REVIEWS OF Jules Bistro IN New York

Daniel Tise

Food was delicious. I got the short ribs, they just melted in your mouth which I love. I can't stand overcooked meat that is chewy. The live band also gave a great atmosphere. I would come back with friends.

Mariah Jackson

Great customer service and the band for the night was very friendly. I expected more jazz like rhythm and blues. It was closer to rock n roll when I went. More types of food should be offered. Other than that it was a very chill night.

Marta Bonati

Very good experience, warm goat dish was awesome! Very comfortable vibe and stylist environment. If I come back to Ny, Jules is a place to visit again! Price is fair it's not a uptight french restaurant

richard duenas

Great service, food is good and reasonably priced. Entertainment with live jazz in an unrushed environment.

sandra flaishmakher

Wonderful little gem in the east village. French food (spectacular) and jazz every night. Mussles are great and the wine list is perfect. Recommend to make reservations since its a small place, specially in weekends. Enjoy the music and the fantastic food!

Lily Winkler

Such an east village gem! Great music and food. Nice decor. The tables are very close to each other, so if that bothers you, maybe it could be a pass. But all in all, everyone in EV should visit Jules

Volha Talatynik

I was really disappointed because of staff. I'm not a wine expert and can name wine incorrectly but it's not a reason to laugh behind my back. This is so offensive. I feel like I shouldn't stay there. I never come back to this place or recommend it to anyone.

Jules Cassagnol

Love this venue. Jazz bands were great, food was delicious. Great place for a first date!!

Andrew Isted

We arrived on time but there was an annual event the restaurant hosts for a school still on going. No problem, we sat at the bar and had complimentary food and drinks whilst the group finished. A quick turnaround and we had the best seats in the house. The food wasnt cheap but worth every penny. It was devine.

The vibe is rustic and intimate. The music is smooth. The hanger steak with mushroom risotto and shallot-red wine reduction literally made me shed tears of pleasure. I get it every time. The oysters are very fresh, the steak tartare is excellent. Decent wine selection too. One of my favorite restaurants in New York!

Vishal Luchoomun

Very good food and service. The waiters are very friendly. The live music is the icing on the cake. Great dessert. Will surely go back.

Stephen Crocker

Dany Rohart

Best pancakes! Best delicious fingerling potatoes and eggs Benedict! Best live music!

Aleksandra Tripodi

Great music, delicious food but place is very small and another table is exactly 5 inches from you. We really enjoyed first 30 minutes but then they sat another table right next to us . No space to even stand between tables.

Ben Perry

Jules Bistro is lovely. My wife and I come here for brunch every weekend. The food and music is wonderful.

Kazmo Groove

Love this place. Every time I'm there, they treat me very well. They treat me almost like their family member. Wines? They are french, they know what they are doing. Food is good. And I love the live music here. I got to go back there real soon.

Jean-Claude Santini

Last minute idea. Was a mid size to small place so I was lucky to get seating for two. Waitress was excellent, good was very well made. My father owned a steak house and the cook grilled my steak perfectly!!!! And that is very hard for me to admit. Now why only 4 stars....jazz was good but band kept cycling some chord progression and didn't really spice things up. A little of beat here and there...would have liked some better tunes. Price was what you'd expect...no drink minimum...$2.00 cover charge was not expensive but wasn't told I'd be charged the fee... WE..... had a great experience and will go back again.

Tom NYC

Jazz bar with white table clothes. The set up is just a bit off with the band preforming in the back but with the tables angled so half the ppl cannot look at the band.

Leo Ching

Great restaurant with friendly staff. The nightly live music is wonderful to eat dinner too. It isn't too loud nor distracting, and adds a lot to the whole dining experience!

Laura Hoerner

This place is honestly amazing. I got the croque madame and it was so tasty! We sat on the little patio on Jean Baptiste Day and it was truly magical. There was a French jazz singer and band playing inside. The waiter taught us how to properly pronounce our menu choices. Overall, an lovely experience and we will definitely be back!

Dr RaDra

I liked this place, although it bothered me that they price like in France, not like the local custom. In other words, you pay extra for the "couvert", basically for the bread and the service of them setting the table. Would go back for the music.

Michael Allongo

Had a mixed experience. Went for brunch. Mimosas were good. BLT was excellent. French toast was terrible. A bit hit-or-miss depending on what you order.

Aleksandra Chumak

Delicious food, charming atmosphere and live music. I love mussels there, warm goat cheese and escargot.

Bradee Dugstad

Food- excellent, wine -excellent. Everyone knows it cause it was busy. Go before 7:30pm (that's when the music starts) definitely make a reservation

Ebru Hocaoglu

Great live music, tasty food! Perfect option for a couple or 4. I highly recommend the Branzino fish.

Frederick Wright

Twenty five years in business - I think I've been going here since they first opened. Reliably excellent live music venue, seven nights a week, with no cover. Gracious service and moderate prices. The food is a bit dated, but certainly palatable enough. The only serious issue that I've ever had has been the temperature. Tables are close together and there's no air conditioning, so even on chilly autumn evenings with the windows open the place can be stiflingly hot.

This rustic French bistro joint has a great atmosphere with an intimate,i chic and cozy setting. It's celebrating 26yrs on St. Mark's which is a testament to how good this place is. It serves up delicious classics like steak-frites and moules-frites that you can pair with a fantastic French wine. If you're in the city on the lower east side looking for dinner, then definitely stop by this spot to enjoy classic French bistro cuisine and listen to a live Jazz band after 7pm nightly sans cover fee. I'll definitely be checking out their brunch next time. Á Votre Santé!

A gorgeous place with excellent ambience and dining experience. We went when it was quiet on a weekday evening, and were greeted with friendly staff and a relaxing, cool atmosphere. The live music wasn't too loud, food was very good, and …

Seravin Behnken

Warm ambience. Great live jazz music when they have it and it's not too loud to have conversations. The truffle fries were perfection. It's so easy to overdo truffle but they did not.

Kristin Welch

Beautiful atmosphere great food and ahhhhh the music

Anely Gomez

Amaizing the foie grass and the jazz band

Lisa Davis

Lovely place !Vintage East Village French Bistro with live Jazz and uncomfortable, effortlessly cool.vibe.

Nicole

Enjoyed dinner here with live music. The music was great, and the food was delicious. I had a delicate fish dish with mashed potatoes, it had a lovely pan sauce to die for. Everything was tasty. The only have wine and beer, no hard liquor.

Lionel Blunden

Classic steak frites, expat waiters & nightly live jazz bring a touch of Paris to St. Marks Place.
