Great food and incredibly friendly service

Sharon Harris

Came here on a whim because the tube had stopped working and we wanted some breakfast while we waited for it to start up again. Wasn't expecting much, but upon coming here I was very pleasantly surprised. We were immediately greeted with a breeze of cold air (which was a nice contrast against the humid New York heat) and an extremely friendly greeting from the staff. We were seated quickly in very cute chairs at a cozy table in the corner, and wonderful service was given in great time. The food was absolutely fantastic, and overall this was just a great experience. One of my favorite places that I ate at in New York City.

Visited Jack’s Wife Freda with a large group this morning for brunch—all the staff members were super accommodating & very quick to serve us! I had the Mediterranean breakfast and mint lemonade; both were delicious, as well as the desserts I tasted. Definitely an Instagram-worthy brunch spot with great service. I’ll for sure be returning!

Gina

DELICIOUS brunch in NYC! The hype is real. Don’t let the crowds outside discourage you, it moves fast. We came during the peak hours of brunch on Sat and were seated within 5 minutes. Service is polite and quick. Everything on the menu looks delicious so it’ll be hard to decide. We settled for Madame Freda and Jack’s Breakfast and was not disappointed! Come here if you haven’t done so already!

Linda Y

Chill atmosphere and good food. Wait staff are also super nice.

George Sdonas

Good Food, Well priced. The bartender was very good.

David Reitter

Had a really nice meal here. The Peri Peri Chicken was excellent. Succulent, with a nice rub and crust, and green sauce that isn't cilantro-infested (yay!). The desserts were nice, soo. Friendly, attentive service in great atmosphere. Will come again.

David Hunt

The burger is excellent but they have lots of healthy options as well. Pimm's cup is perfect for the summer.

Emma Quinn

We were excited to try this place. But the server had such an attitude problem while trying to order drinks we decided to leave. Maybe the food is great?? We won’t find out. Extremely disappointing.

Ruchie Shrivastava

Great place and nice staff

Nelly Grivko

Love this place. Fast and tasty

Came here on a Friday at 10:30am for breakfast with a friend. There was no wait and the place was semi-empty! The interior of Jack's has a clean diner aesthetic. This place is very cute and definitely instagrammable if thats what you're into! (Like their menus have cute little doodles on them) I ordered the Green Shakshuka - theres 2 eggs baked in green tomatillo and served with two slices of toasted brioche. I ordered this because it was unique! When it came, the bright green shakshuka really caught my eye. Flavor was good and I especially loved how soft the bioche was. However, because the brioche was so soft, I had a hard time eating it with the shakshuka as it couldn't really hold much of the sauce/egg on it without falling. Service was great and food came in a good time - my water cup was always filled and waiters checked in periodically to make sure everything was going good. I would recommend if you wanted to try something unique such as a green shakshuka!

Charmaine Tabilas

Everything was amazing. The drinks, appetizers and entrees. The flourless chocolate cake is perhaps the most delicious dessert that I have had in the city.

Amber Mace

I’ve eaten here for all meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and I’ve never had a bad meal. My favorite is their amazing burger. 10/10 ordering the burger won’t disappoint you plus they pile on the fries. Love bringing out-of-towners here for a quality meal.

alexis hill

Great place and amazing food

Faiqa Amreen

I think the portions are fair but compared to other places, can see why it's considered "expensive". But the quality of food and the wait staff is pretty great - my water and coffee cups were rarely left empty and the food was good!

Jonathan Frink

Wonderfully surprising flavor combinations (e.g. slightly savory yogurt + rose + waffles). Looks small, but well portioned.

Sara Pisheh Design

Extremely rude. I was so disappointed!

Mary Dailey

Cool atmosphere - food good not great

Corduroy PJ

Halloumi cheese eggs were great

Eliza Greenawalt

I have to stop at Jack’s Wife Freda every time I visit NYC. From the food to the drinks to the personable employees, you will never be disappointed!

Matt Paulsen

Love this place for Breaky. I have to note I have never been here for any meal other then Breakfast. The food is great and the location is convenient too. Not too busy during the week, but the weekend can get crazy (no surprise). Also happy with the price of food, great value and I really do love the breakfast. Staff are super nice and helpful.

TJ Dietderich

Good breakfast menu served all day. A lovely bar where you can drink unlimited drip coffee and enjoy.

Lincoln Wettenhall

Nice Mediterranean option with plenty of bar staples like burgers as well. Good cocktail menu and attentive bar staff

Stefanie

Came through last night at 9 PM with a party of 6, knew it was a long shot but asked for a table anyways. They were totally accommodating, ended up with two more people joining us later and the staff didn't even flinch. Cozy, tight space, pretty loud atmosphere, A+++ cocktails and portions to match the prices. A million thanks for turning a last ditch effort to feed my parents and my in-laws into a really memorable evening! ♡♡♡♡

Singa bless

Great food, amazing staff, great atmosphere, managed well!

Raymond Woods

Great name, wonderful server/bartender and beautiful restaurant decor wise, but a very disappointing burger - dry, hard, tasteless piece of ground beef that I had to slather in mustard in order to eat it. I was starving and was being treated to dinner so I did not say anything and ate it.

Madely Martínez Holguín

Great food, great service, cute place!

lulwah albuaijan

Great food and great service

Noora Shehab

Excellent food and cute cozy interior

William Williams

Would be nice if they could serve you cold water too cheap for ice cubes I guess

Sohaib khan

The food is good. But the staff and waiters are rude and racist. Even the manager is very rude over here. Food was very late the staff members look lost.

Erin Slonaker

I could not believe how loud it got in here when still only about 3/4 full. Like, reverberating off the walls and into your whole head--my companion and I had to scream at each other to be heard, and we were actually next to each other (at a corner table). The steak was not well crisped--no good crispy bits, though it was cooked to the right temp. Overall unimpressed.

J. Marc Simpson

Fantastic breakfast. Unique and delicious. One of the best meals we had in New York. Definitely worth a visit.

Sharon Ganot

Great food , great service , beautiful design !

Nicky ann

Its really hard yo make a simple egg exciting but this place is incredible. Coffee is good but the open sandwich was amazing. I don't even know what is in the green sauce but I wanted to lick the plate.

Karan Soekhoe

Lovely place for a bit to eat

Alyson Marie

Came here for brunch. The food is not exciting. It felt like your typical NYC brunch meal. The tables are really on top of each other. Bottomless coffee was a good deal but it didn’t taste great. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive.

Kyuwon Lee

What can I say about this amazing restaurant? Delicious foods, gorgeous ambience, fantastic service.

Siddharth srivatsa

Did not live up to the hype. The food was average and portions weren’t great. Expected much better for the price. Maybe we went on an off day. Also be prepared for a long wait, outside on the sidewalk since there’s no room to wait inside. The place itself is also super cramped and feels stuffy.

Tomasz Orzechowski

Amazing breakfast place. Great food and drinks, great service and a perfect vibe. Busy and noisy..

Emma Hopkinson

Loved this place. The wings were some of the best I've ever had, I would return just for them. Prices reasonable - $80 for 2 people including tip.

Marco B.

Food is nothing special. Get 1 star because Manager was rude: They wanted to accommodate our group of 6 in a table for 4!!! When we asked to add the next table, that was empty, the manager said: No!!! They ended up seating in those 2 tables only 5 people (2 at 1 table and 3 at the other)!!! :( While we waited for space at the communal table Such a poor customer service and bad managerial decision!!!

Diane Chieng

I literally went straight to this place from JFK. It’s quite a busy place, expect a long line up. We waited about 25 minutes? The eggs Benedict with the beets hollandaise was something so different... worth trying

Christie Ray Harrison

The vegetable curry bowl is one of my new favorite winter dishes in the village! Warm, hearty, filling but still healthy, with an amazing selection of fresh vegetables and delicious curry sauce, at an affordable $15ish. Great cocktails too, and good spot for breakfast on weekday mornings when you need a pre-work meeting spot.

Neta Halevi

Loved it! Good and fresh food, feels healthy without having to give up on the taste. Only took pictures of the deserts :) but we also had first and main course

Martijn Graat

Super friendly staff and excellent breakfast

Vaibhav Goswami

One of the most memorable brunches in NYC. Make sure to try the rosewater pancakes!

Nick Pizza

It was delicious. We had a large group and the service was exceptional. Even with a stroller and baby they were very accommodating. Will for sure be back. Food is outstanding as well. Highly recommended

Mercedes Cavanagh

Great food, good portions and great service. Try the duck bacon.

Dan Golick

Great brunch. Duck bacon is amazing

Sikun LIN

Not quite worth the hype... Shakshuka is mild and Feta is way too salty.

Greg Myer

Great meal here with a good friend. Would definitely come back.

francisco prieto

Good, albeit a bit pricey. Nice location. Good attentive staff.

Katie Levitt

The most consistent brunch place. Always good, always a wait (but worth it), and great service. My go to place

Marcus Issadora

Very nice Brunch place! We had Poached Eggs with Grilled tomate and Haloumi! It was so healthy and delicious and also House salad with salmon, the salomn was cooked perfectly! The service is excellenet and overall expiernece in this place is top notch! I would definetly recommend to try this place if you want to have some nice food!

Aymun Salman

I was there last night for my birthday, Twyla was an amazing server, and Mark, the manager, made sure we got a good table, and even made sure that it was steady (one of the legs was short so he put something under it to stop the table from rocking!!) without even being asked. Lovely place, with excellent food.

Sudeep Rajpoot

Wow! So good! I had brunch here on Saturday afternoon. The rose water waffles are to die for! I cannot verbalize how delicious the addition of rose water was to the waffle is. It's subtle and not overpowering at all. The savory items are just as fantastic. I've never had duck bacon until this restaurant and I was very pleased and would eat it again.

dino capriano

Great brunch and the most perfect eggs benedicts

Eric Mundt

Good and attentive staff. Food is quality but average for the price. My primary issue with the restaurant is actually just the noise level. The absence of any soft /sound absorbing surfaces leads to a super loud echo ridden environment. This probably doesn't bother a lot of people but if you are sound sensitive it may detract from your experience.

Peter Kohler

I went to the original one years ago and thought the food was really good but the place was tiny. Their new location is bigger but we went there with 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids) and they sat us 2 small round tables. It was cramped to say the least. There service however was very good and they we're very attentive and accommodating to the 2 little ones.

D C

very cute place, every single dish was exquisite! And super tasty cocktails! And the stuff wer really nice!

Pilar Batista

Not only the tasiest brunch EVER! But the BEST service. Server deserved that tip! We left extremely satisfied. Can't wait to return!

Henry Drobbin

Great food at a great price. This place is awesome so try something new!

Ashtyn Davis

I went for lunch and it was delicious. Service was quick, the drinks were great and our server was awesome.

tulio prieto

Had a juicy burger with salad. The salad dressing was light and flavorful.

Gal Somekh

The food was good, service was great, but the portions were tiny compared to other places like this. We payed 19$ for the smallest croque madame I ever ate with barley any duck prosciutto at all. The quality and taste of the food were good. I don't recommend coming here, there's an endless amount of better places in the city.

Poison Heart

Just had breakfast, and it was wonderful. Great food, very kind staff. Absolutely awesome!

ShpaK MoTorS

Good place, too tasty dessert

Yu Matsuzaki

Cozy bistro, great food, friendly staff reasonable drinks. I like it there as I feel the time pass slowly and also the food as not only they are delicious but not so fatty or oily even if it's quite big portion.

Juan Figueroa

Wow this place gets crazy packed! It’s a great brunch/breakfast spot, but I’d say it’s a tad bit to overhyped. For one the dishes are quite small, which one can debate as a healthier option but others might not appreciate. Second, there is no genuine desire to please the client rather more of a eat and get out attitude. Lastly, everyone who knows this area has visited this spot at least once. I think it’s worth considering other options because although the food is good, it almost seems like a highly marketed portrayal of just a decent food scene.

Roshan Vyas

The food is ok but it is way too loud.

Joseph Saitta

Delicious and unique food options.

David Kolonay

Really tasty mix of Lebanese Jewish food

MaryEllen Lyons

Tiny tucked away. Brimming with friendliness great staff all the way around. We did apples at the bar and drank signature cocktails great Friday night

Huang bigneko

Nice place to have brunch! Food come out very fast with high quality service.

martina t

Such a cozy place, great choice for both breakfast and brunch! Had a granola w grapefruit and greek yoghurt and it was delicious! Great coffee as well! Went there early in the morning so it wasn’t packed w people.

Panda Teo

Love the choice of food I've chosen here. Wild definitely come back just for Maya's breakfast bowl. (Poached eggs, kale, quinoa, radish, squash, tomato & avocado, all well seasoned)

Mark Johnson

Oh wow, what a staple in The Soho area for food, especially brunch. The service and volume that this restaurant puts out is incredible. The wine list is simple and straight to the point, while still maintaining the basics. Great for brunch or a lighter meal. The cocktails are quite good and some are very elaborate. The menu has all the staples to I’ve you the feel of a home cooked breakfast while also having some great Mediterranean influenced options. It’s all very nutritious and on the lighter side, while still maintaining large portions. Also a great spot to people watch as tables turn very quickly here, and if you’re lucky you can snag a spot at the bar without a reservation during the busy hours.

Sam Erenberger

The shared plates were all great. The pasta was forgettable - literally the most boring pasta dish ever, just pasta, shredded cheese and sliced jalapenos. Highly recommend getting ANYTHING ELSE. Overall, it was ok but not worth the wait and hassle honestly, forgettable food and meh experience in total.

June Yoo

Liked all we ordered! Very simple but tasty!!

Jeremy Allen

One of the most enjoyable bar dinner hangout spots. Have the Molten Chocolate Cake and a Double Espresso. #TreatYoSelf

Barry Jones

Great food and atmosphere. Head here if you are in Greenwich

Mackenzie Brisben

Possibly my favorite breakfast I ever had in New York. Delicious food and gorgeous environment.

Elisabeth Hediger

Really enjoyed the chicken kebab with couscous! Definitely a great place for dinner and the brunch menu looks amazing - need to go back!

missus doe

Food was mediocre. Shakshuka was two fried eggs with sauce on top with mushy bread instead of toast. My companions ‘ food was just as underwhelming.

Bec VG

Amazing service, great food, great atmosphere, I loved the playlist

Aaron Blackwell

When my friend suggested we should go to a place called "Jack's Wife Freda" I made the mistake of judging a book by it's cover. I mean, I was it had a cute backstory but I was a little worried it was going to be strange. BOY WAS I WRONG! First off, it's adorable. The aesthetic is modern but fun. White walls, gold framed paintings, whimsical art and the perfect mood lighting. It's everything you could possibly want. It's perfect for dining out with friends or a date night. But let's get to the good stuff...the food! The menu is perfect. It has a range of cheap options in the $15-$20 range and variety of entrees $20-$40. I was tempted by the rack of lambs but the heart wants what the heart wants...I went with the Prego Roll. It's a skirt steak sandwich smothered in garlic butter. The waiter recommended it and it I do too! It was everything I hoped for and more. I plan on coming back and would recommend this place to pretty much anyone. So glad I was brought here!

Katie Macdonald

Honestly, my favorite out of the Jack’s Wife Freda locations. It’s super bright, not as crowded, the service is quick, and the staff is WONDERFUL. I’m partial to the brunch, which is filling without being too heavy. Also they have nonstop drip coffee. Definitely make someone at your table order the green shakshuka, and the Mediterranean sampler is great for sharing, too.

Amnon Gavish

Very friendly staff and delicious food for a breakfast/ brunch. The only minus is the bad acoustic and loud music, making a conversation almost impossible.

Michael Cooper

Great place for brunch

Jon Turi

Food came out really quickly. It was spicy, bright and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot and definitely worth a try!

Asesha Dayal

The food here was amazing. The portion sizes were just right and the atmosphere was lively. The staff was polite and friendly. Definitely a great brunch spot!

Reem Badarni

I love this place so much, I even came to eat in it when I was back in the city. It's cozy, the staff are super friendly and nice. The food was really good, I had the eggplant sandwich, eggs breakfast and the House salad, they were all good, except the House salad was intense of tastes, overall I highly recommend checking out this branch and the one on Lafayette st.

Natalie Stone

Lively and light. The food was great and service was quick and friendly. I came expecting a 30-minute wait, and it was only 15. Our party each ordered different items, and we all liked what we got. It is noisy so don't come to have quiet conversations.

Dhawal Sehgal

One of the best brunch places in the city!

Elise Pfeiffer

Everything was delicious and great vibes. Order the salt and pepper eggplant.

Julian Ramirez

Great food. A bit too noisee.

Daniel de Deugd

Really fresh ingredients put together perfectly. The service was even better. Variety of options on the menu for all types of hunger levels and diets. Pricing is fair, even on the cheaper side to comparable restaurants. The restaurant itself is a little smallish and can get on the louder side, but it actually adds to the charm in this instance.

Steven Dakh

Delicious food. Too small portion sizes.

Tiffany Cheng

Food is as good as it can get and service is always A+. The food, which has some wonderful vegetarian options, comes out quickly, and wait staff always come by to refill water glasses or ask if everything is okay, and if the meal is good. This place is popular and can get quite packed, so if you really want to enjoy the food without the wait, come early or on off hours. Although, it always seems packed because the food is both simple and delicious.

Larry K

Went Saturday June 30 for breakfast. So So. The Madame Freda was good except the bottom of the toast was blackened. Did not realize it until half way through. Should be brown. The green shakshuka was average. Coffee is bottomless and the cantaloupe juice is good. Waiter tipped over the coffee twice. They did provide a corner seating which I do prefer. But the place fell below expectations.

Hana Frluckaj

Loveeeee coming here. Definitely try the chicken wings appetizer if you're a wing nut like me. All of the entrees are incredibly fresh and piping hot when served. The food is healthy and tasty with lots of different influences. Staff are always friendly here. It's a great place to come with a group but might be hard to hear your dinner date.

Steve Tanes

Excellent neighborhood brasserie. Wonderful service and fresh selections. Little pricey.

Fátima Alonso

Way too loud, price is high for what they offer

Emily Sollars

My go to spot in the village for delicious food at great prices. I highly recommend the Madame Freda!

Amber Chen

I ordered Tuna sala and Pimm’s cup No. 1; both are very decent. The tuna’s dressing go very well with the veggies as well as the sourdough. And the drink is mixed with cucumber ginger lemonade and mint. I think I will give ten out of ten for both item. If I have to pick something, I would like a more piece of bread for the tuna. And I would recommend these two thing together since they are both sweet, unless you are big on that.

Evgeniia Guliaeva

Two words: simple and delicious. We ordered zucchini fries, roasted cauliflower with white sauce, and matzo ball soup for appetizers. For the main dish, my sister went for their signature dish - Peri Peri Chicken, which reminded me of a Peruvian dish (especially with their green spicy sauce). I ordered Fish a la Plancha (Salmon), and I loved it. It’s sesame coated skin gave it a nice flavor twist. We finished with the homemade cheesecake. Wanted to thank the manager and waiters for keeping up a great job keeping everyone in the room feeling happy and satisfied!

chavez bolivar

The best Jack's wife.... location

Avi Norman

Young atmosphere, energetic, very loud. Food is ok. Nothing to write home about. Small portions. Not the best value.

Carolina Ponce

The menu is very limited to Jewish cuisine but it’s good. I was kind of expecting some more brunchy items.

Oliver Pedersen

Keith McNally protégé Dean Jankelowitz (Schiller's, Pastis, Balthazar) is behind this morning-to-evening café. The 40-seat restaurant—sporting dark-green leather banquettes, brass railings and marble counters—serves homey fare. In the morning, find Stumptown coffee, homemade croissants and full breakfast plates.

Leah Hall

I love this place! They're appetizers are incredible and they have a great drink menu. Also, for a small place, they do a great job accommodating large groups.

fppedreira

Went for breakfast, the food was good and the service friendly. Good location.

Mari L S

Very lovely place for a nice breakfast! You'll see how this place and the waiters and the food will make you feel positive! Great place to start the day!

carter kingsley

i love this place and come here often but the staff could be a bit kinder

Sergio Rodríguez Reyes

Good food, but too noisy.

Steven Larky

Decent Mediterranean, but very loud

michael rock

It’s really good if you go at an off-time. They pack the small tables close together and I think if you go during a busy time it will not be a pleasant experience (unless you have a very small personal space). We went at 5pm and it was very nice, but by 6:30 when we left it was getting loud and crowded. I had a good piece of salmon over sautéed kale and my wife had a tasty chicken kabob w couscous and a chopped salad. All good. It’s not a bargain but certainly similar to other places in the neighborhood. Service was friendly, casual and fine.

Cecilie Lopez-Jensen

Food was good, only thing is it was very loud and noisy

JackMeat

My name is Jackie, I love you too. Haha

Mark Peterson

Great food and excellent service!

Danny Sarmiento

Good food, nice bartender, and food came out quickly. Busy brunch atmosphere

Kristy Bora

Ah! What’s not to like about this place. We got lucky that we didn’t have to wait for long. In fact it was 1:30 pm and we got seated in like 5 min of our wait time. The hostess is super friendly. The vibe of this place is lively with lots of sunshine coming in and a nice bubbly decor... the atmosphere and people make you feel so positive overall. Now the food and their coffee, so happy that we ordered shakshouka- a beautiful looking dish and it tastes delicious. A MuST MUST try!!! We also got the Mediterranean breakfast. The platter has eggs, pita, veggies- all yummy and fresh. Their coffee is great- had latte. Surprisingly reasonable prices. Not too expensive a place. Perfect just perfect for Brunch! Don’t miss out on their picturesque sugar sachets- their captioned sugar sachets are so fun to read and click them.( refer to my pictures)

Natalie Benda

Great food, lovely service. Did not disappoint.

Elizabeth Cottle

The cozy, friendly atmosphere created the feeling of being a life-long neighbor, despite it being my first visit. I stopped in for a coffee and to satisfy a sweet-tooth craving and had the most amazing chocolate dessert since my move to NY. I can't wait to go back and try the entree portion of their menu!

Nadiya A

Food was great! Server was nervous but very nice.

Kelly Machado

Amazing food, great service! Too loud with all customers inside but great place for brunch.

Rivka Genis

Great mediterranean food, fresh vegetables and an amazing service!

Peter Deleon

Place is good. Food is great. A little loud and tight w seating but overall great. Def eat here again. And the spicey jalepeno sauce is delish!

Ina's World

Nice place for breakfast, really cute place.

Anastos Koloniaris

The place to be for a good breakfast with a modern touch! Great service and coffee, interesting menu for breakfast/brunch lovers and great service! Highly recommend for your mornings at West village!

E Littman

Casual, bright, attentive wait staff, tasty, noisy, nice menu, bloody marys and mimosas. Definitely check it out...

Chanyaporn Khaoroptham

Good service & delicious food.

Elaine Durbach

Good food, impossibly noisy

Siavash Golkar

Hip atmosphere with friendly staff. The brunch is pretty good, especially the Poached Eggs with Grilled Tomato and Haloumi which was super tasty. We also ordered Madam Freda but that was very average and not really worth it. This place can be very crowded and does not take reservations. On top of this they do not quote wait times, so plan your visit carefully.

Michele Marin

Super! Totally random choice, it was amazing! Delicious burgers, friendly staff. We lost a piece of heart here <3

Hampton Chauncey

Great food. Exceptional service. Seriously one of the best run restaurants I've ever seen.

Juan Gutierrez

This famous brunch spot always has a crowd waiting in front on weekends because it's worth the wait. Tell the host your name and wait, don't jump inside and sit at the counter, they'll politely ask you to add your name on the wait list. High quality ingredients, expertly prepared is almost as good as the friendly precise service. I sat at the counter where the bartender seemed to be the happiest man on Earth with his ingratiating smile. There's a long table running straight through the middle of the restaurants with four top tables along both sides. My food and my drink were basically perfect. You must come here, you know you want to and you won't be disappointed if you do, enjoy!

Alba Alonso

Super nice place and food very well presented in the plate...the thing is that we arrived at first hour in the morning and even this we had to wait more than 40min for the brekfast...they brought us the coffe and when brekfast arrived was already super cold!! It is a nice place but if you go you have to know that you could spend more than 90min in total to have your brekfast...

Dalal Alhamdan

Good food and new flavors Breakfast is served here all day Real Mediterranean taste, labne was delicious Quick service and friendly staff The food was cold, everything even the coffee and the eggs Shakshuka is a green sunny side up Been here again this summer, but this time for lunch the place has s deafening But they’re still friendly and service is quick I would recommend they add rose water and a zest of lemon to the watermelon drink it would taste more like Mediterranean and better for me

Dragoon

You need to come early, or the waiting list will get long. However, the good taste of food worth it.

Luiz Marinho

Very good! Friendly service and wonderful food!

priyanka kulkarni

I went here for dinner with my friends. Very good wine and a bottle costs less compared to fancy places I have been in past. We had their hummus pita appetizers which had good portions. Very attentive services. Its usually crowded and quiet popular for its breakfast which I want to try someday. A charming restaurant.

Christy Chung

Amazing restaurant! I would recommend the chicken kebab - their green hot sauce is divine and goes well with the Israeli salad and couscous. They also have amazing hot chocolates that is not overly sweet and served with cream (also off the menu!). Great casual place to hang out with friends / family!

Kristina Kim

Cute little bistro setting... like brunching at my mother's garden. Loved the flavors and the dainty care that went imto the cuisine. Would come back whenever in the neighborhood.

David W

When the night before I ate a large pizza by myself chased by a big chocolate chip cookie, I go to Jack's to temper my guilt even though my pants are begging me to eat at Jack's everyday. This is probably one of the few healthy spots I could eat several times a week since they have eclectic menu choices. The green sauce they have is really awesome and should be bottled and sold. I would put the sh%t on everything!!! Props to whoever is doing the hiring too. The waitstaff reminds me that there are still nice people in this city. This place is in my lunchtime rotation and find I don't have to wait that often (usually there between 12:30-1:30). Definitely check this place out!

Charlotte Alfano

When I am in town, I always stop here at least once :). The food is delicious, the service is good, and I love the location. I would recommend anything on the menu, although the poached eggs with grilled tomato and haloumi is super tasty.

Ani Mason

So great! Cool vibe, good food, and they somehow always have space for you to sit.

yarinbenish

The place is nice, but the food wasn't so good in our opinion. We took the Green Shakshuka, but unfortunately, this is not a shakshuka (first you need to make the sauce and later to put the eggs but here, they just make fried egg and pour a sauce on top). The omelette was ok.

Kathryn Roberts

Great comfort food! Simple but well prepared. Cozy booths and family-style picnic tables. Our server and hostess were lovely. And, the Malva Pudding was one of the best desserts I ever have eaten. No joke!

Sven Oetinger

Jack Wife‘s Freda is always a „must do“ when we are in NYC. Yes, it is hip and hyped but worth it. Awesome Food and always super friendly Service. Go for the Melon Juice, grab some Rosewater Waffles or enjoy healthy bowls... but do it.

Carrie Wagler

Always amazing food, and I love the environment/vibes as well. I’ve gone several times for brunch (9:30/10:30), and always waited at least 20 minutes. It is tight, small, and crowded, so I wouldn’t recommend it if that is an issue for you. I recommend the rosewater waffle and the madame Freda!

Jeffrey Ates

Great service, food was flavorful and diverse and the atmosphere was homely and comfortable

Imtiaz Kabir

The best part of the visit was the service. The place is crazy busy, but the wait staff is so cordial, always smiling, explaining the food offerings and specials. In my opinion, the place is a bit overrated. The food was tasty, the wait was long, restaurant was very very noisy. The prices were not cheap. I think there are other places I could go instead. Oh well, you go once and check it done.

Kira Winner

Great little place. Quiet with friendly staff and delicious food

Harry Bradley

I found this to be an average restaurant. The burger was okay, I ordered it medium and found it too undercooked for my taste. Good matzo ball soup though.

Really really good Mediterranean food, nice atmosphere, and perfect service. Good wine selections. We went to the West Village location this time
