Food was good. Very authentic. Please remember the Native Americans live simply and don't expect the Taj Mahal. Service was good and friendly and the family owned and operated facility made us feel very welcome.

This unique restaurant serves Native food. It is very different from New Mexican food. If you have an open mind, you will be in for a treat!

Had the blue corn beverage and vegetarian fry bread. Food was authentic native fare, so no frills, yet comfortable, down to Earth ambiance and service. The chocolate squash cake was not too sweet, so perfect.

Authentic, no attitude, delicious new Mexican food, served near the Taos Pueblo by people who know what they're doing. Don't be afraid to stop in even if you don't see any cars in front, you will leave happy, content and planning on coming back when you can.

Family had a great time seeing the pueblo's bonfires on Christmas eve. This business had a Christmas eve buffet with interesting and delicious native food that we enjoyed a lot. My kids are picky eaters and loved some of the food. This was a good memory!

The food was good. They only had one waiter and he was doing a great job for being by himself. We did have a wait on our food for a bit.

I’m not experienced in Pueblo food, so I really can’t attest to the quality, but I didn’t much enjoy it. Staff was very friendly.

Delicious homemade native food, and run by a Taos Pueblo family! If you want something authentic be sure to eat at Tiwa Kitchen Restaurant.

We stopped at the casino to avoid the traffic that had all roads blocked and 2 in our party of 4 were hungry, so we ate at TIWA. The 2 that were hungry had the soup and salad bar, very good selection for the price, that is what I would have had if I hadn't had a big lunch. My husband and I decided just to have dessert, because he also had a big lunch. We split a piece of their overloaded cake, but when we cut it in half there was two hairs in it. We told one of the waiters and the manger came over, apologized and bought our whole meal, including the 2 salad bars and drinks. I am very impressed with how the situation was handled and can guarantee I will be back. Thank you!

Good food and great service. Very friendly staff.

This place is owned by an Indian chief. He and his family made a special Buffet just for our traveling group. It was delicious. I would definitely go back. He also told us some very interesting things about the history of the Indians and the Pueblo. Not fancy but the way the tables were arranged we had some very good conversations and a great time

Very friendly and excellent service. The food was not quite what I expected though, and the green chili sauce had no flavor. Fried bread sticks were tough, but grandson loved them. Great homemade chips and salsa.

88 degrees and hot. Out of ice!!! Otherwise pleasant informative staff. Good native food.

Was not crowded, maybe because my wife and I was there during the middle of the week. Food was really good and the young man who waited on us was very friendly. We had a wonderful time learning about his tribe.

Ate here years ago and still think about the delicious pancakes and berry sauce/jams. Extremely friendly host on top of the good food to boot!

Jessica Jones

Really great food, great service - the blue corn taco is wonderful.

Only gave more than one star because the staff tried very hard to accommodate us, we had children and were a larger group. The food was not good (the only edible thing was the fried zucchini appetizer, very tasty), and didn't even seem to match the description on the menu ex. A burger with "all the fixings" came with only a patty and cheese. I am a New Mexican, and brought out of state guests here for what I hoped would be authentic Native American or New Mexican food, and we were all very disappointed.

Very homey, run by a small family. Food was fresh and tasted great. Try the chokecherry lemonade!

John Johnston

Very good food and hot

Excellent food, waitress really nice and helpful! Ate Tiwa Taco with my favorite green chilies, choke cherry lemonade and a yummy flat bread ala mode with choke cherry syrup for dessert. Homemade food I would recommend to anyone who likes to eat food food !

What an amazing experience eating Pueblo traditional food! The trout was perfectly seasoned and it fell right off the bone. It came straight from the river on their land. The same can be said for the wild rice, corn, and other vegetables. The blue corn tacos and buffalo enchiladas were so fresh. Everything was grown or taken from their land.

Himaja

It was great experience to taste authentic local food, felt like eating home cooked food and tasty too. Nothing fancy. Was visiting Taos Pueblo and had Christmas eve buffet here. Price was bit high for the items served, but still went with it.
