Tasty Thai food!

Tom Kat

The food is (I'm drooling thinking about it) so so so good. I know I'm going back here again. The service was just as good. Crab fried rice is a must as is spicy drunken noodles. For those that like it really hot, make sure you say something when you order, otherwise it's just a little kick of heat.

Ed García Conde

Very charming space and the staff is very helpful and love to make recommendations. The food is very good. Loved the California roll which was larger than other places and the whole wheat lo mein with bok choy and mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and not overly salty, just right.

Marc Cracco

Well priced decent quick lunch place.

Once we cleared our jackets, we were sat promptly down, the place was empty surprisingly so we didn't have to wait (we were actually the only patrons). We ordered a mapo tofu ($16.00), Chinese broccoli ($7.00), hot and sour soup ($7.00), and drunken noodles ($15.00). The service was amazingly on point (although not hard to do since we were the only ones there). Our waters were kept filled and occasionally our waiter will check up on us without being annoying. He also answered all our inquiries about the dishes with no qualms. The portions were small for the prices they charged. The soup was only good for about one adult and it cost $7.00... I'd say felt more like a $3.00-$4.00 value. Although I will say the food was good though, it had this nice nostalgic feel to it when eating the dishes. The mapo tofu was delicious with the silky tofu and savoriness of the ground pork, chilies and scallion (green onion). It wasn't too spicy that I couldn't enjoy the dish at all, but rather a nice small kick instead. I also really enjoyed their garlic Chinese broccoli, simple dish with great garlic flavor complements. The boyfriend did like their drunken noodles and hot and sour soup as well! Warmed him up and left him satisfied with his meal. Was it mind blowing food (would explain the prices)? Not really, but it was a nice delicious homey kind of good food. It was definitely on the expensive end of dinners, those four dishes cost us over $50.00 after tax and tip. That's $25.00+ per person! I wish the portions were bigger for the prices, that definitely would be really nice for the value. Food is 3 stars worthy, but add the service and ambiance I'd kick it to a 4 stars. :) Just unfortunate not a place I can frequent if I came back to New York due to prices...

This place is EVERYTHING!!!

Very hip and very delicious Chinese food. For small plates, especially recommend the ribs and the slaw. For entrees, the salmon and the salt-and-pepper chicken. The vegetables are always fresh and delicious.

I only have 2 words for the food here: please and seriously?? Bland, tasteless, mostly noodle. Definite avoid!

La comida buena, lugar moderno y los precios accesibles

It may be fine to eat here, but I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant for MealPal. I had a yellow cockroach-looking bug in my chicken drunken noodles. I'm not sure what it was exactly but it was disturbing as was their response: I took the food back to the restaurant and she told me they would make a fresh one, but she took one of the bags already there (they have about 10-15 bags sitting out on the counter for MealPal people to pick up) back to the kitchen, and then someone brought out a "fresh" bag a couple minutes later. I think they just heated up that old one because the turnaround was so fast. The portion was also pretty small and greasy -- I think they may just use the cheapest ingredients since the MealPal meals probably pay them so little. I'm guessing they take more care and use higher quality ingredients for customers who eat in, but will personally be avoiding the restaurant.

Howard Williams

Really fabulous food. Just terrific. Cool minimalist atmosphere. Good service.

L. Olivia

Solid food with stellar service. Try the pork dumplings, drunken noodles, and papaya salad. Although I didn't have any alcohol, the cocktails and wine selection are reasonably priced. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. My husband and I both enjoyed the experience and will be back!

Suzanne Balestier

Very creative and satisfying dishes in a comfortable modern atmosphere. Great service as well! Get the coconut flan!!

Erica Smith

They should call it Sad Thai. It was dry, brown, and pricey.

Connie Gold

Great little spot. Food, drinks and service were all good. Our food came out quickly and the wait staff was all very nice. Spicy passion fruit margarita was great!

Chanique Turner

Happen to be in the city and I saw this place had amazing reviews. But the food was not that good. I will only recommend the dumplings.

Donald Christensen

The noise level is deafening. The food quality is not worth the anxiety of having to yell to be heard by the servers or your companions.

For starters, one of us in the party has gluten issues. The server could not have been more knowledgeable or helpful. Consequently, we were able to enjoy the salt and pepper organic baby chicken and the mapo tofu in complete confidence. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and presented. The space itself is interesting architecturally. Most important, though, was the graciousness of the staff and the food they brought to us. We will surely return.

Chop Shop II is a solidly tasty east Asian restaurant in a small, attractive space. Service is the weak point. Our main waiter was polite and nice, but otherwise things were confused. One item never arrived at all, and another dish had to be asked for twice to eventually show up. And the bartender who came by to bring drinks at various points was curt and at one point placed all of the beers and drinks at one section of the table, rather than actually trying to figure out who got what. Nothing was majorly bad, it just wasn't great either. The food however was all decent to good. I tried the mango avocado summer roll and the pan fried veggie dumplings for appetizers, and had a tofu drunken noodles for a main and enjoyed them all. The drunken noodles surprisingly could've used some more salt, but with some additional soy sauce on the side it was perfect. All in all, a nice place with mixed service.

Asian food in a different way . To be tasted !!! Location small but very nice . Service at a very good level .

Ana Holguin

Great restaurant, staff and service

Helen Zhao

Cute Chinese restaurant with nice, simple interior design. Hip, social vibes. Staff are all super friendly & attentive - tip them well. Drinks are fantastic - tasty yet strong. Jajiangmien was awesome! Salt & pepper chicken was good but hard to eat because of the bones. Pork chops looked great too.

Danielle Chambers

The food was incredible, the salmon melted in my mouth.

Sandy Tseng

Friendly staff, delicious food. Penang green curry and crab fried rice delicious and instant favorites

Excellent service and everything tastes great. CA t wait to go again.

For appetizers, we ordered the avocado summer roll and pan-fried dumplings. Each came with 4 pieces and were really good. For mains, we had the thai fried rice, Tofu pad Thai and the poached salmon. The salmon was delicious and clearly the best out of the 3. For desert, we had the Gelato and coconut creme Carmel. The coconut creme was amazing. Highly recommend it.

Anthony Muljadi

Affordable and delicious!

Mark Shildkret

Delicious and reasonably priced

Alexandra Wells

I absolutely adore this restaurant! I had the most amazing Thai Fried Rice, my friends all loved their meals as well--- fabulous chicken panang curry, avocado and mango summer rolls, among others. The waiters were very kind and our food was served promptly. We'll definitely go back again! Loved it!

Gabi Faria

Lovely place with excellent food! We ordered salmon fried rice, veggies dumplings, cucumber salad and drunken chicken noodles. Every dish came perfectly tasteful!

Christopher Wang

Cozy, casual atmosphere that's nice enough for a business lunch as well as after work drinks/light dinner. Food is great and not an overly complicated menu. Also an amazing location tucked away from the craziness on Broadway.

Andy Ng

Pretty nice modern her minimally designed place. Menu features a variety of classic Asian dishes. Some hits and misses with the food. Dumpling skins were thick and gummy, and the dumplings sat in a peanut sauce broth. Entrees were tasty. Dessert was a little cloyingly sweet. Service was nice and friendly.

Olivia Torres

Ordered it for a specific time, ended up waiting additional 20 minutes after getting there to pick it up. Not cool bc my lunch hour was limited that day. The veggie curry was overpriced and had really large unappetizing potato pieces (squash? pumpkin?). However the atmosphere is nice and their pricing for other dishes looks good. Maybe I just got the wrong dish and you should dine-in not takeout.

Sean Arendell

Love this place. Great bar and happy hour and friendly staff. Tasty curry and dumplings.

WeHo Addict

The food was good when they first opened shop a few years ago. But it's been inconsistent ever since. First few time I had their Drunken Noodle it was flavorful and spicy and delicious. Most recently it looked and tasted bland. I also recently ordered pad thai here. They didn't even season the noodles. When I opened the to-go bag I knew it looked off with not even a hint of orange color to it. When I tasted it, the noodles were just plain noodles and the shrimp seemed barely cooked. I don't know how you mess up a simple dish like that so badly and not even realize it.

Austin Lee

Everything is cooked exceptionally well. My group had the flank steak, beef with broccoli and the risotto. Normally the beef and broccoli would feel out of place as a dish but it's kicked up a notch. Also if you haven't had il laboratorio gelato get it here.its one of the best gelato places in the city

Kayode Adeniyi

They've got good food

Nana Boateng

Chop Shop's Crab fried rice is amazing. It is one of the reasons I keep coming back. The food is good, the staff is friendly and accommodating and they always seem to want to make you feel at home. I love the decor, it is very welcoming and neutral. I only wish their portion sizes were bigger.

Lila Cien

good place to go for lunch.

Bart Rosenthal

Absolutely delicious. We always loved the Chelsea original and are so thrilled for it to be here in Flatiron. Don't let the subtle façade fool you, it's a must.

Dipendra Misra

I had a 10min long conversation with the server about not putting meat in the mapo tofu. In my past experience, some Chinese restaurants say they don’t put meat but they simply handpick the meat later. I told them twice not to put pork including handpicking. I got the food with pork all over it. Unfortunately, I was too far from the restaurant to realize it so didn’t go back but won’t be here again.

Zachary Ripley

Christine Cha

Very bland. Maybe it would be good for people who have never tried Asian cuisines and aren't used to any flavor in their food. Decent atmosphere and good service.

Katarzyna Olszewska

Rishi Bhargava

Slaw salad, drunken noodles, amazing combo. Check this place out!

Raj Hathiramani

Delicious food at a reasonable price, try the vegetarian dumplings, papaya salad, noodle dishes, and craft cocktails.

Pretty great place as it's relatively hidden. I got the Drunken Noodles, which were pretty good. Service was extremely fast and that was much appreciated.

alexey lutsenko

Great spot , good food, very friendly staff,

Matt Autton

Food was alright but it took ages. We were sitting around for 30mins until we got our cocktails and another 15 till we got our food. There were only 6 of us. I wouldn't come here for a quick bite at lunch but maybe after work

Staff was friendly and helpful, however it was suggested I try the penang curry and I didn't think it was very good.

パンと芋に少しあきてきたの行ってみました。 各料理は、アメリカらしくなく少なめです 味は、本格中華・アジアンと言うよりは、洋食ナイズされてる感じです。

Curry is great.

Gustav M

Look at the picture those are $18 & $16 food. One of the worst restaurant ever.

Sharon Annette

Lovely little spot...nice atmosphere, good service and delicious food. I had the fried pork dumplings and the drunken chicken. I'd recommend them both!

Kenneth Ong

The food is decent although portion is small. I was disappointed by the service - it was rather crass. The service is at best "Chinatown standard" - the waiters offer me little time to check out the menu, brought me the check when I haven't asked for it, asked me whether I am interested in desert without showing me the desert menu, etc.

Mike Evans

Great spot for lunch. I had the Thai glazed eggplant and it was delicious - well prepared, tasty, and good serving size for the price. Even the rice was delicious. 10/10 will go back.

chris portscheller

Great lunch specials.. The papaya salad is amazing. The glazed egg plant is amazing.

Aurora Anderson

Best panang curry and it's not even a thai spot- no antibiotic chicken, on the bone, perfectly seasoned. Lo mein- yum. Salt/ pepper shrimp- yummer! Service was perfect. Can't wait to go again! Cute little outdoor terrace out back.

Chi Mao

Cant believe how nice they are! I have an Mealpal order with this store but my app has problem and I cannot open it. The boss ( a nice lady) of this restaurant just said I can still take it and write a letter back to Mealpal to confirm my name. Btw, the food is also very good! Sometimes a warm service can really make you happy for all day.:)

Benjamin Jones

Good food. Service was a little lacking, but not bad.
