REVIEWS OF Blue Note IN New York

Marilyn Upchurch

I loved the atmosphere, the music and the food. The service was ok, but the hostess Nylima was fantastic!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

RFSJ

The music is top notch. The food and drinks are overpriced and of small size, and they pack you in 6 to a table.

Lydia Santana

Iconic place to visit. Talented performers, sometimes it was difficult to understand when the performers were speaking. Appetizer plates were small, but overall we had a nice time.

George Estevez

Went to see Arturo Sandoval he was fantastic first time I reserved a table I usually stand at the bar. But a bit pricey at $55.00 per person just to sit. Sound is still excellent in the Blue Note . But overall it is worth it when you come out with a big smile on your face from the preformance.

Michelle Balietti

Such a legendary place. Saw Ron Carter on my visit to New York, was a great night. A little bit overpriced but worth it

Tuxedo Man

Great time here. It is expensive and that is to be expected. I spent about $450 total for five people including tickets drinks and a bunch of food to share with the table. Tables are a bit tight but the room is pretty open and much of the seating has very good visibility for the show. Additionally with a group of five we had three seats left which did not have another group placed with us which made it rather spacious where we were at least. Staff was very good but it's easy to get lost in the music so I would recommend ordering everything you want when you are first seated rather than waiting. I'll probably visit again next time I see a group that piques my interests.

STEVEN WRIGHT

Enjoyed the show. The food was better than I expected.

shawn johnson

Amazing as usual.....just wow....the seating is tight

David DeJesus

It's the Blue Note, one of the most important jazz clubs in the world. It's expensive, the food sucks, and the service isn't great but you're not there for the food. You're there to see some of the greats up close and personal and you can definitely meet them at this venue. A must do for any serious jazz fan.

Gary Keene

Where else in the world would you want to be on international jazz day?

Michael Fuller

Neat little jazz bar in the village. They get great talent. The venue itself is a great atmosphere and the crowd is usually great with listening and not talking loudly. The drinks are definitely pricey so be ready to spend a few dollars on that. Otherwise it's a great spot, the cover is never too high, and you'll have a great time.

Bob Frank

We arrived at 8.30 pm into the first set and were very impressed with the sound and the musicians.

Daniel Pastorius

Great show, small and intimate feel to the theater.

Richard Eshelman

The Place for top talent that rehearses the upcoming world tour shows they will put on. Chris Botti was the reason for my being there. What a grand show.

Lara Fabian

To be honest i am suprised how good is this Jazz bar! The venue itself is really good, the live entertainment is top notch for the Jazz lovers! But however it's really pricey, the food is extremly overpriced and ofcourse there is drink minium, so also the cocktails are quite expensive!

Robert Corbett

Classic Jazz club. Chris Botti was memorable. The food, not bad. Seating is tighter than should be allowed by law.

William J. Wilson

I loved the experience. From the music [Decade For Soul], the food, and the customer service was Awesome!!!

Trinka Myers

Great music and service. Not the best food. I had a salad and soup. My friends liked the burger.

Kevin Lawless

We had the pleasure of watching our son play the Blue Note with the PurchasevJazz Orchestra. I true thrill to see.

Wanda Fish

Had a great time!! Music, food & beverages were all wonderful! Expensive, yes...but it is NYC! My only advise is don't sit near the back on the left side, looking at the stage as the waitresses kept walking in front of us with food & drink trays.

Paul Dolinski

I can recommend the red snapper

Jaume Guerra Meneu

Great music! It’s a shame that people in the bar doesn’t stop talking (even shouting!) and the manager doesn’t care at all.

Lauren Mccoy

Venue is a little tight, but it's great for an intimate show with your favorite artist. You really feel up close and personal!

Shelley Kronick

Great place for Sunday Brunch Blues shows. Food was a 3 to 4 of 5, atmosphere historic and upbeat. Excellent service, outgoing.

Glenn Lang

Iconic jazz spot in NYC....pat metheny

Cooke Harvey

great venue, great music. Don't know how they get the food out the way they do but everybody orders at once once you're seated. The food was better-than-expected not a destination spot but really good for a jazz club. Stellar entertainment.

Ray Cardosi

There is not a bad seat to view the band. Atmosphere is great.

Stella Geller

I went to blue note to listen to jazz. The show was beautiful and very light. The musicians and the singers did a beautiful job and performed in harmony. I would come back again.

George Olesh

Take Six was outstanding. An absolute JOY. Dinner was delicious and bountiful.

Justin Vieira

Came here for a jazz brunch. The service was good and overall attentive and with a smile. There's no bad seat in the house, and no matter the performance the accoustics here are marvelous. Unfortunately the food here is below average, I've had better food at mediocore diners here in the city. Beyond that, great venue

Tatiane Cantarelli

The food is overpriced. To have a good view I had to watch the stage through the mirror behind me. At least the music was fantastic.

gayle randolph

Cozy place for live jazz in the heart of the village. Great talent and excellent service. I would recommend spending a little extra on the table seating for a better view. Try the Sausage Alfredo, you will not be disappointed! Enjoy!!!

Michael Cotton

This Club has a very upscale vibe to it. Excellent atmosphere, especially if what your looking for is great live music, and good tasting food which is a perfect combination. The staff, absolutely professional, the Kitchen is fast. They have an excellent selection of beer, wine, and alcohol. Make sure you get there early, because the best tables are just and arms length away from the stage. The sound is phenomenal, they play the best live JAZZ, BLUES, and Singer/ Songwriter format.

Joe Fix it

Great place to watch great jazz music and food is great! Drinks are good and tried the maple old fashioned on the rocks!

Jason Martin

Numerous surprise guests and a great burger! Awesome venue for live music. Def a must for musicians visiting.

Bill Flagg

The world famous jazz club in the West Village! It's expensive but worth it, as the club is very intimate. Its always open and many jazz greats and some up and coming stars, like Matthew Whitaker who we saw tonight hit the stage. They have cheaper bar seats by the front door on a first come first served basis. Great sound system and good service. Food is also pricey but decent. Make use to go upstairs and use the bathroom before the show starts, because you will be in tight quarters!

Rich Zumpano

I went to see a Victor Wooten show at the Blue Note on 7/23/19. Admission was $45 for a table seat and $30 to sit or stand by the bar. Seating is very tight. They cram 6 people at each little table and you barely have room to move your arms. The drinks are small and expensive. Alcohol at shows is usually a ripoff but $15 for a tiny juice glass of vodka and club soda is ridiculous. The food is equally expensive. The show was good but a little too short. Possibly because it was the early show and they needed to clear everyone out before the late show. The sound was good and clear and I had a great view from my table right in front of the stage.

John Wadleigh

Worth it! Ok first of all, the jazz here is outstanding! The experience is nice, with tables and service with good food (not great food) and nice drinks. The space is tight but that just makes for a cozy atmosphere. However, for me personally I wouldn’t go back because it just was too fancy for me and would prefer something like Village Vanguard. However, that’s not say its worth a visit for sure!

Paul Oringer

Very good for live performances by noted jazz artists; I was lucky enough to witness Take 6 deliver a masterful set. The venue's size lends itself to an intimate feel with tables arranged right up to the stage (though the chairs are so closely placed together it can feel a bit too intimate!). The food is tasty, the cocktails well made and the staff friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommended if you love jazz.

vincent malezet

Nice band with Maceo Parker leading. Food is ok. A little bit squeezed with 8 people on small tables though

Richard Rozen

If could give this place 0 stars i would, Where do i start? My friend had made reservations for a table for the 3 of us, however when we arrived our 3rd was running late, we decided to wait in line (for an hour) while waiting for our 3rd. once we got inside we were seated at an empty table for six, but we noticed other tables had people sitting shoulder to shoulder. Eventually two more people were put at our table. as we were about to order the wine, the hostess than brought another 2 people to our table, we asked what about our 3rd (who at this point was waiting outside to get inside but was being told not to be allowed inside) and she replied "its too late, we need bodies in every seat". We had paid for our seats, and our table @ 35 $ a person after reservations. We ordered a bottle of wine (not a cheap one) and we were essentially forced to leave 5 minutes into the show because they would not let our 3rd person into the venue (who by the way was my wife running late) when we asked the door man about this situation on the way out, in order to see if we can rectify the situation, he told us when we left we forfeited our seats. So if i went to the bathroom, I would have Forfeited my seat? The experience was ridiculous, crowded, the Hospitality was non existent tonight. As some one who use to visit this venue once-twice a month. I will never come back again. You can do things right 100 times but all it takes is treating your customer like garbage once to make them never come back.

Emareyo Kennedy

Lively place when i visited. I had awesome time

GALE HAMILTON

Loved the entertainment and atmosphere, but the drinks seemed watered down, and the prices were very high.

Adrian Bona

Excellent ambient, excellent show. You could watch it clearly from any place. Drinks are stupidly expensive and waiters a little bit anxious.

Roxana Guerra

Jazz club with food and cocktail menu. Bar seating is limited so get there at least 1.5hr before the show or pay a little extra for a table. The set up is an odd angle view from the bar to the stage but otherwise a nice space.

samuel connor

always a great choice for beautiful jazz music

Ronice Henneman

Great intimate atmosphere...dope music and surprise guests. Only in NYC!!

Paul Lauricella

Intimate setting. You're in the music.

Mark Janos

You can never go wrong at an institution like this. A must see in NYC

Lisa Mckenzie

Absolute highlight of our trip. Not a bad table there, but get there approx an hour earlier than your booked time to get the closest tables to the stage. I had the steak which was very nice, a definite step up from the usual chicken in a basket type of food you usually find from jazz clubs.

Darline Guelce

It was AMAZING!!!. We ordered the fried calamari as appetizer it was good. The music was great. Ourr waitress was very nice. I will definitely go back.

Pavel Antonov

It is the must see legendary jazz club

Piero Maltese

Horrible experience, bad atmosphere, slow service, crowded seats, and the music was awful (Chris Dave and the Drumhedz). We left after 30 minutes and we didn't receive any price cut because of the manager, that was rude.

Gabriele Failla

The temple of Jazz music. A must for jazz lovers. One can enjoy fine food (meat especially) close to the playing artists. Great overall experience.

Harris Moreida

Amazing venue for live music and good eats before the show. Excellent staff, fast kitchen and an excellent selection of beer, wine and alcohol. Sound is phenomenal and the tables are literally set inches from the stage. Get there early for best seats. Perfect for live Jazz, Blues, and even singer songwriter formats of music. A classic!

Gilberto Cymbaum

Overall amazing experience. Outstanding performance. Recommend booking in advance. The line was huge and a lot of people did not get in. There are very few bar spots available and the view is not great. Table definitely worth it

Ceeks Da Main

Not enough space. Unfriendly waitresses.

Mauricio Blanco

very nice spot, the only thing is the tables are to tight

aidni Garcia

Amazing place to meet people, music are good the cover is arround 35, food and drinks are a little bit expensive but if you like jazz you should be there.

Alexa Starr Kelly

Our most favorite jazz club, never disappoints, from the talent to food to service. Thank you for housing legends!

Monesha davis

Food is disgusting and overpriced! Music is always awesome.

Loretta Richardson

Hey what can I say it’s The Blue Note! Saw Chris Botti perform. Fabulous!

Jeffrey Macklis

Always a first rate jazz club, with generally exceptional talent. Can be a bit crowded, but most people don't seem to mind.

Chari

I have been to Blue Note about 5 or 6 times now. I absolutely love the Blue Note! If you want a good table, make sure you make reservations! EVEN if you make reservations, they do not set a specific table for you, so you must arrive early in order to get a good seat. They also have standing room by the bar, but it is not the greatest view. The food, sound and view here are great! It can get a bit price, but it is well worth it!

Nicola Palazzo

Place is small and food quality is really average and somehow expensive. But with good music the atmosphere is every time different. Worth a visit

Ronald Wilson

Great night of jazz with a little soul and Hip hop. Tonite line up was drummer producer Kariem Riggins and singer Monica Blair from Detroit. They were backed by a great band. The vibes were good and the drinks strong.

Chuck Salvo

Always delivers. Great acoustics, great acts, everyone should have it on their list when visiting NYC.

Michael Lyga

you're gonna need a lot of cash but it's good stuff

Shannon Gillespie

Went to see a show. Had a wonderful time with family.

Shimamura Satoshi

I only went to gift shop which was located on the 2nd floor. Gift shop staff was very polite and kind.

I. Ian Richards

If your into great music come here.often big name artists make surprise appearances

Sig Wolff

Cozy, friendly jazz club where you can listen to a world class musicians, saw Kenny G other day. Experience the club, if you haven't already done so. Enjoy.

Ron M

The blue note is a NYC classic jazz venue, featuring major acts. Located near Washington Square park, this place is usually hopping. As expected parking is challenging. I find it a bit expensive charging top prices for bottled beer This place is not run as well as other clubs. Shows do not start on time. A bit unprofessional at times. The acts make it worthwhile.

ken sander

Nice club

Brandon Sullivan

Amazing Live music, great drinks, service and atmosphere

Marcio Profili

Excellent place food and service. Its menu has many options of food and good wines. it's a must to live the jazz experience in NYC in blue notes

Ivette Rivera

wonderful music all the time

Nick Romano

This is my 4th visit in a year after my son, a drummer, introduced me to the club. Attended the David Sanborn show. Great jazz as you'd expect, especially at an affordable $55 a head. At 73, the guy still getting it done. The food has always been good for a club like this. Only negative is drinks are expensive and a little water downed. Wait staff attentive.

Janine Serioux

Saw Phony Ppl at Blue Note as part of their residency. They sounded great and the crowd was into it. I sat at the table which felt a bit cramped. Service was quick and attentive though.

Xingnan Zhou

Great place. It's better to reserve seat in advance. Also there is a long wait time (approx 1h) before show start, so it's not a bad idea also have dinner at the table. There is minimum charge (not included in the ticket)

shirley wright

Enjoyed the show and food.

George Povey

Employees seem to be fed up for no reason, didn't feel welcome at all. Not a very nice atmosphere compared to other clubs in New York. I don't think it was worth the €45 to sit at a table and the €5 drink minimum. Bit of a rip off really. Very packed seating and uncomfortable chairs. That being said I did enjoy the gig but probably won't be returning.

Jennifer Kari

I liked this club, people there are really friendly!

Mattias Thomas

Great service, great music! I came for brunch, and the service, while rushed, was very friendly and efficient. I had the Angus Burger which I would highly recommend, and the drinks were all great! The show was amazing, and the musicians we all incredibly talented. If you like jazz at all, please do yourself a favor and go to a show here!

Jeanie McDonald

Great music. Great food. Great service. Very cramped.

Noel Gorelick

The show was great (Dizzy G. Band) and the food was good but expensive (4), but the venue in general is quite disappointing: Crowded to the point of being unable to move, seats didn't face the stage, and the acoustics were terrible and painfully loud. The giant speakers for the people 8 feet from the stage were completely unnecessary and made the whole experience unpleasant. My family had their fingers in their ears for the whole show.

Paul Attwater

Just wanted to stop in the Blue Note. 10 Minutes left in the show & they wanted to charge full $55 cover or wait 45 minutes to the next show. My wife really wanted to just “check it out” - made a special trip. Very rude at the front door.

Peter Jenkins

This place lived up to the hype! I saw Lisa Fischer here, and she was amazing. Definitely arrive early though. We had to settle for a table side-of-stage, cos there was nothing else left!

Peter Babnik

Good atmosphere, easy to reach if you use station at 3rd Street 8 Avenue, Merchandising a little bit pricy, Victoria Boyd was good and she played live!, thank you.

Rebecca Scott

Loved the Billy Corbin concert

Ivson Souza

Positive: - Sound quality: the sound setup is excellent, we were sitting in the back, in the upper area, and the sound was crystal clear, not deafening loud. - Band: the show was very good. Cory Henry's voice is something rather powerful (most of the songs were instrumental, though). Negative: - Pre-made bottled cocktails. We ordered two cocktails and food when we arrived. When the waiter brought the cocktails, they came in bottles separate from the glass. A place like this should invest in bartenders. You wanna have a real old fashioned when you are listening to some good old blues. That made us cancel the food order. Lesson: Don't order cocktails. Get a beer instead. - Overly packed. We booked a table for two and were put in a table that should be a table for 4 but had 6 chairs with a group of three other people. Then, before the show, a last one arrived, completing the canned sardines experience.

Kevin Willemse

Amazing music, great food. The Blue Note is legendary for a reason. For purists and those who appreciate all it promises. Show was excellent.

Renee Kim

Sunday brunch Jazz with Gustavo Casenave Trio. Top performance as expected. A must place to go if you like to listen to NY jazz.

Egor Jay

The musicians were amazing. I'm not a huge fan of jazz, but the guys performed way above my expectations. I actually enjoyed despite the fact that I didn't like the particular composer.

Ashley Hernandez

I love watching live music here and the food is delicious ...

Mohd Fairul Reza Mohd Noor

Music was excellent tonight. A lot of happy customers. Will give them 5 stars if it is not too packed for emergencies exit, if required.

Timothy Crawford

If you are interested in top notch music and desserts the Blue Note is the place. We didn't have dinner but I'm sure their dinner menu is outstanding. Arturo Sandoval put on an excellent show. He and his band wowed the crowd. Can't wait to go back.

Anton B.

We didn't buy tickets ahead but were able to get in and get a good table. The club has a great vibe and we loved the band. The alcohol and food is not super cheap but not super expensive as well. The table sitting is 35 per person and there is 5 dollar minimum, in my opinion the live music and the great performers worth it.

Tabata Pearce

Great vibe, great service and awesome musicians! Special house drinks pretty nice too! I vouch for the French martiny!

Marie Losco

It was fabulous! So good! Outstanding live music! Outstanding atmosphere! Can't wait to go back.

Ketan Karia

Super place to enjoy great jazz artists with an intimate setting

Samuel Narman

Exceptional blues. I saw some of the greats here over the years and could not be happier with my experience. Always leave uplifted.

burak kartal

This is my 4th time. Always good. The other three performances were better though....

Robert Redcross

A true jazz joint w/o the smoke.

Robin Shuff

Love good jazz? Then this a must. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the speed and friendliness of the service. A great evening.

Arbana Grembi

Absolutely loved the experience. The music and drinks were great. The waitress was lovely to me despite me spilling a drink on the table and in front of this couple who was sitting with us.

Maryan Khomych

Well known jazz club in NYC, has many drink and snacks options. Hosting talented musicians from all over the world. Wouldn’t mind if they update the interior a bit, with more comfortable chairs, but overall- great experience

Pavel Reyes Valdes

This place is awesome. Great music

Lin Yen-Chen

A fest of my ears, highly recommend!

marcia hurlow

This is one of the most iconic jazz clubs in New York City. We heard Bill Frisell and a group of amazing sidemen. They serve dinner. it's a bit pricey, but coming at 6 for dinner insures that you will get a good seat for the show.

Danny Sala-Diakanda

Music is awesome and the food is also nice Reservations are a must! If you call and the line is busy, keep trying, it is worth it. We have been there a couple of times without a reservation and were lucky to sit with another couple that had two extra chairs at their table - people are quite nice out there but it does get very crowded. The band is fantastic, plan to have some cash to tip them, they deserve it. Overall, great place to go.

Rene Reid

I saw Chris Botti here and it was a wonderful night. Blue Note is one of my favorite Jazz Club in NYC. It’s cozy and very inviting.

Bri Simmons

I absolutely love the Blue Note! Went to a Motown Review Brunch and had a fantastic time. I can't wait to go back again. The food was good and the cocktails were even better. The atmosphere embodies the history of the Blue Note. The crowd was very mature.

AfrahSings

The best musicians passing through on any given night! A must for any lover of soul, jazz or R&B.

AURIA MOORE

I would post a picture of my food.... but it never came. The lemon water was good. Also, they have seating where you can't even see the stage. What for???

Evangelia Bitzidou

We went to a Dizzy Gillepsie tribute and it was amazing. Beautiful place for a perfect jazz night.

Monique Smoak

I love this place , I have been coming to NYC since 2006 and I must tell you the atmosphere is nothing but love and the artist.

Bobby Guliani

No better place for Jazz in NYC

Gianpiero Suarato

Amazing!!! Todo experience in NY :-D

Fausto Abreu

A great jazz club that features the best of the genre's artists from all over the world. This hot spot also has fantastic fare and vino with awesome cocktails to choose from... Overall, this legendary jazz bar is the place to start your weekend in big city, bright lights that sets the tone to a fabulous time in NYC.

Daniel Eiras

Watched Eddie Palmieri play a set there last night; the acoustics were great, and so were the drinks. Overall a really good time.

michael gray

The musical and performance aspect were 5 star all the way. However, the food was OK and they packed people in 4 to a 2 person table. We had more room on the plane to NYC than in here... seriously!! Still worth going, definitely but know the above in advance and you will not be disappointed.

Richie D

My friends just had the best Classic Soul brunch there ever on Saturday ! WOW .The band Decade of Soul was absolutely amazing !! They played ever classic hit and the food was great . It's hard to believe it was that crowded because no one seems to know about this secret show. The club doesn't even advertise the show at all. We've been to many jazz shows there before but this concert was the best yet.

J soul

Great venue for live performances right I. The heart of the village. Small and intimate - I've seen a few performers here. Most recently I saw Roy Ayers who was dynamite man!!! Always check their site for upcoming performances. You love music, you'll love this venue. Staff is very professional, bartenders are top class!!

Joshua Dyer

I recommend you go here strictly for the entertainment and drinks. The food was not up to par in my opinion and the prices were steep. As far as the entertainment goes the live music was really good. The place is cramp and fills up quick so I suggest you get there early. Overall this place is good for the music and drinks otherwise I wouldn’t just eat there.

Alex Chan

Jazz Capital of NYC and the world. A must visit place and see the class performances there.

Bob Knudsen

A must visit for the jazz you crave. Chris Botti was fabulous. Looking forward to next year

Adam Najman

They book top notch acts.

Ramiro Campos

Staff is nice. Now only if it were A REAL jazz club. They stopped playing hard bop there in the 50's!

kecia dorsey-rosa

Blue note have great artists come to perform the only issue is that after all this time you would think that they would have renovated the inside seating so you're not sitting on top of others. They smush you in like sardines in a can. The Manhattan Transfers were performing tonight and we ended up grabbing seats and situating ourselves so others as well as ourselves would be a bit more comfortable. We had the shrimp avocado sandwich which comes on a croissant with French fries. I thought the shrimp would have been grilled (hot) but it was cold like shrimp cocktail but it was tasty. We had a good time. A great waitress.

Lawrence M Bosley

The music was great. Eddie Palmiere delivered as usual, he is amazingly, consistantly great. The tiny tables and ling wait outside the club sucks. The drink and food service should take place before the music starts, as it is too dark and cramped to eat, distracts from enjoying the music.

Kayla Myros

Fun performance space and charmingly tacky decor... I recommend to get in line early—even if you buy tickets in advance you’re seated in a first come first serve style (so don’t get stuck in the back) ! You are required to buy something... bring cash it’s easier to deal with!

Alisann Durham

Absolutely wonderful we seen Kenny G perform and boy does he put on a good performance if you love jazz you'll appreciate his music by different legends amazing

Vadim L

I enjoyed coming here frequently over the last 6 months, but the way we were treated by the hostess last week was simply atrocious. I made reservations for a table of 3 and our 3rd was waiting in line outside to get in. The hostess rudely told us that we either have to to give up the table or watch the show without my friend's wife who was standing in the cold outside still trying to get in. It seems they only care about having every seat filled with ZERO consideration for the individual at this place. We waited outside in the cold for an hour WITH a reservation only to be told we can't sit at our RESERVED table because the 3rd person of our party just happen to still be getting into the place when the hostess walked by. Ridiculous and simply inexcusable for an establishment such as this. We will not be coming back here again.

K Thompson

The ambience of club, the musical acts, the locale of Greenwich Village. Always a joyful experience.

Stepan

Menu is good. Live music great. Atmosphere is awesome! Love Bronx beer

Gary Shean

Absolutely a waste of money unless you arrive at least 2 hours prior to a show and get seats on the end of a table that isn’t reserved. 1 hour won’t do.. I’ve never been so cramped and jammed in for 200 bucks ... masters at turning table for 4 into table for 6. Show sounded good, but I couldn’t see it....

이선우

I expected gloomy jazz style like saxophone with piano. But the music was kind of bright Anyway not so bad. (Maybe it was not my day)

Frank Haye

Great food, awesome service, and heavenly music.

Sha S

Fancy jazz bar, better get a reservation or go there early for making sure you have a seat. The seats are very small, and no much soace. All the people need to share the tables.

Benjamin Pope

Classic tourist hotspot. Pricy for what it is

Chidi Ejimofo

Great for live performances by noted jazz artists; I was lucky enough to witness Take 6 deliver a masterful set. The venue's size lends itself to an intimate feel with tables arranged right up to the stage (though the chairs are so closely placed together it can feel a bit too intimate!). The food is tasty, the cocktails well made and the staff friendly and attentive. Thoroughly recommended if you love jazz.

Veronica Thompkins

Wonderful music. Seating could be better at the bar.

Décio Amorim

Very nice... Cool, and good food

David Dinhofer

Pricey, the chairs are uncomfortable and close together, don't sit next to a large person. But, hey where can you see Bobby McFerrin up close. The food and drinks were much better than expected.

Elizabeth Martir

The band Eric Krasno and friends was amazing. The food here was mediocre, came out cold, they messed up on a friends order and swore they didnt. Waitress was not all there.

Simon Povey

Great jazz venue but quite expensive and staff not that welcoming, especially compared to another jazz venue we visited the same night. We had a good position though and enjoyed the evening.

Carla Scott

A bit tight but a good space to enjoy Jazz. The Jerk Chicken Sandwich was very good also!

Julieta MF

Very good Jazz, but with no reservation it will cost you $30 for staying behind someone that is in the bar because there is no space in the bar, and don't even think in a seat. No body offers you a drink and all waiters passing in front of you, confined in a small spot. Doesn't worth it.

Dionne Lewis-Reid

Iconic music venue, great music, food wasn't so good though.

Dan Gray

Great spot for great music.

Carrie Cleveland

Best Jazz in town! Celebrating life in NYC...

Chris Stanley

Great place for catching a Jazz performance. Seating is quite tight though and the person at the door not too friendly.

Galina Shila

Tourist crowded place. People sitting as sardines in a jar. Over priced, food worth nothing. Music so so, however some artists Grammy nominated. Jazz at Lincoln center much better.

johnny astacio

The place is your "typical" jazz club place... just make sure you get there early to get good seating and if you don't want to pay for parking that's conveniently right across then leave even earlier to find street parking.. .or even easier just catch the path as it will leave you 4 blocks away.

Jermaine Ferguson-Smith

Our server never came back to get our entree order...just came with the check.

Lionel Blunden

Since opening in the 1980s, the Blue Note has grown into one of the world’s best venues for live jazz, and now has clubs in cities including Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Beijing and Milan. In its heyday, the club attracted icons such as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan and Oscar Peterson, so it’s held in high esteem by jazz fans. Today’s main acts include Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Joe Lovano, John Scofield and Chris Botti.

Tereza Suarez

Wonderful venue with incredible live jazz musicians! We had a great time here thanks to the friendly staff serving great cocktails and tasty food. Blue Note is one of the best places where you can enjoy fantastic live performances in an intimate atmosphere.
