Love food, service and new location.
These guys just moved venue last week, still awaiting alcohol license, but boy did the food make our visit worthwhile! Everything was cooked to perfection with interesting flavours and the staff are lovely as well. All round a must visit location!
We got there Saturday October 22nd, and it was closed. There wasn't any notification on their website it seemed... We were disappointed about that...
amazing place, tasty food and fair price for a gluten free restaurants. attention to details makes this the best experience I had so far.
We had our private party at this beautiful restaurant. Everything was organised well and on time. Food is die for! Everything we picked from their party package was delicious and outstanding. Prices so wise, and location is very convenient. Their staff was professional, very kind and friendly. Every one would go extra mile to satisfy their patrons. Can't recommend it enough! God Bless you Colors!
Fantastic meal and service
Love it
Colors is an amazing find !! Every dish that came to our table was great - crispy fried chicken - flavorful roasted veggies (I was in heaven ). Delishious complimentary biscuits started the meal . (I eat gluten so I didn't care if they were gluten free I couldn't tell - they were great !) The service was gracious and friendly. If you are in the Village Soho or Noho - this is the Restuarant to head too !
The gluten free restaurant that was colors is closed. They now rent out their space to chefs doing special events.
Brunch is great. Good atmosphere, $10 bottomless mimosas, live jazz, and as someone who can eat gluten, I wasn't able to tell the food was without it - unlike most gluten-free spots.
I was introduced to Colors by a good friend of mine. We went there for dinner and I must say that the food was spectacular. It is a gluten free restaurant. It was my first time ever dining at a gluten free restaurant so I was skeptical at first but when I saw the menu and then finally got my food, I felt like I was eating in heaven. The service was excellent. Cocktails were on point. Its a beautiful place to be Very cozy and they have great wines too. I really recommend this to anyone.
Food was decadent and amazing, very inspired. Service was well above expectations. Worth the visit, will return!
As a foodie with Celiac's I was overjoyed with an entirely safe menu. With my first visit to NYC, I was hoping to find something to enjoy and Colors offer d more than I could hope for! Vibrant, complimentary flavors, generous portions, friendly/knowledgeable staff and inviting environment. DEFINITELY recommended!
Amazing food, service, and gluten free menu.
excellent and varied selection of international dishes with warm, friendly service
Colors is a delightful, totally gluten-free restaurant. Celiacs rejoice! Staff is welcoming and attentive; the food excellent. Among the dishes we sampled were the sweet corn risotto appetizer; buttermilk fried chicken; and hake with grape tomatoes and green goddess dressing. A strawberry and peach shortcake was shared for dessert. All were delicious. The restaurant just got its wine and beer license for this new location; nice wine list by the glass and bottle, with beer and cider coming soon. Highly recommended!
Great management, excellent service, delicious food, romantic atmosphere. Would love to come here over and over again!
I haven't eaten here but am adding stars because THANKS for doing all GF and to let you know that we will do GF brunch Sundays and will put you on the rotation when you get it running so plz pop an email out to ppl!
Good gluten free food. A little excursive for what it is, but the staff are lovely
Everything is amazing.
Nice space!
I love that it's gluten free! Great atmosphere.
The food was excellent. Great service too. Bartender made really solid drinks. Great find, highly recommend
I think this place might be close....showed up for dinner was planning on trying something new and the doors were closed with postings on the door
Restaurant started by "Windows On the World" employees after 9/11. Small, eclectic menu of ethnic dishes from around the world. Food is good, and servers are friendly. Good for a light meal before the show at the Public Theatre.
A jewel in NOHO. Discovered this place after a show at the public theater. The food is whimsical and delicious - it's truly impressive to experience how gluten-free cuisine could taste so unrestricted and expansive. Their gluten-free desserts and fried chicken is a work of magic (how do pastries taste even better without regular wheat flour?)! The service and ambiance is top notch as well - professional, and yet so intimate and friendly. Definitely a gem to continue re-visiting.
Felt compelled to write a review - this place is unreal. I'm not even gluten free, and this place blew my mind. Small select menu of the best food ever.
A few weeks ago, I traveled from Montreal to New York City and I had the chance to eat at Colors, a restaurant inspired by world cuisine. Because I have celiac disease and multiple food intolerance and food allergies, going to the restaurant is always a little bit tricky. But, by going to Colors, I didn't have to worry about gluten, because their kitchen is 100% gluten free!!! My family and I we were spoiled with the most delicious meals. I started off with chicken wings and then, I took the crispy lamb served with a green salad… So amazing! Best lamb I have ever tasted! Compliments to the chef who had to juggle with my numerous food intolerances, but who was brilliant through it all. Finally, a big thank you to all the restaurant staff members for their generosity and kindness and for making my visit at Colors a moment to cherish forever. I hope I get to see you all soon. Sincerely, Véronique
Nice party area. Some of the people who work there are nice. One of the bartenders is pretty rude.
I love this restaurant! they have an open kitchen and i'm very surprised at how delicious the food tastes! you wouldn't know its a Gluten free restaurant. they even have fried chicken yaaaaaay! go grab a meal and you too will be won over.
I didn't tell my husband it was a gluten free restaurant until after he finished eating because I knew he would be biased, and he loved it! He got fried chicken and had no idea. I got fish and it was quite good. I loved the decor and atmosphere. I loved that you can see into the kitchen at watch the chefs at work. My only criticism is that many of the menu options included dairy, and although I know it is not a dairy free restaurant, many people avoid gluten dairy and soy for health reasons, and I would've loved to see more options and maybe something on the menu indicating what common allergens are included. Thanks for this great restaurant I will definitely return!
Love this place! regular guest for 2 years already.
Best pancakes everrrr !!! Who would of thought gluten free would be so yummy !!! ( I hardly ever write reviews but this one is so worth it) Enjoy !!
what a disappointment. really wanted so much to like it. menu not very interesting and service was so tentative.
Amazing gluten-free! A must try
+++ - Service was awesome an always with a smile ++ - Awesome bartender, he knows how to make a drink - That fried chicken was good, it was moist, flaky, and boneless + - Although the apple cake for dessert was good, I felt it was missing some pizzazz - Atmosphere is warm and hip. It's the kind of place to go on a date or bring your parents when they come to town - - Drinks are on the expensive side, at $14+ - Tuna appetizer is incredibly small
My favourite gluten free restaurant. It is a real hidden gem in Astor place.
Delicious Brussels sprouts, the food was delicious and not too salty. Great meal.
Great food, and it's all non-GMO and humanely raised farm to table meats. They personally visit every farm they buy from.
I went to this place when I was in New York visiting, loved the food and the vibe..They play live Jazz music and serve gluten free food. Great atmosphere, the bartender was awesome, served great drinks and conversation! Will definitely be visiting again.
Fair food tastes better but chef Aaron's outstanding culinary skills don't need the extra boost of flavor to make this spot an experience worth returning to again and again!
I'm not really one to write reviews, but I really liked this restaurant. A few friends and I happened upon it on Sunday for brunch. The atmosphere was great (live jazz!!), the staff was really friendly, the food was delicious, and my bloody mary had the perfect amount of spice. I'll be back!
Awesome food and great service. Dedicated gluten free and completely safe for us Celiac folks. A bit pricey but well worth it! Had thanksgiving dinner there today.
The service, the food, and the atmosphere were all wonderful here. I am not well-versed in gluten-free dining but came here to celebrate the birthday of friend with celiac. There were no issues on this front as everything is GF. I would return anytime, with or without her!
great concept failed execution
such an incredible place! always friendly staff.since I'm very picky about healthy food, it's the best gluten free food found spot ever. I would suggest it to everyone.
Never open when listed
Highly recommend going and checking out Chef Ray's pop up restaurant every Saturday and Sunday
I've dined here a few times and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken is to die for! Ughhhh so good lol The flavors and the kick of the chipotle honey in the potato puree....it's definitely a menu item I strongly recommend. Also, the staff is very friendly. I am well taken care of when I show up. I'm a regular so they know what I want as soon as I walk in lol
Great and healthy food! Like this place.
Been there. Very cozy and quiet place with real music. Perfect place to have a romantic dinner.
I love this restaurant. The food is super delicious and the service is a very friendly and attentive. It's definitely 5 stars place.
Love their new location
This new space looks amazing. Loved it!
Fantastic Gluten Free options and comforting food. 100% gluten free so it's a great options for celiacs! Friendly staff to look after ya. Most of the other Google reviews are from prior to their renovations last October so they're completely irrelevant and obsolete. Buttermilk fried chicken, pan seared skate, crispy shrimp with Sriracha, chicken wings, etc, all mostly locally sources with a great up-scale flare. Great flavor profiles and the chef truly executes on point. They used to change the menu daily so you know your dealing with folk that take quality cuisine seriously. This nonprofit venture treats their employees fairly so it's a good initiative to support.
Great addition to the LES. Great gluten free options. The decor is very trendy and have nice atmosphere. They also host a great training program for restaurant workers. There is wheel chair accessible entrance, seating and restrooms.
Simply Amazing
Great food!!!
Great service, wonderful food, comfy ambience, gorgeous interior, socially conscious. All around, a perfect choice!
The place is amazing but the original restaurant I think is closed
Our dinner was absolutely amazing and the service was the same. They even gave is a tour of the kitchen and played a game with apple sodas with us. Truly an amazing experience, highly recommend.
Su comida es de lo mejor en el area de Manhattan
Amazing restaurant! Highly recommend it. Delicious food, friendly staff. We had Brussels sprouts salad and pretzels to start. For entree we had baby back ribs and John Dory fish. All it had unbelievable balance of flavor profile. Their chocolate pot de creme is a must to have!!! Can't wait to go back!
What an experience! From the gluten free beer list to the appetizers and to the main course, everything was delicious. They offer Glutenberg family of beers. I tried the White beer. I felt as if I was drinking a Blue Moon, which I hadn't had in oh so many years. The appetizers were scrumptious. We had the Brussels sprouts and the hot wings. Both options were delicious. I've never had a better batch of hot wings, gluten free or not. For our main dish we had the buttermilk fried chicken. Oh. My. God. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was he best fried chicken I've ever had. All in all, a wonderful experience, and we will be back soon! Ashley & Ryan
