Excelente Wine selection, delicious french bistro
I go to this restaurant many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to to have a good dinner. I visit this place regularly. The cooking is fantastic, the staff is polite and the charge is reasonable. I like eating in this restaurant for a tasty dinner.
Decent food. Kitchen is open really late.
Good food
Very good
Food was good. Service was horrendous.
Free wine tastings at 6pm
J'adore Le Bateau Ivre!! One of my favorite spots in all of Manhattan, cozy, warm, exceptional food, brilliant service. I never fail to find myself in Le Bateau Ivre when I'm in NYC.
Short but well thought out wine list and good food.
Lovely atmosphere lots of wine choice
Ventilation problem causes clothes to smell like grilled food. Charming bistro setting. Food quirky with too much sauce enveloping duck breast and also crepes. Staff very nice and accommodating
Awful
Lovely French bistro.
Great place to relax and have your food
Great food and service. I'll be back.
Great food, very good wine selection in a great atmosphere... Would highly recommend for an evening to unwind and relax
Great French restaurant near Lexington Avenue. Samuel was our waiter and he was excellent.
Excellent
The duck is the best
Service is excellent, the wine selection is pretty good, and overall the food is super appetizing. Highly recommended
A guest preacher gave us great sermon. Beautiful church.
Love the food, Foie gras, snails and the steak! Good wine list as well!
The food was good but the service was despicable. We sat with dirty dishes on the table for over 20 mins. No one cleaned it up, until we asked. No one asked if we wanted more wine, coffee or dessert. They didn't even know how to give suggestions on the food. The manager never came over to out table, after we made a complaint to the waiter. They didn't even try to compensate by offering us dessert or coffee on the house. I will never go back or recommend this restaurant.
Very good experience. Accommodated gluten free requests without any problems. Foie gras, cassoulet, and duck leg were all delicious. Service was perfect.
Excellent place to go. I've been to Paris a few times. One of My favorite dishes is duck breast, and that's what I had here, and it was great!❤ Service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent
Excellent service, unreal wine list.
tiny gem serving great french bistro food. amazing wine list, especially large selection of wines by the glass.
Food was good. Service could be a little more friendlier.
Iphone was stolen while I ate diner at the bar. Staff were not helpful. They said the surveillance tape did not have my phone in it. Seemed very sketchy. The place was empty and they said the guy who had been sitting next to me was a regular client.
Apparently the owner of the establishment does not care much about its clientele as he refused to lower the volume of the music that was playing extremely loud. This place has a lot to learn about respect. As far as food is concerned, it was way too salty. I would not recommend this French restaurant. There are plenty of alternatives within a walking distance.
Couldn’t have asked for a better celebration of a friends’ birthday than here. So good, so attentive and super authentic.
Cozy French restaurant, love the Escargo as usual, the paella is a bit too watery to my taste though. I usually don't have much desert, but the profiteroles are simply amazing and highly recommended.
Quiet late night dinner after a concert. Wonderful service. Delicious mussels!
I love this place. They have amazing service and the ambiance is super warm.
Place is nice.Food is good. Service is awful. Loved the band playing today. Server didn’t know the menu, greeted other people who just arrived while we were waiting seated. Never asked if we needed more wine or water. Someone else had to grab the check cuz he was doing nothing.
A favorite for French food when I am in the city. It is a small (cozy) unpretentious restaurant with good food, wine and service.
Nice and cozy place for dinner
Such a good place. Try "les escargots à la bourguignonne" and " la tarte tatin" (ask creme frache with it, it's rare in NY to have this possibility. Maybe the 10th time that I go here.
My favorite little French restaurant in the city. I try to go every time I'm in Manhattan. They do a wonderful brunch and have a quaint wine tasting. Staff very friendly, many speak French, and the food is quite delicious. Great wine selection too
Awesome place. Great chef. Friendly staff. Flavorful food.
The food and service is excellent! !!
Best croque madame I've ever had. Really reasonable prix fixe lunch special. Service was a little slow so don't expect to fly out of here. But it's so cozy why would you want to leave. Have a second glass of wine and relax.
Excellente wines and food. And bottles of wine under $200 are 50% off after 10 pm
Unfortunately the rude waiter that brought the wrong meal twice would not take appropriate responsibility. Turned into French Arrogance. Will not ever return.
Nice spot in the ground floor of the Pod hotel. Good wine selection and good people watching both in restaurant and on the street..
Charming restaurant comparable to anywhere we ate in Paris.
Well known as a wine bar, this small, friendly boite consistently serves up the most authentic bistro fare in NY. The duck confit was perfectly done on my first visit, so I followed up on weekly visits with poulet roti, steak frites, steak tartare, along with their delicious appetizers and deserts. From a fan of French bistros, this ranks number one. Enjoy!
Love it
Pretty bad service, patronizing, slow. Could be in Belgium. But the prices are like New York.
Very good food and drinks. Helpful ,congenial staff and a cosy ambiance. Must for French food lovers.
Lovely, charming, small French bistro. Have only had lunch, which was delicious and reasonably priced. Only a few tables, so I imagine reservations are necessary for dinner.
Probably my favorite romantic restaurant in NY. Great French food, especially the escargots and mussels. Plus, their wine tasting offering is fantastic.
Splendid! A great place for a great meal. Lovely for a romantic date or a get together with good friends.
I was in New York for 5 nights. This was our most expensive meal and possibly the least memorable food. It was absolutely freezing cold as there are poorly shutting glass doors which I assume open in the summer. The service was very poor. The waiter was rude in that he didn’t appreciate the concept of service. He queried that I wanted two sides one veg and one potato. He then also made me feel awkward about ordering the apple tart as it takes some time to prepare. I thought they were closing or something and he was looking to get rid of us. But they weren’t! The tables are very close together which didn’t bother me but did allow me to witness a solo diner who ordered a glass of wine . He was then given a carafe of water . He said I don’t want water. The waiter basically ignored him and said have water and left the carafe. About 20 minutes later the man had to ask for his wine. The waiter had obviously decided he was having his wine with his food and only once it came no matter what the gentleman wanted. He was dining on his own, so if he wanted his wine when he sat down I can’t see why he wasn’t given it after he ordered. I wouldn’t recommend
Great little late night french cafe. I love this spot very warm and, cozy. The food was amazing. Very good service a little pricey though you are paying for quality.
Excellent service food prices and jazz
Wonderful ambience. Great selection of French wines and a mouth watering menu. All at reasonable cost.
Meh
Cozy French bistro with an outstanding wine selection. You can't go wrong on the menu and food is served until 4am daily. The brunch is also stellar.
Very good restaurant! Nice atmosphere and food. Will definitely come back.
Good food just probably need a good renovation
Highly recommend, especially late night dining. Leticia is an excellent host.
Cozy restaurant with a great French café type atmosphere. Also home to the best French onion soup I have ever had
(Translated by Google) This is a restaurant where the food is excellent, however, horrible customer service. The person who attended us apparently understood that he was doing us a favor, I do not think he understands that his commitment was to serve and serve the client He was an extremely intolerant person, we called him to ask a question and his comment was that we should not call him until we knew what we wanted to ask On several occasions he made racist comments and despite paying a 20% tip and making a considerable bill, where there were only three bottles in wine, plus several dishes his service was poor, irresponsible and racist It is a restaurant that I would never visit again (Original) Este es un restaurante donde la comida es excelente, sin embargo, un servicio al cliente horrible.
Everything I had at this small French place was wonderful, and the service matched. Try the prix fixe lunch.
Great wines, good ambience
Good breakfast option! The place was small and cute. Full of great brunch options. The space is so small that their live band makes it too loud to hear your own thoughts while enjoying your food. The servers couldn't decide whether to be attentive or ignore us for an hour.
Got bowel loosen after lunch
One of the best french eateries in the the city of new york!!! Arun & Raju is the best!!!!!
Quintessential Parisian!! Casual bistro style with fantastic and authentic food. The onion soup was one of the best we have ever had including the dozens of bowls actually in France. The chicken dish was superb and the house made profiteroles are life changing. A must for any lover of French cuisine. PS: great service too !
Great service and atmosphere, even better food. We will definitely be going back again.
This is hidden gem in the neighborhood. Stumbled upon it while searching for a brunch place. Life jazz music during brunch combined with a great food and bellini.
This is the kind of cozy neighborhood restaurant that has me fantasizing about moving to NYC. Very good bistro fare, attentive service, just right ambiance. Looking forward to the next visit.
Nice atmosphere and a delicious cassoulet
Consigliato
Alway the best for charcuterie and fromages plate with French wine
Enjoyed the cozy location and wine but our waiter was a bit pushy. The cheese plate istasty and small and the meats option is about double the size, good appetizers.
The brunch is great.
Really good
Server SAM K . (French guy )serve really rude and try to take your dinner plate so quickly (3-4 min time period)while you eating also he bring crazy amount of expensive wine for “sell “ for short period of time .. not customers enjoy drinking also he put tip 35% tip himself and do not tell customer that tip is included then not aware customers put tip again ... scam for make extra money . Not honest / dirty way to make money ! Not recommend for going this restaurant while he is there . Management is manipulated by him who knows what this guy doing cashier register steal extra money from customers why not he stealing from this restaurant owner too .... so many Restaurants I experienced since I was 8yrs old till this age I never had this kind of service from this $$$$ Restrant in my life . Hope server SAM K goes he’ll get karma stealing from Americans . I wish I can put NO STAR ! Hope owner wake up / open eyes !!!!!! Lots ppl warning that he is very bad / no heart at all .
I go here because consistently great steak tartare and a great wine list they are happy to let you taste. Everyone enjoyed their food, excellent steak frites with a peppercorn sauce that is good by itself, great salmon.
(Translated by Google) Well worth the experience despite the warm service the food is good (Original) Vale a experiência apesar do atendimento morno a comida é boa
Excellent brunch. Would love to go back and try their dinner menu
Great selection of wines, steak tartare was very good and a nice bistrot atmosphere
Tucked away in Midtown East this is a gem for the neighborhood locals
Excelent food and service.
Went again after a too expensive Italian dinner around the corner and was kicking myself for not spending all that money here on a better bottle and just plain tasty food. Fantastic in all key dimensions, ambiance, food, wine... can't wait to introduce another person to this establishment.
One of our favorite places when in NYC!
Slightly pretentious French Bistro type spot with excellent Croque Monsieur and Soup à L'Onion. Open late which almost makes up for pretentiousness.
Best duck magret EVER!
Best Steak Tartar!!!
Jazz brunch! Tolerated my toddler daughter well too. Thanks
I lived in France for a year. This place definitely has French cuisine figured out. Probably the BEST French meal ever, from appetizer to dessert!
Great place for a night cap and some late night snacks. Cozy and comfortable space.
Great place for casual meetings. Outstanding vine list, best escargot in the city. Pure french cafe!
Asked the manager to lower the salsa music they were blasting super loud, to which he made it even louder. Ruined my date because we could not out scream the music. At least their cooks enjoyed it as they were bopping their heads to it.
I actually enjoy the food and service, fantastic area very close to where I live. The employees are always friendly. Will come back again.
Food is mediocre ,but service is horrible and it such a shame ,because the place is cute, unfriendly ,nobody would ask if you need another drink. they cannot wait to clean and give you your check and see you go. Visited a place in the past was much better , no wonder its usually empty lately
(Translated by Google) Fine restaurant with French cuisine. There is also a selection of French wines. The restaurant is small but nice. At noon there was live music. I liked being here and ate well. (Original) Gehobenes Restaurant mit französischer Küche. Eine Auswahl französischer Weine gibt's auch. Das Restaurant ist klein aber nett. Mittags gab es Livemusik. Ich war gerne hier und habe gut gegessen.
This place is just amazing. A helpful and charming wait staff. Great quality food made with care. A slightly romantic interior. The food and service will blow you away.
Terrible food, overpriced and condescending service
