The evening was a bit of a dichotomy. At first the hostess, bartender and waitress were rude and grumpy but as the night went on all of that changed! The waitress was super knowledgeable and the food was delicious. She gave Great recommendations and the decor and feel was lovely. Order the Moroccan Margarita!! It’s deeeelish

Ambiance Claudette has a very charming decor. I felt like I walked into a local restaurant located somewhere in the countryside of Paris. It is a nice dining ambiance especially if you want to get away from the daily New York City bustle. Food Our table ordered about 10 dishes but the three that really stood out were the steak, skate, and the grilled octopus. The octopus was served on a bed of chickpea puree and the steak was cooked exactly how we requested. The best dish we had was the skate. The waitress informed us that it is seasonal but if you see it on the menu, don't hesitate to order it! Desert was decent but limited and cocktails were strong.

Wish I had more pictures to share, but this will have to do for now. Visited Claudette for brunch last weekend on a gorgeous 65 degree day and it was really lovely! Our group of two was able to sit outside and enjoy the weather, however fair warning it gets noisy outside, I’m not sure I would always choose that again since the interior is super cute. I started with a cappuccino, had the Eggs Benedict as my main, along with pomme frites as a shared side and all of it was delicious. Eggs Benedict was the best of the three, the cappuccino was on par, but nothing special, fries were good as well and came with a really nice sauce on the side. Would definitely come back for another visit and highly recommend for those living/visiting the city for a cute spot for a well-done French brunch!

Our server was particularly helpful in selecting dishes that would meet our needs and giving information about flavors, recommendations, and portion sizes. Additionally, the restaurant easily accommodates vegetarians, and some of our dishes were prepared with meat on the side so our group could share some dishes. We were all pleased with the service and the flavors.

Everything here is tremendously succulent. The muhammara wasn't exactly authentic but was still very tasty. Every piece of bread was crusty and satisfying. And the lamb. The lamb was the special for the night and it was one of the best servings of lamb I've ever had. Flavorful, cooked to perfection, and paired with a perfect assortment of pine nuts, pomegranate seeds, and creamy polenta - it was truly spectacular. A cozy restaurant with homey decor, this is a must try spot for anyone who can manage it.

Came here for brunch with a friend. We loved the decor and feel, and both wanted to be back to try dinner. The staff is friendly, had a great waiter who was helpful and attentive (forgot his name though, sorry!). I had the shakashouka egg brunch dish. It’s spicy, FYI for those who are less tolerant to it, for those who aren’t this dish is SO tasty! It comes with bread too so you can dip it in the sauce - yum!

I went to Claudette for dinner and all of the food was heaven. The ambiance in here is so peaceful and perfect. I love the lighting and the decor. This place is healthy and there are many vegetable and fish dishes. I recommend their octopus appetizer. I would definitely want to come back here for brunch.

Underwhelming French food cooked well but doesn't really seem as exciting as it should be Skip the tagine and go for the chicken or the pasta. Lamb prepared well but not seasoned well. Great wine list and excellent service, but wish the menu and the food was as well done.

A little overpriced for its quality. Had 3 course prix fixed for $75. Foie Gras terrine, a good combination of flavors. But entrée is mediocre, while jus is seasoned with interesting flavor, the red snapper itself is boring. Chocolate dessert is reasonable. I will pay 2/3 for its quality.

Claudette is a little gem perched on the corner of 5th avenue and E. 9th street, looking very Parisienne against the backdrop of this fancy NYC neighborhood. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. It didn't get too loud, but it's certainly not quiet. The cuisine, a mix of french cooking inspiration and north-african & mediterranean flavors, was delicious! Certainly better than expected, but not a mind-blowing value. In their defense, NYC pricing makes it difficult for any well-appointed restaurant to really nail it on the value-for-money category, especially with cocktails. Service, however, was way above average. The staff we interacted with were incredibly attentive, patient, and generous with their time and information. They made my guests and the birthday honoree very comfortable, happy, and full. We would recommend, and will definitely return.

The food is definitely worth the price for brunch. Pleasing aesthetics from the food presentation to the decor of the place. And I actually got a medium rare lamb burger like they said it would be done! The omelette is awfully pretty to look at, but not too sure the flavors go that well together. The coffee is decent too. Great service is a plus. Make a reservation before you come! Overall, a nice first impression.

Claudette is one of the best restaurant discoveries I made in 2018. I came here for dinner and found the food phenomenal, the service excellent and the interior to be so warm and intimate that it made me feel like I was inside of someone's living room. I really couldn't recommend this place any more and will be looking for a special occasion to come back. Get: * Sasso chicken liver mousse * Le pain Tunisien (!) * Creamy burrata (!!!) * Sasso chicken (!!) * Lamb tagine (!!!) * And the Ile Flottante for dessert The one thing I didn't really care for were the grilled shitake mushrooms.

A bit disappointing. The food is decent/not good and expensive. The oysters were a mess. Presented on a layer of ice half melted, they were bathing in water. They were also full of small chunks of broken shells. The peas came with cubes of feta that looked and tasted like supermarket cheese. Flat bread and eggplant were very good. The carrots were tasty too. I had a cocktail with blueberry syrup that was too candy like to be good. The simple cocktail with Ricard and lemon was ok. Nice setting, service could be more friendly and smiling.

As a vegetarian it can often be challenging to find a menu of it suits carnivores as well as herbivores, the Claudette delivered in style and amazing beet salad and sweet potato thing. The spices are awesome reminiscent of Marrakesh.

It's a great brunch spot. I'd love to go back and try the lamb tagine for dinner. Staff were very attentive and pretty fast. I liked the location and decor. It's very nice.

Had an absolutely amazing experience here for my 30th Birthday last night! I went for restaurant week which I feel like the food is typically not as good as usual but everything I had was mindblow. As soon as I walked in someone took my coat and was very helpful. The service was amazing. Ordered a bottle of rose and my glass was never empty(well until we finished it). The decor is so cute and the place is very intimate. Thank you so much for making my birthday so very special! I will be back!

Had their dinner special today, which was risotto with prawns and scallops and squid and octopus. It was delicious. The portion was also much larger than it appeared, so it was very filling. For dessert, definitely get their Vahlrona chocolate cake -- it is rich without being too sweet. The ice cream has a refreshing berry flavor to balance out the chocolate as well. My friend got the chicken tajine; the chicken was so tender and flavorful.

I had the chicken (which was unbelievable) and it unfortunately came out really undercooked but when I told the waiter he and the chef fixed it right away. They were very nice about it and even sent the carrots side dish while we waited. (Which the carrots were out of this world so the wait wasn’t bad at all). Highly recommend!

4 of us went for dinner on a weeknight. We were given what the hostess described as a quiet table, which was near the back of the bar. The noise level increased as the evening progressed, but wasn't too loud. Service was friendly and attentive. We had oysters, hummus with truffles, a salad, then shared the whole fish and the chicken. All the food was delicious! Very well prepared. Our request for more pita was readily fulfilled. The wine selection for by the glass was very good.
