They have solid French classics in a nice little space. The quality is really high for this area and for the price.

Arif Anwar

Cozy and affordable French Bistro is Manhattan that serves great brunch.

David Luchnick

Escargot was well spiced but clearly microwaved. I had the liver and it was tender and right temp. The Mrs had chicken which was outstanding. Wine selection is well represented. This is a little hole in the wall so NYC. Worth the trip.

Yang Wang

Interior is warm and cozy. Intimate vibe.food is pretty good ! Service ok.

Adriana Jakubik

We visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. And It was our second visit. It's not super fancy but very very cozy comfy ambience which I like a lot. I had rainbow trout w lentil and it was yummy. Definitely would go back.

jen rok

Great food, polite service, good wine. Would definitely recommend this charming little bistro. Especially the mussles in white wine sauce.

Philip Mancini

Small cozy place. A petition touch of Paris. Very traditional.

Miguel Gonzalez

I love the food and service here. They have a simple menu that they always perform to perfection and a couple of specials that always sounds amazing. They season the food properly; not too salty like most places these days. Service has always been great too.

Z Z

Went there for dinner. Cozy, laid back with an authentic menu item list. I ordered beef tartare and shared a garlic white wine mussel. I am myself moules marinières addicted all the time and tried different places. To me it was not really high ranking one here. The french fries didn't come out nicely, though freshly served, it could be more crispy.Beef tartare was of good texture, with raw egg on top, however would be better with less mayonnaise-like sauce. Service was pretty good as a crowded dinner place, made u feel always taken care.

Alice McCarthy

Cozy, intimate eatery. Mussels terrific.

Nehal Ahmed

A very nice tiny restaurant in the neighborhood. They got some very interesting dishes. Loved the calf liver and the desserts I tried. The people at the restaurant were really friendly and took really good care of us. Even though I visited around lunch time, the restaurant wasn't fully crowded.

Al Galletly

Stopped by for a late lunch. Warm, friendly welcome, great service, wonderful food.

Joel Brooks

Get the Omelette! Also the floating island dessert is great.

Katherine Perkins

One of the best steaks I've had. It was delicious, cooked to perfection (medium) and had so much flavor. The thyme sauce was divine. Service was friendly and attentive. My husband and I will definitely come back the next time we're in NYC.

Le Parisien was an adorable French café. This small restaurant was perfect for casual French dinner in Murray Hill! We were seated right away, once our full party arrived. The bistro is very small, once seated, you can see everyone in the restaurant (seats about 20 inside). You can also see the kitchen cook from most seats at Le Parisien. The French host and hostess also served as the waiter and waitress. The food was good to excellent! I enjoyed the savory garlicky escargots, the crispy baguette with the pate, the seared medium rare duck breast, and the sweet reduced French Onion soup! The bread was perfect for soaking up the garlic parsley sauce with the meaty escargots! The seared duck breast with leeks and chives was so mouthwateringly delicious! The crispy duck skin and pink tender breast with the rich umami sauce. I should have ordered two of these. The French Onion soup was delicious too! So many onions rendered into this beef broth soup. The pate was a little dry and the desserts were ok. I would avoid the desserts here. The meringue island was unique: it tasted like a sweet marshmallow in a slightly soup sweet soup. But I agree with my friend, it was unique but I would not order it again. The crème brulee needed more carmelization. And the profiteroles were a little doughy and soggy. Overall, great food! I would definitely return.

Great food and service

Sharon Gee

Literally the best Eggs Benedict and fries in the city. We have tried everywhere else too. This is the place.

Jessica Schnell

Pricy but good

Michael dimen

Charming, friendly, very French

Moran Davison

Nice little French bistro, the menu is not huge but has some great selections, atmosphere is great and friendly. The food is a little fatty, prepared with a lot of butter (it is still French) and the wine is good.

Helen Ward

Came for some french cuisine and I was not disappointed! My father got the half chicken dish and I got the rainbow trout and they were both very delicious! We also got some french wine and escargots and they were also excellent. We got the creme brulee and profiteroles (cream puffs) for dessert and they were amazing, definitely get them! The place is small, but I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious Parisian meal. Great service and a warm environment.

Charles Wierzbicki

Went for brunch. Food was fine, nothing too impressive. Was seated quickly, but the place is tiny so it was packed and noisy.

WK W

Good solid bistro. Service is efficient and food is tasty and fairly priced.

Scott Webber

Great place

Arash E

Decent food and decent price. Nothing fancy, but it was well worth it.

John Quadrino

Wife and I decided to revisit this charming bistrot a second time after a good first impression. Steak Frites and wife's steak sandwich were cooked to order and surpassed every expectation. Superb wine choices, good service, great ambiance....will have to make a third visit soon...

Sydney DeBolt

Fantastic French food! My favorite restaurant in the area, a beautiful hidden gem.

Hugh Bethell

Don't let the inside photos fool you, the place is charming (though tight) and full of atmosphere. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. Escargot, spinach salad to start; a duck special was out of this world; apple tart to close.

Samantha Sheppard-Lahiji

I took my mom here after a spa day nearby for lunch. It's a small restaurant, and luckily we made a reservation, because the place was very crowded for midday lunch (it was a holiday). I had the mussels which came with frites, and my mom had the croque madame. My only qualm was that the frites didn't come with ketchup or mayo, and while I probably could have asked...I felt like I wasn't supposed to (if that makes sense). The food came out quickly and the service was attentive. We also had dessert (apple tart) which was divine.

Cathy Gunther

Perfect lunch!

Anna Trueman

Found this place a little by accident, and so glad we did! Everything was delicious. Definitely going back!

Kai Ackley

Wonderful French food in Murry Hill!

Tomoko Koide

My French friends celebrated my birthday here! It was my first time to escargot

Monica De los Ríos

Excelent place great food and friendly staff I really enjoy it!

Shihho Yu

Small cozy restaurant. Love the white garlic sauce in mussels. French onion soup was decent. Bistrot steak with red wine thyme sauce was delicious. Normally I don't like sauce to go with my steak. However, they really did a good job to put these two things together. $30 and up

Kosta

Very cute place, especially if you are on a date. Food is excellent and the staff is quick.

S Sadoff

Fantastic food and a very warm and professional staff. Worth visiting often.

Richard Hudson

Missed the brunch menu and realized it was dinner time. Working night shift will do that to you. Haha AMAZING french toast though! Recommended by the server. We'll be back for sure.

Marie-Paule de Valdivia

Service was distant at best, place is loud and really tight, and food is average. Good prices.

MM Ma

Walked in at 530p to prix fixe $29.95- 3 course dinner offered between 530p to 600p. Delicious! Large plates. Friendly service. Left very satified. Tables are small and intimate good for conversation. Everything was delicious! Regular menu prices are very good too!

Benjamin Liechty

This is a lovely little spot. Every dish we had was delicious, the prices are reasonable, the wait staff are excellent, and the decor is fun

Elizabeth Weir

I stumbled upon this place, and I couldn't have had better luck. The food was delicious, and the portions were good. The wine was excellent. The staff was cheery, and it was clear that most of the diners who came in were regulars and friends. The space is very small, so if you have mobility issues it might not work for you unless you can sit on the front patio. But overall, Le Parisien Bistrot was an absolute delight. I felt like a friend of the house at the end of the evening. I will go back when I'm back in the city.

Tang Hanpei

Came here simply for the snail. Which cooked with pesto-like sauce, rather tasty.

Laura Powell

I love this restaurant! Not only for the wonderful caviar but all the food is great. The service is immaculate and super friendly.

Emilie Butcher

Very delicious food! Steak frites melts in your mouth and the fries were fantastic. Wine selection was very good as well. Very small, cozy place and the food is divine. Book ahead because it is very busy!

Deborah Hollander

Very good food.

Benjamin Selzer

Lovely atmosphere and service. Steak was a little undercooked vs. what I ordered and a little fatty.

Leon Lin

Great service, good tasting brunch options for a decent price. Had the poached eggs with salmon gravlax, which came with fries, salad, and a mimosa. Salmon was great, as were the fries and mimosa. Salad was alright. Place is small though.

Mark Hipp

Excelent food in a small space. Favorite place in the neighborhood.

Del Gold

great service and food

scott sitner

We went for brunch just walked past. Very cute Small. Friendly service. Had a croque madame and steak sandwich. The croque was very good. Comes with a salad but be warned they will ask if you want fries and they are 8 dollars and it’s a lot of food. Steak sandwich was good. Gruyere cheese was nice touch. Tasty side salad. Pleasant. Fifty bucks including tip but no drinks. Nice experience

Cameron Lang

Charming and delicious

Ehsanullah Wedee

Definitely try the French toast with coffee for brunch. It's amazing!

Alex Shyu

Delicious, cozy atmosphere and at such reasonable prices.

Kangning Li

The eggs benedict with salmon was really tasty! Their fries in particular were really good, very crispy. Service was excellent as well.

scott Laine

It's your local bistro you wish you had in your neighborhood. Always fresh, always spot on, always French. Escargot are amazing, steak frites are exceptional and the wine is generously served. Pay attention to the specials, they typically are in fact pretty special.

Emilio Conde

Great French and authentic food! Best french fries in the city!!

Tanner Chung

Good food but really pricey and you definitely won't be full. Especially for a cramped place.

joostg58

We had lunch there with my wife and 4-yr old daughter who somehow has gotten hooked on escargots (and no, we're not snobs). They are truly delicious here, as was the onion soup and the skate and even the calfs liver. Service is very unpretentious, but the girl behind the bar is there when you need her and knows her stuff. Wine list short, but enough and good prices. The decor with all those 50's advertisements is maybe a bit too much for my taste, but the grand mirror makes it very authentic. Absolutely recommendable and we'll be back!

E Damron-Cox

A charming mom and pop French bistro with truly delicious food, and courteous service.

Lucas Garvin

Absolutely amazing service, delectable food, inviting and calm atmosphere. Great as a date place or if you just want a nice night out.

Corinna Goodman

Great food at a good price!

Jim Aldridge

Second visit. Consistently good food and service. Good value for money. Update: four years, going strong and still consistently good.

Pierre Habib

Amazing food and service, really crowded!

Patrik Hobbes

I've been in several cities and I can tell this french restaurant is one great experience. The place is cozy, you can feel very welcome by the lady and sir running this place, the menu is simple but diverse, you have soups salads sandwiches, wine, dessert, and more. I was here between lunch hours and had a delicious mushroom soup, a grilled sandwich with awesome bread and dressing, and then the best creme brûlée, never been more pleased. Service is excellent, I'll surely be back again.

Lisa Streeter

Amazing hole-in-the-wall French restaurant. It's a tiny place so be sure to make a reservation.

Michael Clark

Very friendly staff and excellent food. The place is small, but you don't notice it while you are dining. A must visit!

Nolis Espinal

I've come here a couple times with my partner and I have never been disappointed. The food is so spot on I'm so glad I passed by this place after working out. It's fairly small, beautifully composed French cuisine. They also have a great selection of wine that does not disappoint.

cyril rouchon

Great place tasty food ...so French...and the staff is always accommodating and smiling all the time. If you had a bad day they bring the sun back ....thx le parisien!!!!!

Tony Li

Average, ok brunch deal, small place.

AWG

Good food, sensible prices, great atmosphere

Eric Bomze

Pleasant place in Murray Hill. Small but charming. Good prices. Brunch food was OK. My friends recommended it for dinner and I will give it a try.

Diana Oh

delicious!

Denby Liu

Had been meaning to try this place out for lunch for some time and finally had a chance to eat here. Glad we did try it out as the brunch food was nice. I went for Eggs Benedict whilst everyone else went for the Croque Monsieur. Both were tasty and good portion sizes. The restaurant is small, but the service was very fast. Will have to go back to try out the non-brunch French items.

Marcus Barnett

Start by saying i would definitely recommend to anyone. We are from Michigan, My girlfriend had the french onion soup and i had the duck with crispy potatoes. By far the best duck ive ever had. Melt in your mouth and buttery tender. My girlfriend said the soup was also the best shes had. Finished with the creme brûlée which is shareable for 2 people and very good. The waitstaff was polite and kind. They did not always ask how we wer doing and constantly checking on us, but we enjoyed that on a date night. And they wer attentive enough when i called for them being a small restaurant. I would call ahead for reservations just to be safe.

Zestina OH

Great food, great service Visited three times, was satisfied everytime Brunch menus are good

Doug Berman

Lovely place with great food and service. It feels like a charming restaurant in Paris.

Kenny Chang

Absolutely a place worth visiting, the food is excellent and well prepared, the pricing is affordable and it is always well organized here. Keep it up.

letters to my kids

Great bistro food like in france

Jon Petersen

Great little place for a dinner for two. Mussels were good, but the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon was better. Make sure to get a reservation, cause there aren't many tables. Would go back again.

Wendy L. Chang

Great French bistro

Angie G.

This is my go-to place for an intimate night. The food is unbelievable, and the service is just top notch. Amazing quality food, very intimate lighting and atmosphere.

Sreekanth Vupputur

Good French food served by friendly staff who knew what they were serving and about the history of their food. Felt like a more authentic French meals.

PJ

One of my favorite restaurants in New York City. It has so much charm and character you will feel like you are actually in Paris.

leigh Nacht

Great food and ambiance

Vivian Deng

Every bit of food here was worth the price; you can tell the food is very authentic French cuisine. I had the daily special (which was a roasted duck) and it was absolute perfection! My mother had the mussels; the taste and portion size was excellent. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was in Europe. I would definitely go there again.

Warren Lively

Eat most delicious escargot I have ever had

Peter Falco

Great little place, smallish in terms of seating. Good service, and tasty food.

Hanoch Rabinovitz

Very good French bistro, with over the top prices here and there

Rob Leas

Delicious.

Bruce Posner

A top notch French Bistro.

Howard Packham

Cute and authentic feeling Parisien restaurant. The service was a little brusque but functional; the food was great. The wine list is extensive and leans towards the more expensive option, but it works with the menu. The duck was outstanding and just the right quantity.

Farzad Sharif

Cozy spot with fast service and shorter waits than other brunch options. The poached eggs with gravlax and shoestring fries were excellent. The goat cheese and pesto frittata was good but not spectacular.

Gwen Roseman

Love this restaurant. Real true feel of France when you walk in to a small family restaurant.

Jaclyn Dietl

Waitress Christian is horribly rude. Went to eat dinner with my son, she told us the only way we could eat is if we sat outside because the are fully committed. (This is a Wednesday at 5:45 and the restaurant was almost empty) lol then we sat outside and I asked to take the order to go since my son was too cold to sit outside. I asked for a salad to go, 1 min later I said I’m sorry please forget it and she screamed at me “you better be”

Stéphane Stanton-Brand

A great find! Whether you're a local looking for an authentic French bistro in New York, or you are a French expat' who rarely goes to French restaurants because the food is too often "americanized", you should give Le Parisien a try, it will surprise you. It's unpretentious, really good & cozy. Had the skate fish and it was reallly, really good! I will keep this place in mind for future visits to the Big Apple.

Vishal Bangera

Food is delicious.... A must visit for a foodie... Highlights: escargot, soup (french onion or specials) and striped sea bass with rice cooked with black ink(special - if available)

Damien B

A real French bistro in the heart of Manhattan. Classic dishes and friendly staff.

Nice tiny place! Love the pork.

Michael Robinson

Came for some french cuisine and I was not disappointed! My father got the half chicken dish and I got the rainbow trout and they were both very delicious! We also got some french wine and escargots and they were also excellent. We got the creme brulee and profiteroles (cream puffs) for dessert and they were amazing, definitely get them! The place is small, but I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a delicious Parisian meal. Great service and a warm environment.

Bryan Margaca

Quick service w/ decent food options

k Larson

Had an ok meal, (nothing too good), but not disappointed by any standards.. However, after we finished our meal, we paid the bill and had a few sips left of our wine. A waiter promptly came over and said " I don't mean to be rude but I have other people I need to seat". This was after paying the bill and taking 5 minutes to leave. SOOOO disgusted with this place, we loved it in the past but will never go back again, They give French people a BAD name.

Nora Krieger

The food is wonderful. Tried the restaurant for the first time in May. I will definitely go back. Everything reminded me of eating in Paris. The place is small and could use a bit of upgrade but the food is wonderful

Kareem K

This place always delivers. They have fantastic food for convenient pricing, there are no long waits even when the place is busy.

Lynn Biondi

This small French Bistrot is a treat. The menu is classically French and simple. Soups, salads, several options for bowls of mussels, steak and frites, chicken paillard, escargot, etc. The dishes are carefully prepared with simple excellent ingredients, and also served with care. A modest and effective wine list. And all at very reasonable prices. I found Le Parisien while walking to the metro at dinner time in an area I don’t normally find myself - the draw was the vibrant busy crowd in a very nondescript simple venue. Voila! They are all here with good reason and it’s all about the food, the neighborhood ‘vibe’. You have the sense that everyone is a repeat regular visitor. Perhaps local. A return trip for lunch validated the dinner experience. It’s now a destination stop for an upper east sider. Book ahead. Only 25 to 30 in this small space.

Food Critique

A cute French place for small group gathering. Brunch was great, delicious food with mimosa or other drinks for just $16. Service was fantastic! Will definitely go back to check out dinner menu.

Tristan Louis

Solid traditional French food.

Lisa Wairimu

Brisk service. The food was a tad salty. The atmospher was drunken and quite loud at 1pm on a Friday afternoon and we did not mind.

Vanessa Gonzalez

Great food and service

Joe Kunkel

Consistently awesome!

Joanna Ogoszewska

Good onion soup, mussels and escargot. The interior needs some work.

Alvaro Correa

Ok, this is one of my favorites now. All from service to ambiance to food, loved it all. I had the specials of the day and wasn't wrong, excellent salad with fresh ingredients, lamb which was tender and flavorful, dessert which was just the right amount of sweet and pretty. Wine selection a bourdaux reserve that went perfect with the food. Will be back for sure.

Vlada Eliseeva

Very cute place. Great food. Make sure to make reservation before you go since the place doesn't have many tables.

Chris Cowley

Delicious food and a cute spot.

Pamela Nowak

Make a reservation because this place is packed every time I've been here. And Le Parisien deserves the attention because the food is outstanding. Everything was fresh, with clear flavors, beautifully presented. The service was quick, food was served promptly, and the meal moved along to a delicious conclusion with a chocolate mousse. Definitely going back!

Reyansh Gentry

This place simply knows how to satisfy their clients. Always with a welcoming mindset. The food is reasonably priced, constantly fresh and clean.

Michael Ryan

A great experience. Cannot fault it in any way.

Neroshan Thevakumaran

Cosy bistro with a good french menu. Their paper tablecloths threw me off, but it didn't take away from the food. I really enjoyed my steak.

Pauline Suwandhi

Great French food with reasonable price

Jan-alfred Aquino

An absolute gem of Kip's Bay. Brunch menuis affordable, portions are big, and the food is delicious! And the brunch menu inckudes free coffee or tea, as well. I have been several times and the service is always timely and friendly. My favorite place to take friends to brunch.

Jessica Tracey

Steak was well cooked, but a bit fatty. Frites were perfectly cooked. My only critique was that the wine sauce tasted more like wine poured on the plate rather than mixing with other flavors and adding to a good balance.

raba belkadi

Very good food at very affordable price A very good deal best value for the price the best place to go in Murray hill

SUSAN DIBAGGIO

Good for a quick meal.

Anre Garrett

My 3rd visit in about a month to this quaint French bistro, tells you something. Small restaurant, no glitz and glam but similar to cool bistros I have visit previously in Paris. Usually visit late at night, so tables being so close is not an issue as typically not packed. Service and food is consistently good which keeps me coming back. Whether a date night, fam & friends or even a business meal, it's a great spot which usually only locals know about. Look forward to my next visit.
