As of day this firm has a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and that score has been based on 577 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is quite high, and it is founded on a large number of opinions, so we can say that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of French restaurant.
*AVOID* Went from 5 to 1 star in a year. Clearly a kitchen shakeup happened and another is desperately needed. Hard boiled poached eggs on every plate. Cold muffin and ham. Thin french fries instead of home style potatoes. The only thing on point were the coffee refills. Dunkin would have been better.
Their crouque madame is my favorite in the city. And my friends rave about the french toast and pancakes.
Great menu, low prices, fantastic service. Really nice atmosphere, stopped here for lunch and would highly recommend.
The bartender Kim was great! and concocted an amazing rum punch!
Cool brunch spot. Busy but reasonable wait. Amazing pancakes, baked for 45 minutes to have a crispy outside with extreme fluffiness inside.
Great pancake, but the rest of the food was also great, I had the goat cheese and spinach croissant and my wife had the eggs benedict, they were both really good. The pancake is massive and can be shared between 4 people as a dessert
This place used to be so much better! The food was good but not great and the service was so bad. Super slow! We sat with empty table and drinks for what felt like 30 mins before they asked if we wanted the check.
This place is a gem! The manager (guy) was extremely delightful and treated us like family! Our meals were delish and fulfilling! Def a place to travel for! Will return to BK for this experience
Excellent service and delicious meal!!
It was my boyfriend's birthday and he's not a cake person so this pancake was literally the perfect alternative. So good and worth the wait just drink mimosas :D
Ordered the steak and eggs. I was really excited for it but everything came out cold. It wasn't even warm. The oven baked pancake was fresh out of the oven, and it was real good. A bit heavy, and you'll need to share it with 2 or 3 people, but definitely try it.
This great restaurant
French cuisine well captured. Always busy but that's good sign.
The pancakes take forever to come but are worth the wait. The croissants are so good. Everything is amazing.
I come back for the brunch any time I'm in NYC! I genuinely think it's up there with the best! Great food - amazing Croque Madame - you can't beat it! Highly recommend - but get there on time or be prepared to wait a little!
So good.. Omg this crispy fluffy pancake is awesome.. The wait for it is 45 mins because they are made to order so call ahead they will make it so u can get it when it comes out the oven.
Tremendously over rated ! Bad coffee served spilled all over de cup, bad juice, and awful pancakes! They are supposed to be one of their best dishes but they serve two massive balls of dough with four or five blueberries and half a strawberry, that’s it! For $ 20 usd There are a lot better places with much better prices !! Wouldn’t go back nor recommend.
Pancakes takes 45 minutes but they are worth it.
Great delicious food.
Our 3rd Anniversary there, this place is amazing.
Cozy place and good food, nice place for Saturday afternoom
my favorite best drinks fresh seafood all the time
My first time here and pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the service was great. They have great bread.
Came here for restaurant week and enjoyed escargot (Loved), onion soup (Loved) and moules et frites (Pretty Good). Mussels could have had a minute or two longer in the cook as a few hadn't opened up. Service was a little tardy considering it wasn't very busy. I'll be coming back for sure.
Delicious food, do not miss the duck hash. Friendly service even during brunch rush. Great date spot ambiance
Good brunch spot. Lots of seating. Almost no wait. Great coffee, and good fatty brunch. Try the duck confit hash as it was delicious. Salads were Ok.
Great place. Great eats, awesome atmosphere and Excellent service
Super good food. I love this place!
I experienced a delicious brunch but the service could have been better. We waited a while for water and one of our items was forgotten. Very nice staff tho.
Amazing place, great choice for breakfast
Cool spot for brunch in Williamsburg! We decided to go the standart way! French toast, eggs and sausages! Also we tried the mushroom omlet which was amazing! The service is more than excellent! However the place is so popular, and it takes forever to get your order in the busier times!
Outstanding brunch!!! Quick service and lots of people so you know the food MUST be good. It is!!
Food was AMAZING!Service was wonderful!!!French toast and almond croissant were delicious!
Great setting and décor but menu is woefully overpriced given the portions. Food-wise, it's a glorified diner. Quality food, but in the end you're paying way too much for what is a pretty standard breakfast.
Excellent food with attentive service. I ordered an avocado tartine which was nearly perfect save just one bite that was a bit salty. I would encourage those trying to limit their salt intake to let their server know their preferences. I also enjoyed a delicious Kir Royale and a cup of coffee that was decidedly average for the price. I plan to skip the coffee and order a latté on my next visit.
Had a totally delicious brunch here this morning as is often the case. However, the service was definitely an issue. Our waiter (I believe his name was Angel) offered very subpar service and very short with us. Rushed us and made a bunch of errors. It was no big deal but it definitely wasn’t good service at all, so we left a 15% tip. Myself and the 6 others in my party were appalled when the server followed us out of the restaurant to hunt us down and complain about the tip. Our guests from out of town were super surprised (he behaved as if we had totally stiffed him) This restaurant should be above this kind of behavior and it will deter us from returning.
They’re closed. Arrived at 11am today (Sunday) and the gate was shut tight and locked. Their homepage reads that they’re closed until further notice. Save yourself the trip! Or call ahead to confirm.
All meals are fantastic, cocktails are choice but wine and beer options are also great. If you go for brunch get the pastry basket!
Love it. Looking forward to go back and try their famous pancakes.
Went here for my Anniversary Breakfast. We enjoyed our meal. The Pancakes was great. I wish bananas was an option for the topping..
Very good food. French portions (small). Good draft beer selections. Staff friendly.
I’m glad they are doing well with brunch because someone is asleep at the wheel at dinner. I’ve been going to this place since it opened and granted they’ve evolved and it’s much improved since that time..... 2006? We went there recently on a Saturday evening at 7:30-8, party of 5, two of us were pescatarians.... they have a very limited menu to begin with (8 options or so) only two of those are vegetarian/pescatarian friendly and they didn’t have either! (They were also out of the cassoulet and creme brûlée) This is New York City! How do you run out of PASTA with mushrooms???? Your ONLY vegetarian offering!? Then you are also out of salmon?? This is restaurant 101. If you can’t keep stocked with the very limited items on your menu then maybe it’s time to close shop. We were both reduced to having a side of Mac n cheese (minus bacon) as our entree, good flavor but made with the most basic cheap elbow pasta. I wanted a dining experience not a side dish made from cheap 2/$1.00 pasta. Oh and the barricou salad, which I’ve always enjoyed here was entirely missing any hint of Parmesan, a key ingredient, Guess they were out of that too. Next time I’ll try one of the many new restaurants in the hood, I’ll never gamble on this sub par place again. The meat eaters were happy with their food but we all felt the same way, if all of us can’t have a quality meal the restaurant isn’t doing it’s job. This is NYC in 2019 guys, wake up!!
Solid and unpretentious French fare at reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere and if you drink, they make terrific highballs and we'll executed traditional cocktails - the absinthe drip is devilish.
Great brunch spot. Get the pancakes
Been here a few times with friends, good place for brunch.
Service was great. Restaurant was spacious. Food was so good. I had the scrambled eggs, grapefruit and the pancakes. Everything was on point. The pancakes take a while, about 45 mins but so worth it. My husband and I split one order of pancakes (they’re huge) and we couldn’t finish.
I’d like to start the review off by saying that I have eaten A LOT of brunch in many different restaurants. With that said this is the best dish I have had in years! I had the lamb sausage with eggs and potatoes. The flavors were on point and I couldn’t believe how satisfying this meal was. My wife had the duck confit with eggs and potatoes as well. She was very happy with her meal. The owner/manager(I assume) walked by every table a few mins after each table receives there dish and checks to make sure everything is great. Nice touch!
What a lovely French restaurant! Had a great time here for dinner. The food was great and so was the service! I wish there were more like it.
Aaaamazing from the food to the atmosphere! The brunch wait can be crazy, but the pancakes are definitely worth the wait (45 mins from ordering to bake).
Jhosiah is the best server I've experienced, probably ever! And I've worked in the service industry for close to 8 years. He's a gem. Ask for him!
Food is awesome and while the staff is very nice, the service overall is very slow. Still a great spot and would recommend to anyone.
I just went to this place today for brunch and I SAW A RAT RUNNING FROM THE BACK PART TO THE ENTRANCE. IT WAS COMPLETLY GROSS AND DISGUSTING! I SAW HOW THIS BIG RAT WALK THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE'S FEET AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I ASKED TO TALK TO THE MANAGER AND SIMPLY TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD AN EXTERMINATOR A FEW DAYS AGO AND THAT WAS ALL. HE DID NOT CARE, HE SAID THAT HE COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. HE SIMPLY DID NOT CARE. I AM NEVER RETURNING HERE. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A RESTAURANT FEELS IT IS OK TO HAVE A RAT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A CONSTRUCTION NEXT TO THEM. RATS HAVE DISEASES AND CARRY FLEAS WITH MORE DISEASES WITHIN THEM. JUST SO MORTIFY THAT THE MANAGER DID NOT CARE AND LEFT US. IF I COULD GIVE A 0 STARS TO THIS PLACE I WOULD!!!
Went to dinner on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy which was good and also surprising. Everything we ordered was amazing! Escargot, pate, risotto, fries + more were so tasty. Definitely planning on coming back for more!
Food and service always top notch!
Beautiful little restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg. Wonderful decor and staff - though I wouldn't order the beet salad again.
Great brunch items. Their duck hash and croque madame was very tasty. The croque madame wasn't typical, there was 2 slices of bread and they were pretty large but still good.
Came here for brunch and it was delicious! Amazing mimosas and great food. Service was was friendly and quick. You might have to wait for a table 10 or 15 minutes depending on what time you arrive.
Wow. So every good thing they say is true. Yes! The pancakes take 40mins but they are BAKED TO ORDER. If you don't like to wait, then order something else. :) Their mimosas are heavy handed. Love that. My mother's brunch burger special was cooked to perfection. We got there around 11a and that seems like the perfect time to arrive. No wait, but got busy quick. Service was fast and attentive. I will be back to try the eggs Benedict.
Beautiful location and tasty food :)
This is my friend Jake he really likes this place plus the pancake was really good.
Two stars for great service and drinks, however the food was absolutely awful. I ordered eggs Benedict and croque madame. Virtually no hollandaise sauce came on my eggs and the bacon was all fat. Inedible. I had to pull it apart with my hands. The bread on croque madame was burnt and impossible to cut and we found eggshells in the egg on top. This came with French fries which looked old and very shriveled. I am very confused by the positive reviews and incredibly disappointed.
Went there for brunch. Place was busy and decided to sit at the bar. It was my first time there. The food is amazing. Their pancakes if you can call it that were out of this world. Warning the pancakes take 45 min to be made but worth the wait.
Food is a little heavy for my taste, but hey - it's a French bistro. Service was great
This place is so cute and intimate. I'm having my birthday dinner here tomorrow night! The food is delicious and the prices are great and you can have a lot of fun with friends here. The ratatouille is really good. I heard the brunch is good so I want to try that soon.
We went there for breakfast at 10am and there was a line in front of a closed restaurant. The interior is very cool, old and french vibes, the waiters very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! We had french toast and eggs norwegian, both very tasty! We would definitely go back for pancakes, which apparently take 45 minutes because they are oven baked and we didnt have much time.
Love their brunch and the setting. Not too busy but great atmosphere. The chicken club was so good and friends got omelettes and loved them.
Really disappointing. Waited forever, got cold steaks delivered.
This used to be, hands down, my favorite brunch place. But on my most recent visit, my favorite dish was raised in price by about $4. Ok. Inflation yada yada. But I paid $21 for duck and got maybe 3 tablespoons worth of meat, a poorly dressed handful of greens, and a potato. Service has improved, but it’s jumped the shark. Lower quality, higher prices. Pass.
Always enjoy brunch here. The atmosphere is very cozy. The food and people are always great.
Three stars for the atmosphere. The food is decent, but not good. Chef can't execute the classic French dishes. Palate runs sweet and bland, not balanced. I much prefer La Sirene in Soho if you'd like to taste true French gastronomy.
French diner. French toast was very tasty. My sister went crazy with 2 menu items including duck confit and eggs florentine.
Good brunch spot, nice service, great meal Come and try it
As an individual who's experienced many French cafes nothing quite captures the authenticity of the Parisian morning or afternoon then this little gem hidden and unexpected part of Brooklyn. One can practically smell the fresh baked baguettes in the air.
Great service and Delicious food
Great food and good service
Try their escargot ❤️
Their Croque Madame is the most delicious. Their food tastes fresh and even their pastries taste baked the day of. Prepare to wait if you go around brunch time (11-2), but it’s with the wait.
Stopped by for brunch. Street parking wasn't difficult to find on a Sunday. 45min - 1hr wait for the baked pancake, but it was good. So you'd have to save room in your stomach. Ordered the eggs benedict and fries. The fries were fried so much that it just tasted like chips. Probably done on purpose. Also had the steak and spinach croissant. When the food came two dishes were cold. Steak was chewy. Fries were cold. Great service though.
Beautiful French restaurant. I had the Mushroom and spinach omelette. It was delicious.
pricey but the food is excellent
Love this french place. I always come for lunch on weekends. It's a little crowded with a bit of a wait sometimes, but never too long. Super cozy and really nice atmosphere.
Not what it used to be. I kept going to this place out of nostalgia but the disappearing quality got more disappointing each time. The place is unclean and the staff is so “busy” you can literally go the entire brunch without coffee. I had to ask multiple serves for it only to realize there was no sugar on the table. When they finally brought it, there was with no milk for it either. The food took over 45min to arrive. Portions are decent and the food is alright.
Sat outside with my doggie and they took great care of both of us. Great food.
Great breakfast/ light lunch spot. Except they didn't have any milk alternatives. Very French. Don't expect a lot of vegan/ gluten free, but if your okay with that, it's a really good spot to eat!!!
Great food, nice atmosphere, excellent desserts. Very friendly server.
One of my go-to spots to grab something to eat. great location, well kept, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend them!
Great local spot for delicious French bistro food. Pleasantly not loud. Only negative: not much vegetarian, no vegan.
Super tasty and laid-back. Cute vibe and not too noisy so we could actually have a conversation and hear each other without shouting. Will bs back!
Really good food and beverages. The service was good as well. The ambiance was very Frenchish. I would eat here often if I lived in NYC.
Food was good. We went on a really cold day. Thought it would be warm inside, it wasn't. Staff was courteous.
Love the place. The food is great, the ambience is great, the place is great for dinner or brunch or lunch and the people working the tables and the kitchen do an awesome job not matter the time of the day. Highly recommended.
Brooklyn-style French-cafe brunch spot. Crowded in a good way at the right times, for good reason. As far as brunch fare goes it was on-point. The Bloody Mary is deliciously spicy, and they know how to make a Kir Royale. The poached eggs were soft and the frites crisp. The baked pancakes, which take 45-60 minutes to prepare, is worth the wait.
I thought my food here was delicious and reasonably priced given that the quality was high. The pancake was amazing. I wouldn’t go here more than once every couple months because of the high price, but I think it’s worth checking out if you are around.
Delicious food and great service
Amazing food, but a long wait for a table
Good food, nice for a weeknight dinner when it isn't too crowded. Overrated for the crazy weekend brunch wait.
We had a wonderful time at this spot. We enjoyed the first-rate vibes and the food. The staff are super welcoming. I am happy we eventually decided to visit this place.
This is a totally overrated place. I went there with my nephew there today. We got seated immediately. The water was served immediately. Then, they forgot about us. After ten minutes, the waiter acknowledged us. He showed up about five minutes later. I joked, asking him if he forgot about us. He actually took an attitude towards my comment. No serious apology given, just an excuse; he had lots of tables to attend. Yet, I saw so many other waiters doing nothing. If you are not going for those fancy pancakes, go to IHOP instead and save your money. Twenty one dollars a head for an average omelette with coffee is not worth it.
I had the duck confit, amazing! The pancakes were even better. Although they took some time to make it was better than what I expected! It's important to know that the pancakes are rather large so plan your meal accordingly!
Cool and cozy place, specially the room in the back. Brunch was delicious and staff are nice.
My family and I go here every year for my mom's birthday. This year was especially special because it was the first year i got to personally treat my mom. Everyone here made her birthday so special, and even changed the radio for her and sang her happy birthday too. The owner was especially kind. Every server here deserves a hug and a special note. Thank you so much for making my mom's birthday special. I'm sorry we stayed a bit after hours. We're really thankful, and as usual, we'll be back next year.
Good service, good food, adorable back room. The menu could use a few more "veganizable" dishes, but hey, it is a French restaurant with a pretty authentic French menu, so it's not exactly an obvious fit.
Steak and eggs were good, duck hash was not really a hash, more like a little bit of duck, on top of a lot of eggs and bland potatoes. Pancakes were delicious, but take 45 minutes- 1 hour. Service was lacking.
The menu, though not expansive, was delicious. The atmosphere in the front room trabsports you to a classier time and features great jazz while the back room looks and smells like a private library in and old manor. The escargot was perfect in texture and flavor, and the melon and prosciutto salad was simple and light. The steak au poivre was perfectly cooked to a nice medium rare. The beer bourguinon was scrumptious! With two glasses of wine, we spent under $150 after tip. A great spot if you're looking for French fare without the cost of fine dining.
Whether it's for brunch or dinner, I've enjoyed all my visits here.
Hello, I came in because I heard some great things about the pancakes. I was seated at the bar and immediately, and I mean immediately forgotten. After a couple minutes I asked the bartender. The only person who noticed me was the bartender. I ordered water and pancakes and sat for over 25 minutes with no idea what was going on... Was my order placed? Does anybody care? Finally the bartender came over and asked if I'm waiting for somebody, I said that I'm waiting for my pancakes. He replied that it usually takes an hour. After I realized that he had no idea that he placed the order for me and that the pancakes may in fact never come I left. Thanks.
While I wouldn't call this place French, more of a French themed American Brunchery. Still, an absolutely wonderful place. Great food, great drinks, and those pancakes! WOW! Just an overall terrific experience we had. While I don't care to schlep to Williamsburg too often, I would just for that hollandaise.
We came here for Sunday brunch around 11:00 am, and we were blown away! Atmosphere and ambiance: friendly, homey, tight. The hostess greeted us as soon as we opened the door. The décor is very French, very artsy, and interesting to look at. The bathroom entrances are quite cute as well. The dining space itself was tiny and very tight. We had to move the mason jars and the flowers to an adjacent table to make room for tea and drinks. If you weren't careful enough, you could knock glassware and China off the next table. Food: so delicious, so worth the wait (which was quite short even though the hostess said 25 minutes). We ordered the oven-baked pancakes as soon as we sat down; it takes a while to make and actually came with perfect timing right after we finished our main brunch entree. For our main entrees, we got the duck confit hash and spinach/goat cheese croissant. The hash was seasoned to perfection, and the croissant was crunchy, airy, and well put together. The pancakes came with a pink butter (maybe strawberry with mint), and fruits on top. They were fluffy but crispy on the outside... and absolutely Instagram-worthy. All three dishes are definite must-tries! Service: efficient and knowledgable. Our server was extra friendly, very accomodating (to the family with children next to us), very knowledgable about the dishes, and so efficient. All drinks and dishes came with good timing, and all requests were met. I will be back for lunch and/or dinner!
nice place for a brunch. was very satisfied.
The cocktails are the best addition to your brunch!
Great food & great service. I try to get something new every time I go here. But i always get the French toast after my main entree. It’s definitely a must. They’re big enough to share. The spinach & goat cheese croissant is one of my favorites.
Great food, excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere!!!
great place for Brunch! the baked pancakes is a must! they are just delicious but takes good 45 min to get to table after ordering.
Nothing else to say but GO!! And make sure u try the french toast....it's TO DIE FOR!!
Service was average at best.. the tire-sized pancakes are worth the wait however!
A great French restaurant for a romantic evening out. Food is good. Cocktails are excellent. Had creme brulee for dessert - a must have tasty treat to end a meal. The staff is friendly, attentive and courteous. Will definitely be going back.
Simply amazing! The best pancakes in the world. We also had eggs Benedict, french onion soup, salads and they were all delicious. Fantastic atmosphere!
Very nice staff, huge portion and delicious food. Accommodating for kids as well.
The 20 minute wait for a table was understandable (and not too bad, considering the brunch rush), but the 40 minute wait for the meal was not. Poached eggs classically overdone and unequal, salad limp, service poor.
Best french toast in my entire life. Better than any french toast in France.
Great food great service . The fries is too good. They have a long line but it’s worth waiting.
This is a good place to sit and have brunch. My daughters favorite order are the pancakes. They literally make two thick and large cakes in a pan. Pretty cool and delicious! I would have given 5 stars to this restaurant however, in summary, they lack the most important ingredient, customer service. Long story... It really has an "it is what it is," feel to it. Knowing the pancakes take about 45 minutes to cook, I pre-ordered in advance for my little ones and informed the hostess. After waiting about 30 minutes for seating and our entire party ordering, I felt confident that everyone's food would come out at about the same time. About 20 minutes later the adults food came out and there were no pancakes. Ok, that's possible, right? So another 10 minutes later I noticed that the party near us ordered their pancake on the table earlier and received it before our order came in. Upon mentioning the concern to the waitress she said, "let me check with the manager." Then the manager comes to our table and ask if their was an issue. I never requested the manager for a simple issue as pancakes, but ok. After informing him of the concern his response was that the pancakes can sometimes take more than an hour and he began to educate me and the table on this. WHAT?!? So I informed him that the table close by ordered after me and received their pancakes before my children whom I pre-ordered for.
The fattiest pancakes...mmmm...
Enjoyed the food, nice atmosphere and staff. Worth visiting for brunch
Literally fell in love with this place. Charming. Homey. Warm. Comforting and delicious food.
We love the Barricou and come quiet often. Food is always good and they have a great wine selection. I would recommend the coq au vin and share a flourless chocolate cake for desert. Even if the place looks small from the front it is very big, so when it looks packed we always managed to get a table. The decor is very cute and staff is nice. I'll visit again!
The food and service were ahead of our expectations. I truly loved the ambience of this spot. Amazing place to take my family out for dinner.
I love this place. The food is very delicious. The croque madame is the best. The only downside is waiting for an hour to be seated (well, it was the weekend + raining). But all in all, worth the wait!
Top Notch service. It feels like I am in France. The food is incredible. Wine selection is varied and tasty.
We went here for brunch and the food was very good. My eggs were cooked beautifully with a super creamy hollandeise sauce. Fries were crispy, like not always happens! But please, more french pastries and desserts on the menu!!!
Order the coq au vin. The best.
Great brunch spot with a good atmosphere and awesome pancakes. Order the pancakes as soon as you arrive as they take ~45 minutes
My gf and I came in for dinner. We were treated very poorly. The server told us they might not be able to serve us because the kitchen closes in 30 minutes. She was going to ask the bartender for permission, but couldn't effectively communicate situation to bartender. So I asked if it was too late to order nd he said no. After this uncomfortable exchange we wanted to sit in the back area. There was space for us and other people people in section and she said that she couldn't let us sit there. I was shocked at our treatment, so we walked out. Was really looking forward to some steak. Oh well.
Great place for brunch. Food is very good and with very good portion size with several omelette and poached egg options. If you come for their pancakes be ready to wait at least 45mins for it to be served. But the wait is worth it! The pancake is very good and different. The place is nice and cozy for a date or for small group of friends. Totally recommend.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced in Williamsburg, ruined Mother’s Day, didn’t cook to order, promised side replacements and then just ignored them, seriously... amazingly bad service for Williamsburg, the worst after living here for 10+ years. Updated as owner is a sweet guy who went out of his way to make things right.
Delicious French Brunch. Laid back. So friendly. A Must Go
French food very good service also very good seeding is tight. For brunch there is always a typical wait time to be seated.
Arrived early, right when they opened, for a birthday brunch with the fam. Service was excellent, the food good, the Bloody Mary was tasty and had a good amount of vodka. What else do you need? There were quite a few families with little children, but what do you expect at 10am? Those people gotta eat too.
The food quality was amazing! One of the best brunches I've had in recent memory. We were a party of 4 and all ordered different things and shared a bite with each other because we were all raving about how good ours was. Lol. The brunch menu is a bit limited but everything on it was great. The pancakes for dessert were superb and perfect to share for 4. They don't accept reservations for brunch.... All walk-ins. The back room is a bit warm on hot days but has natural light. Cocktails were high quality as well and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend it.
Excellent service, friendly and well-maintained staff.
Food is ok but the people that own it and answer the phones are the rudest people. It makes it very hard to go there. Just dealing with them alone makes good food unenjoyable.
Just had to second my bf's one star review. Came in last night at 9:30. Despite the pouring rain it was almost 50% filled in both dining areas. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a mumbled 'um, our kitchen is closing in 30 minutes. I'm not sure if we can serve you. We knew we wanted steak and told them it would only take a second to order. Still some serious refusal from the waitress. She was mumbling around towards the bartender yet he couldn't understand the: 'can we, should we serve them...' So my bf spoke up and the bartender said of course we can serve you. Upon trying to finally get seated she refused to seat us in the back area even tho there were at least 4 tables occupied. By then, combined with her attitude, we left. Never heard of a restaurant that stopped serving food 30 minutes before the kitchen closes. Sure, if we're a 6- top and come in 15 minutes before I get the attitude... but we should have still been served.
Delicious brunch with good atmosphere and friendly service. We walked in at 11:30 on a Saturday to a full restaurant but still got a table. ORDER THE PANCAKES! You won’t regret it.
You're paying for the atmosphere. Also they don't split the check.
Delightful little French-inspired restaurant in Brooklyn. They have these lovely little elements scattered throughout the space that make your time there interesting and the food is excellent like greenery, fresh flowers, wallpaper made from wheat pasted copies of Le Monde. We went for brunch and enjoyed their duck hash.
My favourite brunch place near Bushwick. Excellent food, large portions and the best Bloody Mary I've had just about anywhere. Interior 8s nicely set up and I like it is set up in sections as that helps keep the noise in this busy place in check so you can have a nice conversation over your Eggs Benedict or pancakes.
Good brunch, great food, okay service.
We had pancakes and Norwegian eggs and they both were amazing. Love the no frills interior!
Very
Ordered the mussels, duck liver, and coq au vin. The mussels were delicious!!!! Def recommend getting. The coq au vin is so tender, fall off the bone. It sat in a bed of mash potato and was garnished with lardons aka bacon which added a nice light salty taste. The portion was very generous. The duck liver was ok just the bread to liver proportion was off. There were 2 thick slices of the liver but only 1 slice of toast sliced in half. We needed to ask for more bread. It is more on the light side. We asked for olive oil to drizzle on top and it was perfect.
Expensive but the food is delicious! Difficult to find parking. Large groups beware!! As there are no reservations, you will have to wait for the next available large table...
Order the pancakes as soon as you meet your server, then relax and enjoy...
Excellent if you go there for brunch. Want to eat healthy? Try their avocado toast which is amazing. Want to live the real life? Then go head-in into their fabulous croque-monsieur. You've never add anything like it in your life. Add a bloody mary on the side and the experience is complete. Although you might need help to get out of the restaurant afterwards...
The food I'd good but the bathroom's look atrocious
Great bartenders, great service, amazing food!!!! Go for brunch it's awesome. They also have a fireplace!
This restaurant is super cute and cozy, the food is excellent and the staff very nice. If you go you must order the pancakes!! There is a back garden which is really nice during the spring and fall.
Lovely place! Amazing breakfast. Try the pancakes, it's worth the wait, do share this dish, it's a lot of pancake ;)
The best brunch I had while visiting Brooklyn. I went there twice in five days but hands down the best service, food and kindness at the start of these days was so lovely and made the rest of my day great. The attention to gluten free was important to me and everything we all ate for the two visits was delicious. Keep at it! xoxo
