This spot gives wonderful service and delicious food. My favourite place around here. The meals came out quick and the rates are reasonable. Highly recommended.

Mel J

We made reservations but still had to wait a long time for a table. Once seated, the staff made up for this with complimentary bubbles and attentive service. The steaks are delicious but they also have a broad menu which was all good.

Quinn Webb

The food and service were ahead of our expectations. We truly liked the ambience of this restaurant. Superb restaurant to take my family out for dinner.

Chris Frissora

Super great place in Tribeca...the best thing though (in my opinion) are the burgers they serve at the bar...they tweet out how many they have each day (usually like 10) and you need to be there immediately when it opens to get them but it's worth it!

Kaustuv Dasgupta

Better than your average steakhouse

Adam Corrigan

I really wanted to like this place. We came with a party of 5 and had great things. I thought the food was mediocre and overpriced, for what we got. My girlfriend's Filet mignon was not at all tender and it was overcooked. She asked for it medium rare. Came out more like medium well. My short rib was bland and tasteless. The chili lobster was OK, but for the $34 price or wherever we paid, you hardly get any meat. Not to mention glasses of wine are $16. The wait staff was friendly and the food was served in a timely manner, but overall I was not impressed.

Taylor Aguirre

The tomahawk was AMAZING!! The sides were so tasty too! Can’t remember our servers name but he was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. You should try this place if you’re looking for an spectacular steakhouse.

Oh M

Nice lively place. quality food. some of our steaks were over cooked.

Charles Hu

Been to nearly every steak house in nyc, and this is my favorite steakhouse. Perhaps it's their special smoked old fashioned, the Muhammad Ali mural hanging over their bar, the general ambience, or just going and hanging with my lifelong friends. Lobster chili with steak is a must try. Tomahawk rib eye also a staple. There is a pastrami steak that also brings another great flavor. Overall probably my go to most favorite restaurant.

Mike Zhang

Great steak house.

Sofia Arhall Bergendorff

Good steaks. Great sides. love the spinach with fontina cheese and the cauliflower. We enjoy going for an early dinner with the kids. Took my dad for his 75th birthday and he absolutely loved it.

Dennis

Get there early, grab a seat at the bar, and order the burger. There's only a handful made daily. Very grown up atmosphere. Oh, and get the smoked old fashioned. Half off ($10, regularly $20) for happy hour.

Darrell Anderson

The decor, formal and eclectic at the same time. Made it 15 min early on Valentine's Day and were seated promptly. And the place was crowded. We got the Valentine's Day package and we're not disappointed. Service was quick and enjoyable. $$$$ though. But it's Valentine's Day. Seeing as how I didn't hit the lottery yet, I'll use it as an anniversary / special occasion spot. Makes me want to check out Forgionne's other restaurants..

Sheryl Richards

Quite a good location for quick food. We had a burger and a desert. I really enjoyed the burger, and the chocolate pudding spot on. There were other things on menu, we tried one or two more. The ice cream how ever wasn't really smooth or melting in mouth, other than that all was great. I am considering hiring them for my engagement dinner next weekend, thank you guys!

Showtime X

I think it is a distinguished place for steaks. Excellent steaks, biscuits. Desserts are great but not as excellent as steak. The service here is five star. They put lots of thought into details regarding service.

Julian Wachholz

Restaurant week menu was absolutely amazing. Could probably not afford to eat there normally. :)

Brendan McNerney

If this place is not on your hit list then you must add it right now! The service here, the food here, the atmosphere here is truly out of a dream. This is where you want to go if you have a large group or a small group. The food is truly astounding the service is friendly, the cocktails are good, the bartender staff is friendly and well learned. This is the answer for going out to dinner.... Do it now!

Rasa Pokvytyte

Chilli lobster was like heaven. But the filet mignon steak vas bland, chimichurri sauce absolutely bland not even close how it should taste. So everything not even worth 50 bucks. Desserts stuffed dougnuts and cheese cake was good. Service was really good, sometimes as little to much attention. Its not necessary to come every 5 min and ask is everything ok :D The restaurant by itself making it really crowded and very noisy. So in total bill almost 200 bucks. I would say not worth. I would come back there for chilli lobster but for steak for sure no...

Adit Desai

Food and wine selection are great. Get the porterhouse for 2 with the baked potato side

Brooke Young

Very solid effort from the Burger Bar at American Cut. I had the American Cut Burger with bacon, which is their base model and a staple on the menu. A little small, and possibly a tad salty -- but overall an exceptional burger. I also LOVE the idea that they have a daily burger -- brilliant. Fries were a little uninspiring. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and the place is VERY cool. Highly recommended.

Jesse Campo

They have pretty good happy hour deals.

Wade Guenther

Amazing steak. Great cocktails. Great service. Their side specialty is the mammoth honey glazed carrot. It was amazing.

Dasha

Amazing restaurant, amazing food, amazing service, great ambiance !

Chris Long

Was really good but they got the doness wrong, ordered MR but got My, and my guest ordered M and got Rare. Overall was decent dining in NYC.

Mark Thompson

Outstanding steakhouse in trendy Tribeca, with surprisingly good seafood. Service is impeccable. The smoky old fashioneds are a house favorite and and an absolute must.

Kenneth Campo

Great food, excellent service in a proper setting that I look forward to go back to soon.

JN Five

Great steak, great service, great atmosphere. A nice place for an outing or a date.

Jim Sehr

Excellent steak, service!

I

Swanky, loud and dark. Really enjoyed the Tomahawk. Hope to be back again soon.

David Bernacchia

Great venue to go and get a drink, as well as having a private party in the private rooms, dinner, company party's and dinners. Overall it's just the place you want to be in new York city, the staff are super warm and welcoming. Ask for the manager Ennio Ciminelli that with his superb preparation in food and beverage will guide you trough the experience of his restaurant.

Rodrigo Diaz

Too slow quality of food not related whit the price not good

Gianni Petrella

High quality steak house with good sides. Service could be a touch better.

David Abbatematteo

I went her for a business dinner. Good steak house. I had the bacon it was good. Thick cut. There was a seafood tower that was good too. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came as advertised. Cheesecake dessert was good too.. Service was good too.

Rocky Mazzaferro

Go for the lobster chili, stay for the lobster chili! Great food, service, and atmosphere.

Rachel Wright

Food was delicious although for the prices frankly I would expect nothing less. My party arrived at about 5:30 and they were already out of a number of menu items including the best steak cuts. Service was responsive but a bit brusque and really pushy for us to order quickly (there were empty tables all around, so our table was not in high demand).

Jennifer

Went here for my 5 year anniversary and it was amazing, the staff was really sweet and the food was amazing! The steak was phenomenal ! Definitely recommend

Michael Wright

Outstanding all the way around. The food and service was excellent.

Rainer Perkons

Smokey old fashion a must. Porterhouse for 2 awesome

Dario Gatta

Really solid seafood startes, great wine from a knowledgeable attendant and super solid steaks.

Paul Heckman

A high end steakhouse that plays Zeppelin. Enough said. Forgione is a master. Get the burger and the old fashioned and hang at the bar with the cool kids

Ryan Verdugo

Fantastic service, drinks and food.

Andy Crain

One of the best steakhouses in the city. A nice selection of steaks and complimentary dishes. The lobster chili is definitely worth the price tag - you won't be disappointed!

Marvin Wörth

Top-notch steak and service

Nathan Harbison

Jared our waiter did a great job and was very personable and very knowledgeable about the food. The Mac and Cheeese was to die for, the potatoes were excellent as well, but and I do mean BUT was the Waygu A5 steaks my steak cost approximately $200.00 my wife’s was $150.00 and we were fine with the price a great A5 is well worth that. BUT the quality was by far the worst steak I have ever eaten it was literally terrible. It was not the seasoning it was I have never had that much gristle on any steak much less an A5. We both paid for it the next day. This was unfortunate especially when we had specifically chosen this restaurant solely due to this steak being available and for it to ruin such a special anniversary when it should have been one of the very best steaks we could have ever eaten is unbelievable. Hopefully this saves someone else from making the mistake I did.

Rafael Calderon

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the American cut tribeca last Saturday. When we arrived the hostess congratulated us on our anniversary and so did our waiter. The waiter also greeted us with complimentary glasses of champagne. The menu was excellent and it was difficult to choose. Our waiter took care of everything and we ate so much that I couldn’t finish my dessert. The food and drinks were fantastic and only came a close second to the service we received. I highly recommended this restaurant. They went above and beyond to make us happy and we reall appreciate it.

David Chin

"Where the pretty people eat meat"... This was a quote by a coworker who came here and highly recommended the pastrami ribeye. Wednesday Night, guy outing, no reso..walk-in @ 8:30 asked hostess if table for 6 was available. Luckily yes with a 10 min wait @ bar. Bar seating area had lots of lovely ladies, assumed it was ladies night. No Beer served only cocktail and wine. Seated, asked server if we could do the burger in the dining room as 2 guys were bloated from happy hour earlier. They were able to accommodate our request. There was a $16 piece of bacon on the menu that sounded very interesting but no one wanted to give it a go. I ordered the Pastrami Ribeye and it did not disappoint. Very tasty, very unique and flavorful. Porterhouse for 2 was prepared table side and the comments were very good but they were expecting amazing. The Bone-in Rib Eye was devoured in 10 bites or 4 mins so I assumed it was pretty good as well. The service was very good and attentive and the space was lively. There were a lot of pretty people eating meat so the quote fits.

Steven Gildin

No better than mediocre food at top end prices. Skip it .

Miles Holman

Had a private party in the downstairs area with some co workers. By far the best bar food I've ever had in my life. Would go again.

Paxan X

This is one of those places that is worth the money because of the experience. The food is delish but the wait staff is out of this world.

red Mac

Best steak, service and experience we’ve ever had

Amel Whiteside

Beautiful place and I loved the old school decor. It was very classy and sophisticated. The staff were lovely and made the experience even better. I went for restaurant week and had a lovely steak. The Jim Brandy oysters were delicious. I love oysters when they are done right, and here they were tasty with a creamy sauce which was broiled and it complemented the oyster nicely. The dessert was also delicious, had the candy bar cake. The only negative thing I would say, is that its expensive for my regular budget, but its a classy experience so definitely recommend it for restaurant week or special occasion.

Matt Righter

Best restaurant week menu I have seen so far. Food was awesome and the hanger steak was legit. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat a steak, I'll be back. $, not bad at all...super reasonable.

Diane NYC

Swanky stylish Steakhouse. Food was excellent for the most part. Aside from the steak which you know the ounces of in advance, portions are on the small side. They don't open your wine tableside, odd!

Terecille Basa-Ong

Great dining experience!

Ben Sadgrove

Place is not what it was, still good meat but dont charge $65 for a steak with no aircon and old chairs

Barbi Mascia

Best steak in town

Gregory Drinkwater

Excellent service. Food was amazing. Casual dress code. Definitely make a reservation.

James Crompton

I have dreams of this place... tomahawk steak cooked in its own fat with rye and then covered in butter?

J Dent

Ennio runs a world class establishment and Andrew provides the type of experience that you expect from such a great restaurant. Big thanks to both of these gentlemen!

Dario Kent

Awesome place to get some food when in a hurry. The customer service is quick, rates are affordable, awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.

D. Michael Hicks

This is a excellent restaurant. For sure a “cut” above. Sorry, I had to. All kidding aside chilly lobster dish is incredible. Eat here.

Toma Tolisano

Great place, our waiter made all the difference, definitely knew how to read the crowd

Ryan Jerchau

Great burgers and the smoked Manhattan was well balanced.

Jerrier Atassi

Totally amazing. A must visit venue.

Asad Choudhry

Kind of loud for a place that's sort of overpriced but good food nevertheless

Mary Beth Dawson

Great steaks, excellent wine list, cool atmosphere, good service

Arron Miller

Great service, great atmosphere, great food. We arrived slightly earlier than our reservation time and was seated without issue. Our server ran us through the menu and drinks. Service was quick and complete. Could not have had a better experience at the Tribeca location. Highly recommend the Old Fashioned.

Ros B

I went here for restaurant week and while I thought the food was pretty good, I am not sure it would be worth going for the more expensive full menu. I got the filet mignon for my main entree and while it was good, I wouldn't say it was far above other (less prestigious) steakhouses I've been to. The stuff that came with the steak was actually more impressive. Their homemade "hashbrown" was actually phenomenal. It might be silly to say but I almost enjoyed it more than the steak. Likewise their cracker jack sundae was really good. In terms of decor, it's pretty dimly lit. Comfortable, but don't expect to be able to see the faces of whoever you are with. It's has definitely more of a dress-up, intimate vibe. Whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you and what kind of experience you're looking for. For me, I don't really mind but it was also a little too dark.

Julie Xiao

I had a lovely experience at American Cut. The service was very attentive and they really go out of their way to make your dining experience great. Our waiter gave us great suggestions about what food to order. We got 2 steaks and they were cooked perfectly. I wouldn't recommend the twice baked potato side just because it's very dry and hard on the outside since it's been sitting around. Everything else was great though!

Justice Pennington

The food is always well prepared and flavorful, workers gives fantastic customer service. I really like how clean it is and vibes. Keep up the good work.

Konner Copeland

Exceptional food, friendly employees, regularly fantastic ambience. They charge affordable pricing and the food quality is good. Fantastic work.

Andy Ng

Wonderful dinner experience set in a lively ambience -- even on a weeknight. Beautiful modern yet stylized decor with bar and lounge at the front, and separate dining spaces adjacent. Impeccable service and dishes are perfectly prepared. One small criticism is the worn out (leather) furniture and water leakage in the restrooms.

PeterJ Romano

Incedible food and superb attentive service by Jarrod. Recommendations he offered were spot on. Amazing meat and even the sides were delicious! Our group of 6 loved the Chili Lobster appetizer, try it!!

Laura Schoenmakers

Amazing steak and the sides are incredible! Very heavy though, so make sure you are hungry when you come here. Very kind waiters and beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend it.

john darby

Modern space with a cool vibe. Great steak as you'd expect and haven't been disappointed on what we have selected. If splurging on a special event the cowboy steak a nice treat. Service friendly and on the spot. A good choice of the many good options in the area.

Yoko Gibo

They have a variety of appetizer menu other than steak which is nice. It’d be ideal for a group so you can share and enjoy different things. Great service, great location.

Mark Triandafillou

Fantastic steaks, a robust wine list, and great service. For a short time they had a "burger bar" for lunch which served amazing burgers. However they no longer offer that service.

Corey Allert

Solid steak and sides, but the Smoked old fashioned is great

Ravindran Padmanabhan

Stakes and desserts are amazing, we had our office party.

Gabriel Goncalves

Service was really bad. It took longer than it needed for the waiter to get our order. Then we waited for almost one hour for the main course to be served. When the food came, they were missing the sauce on my stake and the spinach. We notified our waiter and the manager several times. They said they notified the kitchen, but nothing came from the kitchen. It was already late, so they were not that busy. Finally the spinach was served together with the desert. For a high-end restaurant, this experience is not acceptable.

Britaniya Stuart

Excellent appetizers, entrees, and dessert. The bacon was good. It actually tastes a bit different from the bacon that I've tried at other steakhouses. Typically the bacon has a sausage quality to it, but this bacon tasted more like un-pulled pork. Very good, but different. I typically don't enjoy steak, but I liked the hangar steak served here. The popcorn and ice cream dessert was surprisingly good. I wouldn't think popcorn goes with ice cream, but it was perfect.

Pierre Williams

Pricey, but the food is delicious. Try their wagyu need sliders or the (secret menu) burger. Go during happy hour if you want to cut down on the prices, or simply plan ahead before going so that you and your group can enjoy the full price dinner menu.

James Blackmon

I love steakhouses and this one is just fabulous place for steaks and Drinks were awesome too.I had visited this place three times and every time my experience was superb and I exceedingly prescribe you to visit this spot at whatever point you need to eat steaks.

Nick Macrae

Decent service, with really great food. We had a bunch of appetizers which were solid, but the real winners here are the Porterhouse, Bone-in Ribeye, and Bone-in strip. I prefer the old school vibes of Peter Lugar's, but this place is still very nice!

Tim Henion

One of the best date nights I've been on. Our waiter, Jared, was incredible. The Ambiance, the food, the hospitality was out of this world. I recommend the Smoked Old Fashion and the Chili Lobster. You won't go wrong! I will definitely be going again.

Jay Bangash

My favorite steakhouse in NYC. Aside from the food being superb, the service equals that of any fine dining establishment in the city- quite the opposite of most “bare bone service” steakhouses in the city. Tomahawk chop (for 2) is fantastic.

Rippy Roo

Maybe if the so-called chefs knew how to cook the food would be better.

Elizabeth Elliott

Just meh food, meh service. I don't know why this place is so highly rated tbh

Greg Whipple

Excellent upscale modern NYC steakhouse. Restaurant week specials were excellent. Great staff. Get the smoked old fashioned won't disappoint

Tracie Hedges

A great restaurant with a good selection.

Thomas Luby

I have to say I'm disappointed with my experience. The Cesar salad was great but when I was only halfway done with it they brought the steaks out. I was told a story about them shutting down that room for an event or something like that. Something I should have been informed about before ordering. Server presented steak sauce that tasted like BBQ sauce. Steak was well cooked and tender but when you offer a lot of butters and sauces with your steak it tells me that flavor is lacking by default.

Samantha Graw

They lost our reservation, but I still give 5 stars, because 1) the food is amazing and 2) they made up for it in free drinks and food. They went above and beyond to provide us with a positive experience. Definitely going back.

Eric Bomze

Dark and masculine room, definitely testosterone fueled after work. Good happy hour wines and snacks. Have not had dinner here, just ate at bar. Good burger.

Cheiku Camara

Best Old Fashion in the city.

Bill Smith

Great service, very attentive. Excellent food. Wait staff made us feel very welcome and special.

Brian Binder

Really great high-end steakhouse. Food was excellent. Don't fill up on the apps. They are great but save room for your steak or entree. Service is fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a special place to go.

Tom Kirwan

The atmosphere is very upscale, matching the impeccable service you are provided with. Prices are what they are, but the food is great. My only gripe is the wine is bottle only, and the sides are smaller than expected. However, I enjoyed my time there.

Andrea Barone

Marc Forgione's American Cut steak house has been on my list for awhile now. Finally was able to spend some time there with a friend from Boston. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 2 for the food. The service was a 10. Food not so much, was pretty surprised how unappetizing the food actually was. The charred octopus ( drowned in barbecue sauce?) Why would anyone prepare such a delicacy ( octopus should of been charred with a bit of good EVVO to bring out the tenderness and delicate flavor, but instead all we could taste was a BBQ sauce that overwhelmed the dish.) Onto the Caesar salad ( drowning in dressing). The cauliflower "side" dish was terrible. Again so over sauced of bits and pieces of cauliflower we had to pick out of the dish the few large cauliflower pieces to eat the few we could actually enjoy. The Tomahawk steak $130 REALLY.?.....I was very excited to try this wonderful offer of meat. NOT worth the price, meat wasn't as rare as asked for and ends were dry! I really wanted to like this place, I have a ton of respect for Marc Forgione and what he has achieved, but to be honest from my perspective and being in the culinary world for over 40+ years a big disappointment....

Antonio Salamanca

One of the Best steak houses in NYC

Joe Platz

Amazing steak, great atmosphere, excellent drinks

ADVERSARY NEMESIS

This is how steak is made!!! A huge fan!! Amazing!!! And the staff are so friendly!!!

Mac A

I really, really enjoyed this place! The filet was so tender and flavorful, it was awesome. It did seem a bit small, but that could just be because I was hungry, and so eager to take another bite. I also tried a bite of the tuna which was also very good. My favorite part of the meal, though, was the twice baked potatoes. These were amazing, and I definitely recommend them to anyone who enjoys a good potato every now and then. The ambiance was great, the place was busy but somehow kept a somewhat private feel to it. The service was good, but could have been a touch quicker. Other than that, I definitely would recommend this place to anyone into steak or fish! I ended up going back to American Cut, this time with my family. It actually surpassed my previous experience! Our server, Dave, was excellent, and the food came out incrementally which was nice. For starters we had the Caesar salad, and I think it might have been the best one I’ve had in the city so far. I tried the bone-in strip steak, and I was thoroughly impressed. I had the twice baked potatoes, Chef Dan’s potatoes and the spinach. I would definitely recommend all of them to anyone as a side option. I tasted the chocolate cake, the sorbet and the doughnuts for dessert, and each was really good. All in all, it was a great meal, as well as a great experience.

Ina Lionsden

Wish I could recommend this place, because the food is quite good. Unfortunately our experience was mostly ruined by the service. We had a table for 12 people for a bachelor party dinner. Due to travel issues, 6 of the people were not able to make it. We had a $1,500 minimum spend and when we asked if there was anything they could do to lower it, the manager was insistent that we were stuck with the total spend, which equated to $320 per person. Then when we are seated, the service staff push fancy water bottles on us. After the first 2, I ask if they can only give us tap water going forward. When the bill came, I was shocked to see they charged us for 6 water bottles for a total of $60. When you are dropping over $2,400 on a dinner for 6 people, it is disappointing to see the restaurant try to nickel and dime you for something as trivial and universal as water. Then the general manager comes over to suggest a wine. We ask for the sommollier and the general manager reacts defensively and says he is certified and that the somm would be by later. We felt like the staff tried to push a specific wine on us instead of presenting multiple options. The bachelor whose upcoming wedding we were celebrating tastes the wine and doesn't say anything for a long time (he didn't like it). Usually this would be a prompt to offer alternatives, but the staff did not do so. Pretty surprising for a $200 bottle of wine. When we were putting in orders, we originally just wanted to order the appetizers and order the entrees later to space it out, but the waiter pressured us to order entrees as well. We made it clear that we wanted to have time to savor the appetizers and the waiter said he would space it out. Then, when we were halfway through the appetizers, the wait staff tried to pressure us to take the appetizers and told us the steaks were coming out momentarily. The waiter said he would take care of it, but when the steaks came out they had clearly been kept under a heat lamp. Again, when you are paying over $400 a person, you want to have the steaks fresh off the grill (I can taste the difference) and not have to feel rushed. They did throw in a key lime pie on the house, but when we are dropping $400 a person, that seemed like a small gesture. Overall the food was good and the ambience is great, but this experience was spoiled by the service. I would expect more at this price point and I would recommend that NY's upper crust look elsewhere.

Eric Jordan Nussbaum

Hands down one of the best Restaurants in all of NYC. And arguably one of the best all around Steakhouses. Marc Forgione is a culinary genius and a Master of his craft.

Shane Kelly

Great ambiance and amazing food. Will definitely visit here again when I return to NYC.

Christopher Ord

The best ribeye I have ever had, complemented by the spinach. The service was top notch.

Hanomag Shadowfeet

Overpriced, terrible service. Unimpressive.

CIRCUIT TREE

this place did not disappoint at all.

Matt Weth

The burger is amazing. Do yourself a favor and just order the burger. It'll come out medium rare with cheese, some onions, and about three French fries. Thank the gods and dig in.

Rachel Laclair

David and all the wait staff are top notch, but food may even be better!!!

Dawn McIntosh

Excellent cuts..fabulous atmosphere for a great night out!

long bride

During Restaurant Week this past summer I came to American Cut and it was one of my favorite meals of the summer. One of Marc Forgione's restaurants, I really want to try the burger at the bar sometime. The space is very sleek and kind of art-deco, a little too dark in my opinion but still a very nice restaurant.

Tameka Moore

Awesome date night experience! Hospitality was remarkable, drinks were great and creative. And the food was cooked with love, would definitely go back.

Vinnie Rodriguez

I'm vegan but went for my meat eater friend. They were able to accommodate and knew exactly what I wanted. Best cauliflower I have ever tasted, good sized meal. Customer service was spectacular. Very professional

Betsy Weiser

The service was excellent but the food was fairly mediocre especially given the price. The caesar salad was watery and mushy. The steak and french fries were lukewarm at best. The best part of the meal were the rolls and herb butter. It's hard for my family to leave a steak house disappointed, but we did from this one.

Christopher Klug

The venue is superb. However the food quality was medium at best, especially considering the prices.

Paul L

Exceptional dining experience. Host was very accommodating to switch our table upon request. Servers were very friendly, knowledgeable and engaging in all important aspects from presenting suggesting cocktails, describing their signature specials, and wines accompaniment. Food was delicious beginning with ‘everything biscuit’, baked goat cheese salad, scallops and of course delicious steak entrees. Passion fruit sorbet and s’mores brownies were amazing. General Manager Johnnie stopped by and shared history of the restaurant and Inspiration/affiliation with Chef Marc Firgione. Highest recommendation!!!

Benjamin Anderson

Nice bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Lis

This was one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered surf n turf - Chili Lobster over the Rib Eye. I don't even really like steak, but my meal was amazing. Also, the bread served before the meal was so good! I also enjoyed the twice baked potato.

B. Joseph

I’ve visited American Cut twice before with friends, and had a great time. As I’m sure most people suggest – get the chili lobster. This time, I decided to check it out during New York City Restaurant Week. The discounted menu did not disappoint -- the filet mignon was cooked perfectly, the macaroni and cheese was excellent, and I couldn’t get enough of the kampachi tartare.

Frank Luo

Really tasty food

Ali Ibrahim

Very snooty place and not worth the price. Steak for 4 and beers cost us $600. Thee are much cooler steak places in this city that won't cost you half that much.

Saly Konneh

This year i wanted to spend my Birthday in NYC and have a nice dinner at a nice restaurant with my friends. Looked up few restaurant and American Cut stood out to me the most, so I made a reservation and all I have to say is that I made a great choice. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out nothing, but professionalism from the hostess to our server to bussers. We had a great experience, the food was beyond tasting and we just had so much fun....great time. Im so glad I chose American Cut for my Birthday dinner party, so thanks American Cut for making my 27th Birthday a memorable one.

Usama Jawed

I probably had my best steak at this place. Drinks were awesome too.

Erik Palma

Great steakhouse experience but the famous tomahawk chop was not seasoned enough. It was a beautiful cut of meat and cooked to perfection but my friend and I had to ask for salt. I've been to dozens of steakhouses and that was a first. I don't think it had been salted at all and was oddly flavorless.

Vanessa Didier

Nice ambiance. The service was great, the busser and server were phenomenal. The food: I visited during restaurant week so I don't want to jump the gun with my review. I ordered the Cesar salad as my appetizer, the salmon and collard kale as my entree and the sorbet for dessert. The dessert was the best part of my dinner. I didn't expect the taste of squeezed lemon on my cesar salad and the salmon was ok. I know most people don't go to a steakhouse and order salmon, but I do and have had the best tasting salmon from one of them(Smith&Wolensky).

Scott Gross

Before you decide to frequent the restaurant, you must realize that the wines are vastly overpriced. The food, however, was top notch. The service was top notch. Was it pricey? Yes. But for the special steak dinner this place should be at the top of your list.

Chris Zema

Good service. The meat was as expected, awesome. But when you put a name on the place and you put so much attention into the meat, why are the sides so bad? Mashed potatoes were dry and sticky. Greens were too oily. The rest of the sides we had (others in my party) were bland.

Jennie Nedza

Never had such a beautifully presented salad in my life. The food was delicious.

bad0seed

It's better than the reviews and menu process make it seem.

Joseph Artuso

Excellent food and service in a beautiful setting. Our waiter Nermal went out of his way to create a special experience for my son's birthday. We had the tomohawk chop for two, chilli lobster (amazing) The shrimp cocktail was cooked perfectly. Terrific cocktails and even a tour of the kitchen, as my son is culinary student. For dessert we chose the creme brulee which was delicious, and cooked perfectly. Our waiter also presented my son with a slice of chocolate layer cake with a birthday candle. The cake had a wonderful deep chocolate flavor and a rich but not overly filling or overly sweet. A very enjoyable evening.

David Jones

Top notch service and food.

We tried this place one night and were so impressed we cancelled reservations at another restaurant and came back the next night! The food is amazing and the service was top notch!! Jared was our waiter and we loved him!! He went above and beyond and our whole family just had a fun time with him! This is a must try in NY. We will be back for sure!

Everything about American Cut was great! The waitstaff was amazing. The food was out of this world!! If you go you Must, MUST have the crackerjack sundae. It was all kinds of wonderful. I would go back just to have this dessert!

Now open for lunch! All the burgers are great. If you're not counting calories or worrying about your cholesterol levels, then this place hits it out of the park.

Jimena García

Very nice ambient and entrances. The music was good and the service very good.

Michael Cochran

Very good service, comfortable atmosphere, food was prepared as expected, it is what you expect it to be, don't create false expectations and you will be happy.

Meagan Loo

I love steakhouses and this is hands down one of the better ones. Our waiter (Buck) was amazing and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I came for restaurant week but will definitely be coming back!!!

Always a perfectly cooked piece of meat. Make sure to get all the sauces and whatever the special is because it's going to be amazing. Service is 10/10.

Andrea Blevins

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We will be going back!

Franco Indomenico

Wow what can I say one of the best bone in ribeye I have ever had and the chilli Lobster wow. The service is incredible

Roman Bediner

Hands down, share the tomahawk! Presentation with fire at the table. Not your traditional joint where staff thinks they're doing you a favor. Great service. Great food. Great vibe. Wine list with an option for everyone. Make a reservation. Try the caramekized carrot as a side dish - it's an eye candy.

Good spot. Considering we we're 8 people, the service was great and staff was super polite, helpful and friendly. Food was amazing

This is strictly a review of this trip, I've been here plenty in the last, always had a great meal. Something about tonight left me not wanting to come back. First let's start with the most and only important thing, steak. 28 day dry ager ribeye tasted like a normal ribeye not dry aged. No dry aged flavor at all, not even a hint of it, not even near the bone where the dry age usually comes out the strongest. Truly disappointing because I've eaten here in the past and it was much better, at least it was cooked correctly. The other nuisances are minor hit this steakhouse has to do only one thing right and it's steak.

I am an avid foodie and I go to restaurants in tribecT all the time. I have been to numerous steak houses across the country and this by far was the worst one in terms of service. First and foremost there was no point in them booking reservations because they were an hour and a half behind on a Saturday night and there was not enough staff on shift. The bar only had one bartender and it must have been her first time behind the bar alone because she was horrendous. For the money you are going to spend it was not worth it at all I don't care how decent the food was because by the time I received it I was so irritated by everything else I didn't care.

Phenomenal food. Wonderful service.

Christine Matakovich

This resturant is excellent! Worth the price...

Manuel Tchagatzbanian

Great spot, awesome service, food is pretty good, but price doesn't match quality. The best thing on the menu was easily the chili lobster. They actually cook the lobster better than the steak.

Michael McInerney

I know this is a steak place but if you come here you have to get the pretzel with a smokey old fashioned. Delicious and you'll feel good with two.

Massi Catizone

Loved it. First time I have had bone marrow at a restaurant. Very well done. Food was exquisite. Service spot on and personable. Dessert out of this world.

Tenderloin tip was dry. Asked for Medium well. Was pretty well done. The hash brown was ok. Was not impressed. Maybe because it was restaurant week they were servicing mediocre food. Not sure. It was warm as well in the restaurant it's self. The AC is not working. The seats are comfortable but very worn/torn. It's a pretty space. But wasn't impressed

Slow service. Food was ok at best. Their ny cut signature steak was unseasoned and over smoked. First time for rare came out medium. Restaurant tried to compensate with elaborate table side service tricks. Much better options are nearby

First time at a steakhouse in NY and this place was amazing, from the staff, drinks and the steaks. Tried the Mac and cheese and the tomahawk chop, which was cooked to perfection! The presentation was also amazing.

Emily tracy

Dark atmosphere but not sexy just dim. Happy hour is weak and food was just ok.

Jeffrey Piermont

The "New York City Steak" is the best steak in the city. It is cooked with special spices and flavors. The service is perfect. This restaurant stands above the rest in this crowed city of restaurants.

Jason Middlebrooks Shapiro

This is the steakhouse where steakhouse aficionados take their friends to impress them of their culinary prowess. Prices are not cheap. Highly recommended.

Laura Parker

Great ambiance, servce and food.

Excellent service, friendly knowledgeable staff, and the food, speaks for itself.
