REVIEWS OF Cask Bar & Kitchen IN New York

Katie Hallock

I’d found this place through Yelp, kept it on my list of possibilities and when we happened to be near this part of town we give it a try. It was around 2:30p on a Saturday in early August and we basically had the place to ourselves. We were immediately greeted and our order came out pretty quick. We went with the lamb nachos and the philly spring rolls. Both were so good!! The chips were some of the thinnest, crispiest and best I’ve had anywhere. The lamb had quite a subtle flavor and was SUPER tender!! The spring rolls had the BEST dipping sauce. We ate every bite. Near the end of our meal our waitress disappeared a bit. But that’s the only “complaint”. Great food! We’d definitely come back again!

We have had the pleasure of doing business with Cask for many years now. From an insider prospective everyone from the owner to staff members are a pleasure to work with, the food and drinks are very good. Must visit them if your in the vicinity.

Lucy Presecan

Great food has an awesome bacon cheese burger. very nice atmosphere not very loud nice background music

I really wanted to rate this place higher, however, based on my last experience I was very disappointed with the service. My cousin and I met here for drinks and had the happy hour. I had the wine and he was having one of the cocktails. When his drink came out, it was reallyyyyyy watered down...so we asked the server if it can be made bit stronger...and she said, no problem. Little did we know, they charged us 7 bucks for that for each drink..which ended up being $14 a drink times three....if we really wanted a $14 drink, we would've gone somewhere else....the worst part was that our server never informed us that it would be extra....i have gone to many places and many happy hours and never had such experience. At least be up front about it rather than us finding out when the check comes. Never again!!

Lively, well decorated place. Atmosphere is great, nice music. Prices are around what you'd expect for the neighborhood- not cheap, but not $$$ expensive. Food is mostly small plates, which in NYC is more expensive than large dishes, but it's all delicious. Most notably, I think Cask has the best Brussel Sprouts I've ever had. Just the right amount of crispyness and char, in perfect bite sizes.

Roisin o'flaherty

Strong constrasting flavours in food. Eclectic range of beer. My beer came warm to the table... Still not sure if that was supposed to be like that! Nice decor.

John Alot

Bartender was nice but the Fish and Chips was overpriced for being pathetically average, frozen, fried fish and medium cut fries. The decor is classic old pub style and only 2 televisions so it does not have that obnoxious, sports bar atmosphere. The music wasn't bad. The beer selection was so Spartan I drank wine. I won't be returning as there are plenty of other pubs in the neighborhood to try.

Kellyn Will

Awesome brunch place. They have excellent options for pitchers too

Ralph Khawly

recently went there for happy hour and it was packed. Slender hallway to get to the hostess which the wait was about 2 hours. We were 3 and decided to have some apps and drinks and eat by the hallway. after about an hour of waiting for the food, the hostess offered us a seat downstairs. After going downstairs we got some more drinks and food. The food was good but the service was touch and go. We eventually got asked for our seats since some people were waiting upstairs. This place might be good when its a little slower but I would not recommend going during happy hour.

Loretta Azzarone

I love this place but not at peak Too crowded and noisy

paddy caffrey

Fantastic food ,drinks and atmosphere

Emerson Kokol

Went for dinner and stayed for happy hour too. Arrived around 6 and found out it was an hour wait for two (reservations are only for 4+). The drinks were very good and the atmosphere is great. After about an hour or so, we got our table and ordered another round of drinks and got the short rib sliders, crab cake and tuna tartar. Everything came out quick and fantastic. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant. I'll definitely look to return soon.

Mark Jewell

Really fun bar with extensive restaurant to boot meaning delicious bar food options. Mixed age crowd and very busy during happy hour. Very desirable window arch seating by the entrance

Eric Mueller

Great menu, friendly service, excellent bar. Quiet even when crowded. Highly recommend

Allison Jara

VERY pleased with this place! Went with my boyfriend for brunch. I was visiting the city for the weekend and had found this place on yelp a couple weeks prior to the trip and decided to try it out. The decor is adorable. It had a home-y feel and the background noise and customer chatters adds to the welcoming affect. We were promptly seated with quick service, which was surprising seeing how busy they were. I ordered The Hangover as the title tended to my current state of being and was very satisfied. The eggs, the gruyere, bacon, avocado.... It was cooked and presented to perfection. The bill for 2 entrees and 2 drinks came out to 27 bucks. Our waitress was quick and prompt, not too personable as it was busy and that is absolutely acceptable. If I am ever staying at a hotel in this area, I am making sure that I go here again.

Stefan Walsh

Epic food and atmosphere. Love the place great for groups etc.

Court Noyes

Rachel the bartender/server is the epitome of amazing hospitality service:) great brunch - the French Toast with Nutella is amazing.

Narod Haroutunian

This place is definitely overrated. I was excited when I read the reviews but left disappointed. First, it is extremely loud inside you can barely hear the person you're with. Second, menu doesn't have that many options which is kinda weird for a place that has the word "kitchen" in its name. I had the cheese steak spring rolls (4 pieces..) and my friend had the tuna tartar. They were just ok. Nothing special. Same goes for the cocktails. All in all, we ended up paying 120$ for mediocre food and we were actually even hungrier than before..

Timos Charlaftis

Nice food, nice place, nice music, nice staff. Turn down the heating PLEASE!!!

Michael Karkos

Great place. Good food and nice staff.

Silvio L

One of my new favorite spots. Love the drinks, ambiance, and the late night vibe.

Gokul Kalla

Great place to grab a drink or a bite to eat with friends after work. Beer and cocktail selection was plentiful as well as some seasonal offerings. Food was minimal in terms of what quantity that is being served to you but tasty nevertheless. Stools are a bit uncomfortable and for that reason I would recommend sitting on the couches around the table instead. Service was on point to end.

Brian Campbell

Friendly and cosy

Jonathan Lai

Best lamb nachos ever. Happy hour deal was decent. Gets crowded pretty fast

Amber Bonds

Fun bar bite options, fantastic grapefruit mojito!

Lucia Sejour

Great happy hour specials and DELICIOUS bites. Will be my new after work lounge.

Shaw Jerrie

Kobe Sliders Perfectly fine sliders with a red onion marmalade. Three come to an order, and they’ll do the job of soaking up some booze, especially since they’re a little dry.Bruschetta Flatbread The flatbreads are a safe choice on the Cask menu, but don’t expect to be blown away. The bruschetta flat bread can be ordered hot or cold, and hot is definitely the way to go...we think. Either way, it’s a pizza.

Mony Kiem

Food was delicious. Get the waffles and chicken for brunch. The chicken was tender and a nice crispy layer. It also included 2 eggs. The service was meh, lots of little mental mistakes from the staff.

Annie Weaver

Cask is a great after work spot for drinks and shareable plates. TBH I wish the "small plates" were a bit smaller and less expensive so it would be more tapas style. The two of us got 3 "small plates" and were really full afterwards--I guess it's like ordering full appetizers

Eric Van Kirk

Drink selection was great, bartender was rude and more focused on hitting on some patrons than serving most.

Laurie Donnelly

Most of the other bars and restaurants in the area cater to the loud and obnoxious. Cask and Kitchen is chill with intelligent service that anticipates guests’ needs and above par bar bites at a reasonable price (by NYC standards). A welcome respite from the noise and chaos of Murray Hill.

J Steed

cool spot... loved the cheese steak spring rolls.

rudy c

Great little spot. The decor and ambiance is rustic. The food very homely and tasty. I had the chicken, superb combination of cruch and flavour with the potato and the chicken skin. Healthy portion as well. My server Katherin was very sweet and attentive. I definitely reccomend

Sean Martin

Great bar / restaurant of a moderate size that has a cozy atmosphere. Great for a date night or a good time with a few friends.

theannomie

Solid spot. Lamb nachos are awesome ans they always have happy hour specials.

Kamila E. Sip

I went there for dinner on a Wednesday night. The place was getting packed around 7pm. It has a really nice ambiance and I would totally go there again for drinks. The food was a bit disappointing. My burger and everything on the plate was way too salty. The appetizer bread and garlic/onion olive oil was great, though. It is a very nice place for a casual dinner, drinks or a date. The music is set to a reasonable volume so you can chat without shouting at each other.

PJ Blank

Food very good. Staff friendly and attentive. We sat in the basement under a speaker playing recorded music, on a Friday beginning at 6 pm. The environment was too noisy for my taste, but this may not bother many other people.

Dave Sperling

Much calmer bar to have a pleasant chat with friends - places on third ave in area are too chaotic.

Tyler Wright

Rachel is amazing (super nice and friendly) and the food is great also! I would highly recommend.

Dee O'Bee

Service was very good. Food was pretty good too, loved the ambiance very chilled, music wasn't super loud so we could actually have a conversation. Good place for a date, I will return again..

Dee M

Very nice atmosphere, good service, the music was just a little took loud for me.

Amy Fontes

Chris is awesome!

Kanishk Singh

Great place to grab a drink. Never tried the food but looks delicious. It has a great ambiance.

Joann Ragusa

I came here with a girlfriend of mine a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it! We arrived at happy hour and the place was packed but we were able to get a drink at the bar fairly quickly. They have good happy hour deals ($5 jalepeno margaritas) which probably explains why the place was so packed. We grabbed a table and ordered the Blue Cheese and Bacon mussels, artichoke dip and grilled avocado. The food was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back to have those mussels again.

Warren S

Was not too bad. We were there as a family, looking for a nice quiet place for dinner. Looks like it’d be a good place for groups to hang out. Maybe happy hour? Food was pretty good. Waitstaff was good. Water guy was a little overprotective of our water glasses going below half full; he was just a little overzealous, but I guess better that than nobody at all. Front bar area looked fun. Mets game was on so we, being baseball fans, watched from a distance. May go again someday if it’s just the wife and me; no teens. TBD.

Debbie Miraglia

Lovey place for brunch. Good selection. Chairs a bit uncomfortable but I'm petite and often uncomfortable.

Lori Luo

A casual and bustling eatery in the otherwise desolate Murray Hill area, Cask offers up a solid variety of brunch dishes. Their Eggs Benedict is perfectly cooked and the omelettes, French Toast, and sandwiches are also tasty. By night, it transforms into a bar and dinner spot, perfect for a low-key meet up. Prices are reasonable and service is professional.

River Coupwood

Lovely atmosphere, perfect service, delicious cocktails.

Ahmed El Mogy

Awesome food and awesome drinks!

Katelynd Vanness

Decent draft list, friendly and helpful staff. Music audible but not overwhelming. Pretty crowded, but also visited in December, probably a pretty crowded time. Only had drinks at the bar but would certainly come again to try the food, which looked fresh and appetizing.

Ema Gloria

Amazing bar in a neighborhood that has not-so-amazing bars. Went on a Saturday night during peak evening hours, and was not packed at all. Atmosphere is sophisticated, classy, and vintage. Try to be seated in the elevated booth on the right hand side for a great view and some privacy. The main level resembles a restaurant seating layout, but the downstairs is more of a bustling bar with a similar atmosphere. Service was very personal and attentive. The blood orange jalapeno margarita (their most popular drink) was insanely amazing. Will definitely be a regular patron here for a long time.

Jaina Bowne

Definitely my go-to place in NYC for great food & drinks at an affordable price. The ambiance is great for almost anything whether it's a date or a group dinner.

Chip Kennedy

Great casual but slightly higher-end bar. Cozy, vibrant, and a good beer selection. Good place for dinner and great place for a date!

Jon

Reservation necessary for dinner. Good upscale bar food here. I had a burger and crab cakes. bar has a good rustic atmosphere. I plan to return soon.

Amel Whiteside

Great wee after work spot with a nice happy hour. The bar is very cute with nice lighting and atmosphere. Great spot for a date. Food was lovely too. The mac and cheese was nice and the lamb nachos had wonton rather than tortilla chips. Also split a paella. Not the best but still tasty (though paella is hard for me to rate cause there's no better place than Spain to gave it). Staff were very nice and attentive.

Jill Kevorkian

Good happy hour deals. Good atmosphere and vibe.

Tran Vo

Have been here several times with different friends. I order a mixture of same and new things each time and I haven't been disappointed yet! Happy to bring friends here and know that I can count on the food. Place is packed most of the time though so make reservations.

Eric Rocha

Great bar with a very well-done cozy interior design and a good beer selection.

Paul Stansel

Decent food, good alcohol selection

Casey Johnson

Hangover sandwich is so good, no hangover is necessary!

First K

Such a lovely evening with trivial pursuit game. Food was good, service very obliging, game was fun!

Jacqueline Lennon

Cool spot! Trendy vibe, pretty good apps and really good drinks. Shout-out to the smores dessert, was delicious. I'd stay away from the meatballs app as they were really dry and tasted more like a microwave dinner.

Brad Jones

Very pleasant bar for refreshing drinks

Uzuri H.

Food and drinks were great. I would definitely go again!

Carla Banana

Cask Bar & Kitchen. By far my favourite place in NYC. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of their dishes. It was a delight, we had a table of 6 and they were able to cater to our every need. The bar staff were beyond expectation! The cocktails were astounding! Excellent selection for beer and wine as well. Although the dishes are not large, they are definitely filling and delectable. We ordered 8 dishes and we full to the brim by the end of the night. Our favourite dishes had to be the Mac & Cheese, the spring rolls and the deep fried pickles. (I mean I am writing this two months later, and the taste is still dancing around on my taste buds) Great ambiance and not overly crowded. For a Tuesday night the place was buzzing with energy. Would highly suggest going here.

Mike B

The service here is really, really good. I don't live in Manhattan, but when I stop in the bartender always remembers me. I love having a gin and tonic here!

Sammi Payne

We came here for a late dinner. It was dark and loud, but not unbearable. We sat at the bar, which really picked up around 10. The rotating beers are fresh every month so come back regularly for a rare find. The decor is mostly wood and steel, meant to look like casks (and many of the decorations are made from casks.) It's very charming and stylish. I had the bacon cheeseburger, and I don't say this lightly, I think it is the best burger I have had in my life. Incredibly juicy and delicious. The fries are also out of this world. Fresh and crispy. Overall we had a great experience here.

Duane Hodges

Everything was great. Friendly staff, delicious drinks and good food whay more could you want

Erin Bailey

The $30 pitcher mimosas and fabulous for brunch. Try the blood orange and cucumber mimosas. They're different, but really tasty.

Maragret Dais

This has become my favorite neighborhood bar. Selection of bourbons is comprehensive and atmosphere is whimsical and welcoming, as are the impressive bartenders, well skilled in their craft.

Merissa Kochanski

Large portions for the price and delicious. Fantastic happy hour til 8 on weekdays

Michael Carlson

Great experience and cool vibes, had my first shepherds pie

Christopher T

Really cozy spot with a good brunch menu and drinks.

Ian Manley

Great food. Absolutely adore the chicken and waffles.I have been here twice and both times there was a bachelorette party taking up the middle table, so maybe that's a thing?

Katelyn Do

My pasta entry was too salty and nothing special. The tuna tarte was okay but left a less than desirable after taste. I enjoyed their happy cocktail though. Little expensive for the quality of food.

Wayne Delgado

Great lunch and great service.

Leah Kennedy

The food at Cask is terrific, better than most Murray Hill bars in the area. They also have great beers on tap, good cocktails and a great environment. Make a reservation for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night though. The downstairs area is a great space to reserve for a private party.

elless s

Great neighborhood find. Dark and noisy, not too, comfy. Really good food. Small menu but something for everyone and very good bartender. Don't go. Let's just keep it a secret.

Jim Aldridge

Good beer selection and cocktails. Consistently solid bar tenders (Ken is the best!). Low key atmosphere. Good food. Reasonable prices. June 2019: After four years I'm bumping up to five stars and my new go to neighborhood bar.

Adam Young

Great service and food. I expected more from the truffle mac and cheese, but it was still pretty good. Fish and chips was delicious. Definitely check this place out! Oh, and the Korean BBQ wings were delightful!

Khris Clevenger

Food was good and very reasonably priced for this area. Service was excellent. Especially the young lady at the front who worked hard to find me a table for 1 during a very busy evening

Evan King

Cool space. Really well done. Staff were excellent and the beer range is spot on. I was undecided as to what to have and the bartender walked me through it. Fun vibe.

Steven Lawrence

Easily in my top 5 places to eat in the United States. I would make a trip to NYC just to have an evening meal here, and I live in Texas. I'm sure I'll find suggestions for improvement after a few more trips, but thought it was perfect on my first visit.

Erik Monchen

Very nice atmosphere, great selection of drinks. We didn't gave dinner but the menu looked nice.

Andrew Singleton

Great burger and beer deal. Beautiful space

Cristina Conciatori

I went there for a party and they have a nice private room downstairs. It was a very nice setting for a gathering of around 40 people with a mixture of booths and bar seating. The food that was served was very good as well. Drink prices were a bit high, but that's the city for you. Be sure to take a look at your bar bill because a 20% tip seemed to automatically be included (even for a person of one).

Rauly Ramirez

Beautiful looking place, great drinks, but I was sorely disappointed by the food. The tuna toast I ordered off their brunch menu sounded amazing but was literally tasteless. My brunch partners weren't impressed by their dishes either so it seems like food just isn't their thing. Stick to drinking if you're coming here.

Shahida Choudary

Loved their champagne pitchers! Service and food were great too. Definitely worth a trip for brunch or even just for drinks.

Ian Soanes

The food was terrible and limited not enough choices, the drink selection was not good, the service was excellent and the mood of the place was fantastic I enjoyed myself with my lady!!!

Teedul Smee

Loved the food but odd seating might want to make it a party for two or three only.

David Cinnirella

Great place, awesome environment.... Tasty food!! A must see

Stephanie Carino

I cannot complain about anything at this place. A friend invited us here and I want to say we shared everything on the menu. It was all delicious. The specialty cocktails were great too. It's a great alternative to the sports bars that are in Murray Hill.

Heather Shimmin

Nice atmosphere. Weekdays are not too loud. Burger was delicious.

Al

The ambiance and decor is very nice. Rustic and vintage feel to it. Warm and cozy! Brunch was exceptional!

alice campbell

So I might be a bit biased since I literally live above Cask, but you'd be hard pressed to find many bars as good as this in NYC. I don't go often enough but every time I do it's good experience. The food is very good and not your typical bar food. Try the lamb nachos. Always a good beer selection and the staff and managers are really good people. More than anything, it is one of the few bars around that has decent space. I feel like even on a Friday/Saturday night, when it's always "crowded" you can still breath in there and probably find a seat either at the back tables or the cozy downstairs bar.

Ron

Fantastic bar with an incredibly cozy interior with wood and stone. Selection of drinks is very good. I had their take on Belgian Wheat beer and it was rather good.

King Joffrey

Great ales and cocktails. Nice atmosphere. Really friendly staff. Good prices for central Manhattan.

Lawrence Buchman

Good place, bet and food.

Rachel Ram

I had my birthday party there, and they were super accommodating and generous. Would go back.

Sarah Elliott

Love this place. Food is good. Drink selection is superb, they have pitchers of sangria here. The downstairs is a nice cozy spot to grab a drink. Sometimes ppl don't know about it, so it can be empty. This is a great date night spot, lot lighting, intimate seating. Highly recommend.

Alyx Flournoy

Went here for an evening drink and dinner last night. There was about a 30 minute wait, which isn't bad and the hostess was very courteous. However, it was downhill from there. We had two different servers, both were fairly rude. The food wasn't great and overall I didn't care for the menu. It was a random assortment of bar food and fancy dishes, didn't seem to go together well. I would maybe come back for drinks but not for dinner.

Luz Guillermo

Great food. Amazing service. Can't wait to come back here. their flatbread pizzas were so yummy.

Elle Song

I really enjoyed this place. Came here to get a drink with a friend who was running late. The bartenders and locals were very friendly and kept me company while I waited. Good beer selection and great environment. Clean bathrooms.

Jameson

Nice place to catch a nice cold beer. If your a picky eater not the place for you. But the charcuterie plate and wings were definitely a hit at our table.

Angus Watson

Looking for eating place local to Dumont Hotel. Short walk (in the snow), liked the "Cask" part of name. Warm, friendly, bubbly atmosphere. Great selection of beers. Server really knew his stuff. Just had fish and chips but great presentation and quality. Glad to recommend.

Bryan Culbertson

Good, but nothing special. Standard fancy bar food, average beer selection, slightly above average whiskey selection. If you're in the neighborhood check it out, but don't go out of your way.

Jacob Amos

Excellent brunch for groups. If you can swallow what is probably going to be a large tab, the food and drinks this place offers are pretty darn good and worth the price.

Katie Belle

in search of post midnight drinks and eats, the whiskey menu on the rocks or neat is definitely worth looking over. Late nite menu offers a tasty selection that's not too heavy. FANTASTIC servers and service

Willow Glitter Toast

Excellent shakshuka for brunch with some fun pitchers to share; bar is nice place to post up. Very pretty, great service, thankfully not super crowded.

Har Dewakalu

What an awesome brunch! A pitcher of mimosa for $25? Chicken and waffles? Yes please! Very cozy interior and good service make this a great spot for brunch or drinks.

Mattias Slattery

All the food here is fantastic and the bar/ restaurant is beautiful and cosy. Katherine was an incredible server, we will definitely be back.

Jan-Kristòf Louis-Mansano

Surprisingly affordable for a Midtown bar. My brother, my cousin and I decided to stay at the bar for the bar bites. Our bartended was from Louisiana and he struck up a conversation with us about the differences in the creole in Louisiana compared to that of Haiti. Right from the first pick, our favorites are easily the chicken wings, the cheese steak spring rolls, the truffle man 'n cheese, the lamb nachos and the coconut curried mussels. We complemented those with two pitchers of grapefruit mojito from which we were able to get three drinks each and the evening was set. This totaled to about $50 for each of us and we were quite satisfyingly full. I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you for a great time.

Trevor K

Lamb nachos are the best, make my way here every time we are in NY

Alex Bracey

Went on a Sunday for happy hour with friends. Great atmosphere in general. $40 large spicy margarita pitchers and 5 for $50 (5 outstanding appetizers for $50). Will definitely be back soon.

Melinda Figueroa

This is a cool chill spot with great ambiance. The drink happy hour menu is decent. It would have more enjoyable to add a few appetizers. I tried the truffle Mac n cheese. Sorry but not impressed. The burnt cheese on top didn’t do it for me. Steak spring rolls were tasty but not fantastic. But place has potential.

Karen Anderson

Great atmosohere, especially for Murray Hill - one bar upstairs and another downstairs. Huge beer selection. The low lighting, crowds, and noise you'd expect for the neighborhood.

carl lieberman

Fun for hanging out with friends

Marguerite Sullivan

Great atmosphere, food and service. It has a good neighborhood feel to it.

Rob Leas

Boring salad, but the burger was good. Waitress seemed uninformed about the special cask ales of the day - it's the name of the place.

Speed King

Great bar. The staff was cool friendly and it wasnt a too loud place when i went there with a group.

Rodney Jean-Baptiste

The lunch menu wasnt that great and the service was meh.

Charla Mendell

Our table ordered lychee martinis, strawberry margaritas, and 1921 honeys plus bruschetta, potato feta pizza and the hummus. All were pretty damn delish. The drinks weren't overly sweet and the food was nicely savory. Really really loved the pizza and the strawbs marg!

Amanda France

Great food and ambience!

Jennifer Lo

Great happy hour with cocktails for $7! I also ordered the mushroom flatbread pizza, and was pleasantly surprised! My party of five stayed for an hour or so for happy hour as it was much too loud to have a conversation without shouting. The restaurant was dimly lit and had a rustic ambiance. The happy hour crowd is packed in the bar area, so get there early if you want to grab drinks at the bar or snag a table!

Eamon Wood

Nice, rustic setting, great service, and excellent food. American fare with a little twist, never fails, you always know you're getting something good. Great late night menu, in a neighborhood where kitchens close earlier than the revellers. Recommend for lunch, dinner, and late a night.

Sally Power

Food ok but poor service.

Jack Nunziato

Came here with a friend and we were blown away by how cool and cozy this place is! They have a great beer selection and the food was exceptional. The staff was prompt and we had great service. Need to get back here ASAP!!!

JJ

Six point dabble IPA rocks along with Margarita Flatbread

Bryan Margaca

Very cozy. Great drinks. Bartenders are down to earth and easy going.

Ryan Murphy

The atmosphere is great for a date night or large get together. Happy hour selection is okay, $5 above average beers, $6 sangria, $8 cocktails. Didn't get to try the food but the menu looked great for casual bites.

Food Critique

Great place for Sunday brunch, good service, friendly staff and really delicious food. A good selection of cocktail and wine too.

Yan Sim

The food here is one of the best I've had in a while. Almost all their mains were fabulous - my favorite being the ribs. It can get a little noisy on weekends, but the restaurant in the back isn't half bad.

Leslie Molson

Very friendly bartender, great $1 oyster happy hour (with fresh Bluepoints), and a mellow, adult vibe.

Hilton Webb

Was headed to the 2nd Avenue Deli but wasn't in the mood for the regular. Cask didn't open until 11:30am and it was 10:30am. I was still waiting from my friend so I took a shot and waited. I was not disappointed. We had the brussel sprouts, steak spring rolls, pork sliders and avocado toast. I hate brussel sprouts but loved these along with everything else up to and including the pitcher of blood orange mimosas. The service was great and very friendly. Can't wait for the next time I'm in the area. Linda & I got very lucky.

Spencer Ross

You just have to go and see for yourself! Great time!

Patrick Healy

Poorly run bar. We were there for a birthday party and because the bar wasn't busy enough they tried to move us out of the pertinacity room into the main bar. Manager got kinda nasty with the party organizer. Not cool.

Christie Gangnath

Yummy small plates! Was able to walk in on Wednesday night with 6 people and get a table right away.

Brittany F

Tried the tuna tartar, mussels, and drank a Moscow mule. It was all delicious.

Mark Lythgoe

Great place to enjoy a drink without having to deal with the usual Murray Hill riffraff you find on 3rd ave bars. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly

Ty Diggs

It got extremely busy and crowded at the bar on Friday night, but after getting a table the food more than made up for it. My table had about 10 things off the menu and they were all great.

PPatK Kaz

Good food, nice staff.

John Mikhail

Packed small and dark. Almost always crowded. The ambiance is phenomenal, very well lit but still warm and intimate. The food was average but the service was very attentive. Pretty good drink selection.

Debbie Davis

Fun Place and Great food. It is really loud when busy. Make sure you have a reservation. They are on Open Table. Salmon was fantastic along with the Smore's dessert.

Michael Ryan

Really lovely atmosphere. Very tasty food and good value.

Caio Richmond

An amazing environment with great service. Awesome cocktails and a great beer selection.

Jeff Tsang

Good spot for drinks after work, decent place for lunch, albeit they need to salt their food.

Jordan Hutton

Nice atmosphere, portions could be a touch better for the price. However the food was cooked perfectly and the flavors were awesome. Absolutely will be back for more duck!

Justin Bromberg

Considering the neighborhood this is a very reasonable place in terms of price, setting, and atmosphere. Downstairs it's a little less loud while not feeling like a basement. The bartender was pleasant.

Michael Stolow

Great bar scence

Brian Peterson

Service was the best part. Our bottle of red wine was served at 80 degrees F... Which was warmer than the room temp. The food sounded good, but was horribly executed.

K Lewis

Great food easy to share. Good drinks

Maria J Martinez

Noisy. Good for a trendy 30sh crowd.

Greg Malivers

Good place, love the atmosphere. Drinks and food are good.

Enrique Cadena

Great food loved it!.

David Lawson

A relaxed venue with attentive and helpful staff. Food is excellent and a very good choice, a very good choice in beer as well as cocktails, wine and liqueurs.

Nina Dominic

The Korean style chicken wings are bae!

Blake Wall

Amazing lamb nachos. I didn't try it but I was told that the mac and cheese was also really good. But the best was easily the burger for me. Well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and the fries were crispy.
