hour during the week.. Look for Paco hes the best bartender!

Rodney Byke

Great customer service, The manager is very cool.

Margaret Weaver

Fresh made guacamole is a must. Also their margaritas are delicious.

Geoffrey Martin

This place is in my work's backyard and co-workers get annoyed with me always wanting to come here because I love it so. Frozen Margaritas are amazing and the food is spectacular, as well.

John Barnes

Food is really good. We went on a Friday night they were very busy and the service was not great. First time we have had an issue with the service.

Gaurav Purandare

Very nice ,tasty and reasonably priced food. Fabulous ambience.Quick and courteous staff

Haile Thompson

Bar is a good time, but definitely crowded on holidays and weekends. I ordered a steak quesadilla and feel it was very unauthentic. It looked like cheap food all the way around and wasn’t cooked very well. I could have done better with my microwave and leftover steak. Better off just getting drinks.

Rishabh Shah

Love the enchiladas verde here. Usually crowded during peak times so call and reserve. Service is very good and food is amazing. Not a lot of options compared to a usual Mexican restaurants. Also, it can get very noisy too during peak hours.

Garnett Bruce

Really enjoyed mad dog and beans. The atmosphere is very fast paced and lively! The food was very good and I was very happy with portions. Will be back!

Hesh

Good, make the shrimps bigger

P Monroe

The Tower Margarita is everything. Service was great. Food was good

Yus Doyle

Good location, nice ambien and great foods! We had nachos and chilly corn carne and that was very nice.

Anupam Anshu

Mexican food joint. Food was ok. Ambience is good.

meagan free

Food good service was meh.

Anthony Costa

Food is amazing and the nachos are one of the best in the city..hands down. Also the people writing reviews and complaining about the price... THEN DONT EAT ON STONE STREET. You are paying for great food, service and LOCATION.

Steffania Zhingre

The food is delicious! And Margaritas were so good. Our waitress Sam was extremely nice and gave us excellent service ... we will definitely came back!!

Andrew Morris

Fun vibe and good food.

Jason Katcher

I find the food to be good Mexican. Drinks are good. Small joint in midtown. Worth going.

Damian Benders

Classic Mexican spot in Financial District which is great for lunch, happy hour and dinner. You can have your guacamole spiced to your liking. And I cant say enough about how delicious and fun to share their fajitas will be! You might find the prices a tiny bit steep for lunch, but I can't complain about the food because it is tasty.

Ericka arias

Great food great service

Martina Esguerra

Food was great but service was poor. I was with my family when we ate lunch on July 1st here. The waitress asked for my credit card, I said we were paying in cash but she insisted to take the card. When I asked why she needed to keep the credit card she responded with " are you from here?? Is this your first time eating in this area?? we normally do this here." It was very aggressive. She was abrupt and rude. I said I've never experienced having my card taken- literally taking and keeping it until we were done eating. She took it right after we ordered which is weird. It's not even after we eat and about to pay. We paid cash and we waited about 5mins coz we had to remind her to give back our card.

Kenn Miller

Fantastic Mexican hot wings and the best elotes in Fidi. Good beer selection and mostly friendly service if you're inside, outside is a little iffy.

Kristen Dufauchard

The service was amazing!! The guacamole was a hit at our table. Do yourself a favor and order a bowl (or two).

Dustin Shryock

The grilled pineapple avocado salad was pretty darn good, the service was good, everything was pointing toward five stars but there was no AC or fan and it was 90 degrees and humid outside. The restaurant wasn't unbearable and stayed pretty cool but they should at least install some ceiling fans. Otherwise, I'd totally suggest it!

Pradeep Singh

Great atmosphere. And fun and friendly place. The servers always make sure you are taken care of no matter how busy it is.

Rah Glamicured

Food was great, nice atmosphere

Bodie Black

The restaurant is amazing and roomy, the menu was yummy and the rates were very inexpensive. rapidly, productive service and very attentive staff members. Recommended.

Ernesto Barrera

The food and drinks were pretty good. Service was very slow, however. Prices are what you'd expect for a suit in the Downtown Manhattan, FiDi area.

James Rogers

Good enough Standard Mexican food good margaritas Nice to go and sit outside on a nice day on Stone street Can often be crowded / wait especially for outside tables

Abdul Asif

Great place with yummy food. I love the Mexican food they offer here.

Khiry Palmer

Always a great time here!! Guacamole and the frozen coconut margaritas are the way to go!

Shray Gilotra

Deserves 5/5. Amazing Mexican restaurant with a nice colorful Mexican ambience. The food tastes amazing. The “Grilled Mexican corn” is finger licking good. The Fajitas was sizzling hot and the Tacos were nice too. However what kept us there glued for 2 hours were the amazing Margaritas. Would definitely visit again in my next trip.

Dustin lodato

Food is fresh and amazing. I highly reccomend the Enchiladas mole, nachos, and spicy guacamole! Amazing. Also their wings will not disappoint you.

Krystal P

Margaritas are delicious. Cost on the higher end.

Samantha Powell-Parisi

We enjoyed this place. Get a margarita! Food was great as well -cool atmosphere.

marilyn beausejour

Ive been here before and the experience was amazing and so was the waitress, So we decided to go again but this time it wasn't a great experience our waitress Alex was very rude and had an attitude the whole time as if we had done something to her, We were indecisive on weather to get the tower or seperate drinks and she seemed annoyed, we placed our food order and ordered two sets of wings only one was placed on the table and after waiting we told her to cancel the order because were we halfway finished our food ,15 minutes later it arrived she snatched it from the busboys hand and walked away, she passed by the table several times didn't ask if we were ok or even give us napkins! We spoke with the manager Lacie and she was so kind and helpful as she changed our waitress to Becca who was also kind, I have never written a bad review for a resturant because i try to emphatize with waiters when their having a bad day but it was just uncall for the way she treated us maybe it could be a racial issue because she sure didn’t treat the other groups that came in the same way. If you want good service just stay away from Angry Alex

L. Monroe

Good drinks, but always crowded

David Rothenberg

Good variety Mexican style appetizers and main dishes. Lots of open eating spaces indoors and out. Not too expensive for the area. Nice place for groups.

steve jeter

Food is very good. Main dish portions are more than enough. Margaritas are spot on. Solid service when we went.

Daniel Ramirez
