Don’t even bother dining inn, take to go. So I was looking for a small, intimate restaurant to take my hubby to for an early birthday dinner, unfortunately there isn’t much in the Hobbs but the saxony that fits what I was looking for. I made reservations since a lot of reviews said it’s a must once I got there i definitely saw why, the place is very small. It was cozy and intimate just what I was looking for, but there is bar literally right next to it and instead of closing the doors they had them open and we were right next to them so it defiantly killed the entire ambiance. On top of that there was a fight at that bar that the two men fighting almost rolled over into our table, there was a large party next to us extremely loud, and to top everything off the waitress was horrible she got our order wrong 3 times plus the food took forever. It was a horrible experience we ended up taking our food to go. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the food was amazing. The ribeye steak is too die for but the customer service is disgusting. Don’t recommend anyone to dine in just order to go.

Wow best steak in West Texas although it's Eastern New Mexico.. nothing like it in Lubbock truly.. if you are a quality steak lover.. special meat 1865 supplier only to few restaurants PRIME!! Las Brisas Steakhouse in Lubbock does NOT sell Prime quality steak. For $50 plus a plate. Bone In Ribeye 18 oz $35 ! Includes salad greens ,veggie , baked potatoes, or sweet potatoes, yeast rolls oh REAL butter .We will be back..little road trip from Lubbock, Tx.

What a place! Awesome Steak.. had the Saxony 12oz ribeye.. had the grill people grill me up some green chili..as seen it was fabulous and tasty. I'm sure a lot of locals known this place. Searched on the web for "Best Steaks in Hobbs NM"..Saxony popped up number one.. I see why..Owners please don't change anything! Atompshere is laid back.. went early before 1800..then it started to get busy!. On their web site it's states reservations recommend.. was single so if you go early you may beat the crowd.. price very reasonable. Will highly recommend the Saxony to all who ask about a good place for a steak. Service was AWESOME! Friendly and knowledge waitress..its worth the Time and Money!!

A small menu, great steaks, some seafood and chicken and a good variety of appetizers, cocktails and wines. A good place for an intimate dinner, they can also provide for small groups. It is inside a motel which itself is a bit decrepit but the steakhouse is worth visiting, great food and great service. Expect a $90 or better check for two.

Excellent steak. Prompt service, and ice cold beer. Book reservations in advance, the hotel doesn't provide much real estate to the restaurant, so seating is at a premium. Also, the bartender makes an awesome Patron margarita.

Yes!!! Service was good, FOOD WAS ON POINT ! GREAT ATMOSPHERE. WILL BE BACK ! We were skeptical when we drove up and walked in. Then she took us through the doors and what a cozy place . We have dined in many top end steakhouses and this food will hold up to them at a FRACTION of the cost! Best dang baked potato I have had in forever. So glad we found this hidden treasure we will be back even if it is two hours AWAY!

I've been to the saxony room steak house multiple times in the past and it always exceeded my expectations. I would have given it a 5 star rating had it not been for this last visit. I made reservations for 2 over the phone. When we arrived we were seated right away. We were put in a dark corner and the candle that was on the table wouldn't light. We had plenty of time to go through the menu while waiting on the waitress. She visited the two tables next to us multiple times but acted like we didn't exist. Once she finally noticed us, she took our drink order. We tried to go ahead and order our food since we already knew what we wanted, but the waitress just walked off. After another long wait she finally took our order. Then we waited again. After a while we noticed she hadn't came back. We could see the plates of food ready to be served but no waitress. When she finally showed up and brought our plates to us, it was cold. The food was still good but the service was horrible. I normally tip 20% of the bill. I didn't this time.

Excellent food and service. The waitress served me wine samples to help me choose; waited for me to cut the filet to check if it was to my liking and was very courteous and attentive. I was truly impressed! By the way, the place is inside the Inn. I entered the Inn to ask if the restaurant was closed and there was the plaque... A little sign outside would help!

This is the best steak house in town hands down! It is a very nice place and the food is excellent! Always a five star meal when we go. My family loves it so much we go almost every weekend. The chefs really know what they are doing and always make sure you are completely satisfied. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE!

I have eaten here several times. My steak (the PorterHouse) has always been cooked medium rare and perfect! The atmosphere is calm and proper. It is tucked away in hotel say you may not know its there. If you want the best steak in Hobbs this is definitely the place to go.

Who'd have thought that one of the best steakhouses in the country would be inside an old hotel in Hobbs, NM. Seriously, it's THAT good. Whatever you do, order the mushrooms as an appetizer or a side. The Cajun ribeye is to die for as well

Absolutely phenomenal! Best steak I've ever had, cut like butter it was so tender and juicy. The asparagus was cooked to perfection not all stringy like you get most asparagus. There was nothing left on that plate when I was done. Great atmosphere it's a little confusing from the outside since since it's tucked into the hotel but don't let that stop you. I will make it my goal to come back to this place if I pass through here again!

Spent 28 minutes on hold to make reservations. That was the drive from my house to the restaurant. They ask to seat us in the lounge,they should have said the bar.They sat tables up on the dance floor.I had my daughter,son in law their 3 kids 11 months,4 and 5. Also some friends with their 2 year old. Didn't take us long to leave. Waitress asked if the manager could call me to discuss this ,well that never happened.. So now we are Cattle Barron customers.
