Hip and happening good food great DJ and some great music

Lucho, the simpaticissimo young Argentinian Barman, made us the best Caipirinha we have ever had in our life.

Bagatelle is not the type of restaurant that I typically frequent. Sure, I enjoy French/Mediterranean cuisine and copious amounts of rosé just as much as the next person, but more often than not, I'm having a 'fat girl' day and I'd prefer *not* to be surrounded by models and their entourage when I'm trying to get my grub on. Even the employees at Bagatelle are flawless! Or being sprayed by champagne during one of those infamous weekend 'brunch parties.' Call me boring, but I'll take my omelette with a side of peace and quiet, thank you very much. Hold the Hollandaise and the live D.J. All of that being said, I recently enjoyed dinner at Bagatelle sans a live D.J. set and was seated a good two tables' distance from the next gaggle of young models. It was quite a pleasant and delicious evening! My point? Bagatelle has something for everyone, even your grandparents me! Just do your homework prior to your visit to make sure you're a) not about to walk in to a party (if that's NOT what you're looking for) or you're b) about to walk in to a party (if that's NOT what you're looking for). Tuna Tartare While most versions of tuna tartare pale in comparison to Chef Jean Georges' famous rendition at Nougatine, Bagatelle's interpretation can stand on its own. The trifecta of textures - ripe, buttery avocado, crispy and salty taro chips, and cubed pieces of fresh, ruby red-hued tuna - flirt so compatibly with one another that you will find yourself enthusiastically alternating between bites of tuna and taro - tuna and avocado - avocado and taro, etc. - kissed with a sweet and savory soy dressing. Gnocchi à la Parisienne There's gnocchi. And then there's Parisian gnocchi. Sounds way more fancy, right? It is! If you're familiar with a profiterole, the same dough is used to make Parisian gnocchi: pâte à choux. Hint, there are no potatoes in the French version of this recipe. I'm not going to go as far as to say that I prefer the French rendition to the Italian, but damn. Nothing quite compares to these perfectly-cooked pillows of warm dough that effortlessly envelope the inside of your mouth with such a rich, savory 'carb elixir.' Paired with a buttery cream sauce infused with a mild hint of truffle, the dish is finished with salty parmesan cheese. C'est magnifique! Apple Gala This is one of those dishes that, upon arrival, is so visually unexpected and artfully stunning that it takes your breath away. Quite literally. And best of all? Unlike fondant on a wedding cake, it tastes great, too! I can't quite describe this masterpiece beyond the notes on the menu: "Mascarpone mousse, apple filling, white chocolate, sablé Breton, fresh fruit, vanilla ice cream." Bottom line: If you're down with apples and willing to shell out $16 for a dessert, then don't even think twice about ordering this Instagram-worthy morsel of edible art.

If you’re looking for a place to have a great party brunch, Bagatelle will definitely provide you with a great experience. Unfortunately they will also rip you off. We were a party of five celebrating a nice family reunion. We also ordered 5 bottles of champagne feeling quite festive. Had a great time, paid our bill and left. Once the credit card bill arrived, we noticed they charged us for 7 bottles. We called the manager, they said they would investigate the matter, yet 2 weeks later and no follow up. Quite unacceptable. I guess it’s not enough for them that you actually order bottle service, they will steal your money as well when you’re having too much of a good time to notice. It’s a shame that such a reputable restaurant feels the needs to take advantage of clients. Please be warned and double check your bill.

Our yearly sales seminar party is always fun, but particularly so this year with help from Bagatelle. Strikes a unique vibe between "chic, upscale French bistro" and "club in meatpacking". All the staff here are helpful, polite, and well trained. All of the food I ate was fantastic, especially my perfectly cooked steak au poivre. Shame I didn't have room for dessert. Obviously this place is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Stephen Mingus

I was here last thursday and was very surprised. I found really bad things in the reviews but seems they were not true. Service was very friendly and we got our food quick. Loved the wine list.

Rosenberg Rodriguez

Trendy place but the food is horrible especially given the price. If you want to have just drinks, great! Otherwise - avoid!

Franchesca Rodgers

Do not let the many good reviews fool you—do not come here if you want to get out in under 4 hours—not kidding. After nearly two hours we threw down cash and left, having not received our main course. About 1 hour after being seated we received our appetizers; and 45 minutes later we received the bread. It seemed every other table had similar service—pizza was the only thing coming out of the kitchen with any relative “speed.” We commiserated with the table next to us about the complete lack of service. It appears there was only one waiter and several food runners and bus boys as the night went on the tables filled up. Perhaps worst of all was the general manager (if you can call him that.) For the first hour and a half we were there he stood at the hostess stand, drinking and watching the events unfold. Guests were pouring their own wine (after walking to the wine stand to grab the bottle.) Truly this night was unforgettable—for the worst reasons possible. When we left we told the hostess (as the wait staff was nowhere to be seen) to cancel our main course as we were leaving—this was the only time I saw any inkling of gusto in the wait staff. If Bagatelle staff is reading this—you should consider a new profession, as my experience was flagrantly unimpressive and offensive. When we left the restaurant we saw the manager outside on his cell phone, smoking a cigarette—maybe he was ordering backup. The food earned them one star (if you’re okay waiting an hour for fish and salad appetizer.) Minus 4 stars for everything else. PS: the Italian place across the street has good food and service (although everything seems good after waiting 2 hours for food.) 4/5 stars.

Food is fantastic! Flavors are impeccable, savory and leave you wanting more. Portions are large so you won't have much room for all you desire. Not a classic fresh cuisine, but softened with an American touch. Staff were exceptional, Service was slow to start but picked up as the evening crowd arrived. Decore is nice but a bit hollow in substance. Overall I recommend you try their menu. Not for the faint of wallet.

Sara

If your looking for a cool atmosphere with friends and dancing at your table this the spot for you!

We only had drinks here. Very tasty and good price but we have this place in our list to come back and eat. Open large space and the menu was interesting. Service was just ok. Not impressed at all.

pala heer

Lovely ambiance and food. The staff were absolutely amazing and made my big round number Bday celebrations a memorable one . A big shout out to Andre who exceeded customer service in all possible ways. We enjoyed it that much have decided to go back again for Saturday brunch !!!!

zules27

Terrible experience. They over book tables and just want you to stand by the bar and don’t give you a time frame as to when the next table will be ready. Rude staff. Awful customer service.

Brianna Nicolia

My sisters planned my 25th birthday here. They sat us 1 hour late & did not serve drinks or water for an additional 45 mins because there was an "error" in our contract (they failed to mention until we said something) ****Gregory, made up the difference and was nothing short of amazing!! I would only go back if he was working. He went above and beyond to make me happy. 5 stars for Gregory!!!

Aria Calisi

We went with a group of eight to celebrate a friends birthday all the ladies ordered a fillet mignon with truffles on top and they all arrived cold , they might have had them sitting out while they waited for the rest of the food to finish cooking for the rest of the table . But the worst part was in the middle of our meal a cockaroach falls on the ceiling and runs across the table we killed it, screamed and called the waiter over who started to laugh and made a remark that it is New York City. As you can guess we did not find it funny . Things did get a little heated because we were offended so the manager comes over and hands as a $1700 check and asked us to wrap it up. Worst dining experience.

Alexa A

“Baga-hell” HORRIBLE, DON’T GO. The olive in my martini was the best part of the meal. We maybe had too high of expectations. We paid over $500, or around $150 per person for one drink and cold pasta (5-6 pieces of ravioli), worse than what comes out of my microwave. Went for a birthday based on reputation and didn’t read any reviews (our mistake). The restaurant was empty when we arrived and not a single person at our table of 5 enjoyed their meal, which is a statistical anomaly considering we all got different dishes. I personally attempted to enjoy the lobster ravioli but found myself finishing it out of pure hunger after the very long wait. I’ve never not enjoyed pasta - but definitely worse food at the price point I’ve ever had. Will be dining at McDonalds next time as at least the food is warm. Thanks and #neveragain

5 star French 5 star service incredible portions. What you expect in NYC. The best.

Amogh Bhooplapur

I am never one to write a good review as i feel like it is a waste of time but everything about bagatelle brunch exceeded my expectations and me experience NYC in a different light. The experience cannot be matched anywhere else, the food is some of the best food you can get in the city and if you are a person who likes to have a good time but still be able to communicate with your friends, Bagatelle brunch is the right place for you. Sad that i cannot have my birthday there this year as it seems that they are unavailable/booked. 10/10 would recommend with the only problem being how you feel after you leave.

Dudley Vandehei

This place used to have a lot of less than tasteful art but it seems to have cleaned up its act since the last time I was here. It's become a place I'm happy to bring my mom and dad for a nice upscale dinner. Kudos on the food and decor!

Malvina Novikova

I was there 3 times for dinner, lunch and drinks and all 3 times not a pleasant experience. The waiter spill my champagne i asked him to bring me a new one never arrived... they only care about customers who buy bottles. My food over too much over salted we send it back but it was still included in the bill. Once the music is over and lights are up they literally throw you out and doesn't matter if you have finished your drink or not. It was pouring rain and i was waiting for my uber right on the exit under the roof but the stuff pushed me outside didn't let me wait 1 min. Never again i go to spend my time or my money there.

guzel sagdaeva

I was here last wednesday for dinner with my friend who was in town from Russia. When I have a friend in town I like to take them to the best there is - and for me that's bagatelle. The food and the service definitely lived up to the hype. Careful coming here on a diet, it's very easy to overindulge.

Darron Foat

My friend Francois recommended to come here so I had to check it out. Five star dining at it's finest. The trick is to come for dinner, not brunch.

Christine Lako

Went here for restaurant week - it was decently priced and the food was delicious. I especially loved the Salade Bagatelle!

Arash Ari Aramesh

Understaffed. Overpriced. Is this a club? Restaurant? Trading post? Bar? Wild Wild West?

Shorena Adams

Oh, I love this place! The food is amazing. Anything we ordered and we ordered a huge variety of all sorts of food. Their tuna tartar is out of this world! Risotto with wild mushroom delicious! Not sure which nights, but I know Saturdays, If you go after 9pm dinner you also get a party! They have a DJ and very cool atmosphere.

munira garipulina

We don't have anything like this in chicago. I read on tripadvisor that this was the place to come for dinner during the week so I came last Thursday. We had the truffle gnocchi and it was the bomb. I love that after a quiet and calm meal things pick up. It would have been frustrating if we started eating late because it got so loud you really couldn't hear - but it was perfect since we started early

Gladys Clukey

Let me start by saying things here are not cheap - but you will notice the attention to detail and that makes it worth it for me. The quality ingredients and kitchen staff come with a price and it shines here. The lamb was melt in your mouth good and paired great with the red wine they picked for my table.

P Lue

Made reservations for 12:30 half of the party was there we were waiting on 2 people who showed up 2 minutes outside of the grace period and we're refused seating.

Zayn Castaneda

I eat here a lot since I work in the area. I like how their customer service is always awesome and they keep the place neat all the time. Prices are reasonable and they serve generous portions.

Alex Serebrov

Very nice place! Definitely the place to spend Saturday night. Very interesting fusion of high end restaurant with a trendy night club. Expensive but worth every dollar. The only downside is if you want nice ambiance for a good conversation with a date or friend, this place is way too loud for that.

Ana Burgos

Bagatelle overall is a pretty cool place. However, I made reservations for 2:30pm, my party arrived at 2:43pm i was told I would be seated in a few minutes. an hour later and still no table at 4pm host said to me I no longer had a table. they have a 15 mins grace-period. This happened to 3 different parties too.. Crazy! I had to leave and have late brunch some place else. Very irresponsible!

RaLynn Lighty

Great atmosphere attentive service

JULLIANA JULLIANE

Bartender was very sweet. I didnt dine I just tried one of their dessert at the bar. Overall seems like a nice place to dine.

jonathan chau

After couple drinks you should watch out your belongings. Their peoples try to still your phones. Wallet and handbag . Be careful. !!!! The server try stealing my phone and I catch him ! haha FYI be careful

Liliane Kalima

The food was good but the service was terrible. Our waiter, Gregory, had an attitude and was sarcastic when I asked questions about the menu which is mostly in another language. The price is not worth the service.

Krissan Pattugalan

Food is overpriced for being pretty standard at this price point. Just a lot of people there trying to seem cool just for being there. I guess it is more for the novelty of the party afterwards. But much too expensive for what it is.

A A

On Thursday evening following the new year, the crowd was as sparse as I've ever seen. Under 12 guests, including this writer and guest. The service was good, although not great, probably due to a language barrier, where the server spoke French fluently, and English to a functional manner, but did not seem to understand "tap water no ice", and poured Evian, subsequently billing us $36 for that. He did remove it upon request, and was professional, seemed kind, and was attractive. I ordered the whole fish special, and the $135 was never communicated to me, and while it was delicious, it was not worth that price. The mashed butter, with potatoes were creamy, indulgent, and rich, and table bread perfect - crisp and satisfying - with just enough flavor to balance the meal. Another language discrepancy was that I asked "Are my left overs packed? Is the spinach there." to which the server ordered another spinach dish. Annoying, but not painfully so. Based on this, I would recommend Bagatelle, especially for Sunday Brunch, at which point it is a zoo of beautiful people, and loud music, a far cry from the intimate dinner I attended.

gerardo monge

I’m so sorry to say that this place is probably the worst brunch I ever had in my life it’s a shame and I am so disappointed it was my wife’s 40th birthday she did not have no fun what’s so ever it would’ve been perfect only if they had a real DJ that knew what he was doing. If it wasn’t for my bartender take care of me my drink was nothing but a cup of ice and water the only thing thank god the food was good . I don’t have nothing with guys bringing out bottles but thank god my theme was the best I prefer girls . I had my birthday at the old Bagatelle’s and i had the best time of my life this was a rip off worst experience for someone to say this place is the spot you have no clue whats a good brunch and you just as corny as everyone in this place dress like clowns you could basically walk in there with sneakers and a T-shirt it’s terrible

Noel Von

This restaurant has a high price tag but the service that it delivers its excellent to match it. Sunday brunch is an event and starts with a club like atmosphere around 3pm Sunday.

When St Tropez meets New York ! Amazing Brunch!

Vaughn Vanicek

Meatpacking is known for the party. bagatelle is known to bring the party on the weekend - however most people don't realize that Bagatelle is pretty calm for a nice dinner during the week. I sure didn't. Food was awesome. I'm glad I found this place through some food instagrammers who I follow who always seem to have a good time here.

Elinor Dadbin

Amazing place amazing service something special not just a restaurant!

romina scandroglio

Horrible service! Just horrible

Julian Carr

Dinner here is the bomb. We split the scallops and the gnocchi and they were both so good. The staff really went out of their way to make everyone in our group feel special. I have to say that I was very impressed by the wine list. Love the French influence on it.

Natalie Frazier

I've dined at Bagatelle several times, but never for Brunch so I didn't really know what I was getting in to. I have to tip my hat to the staff from servers to bouncers to (who I can only imagine was) the floor/general manager. They were on high energy/alert the whole day and ran a tight ship on what could easily turn into a disaster. I saw them discretely escort a lady out of the restaurant who'd clearly had way too much to drink and diffuse the makings of a major testosterone/liquor fueled brawl at a table next to mine without much of a disturbance. Did we have to ask the server a couple of times to bring a drink he forgot? Sure. Did someone spill a drink on my dress? You betcha. But given the crazy club-like environment everything was amazing. If you’re an easy-going person, open to rolling with the punches and having a blast, you should experience this brunch at least once. The staff were on point. With their patience and professionalism they kept a room full of boozy brunch-goers in check and having a wonderful time.

Sandra Kimmie

We came here last year and we have a great time, when our time was up on our table they the staff was telling us how much money the next guests were going to spend so they were pushing us out as soon as they could. We understood that was fine. However, we came here this weekend and there was no rush for seating us at our allotted time in fact anyone who had a booth were their prime customers and they basically ignored us peasants until the host finally got to us a half hour past our reservation. Fine. Drinks are good, staff is nice but omg the food is so overrated and pricey for low quality. The lobster Mac and cheese is like soup, the lobster roll is imitation lobster, the crab cakes are filled with so many fillers I didn't even taste crab, the truffle pizza was okay, the only thing we liked were the French fries and those weren't even that amazing. Our bill was almost 1,000 and I can honestly say I've had better meals at other restaurants. I'm sure most people don't come for the food as they do the whole brunch experience and so, in conclusion, if you just want to dance and be entertained this is your place. If you enjoy high quality food for the price you are about to pay, go somewhere else. I'll never return.

Angela Brown

Came with a diverse group so I think the cries of racism are unfounded. We had the best time at kiss don't tell on Wednesday. Loved the high energy dinner. The food was next level. DIdn't think you could elevate chicken and potatoes but their dish proved me dead wrong.

Sharon Parker

Totally amazing

Capri Singh

Was here for a company holiday party. The staff was unfriendly, very pushy, and the bartenders had the worst attitude. I dont know why they acted like everything was an inconvenience to them. Negative stars is needed for this place only because their staff.

Leon Lin

Food is decent but of course overpriced. Needless to say the drinks or getting a table are also terribly expensive. That said, for a day brunch party it's hard to beat bagatelle. Party starts at 3 I think. Worth going to at least once.

Vanessa Farideh Garcia

For brunch, the french toast is a must-try!!! And staying for the champagne brunch party that starts at 230pm is always a blast!!

Kaoutar Takouit

This is the second time i call to book for dinner and i always get the same answer, i have a table at 8pm for 2 hours!! You can not tell me what time i should come and how long i should stay, plus this time i booked today the 25th of feb for March 15th !! And still the same answer no attempt to accomodate my request. I really don’t appreciate it.

Anastasia Kogan

Beautiful place and great atmosphere, especially after 10pm. Cannot say the same about the food and service. Took them an hour to start taking our food orders and the first round of drinks came an hour after we ordered.

brany bernal

Always my favorite place for a fancy dinner out in the city. totally wroth getting dressed up for. The dinner is much more relaxed than the brunch so don't worry about it being too loud

Hussein Salem

Best place in New York to go out

Sheree Mathews

I ate here last Thursday night with some friends. Our server eddie suggested that we start with the gnocchi, great recommendation. We went on to have the scallops and they were so good - surprisingly sweet but it worked!

Alice Ronke

The chicken was good, big serving. I wanted the duck but it wasn't available. Took a lot to get the wait staffs attention during the visit. Maybe, I was there on an off day.

Always a good time

alexei lifa

Pricy , but fancy

James Nash

The first thing I noticed was that the atmosphere was beautiful. I felt so welcomed. Everyone from the doorman to the front desk hostesses were so wonderful and friendly. I was waiting for a friend so I sat at the bar. This isn’t the kind of place I would use

Carly Davis

Everything was perfect. We had great night. Thank u and see u next time:)

Clement Carley

Stopped in for drinks while in the area. It was quiet, which I appreciated as I wasn’t in the mood for a scene shortly after work. The bartender recommended a rose sangria, which I thought was perfect for a hot and humid day. It was drier than I expected which was a nice treat. Speaking of humidity, while I was sitting at the bar it started to rain and since I didn’t have an umbrella I decided to stay for a while. I had some of their truffle parmesan fries which were so full of flavor.

oak oak

Great service and excellent food definitely recommend

kristina ykalo

My friend Dudley knows how to pick restaurants! He was here a few years back and came back to retry it with me. The food - my word was was amazing. You must try the chicken with the truffles!

María José Rojas Latouche

I just wish there was one Bagatelle in Chicago.... so I will celebrate my birthday party there.... is everything you need and want in just one place.

Mark Themecky

I went to bagatelle once last year with a friend who introduced me to it. Fun bar scene and I really love the cocktails. They are very expensive, but clearly made with love so it's worth it to me. Since my first time this has become a go-to for me because the bar and food are so good. I've since been here at least three times. Obviously will be back!

Elly Pourasef, Au.D.

Well can I just say WOW- what an experience that was!! That was the funnest time I had in a bar atmosphere EVER, and the craziest part was that it was at 3 in the afternoon no less ("party brunch" from 3-6 pm on a Saturday-- booked WELL in advance)! Everyone was awesome- wait staff, the champagne hotties, and of course, BORIS! It was worth every penny- the energy was INSANE and they clearly aimed to please, extremely pricey but it was worth it to me. Everything was perfection- the food was amazing. Every one of my senses were affected- I hope to experience that again someday!

Alida Nui

Avoid like the plague! Understaffed and overpriced, and the meal has been a series of errors. Wrong drink, wrong salad, still waiting for entree. Silly, really, for a place that charges $18-20 for drinks and 15-21 for the salads. Various stories about why they are understaffed, depending who you talk to. Etc etc. Artichoke salad was tasty, when they eventually brought the right dish. Bagatelle salad (plain lettuce) was fine. Duck was okay, veal ordered medium was rather dry and tough. You can blame that on me (for ordering medium) or on them, I guess. Hopelessly poor management. This restaurant expects to make its trade with tourists and visiting expense-account men, not with return customers.

Brayden Mora

Being used to Bagatelle of Saint Tropez and Ibiza I had the same expectations while coming here. We came for brunch on recommendations of friends. The restaurant was booked when we arrived, so we waited for a moment but the manager was really professional and friendly. The party started around 3pm and we were surprised how the Bagatelle spirit was present while not being on a beach but in a restaurant. We had a good service, a really fun time, the food was good the show was as crazy as other Bagatelle and the Dj had a great selection of musics. A good taste of France in NYC

Matthew Hudson

Dinner was delicious! The Bordeaux they picked was amazing with the meat.

L N N lillies

Lousy place there’s so many hidden gems in the city don’t waste your time here or your money it spends everywhere.

Gregory Carson

Lovely place. Thanks to David for hosting an amazing event.

Alexander Rizsk

Great atmosphere. Great food. I even went to the brunch party Sunday and it was really fun. Uplifting atmosphere and every one is super energetic And friendly I'd recommend this for food or a good time.

Adyut Hari Goel

Totally loved the party scene at Bagatelle Amazing way of bringing in the champagne bottle

jenny orozco

Very bad experience. . Men like to touch the private partes for the women. My worse experience at all!!!

Marthe Lawrence

A restaurant with few quality, a part it’s location near the High line. Poor salad without particular tarte, a tuna tartar that taste mayonnaise and mustard. Really, avoid that place that feels like a money maker place, with a bad chef. Sad for the reputation of french cuisine in New York.

Ruiz Rafael

La comidas son buenas pero tienen un precio muy alto pero la calidad y cantidad es buena l

Elliott Rogasik

B&T crew but still fun

Collin Macy

My friend has told me time and time again about how good the brunch at Bagatelle is. It sounded a little too over the top for me, so he decided that we should come for dinner instead. We came on a Thursday night, which was fun because for a few hours the music was at a calm lever so we could sit and catch up over dinner. Around 10 or 11 the music started getting louder -- which was great because I loved the 80s and 90s that the DJ was spinning. Food was fantastic. The scallops were a nice surprise because not only were they cooked to perfection, they were sweeter than any scallops I’ve had before.

Yessenia Arias

I was here for my friends birthday and it was a disaster. We had a reservation for 2pm and got seated at 330 pm only to give us a table for 4 for a reservation for 9 ppl. We ended up leaving after the frustration . Defenitely not worth the hype!

Talz Emm

Long wait (approx 1 hr), even with reservations. Ok music. Ok food. Great drinks. Tight seating. For such an overpriced spot, they need to invest in new chairs, cleaner restrooms & a better ventilation system- it is quite stuffy & uncomfortable in there. Overall ambiance is pleasant and staff are friendly.

Jacqueline Cerniglia

Organized a bachelorette to brunch and then party until 5pm. Had great time with good crowd.

Phil Miller

Spent the whole dinner with waiters scraping past me serving another table. If you are going to charge $50 for a steak then leave enough fekin room between the tables so your staff can operate. Pathetic really.

Miks

Sunday brunch here is a must do when in NYC! This gem in the Meat packing district is a fantastic experience!! It is unlike any brunch you would have ever been to! Once inside, the ambience and energy is fabulous! Fantastic music, great food and drinks. The vibe of this place is eclectic!! Highly recommended

Ruby Ward

Can you have too much truffle? There was one time in my life I ate too much truffle on everything and never wanted to see it again but that was years ago and luckily behind me because Bagatelle goes hard on the truffles! We had a pizza and a chicken dish - both of which had a nice truffle taste to them. The pizza was very rich but the chicken was much more subtle which I really appreciated.

Lucinda Breinla

Excellent food, good service, dress well because all the people that go to that restaurants are really well dressed.Know what you want to order in advance because the waiters or the waitresses are really on top of things and you do not want to look like your from out of space.

Bebe Andrukiewicz

Food was delicious and ambiance is trendy and classy

Anton Borja

Truth be told my girlfriend brought me here for their ladies night special "Pour Elle" - we mostly hung out at the bar. The bar scene was pretty cool. Everyone is pretty well dressed, but nicer than I'd expect. Bar staff was excellent. It sometimes took them a few minutes to get me service but that was because they were busy, not like on their phone or something. Definitely want to try the food next time.

Vicente Surraco

This might be the most overrated brunch venue of all time. The Drinks: Usually, when you can't taste the alcohol in a cocktail, it's a sign of a well-mixed cocktail. In this case, it's because their giant brunch cocktails don't actually seem to contain alcohol. If you like paying hundreds of dollars to load yourself with liquid sugar, this is the place for you. The Food: Brunch food all came out at the exact same time, and was already cold when it got to us. Pancakes with a side of pizza, anyone? The food was also bad. Not good, not mediocre, just bad. Stale and tasteless. Speaking of stale and tasteless... The Performance: The performers were completely lifeless. If the only thing that matters to you is getting a solid pic for the 'gram, then their half-hearted dancing should suffice. This is the epitome of manufactured "fun". The Staff: A hyper-aggressive group of losers was shoving other guests and generally starting problems with anyone near them. Staff responded by kicking out the guests they were harassing. When asked why, the staff actually agreed that it was the hyper-aggressors who were at fault, but "we like them because they're big spenders." Classy. Conclusion: Avoid like the plague.

Thomas Korsgård Lund

Way too expensive for what it is. Mediocre service as well.

Robert Leija

I read that if you order a bottle of champagne the staff gets dressed up when they deliver it. However, they didn't for us. Then I realized that is what they do at brunch and we were here celebrating for dinner so I guess things are different. I didn’t mind that since the food and service were so on point all night. Really made our night special.

Cathy G

The most disorganized place I have ever been to. We made a reservation and let me tell you, it meant absolutely nothing. We waited for over 2 hours before we decided to leave because it was very clear that we weren’t going to be seated any time soon. There is no rhyme or reason to the seating. They tell you to wait at the bar for your table to be ready without taking your name or number or anything. Basically the only way to be seated is if you harass the hostess. Terrible customer service.

Gabriel Jacques

Good place to eat

After reading so much about it being clubby I was worried when I heard we were coming here for dinner. I was relieved to find that even at 9pm it was ambient but still possible to talk to each other. However, once it hit right around 11 it did get a little louder and more wild. That was fine though because I was done with my meal so my date and I hit the bar for a few drinks to have a good time!

Food is tasteful in a balanced subtle way. Food smells good and fresh. The price is little bit high in terms of the size of the food (mostly bite size). Wouldn't recommend if you are super hungry.

Let me start by saying the food was fantastic and waiters patient, to some extent. I met a friend I had not seen in 20 years here. As the evening progressed, the lights got dimmer, the music louder and people standing on their chair in party mode. It's hard to catch up when it's this loud. Both my wine glass and spoon served with latte was dirty. Not cool for a pricy restaurant. Waiter removed dessert menues from table after we didn't pick something within 10 minutes, it was a sure sign that they wanted us to leave. You are in Manhattan, hospitality should be key, especially at high end prices.

So many people come for the party. I come for the food. All they know here is fine dining and breathing.

Delightful plaza setting. Shades Of Paris right in the meat packing district. Expensive but well done.

Excellent experience. Food is so good and I am impressed by the floral decor. Goes great with the white walls. Staff were on par with high end restaurants in the city. (That says something)

Vanessa Rodriguez

It was a brunch party.

Terrible experience. We had a 2:30 pm reservation on Saturday 12/15/2018 that I booked a month earlier. The wait was 1 hour or more and they never had a table for us. The restaurant was overbooked. No one ever came to talk to us at all. We were very disappointed. We ended up walking out. Several other people were standing around with reservations and no table. No one deserves to be treated this way. I recommend spending your money elsewhere at a restaurant that will value and treat you well.

Excellent only complain is the reservation policy is wonky. Great food and great crowds!

Reviewing real time at the obnoxiousness of this place. Waited an hr and a half for a table we had a reservation for. Said they couldnt seat us and split up our group then left 4 of us stranded for too long. Get ppl who know how to manage a crowded restaurant and dont try to throw a bottle of moet at us to makeup for their mismanagement.

Overrated place for brunch. It’s one of those places most people go to so they can say they went there on Instagram and this place is taking full advantage. Very pricey for ok food and ok drinks. If the experience was better then the stats would be higher but for now I don’t recommend it

This is in the heart of the meatpacking district in NYC. All kinds of people in this area and many other places to eat as well. Its French as most of the waiters who spoke to us. My first time there and it will not be my last, as I must say the food was excellent! The drinks even better, but drink with caution as that is where you will pay as they drinks are pretty expensive $18-$20. It's an pricey, but they have a good menu choice of dishes, so its worth it. It was recommend by waiter as well that Sunday Brunch is fun, as they have live DJ and it becomes a total dance spot. I will be back!

The good: Fun place if you're a girl, going with a group of girls. The crowd can also vary depending on the time of day - in the daytime, the crowd is your standard, basic, well-dressed NYC brunch army - international population is pretty sizeable too. In all, it's quite the entertaining sight if you are experiencing an "NYC party brunch experience" for the first time. The not-so-good(s): 1) I've noticed that the bartenders in particular are biased toward females, and have seen a few of the male staff deliberately avoiding to serve some of my (well-behaved and decent) male friends. This has been observed on several instances and is comes across as snobby and rude, given that men are expected to pay a hefty cover/price to enjoy this place. 2) My general observations are that at night however, the crowd is a little older and oddly more uncouth and unclassy. Overall, appears fun from the outside and during brunch time, but after 6pm can turn into a trainwreck extravaganza.

Loved how classy everyone looked and the vibes were so positive. Make sure you dress up, this isn’t a place to wear anything you would at a regular brunch. The food - I’ll admit I had maybe a bite or two. I was distracted by all the champagne. If you can get bottle service

William Candee

A traditional-looking French restaurant is turned into a crazy, amazing party for Brunch every Sunday, with great food, champagne delivered to tables by characters in costume and holding sparklers, loud dance music and disco lighting, appearances by live performers, to entertain young sophisticates and aging Euro-trash. The champagne flows constantly and you can't help but get up and shake it. It could not have been more fun, and great for groups of 4 or more.

Had dinner and drinks first night. Food was fantastic (best in Gustavia), service was perfect! Entire staff really go out of their way to make you feel special. Went to another known restaurant the next night and left to come back to Bagatelle because it is simply better in every way. Thank you to all the staff for two great experiences!

Late dinner service is pretty average. But can't blame them when you are having the time of your life dancing and meeting ppl. Food was good staff great & decor ok.

Land of the living dead. 4 people in the place on a Tuesday night for dinner and with awesome weather. Hot spot gone dead

Chardae Varlack

Had the best Sunday brunch at Bagatelle! My friends and I had a 12:30 reservation, got seated in a timely fashion and got straight to the eating before the party began. The portions meant for sharing are truly for sharing - highly recommend the disco fries, delicious! The party gets going at 3p and soon you’ll think it’s midnight on Saturday night at the club as the place goes pitch black, everyone’s dancing and the bottle popping starts. Such a great place to celebrate an event or just have a great day out.

Good night

The brunch here is not really my scene. It’s a little too loud and crazy for what I’m into. However, I do love going out to nice restaurants. I came here a couple weeks ago on a Thursday night for dinner with some high school friends. We loved the atmosphere and were excited to get started. We started by splitting gnocchi and truffle pizza appetizers. The pizza was so tasty. Gnocchi was good too but I thought it may have a little too much truffle between the two. For dinner my friend got the steak au poivre and I got the roasted chicken. We tried each others and I can’t say for certain which was better but we both enjoyed it.

Fabulous Service, and even better food. The location and atmosphere is gorgeous, I absolutely adore this place. A slighter larger menu might be nice but i do really love what they have. Keep it up you guys.

Food is ok, most of the times it lacks proper seasoning. The vibe is nice and fun and adds up the experience.

Marco De Simone

Fun place with good fo food and great power party atmosphere.

2nd time I've been here for the CureSMA evening of Hope, and its just as great as it wss the 1st time. Bartenders and servers do an excellent job. I look forward to my next visit.

David Pemberton

Ambiance is great. Food is good, not amazing. Small portions for the price. Drinks are very good. Dessert can be better.

Laura Benevides

The food is amazing. variety of selections and lots of booze to drink. Def my fav spot in this city. can't go wrong with Bagatelle anywhere honestly.

Fatima AlMadhloum

If you are looking for a nice place to have dinner an talk to your friends, this is NOT the place! Music is so loud and it is not “friends gathering” friendly. The food is not that good and the service is bad.

Olga Kiseleva

I was there few times at night time. I had reservations but was waiting for my table longer. If you wanna celebrate birthday this place for you. For the regular dinner very noisy place. small portions of food but very delicious!

Take my review with a couple grains of salt: Grain 1 - The last time I went was on a Sunday night. The place was basically all mine. I think only two other parties came through for dinner. So the service was amazing but there was no other option than for it to be amazing. Grain 2 - I've been there for brunch but that was years ago. The day I visited for lunch we actually left before the situation fully leveled up. Anyways, I arrived on Sunday night, about 15 minutes early, for my dinner reservation. I was greeted by both the hostess and a gentleman who would end up being my server. He actually seemed more knowledgeable than the hostess. My companion ended up being an hour and a half late! In which time, I got to know the bartender (who lived in Singapore at one time). I cracked jokes with the server too. Meanwhile, I had two "Smooth50" cocktails. It had a citrus taste but I can't remember the ingredients... VERY good though. When my buddy finally arrived, we were seated quickly. The server very politely and understandably let us know that the kitchen was going to close soon. So we sent our orders in, taking account some of his suggestions. We had the Tuna Tartar and Gnocchi appetizers, followed by the blackened Halibut and the Scalloped Ravioli entrees. I thought the Tuna Tartar was better than the Gnocchi but my companion like them the same. We shared a dessert but I don't remember what it was (Don't read too much into that). Afterwards, the chef came out to greet us and see how we liked everything. We of course reported that it was all great. I received a cocktail, on the house towards the end (I think they took pity on my having waited forever for my friend to arrive). It was a nice gesture and earned them that final star. Bottom line: If you've got a free Sunday night, you should go, hang out with the staff for a while and then have dinner. You won't regret it. In fact, you'll try and scheme up excuses to go back. Mark it!

The staff was rude and when we asked them to turn off the ventilator and they just increased it. We had to wear jackets. After that we had to wait for the staff to bring us the menu for 10 minutes and the bill for 15 minutes. Then later the waiter came after my dad asking for a tip and a good review!
