Let me just say I didn't get past the door, U turned and walked right out. The cashier (Roberto) was beyond rude to our group. Disrespect was only the first on his problems. He is an entitled jerk! Yelling that people hAve to move because HE said so! No thanks I don't need that kind of negativity when I'm trying to have some fun! I'll take my money somewhere else. No I don't recommend this place. WILL NEVER BE BACK! This fools supervisor has to have a little chat with him.

Spot to go if you want a live salsa band , good food, good drinks and a good crowd. They start setting up at around 11so if you want to dance just come after that time. Or if you want to save yourself some money and avoid the cover fee come at around 10

I when there last night with one of my closest friends and we sat at the bar. I sat there trying to get someone attention to get a menu and place an order but over twenty mins passed and nothing so we just left. Very disappointed and kind of disgusted that the bartender drank a bottle water not to far in front of us and still didn’t offer us anything. I will never step a foot into that establishment again

This is a good Latin restaurant/club/bar in Soho with some decent space for dancing and a live band that plays on Friday nights. Music wise, as a Latino, could be better, too much of the same genre gets bored.... It gets quite busy closer to midnight so be prepared to wait outside. There's usually a cover and they don't let you open a tab, although they accept credit cards. Kitchen is open until 2am on weekends which is kind of unusual for NYC and perfect after having a few drinks. Will come back to try the restaurant.

Ambiance & latin vibes was outstanding! Even if you don't know how to dance salsa or dance in general, you'll still have a good time. Be open to test the waters & try the movements. Have confidence, watch & learn from veterans (typically anyone) who knows what they're doing. Not complicated at all. It truly turns out into a salsa dance floor, have fun & enjoy!

I recently went there on a date on a Saturday night and I had a blast. The bartenders were really nice, clean spot overall, and the whole restaurant turns into a huge dancefloor at a certain time. There was a mix of music but the night started off with a heavy salsa vibe.

Went there for the first time on a Saturday. Place was extremely crowded. You could hardly dance because you were constantly getting shoved, poked, etc. Music was ok, I would have preferred more of a mix...too much hip hop and bachata for my taste. I'm more of a salsa lover. Don't think I would return.

Food was amazing, had to wait a bit but they took care of us. They gave us some drinks on the house. And the music afterwards was phenomenal. They need to upgrade their cocktails but a five star just because they know how to take care of their customers.

It's not like it used to be...friends and I, went on a Thursday night, i know it was a crowded night, but it took an hour to get the bartenders attention to get our first drinks, they all had attitudes, the manager was drinking with the bartenders, the manager yelled back at customers. We ended up getting water it was $3, a couple hours later they wanted to charge $5. Horrible customer service.

First impression as a blanquito: Went quite late on Saturday with some friends. There was some awesome live salsa (what we were looking for), but mostly reguetón and bachata from a DJ. When we were there it was $10 cover plus mandatory coat check $2/person. Security is serious (don't mess with them) and had a line down the block when we arrived—which makes sense because it was definitely at capacity (straight sardines on the dancefloor). Decent empanadas downstairs, even at 3am. I'll definitely be back next weekend though perhaps earlier to catch more of the salsa band.

Dont waste your money... customer survice sucks, super tight, bathroom is in the basement but you have to walk to the other side of the business where they use to have the old Gonzalez and Gonzales on Broadway. I use love this place, the service the food and the music everything was nice when it was on the Broadway entrance. I don't know if its under new owner, but its horrible. You can't even complain because management don't care and gets loud and mad, to keep it short. I use to bring clients and have dinner and great music, also friends and family out of town. Like I said the music is great especially the live music but the way is being run. Save your money and stress and go some where else... I have tried a few different days to see if its better and if i just got a bad night. But Wednesday, Thursday, friday and Saturday night stay away. I haven't tried the other days left and I wont... I can go and on about the bad experiences but i already wrote alot.... hope this helps you with your decision....

Amazing place... so far the best latin party I've found in New York. If you get there before 10 you don't have to pay cover, after that you should pay 10 bucks. They have a good variety of beers and also cocktails. The happy hour is from 4 pm to 8 pm. If you're hungry there's a bunch of options to eat, even in the late night. Crowded place...but who needs a seat when the plan is dancing the entire night?

Roberto the guy at the door has a really bad attitude, understanding that the place gets busy, he literally put his finger in my friends husbands face even tho we were waiting for HIM so that we could pay our cover. He had a really bad attitude, yelled to him “if i say you come here then you come here” terrible just terrible. I flew in all the way from a California, excited to go salsa and didn’t end up going in because Roberto killed my night, not the service st the bar or the music cause i didn’t even get to go in and check it out. If you or someone you love LOVES salsa, then THURSDAY IS THE DAY TO GO! Salseros Will have a tremendous amount of fun and the live band is not at all bad. Can the end a song a little bit sooner? Yeah. But is you a weak spirited individual!? Nah!? Then you'll have fun! It's a great place to go on Fridays as well for bachata, merengue and reggaeton!

The only saving grace was the live band. Otherwise the dance floor was too small leaving no chance to dance comfortably. The decoration is stereotypical Mexican as were some of the menus offerings. Didn’t drink so can’t speak to their quality but don’t have high hopes.

The staff will let you know; be nice, it's a rule and you are told about it with anticipation. The place may be fun on the inside however security should be fired and rehired with actual professionals. I witnessed the head security, Luis, receive cash from guests trying to enter the place to avoid making the line like the rest of us. Luis advised these 4 guests they still have to make the $10 entrance fee. We made eye contact as all this occurred. Additionally, the head security's friend had an altercation with another guest. The friend was the one who initiated however was advising Luis to take out the other individual from the place which occurred. Security is very unprofessional and unethical.

Tourist in NYC. Was here for a Hispanic neuroscience get-together and I was impressed. Food was great, drinks were strong, and then the dancing went all night. I think we left at 1AM and there was a line of people waiting in the freezing cold to get in.

From the service, the space to set up decorations, the FOOD, the drinks, music, even to the owner, they are absolute too notch. I came here with my girls on a Saturday night. We made reservations at 9:15 for 4 people and last minute I added a 5th guest which they accomadated right away! The vibe, the music was amazing! Their live salsa band was great! Two things that really disappointed me was that our food was room temp. I ordered a skirt steak and it was not hot at all and it was over cooked I had ordered it medium well and it came well done. On top of that the server made a mistake with the cash given at the end which to be honest I didn’t mind at all we are all humans and we make mistakes, BUT the manager insisted that we were lying!! He Immediately said no that’s impossible instead of saying okay we will return whatever they charged extra ! We did get the money back but didn’t feel like they owned up to it. So rude. I was excited mostly about the food and live band but if my food would of been hotter and cooked to the right temp I would of given this place more stars, the food did taste good but unfortunately given the situation I was a bit disappointed.

Easy to see right off of Mercer Street. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Moderately clean facilities. Public Restroom. Great for Mexican cuisine and there's a nice bar inside. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. We will most likely be going back.

Service isn't great when eating, wanted for my beer at the table which never arrived after asking twice. My friends asked to take the remaining food with them and they compressed (squished) the meals into tiny containers. We enjoyed the bar, and the bartenders! The bartenders get 5 stars.

Security guards feel like they have the right to disrespect people only because of their position. They won't allow you to finish your $15 drink right at closing time 4 am they would right away snatch it from your hand once it hits 4. Me as a fellow bartender understand the eager to go home at closing but that's no reason to be so disrespectful and threaten people to not be allowed back in premises just for not being able to drink a full drink in a minute.

Every time I go here, I have a blast. The music is great and the people are fun and inviting. I've been here for dancing and for dinner and I can highly recommend both. It's a great idea to come for a weekend dinner and stick around before the place gets packed. By 11:30 pm, there's a line down the block just to enter. Additionally, they often request a $10 cover to enter for dancing weekend nights. It gets very crowded, so sometimes actual dancing is sort of difficult, but it is always the right spot for a good time. I've come countless times and will probably continue to come. I love the atmosphere and the live bands weekend nights!

AMAZING HAPPY HOUR, AMAZING DRINKS!! My favorite is the Blue Lui. Food is always delicious and then after happy hour a band comes and plays live music. There's salsa dancing, merengue, some bacahata. You dance the night away with a full tummy knowing you had a great time. I gave it 4 stars only because when companies/people rent the venue, it is closed out to all others.
