This is one of my favourite places! Whether you go for brunch on Sundays, some Cellar Happy Hour during the week or a nice dinner, you'll leave happy. The duck confit eggrolls are a signature appetizer and pretty damn good. One time they served them to us burnt but were very quick to bring us a new order when we told our waitress. The drinks are great and in the Cellar on Wednesday's they have 20% off bottles of wine, and it comes with a cheese board!

I was really excited to try this place after reading some of the reviews. We made a reservation but didn't need it, they were not that busy on a weeknight. Service was good. Our waitress was great and the manager came over to check on us. Food: the egg rolls were very good. My wife had the beef tenderloin and it tasted amazing from the bite I had, but it didn't came out kind just barely warm. I had the flank steak and it was not very good at all. It was crusted with peppercorn but I'm not sure what flavor they were going for. It just tasted burned and charred. The mashed potatoes it came with were very good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my own meal but impressed with all of the other food and service. They also have a bar downstairs that seems to have a pretty cool vibe

Presentation & preparation of high-quality food was tip-top. Decent wine selections to accompany appetizers & entrees, with even more choices for the after- dinner, seasonal dessert menu. Local beer on tap. Special was a perfectly roasted Icelandic cod served with asparagus and without enough potatoes ($25). Seared Ahi app was elegant ($14/full-size). Portion sizes were uneven; smallish for their price. Lighting was a tad too dim for reading the menu, but relaxing for enjoying the space; window banquette seating very comfortable. Was a Sat.night, and Cellar had music. Upstairs was better for conversations. Good choice for adulting.

Wow. I was expecting a lot from this place because it had a good reputation and I had already heard about their food from various places, but my mind was blown the first time I went here. The atmosphere and noise level is perfect for a first date. The food is very reasonably priced considering the quality and simplicity of the ingredients. I can't say I liked my lamb shank much, but to be fair I meant to order steak and accidentally said the lamb instead so that's more my fault for not liking lamb. Get the duck rolls. Ask the knowledgeable staff about their wine selection. If you really like a girl and want to set a great first impression, take her/him here and pay for the check. It will do wonders.

This is a versatile place. The restaurant is bright and chic with a delicious menu. However, I prefer the low light of the cellar. It feels more intimate, and the staff is wonderful. Try some top shelf burbon or whiskey and eat a duck eggroll or some mussels

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food and service was phenomenal (drinks were good too, I prefer food though). The restaurant is on the ground floor while the bar is down a set of stairs on the right as soon as you go through the main door. On various days (can't remember which one's, check their website) they have love music playing in the bar with no cover charge. Definitely will go again.

Beware! Some of the food items are badly misrepresented! The " Dutch baby" touted as a " puff pastry" was more of BURNED FLAT CRACKER with a jelly spread on top. NOTHING like a puff pastry! When challenged the staff said well it is A " baked" pastry. When clearing the table the bus boy stacked the dirty plates In front of a guest and proceeded to scrap the plates.

OMG - I'm at a loss of words to describe this place. The food is so delicious, great portions, quite reasonable (mid $20), and the overall ambience is comfortable but energetic. I had the Pork Porterhouse and my wife had the Grilled Lamb and both were perfectly prepared. We were also pleasantly surprised at having a large portion of side vegetables with each dish. What's more, the wine selection by the glass is extensive AND you can order a half glass of any of the wines available by the glass.

When the good bartenders are in the cellar it's probably the best cocktail service in town. Sometimes you get the OK bartenders and then you should probably stick to the menu.

It was ok. This was touted as a hot local spot for great eats and a multi-floor experience with the restaurant on top and the Cellar cocktail bar in the basement. The idea is familiar but in this case just ok. I sat and ate at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and attentive. Where the restaurant let me down was the food. Ordered duck confirm eggrolls and a Caesar salad. You've got to execute the simple stuff: the eggrolls are obviously pre-made and then heated through when ordered which is fine. The garnish was terrible, the sweet and sour sauce was decent, and the peanut curry was abhorrent. The Caesar dressing was poorly made, and was more like mayonnaise than a Caesar dressing (no citrus, no anchovy). Too bad, at least the whiskey was good, and good on the bartender giving me a sample of a good small batch bourbon.

We wanted to try this place because it had a cellar bar. Specialty drinks were excellent and the food was good. It was Monday and clearly their slow night but that didn't affect the food. Even though slow they did put the furniture away for most of the room and it did kind if make you feel like they were ready to just close up...we would have stayed longer otherwise.

Meatless Mondays and vegan menu options with vegan alcoholic cocktail pairings at Zinc are really well thoughtout and the bartender makes perfect mojitos.

Zinc is a really nice restaurant. They have excellent choice of wines and the food is amazing. Staff is always friendly. The best dish is beef borgiogne ravioli but it is seasonal. If you're alone sit at the bar. The bartenders are very friendly and conversational.

Five stars for the following reasons: first, we liked the ambience, which we found modern, comfortable, fun, and lively. Second, our server was superior. She was knowledgable and friendly and gave us great suggestions. She was attentive to our table and provided us with excellent care. Third, the menu was impressive and the meals were well prepared and deliciously prepared. I'm glad we dined here, I'd heard it was good...we were not disappointed and I don't think you would be either.

My boyfriend and I decided to check this place out because we love wine. I was delighted to see they offer a wine flight and thoroughly enjoyed trying some new wines. Our food was also wonderful. I got a chicken with lemon sauce and prosciutto and my boyfriend got a filet mignon special. The kitchen was kind enough to cater to our low carb needs by replacing starchy sides with a delicious vegetable medley as well. The atmosphere is very pretty and the service was thorough. Definetely recommend!

I love Zinc and their downstairs Cellar! On Monday the chef is now offering a Vegan Special with a discounted beverage. TBH. I ordered a delicious burger with a garlic aioli sauce. I have always enjoyed taking out a friend that are new to albuquerque. Awesome atmosphere. Good times!

The food was fantastic... But head downstairs if your looking for a drink! The drinks in the restaurant are not bad but the quality and consistency of drinks downstairs was far better. But I am a little "snobish" about my drinks, so don't shy away from the restaurant for a great dinner! The waiter was great, food great, and downstairs the drinks are great.

Had a couple of the small plate dishes. They were really tasty. The duck eggs rolls had good flavor with the duck, and good crunch. The sauces were a nice accompaniment. The smoked trout and potato cakes was also really good. Be sure to stack each bite through all the layers. I was interested in a wine flight, but didn't see a suggested one that interested me. However, the server asked for my typical preferences in wine, and constructed one that was a great balance of flavors and exploration. Definitely worth exploring their wine selections in this way!

We've been guests at Zinc on many occasions. Be it for a nice dinner for two in the main restaurant or meeting some friends downstairs for a snack and drink while listening to a live band, Zinc always meets the mark. I could eat duck eggrolls everyday - if you're looking for a good eat, they are awesome. Try them as an appetizer (one order comes with two rolls cut in half) and enjoy!

Oops.....it was good....it was great.....now, it's not! Went for Sunday brunch.....Went for Su day brunch a year ago.......different menu....ok. things change....an update....a catastrophe.....awful.....my daughter had the salmon and scallops..with eggs....she didnt like it......the taste was off...and the dish lacked a complementary balance of flavors. I had the cheeseburger thing.......no, there was no bun......I didn't miss it. the party was large....cooked well.....the vegetables silly (three quarter inch cubes of sweet potatoes, three peas), the potatoes ok, BUT.....where was the cheese? if it was a burger then call it that.....stupid......we had bellinis.....very small.......there are too many great brunches around town....Dont waste your time....

Great for hosting a special event. Zinc holds special events before they open during the day. I recently hosted a baby shower here. The staff was quick to respond, accommodating and friendly throughout the planning of the event. The day of the shower everything was set up lovely before we arrived. The ambiance is great in there! People remarked on how delicious the food was and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend hosting a special event here.
