REVIEWS OF Lombardi's IN New York

Marc Anderson

This is probably the best pizza I have ever had. They have great service and a friendly staff. The 3 star rating is for two reasons. First, I ordered a twelve inch pizza with pepperoni only and it was $26 dollars. Even though it’s great pizza I think that’s a little steep. Second, once we ordered our pizzas it took 40 minutes to get it. I came in to the restaurant already super hungry so that was definitely a turn off. It’s wasn’t that busy as well but hey, sometimes things happen that the customer doesn’t know so I guess it happens. Still the best pizza that I’ve had. Thanks for reading.

Angela Sorrell

So delicious! The waiter was so nice! The pizza was delicious and I don't even like pizza!

Loreana Trabona

Loved the pizza. It has a great flavour and a very thin crust. Always add the ricotta your flavour palate will thank you. The only thing is I wish they added more cheese and less sauce. But that’s a personal preference!

Andrew Conrad

While it proclaims itself as the first pizzeria in America, I think that contested fact may be the only thing this place amazed me with. The pizza seems as if it was cheaply made, cutting corners in any way possible. The pricing is outrageous compared to anywhere nearby, and you're paying more for lower quality. As funny as it may sound, Joe's Pizza is much more pizza for much less money, while delivering higher quality. The drinks at Lombardi's are outstandingly overpriced. Refills cost as much as another drink, so don't expect to see a low bill if you have a thirst. As a whole, the place is worth maybe one visit on a bonus from work.

Meagan Olsen

Wasn't impressed with their pizza found other places in NYC I liked better.

Meg Caccavale

Great pizza, love to be here. Interesting interior and fast and good service

Tyson Hubschmann

Great prices, friendly staff, large portions and delicious food

Shelley McBride

Oldest pizza restaurant in new york certainly didn't disappoint! The pizza was beautiful and with a big pitcher of beer to wash it down made for a perfect weekend dinner! The staff are so friendly and take the time to talk to you even though the place is always busy! Everyone was in a good mood enjoying a Saturday night pizza it was lovely! Definitely a must visit for a pizza lover!

Giovani Rodriguez

I went here on my first day to visit NYC and it was definitely a good way to start my trip! I ordered a large margherita pizza and added pork and sausage, it tasted great! The restaurant was a little noisy but it was not distracting. The waiter was very attentive to our needs and I didn't have to call him over for anything. This place is apparently the first official pizzeria in NYC and with great tasting pizza and service it is definitely worth a visit!

Nigel Collins

Some of the best food i've ever had.

Sergio Serrano

For the first time eating here, I loved it. Will definitely come back when I'm in town again. Definitely recommend this place! The margherita pizza which I had was out of this world! The best hands down!

linda ramirez

Make sure once you finish your Tenement tour, you head to LOMBARDIS for a meal. New York pizza shop, table service is EXCELLENT and pizza is out of this world.

Andy Benavidez

Authentic artisan style pizza! They also have one of the United States oldest coal oven pizza ovens to boot! It’s a must visit in Little Italy. You won’t be disappointed! If you are a vegetarian, give their margarita pizza a shot. The sauce is on point!

Jacob R

This is my second time here and despite the long line outside, this place is worth waiting every minute. The service could be a bit more efficient, but the pizza, wow! Just make sure you get your toppings right and believe me you won't leave disappointed. The price is kind of on the higher end for pizza, but after all, you're in Manhattan. I would not recommend their calzone (I've had better ones elsewhere).

Eryka Blaylock

It was acceptable. Unfortunately our waiter must have been having a rough time because both my daughter's drink and dinner order were incorrect. The issue was rectified by a new order, but it was a very disappointing experience overall.

Brandon Lemmon

Pretty good pizza. Go just for the fact that you can say you went to the oldest pizzeria in the states. Also make sure you check out the oven downstairs.

One of the best pies in the city

Vishvak Seenichamy

Lombardi’s is the first pizzeria in the United States, as such, I was quite curious to try it out. I ordered two Margherita pizzas - one large pizza with olives and one medium with no toppings. After about 15 minutes, the pizzas arrived. The pizza itself was thin and everything looked great. Dough/Crust - The crust was crispy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside. The actual middle was soft and had a good bit of sauce soaking it. Parts of the crust were burnt a little too much and that did cause some of the flavor to be tainted but otherwise it was fine. Sauce - The sauce was exceptional. The right amount of sweetness and tang were incorporated. Perfectly salted and had a great consistency, really brings the pizza together. Cheese- The cheese was a bit disappointing.Mozzarella cheese was used on the pizza and simply was not quality. As I examined the cheese on my paper plate, there was a rubbery texture that was off putting. Mozzarella is supposed to have some elasticity, but this cheese almost felt fake. Flavor was almost nonexistent and just brought the quality of the pizza down. Lombardi's has great pizza. It would be almost perfect if the cheese was improved, otherwise, they check all the boxes and some more.

Mauro Briceno

By far one of my favorite Pizzas in town, you do have to wait online because it’s a busy place, and you have to pay in cash. But, this is one of my favorite places in NYC. A1

Samantha Sile

Pretty good pizza. The base is thin and with a great amount of crisp. I guess I was expecting it to be better. It didn't wow us. One large pizza and two soft drinks (with sales tax and tip) was $60.

James Estrada

It felt like i stepped into pizza past with the gorgeous looking interior of this pizzeria. We had the margarita/white pizzas they were absolutely delicious! Perfect service super welcoming and always trying to make our vist awesome and it was.

Rebeka Stander

I was looking for a nice Pizza place which serve authentic pizza and here we go, I got this place recommended from Teddy's guide and i am more than satisfied! This is the best pizza I've ever had in my life. This is the best pizza in NYC. As far as I know, this is the best pizza in the world. This is Zagat rated pizza, people. We stumbled across this the last time we were in town, We were there for 6 days, and ate here three times. Some times of day or week there will be a wait (no reservations). It is worth the wait. I weep soft tears for you if you do not get pizza here if you have the chance

Cathy Packard

We somehow hadn’t heard about Lombardi’s until our theater usher at The Lyric Theatre, Hector (amazing guy!), recommended us. So much charm and character...and the pizza was PHENOMENAL. We ordered a Lg. Margherita Pizza and a Lg. “Buddy” pizza — both were fantastic and our party of 4 left ZERO leftovers. Be advised, it is CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM on site! The sauce was great, the ingredients were flavorful and fresh, and the crust was downright EPIC. Thanks, Lombardi’s

Scott Crowley

My son is very health conscious but said he believed it was the best pizza he has ever had. The white pizza is the best i have had as well. When i eatbpizza like this in NYC i am not even interested in comparing to Chicago's deep dish.

Stella Y

The small size pizza is quite a big serve actually. Service was great too!

Doug Freiley

The calzone was amazing! There rest of the group enjoyed the Margherita. It was plenty big enough for 4 to eat on. The restaurant itself was inviting and full of great memorabilia from history. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Mahfuzur Rahman

Don't believe the hype. This place is hyped beyond reason. The lines here are insane and you'll be waiting for a while to get in. Once you do get in you deal with nice staff. The food is expensive. To expensive. And that's because the food is average. There was so much disappointment when I took my first bite. They charged extra for sauces as well. I wanted to give two stars because the hype for this place is unreal but it's not the restaurants fault for that. There are other pizza spots around there that are cheaper and much tastier. The next day I had Papa John's Pizza and it tasted so much better.

Omar Valle

The pizza at this establishment was so amazing we had a sausage and pepperoni pizza was crunchy the best part it didn't take too long to get the pizza to the people that I was with

Jeremy o

Lombardi's is one of the best pizzas in NYC. If you want amazing pizza, come get the orginal.

Jen Eastman

Love this place. Original coal-fired pizza oven like 100 years old. Lots of places will say they have "original" in their recipes... go to Lombardi's if you truly want an authentic pie. Amazing!

Matt Brewington

Well what else can you say...the original pizza place delivers the goods. The pizza here is fantastic. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the mozzarella is excellent.

Hanrey Jasika

Delicious. Was invited to celebrate a birthday here and was impressed by the great service, nice ambience, and delicious food.

Peter Show

Excellent service. I love this place.

Joseph Ferguson

Pesto Pizza was awesome! Quick polite service. Crust was chewy but in a really good way.

Sebastian lee

Great pizza, great service. If you think that some pizza is difficult to surprise you, go here.

Julia Bierylo

Went here for my very first NY pizza and I dont think anything can beat it. Their white pizza is so delicious I would love to come back again! Great service as well.

Ric Rawls

Always a great greeting. Love the personal touch and quick service that is given. The food is great and love the neighborhood vibe. Good vibe all around. Great place to take friends and family for a night out, brunch or just to enjoy.

Kr Pr

We love ny pizza. Lombardi's lives up to it's reputation. Ordered the large margerita and Cake Boss special. Pizzas were so large we could have just ordered one. Order came out fast. Pizzas were excellent. Thin crust and sauce were just perfect. One caveat though...the only take cash. No credit or debit cards.

Jim Freund

Many NYers can (and will) argue over what the best pizza in NY is, but most will agree Lombardi's is a contender. Great red sauce, nice crust. I suggest planning on eating there rather than take-out.

Rui Paulino

What can I say, everyone at the table said...wow...oh...wow. I think best place in little Italy to eat something that is still authentic. Bon Appetit

J Wong

Honestly I think this was my favourite pizza in Manhattan. Had one red base and one white, both were outstanding although I’d recommend the red. Love the old school feel of the restaurant too. Highly recommended!

Scott Rosenberger

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Was there in April during WrestleMania weekend and shared a pie with my brother and a friend of ours and there was plenty to go around. Definitely a must if you’re in NYC.

Dj Funky

One of the kings of NYC Pizza, Classic and amazing Pie's

Nico

Amazing pie without a doubt. One of my top 10 favorites in the city. Thin crust, brick oven made. Love it.

Jerome COMBRISSON

The place to be for the Little Italy historical pizza. Good and fresh ingredients. Many different rooms for lunch and good ambiance. The waiters are nice but very focused on speed up the Lunch to have as much as possible new tables for the next clients. But good speed moment. To do once for the history.

Brayan Espinoza

It pretty good not great but pretty good. One thing I absolutely cannot stand is that they are cash only. Whether it’s for tax evasion or they are just plain lazy I hate this. As usual I spend less money when such a restriction is placed. We came late in the day therefore there was no wait. I’m glad I tried it but like much of New York’s food it’s quite overrated.

Rimjhim Gogoi

Great ambience, service and food!

Andrew Conrad

Lombardi's is like visiting an Aunt and Uncle who cook great food and don't know how to use a credit card. The pizza is reasonable in price, same with the appetizers. I enjoyed the meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. The service was great, with a very clean atmosphere. The "cash only" restriction sucks. I'd go back, if I could use my card

Andy Dee

A great pizza! You know when it's a great pizza right? The cheese gets long and doesn't break, you can feel all the flavors of basil, oregano, tomatoes and so on! It just feels fresh and great! That's what this is! A great pizza and a great piece of pizza history! But it also ends there. The prices are high and they do serve drinks in a plastic glass, the beer is expensive as well. 33cl Peroni (Italian normal lager beer) 9$ when you normally buy it for 6$. Kinda outrageous but other than that it was good! Okay staff and service, nothing special to be honest both in good and bad so to speak. The decor and atmosphere feels a bit dated also.. For me, this is one and done. It was great but nothing I will go back to for a long time! I would rather go back to Roberta's in Brooklyn to be honest.

Natasha Buel

We got the small margherita pizza with a pitcher of soda. The crust was probably the best I've ever had. The sauce was delicious. I would have liked twice as much cheese and a lot more basil but overall it was very good. The service was very nice and we really liked our server. Be aware they only take cash but there is an ATM on site.

Andrew Echols

Pizza was good and the beer was cold. It was worth the wait. Bring cash, cards are not accepted. They do not have typical New York pizza. It's Neapolitan pizza: crispy crust, slightly doughy/chewy and mozzarella cheese with toppings options.

Shakhira Kurzhembayeva

Enjoyed large pizza and wine, very pleasant service!

Aniket Jangam

An awesome place for authentic pizza. They have tried to maintain the old feel with the style of table cloth and hand written bills(maybe). The Pizza was great! The bread has a unique taste to it. Overall delicious experience

Andreas

Highly recommend the classic margarita pizza! That way you have an absolute burst of flavor from the tomatoes and mozzarella not overcrowded by toppings!

reapeye 1

The pizza is nice and small but its pretty full most of the time

Stephanie Brown

It's one of those iconic New York places, but it's not better than Homeslice on Vanderbilt in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn if you just want a slice. However, if you want the real NY pizzeria, pass- through-the-kitchen to get to your table experience. Pay the enlarged price, take the pictures, and tell everybody you've been there.

Sarah Hogan

What a wonderful experience in Lombardis- New York’s first and oldest pizzeria! We were lucky enough to be brought through to the kicthen for a tour and an opportunity to get the famous (celebrity) photo! Pizzerias are no longer licensed to be built with coal ovens, so thankfully this one has been here since 1905! All pizza is cooked at 900 degrees in the 115 year old coal oven! The restaurant closes everyday 4:30-5 to replenish the coals! The pizza is perfectly crisp and the sauce is so delicious, they were so accommodating for our dietary requirement on a half and half pizza too! What a wonderful experience, our server was great and completed our experience in Lombardis! Highly recommend!!!

Aaron Dias

Not a bad pizza place. Quiet liked the pizza here. The environment is also great and the staff here are super friendly

Debbie Zwiers

The first pizzeria in New York supposedly

Michael Zopt

Service was really bad. Food didn’t come out at same time. The writer was rushing to push to food and while people where eating pizza the dessert was coming on the table and when we asked for coffee they didn’t even wanted to do it. I order crostini with prosciutto and they give up pizza with prosciutto

Samanta Rogers

Great pizza place with a part of history! Everybody is very attentive and respectful! The pizza was large (we were told enough for 2) with 8 slices in total. There was also the option of a personal size. Minutes later, pizza arrived. Looked good and smelled! The pizza was so delicious!

Christina Alexander

You like pizza??? Well, time to visit the first pizzeria in Manhattan. You wont be disappointed, go classic margarita. The BEST! Their antipasto plate is fabulous as well, and their caesar salad is a good size with delicious homemade dressing. Dont forget to being cash, they dont take credit. There is an ATM outside if you need. Enjoy!!

John DiGuglielmo

An authentic experience at America's first pizzeria. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a classic New York style joint with traditional décor all the way down to the red and white checkerboard tablecloths lining the tables. The quality of the pizza was worth the price tag as every element worked beautifully, from the sun dried tomato sauce, the sharp but gooey mozzarella cheese, to even the crust which was just the right thickness to complete the whole thing. Overall, I would recommend Lombardi's to anyone that wants a taste of the history of New York.

Alexander Lallier

Well organized and ran. You can tell they have been doing things for a long time.

Natalie Kate Tanner

By far the best pizza I've ever had.

Aaron Bright

Fun pizzeria. Good food, fast service!

Mike Mercer

This is our obligatory stop for pizza in Little Italy. Sure, there are other pizza places that can stand up to Lombardi’s for quality and taste, but it’s so iconic that you’ve got to try it at least once.

Shannon B

The best white pizza ever!!! What a landmark, so glad we made it to such a historical place for pizza lovers!

Sem Beljaars

Very nice pizza and bruschetta, but prices were far too high, so avoid if you aren’t prepared to pay a lot.

Shawn G

I had some high expectations from this place but it turned out to be just okay. The crust was very thin and it came out kind of burnt. Taste was only also average. I can honestly say I've had better from my local pizzeria.

tammy ma

Very good pizza! The tomato sauce on this pizza is the bomb! We took the Buddy’s special , generous amount of prosciutto and good crust! A must go!

Luca Bianchi

Good quality pizza and service, but it's definitely not worth the price. The reputation of the restaurant is higher than the food served.

Lorenzo Lopez-Brent

Food was amazing. Low on the spice. So if you like spicy pizza, jazz it up with Red Pepper Flakes. Service was great and food was fresh. It would of received 5 stars, if they had a more robust selection of toppings. Also, the carryout menu is what is listed online. So prices are different for eating inside.

Amanpal Gillar

bruchetta shouldnt be on the menu its so gross . but pizza was amazing

Taylor T.

Incredible pizzas. True Italian style. Good service, good atmosphere. Must try!

Greg Weiss

Love the food here! I come here for lunch a few times a week and they never disappoint. The people here are awesome!

Jeff Crow

Great historic pizza place! Loved it!

Beatus Ille

Embarrassing for such a famous place. Sad service, pizza overcooked and plastic cups for the drinks. 1 star is imho too much anyway.

Alejandro Suarez-Solis

Fights 1st place vs Grimaldi's. Excellent pizza. You just have to go.

Abby Wadman

Traveled from Portland Oregon to eat the best pizza ever....5 stars

Kay W

The pizza here is the best! There is a great atmosphere of an old pizzeria with the red and white tablecloths, wooden booths and lower lighting. The best pizza pie is the simple cheese pie, it doesn't need anything else to be perfect! The waiter was fine, not overly friendly, but very competent, which was fine with me. Definately worth stopping by if you want a yummy pizza pie!

Michelle Morris

I love this place. The food was freshly prepared and terrific. It had variety of different kind of food. Their service was amazing. I'll definitely going back.

V Peñarand

We were told it was going to be a WOW food experience, but it was average pizza and salad that you can eat anywhere in NY at a much more affordable price. This is obviously a tourist spot.

Stefan Pavlov

A very nice place to grab a good italian pizza.

Patricia Coyle

What an experience of the most delicious pizza we have had! Much different the crust than in San Francisco or anywhere else in California. A nice salted dough with a wonderful red sauce and mozzarella cheese.

Chris Smith

My daughter is obsessed with high end pizza so I decided to take her to the very first pizza joint in America. It didn't disappoint one bit. The whole experience was outstanding. The crust was thin, crispy and delicious, the toppings were fresh and perfect and the service was outstanding. The ambiance was full little Italy. If you love pizza and you are visiting NY, you have got to eat here!

Gjdjd Gzhdj

Was in town so could not miss the chance to try their pizza. Amazing! I love their pizza so much! We had Buddy's Special Pizza and the toppings were great! The best thing I love about their pizza is actually their dough/crust. It has a very nice crunch too it and the dough has a very slight saltiness to it that I absolutely love. If I am ever in town again, I am going to make sure I come back again!

Tiffany Lee

My first time trying, I have found a new love for pizza. The quality of the ingredients really made the taste magnificently delicious. The environment was relaxing as well, I was coming in from the rain and the warm pizza and pizzeria soothed me. I'm glad that this restaurant was the first pizzeria in America.

Leonardo Berrios

They only accept cash. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I tried a margarita pie with a cake boss pie. Almost came up to $65 but worth it.

Peter Chawawko-Krauss

Good pizza, friendly staff but the food is not the money worth you spend.

Dave Jordan

We somehow hadn’t heard about Lombardi’s until our theater usher at The Lyric Theatre, Hector (amazing guy!), recommended us. So much charm and character...and the pizza was PHENOMENAL. matthew oliver

As you probably already know, Lombardi's was the first pizza place in NYC. They sure know how to make amazing pizza! We got calzones, and the dough was soft inside and crispy outside. Great pepperoni, and if course amazing mozzarella cheese. If you want pizza in Manhattan you must visit this charming little place! Our server was amazing, and the entire staff was also great.

Steve C 032

I'm really biased when it comes to Lombardi's. I've been a big fan of Lombardi's for nearly twenty-five years and the history of Lombardi's has always impressed me. For the twenty-five years I've been getting pizza here, I've noticed the product going up and down and different times. When it's good...it's extremely good. Other times, it's not bad, but just not as good. Sometimes the pizza could be really soggy. Usually in that case, I take majority of it home and heat it in the toaster oven the following day. We're not the type of people who order a pizza with every phreakin topping on it....not into that overkill type. We get along fine with just one topping such as pepperoni or sausage...sometimes sausage & mushroom. So considering that, our pizza shouldn't be so soggy, but there are times it happens. Service here has always been good. Even though we've had slight issues with the pizza, I'm still giving this place five stars because overall, this place is great.

Mohamed Naguib

To be honest not sure what's all the fuss about in this place, ordered Margarita with some extra toppings and the pizza was very average, I had much better pizzas in NY! They also don't accept cards which is a big deal for someone like me as I don't usually carry cash however there is an ATM inside the restaurant so that's a bit okay. Overall the experience was below average, probably won't come back.

Sam Bartleman

Really great New York style pizza. The option to mix and match toppings lets you get exactly what you want, and they are great at making a great pizza with whatever you choose. This place is usually packed so plan accordingly!

Daniel Rees

Apparently the first Pizza in America. Waited outside in -10 Celsius weather for this and sadly we were disappointed. Maybe at one time it truly was a good Pizzeria but now it seems to concentrate on the Brand more than good quality pizza. We had a "White" pizza which was really dry and pretty tasteless. We left half of the pizza as we couldn't finish it. If you are looking for authentic "Italian" pizza I would seek out Neapolitan Style Pizza as this style is the original and having eaten it multiple times in Italy it is far nicer than the pizza we had here.

Rob Rouse Jr

Lombardi's, the first pizzeria in America. Lombardi's has an amazing atmosphere and history behind it. It truly feels like a unique experience to eat here, almost as though you went back in time. The pizza is amazing as well, some of the best I've ever eaten in my life. My only issue is that I personally didn't like the crust.

Jerard Kemper

The best pizza i have ever ate in my life! I though it's just the hype around this pizzeria, but i was happily surprised that it's actually so good! The service was excellent! The pizza was even better than we expected! The only downside is that it's always crowded, but everything else is excellent! My favourite one is Old School Margarite!

Judy Fang

Great atmosphere and vibes! The Caesar salad and the bruschetta were so fresh and tasty, which made me feel a lot better having a pizza after! The wait time wasn’t too long either, and we could enjoy a bevvy by the bar. The bartender was really friendly! Service - 5/5 Quality - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5

Gladys Rodríguez Pitre

Very yummy pizza. Kinda pricey, but it's nice for a treat or for when out of town friends come for a visit.

Grace McNamara

Food was nice, but overpriced since it was in Little Italy which is very touristy. Service was slow and not that friendly.

Chelsea Ewing

The pizza is good thin crust pizza. The bread sticks were just bread with no flavor, no garlic or anything! I suggest not wasting your money on those...just get a pizza!

Sriram Someshwara

Hard to beat the pizza at Lombardi's. And the bruschetta is the best I've had anywhere - a must have! And love the atmosphere. The institution lives up to the hype.

James Hill

This was my first "authentic" NYC pizza experience. It was okay, but I've honestly had better "NY Style" pizza from restaurants back home in South Carolina.

Phyllis Reed

Loved it!! Good food, good atmosphere, good fast service. Popular spot!!

Bonnie Fitzpatrick

Lombardi's deserves their excellent reputation. We had breadsticks as an appetizer and margarita pizza as an entree. Brick oven pizza crust was crispy and delicious. Well worth the trip!

Andrew Echols

Pizza was good and the beer was cold. It was worth the wait. Bring cash, cards are not accepted. They do not have typical New York pizza. It's Neapolitan pizza: crispy crust, slightly doughy/chewy and mozzarella cheese with toppings options.

James Strain

Oh my gosh, exactly what I was looking for in NYC pizza. Crisp and crunchy but moist too, great flavours. The business.

Miguel Andrei Cesardo Navarrete

Really mouthwatering pizzeria, nicely decorated with great staff that is really friendly and knows their pizzas. Their main pizzas were delicious, the meatballs were soft and full of flavour. Some Craft beer available which only makes it better.

Mlchelle Gloms

Was not what people say it was. I have had better pizza than Lombardis.

Ed Young

First pizzeria in America! Awesome food in a great setting. Very well worth the walk. I strongly encourage people thinking about dinner to either go early or late. Lombardi's is cash only so plan ahead. Their Margherita pizza is amazing. Great location for a couple out to dinner or a group of 8 or 10. Reservations are taken for groups of 6 or more.

Dangerous Dan

Lombardi's is like visiting an Aunt and Uncle who cook great food and don't know how to use a credit card. The pizza is reasonable in price, same with the appetizers. I enjoyed the meatballs and a pepperoni pizza. The service was great, with a very clean atmosphere. The "cash only" restriction sucks. I'd go back, if I could use my card

Jenni

I was recommended Lombardi's as a must-try experience from a customer of mine who knew I was seeing NYC for the first time. I was not disappointed! Everyone should visit New York's oldest Pizzaria. I split the clam pizza with a friend. The crust is impossibly thin and impressively holds itself up. My only regret is how long it took to catch someone's attention to get the bill (so long that we contemplated calculating our owings and leaving the money on the table, something I've never done before and thankfully didn't have to do that day.)

Craklyn

Pizza was super good. Honestly, go eat here if you can. The sauce on the pizza is incredible. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's cash only.

Ashley Strawser

Pizza was good but prices were pretty high! My boyfriend and I got the Cake Boss pizza. It was good but I don't know if it was better pizza than I could get anywhere else.

Laurel Herring

Good pizza...thin crust. Not more than 5 pizzas...everything else is add on. A little too crispy on edges but tasty. It's more about it being the FIRST pizza joint in USA.

Daniel Tollis

Best pizza I ever ate. The flavor was terrific. You definitely have to go there if visiting NYC. They even let us take a picture by the iconic tile faced oven.

Sam S

Famous pizzeria in NYC. We went but the food was not what we expected. The service, however, was very good.

Olivia Ku

Pizza is good but the staff there is not friendly AT ALL!

Merter Bozkuş

I don't know if they are really the first, but they are delicious. I recommend for every tourist.

Maria Hernández

This place is very popular but I found the pizzas absolutely average. The menu is boring a little innovative and the ingredients they use are not great.

Sam Lau

Delicious pizza at a reasonable price. Plenty of seatings. Bathroom available. No parking so it’s a walk to place. Great vibe.

Jack Daniels

When people say NYC pizza is the best pizza, they are not talking for the 99cent pizza joints! They talking exactly about Lombardi's pizza! It's not one of the best, it's the best pizza in the town! The service is excellent, the taste of pizza even better! Everytime i get there, they have fresh pizza full of flavor!

Loma Jackson

I can see why they are the oldest pizzeria in NYC. Delicious.

Eric San Jose

Easy to see right off of Spring Street servicing Little Italy and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Moderately clean facilities. Pizza is great. Always a long line but it moves quickly. New York City prices so bring your credit cards. We will definitely be going back.

Scotty's Pizza Tours brought me here amd it was a great non-neopolitan way to get our tour started. A great sturdy crust that's not overly greasy

Ivonne Marie Estrella Hernandez

Delicious Pizza and a great cultural environment. The staff is super friendly. First pizzeria of America

Rachel Gunby

Great pizza place by Little Italy. Authentic American pizzas! Laid back atmosphere. Did not disappoint

Ramseen Evazians

Average pizza. Above average cost. Nice casual ambiance and very touristy. For real good pizza, i would go somewhere else.

Yigit Can Gulle

It is the first pizzeria in America The Pizza and service was good When you arrive, they write your name to list and give you small machine which calls you. you have to wait approximately 20-30 minutes before sitting to the table.

Ben Watkins

Good pizza although pricey. The pricing is understandable because of the history behind the place. It being the first pizzeria in New York. Overall, the pizza is good but it really is all hype.

Lisa Kristin

The pizza was really amazing! Even better than many places in Italy. Nice staff and the food came very quick. Unfortunately we had a really bad place in the last secluded corner of the whole restaurant and it was very, very loud and really cold. I recommend a reservation so you’ll have better seats and a better overall experience. But still I’d come back, loved the food.

Narsing Rao Dyavani

One of the New York’s best pizza!! You don’t get pizza by the slice here.

Kaitlin Rowland

Great place, great vibe. Excellent staff. Really nothing to not like. This place is an authentic Italian restaurant. Best of all for us, was the hospitality.

Abood Abeidoh

Underwhelming to be honest. The crust is on point but the sauce and mozzarella was just flavorless. Unsure if it was a lack of salt or what but I just felt that my expectations were not met. My bro who has eaten here quite often as a kid was also let down. Maybe it was too hyped up and my expectations were too high.

Alex Gerasimov

Absolutely incredible pizza place. Highly recommend to go in this First official pizzeria of NY

Max Norch

Amazing pizza. Best in nyc by far

Merrily Haas

Great original coal oven pizza. Friendly customer service. Menu is limited to pizzas, calzones and a few other things. They are cash only, no cards or checks so be prepared.

Janine Ramirez

Good pizza at this New York landmark. A bit pricey for a pizza bit great place for tourists to get a reliably good pizza.

Marceline Seabrook

Best pizza place in town. I get the pizza every time!! The staff is extremely friendly, and are always available to help. It gets busy sometimes but it's worth the go. I come here once a week just to enjoy the food. I would prefer this pizza over any other pizza place in the world. I highly recommend this place for everyone!

Jared Miskimen

Awesome pizza. An historic place you must eat at when your visiting Little Italy or Chinatown. They are basically in the same neighborhood.

Zygintas Krasodomskis

Good pizza. Prices are ok until you order more toppings on the pizza. Also cash only, luckily there is an ATM inside.

Will Finley

Doesn't live up to the hype. I've had better neopolitan pies in Texas. The atmosphere is cool and I totally dig the "first pizzeria" deal.

Lorena Waring

The pizza was absolutely delicious!! The workers are very friendly and the place is nice and clean!! The place has a beautiful atmosphere!! If I could give 1million stars I would!!

Pizza was great and service was okay. Bus guys were great but our server had too many tables and was not attentive. Overall a nice experience for lunch.

The welcome we received was really cold, as if they didn't want us there. They have waiters in black shirts (mostly Mexicans) and order takers in white (Italians). After trying to get the attention of someone to take our order, the lady came over reluctantly with a clear irritated expression on her face. The pizza and starters arrived at the same time. The Bruschetta was over salted, which was a shame, because the tomatoes looked good. The Margherita was well made, and in all, my family and I enjoyed the meal, but not amazing. I've had better from my local in London. We ate quickly and left, as there impression I got was we were not welcome there. Even as we left, there was no warmth or comments from the waiters or manager, of wishing us to return. Really bizarre experience. I definitely would not return again, or recommend others to do so. The place had got history, but you can't live in the past. There are so many other pizza restaurants that offer the same, if not better, and actually make tbe effort to smile and welcome their customers.

Excellent. Get a taste of old New York in this quaint lunch or dinner spot. Limited menu, great food and drinks!

Julie Nguyen

Very delicious thin pizzas in Soho! Portions are generous! Great ambiance! Knowledgeable waiters! Not cheap but this is New York (everything is expensive)! Only inconvenience, they take CASH only!

Ramin Ghadami

They claim that they are the oldest one. the quality of their pizza proof that they are one of the bests for sure. We ordered Margarita and then we add some toppings and the result was really delicious. Thank you guys and keep it high.

Kwanghyun Chi

Amazing! A Must-visit place if you are in NYC. 1. Thick&bold tomato sauce 2. Really tasty pepperoni 3. Sour cheese that really goes extremely well with its tomato sauce 4. Coal oven baked dough. It is greasy, crispy. New york style is added on to margherita pizza. As a result, it's well seasoned too!

Louise Kim

Food was spectacular. We ordered the meatballs and small pizza for two and it was great. Service was not amazing but they were busy. I recommend!!

I would rather go back to Roberta's in Brooklyn to be honest.

chad ellison

A+ experience! Quick service for a NYC pizza favorite, great Italian style ambiance, and good customer service. This is by far my favorite NYC pizza place. It is always busy with a wait but this is NYC. Pizzas are what make this my favorite NYC.

Josh Dorion

I went here with some coworkers tonight for the first time. Based on a recommendation from someone, on top of the commentary about it being the first pizzeria, I did not have high expectations. However, it definitely lives up the hype. We ordered appetizers and the bruschetta was amazing. After, we ordered just a plain pepperoni pizza. It was phenomenal! I've received several pizza recommendations in NYC in the past and have been let down, but this place is worth the trip. The only complaint I have is that they are cash only... but I'm not going to dock a star, as I understand the choice.

Sean Choi

It would have been 5 stars if they took credit card. Come on Lombardi’s it’s 21st century. I would have ordered so much for food only if you took credit card. Pizza is great btw. No wonder they are the oldest pizzeria in the states.

Gerry Anderson

The first pizza place in america. Coal oven which, means steam engine hot so the pizza comes out fast, slighly charred on the tips of the dough bubbles which means crunchy and tasty thin crust. The cheese is not the star but a balance of the dough, sauce and chunks of cheese that dont cover the entire pie (look at the pictures). A must for tourists.

Danagul Taszhanova

I think this was my favourite pizza, beautiful and clean place, the service was excellent.

Crystal Stockman

Service was ok, food was AWESOME! Come and get the Famous Clam Pie! Worth the time, and expense!

V K

Why do I feel like this place is overrated? It is an okay good pizza. Nothing really WOWS me. Just an ordinary pizza with good crispy thin crust.

jessi CuRLz

Delicious pizza , great service . We had a 15 min wait but it was totally fine. I would recommend .

This place is history standing. The first pizzeria in the US, est. 1905. I have been dying to come here after hearing the podcast on pizza from Stuff You Should Know. Food is damn good. I was surprised by the clam bake pizza but wow great pizza right there. You should go and relish in history
