REVIEWS OF Joe's Pizza IN New York

Yaser Haddawi

Absolutely delicious. The cheese and the Sicily style cheese were phenomenal

Charlie Matthews

Im a Floridian transplant from Long Island. Grew up on good pizza and was in the city with family last week and tried Joe's after reading the reviews. It did not disappoint. The line was out the door at the Broadway/40 St location but it was worth the wait. The slices were perfect. We went back numerous times during our stay for slices. Definitely try if you are in the area.

Richard Hughes

Why is the pizza so popular that my daughter insisted on standing in line 45 minutes. No idea. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is very good, but not better enough to stand in line surrounded by construction and walls of black plastic bags oozing refuse and stinking of decay. We were approached numerous times by folk so high they couldn't even speak and I moved my daughter between me and the wall in concern for her. The pizza, the shop and the ambience are all great, but where do you go in NY for bad pizza?

Sanjay Sharma

Open late. Always has long lines but moves very quickly. You have the option to purchase your pizza by the slice or the whole pie. Although the pizzas are not cooked in a traditional brick oven, each slice I've had was delicious. Call or place your order online ahead of time if you want your whole pie ready to go. If you order a whole pie in person, you'll be waiting for about 12 to 15 minutes. The person taking your order, the cashier, and the ones cooking the pizzas create a rushed but friendly ambiance. Space is limited so there's a good chance that you could be eating standing by a table or eating outside. Regardless, this is one of those NYC experiences you must fulfill.

Scott Currie

I still prefer the Carmine Street location, but this a great place to stop for excellent pizza when in Times Square.

Larry McCoy

Awesome NY pizza. Place was busy but not much of a wait. Pizza was reasonably priced also.

Lilia Garcia

Joe's Pizza really is the best pizza in New York. The line was long but moves fast. Employees are fast, efficient and very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who is visiting New York.

Shelley

My favorite NY-style pizzeria, and I'm so glad they have locations in LA, too. The White Pizza (with loads of ricotta and mozzarella) is craaaaazy good. The Pepperoni and Meat Lovers are great, too. Super simple menu, super no-frills, just the way I like it.

T.Draws

Pizza was great! Service was great! The line seems to always be out the door, but moved very quickly. We were all able to see the style pizza we wanted thru the glass before we ordered. There were tables with chairs on the street and we sat and enjoyed the pizza while people watching

K Mac

Good pizza. Not to die for though. If you want a slice, walk up. If you want a pie, order online. Special (pepp onion mushrooms...) was the best choice.

Eric Torres

Finally got to have authentic NY style pizza, and this place did not disappoint!!! I could have eaten a whole pie myself!! Joes is a must if your in NYC!

Joshua Bozman

The line was long so you know it's good. The pizza was delicious!!

Robert Hathaway

Long line but worth the wait. Pizza was tasty, pop was cold, and service was top notch. Lived up to its name. We will return!

Kristin Harwood

Pizza was great! Service was great! The line was out the door, but moved very quickly. We enjoyed chatting with the people in line. After, we got back to the hotel, I realized I didn't have my wallet. In a panic, I called and they had found it and kept it for me. So the pizza was delicious and the service was friendly, efficient and honest. Give it a try!!!!!!! Definitely worth the line.

Camorree Tinsley

Cheese pizza was hot, delicious, and only $1 a slice! And the slices were huge!

Felipe Gewehr

The perfect spot to eat while touring through New York, it's right next to Times Square. The pizza was freshly baked and delicious. It can get pretty crowded but the staff make the line goes very fast. Even if it seems that it will take I while it's totally worth it! You can eat in or take out, they don't have that much space inside though.

Bernard Martis

It was good. Perhaps not the best pizza in NY, but it beats every pizza chain in the Midwest, except UNOs. My primary grip is that the pizza was not hot, which is a side effect of the thin crust. For as thin as it was the crust was not very crispy. If you're going to go that thin, a bit more protein in the flour would have done wonders. The tomato and mozzarella pizza was very good. I mean worth the walk good. My only grip is that the tomato was a bit bland because it was missing a touch of salt. I understand why they did it. They did not want the tomatoes to weep juice and make the pizza soggy. The solution would be to use sun dried or sauteed tomato.

Destinations Untold

While I was in NYC I had to try the pizza. I was passing by and the line was out the door. There's a wall filled with famous people who've tried the pizza. One Bite everyone knows the rules - 8.4.

Waleed Qasem

Lucky me, I got to the table and a fresh pizza coming up .. nice margarita, a good try when you are at times square. But, only for a slice trial. On the go ..

Itay Madenfrost ADV

Compared to pizza in York, the pizza is excellent. Compared to the world's pizza it is very low level. The dough is hiqh quality and feels like it was baked on stone. The queue is always long and not worth the wait. Local people recommend. But the size of the expectation is the size of the disappointment. Do not waste your time. If you come to visit New York there is so much good food. Don't waste your money here. Pizza is very flavorless.

David

Really good experience. Line is out the door but goes down fast. Pizza is fresh and tastes good. Recommend if you want to grab a quick slice and go.

kyle moody

My first slice of new york pizza and i wasn't disappointed. Cool celebrity pics on the wall too. No one recognized me so i didn't get my picture on the wall yet.

Tara Kessel

Absolutely AMAZING Pizza!! I went to NYC for a few days just to eat and I ate at a lot of places and Joe’s pizza was my absolute favorite!!

Jennifer Huang

Best pizza ever! The place is very busy, we ordered ahead online, so waited for minimum time on pick up. If you plan to pick up a whole pie, recommend placing the order ahead to avoid long line and wait time.

Victor Tremblay

Full of people! Staff were having fun and we super busy! The pizza was delicious!! It feels like New York in there!! Thanks!!!

Jordan Solomon

Line moves fast but worth it. The only famous pizza in NYC don't believe the others.

Andru Edwards

Long line, fast-moving line at Joe's, but it's well deserved. I got a slice of plain cheese, as well as a grandma slice - both were delicious! Crust was cooked perfectly - crispy and chewy as you'd expect. Large portions and one slice is more than enough but it was so good I had a second one. Few tables to stand and eat but it was a warm night so we sat out and did some people watching.

JIHAN D

I wish I could give more stars to this place. I am Italian and I miss a good pizza all the time but thank God there is Joe’s pizza! Best pizza in NYC!!

hazim kudaih

Very tasty delicious pizza and so famous in broadway street ...worth to try

Vibhav Mehrotra

Good food. Pizza was thin crust which I like. Line for this place can be really long so plan accordingly, but it moves fast.

Sonia Vazquez

Best pizza!! Can't visit New York and not have Joe's Pizza. Line is always out the door but moves pretty fast, either way it's worth the wait! Supreme is defined my personal favorite!!

Alex Martinich

Fantastic pizza for a great price. Loved looking at all of the pictures and decor on the walls. If you’re looking for the best pizza by the slice in NYC go to Joe’s.

Madison Buchanan

Pizza was amazing! There was a 5-10 minute wait to get in but totally worth it. We had the pepperoni, fresh mozz and white pie. While all three were top notch the white pie was definitely our favorite. We will be going back.

Peter Tan

In my opinion an overrated pizza place. The sauce lack true flavor and is too sweet. There are definitely better pizzas out there.

Bayden Revell

We were watching BuzzFeed and Joe's Pizza came on their worth it series. Being in New York we decided to give it a try and it certainly was a worth it meal. Easily the best pizza I've had.

J J

Line way out the door.. It moves fast and well worth the wait. Highly recommend if you are in times square and want top quality pizza. Price is at par with what you get... Awesome Ny pizza!

Silvia Ingegno

Recommended by a local, this place has a really nice pizza! A bit small though and crowded, so get ready to eat standing. They have loads of varieties of new york style pizza plus the thick crust margherita too. We tried both and enjoyed them. Recommended!

Roma Zzz

5 stars. Pizza was amazing. It was quick and not as expansive as other famous New York style pizza. The only problem that you might run into is very limited sitting space. Highly recommend.

Michael McKeon

The line outside this place really says it all. I visited twice (tried three times) and each time the line was huge. If you've got the 15minutes to wait it's definitely worth it. Some of the best pizza I've ever had, even though the choice isn't huge. Also while you're queing you can take a look around the walls and see the various celebs that have visited which is pretty cool.

Arlande Julien

Fast-moving line at Joe's 11:55pm, Sunday evening. I got 3 slices of plain cheese, pepperoni and supreme. All were delicious! Crust was cooked perfectly - crispy and chewy as you'd expect. Large portions and they were so good while I watched the repeated episode of Game of thrones.

Jacob Pettingill

Great experience. No line on a Monday night. Got spinach and mozzarella.

Andreas Bognøy

5/7 perfect score on the food and service. Space inside can become slightly an issue when the line is way outside on the curb, but at least if it is warm it should be an option to eat outside, on the tables across the street. Definite must visit when in New York City.

jonathan todor

Pizza slices do not disappoint. There’s a reason they have so many great reviews. Thx!

A P

Pizza was just the way I like it. Lots of cheese, good sauce, prefect East Coast pizza. A lot of places in NYC charges $1 a slice, this place charges $3 a slice and always there are lines going out the door. That says something. They're so busy, that they are always making new pies. You'll always get a fresh hot slice or pie. You won't be disappointed with the taste.

J Snowbug

Great place for pizza after Broadway show!! Had to wait for 30 min in the hot summer evening after the show but it was well worth it. Super yummy. Had great interaction with guys working. Excellent place to get food fast

Sai P

This famous pizza place is a must visit if you are anywhere near time square. You might catch glimpse of a famous personality getting a slice from here. The lines are long but they serve very fast. The slices are big and not expensive.

Roe Seann Chong

There was a long queue when I came but moved relatively quick. Quite was worth it. Though on the salty side, pizza was flavourful and despite the size, somehow didn't have a soggy base. Reasonably priced too at c. $4-5 per slice

Christine Gagne

Great hot pizza, line went out the door, but moved fast! We got 2 pepperoni slices and bottled soda! Excellent price, a great deal. Definitely worth it. Walls are filled with photos of famous people who are there. Fun place. Yummy NYC pizza. Got to go. A must see, bucket list location to eat at and enjoy. One of the top 25 places to eat pizza!

Danielle Wilson

Of course I couldn't be in New York and not have at least one night of pizza for dinner. Staying in Midtown I had to Google the best pizza place around and Joe's Pizza was the top of the list Bar None. So I walked to the location which was very easy to find as it is right outside the Billboards of Time Square. I went inside where there was a line but it was moving very quickly. The men seemed to know exactly what to do to get everyone in and out and seemed like they have been doing this for a long time as they were getting pizza out to everybody super fast. I got a slice of pepperoni and my mom got a slice of cheese. By the time I got back to our room the food was warm but a little zip in the microwave and it was as fresh as you could get it out the oven. It was delicious! Not going to say it's the best pizza I ever had in my life... But it was definitely good! Not to mention there was a picture of Carrie Bradshaw on the wall and that immediately had me excited. I would recommend as the pizza was fresh.. yummy... And cheap!

Starsky Adames

What else can I say but I love you Joe’s Pizza! Always a hit never a miss. Absolutely love this place. Great NY pizza! A must if your in town, you won’t regret it!

Teeba Sadoun

Couldn’t come to New York and not try this place out! A definitely worth it spot to come to. The cheese pizza is the best!

Marissa Casey

Don't let the line deter you from grabbing a slice! The line goes by fast, but know what you want before you order. They move fast, kind of like the Soup Nazi, but that's because they are trying to get every one in and out with pizza. Anything you order will be great, but I prefer the white pizza and the Sicilian!

Edward Grant

Joe's is a very, very good New York City slice. It gets high marks for all components: crust, sauce, cheese, and price/size. The Broadway location is frequently overcrowded, but hey, it's almost in Times Square, what do you expect. It's not a boutique pie like John's of Bleeker Street or Patsy's of Spanish Harlem, but it's a consistent, quality slice. Recommend without hesitation, if you've got the time.

Silviu Mercan

The pizza is very good and the vibe is great as it makes you feel the American culture. It is very close to Times Square and the prices are low. A big slice of pizza is $5 max and are around 6 sortiments served.

Rachel G

The pizza was good. Not exactly The Beat in NYC, but they get props for being open late late. A little pricey but we expect it, since we had a large group. Overall good experience. Would recommend if at times square.

Karam Al Shelh

Amazing pizza ... Not bad of a wait. If you order a hole pizza, you do not have to wait in line. Eat when ready. Pizza is not as good when u wait for more that 20 min.

Ashley Cortes

4.00 for a soggy slice of cheese pizza on a plate that looked used. This midtown location is especially bad and overpriced.

Jorge Yau

Long wait overpriced tourist trap. I've been in New York for over 20 years and have had wayyyy better pizza than Joe's. Try Suprema's or Little Italy's pizza. They're both in midtown. It's $3 a slice and $4 for pepperoni at Joe's. You can find that pretty much anywhere and honestly their regular slices tastes like $1 slices anywhere else. Definitely not worth the extra 10 to15 minute wait.

Adrian Muntean

Been here twice, the pizza was awesome. Not the cheapest but very tasty, thin crust, it was a great place to eat and I'll be back next time I'm around. Recommending.

Hans Dasilva

Wow! Visited New York and on my 1st night went looking for some authentic New York pizza. And I found it at Joe's. Fast service and great pizza. The tomato & mozzarella was excellent. Wish I had a Joe's back in Jamaica

NRK LN

Excellent Pizza. No frills, just Pizza.People who work there are patient and courteous. Reasonably priced. Be prepared to wait in line during peak hours

Maksymilian Basta

One of the best pizza in NYC. Really short TUTORIAL to have good time. 1) take away pizza 2) sit on time square 3) enjoy your time guys

James Leichter

We tried two different cheese pizzas and one that was fairly loaded. The pizza was good. There was a fairly long line but it went fast. I can't say the pizza was awesome and I wouldn't be in any big rush to go back. I think it's definitely worth a try though. There isn't anything extremely unique about the place.

Michael Pay

Lines out the door all night long. If Jimmy Fallon approves, what more can I say? Eat or be eaten. Peace out.

robert buggy

Very good pizza. Prepare for a little queuing. limited choice. Super pizza though

Nway Nway

True iconic pizza. My personal favorite is pepperoni cheese and caparese. A bit expensive (4-5$ a slice) compared to neighborhood pizza around there (1$per slice) but still cheaper option than overpriced time square tourist trap restaurant

Melissa Price

There is a line out the door for a reason!!! Absolutely worth waiting in line, but the line moves quickly, pizzas are hot and ready once you get up to order, super fast and friendly service. The pizza is amazing, full of flavor, crispy thin crust, not greasy or overflowing with sauce, but it is super hot and will burn the roof of your mouth!!! The seating area is small and limited but we were able to snag two seats, pictures on the wall highlight the history and famous people that have eaten there, so it makes it a cool little stop, definitely worth stopping in, we were on vacation and I would definitely put this on the "must do" list for NYC for anyone planning a trip, will absolutely go back!!!! *We tried three different pieces and they were all amazing, you can't go wrong here!

Jonathan Davies

It was exactly what I needed at midnight after a sports bar and basketball game. There was a line to get in, there was a large variety of slices to choose from and it was served piping hot. There was also a lot of condiments to choose from to spice the slice as you like. This is the best rating I would give a rapid food establishment.

Zeinab Hassan

Always crowded, but I love the pizza chewy bread and great proportion sauce to cheese..

Darrison96

I knew about this place before I came to New York and had high expectations. It did not let me down... Pizza's were made fresh every 20 second's, you could see them making fresh dough at the back. Pizza slices are cheap but large. A lack of seats and tables but that is part of its character...

itsbettyann l

It really is the best slice of NY pizza I've ever had! Classic thin slice with a nice crust and you can never go wrong with pepperoni. Also got the mozzarella and ricotta cheese. Ended up getting a 3rd slice! Worth a visit!

tejaswini somasundaram

The pizza is good. But definitely not the best pizza I have had in NYC. Felt it’s over rated. The small is a bit small and crowded. The lines are long.

Oliver Kiderle

One of the best pizzas I had in my life. Lines are often long (i.e. 20-30 ppl in line outside), but they move quickly. Definitely worth a visit

Kevin Alexander

The pizza was equal to the customer service, fantastic!! I love New York style pizza and this place provided exactly what I wanted! Along with that the people working there seemed to really know what they were doing and enjoy it. Best of all, there are pictures of celebrities and actors along the walls that my family liked looking at and recognizing while eating.

himani wadhwa

This was a top recommendation from friends for trying NY pizza and I loved it! There is a line outside pretty much at any hour in the day! But it is so worth it!

James M

This place has ruined all other pizza for me - this is how it's done right! The base is perfect, the tomato sauce is spot on and just the right amount of cheese. We went 4 times in our 2 days in NYC. A must visit NYC institution and the real deal OG NY Slice!

Jeremy Carter

Simply put: this pizza is so good and they sell by the slice!

דני זקס

Great pizza didn't have room to sit . Full . So I went to Bryant park . Ate there. Much better

l long

Enjoyed late night pizza from Joe's after a full day in NYC! AMAZING! Crust was perfect, sauce was delicious and the fresh mozz....WAS SO GOOD! This will definitely be a go to when we are in the city.

Ami Patel

This is place is the symbolic of classic NY style Pizza. It’s my favorite in all of Manhattan! Don’t be scared of the longgg queue during evenings and weekends. The tomato sauce is out of the world! Their pizza are not greasy and feels extremely light and not to be guilty about! My favorites are - Classic Cheese, Sicilian and Caprese.

o0dong

A true classic. Heard a lot about Joe's Pizza but more than lived up to the hype. Ordered a New York slice and supreme and both were delicious. The base was crispy and thin and the toppings were light and flavorful. Service was quick and easy and we got our Pizza with little fuss. There was limited seating area inside so we stood outside and ate it on a bar outside which didn't take away from our meal.

MarieH P

The pizza is not bad but not great. I eat a lot of better pizza in my life. Don't waste your time going there. The wait lune is not worth it.

Emanuel Rosenzweig

It is an iconic institute, but the pizza is OK, not close to the superlatives you can read on the walls under the celebrities photos. There is always a wait in the line and almost no chance to find a chair or a table. BUT - since it is so crowded, the pizza is always fresh. The dough is thin (which I like) and the topping is always balanced, so it is tasty and fun to eat.

kevin Just

Decent NY pizza, very busy. Pretty much a tourist spot, Better spots around.

Mike Kaledas

New York pizza at its' finest. Not much in the way of seating, but some. It can get crowded and tough to walk around in. But the pizza is fantastic. My wife got a slice of white and I got a combo and a cheese slice. Thin, foldable, and full of flavor.

Mark Stevenson

The best pizza anywhere. Ever. Know what you want before you get to the front of the queue (which is often down the street) as the pace is quick. White pie is stunning.

Oscar Peterson

We got three slices--combo, fresh mozzarella, and pepperoni. THEY WERE DELICIOUS! The slices were quickly heated in s brick oven to be piping hot. The pizza slices and a bottle of water cost $17. Not bad. Next time I want to try their white cheese, regular cheese, and caprese pizza. There are several high tables and bars to eat in the restaurant. Or it's close enough to Times Square to eat while people watching. Many people said they were getting pizza to take back to their hotel. Great new favorite in NYC!

Eric Sobel

I haven’t found a better more delicious pizza! It’s the best!!

Anthony Arjona

Im super particular about my pizza. This was a pefrectly balanced pie, incredibly simple and yet very well executed. Also the staff was infectiously happy. All the memorabilia on the walls was great to look at while we wait for our pizza.

Josiv Krstinovski

Great pizza! Def one of my favorites and solid pizza in NYC

Ahmad Nashif

This may be more of a nuanced or critical review simply due to the fact that expectations run high for New York pizza in New York. The pizza isn't bad, don't get me wrong, it's just not great. I ordered delivery via Yelp and though estimated delivery was nearly 90 minutes, the food arrived quickly and fresh. Fair warning when ordering delivery, Joe's does not provide the option to order single slices. I understand the need to accommodate owner cost, but placing a minimum delivery order should suffice. Forcing patrons to order a full pie is honestly unfair and not a good business practice. Once the food did arrive, the food was warm and seemed that delivery was very quick. But the bites into the pizza just didn't have that New York pizza kick. I don't know how to explain it, it wasn't bad, it was good pizza, but something seemed to be missing. I wouldn't not go to this restaurant, but it wouldn't be my first choice when in New York.

Hasnain Ali

It's a bit pricy. For three dollars, you get once slice of pizza that isn't even that great. The sauce was sweet and they didn't even accept a Fidelity credit card. It's quite crowded, so I'm sure many other people like it and it's worth going to, but I didn't like it. Quite disappointing... Also, since it's so crowded, it's quite disorganized to put in your order and get your food.

veteran011

Great pizza, fast service, small location. Line is out the door but moves quick. You're unlikely to find a place to sit (or lean) and eat during peak times. Prices are a bit high but it's clear the money's going into the quality of the ingredients.

Mark Sirof

Excellent classic NY pizza. Really nice employees. No creature comforts. You get a little ledge to eat on if you are lucky, a small table if super lucky, otherwise you stand. I got the ledge and enjoyed it.

Joe Mann

If you are in Times Square you have to try this place! It is the best by the slice pizza shop I've ever been to which is insane considering the volume of pizza they are moving. The dough is crispy yet soft with the perfect chewiness.

M Djsjyp

I don't know if it's a tourist trap or we visited on a bad night but the pizza here is just average. We tried 3 slices but non impressed. I've removed an extra star for the price and wait times. The only great thing about this place is that they burn/char the crust giving it a nice flavor. But the sauce, cheese, toppings, texture and combination of all is just meh. There are much better slices in NYC.

Frank Hyun

For me, I’d say the pizza is fine. The staff are okay, as you don’t really spend much time interacting with them. The line here usually makes you wait around 10 minutes. I’d recommend you get one or two slices if you go into the restaurant, and delivery for a whole pizza. The price for a single slice is around $4, and a whole pizza is around $22. Not bad!

John Barnes

The pizza is very good, there is usually a long line but they are pretty good about keeping it moving quickly.

Judy Scott

Small place but magnificent pizza. I'm not a pizza fan, but this is extraordinary! No thick red sauce, just crispy thin crust and wonderful topping choices.

JD Macaroni

This one's really touristy. Pizza is just OK: not bad, but not worth falling in line for (unless you're spidey fan). You can always find other pizza places within the NYC area at a cheaper price, or a slice with the same value but with tastier toppings and chewy crust.

Ryan Obando

Great pizza, long line but didnt wait as long as I thought it would take.

Vinod Asokan

Unknowingly We entered this place, But fortunately, it turned out to be one of the best pizzas we had for a while! Awesome! Quick and was just next to Times Square!

R. Joshua Angell

A timeless staple. Gotta go every time I'm in the city for my pepperoni slice & fresh mozzarella slice. We went around midnight on a Sunday this time, and there was a 20-person line out the door, which persisted when we came back around an hour later. 100% worth the wait, but if you've never been here try to grab a seat inside, and check out the walls plastered in photos of famous people who've eaten there. Touristy, yes, but everyone has the right to be touristy sometimes :)

Marc Dilinila

Service here was quick, was able to get a slice of pizza for myself and some friends within minutes of entering the shop. However while the pizza was extremely delicious, I wouldn't find myself spending 3 dollars for a slice of pepperoni. I find spending 12 dollars for three slices rather unnecessary

Nicole W

OMG! Best pizza I’ve ever had. Been twice in 4 hours . Try the broccoli rabe and ricotta pizza, nice and garlicky and absolutely delicious! Also had the traditional cheese (sauce is just amazing) and the fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce pizza. Very light and crispy crust. I think we will be back again tomorrow.

PsychowardOutpatient

Fast, efficient, cheap and very good pizza. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a quick meal.

Khaled Mostafa

The famous pizza place in times square. The pizzas are good freshly baked. I liked the white over the margarita. You will find long queue line outside the restaurant but it moves very fast. It is hard to find seat inside. There is a standing shelf outside where you can use it. Worth trying and to the NYC experience but for sure not a unique pizza or unique taste.

Uros141

Definitely need to get a pizza here if you are visiting NYC! Definitely!!!! You would need to wait a little bit because it’s busy but it’s worth it!!

Tom Wright

Tried a few if the famous pizza slice places in NYC and honestly want impressed by Joe's. Very average and popular with tourists but not locals for the most part. It's surprisingly famous for what it is which I really don't understand. This isn't bad pizza by any means, just very average.

Simon Landman

I love pizza and have had many different types in several counties. Joes‘s pizza is pretty good. This hole in the wall shop is bursting with customers, but the line moves really fast and they were really efficient. I had a slice of supreme, pepperoni, and “white” pizza. Ingredients were fresh and the pizza was pretty good. It’s thin crust, super fresh, and served at perfect hot temperature. Price was reasonable for being in Times Square, and serving size is great. It’s more of a back to basics pizza place, and great for a quick slice. Will definitely return.

Erika J.

Good coal fired pizza, low prices. The line was out the door and down the street but it moved pretty quickly. Very little indoor seating but I took mines to go.

לטייל IL

Very good pizza with good muzzarela cheese. I like my pizza more crasty .. but I was satisfied.

Johan Paul

Joe's Pizza is a true classic. One could think it's a tourist trap thanks to its name, but in that case one would be wrong. There are lines going out the store, the pizza is just that good. So do yourself a favour and wait in that line for the perfect New York slice.

Eben Allen

Great pizza with the best tasting pizza I've eaten, Italy aside. Price was good too. Ensure you don't try and go during peak times as the queues can be out the door heading away from Times Square

Deandra Green

These are tasty pizza slices. The line tends to be long but moves really fast! Not $1 per slice but still pretty inexpensive.

Nathan Carroll

Love their pizza. Perfect crust, sauce, and variety of flavors. Ideal way to finish off a day in NYC!

Andy Richardson

Excellent pizza. These guys get the crust right. Crunchy and crispy without being charred. Really great pizza. Toppings are good with a lot of variety. There can be long lines but it moves quickly.

randall norcross

The best NYC pizza! Place is packed but the workers keep up with orders and keeps slices flying out the door. Kids loved it so I guess it's that good.

alex beaton

Mad good! Best slice place in the city and at only 3 dollars. Cant go wrong!

Amber R

Pizza was good! Definitely a wait but once you're in line it moves pretty fast! Just don't expect indoor seating but plenty of space outside with a view!

Joshua South

This was the first pizza place I ever went to as a child, when Joe's and King's were operated by two brothers (sharing a parking lot) who had a falling out..... King's is long gone, and we had moved on to other pizza places in the area. I rediscovered Joe's earlier this year when many of my former classmates were here for a reunion and wanted to visit the nostalgic haunts. We all ordered pizza and Joe's famous Italian hot dogs (the bread....OMG, and filled with potatoes, onions & peppers!!). It wasn't exactly how I remembered it years ago, but close! And the pizza is yummy.

Jesus Palalia

Joe's is the best pizza in NYC in my opinion. Pizza should taste the way Joe makes it. No wonder so many ppl come here including tourists.

Dustin U

For my first slice of NYC

Angela Yang

Pizza was PERFECT, the perfect thinness, the perfect amount of toppings, the perfect touch of crunchy smokiness. The drawback is that there was a long line, and there so many people that the place was crowded with no hope of finding a seat. We went at nighttime, somewhere around 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM on a Saturday, and we had to take our food and stand outside (keep in mind this is close to the center of Times Square, so outside was dirty, crowded, and smelled like garbage whenever the wind blew your way) to eat. Other than a problem with the lack of space and seating, the line went by pretty fast for how long it was, and you can see the employees working quickly and efficiently.

One of the best pizza places in Times Square. Quick tip, visit before 7 pm to avoid standing in lines going all the way outside the restaurant.

Love the pepperoni pizzas. Great late night pizza. Gets really busy at night

Very good pizza! The best? No. Worth The wait? Yes. Fun to see all the celebrity photos. Service is also great and love that the serve Coke products.

In town for 6 days. Been to this place 3 times in less than 24 hours. It is really good. I went to 2 other good pizza joints. I cannot think of any other pizza I like better than Joe's Pizza in Times Square.

Mark Walsh

Fast service of tasty pizza! Limited seating with space usually available outside. Good for people watching.

Highly recommend visiting Joe’s if you’re in Midtown. The atmosphere is busy, but lines move quickly. There isn’t much sitting space, but the layout provided standing with bars style ledges. You can’t beat the prices either. You can easily pay for 2 people for roughly $24, and that including two slices per person with a drink. Quality ingredients! Inside includes picture of celebrities who have visited the restaurant framed along the wall.

F-ing great pizza. I purposely walked through the sea of humanity known as Times Square to get this pizza. I was on a vision quest to enjoy NY's finest pizza.

This place is really good

Really nice. The base wasn't soggy. The sauce was a bit sweeter then what we expect in the UK, but definitely worth a try.

Elena Soroka

All the reviews are correct! Great pizza-slice place. Truly recommended. Fast, easy, nice and patient staff. The line is worth the wait.

Best pizza in New York! I went around lunch time with my dad and the line was out the door but it was quick. Soon we were at the front and ready to order. The pizza was good, the best I ever had. Perfectly cooked with crispy crusts. It was $4 dollars a slice but the slices were 2x as big as your regular slices. Pair with coke or any other refreshing drink and enjoy!

Pizza was awesome! I wanted some authentic and delicious New York style pizza while I was in town and I went here and Ray's and this is definitely a lot better than Ray's Pizza! I really enjoyed the crust.

Good, not life changing. Around six varieties. Line goes fast. Seating - people are respectful and leave as soon as they are finished so others can eat.

Waiters singing old songs, with a smile. Good pepperoni pizza. For me it is

Dan Gunko

Very consistant. Had a great time munching on a Pepperoni pie. It's not designed to be the most gourmet pizza, but it was a yummy slice and spending 25 bucks to get a whole pizza filling up 3 men is well worth it. Plus, having a wall filled with pictures of famous celebrities eating out there was a nice way to have conversation. One thing though, it definitely gets packed. Especially on weekends. Expect a delay if ordering a whole pizza, a slice comes out right away.

I love pizza and have had many different types in several counties. Joes‘s pizza is pretty good as quick slices go. Don’t expect to sit, as seating is limited. But hey, you’re in Times Square - what are you sitting for? Will definitely return.

Such good pizza! Seating inside is limited but you can totally take the pizza to go. If there’s a large group I recommend ordering online so it’s ready for pick up when you get there. We had supreme, white and cheese and loved them all!

Came from Canada to visit Newyork and had to try this pizza out. Was happy with the pizza

Worth the wait in line. Our party had the pepperoni, the white and the works with onions, mushrooms, pepperoni & sausage which was my favorite one. Go to Joe's and you will be so satisfied. Thanks Joe's

Loved the cheese pizza. Busy place normally there will be a queue but it moves quickly. I could not see or access any sauces though but the pizza is still great without ketch up. Prices are reasonable.

Maria Huizi-Villaizar

It was delicious. Don’t worry if you see a line outside, it goes by really fast and the pizza is so worth it. Delicious, there are a few tall tables inside and a bar all around the place. It was great, definitely recommend.

Francis Thomson

Best pizza place in New York, we came here 2 or 3 times during our stay and can definitely vouch for the quality. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Best to get there away from usual eating times as the queues can be long enough to wait for a good 20 minutes or more.

Russ Wise

Good pizza. We were near Times Square so it was our fault the line was so long. Even with a long line it went quick.
