I really had a great time here got exactly what we wanted and how we wanted.. we sat in the area with good music and not many people in this area was relaxing.. the paneer saag was exceptional and overall a great time at a superb place.. the owner is an extraordinary guy also.. will definitely come back if I'm in new mexico again.

If you want great service and good food this is the place you should be. My biggest dining complaint these days is lack of attention and customer service. You WILL NOT find this here! Everyone was very attentive and concerned about our happiness. More than once someone came by to check on us or refill drinks just moments after someone else had done the same thing. I was very impressed with the quality of the customer service and the quality of the food. Everything was delicious, fresh and plentiful! We didn't try the buffet as it was late, but it did seem they had quite the selection and that they were keeping the food fresh. Watching them tear down the setup showed us they care about quality and cleanliness, which is always a good thing! I can't suggest this place enough. Give it a try. You will be happy you did. We will definitely be returning!

For not being to interested in Indian food this place was really good. The flavors were great. There were four of us so we made a little family style buffet. Each got something different and shared. The naan basket was amazing as well three differnt kinds of naan.

I have been living in Albuquerque for 20 years and i have been to every indian restaurant in town but this restaurant here is something else, i go to Taaj Palace 4 times in a month and sometimes i compare indian restaurants for myself and see which ones i like and taste different varieties and Taaj Place defines excellent and neat, they have the most friendliest staff i love the goat, lamb, shrimp, and fish curry on weekends and their is no other indian restaurant like this.

My wonderful sister and brother in law took me and my husband here. They know we love Indian food. I would rate this place at a 6 based off the food. A (7)for the service and cleanseness. A little too pricey for a buffet. The staff was friendly. The food was okay, that bathrooms were clean.

Very disappointed with Biryani. We went here to have some biryani and what we got is near to sambar rice. When I asked the owner he said that they Made it in their own receipe. Really disappointed, if it is their own recipe then they should have their own name not as biryani.

There is no option to give them less than one star. The Indian staffs are rude and mean. They need to learn some manner. The cauliflower we had was stale and stinky. The other foods were 4 out of 10. I don’t understand Why did some people give them 5 stars rating. That’s still a mystery. I will highly recommend to run away from this place if you want to stay in good mood. It’s not worth it.

Loved the food. Best Indian food experience in USA so far from all the places I are in Florida, vegas and LA. Authentic punjabi food. Vegetable tikka sabzi was awesome. They served me very thin fresh garlic naan in buffet, which were delicious. I loved the gajar halwa too. Yes, they serve buffet all day, I paid 16$ for the buffet + taxes. I will visit it again.

Went again after some years of avoiding because the GREEN MINT CHUTNEY was passé. SAME problem this visit 7/2019, tho' owner/manager said food was fresh when asked. Chutneys DO stay good for a few days, tho' when a customer says the chutney's going bad, they ought to taste and change - they didn't. The SAMOSAS were SOGGY from steam, probably left from lunch. Go to the other Indian restaurant on Carlisle and Constitution for FRESH BUFFET foods.

I took my wife there for the dinner buffet. The wait staff were o.k. and attentive but one of the chicken dishes was cold and tasted like it was sitting there most of the day. They need to check the warmers periodically. Other food was decent but boring because it's always the same. They are also way overpriced for the quality of food and dinner buffet. We ordered two ice teas to drink and our bill was almost $45 for the two of us. The food is pretty much the same as the lunch buffet which is better priced. I don't think I'll be coming back though.

The food was fantastic! I love how the vegetarian and meat options were clearly marked, and the mango ice cream was incredible. Decor and atmosphere were also excellent. Everything was very clean, including the restrooms. We were traveling with a Bugg puppy and the staff were very helpful and even brought us an extra dish of water for him. Definitely planning to come back again!

Restaurant I have tried since moving down here and it is my favorite. They accommodated my wife’s food allergies and she loved her dish. They have a large selection of dishes and it smelled wonderful inside. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed unless they did not like Indian food.

Authentic delicious food, great service and a cozy, attractive atmosphere. One time we took my son there for his birthday and they turned the chair upside down and made him sit like that. His 11-year-old friends thought that was hilarious. Now we just go there whenever we feel like it because it’s SO YUMMY! Thanks Paul and crew for bringing this authentic flavor to my neighborhood.

The worst ever indian restaurant in my entire life. The goat curry tested like the curry of dead donkey. The staffs behaved with us like a street hawkers of India. They were yelling at us when we asked for customized receipt. I think they need to shut their business soonest and go back to India.

When I walked in the waiter was not warm but seemed apprehensive, I picked up a menu and then told me the only option was the buffet. I told him I was vegan and he showed me the 3 options they had, potatoes, beans and rice. It was very good however when I saw the bill it was 17.99, I said that this was a bit much for a plate of rices and beans, he said thats the buffet and I could have chosen from the menu. I felt this was planned to maximize profits, and he told me when I entered not to look at the menu. I don't recommend this as a good place for vegans to eat, and I don't consider 3 options of sides a buffet.

They always have great food. I can never decide what I want to eat off the menu at Indian restaurants because everything is so good, so its very nice to have a buffet where you can try a little bit of everything. Highly recommend this to everyone. Many people I bring here are closed minded when it comes to trying new food, but they always fall in love with this place after their first bite.

Stopped by to eat here while on a journey and I have to say I was amazed. Talked to the owner who is also a chief and next thing you know he was cooking my food. Very nice and friendly place, highly recommend. Management: I would recommend to keep an eye out in the bathroom for hygienic supplies.

The worst biryani I've ever eaten in my life. They don't know how to make a biryani. They charged me $43 for 2 plates of Fish Biryani and gave such small quantity. The biryani was just basically white rice mixed with curry and added extra raisins, capsicum, onions and potatoes. There was hardly any fish in there.

Overpriced! The food was not bad. Their best dishes are the rice, naan, butter chicken and chicken tandoori. Their mango ice cream is to die for. But for a buffet price of about $17 each, it is not worth it! They would be smart to reduce the amount of items and amplify what's already good and decrease the price to normal to get more business.

The service is very good and their buffet has a good selection. Get there early for the best flavors and freshness of the food. The mango lasse is very good and my favorite is chicken marsala. Pricing is reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxing. The only complaint for me is the restrooms should be a bit cleaner with hand towels readily nearby. Otherwise a very good place for Hindu Cuisine.

The East Indian buffet Taj Palace is one of the best in Albuquerque and it is available from lunch through dinner. The vegetarian section is nicely separated from the section with meat dishes. They have my favorite saag paneer on a buffet and their dessert options are undeniably the best on any India buffet I have ever seen. There is a great wine selection here too.

I’ve lived in Southern California, Dallas, D.C, Northern Virginia and Arizona and this is the best Indian Buffet I’ve eaten at - the buffet dishes are great and refreshed very often so no matter what time you come, it is always perfect. The staff is great - I bring my mother here nearly every weekend and they are always so nice and friendly to their customers - if I transfer again, this is truly the one restaurant I would miss the most of all of my moves! I generally avoid Buffets but I love Indian food. I had no idea if this place was going to be a buffet only place and it was. I was seated and had no idea I should've gone to the buffet, so if you're wondering, I hope this review helps you. You also pay at the counter. Can't say I truly enjoyed it, it was Indian food, but not my favorite. For the price though it's good. Also, if you order a tea for $2.50 you get a small cup of hot water and a choice of flavored bagged tea. It's not going to be a nice teapot with any sort of loose leaf tea.

The staff is super friendly. The masala is nut free. The chai is bottomless. There's a lunch and dinner buffet all weekend and lunch buffet during the week. Go! Pick out your favorite dish on the weekend then come back and order it again during the week! The buffet is super yummy! My husband is a huge fan of the tandoori chicken. My 9 year old loves the fried shrimp appetizers, plenty of food for her!

I am not sure if the actual chef/cook was there or not on that day. The food that we ordered was no where near the photos that are there. Chili Paneer dry, Alu Gobi and Veg kadai all had the same gravy even though, paneer was supposed to be dry. We asked for spicy, it was so spicy that it was unpalatable and burnt the tongue and lips instantaneously. They need to know spicy doesn’t mean killing hot. Diff between AG and VK were few carrots and onions in VK and the gravy was same. Not even a drop of oil was seen in any of the curries. Hence I doubt if the cook was there that day. The alu parantha stuffing was so tasteless that even my 1.5 year kid did not eat. The manager seemed a nice person but they need to really work on their food. If there is another actual cook, it could be an unfortunate day for us. I would try this place again if I have no other option at all.

From the owner, his wife and our friend Jazseem their service is top notch, they all make you feel like family.. the food is the best of this type in the city. you will never leave hungry. Love this place! I’ve been going here for years. Delicious food! Large quantities. Shareable, for sure. Usually order to go, so don’t have a lot of interaction with the staff, but they are helpful and kind. Thank you, Taaj Palace, you guys rock!

The quality of the food was excellent, but I really want to give the owner a huge compliment about the level of service: beyond outstanding. Here's the story...I ordered take out, then realized halfway through enjoying the delicious food that I did not receive rice. I told my friend that I wouldn't mind driving back for rice because I love rice. I called and spoke with the owner, told him of my dilemma, he checked with the kitchen, and when he got back on the phone with me, I fully expected to hear something like "I'll have it ready for you as soon as you get here." Instead, he asked for my address and arranged for the rice to be delivered to my front door. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone who's craving Indian food along with amazing service given by genuinely warm and friendly people.

Very high priced food Place smelled like a goat yard Its not authentic at all I ordered Biryani and I got sambar rice and owner said its his own recipe. If its own recipe then it should have its own name. Stupid management
