This Restaurant corresponds to the category of American restaurant.
Amazing service, beautiful patio and great food. I had the special beet salad, very fresh! It is a little pricey but it’s fine dining.
I had the fish tacos and they were fantastic. Then I had the little coconut Bundt cake and it blew my damn mind.
This has always been on our bucket list in Santa Fe. Parking scared us off but using the free county paking down the block made it easy. We had the smoked chicken Quesadilla and the Duck Leg Confit with Risotto. It is a no brainer to see why chief Martin Rios was picked to compete in Iron Chief America. Serves fell apart on desert. Delay of game and wrong order. We will be back.
we went to Restaurant Martin with big expectations as it was highly recommended and have good reviews. My husband and I appreciate fine dinning and good food. However, at Resturant Martin we were left very under whelmed. First, we waited several minutes by the front door before we were ever greeted or asked for a table. The ambiance was not cozy but rather drab and even dirty. The bread service is what I'd expect from Chili's, not a fine restaurant. The appetizers were very good (salad and bisque) but not exceptional and not what I'd expect from an "Iron Chef!" The main courses were less impressive as the flavors, textures, colors did not stand out. I didn't even finish my dish as it was just not that good. Our bill was $150 for 2 people and we left disgusted and irritated that we paid so much for such a low quality of food and restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone! It's a waste of money and time- and it is very over rated!
Beautiful food!

We stopped at Restaurant Martin as part of a Tour with the Santa Fe Cooking School. We were able to enjoy Martin, his wife Jennifer, his spotless kitchen, beautiful surroundings and terrific food. We were with a purported non-fish eater, who scraped her bowl after finishing off the beautifully prepared salmon. I bought his book and spent the evening reading his wonderful story. Can't wait to try the recipes.
Stopped in for a business lunch and it was wonderful. Absolutely delicious food and very good service..
Wonderfully elegant small restaurant with attentive servers. We were referred to this restaurant by an editor of a large newspaper. However, in my experience, my food didn't quite live up to expectations. I had the salmon, which I eat frequently, either out or at home. While presented with an attractive dish, it contained a major flaw...seasoning, simple salt and pepper. With that said, the major plus was the bread basket. Wow! Crispy crust, tender center, I could've been happy with a little butter or pesto to slather on those delectable bread points without an entree. Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes! Just skip the salmon..
I give it 4 stars. The food is fantastic, the service was underwhelming.
Very Lovely Salad and the service was excellent. The adobe building is cute.
Absolutely elegant. Food fabulous. Waiters and waitresses just couldn't be better !!!
wonderful clean fresh innovative food. lovely kind staff!
Fabulous. .nice menu...
Great menu, very well prepared and artfully presented. .
Very great place for people to have a very nice dinner and enjoy an evening in the Santa Fe culture.
A must in Santa Fe....always unique..outside patio is quaint and service is wonderful!
Service and food was great!
Great food
My favorite brunch
Food is always amazing!
Outstanding food, presentation and service. Went a second time Tuesday (after first time on Saturday night) and it was even better
5 stars! Unique menu, knowledgeable courteous server, and fabulous dining experience!
To be fair, the waitress did tell me the yellow fin tuna is cooked almost raw. What I did not anticipate was for it to have so much connective tissue that I would struggle to cut and of course eating it was out of question. Even if I exclude the bad fish...all the other components of the dish also did not do it for me.The craziest part was....when you leave a plate like that....is there even a question as to what was wrong? None! Classy Service as well. Quite the disappointment.
Bad service over priced food was nice looking not good tasting will not be going back
Wow! Our recent experience at Restaurant Martin was delightful. Their food is exquisitely tasteful and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional. We look forward to our next meal there. Kudos!
Delicious!
Very good food, atmosphere could be upgraded, not exceptional in comparison to other local places.
Like a great show-stopping performance, Restaurant Martin delivered last night with one of the most artistic, delicious, perfectly-served dinners we have ever had in 30 years of living in Santa Fe. Soup to nuts- perfect!
The best!
Yes! The Best meal, the best atmosphere, the best staff, the best family owned restaurant in our city. Our family loves the Sunday brunch most of all! We truly appreciate the dependability that we can count on, Thank you!
Probably the best restaurant I have ever been to. Fantastic.
Good food, the food service can be a lol slow but it's for effect, the staff are always nice friendly and helpful
Incredible restaurant! We went here for my wife's birthday. The hostess and waiter both made a point to wish her happy birthday. I had the chef's special and my wife had the steak menu item. Phenomenal meal. I also highly recommend the polenta. Literally, one of the best meals I've every eaten.
What a wonderful meal we had prior to the opera on Saturday past. I expected a high quality imaginative menu and excellent service and everything was spot on. We had hoped to sit on patio but weather forced us inside. This is just one of Santa Fe's finest dining establishments and it lives up to its reputation.
Really great and inventive food. Affordable at lunchtime. Go!
Pork cheeks came oversalted, mac and cheese too fat - way degraded place from last year. Only thing left is look of dishes
Best brunch spot in Santa Fe! Beautiful indoor/outdoor setting. Great food. Wonderful, friendly service. I've been lucky enough to have brunch here a number of times. So, it wasn't surprising my husband and I chose to have our post wedding brunch for 50 people there last Sunday. We contact the special events coordinator a couple of months before the wedding -- and they took care of everything. They helped us selected a more limited -- but varied and delicious menu -- and worked well within our budget. It was such a beautiful, relaxed yet stylish setting -- and everyone went gaga over the food. The service was so professional and friendly. We all had a great time! 5 stars!!!
The service was outstanding. Luiz did a great job explaining all the meals and was very attentive all night. The food out of the kitchen was timely, we did not ever wait for anything. The pea soup was "the bomb". Everything was excellent! Quiet, calm, timely, beautifully presented and personal. So far, our best dining experience in Santa fe!
Went there this past Saturday. We had reservations for 6pm which really weren't needed as the place was completely empty except for us for the first 30 minutes we were there. We were really worried as typically a good restaurant is usually pretty busy by then. Turns out we had no reason to be. For appetizers we got the lobster ravioli (or whatever it was called) and the soup special which was a cauliflower puree with raisins. For entrees we got the lamb and duck. The lobster was not very good and the reason for -1 star, but you can't really expect fresh lobster in NM...I should've learned by now. Everything else was superb. We will definitely be going back.
I wouldn’t rush back for lunch. Sandwich lacked flavor and so did the fries and salad (basically just leaf lettuce). My friend’s short ribs were dry and tasteless.
8/6/2013 Absolutely loved it! Food was fabulous, staff was excellent, and they gave a tour of the kitchen to boot.
Exquisite tastes, attention to detail. Excellent service. Polenta to die for
We went during Restaurant Week. The meal was disappointing. There wasn't much flavor or spicing to most of what we ordered. However, our neighbors said that normally the food is excellent. We will have to go back, but not during Restaurant Week.
Good food and service for a small city... Decent location, but tough parking... Staff is friendly, and food is decent. I'd go back if I visit again.
Awesome creative dishes in a beautiful Santa Fe patio setting. Service was excellent and very attentive. Fresh fish options in New Mexico is really appreciated. A little too pushy with trying to sell the cookbook and didn't like the restaurant added tip, but otherwise perfect.
Wonderful! Cant wait to go again!
Just had an amazing dinner with my wife while visiting Santa Fe. Nice quiet restaurant, flavorful sea food selections, and loved the artwork. Knowledgable and friendly staff. If you get there at beginning of dinner service, finding parking is easy. Make reservations if you can. Would recommend the Lana Rioja (2010)
Hyh
Wonderful food & presentation. Excellent dining experience!
I am always a bit suspect of restaurants that pitch their won merch and cookbooks. But Restaurant Martin held up. The menu was innovative and fresh with a beautiful presentation accompanied by excellent service. There are some good bargains on the wine menu if you look closely. And both the indoor and outdoor spaces are lovely places to have a meal that is both delicious to eat and well paced in its delivery.
The best dessert ever!! Excellent customer service from the waitress Graciela!
Excellent food, great service, great patio! The only downside is one shared by many Santa Fe restaurants - the parking is very limited, with no adjacent street parking options.
I have been to Restaurant Martin twice in the last two months. Both meals were very middling and forgettable. This use to be a great restaurant but it seems to have lost it's way and is coasting on past reviews.
Good place but does not match the reviews and expectation. Nothing that stayed in my memory.
Excellent service, great presentation and amazing food
Beautiful patio setting, excellent food, attentive service. Good job Restaurant Martin!
Overall, we had an amazing experience. The food was incredible - some of the best duck breast I have ever had. Their focus on quality ingredients is evident in selection and flavor. There was a relatively solid price range for wine. The service was reminiscent of a European approach, but it felt like one additional server would allow more promptness overall. Our server was pretty rusty with the menu, not entirely able to answer questions about the source, and after talking with her it became clear that accommodating a dairy allergy was not likely. No table-side presentation of the courses, in fact food was set down rather hurriedly by the back-wait. Parking is tough. They say the devil is in the details, and Restaurant Martin could benefit from tightening up the details, which seems fair when entrees start at $29.
We don't eat out often but I've been to Martin's twice in a month to take guests there. Very sophisticated tastes, incredible food, with a simple and unpretentious atmosphere. I'm very pleased with the quality of the food and service. We had butternut squash soup with shrimp, and salmon with bok choy, small onions, and garlic spinach. Very refined flavors, only for those with a good palate which may explain some of the bad reviews.

We had hoped to sit on patio but weather forced us inside. This is just one of Santa Fe's finest dining establishments and it lives up to its reputation.
Food was delicious. Had dinner with my friend who I hadn't seen for a while. Celebrated our birthdays. The owner was so nice, send us a fabulous dessert. Thank you!
Once of the best I have ever been to. Service was fantastic and the food was perfect. 4 people and 3 different meals. Everyone was completely satisfied. Can't wait to go back.
A major disappointment. Like others, we had been urged to change our reservation from another restaurant to this one by a local art dealer. Service was friendly but uneven and most food disappointing. Surprising for this type of restaurant only wine and beer; no liquor or mixed drinks. Tuna tartar great. Duck breast rubbery and tasted like prepackaged or even precooked Maple Farms. Fish okay but over salted. Vegetarian nicely plated but mostly unremarkable. Two in our group said they were splitting an appetizer. Without mentioning it beforehand they were charged a $3 supplement. Seems improbable to have received high reviews.
Incredible in every way. Spectacularly complex flavors, perfect service.
Part of restaurant crawl Santa Fe School of Cooking best stop
Good
We had a special group dinner here. The appetizers were so good I could have just eaten them for my meal. We had ceviche, duck BBQ and quinoa bites with cheese. Great wine choices to accompany each course. Salad, steak and the richest chocolate lava cake.
Great food. Greatest serviceً high quality price fair given the food and service
Vegetarian dinner unusual and delicious.
Interesting food
I took my mother here for lunch and I will never bother returning. Our server was completely focused on serving the higher ticket tables and we waited for drinks that never came and very mediocre food once it arrived. If my mother hadn't wanted to try the food here so badly, I would have gotten up and walked out after waiting 15 minutes for the server to take a drink order he never delivered. Maybe they are better for dinner, but looking at the crowd on the patio for lunch I believe that we were treated poorly because our server assumed we weren't going to rack up a lunch ticket high enough to be worth his time. Not a good way to leave your customers feeling.
Amazing! Waitstaff very knowledgeable and accommodating. One of the best dining experiences I've had. Superb food! Should get 10 stars instead of 5
Excellence!
Service is good. So noisy though. Had the vegetable plate. Not very interesting.. Rice was undercooked. We ordered the creme brulee. It was more like mexican flan. Not creamy more custard like. All in all dinner was just ok
Good food and service
Food was delicious. Had dinner with my friend who I hadn't seen for a while. Celebrated our birthdays. The owner was so nice, send us a fabulous dessert. Thank you!
Wonderful food and service.
Very nice seafood uniquely presented with excellent service, commensurate with prices . Atmosphere was a bit sleepy & bar area not engaging while waiting for table.
Awesome food, service, ambience, and oresentatiom
10 hundred million stars is more accurate maybe more. My favorite visit is Sunday brunch, from the Green Chile cheese Burger, The Cubano, or for lunch during the week I have have the Tuna Poke Bowl "WOW" is the best way to describe that one. Sitting outside in the warm weather is awesome, They can host large groups in a separate uxorious area. We are always treated with kindness, professionalism, & the food is always mouthwatering. They have lots of parking ( if you research before you drive up). We have had quiet dinner for two, brunch with family, & large groups in the event area, all 10 hundred million stars worthy!
Add this restaurant to your bucket list: phenomenal!
Once of the best I have ever been to. Service was fantastic and the food was perfect. 4 people and 3 different meals. Everyone was completely satisfied. Can't wait to go back.
Good food, good wait staff, and a nice indoor outdoor location
Elegant, relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous delicious food, absolutely a fantastic place to eat

Food was fabulous. But if you are looking for that great experience might be disappointed.
We went here with a large group during Restaurant Week recently. The service was top-notch. And the prex fix menu options were amazingly good. Normally Restaurant Week food and service is not great in Santa Fe. However this was exceptionally good and I highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic anniversary dinner here. Outstanding food, great atmosphere and service. Will be back soon!
We've never had a dinner like the 4 course Christmas dinner we just had tonight. Truly out of this world! Compliments to Chef Rios and staff.
If I could give 6 stars that's what I would do for this place. Delicious food and incredibly knowledgeable and attentive staff.
We came to this restaurant because of the accolade's for Chef Martin. He was obviously off when we visited. Completely disappointed. All four of us ordered entrees and desserts and agreed that the salmon, chicken, elk and steak, seemed as if they were precooked and simply warmed up. Like airplane food. Although the plates were put together nicely, the vegetables tasted like they came out of a bag and reheated. Please think twice before spending $200+ at the place, IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
we finally made it to restaurant martin on our latest trip to santa fe. we absolutely loved the place. lovely room, understated in decor, interesting art on the walls. friendly, efficient, knowledgeable service. interesting reasonably priced wine list. the food is the real star - don't miss the spring pea soup. we can't wait to return on our next visit to santa fe.
Love this place!
Over rated. The crab cakes were soggy/mushy. The spinach salad was nothing to write home about. Will not go back. Really bad value. About as good as Taco Bell
Very impressive restaurant. Excellent service and fantastic food. Great spot for a date or special celebration. Recommend the patio for sure!
We all use to really like this place. They have a wonderful outdoor dining area. Unfortunately the food was really liking in seasoning and the service was not very good on our visit last week. We spoke to some other people who feel the same recently about the decline in the restaurant. Hope they will get it together as the food is too pricy for these things to happen.
Excellent experience. Staff was very welcoming. We were incredibly happy with everything we tried. Will come back when the patio is open.
Thank god we had our own steak knife! Ok everything. Not extraordinary in any way.
Always a special treat! The chefs choice is always interesting!
Excellent, the service was exceptional. The food was awesome. I had a party of 18, and there was no delay in service. Waitstaff was very accommodating, and polite. I highly recommend.
Unbelievable food! Incredible presentation! Beautiful patio! Great service! Great wine list! Foodies can't go wrong here.
Didn't live up to its big reputation. Decor is terrible food is good but nothing special. Service was below average. Plenty of better choices in Santa Fe at that price point.
Absolutely amazing food and service. If I could give them a 6, I would.
Very impressive restaurant. Excellent service and fantastic food. Great spot for a date or special celebration. Recommend the patio for sure!
Wonderful food and service. It made our Christmas Eve extremely special. Thank you!
Great food and service
Had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal there with my family. The food was impeccable, and the service was professional. Yes, it's very expensive, but it was worth it as a special indulgence.

The menu is small, the food is always solid.
Excellent food and service. Pricey, but worth it.
Great food
Still the best in Santa Fe.
Fantastic restaurant with great food, service, prices and atmosphere.
Lunch or dinner, always wonderful
