Great breakfast friendly staff. Always kept.my coffee full. I recommend the classic omelette. Green sauce if you like spicy with flavor or the red of you want flavor no spice.. or mix it up and go half and half like I did.

It looks like a hole in the wall but is really a great stop for breakfast. We had a chile relleno omelette that had a whole still-crispy cheese-filled chile relleno inside of it, strawberry stuffed pancakes, and coffees. I would return here for breakfast.

Stopped here for breakfast during a quick get away trip from Denver. My wife and I actually found charm in the dreary outdated furnishings, Definitely old school. Outside wasn't much to look at either but the great food, friendly service, and overall great experience will always be a fond memory. Outstanding prices, So good in fact, we will be stopping by again in the morning before heading back home. I had the chili relleno omelet (Christmas style red/green chili with hash browns, and biscuits and gravy - all were delish and wife had simple bacon and egss - over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon high quality and crisp; This place is a winner,

Sunrise is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Santa Fe if you are a fan of New Mexican food. Large portions cooked to order, locally owned, and friendly staff. The entire restaurant is filled with photos and paintings of Sunrises, some of which are for sale. The booths are a bit old, so I might recommend a table and chairs over that, which is never a problem as you seat yourself.

Atmosphere made one feel dirty. Dark and dreary. Service was basically non-existent, however, the personnel were extremely friendly. The food....I had chicken fajitas and half the chicken was gristle with tough grilled onions. Partner had a combination plate with the food items overlapping. New Mexican cuisine. Way, way over priced. If you've read my reviews before you know I'm very fair....this one is my worst review ever and I am truly sorry but I have to be honest.

Poor service one girl greeted me then said someone would be with me a guy finally arrived to take order had others arrive around me who were immediately greeted and had their food out before mine even came out was not checked on til I finished my food. But just to be asked if I wanted my drink refilled which came to late food was ok not greatest but still good just wanted to check this place out. I have worked in countless restaurants and bars in my day and to receive poor service is just awful the restaurant is not that big for all the servers that were working not to be checking on tables or to be properly greeting them. I guess the have loyal customers here that they focus on and not new guests I dont recommend this place unless your a regular but yeah poor service here dont waste your time I will personally not be back.

We stumbled in here when Tecolote was unexpectedly closed and are very glad we did. We've only been here for breakfast ...4 times in 3 weeks. It's all been very good. I'm addicted to the breakfast quesadilla and DH has had 3 different breakfasts, all perfect. And it's one of the cheaper places in town to eat breakfast. The ambience is reminiscent of an old fashioned cafe. I haven't seen any turistas in here and am hoping it will be easy to get in during summer.

I've heard raves reviews about this place from friends and family over the past several years. The other day I finally got my chance to try this place out and to see if it indeed lived up to the reputation it has seemingly so well established for itself. When my mom and I arrived, we were quickly seated and handed our menus. This place offers a little bit more than your standard local breakfast/lunch joint, which of I course appreciate. When the time came to order I decided to go with the basic waffle dish. Which came served along with eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage. The meals itself was pretty good, but nothing extraordinary. The waffle was thick and fluffy in addition to the eggs and bacon being cooked just right. The main grievance I had with Sunrise during my visit was the fact that the table seated directly behind us got their order about five minutes before we did. Despite having arrived to the restaurant several minutes after us. Beyond that, I found Sunrise to be both an adequate and pleasant locally owned family restaurant.

We brought our two young kids here for lunch. They both had the pancake plate, and the pancakes were thick and big and in the shape of a mouse. The staff is courteous and attentive; our coffee cups never hit bottom. The breakfast menu is served all day, and I highly recommend the chicken friend steak breakfast plate. My wife had the stuffed sopapilla, and enjoyed it. She enjoys spicy food, and the green sauce was at the top of her spicy range; so if you do not do spicy, try the sauce on the side.

Very casual and homely place to get breakfast all day. I ordered the large breakfast quesadilla and only ate half. Coffee is pretty standard and the cup is always full. Friendly and prompt service. Very reasonable pricing. Not a lot of places in Santa Fe where you can get breakfast and a coffee and enough leftovers for lunch for under 10$. Breakfast menu does lack a bit of diversity but it's a good menu anyway. This is a locals type of place and is great for family. Definitely check this place out!
