BEST BOOZY BRUNCH IN NYC!

Nez Cates

Service and food were great. Easy on your pockets too. We had a 35.00 brunch which included 2 hours of unlimited mimosas or frozen margaritas. I didnt like their version of mimosas, however, the frozen margaritas were AMAZING and totally sneak up on you! Lol

After being open for three weeks and a few attempts to get someone to pay attention to us in the past we decided to try again. after waiting for someone to recognize we were waiting for service finally got showed to our table with menus. After 10 mins waiting for the waiter to acknowledge us he finally did only after we had to hail him like a cab at 4pm on a rainy Wednesday; he told us that nothing on the menu was available only 5 dishes were available, which were basic dishes you can find at taco bell. We didn't eat or drink simply got up and left so I cant comment on what was probably mediocre food. I would show you pics but I feel like you are not interested in pics of an empty table.

Great food, bad service. The hostess placed us in the corner, saying that all other tables had reservations coming soon (the restaurant was completely empty). We left 2 hours later, with none of the seats the hostess mention filled. Great food, but treated badly. We’re a young couple on our weekly date, maybe takeout next time.

Sean A. Maguire

Amazing food for great prices but it was very clear they were hurrying us along so they could get more business

I have only been here for brunch and it was good. The Sunrise Fiesta Burrito is tasty and filling. It is nothing extraordinary...but it is certainly hits the spot. But who are we kidding??? You come here for the best bottomless mimosas in town. My friend had the margarita option...but I could not move on from the mimosas because they were just so darn good. And COLD!!! Sometimes with bottomless brunches the drinks are never chilled enough. Not here...each one served was chilled to perfection and my flute never ran dry...even though they were mad house busy!!! For this reason alone...get here as soon as you can!!!

As someone who only reviews places when I'm giving 5 stars, I feel it is my duty to post about the sub-par experience I had at this restaurant. I've been here before multiple times and had a good time with good food, but I had an abysmal experience with our server and manager for brunch. We came for brunch and did the $35 pre-fixe with drinks. Our server sat the table before our reservation started and before everyone had arrived despite the attendees asking for them to wait until the table had arrived. Upon sitting before our reservation time, the window of our ability to order drinks had begun and was misrepresented multiple times by the server. At the end of the time window, the server refused to honor the full time of our reservation (based on the early seating of the time window) and would not refill our drinks. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager also defended the policy to not honor the full 2 hour window. When told we were sat before our reservation and full party arrival, the manager did not apologize for the poor customer service but rather said "I will talk to the server". In summary, decent food, adequate drinks, poor customer experience and abysmal customer service.

This was good Cuhautemoch at a little bistro in New York City

1 Entree + Bottomless Mimosa ;)

Awesome delicious foods restaurants Amazing drinks delicious

RONNIE HORTON

Food was good and the brunch drinks were plentiful!!!!

Masha Mezenina

We had an awesome time here at brunch! The bottomless menu is great, and the food was delicious! Such fresh guacamole! We also got to sit on the patio which was nice, and even next to a busy street it was clean and relaxing. When it started raining the servers had a table ready for us inside and helped bring everything in. Staff is great and quick! My mimosa was never empty ;) Docked one star because I think management should invest in a new POS system. Helping our table split the bill took 20 minutes of my time, and with a newer system this could have taken 1 minute. It also seems to slow down the servers because none of the cards go through until you swipe them 4 times.

I went to Agave for brunch on a Saturday and was impressed by the experience. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and constantly checked on our table for drink refills. Our waiter Lea went above and beyond! The food was delicious, I will definitely be back.

Scott Johnson

Extremely loud music and relatively pricey for Mexican restaurant serving standard fare. If you're pre-partying / celebrating a bday, maybe this place is for you. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend

Micah McDonald

Love this spot for brunch. $50 for bottomless with an awesome entree. Bottomless margaritas, mimosas, or wine.

Metehan Akdag

This place is awesome!! Great drinks and brunch. Chettin (bartender) is a great, funny, and social guy. What an experience. Can’t wait to be back.

David Clift

Went for 2 drinks and sat across the bar by window. Was popular place

Nicholas Papillo

Solid brunch spot, but there are definitely better spots in the area. Try to get one of the tables up in the front for that best experience.

Paul A. Dacis

Nice lol brunch spot. Bottomless mimosas, margaritas and wine. Food was really good too

Robert Finez

Awesome place! Great food and service.

brian bt

Was not as enjoyable as the first time I went. The bartender seemed to be having a bad night. She kept forgetting what drinks we asked for (there was nobody else ordering drinks, btw), then she kept dropping them while making them. When we realized we had been waiting a long time for our food, it turned out she had never even put in the order.

Bethany

Came here as a surprise for my mums birthday. Did the Brunch menu and booked for 11.30am. Was amazing food, all four of us enjoyed, the waiter we had was also great and kept topping our drinks up without us having to ask. Would reccomend this place highly.

Noel Laurente

We were driving from NJ and was able to park in front of the restaurant since it was Sunday brunch. Some customers arrived 5-10 minutes before 11, their opening time, was not let in even it was raining, they just stand outside the door. The food was so, so.

Anthony LoFrisco Jr

Good food but the service was simply not there. We had to flail our arms to get a drink and same thing after waiting 20 mins to order dinner. Also, check your bill. Order a margarita on the rocks and it's two bucks more than no rocks, not stated on the menu. Seems like a sneaky rip off tactic.

Ms. Vee

Thee Service was horrible I ordered a chicken quesadilla and the corn my corn was burnt dry and literally had a Sprinkle, a Sprinkle of Parmesan. The quesadilla what's dry like as if they let it sit because the cheese what's hard they gave me a spoonful a sour cream and threw some tomatoes next to it. I had to wait 15 minutes for some extra sour cream. Then another 20 minutes for more parmesan, just to be told there is no more parmesanwhile he giggled like it was hilarious the two young male Waiters just thought it was hilarious to watch us not enjoy our food. They didn't seem concerned whatsoever. they were extremely rude . They ruin my evening because I spent it throwing up the rest of the evening those two young male waiters that we're working on Gay Pride we're horrible I worked in a Mexican restaurant before I know how the food should be presented and that was the worst experience ever the only reason I gave them one star is because I couldn't give them a zero

Elizabeth Casanova

Food was okay, drinks was lit, servers were around constantly BUT the maintenance staff was horrendously unprofessional. My friend and some other lady was in the bathroom and I was luckily waiting outside. One of the maintenance crew went into the bathroom despite the fact that he was told women were inside! Me and some other girl had yanked him out. He tried to LOOK IN THE STALL TO VERIFY IF WE WERE TELLING THE TRUTH!!!

Avis Medlock

Nice place, great music, food was good. Excited to try their brunch one day. Went on the coldest day of the year but their heat works perfectly so we didn't even realize how cold it was until the door was open

Ant Oine

Was going because of recommendations so few things to know for the brunch in that place. Most people goes for boozy brunch and so it’s an atmosphere of drunk people yelling on weekend. The room inside had no air so it was very warm. The food was good and arrive surprisingly fast for the amount of people in there. The noise level was so high it was difficult to hear anyone on the other side of my table. Overall i would say if you go for a chill brunch with friend avoid but if you are going to get drunk on a good boozy brunch it’s the place to go.

Stephen Zubrycky

Came for bottomless brunch (which they have on weekdays!!!) Steak and eggs was well worth the extra $4, and my friends’ omelettes were all great. Quick and friendly service. An all around wonderful time

Gavin E. Thomas

A great bottomless brunch spot with good service. Decor is starting to date.

Tamara S

Happy hour- prickly pear margarita & tacos, so fire!!!

Urvashi Sharma

They have great food and great service. Absolutely worth a visit!

Trevor

Fun place with good food and generous drinks.

Sarah

The margaritas are pre-made...and just simply put - bad.

Daniela Martinez

Great service and the foods was good

Tim Higgins

My wife and I went to Agave Friday evening for drinks and an early dinner. It took 10 minutes for the hostess to seat us even, though there were only 4 tables with people on the outdoor patio. Took about 15 to place order with the only waitress serving the patio. Margaritas were half price forHappy Hour, which was good because they were watered down and very weak. Other than the guacamole the chicken tacos and fajitas were devoid of flavor. No chips on table. Bus staff terrible and inattentive. No napkins or utensils as people were being served, reaching in to take glasses and plates without asking if people were done, more interested in talking with each other than serving customers. Terrible experience. Rio Grande much, much better.

Jennifer Gladkowski

The bartender went out of her way to attend to us. Our taco order was wrong but they were still good & the margaritas are delicious.

Luis Rodriguez

Food portions could be bigger, but great flavor and drinks

Gregory Robertson

Excellent place for happy hour. Frozen margaritas can't be beat. Outdoor seating is a perfect place for people watching. Inside decor is a little drab and depressing . The tacos are tasty but tiny

Frank Parisi

Went here for a birthday brunch for my friend and everything was incredible. I wish I could remember the server's name but unfortunately I came a little late but he was one of the best service I've ever had. As someone who is in the industry and has been for 15 years I'm extremely critical when I go out to eat and I have no complaints at all. The prickly pear Margarita or whatever it was was phenomenal

Jonathan Pena

I've been waiting to while for this place to finally show up on Google maps. Went to agave last weekend during their opening weekend all I can say is wow what an experience. First off the location was so new there was no other way to find it except Through their online site. We were a group of 8 people for brunch , expecting to enjoy a nice 2 hour brunch. Had to wait 30 minutes to receive our reserved table because they were all backed up on their orders. We finally sit and don't receive a waitress until 30 mins after sitting down. We finally place our order for bottomless drinks and wait another 30 mins to receive our first round. We immediately understood it would go down hill from here so we ordered our food immediately after our first round of drinks an hour into waiting for them. Food doesn't show up in the next hour and everyone is complaining including the tables around us. As we continue to Starve, We notice some one from another table heads over to sticky joints for some food. Seeing as we were hungry, we did the same; ordered fried chicken and brought it back to our table at agave. We continued to drink then finally after hour 4 we got our food. By this point I was hungry again and happy to finally have my burrito, which was amazing! However someone else had hair on their plate. I gave them 3 stars because I know it was opening weekend and they were very understanding about the situation. They gave us the meal + drinks for free. Making the situation slightly better. My final thoughts: Avoid this spot for now as they continue to improve their kitchen/backend issues. No doubt in my mind, they will eventually be as good as the agave located in Christopher street.

Camille Ward

Great brunch spot.

Romir Antonio Robles Yepez

Great ambiance. Good attention and good food.

Jorge Sandoval

Made a reservation for brunch for a Sunday at 2. Went in and had some people show up late (

Robert Liberatoscioli

Went to the 33rd and 3rd Street location. Absolutely horrible. Bottomless drinks watered down to an extreme, food quality was horrendous. Not worth going to. AVOID

Ryan Donald

Loved their lobster Benedict, my first ever Benedict and I could not be happier. I enjoyed their bottomless brunch. The drinks did keep flowing. I would recommend reservations.

Chigozie Mbamalu

Good vibes and consistent service all the way through.

Gloria Pacheco

I went here with my girls for brunch last week and I can tell you that this place is the BOMB! the people here are nice and attentive. The drinks are PHENOMENAL!! The food was good enough to share especially the NACHOS . LOVE IT. We will go back again. Pablo was easy on the eyes and a really good waiter.

Rick Bhattacharya

Inside to outside difference is huge in the summer, muggy within the glass, breezy and nice outside it. Bathroom area feels like a sweatshop with the floors as slippery a a hockey rink, I'd bet that a health inspection down there would causes some trou let with management as the workers seem to be sweating profusely while carrying food. Ordered a mezcal tequila shot but asked for it neat due to the advertised 7$ happy hour tequila shots..... got charged 13$, bit of false advertising there, the Greenwich village crowd seems to be holding this place up, but definitely needs a makeover

Alexandria Price

Terrible customer service & rude staff. Definitely won’t be dining here anymore!!!!!

Shannon Hall

Nope. Don’t give them your business. I called the phone number on the website and asked about brunch reservations. We made reservations for 11 today. I received email and text confirmation of the date, time, and size of our party. I’ve heard great things about the brunch at Agave. And I’d spent several after work happy hours there when I worked in the neighborhood. We got there a few minutes after 11, and I thought we were in for something yummy. But no. The restaurant was closed. We eventually got someone to come to the door. I showed him the reservation confirmation. He informed us that the restaurant doesn’t open until 11:30 and we weren’t let in. We did not want to keep waiting in the heat so we left. How could we be given reservations for a time the restaurant is not open? I made reservations on the phone at the number listed on the website, so this is no computer glitch. I emailed (the address on the website). I haven’t heard back. This is simply extraordinarily poor customer service.

Aria Heller

These margaritas are not messing around. Delicious and SURPRISINGLY strong. It's great having a good Mexican place with such a classy vibe that you could bring your grandma, boss, or a date you were trying to impress. Service is always attentive! The menu offerings are a little unusual - more mole and fish than you typically see, and they're missing a few of the "standards" for Mexican restaurants in America - so I wouldn't necessarily recommend bringing kids, who might be expecting different options and flavors when they hear "Mexican food." This is one of my top pick restaurants for when relatives are visiting from out of town, though. It's got that "the same, but different!" NYC vibe that out of towners love.

Shemeeka Greaves

A tasty brunch that I reccomend but only hang up is add more mimosa options. I love going go spots that offer different juice flavors outside of orange juice. This restaurant is much larger than I expected so I think a party of 4 or 6 for brunch would work also. Try and sit under the glass as it gives much more natural light and you can better ppl watch. Service was decent.

Javier McCormack

Good food and you cant beat the happy hour specials

Shateama Mays

Went for the Sunday brunch at 12:30, very accommodating staff and Oliver our waiter was phenomenal. My mimosa/margarita glass was NEVER empty and the food really was exquisite. We were a party of four, and though it was a fairly small space, it felt cozy in a good but night tight way. The music was versatile and the place had overall great vibes. For the price, this spot is definitely a gem. I will be visiting here frequently. I will say, make reservations early and arrive early, as it fills up very quickly.

Josea Dugarte

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time last week after hearing a great recommendation from a friend. The staff were super friendly, it was very busy but we were seated right away. We came for the weekend brunch, which was great value for money especially in that area. The food was great, server was attentive and the drinks were good. I would definitely recommend Agave for a fun Sunday brunch!

Alfredo Goncalves

Right in lively Greenwich Village. The vibe was exactly what I was looking for. Playlist was right and the volume was just enough to enjoy conversation but jam out a bit. Food was cooked perfectly, everything hot and crispy.

Tamika Randolph

Great service! Delicious food

Annabelle Akdag

Had a really fun brunch! It was a blast. Really tasty and substantial food, which is much needed because the drinks are strong! Loved the bar tender Çetin, he was so upbeat.

jason rodriguez

Great brunch, great staff, great happy hour, love the frozen margaritas also love dinner here.. food is sooo good!

Michael Allongo

Unremarkable. Margaritas are weak. Food is very average. Do not bother with the hand hacked three beef dish on the brunch menu, they should consider removing that from the menu, tastes like the meat was boiled. Service is decent but honestly there are dozens of better restaurants around. Hard pass.

ivan basile

Woah, have you checked out their happy hour?! Treat yourself.

John Chan

This is my go to spot for happy hour on a Friday after a long week (happy hour is every weekday only at the bar). Can't go wrong with margaritas, tacos and empanadas as well as the rest of their menu which is filled with a plethora of options. My favorites are the frozen margaritas and steak tacos. The atmosphere is great and they have a wide selection of music playing (probably off of an iPod). The dining area is large. I would describe the bar as cozy if you don't mind standing as there aren't that many seats by the bar. They have brunch on the weekends which unfortunately I have not had a chance to try but I heard from other patrons it's always packed and you should make a reservation. The entire staff is welcoming and very attentive. Props to my favorite bartenders, Brenda, Hector and Becky as they always greet you with a smile and make sure you're taken care of. I had a few friends visiting from Atlanta so we got a table. We couldn't ask for more from our waiter, Nathan. We had a number of appetizers and everything was perfect. Why some individuals had a less than stellar experience is beyond me but just come and enjoy great food and a great time for yourselves!

ptownboricua

Came here for my friends engagement party.they had a awesome group party special of tacos/ margaritas . Had a fun time, food and drinks were amazing

Young Koepke

Went in for a Saturday brunch with my girlfriend, and we had a wonderful fun time at the bar area, which is filled with sun light! Our bartender, who is Turkish and can’t recall his name, was absolutely kind and attentive, literally the best service I’ve got living in NYC as service mentality here can be just speed and quick turnaround. We hung out for a while, and he didn’t show any signs of rushing while we caught up and enjoyed our time. The drinks with the brunch prefix were great- frozen margaritas were soooo delicious and foods were amazing as well. Will definitely come back! ♥️

Lauren Hosein

Fun music, great food and drinks w/ overall good vibes & music

elizabeth fantauzzi

Love the food, atmosphere and customer service

Formulated 003

Our server was Naomi & she did a really good job with my family & I. She had great energy & a great attitude It's a great atmosphere, the food & drinks were great. I say the pricing is fair atleast for what we received.

Laval Sincere

There's nothing on the menu I didn't like. They have pitchers of sangria and margaritas. The sangria was ok, but we switched to margaritas and they have an array of options. I had the prickly pear and it was delicious and strong. I also ordered the mushroom quesadillas and lime crab bruschetta, yum! My cousin had the shepherds pie and love their take on it. Place is pricey, but just the same as any place in the area. The vibes are good.

saurabh bansal

The drinks are bottomless and staff is friendly. A little expensive

Awilda Rosario

My friends and I can't get enough of the bar at Agave. Great happy hour specials and fantastic margaritas! Love this place!

Anthony Soriano

The breakfast Burrito was insanely delicious! We ordered from the prefix brunch menu. $39 for a large portioned meal and bottomless mimosas.

Jezebel Delgado

Was not open on time and ill prepared staff

scott gabrielle

Good Mexican food in a good location in the village. Gets a good crowd. Staff a friendly and attentive.

Jesse Zelada

Decent food although 19 dollars for tacos are pretty steep. Drinks were watered down as hell and the service was just terrible. Went there for my girlfriend's birthday and the waiter was just so oblivious to us it was ridiculous. We waited forever for pretty much everything we ordered. It even took them 30 minutes to get us the bill. This is just a no go for me.

Anna Priddy

Hands down, the best bottomless brunch you could ask for. The waiters are awesome and keep the drinks flowing. The cap is at 2 hours, but trust me. That’s all you need. I got the steak and eggs. That was phenomenal!!

Thomas Rivera

Food is good, it comes out very quick during brunch, I had the lobster Benedict, I could've did without the corn but it was still good. The lobster is claw meat not lobster tail meat FYI. Our waiter was amazing truly great, attentive and positive. The mimosa however are water down, they have no fizz due to the fact that they pour into pitchers for easier service with bottomless brunch, however the frozen magriatas are way better choice. If the weather is nice you can catch a table outside. There bottomless brunch is 2 hours max. Hope you enjoy!

Lesley Faith

Dined with my friends a group of 5. The total bill ended up being 154.00 with 12.00 or more in taxes, Us ladies decided to split the bill between us. The server Naomi said that the policy was against splitting the bill, So she instructed us to write down what each of us had. So My total was 22.00 - two of us used cards and the others used 2 $100.00 dollar bills equating to 200.00 in cash.. it was agreed that she would take the tax out of the cash.. 15 min later .. there was an issue saying that there was 28.00 and something left from the tax, hence my friend that used the card her total was 34.00 and mine was 22.00, Naomi stated that we didn't pay tax on our food ,COOL. that isn't a problem, the problem arose when it came out to the 28.00 something in unpaid taxes. HOW? My friend obliged to pay the 28.00 in "unpaid taxes" When we checked her transaction they only charged 23.00?! bit confused on how that 28.00 became 23.00. When the manager came back he gave us a receipt for 63.24, stating that we wanted to charge two of the card payments on the same card.... SO now we have a bill of 64.24 thats unpaid? We were under the impression we were trying to be charged for a missing meal. The manager ended up removing the said charges on the tax. What a mess.

Heribert Villazana

Awesome spot for brunch, a very good 2 hours bottomless. Bartender was very friendly, vegetarian options in the dishes. Food was ok, guacamole and calamari should be a little spicy because of the fact that the place is Mexican. Mimosas were good, nice rioja/Cabernet Sauvignon..

Sahil Parikh

Strong mimosas, worth it for brunch.

Suzanne Taylor

Bottomless brunch is the main focus here. We didn't have bottomless but the brunch was good if you like Mexican. Three topping omelette was great. It does get busy though, and they forgot to put our order through so we had to wait longer than usual

Maribel Julián

It gives the most wonderful food and it is a neat place. I love that place :D

Shelley See

The service and the food always excellent. The margaritas are very good. We go at 5pm and are out of there just as the noise level rises.

Olivia Silverman-Franklin

It's my second time back to Agave and went on a Wednesday night and it was not busy at all!( the weather wasn't that great that evening) Our waiter was super nice and attentive for us. We ordered a pitcher of Margarita and an app of guacamole (YUM!) my entree was the duck enchiladas( the duck was shredded and cooked great). My friend ordered the crab cake and it was also very good! Definitely and fun and chill restaurant with your not so typical Mexican menu!

Sefora Fernandez

Customer service there really sucks... They took four days to reply to the email i sent for reservations... on top of that then replied to me at 10:39 at night( after Business hours ) Just to let me know they’re booked for six days from now when I try to place a reservation with them 10 days in advance before the event very unprofessional/Unorganized ...

Sabrina

One of the best brunches I've had in NYC! Definitely recommend. Great service, cocktails & most importantly food! They do a bottomless brunch. The dinner is great as well, the mango margaritas

Ilya Speranza

Great food. A bit too dark, however! Would like the lights turned up a bit. Nice staff!

Frank Pulliza

Excellent food. Tacos, guacamole, crab dip, empanadas, all very, very good. House and spicy margaritas also very good.

Delano Mizrahi

Food was good but a bit pricey. A big surcharge for tables of 6 or more. #Ridiculous .. they also wouldn't replace the pitcher of so called unlimited drinks until everyone's glass was empty . Really? The pitcher is empty ... It's also super cramped and super loud. Bathroom isn't that clean either . Floor was wet and nasty.

Mayra Hernández

Bottomless margaritas plus great great food= heaven on sunday brunch

Steph R

Brunch was great. The servers were great. The space itself is lacking and don’t be fooled By the front, it is ALWAYS packed. Loved the drinks

Julio R

very good food, great fun place, a little noisy, but I suppose it doesn't matter because Millennials don't have much to say except for like an awesome!!

Joan Castro

Fresh made guacamole and chips to start followed by braised short ribs (costillas) with a jalapeno pea puree and roasted corn. The ribs were perfectly cooked and not overly spicy. The pomegranate margarita didn't have the kick of pomegranate I was hoping for but the passion fruit margarita made up for it. Mom loved the enchiladas de mariscos, for someone who rarely finishes a meal at a restaurant the fact that she was sad it was done means we'll be going back for more.

Jamane Warner

Food and portions were good however the 2 times i brunched here each time they didnt have what i wanted on the menu..the server said those items were no longer available lol...update the menu! I mean that kindly...servers are attentive, strong drinks....try not to be seated inside, towards the back area! So closed in and because of that you will be screaming at one another to make conversation.

Eric Sanders

Fabulous food, went with five friends lots of choices all good. The Prickly Pear margaritas are the best in NYC.

Charles Sepulveda

Very friendly service and the food was good. They get 4 stars because the margaritas weren't anything to buzz about maybe they were just our batches but nothing special. We started out with the guacamole and the empanadas and had the seafood enchiladas and the half chicken. We finished off with the chocolate fondue.

DOREEN ACEVEDO

Prickly pear is always worth the trip

Aaron Wilkinson

Recent Texas transplant and I've been burned by so-called "Mexican" food in NYC before. This place is definitely a great place to go for margaritas and tacos. Will be making the trip downtown to frequent this place regularly.
