This Restaurant belongs to the category of French restaurant.
The location and ambiance is great. Their service is very good as well. Most of the food is very good, only some of it was not memorable. We went there 2 times, the second time for breakfast and my husband and I ordered the egg Benedicts. The eggs (4 of them) were hard...which ruined the whole purpose of the dish. However, the French toasts, the crepes and for dinner the Mussels were amazing.
Had the pleasure of having lunch at Cafe Un Deux Trois yesterday with a bus group of 45 people. Service was amazing and quick as we were running late to get to the theater. I have dietary issues and the staff went out of their way to be sure I had the perfect meal. Great experience. Highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!!!!
Great spot for an after-show snack. The lobster bisque is wonderful. They make their own, and it tastes like lobster. So not the over-salted, warmed up, prepackaged stuff that gets served too often.
Great restaurant! Very reasonably priced for being right off of Times Square. Both the adults and the kids loved the food, which is a rare event! I had the chicken cordon Bleu, which had an amazing sauce that I basically mixed everything into because it was so good. Husband had the pasta, which was equally good, and the kids had no complaints about the chicken strips with fries.
Nice pre- or post-theater option. Great location in theater district. Charming ambience and reasonable prices. Lots of tasty options. Don't be afraid to bug the wait staff. They won't mind.
Our go to place in theatre district Food and service consistently great and prompt. Able to get in and out in an hour. Let them know when your show starts. Only 4 stars because food is not 5 star french cuisine but great value.
Great staff. Super nice owner. Super food. Great location. What more is there to say.
Very friendly staff.....reliable good food....nice portions....feel like home away from home....
Amazing restaurant with much frewer great reviews, bcz busy ppl like us or the elders won't have time or bother selves to post reviews or won't use social media! Such a great restaurant no need to bribe dishonest tour guides faking their Google reviews
We had a large group of 57 and pre-ordered our meals. We had a show to catch and despite this, it still took them almost two hours to get us in and out. Good food but the savory vegetarian crepes were crispy like a calzone. Drinks were not served in a timely fashion and the restaurant lost money as most adults would have purchased two drinks, including myself, as I did not get my glass of wine until after my dinner was served. Probably better as a small group.
This a very nice restaurant in the theatre district. The service is very good and the wait staff is helpful. The food is very good but some entrees are smaller than expected.
Honestly a bit of a tourist trap. Not the worst food in the world, but also absolutely not amazing. The service was excellent, though.
Great atmosphere and service. Perfect for before a show.
While I am not particularly a fan of French food myself, I have been able to find a dish that I have enjoyed on each of my 3 visits to Cafe Un Deux Trois. I have been both for brunch and dinner, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated at both times of day.
A lively place with good drinks selections and excellent food. Very reasonable prices, given the location especially. The food is typica French/cafe fare done well. The manager/owner is a very colorful man. Definitely would recommend this place for a solid, reasonably priced meal.
Coffee and dessert is what we got. It was ok. Not as we expected, the service was just plain awful. The guy was not interested on helping or caring for us. We ordered he left they brought out the desserts, we ate them and the coffee never came. We tried to get the server attention 4 times and nothing. Finally we got one of the busboys and he went and loom for the server. He acted surprised and still took 5 more minutes to get the stupid coffee. Terrible service, ok food. At your risk.
We had the opportunity to be part of the traditional Christmas Eve party, so much fun. Staff very helpful, made us feel at home. Delicious menu, both dinner and desserts. What a experience! Highly recommend.
very good food and super good customer services
Great brunch menu.
Our 4th time at Cafe Un, Deux, Trois, and 3rd time for breakfast. The reason being is that every time we stay in Midtown, around 5th and 6th Ave and mid-40s streets, the place is ideal, in our opinion, and we have tried so many different restaurants in the area looking for a good breakfast. And it is not only that at Cafe Un, Deux, Trois your check is going to be at least 50% cheaper than in any of the hotel located restaurants (meaning serving breakfast) but also because the breakfast menu at Cafe Un, Deux, Trois features so many more options than its competitors. The CRÊPES section alone lists over 5 differents crêpes (strangely enough, most of the French restaurants in Midtown don't have crêpes on their menus; the next door DB Bistro Moderne is only one example). Quiche Lorraine, toasted baguette with jam, Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur are other examples of the restaurant's many choices (i.e. not limited to the ubiquitous eggs Benedict, steel cut oatmeal and French toast). The service is good, the dining area is very spacious, the opening hours are very convenient (on Sundays, Cafe Un, Deux, Trois opens its doors at 8 AM), what else one needs for a satisfying morning grub? Definitely recommended. We will gladly and certainly visit the place again.
Terrific food and service, so make a reservation for Friday or Sunday night.
Food pretty good, can be noisy.
Love, love this restaurant in New York. Felt as if we were in Paris. Great food and service.
Expensive tourist trap. Cocktails are watered down and food is bland. Extra star for good service and decor. Still my least favorite french restaurant on five continents.
Made a mistake 2x Times on our bill in 2 serperate occasions. The toast was barely toasted it was cold. Not impressed
Potatoes were old and toast badly burned- also the service wasn’t great. avoid as there are many other options in the area to choose from
Had the burger classique and a drank a bourberry, both pretty good, way better than you'd expect from a French restaurant.
Amazing service and food and atmosphere.. Matre'd Jose is so welcoming.. Waiters Michael, Alejandro and the rest are amazing. Highly recommend before or after theater even for breakfast.. Never disappoint.. ❤️
Great spot for pre Theater Dinner right in the heart of the theater district. The menu is very dependable and the crepes are outstanding. There is also a prix fixe Lunch and Theater Dinner. The profiteroles are a family favorite. The staff is very cognizant that people are on their way to the theater and if you let them know the time of your show they’ll be sure to get you there on time
Perfect for the pre-theatre meal. Excelente prix fixe menu. Very good pate de champagne, excellent salad with chicken and good mousse au chocolat.
Food was ok. Nothing special. Service just ok
Excellent breakfast place. Would definitely come back
Great the server great thanks to Gabriel
Very tasty food and reasonable prices
Great service. The crepe de poulet was very good.
In and out in time for the show. Basic fare. Basic service. Desserts obligatory--nothing spectacular.
Cute place with good food
Awesome food and service. Our "go to" breakfast place while in Manhattan.
5+ Experience! Starting from a nice french warm smile at the entrance, continuing with reasonably priced and absolutely delicious food which is served with a speed of light and finishing with amazing deserts (profiteroles!!!!) paired with tasty french wine. All these come in a charming ambience of the french renaissance. I would like to point out an exceptional service by Henry and his team. Thank you Henry. From Russia with Love, Maxim
Not cheap, pate was bland, so were the sauces. Steak and lamb cooked very will, person sauce waaay to spicy, sauces, again, bland.
Great service, very affordable for the area
Wonderful quiche and salad.
A blast from the past....I had not visited this restaurant in 15 years. It used to be a place I visited for lunch at least 4 times per month for years in the 90's an early 2000's. The place looks the same as it did back then. The service and the atmosphere were just as good as I remembered. The food on the other hand was not. It was not a bad meal, but it was not as good as I remembered. I asked for chicken and it was overcooked/dry. My husband asked for lamb shanks and they served one and very small. My favorite dessert, the apple tart, really disappointed me. It was nothing like the buttery flaky round pantry with caramelized baked apple halves on top. The one I was served resembled an apple pie more than a tart and the buttery flavor from the pastry bottom was totalling lacking. If you never had the old one, you would think this one is good, but to me it was disappointing.
Great ambiance and decor here. The waiters speaking a little French is a nice touch and adds to the experience. Food was delicious; the set dinner meal was very reasonably priced with good portion size. I ordered a delicious goat cheese spinach mushroom crepe, a good portion bursting with creamy spinach and mushrooms. Creamy not overly sweet cheesecake with a nice accent of fruity coulis. The grilled salmon was moist. Surprised that the waiter ASKED me how I wanted it prepared. The chicken cordon bleu was moist and seasoned well.
Delicious crepes, wonderful atmosphere, wait staff was a bit slow, but I went on a Sunday at 11, so there may have been a reason. Really wonderful!
Fantastic service. Even with a drunk idiot at the bar. Sorry he is my idiot.
Really good food and superbly attentive service. Beautiful flowers on a beautiful spring day, what could be better.
Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Solid meal. Maybe a little pricy, but felt elegant and upscale. The coffee was divine!
Excellently prepared quaint dishes a nice relaxed but active ambience Sarah our server was world class highly recommend this restaurant a real gem in the theater district
Nice place for a light meal of savoury crepes before a show. Crepes missed authentic cheese, but tasty anyway. Very convenient to Broadway.
Breakfast close to Times Square, no reservation needed on a Sunday morning. Nice atmosphere and the homestyle fries were delicious. Great coffee as well.
Food is always consistent. Menu is extensive and service is always fast. Just a nice comfortable place for brunch or lunch. staff is friendly and well mannered.
From kurdistan with Love, Emran
Had appetizers and wine here, everything was excellent and the service was very good.
Food was delicious, service exemplary, Surroundings lovely. Only thing needing improvement was the noise level. It's hard to talk. Needs improved acoustics.
Excellent food. Good location near Times Square.
Excellent food and service! Would definitely recommend.
The food is consistently fresh and delightful, cashiers hands out fantastic customer service. I like how clean it is and vibes. Will visit here again.
The food was ok but the problem we had was horrible service. We went and had some breakfast and when we go the bill from the waiter he had added in a tip fee automatically. When we asked about it he lied and said it was a rule in all New York restaurants. When we looked over at a table of women and asked them to see if it was true and they said no that is not true and has never been on their bill. We wanted to make sure since we are visiting New York. when we confronted the waiter he said he would get the manager which never happened. We were going to tip a good amount as always anyway but the man had no right to add it on our bill without permission. Then to lie and argue with us was ridiculous. I think it is a scam he pulls on tourist to choose the highest tip amount for himself despite lack of service.
Fast, kind service, tasty meals for all 4 of us. Would go again!
Very interesting place, the staff is very friendly, I got a take out and they did't have plastic silverware to give out, so they offered to give me actual metal silverware. And the food was good!!
Consistent food, excellent for Breakfast, quiet with good choices. Lunch also good and reasonable
Nice portions, classic restaurant in NYC. Worth a visit. Perfect for lunch!
Cafe Un Deux Trois is a not so hidden gem close to Time Square, where we went post - performance. I had the French Onion Soup (one of the best I've ever had), and Duck, which was pedestrian, although not objectionable. My guest had the Steak Tar Tar with Pomme Frites, which is apparently a favorite amongst celebrity actors. It was a very large helping, but required seasoning with salt, pepper, and mustard (don't wince, purists). Prices were $$ out of $$$$$. The atmosphere on a Tuesday night, approaching midnight was light, but the large chandeliers of a former hotel lobby, and original Italian Tile Floor (not restored), and faux marble columns were lovely. The service by Michael was perfect - attentive, personable, service oriented - by Michael who obviously views serving as his life - calling, and not just a gig. I would recommend Cafe Un Deux Trois.
Inside is nice, good staff, good desserts.
Nice ambience and lovely staff . Good breakfast.
The food is delicious and nicely presented. Complemented by good service and wine selection. Not that expensive for a french restaurant, therefore this one is highly recommended. I saw many children eating burgers with frites.
Food and service terrible. Go across street to saju bistro
Loud and French with great food
The food was good but the only dessert crepe they had was nutella. Witch was kinda disappointing.
Great food, great staff, great service. What's more to know?
Perfect! Music, food, and people who work there so kind for you) and very friendly) also nice atmosphere! Just best)
They excel at service. It was very good, however it did taper off at the end. The food is pretty good, although the different dishes varied in quality. Prices weren't bad for Times Square. Wine selections were limited and disappointing.
The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Great ambience. Very good food. The desert and appetizers in particular were scrumptious! I'm looking forward to going back again.
I have been going here, irregularity, for years It is consistently really good. The menu has something for everyone and the food is well prepared and excellent. The ambience is French Bistro which means attentive, obliging but never overbearing. In short, I live this place and can't recommend it highly enough whenever you're in Midtown Manhattan!
I try not to visit this old and tired theater hangout but sometimes you have no other chiice that fits the needs of your party of 7! Food is barely passable and the service folks are gruff and unfriendly.
Authentic French cafe executed flawlessly. I had the pre fixe menu with vinaigrette salade and chicken cordon Bleu; my wife had steak au poivre. We had chocolate mousse and flourless chocolate cake with decaf coffee for dessert. All fantastic and served within an hour. Great choice in midtown. We will return!
Wish we werent rushed to get to Broadway show so as to really enjoy the ambience of restaurant. Dessert was outstanding. Meal was very tasty but couldnt relax long enough to really appreciate it. But would go back.
Wide variety of food, good prices an excellent staff.
An oldie but goodie. Just as I remembered it , only better. Very good food at very good prices. Ultra professional staff. Service was efficient and friendly. Food exceeded my expectations. Very accommodating and helpful in every way.
The food was excellent and portion size was adequate. The servers were very polite and the decor was interesting and pleasing to the eye.
Like many places on Times Square, the only characteristic of a nice restaurant this place has is the price
Very good staff, good French food ( I'm french ) ! Atmosphere and boss are very friendly !!!
Previously had eaten here for brunch and was delighted with the experience. Having arrived during the busy holiday season for dinner, the experience was less than exciting and actually a bit disappointing. Appetizers did not come out in a timely manner, we were rushed through our dinner so the next meeting will take place, and the servers we're so overwhelmed that there were too many visits to our table with not enough action.
Convenient spot in the theater district with easy vibe, good food and perfect ambience for pre and post theater bites / eats / drinks / dinner
Generous portions. Fair prices and lovely atmosphere. Close to theaters.
Wonderful as always!
Make reservations for dinner. Food is great.
Google map reviews let me down. $20 for a pretty unloved breakfast. Overcooked bacon, bad potatoes but the pancakes saved the plate. Giving up on times square for good breakfast options
Great service! But food was terrible terrible terrible. Not sure if that’s the normal food scene in nyc. But the French toast was the worst I’ve ever had.
Great coffee!! Basic breakfast, lovely atmosphere.
Food mediocre. Good ambience and service.
This is a great little gem in the theater district. Very good French food, rapid courteous service. Two of our party are disabled and staff very solicitous and helpful. Only negative, bathroom downstairs.
Meh. Have wanted to eat here forever. Came on a Sunday during theatre rush. Service was slow. Food was okay. Disappointed that the experience did not meet expectations. Not even our neighbors’ meals looked exciting.
One of my go-to pre-theatre restaurants. A fine cafe for city dwellers, with casual French fare and wine. A civilized place where you check your coat at the front door, but not at all stuffy.
The Steak au poivre was fantastic
The food is excellent. Great after matinee meal
I had the croque madam and it was delicious!
Good simple food . Friendly
The food was ok and the service was good. It was a nice atmosphere.
great food, good Service
Food is great. Nice frites. Authentic Parisienne feel.
Another restaurant that I’ve been a devotee of since the late 80’s. Great atmosphere, but can get a bit loud at times. Amazing food. Never had a bad meal here, ever. Steak frites is my usual “go to”, and it’s always perfectly cooked. A great bar and wine list as well. Perfect for date nights, or even small gatherings.
Really great place to grab a bite. Business lunch or dinner. Great and friendly service. The owners are always on hand to greet and welcome you.
A wonder surprise!
Great food and ambiance
The asparagus soup was excellent The roasted chicken was mediocre I would give it another try The wine was also very good Great place to go solo and with a friend
Excellent food and service. Place is bustling and a little loud but great food is great food. I binged on snails and mussels with frites. Will definitely return. You definitely want to make a reservation rather than wait around.
The food, the atmosphere, the staff...all brilliant!! We were greeted in French, of course. The wait wasn't bad for our reservation and heavy theater crowd. Every dish was spot on...and even better, the friendly staff. After dinner, my party stepped outside and had the most fantastic celeb sighting - the Reverend, Jessie Jackson, Sr.!
Wow, definitely recommend Cafe Un Deux Trois to everyone, delicious food and service. Also would totally recommend the cocktails, as well as the mussels. Great bartender Sifin ! Go give them a visit before or after a show on Broadway!
Excellent pre-theater choice. Good food and service, reasonable prices, and they get you out in plenty of time.
Nice. No fuss and good food. Had the grilled chicken caesar salad. Dessert looked good (didn't have any). We had a big party and two people took our orders so food came out at different times, was bit odd, but not a big deal.
Food tastes good. Lamb burger was good. Sauteed string beans too.
Great food and atmosphere
Family goes here every year before christmas. Best fish of the day special ive ever had. Shrimp, cod and halibut were cooked amazingly well.
Popular pre-show spot. Decent standard food and drinks but prices are justified more for the cool bistro atmosphere and good service.
Was hoping for some dessert crepes
My favorite go to, reliable, consistent, reasonably priced French restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, both at the bar and in the restaurant. Very efficient and polite staff. Great for a pre or post show meal.
Great food and family dining.
The owner was there and is very friendly. We'll definitely go back! Lovely French cuisine.
Took about 10 minutes to get a server to come by after we were sat. Food was decent but have had a lot better. Wouldn't go back again based on the selections in the area.
Fast and great service, can't beat the location
Great place for a drink, and good food for pre/post show
Theater district staple. Have been there over and over Never disappointing.
We ate here twice, once for dinner and then breakfast. Service was outstanding, the food delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
Food is always great. We used to go there a lot and haven't been back in a long time. It used to be fabulous and packed with people. This last trip today, the service was really terrible. What should have been a special brunch was unenjoyable because the service was so bad. The restaurant was more than 1/2 empty. I hope this is a wakeup call to the owners. The food was still delicious.
The highlight of my whole weekend! Such wonderful food and staff and building and location! The prices are very reasonable for the great quality food and drink also. We stayed there for an hour after our meal at the bar just to keep experiencing it!
Very good Chicken Cordon Bleu. Good, quick service. Everyone is always welcoming.
Nice food and it was quiet here at 8.30 on Saturday.
One of the most prominent and popular restaurants in NYC. Food & service are absolutely superb. Expensive, but the experience is worth it. Being in the Broadway district is a plus.
One of our favorite places for lunch before a matinee.
Full & tasty breakfast. Very good mood and service
A consistently great French dining experience right in the heart of the theater district. If you enjoy traditional French cuisine you will enjoy Cafe In Deux Trois. A price fixe menu is available or you can order a la carte. The wait staff is thoughtful and will accommodate you if you need to make a theater curtain time. One of our favorites. Recommended!
Great service and food. Lamb Burger with cumin and coriander and braised endive. Substitute saald for french fries is easy. A bit loud but nice ambience in theater district
How far they have fallen. Stale roles for the sandwiches, pre made salmon burgers, frozen fries and overdressed salads. Stale boxed lady fingers and pre made desserts. Ans now, over priced. Never again. Don't waste your time or money.
Delicious food and perfect for dinner before a show!
This cafe has great charm and the food was really good. They managed to seat is at dinner time with no reservation, too.
Food is ok. No surprise. Service is great
