Food was a 5 star. SERVICE was a total ZERO. Do NOT be seated or served in JONATHON’s section. Doesn’t bring you what you need or ask for. Argues with you. From the beginning of being seated tried to sell us his shirt off his back for more, carries extra gel pens to sell you. More focus on that then on food service. Manager Jesus was very apologetic and helpful. Will go back but NOT waited on by Jonathon.
Personally fond of the key lime pie
Excellent family style restaraunt! I LOVE it!!
The location on Rio Grande needs to step up their game. I ordered Heuvos con Queso, which arrived sans pinto beans and ice cold potatoes. My guest ordered a side of bacon which was also cold. When the server, who took an excessively long time to refill out coffee, was told about the cold food, she nonchalantly said ok and turned around and walked away, obviously not taking the time to notify management. I can understand a bad meal, but the unmistakenly bad service basically tells me that I should spend my money elsewhere. I will not be returning to this location. There is nothing extraordinary about the food or this restaurant.
Food is healthy, delicious Americana with a NM flair! And the decorating is adorable.
Excellent service, great food, and nice atmosphere. Keto friendly too!
Great service and great food and great friends.

Super Delicious! Not only was the food outstanding, but also the service was wonderful. My whole family of 10 went for breakfast and it was delightful and scrumptious.
Good food and not baby portions
Great food great service and great atmosphere. Loved it.
We left........no servers, poor management
Completely New Mexico. Great food and ambiance.
Delicious and wonderful service!! Our family favorite
Ok so let me say I always enjoy the food here. It was very good food and everyone enjoyed our time there. The main reason they don't get 5 stars is because of simple errors. Eggs weren't over easy, only got asked if I'd like more coffee once an they never brought the promised condiments to one of the people in the party.
The food is great and the staff is awesome!
Great quesidilla and coconut cream pie! Our server, Katie, was fun and made our meal enjoyable. The Range seldom disappoints.
Albuquerque staple, always delicious food with friendly service. They'll put green chile in or on just about everything on the menu, including hot cocoa. Generous portions and tasty food make this my default choice for brunch with friends or family. Blue corn pancakes if I'm feeling breakfast, or a chicken fried steak (smothered in green chile gravy) if it's a little later.
I went at 3 PM so nobody was there basically. Ordered onion rings, which were decent but greasy. Ordered taco salad and it was great, fresh. The shell was old tasting. Nice decor.
Colossal taco salad Outstanding blue corn chile rellenos Over-the-top desserts
Great food and friendly staff, with a full bar.
Convenient to my house. Their food is great!
Love the range. The chile relleno is the best!
You get a free dessert on your birthday! Even at breakfast. Very nice and homely, lots of stuff on the menu, pastries and alcohol. Building was originally a burger king, then a gas station. I am happy to say that they do have ample bicycle parking.
Good food, good atmosphere. Family friendly.
Green chili stew was full of veggies, that to me, dont belong in it. Didn't like it at all.
It's just ok, I'm not sure why this place is poplar other than it's distance from Old Town. The food is nothing special. The wait staff is friendly and attentive.
Oh I just love to eat at the Range.I've never have been disappointed when I go eat there. The staff is very nice.Beautiful dining room..when my family comes in from out of town I always take them there. They always enjoy eating there.
Great French toast. Very pleasant waiter. Fun building to be inside.
Amazing food and very frienly and accommodating staff.
The food, dining room, and the server's all are worth the money and business! Yummy and delicious!!
Upon first glance, the place didn't seem that big but inside it was massive. We had this place recommended to us and it was really good. We got a few things, macaroni and cheese and their green chili stew. The stew wasn't very spicy, but it was delicious. The mac was some of the cheesiest I've ever eaten. Definitely going back.
Great food and service
Love the atmosphere, and service...the portions are large...food was really good!
Amazing atmosphere . very tasty food . I will be going again for sure
Nice place to grab a bit and have a beer. Food was good.
Excellent food and service. Wait for table still too long
Personally fond of the key lime pie
VERY friendly service, food was super tasty & great seating! My daughters and I were stuffed! Great place to go to!
Service was great and the place was nice, food was okay. I ordered the New Mexico Benny and the egg yolks were solid. I didn't have time to wait to fix it so I just ate them which I am sure they would have. Still recommend both the location and the range in general.
This was my first time here at this place and i really enjoyed it there. Great service great food......
Great food and lots of it. Friendly staff who are quick and courteous. Coffee is good which is a must. Neat decor in the restaurant and surprisingly spacious.
Good food and service. Great decor.
We visit this place generally just for late night dessert. The service is adequate. The food is generally good.
good food large portions and fun decor
Food is extremely delicious and the portion sizes are so generous that my husband and I could easily split an entree and an appetizer and have leftovers to take home. Definitely going to have to return and try more or their food.
I love this place. It’s a good restaurant to take your parents when they visit. Good quality New Mexican food and they will work with you and let your parents know which food is too spicy for northerners. I recommend doing brunch here then heading to old town for a walkabout.
Enjoyed the food. Our server Tyler was awesome and patient with us. Never felt rushed with anything. He was very forthright in telling us about the dishes and made some recommendations. I would eat there again and request Tyler every time.
Relleno burger is awesome.
Oh, I love The Range and all the restaurants in this small local chain. And the food is generally pretty good and consistent. BUT the service here was not. At best, it was very forgetful. No wonder this wonderful restaurant in this WONDERFUL location was so empty. No excuse for the MANY small errors. No excuse for waitstaff that look like their hair is unwashed. I really hope this improves.
Good food and plenty of art across every wall from local artist of new Mexico
Never a bad meal at any Range Cafe. This time with a large group and we were served quickly and well.
Food was super tasty! The décor is whimsical and entertaining! Great family place!
Very clean and super fast service!
The range cafe is a very relaxed and tasty restaurant. I enjoy there friendly service. There tea is one of my favorites.
Good food, crazy Sunday Brunch. Staff was awesome. Just was a bit slow on kitchen.
Carne adovada slow roasted was the best savory, juicy, and flavorful dish I've had!
Good breakfast. Plenty of food. Great service.
Food is extremely delicious and the portion sizes are so generous that my husband and I could easily split an entree and an appetizer and have leftovers to take home. Definitely going to have to return and try more or their food.
Good place to eat, love the food native New Mexican style and the pictures on the wall are very nice and comes with a price on each of them so if u have extra money in your pocket you can go home with a nice masterpiece. All in all lovely place and very friendly staff
The service is fast and courteous, and the food is always good.
A really adorable place! The staff is quite pleasant and nice! Maybe something was off but when I went in but definitely not stellar service! It’s got such cute decor too; it’s dreamy and very New Mexican! The food was so good my family couldn’t help but keeping picking off of each other’s plates.
Was just sitting in the parking lot. But I had a breakfast in the past was good.
Friendly staff. I got the basic breakfast and the eggs and sausage were cold. My husband got the Apple French toast and the apple syrup was pretty tart. Very fun atmosphere! I would try it again.
Went to the new one on Rio Grande blvd. Very nice facility, it was really busy. The staff handle it well. Friendly, happy servers. Of course the food was great!
Another great range cafe location! My first time at this one. We all enjoyed our breakfast and good coffee. Fluffy omelettes (had the veggie with green Chile, which really should be standard), great pancakes and huevo rancheros. Leave space for some of the best desserts in town.
Love, love, love the Range. Especially, the blue corn Chile rellenos. Eat them in Bernalillo, eat them on Rio Grande Blvd in ABQ, eat them on Coors Blvd in ABQ. Haven't gotten to other locations, but I will! Also, my non-New Mexican husband loves that they serve an array of food that is delicious and free of the chilies I hold so dear.
Yum! Great food, huge servings , great service.!!!
I ordered Tom's Meatloaf with brown gravy....it came out with white gravy. Our very sweet waitress immediately noticed and explained she would take the plate to be corrected.....the cook scrapped (some not all) of the white gravy off and put brown gravy on top and sent the plate out to the table. Extremely disappointing. Will not be returning.
Great food, drinks & amazing desserts!
This place was pretty good. It was loud and busy but it was very easy to find. The food was pretty tasty and the service was pretty fast once we got through the 30 minute wait. The server was super nice and the queso was excellent! Plus there is a cool old vending machine that dispenses unique art from local artists.
The atmosphere was whimsical! I had the salmon with chutney and potatoes and green beans. The green beans seemed old and crispy in some places. The salmon was awesome but that wasn't chutney....that was apple butter. And the mashed potatoes had the consistency of over watered potato flakes. Everything was very expensive for what you got. I don't recommend.
Love this place.... Awesome desserts!
Great place for your family to enjoy great food!!! most of all great service thanks to their manager Joe Olsen!!!
Awesome service and delicious food!
Great food and service
The Range on Rio Grande is a great place to unwind... have some awesome home style food with a bit of New Mexico flair. Casual... tons of easy parking... service is great! Friendly folks will help guide you you through menu options if you're uncertain. Don't forge to check out the tasty baked goods for dessert... you won't walk away hungry!
The Spinash enchiladas are the Bomb with their cilantro rice. Very tasty and cheesy indeed.
The best all ways. Best huevos rancheros & green chile stips in albuquerrque. Great service & atmosphere as well.
The food is very good and always consistent! The wait staff are awesome.
Great servers, and atmosphere, food is always amazing
Yum, yummy, next time im in new Mexico ill stop and have the blue pancakes again!!
Great food and service......
Tasty Southwestern fare, burgers, salads and more in a relaxed setting. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it was among the best examples of the dish I've ever had. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are good. Highly recommended.
Used to be a reugular place for me and the family. We went last night only to find that they completely changed the menu eliminating most of the items . The food variety is aweful. Im so sad to see this change but will be happy to give our business elsewhere. Unless your getting a baked good here i would definately advise people not to eat there. There no more local favorites. Its like they are now catering to a different culture and charging way to much for the limited items now offered.
Server was excellent. Food great. Thanks.
I rarely post reviews but after my experience at this location yesterday, I feel it’s worth posting about. If it wasn’t for the amazing staff, this review would be a 2 star. Food was fine but management needs work on customer service and organization. There was an obvious lack of communication between management, staff, and customers on a holiday. Knowing that it’s going to be a busy day, one would think there would be more organization for their check in/seating process but there wasn’t even enough room to wait in their lobby. Hosts were visibly frustrated. We waited an hour for a table after being told it would take thirty minutes; it was a holiday, yes, but the host lacked the ability to stay organized and communicate with guests. An amazing bartender went out of her way to do everything she could to get us a table after they skipped our name three times and her help was much appreciated. Our waitress also had amazing customer service and could teach the main manager on duty something about how to treat guests. I understand that it was busy but displaying clear agitation with our group by throwing our menus at a table and storming off isn’t how we expected to be treated on Mother’s Day. I could go on about our waitress and the bartender that helped us; some of the most amazing customer service I have experienced at a restaurant in NM! Those two truly made our day and changed a frustrating experience to a memorable holiday for us all.
Stopped in for an early dinner and loved the scenery. Ordered breakfast and the green chili is amazing. We split key lime pie for dessert, four stars for the slice being extremely small based on what other establishments serve. Tiny sliver of pie was $6. Good food, great Diet Coke, and local artwork displayed on the walls. Worth the stop for sure if you're in ABQ.
Good place to eat. Hostess didn't seem like she really wanted to be there. Basically speed walking to the tables, dropping off the menu and b lining it back to the podium before customers even made it to their tables. Other than that. Decent place.
Food and bakery was good , it is clean and Aline gave us excellent service.
We love it but the service is not as good as the other locations.
This has an Albuquerque New Mexico field to it. so does the food and so do the staff this is the place to stop if you are visiting old Town. The staff here makes you feel at home and the food makes you wobble out come in and enjoy.
Great atmosphere- fun and attentive staff and great food- in a convenient location near I40. Be warned, the portions are HUGE! I ordered a bowl of soup and the leftovers filled my bowl at home twice! My favs: green chili strips (with tons of the jalapeno ranch sauce), tomato bisque, and nachos! (The green beans were pretty awesome too..I managed to sneak away a couple from my hubby's plate!)
Great breakfast food, excellent coffee too! GF friendly
So good I came back with my dad and grandpa. Good food and service. I love the art depending cigerette machine.
Was nice kid friendly service was prompt, I had the blue chip pancakes and house Turkey sausage with green chilies it was delicious. Creme brulee was ok had better wish I would have tried more desserts
Always good food and service! Keep up the good work.
Good variety of food. They have local craft beers on tap. Good place to hang with your buddies.
Clean good service. Food was very good Just right.
The food was delicious! Our server was great! She was on top of things and our food came fast for a sit down place. We loved it.
Very nice place to go for any type of meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner! The range cafe in Bernalillo is very good too!
GREAT food and prices.
I hadnt been to the Range Cafe in years. The food was as good as I remember. The decor was cool. I ordered the blue corn shredded beef enchiladas with red chili. Very yummy. Very satisfying. The server was very attentive and took care of everything we needed. I highly recommend you visit this place!!
Lots of very tasty menu offerings often with a New Mexican twist! Great ambience to boot!
Just had amazing service and customer care
This is the more colorful version of the local chain but the food is just as good and service is outstanding. The desserts are to die for even if you just stop and grab a pie or cookies to go.
Same quality of food as the Range location on Montgomery. Everything was fantastic. The location is larger inside than at first glance and is a real cozy setting. Would definitely recommend for those looking for some good food at a nice relaxing location.
Breakfast was delicious, Papa's con carne was very filling. Judging from otger diners meals, they are very large portions. Beautiful atmosphere.
we went for breakfast. everything was delicious. I couldn't eat until the next day I was stuffed. I had two giant pancakes with a side of eggs and a sausage. My entire party of 6 all agreed that the food was great. convenient location a couple of blocks from old town and the Alburque hotel
Good food and service. I loved the decor, it added to the overall experience. They seem to be consistant because both times I've eaten at the Range Cafe they have exceeded my expectations. I recommend this Restaurant.
The food was good an hour and a half after arriving. Service was horrible. We received water and in over 2 hours we had two refills. We almost never saw our waiter (who was apparently the bartender) and after an hour stopped a waitress to ask about our meals. She checked on them and offered an apology for the mix up. Still no waiter in sight. After another 25 minutes we had out meals. They were very good. We were offered a discount on the meal for the delay, but when the bill came there was no discount. It will be a long time before I return based on the level of service; and I will not recommend it to others without detailing my experience.
This was fantastic. I've never been to this location, but I have been to the others, and this one is really showing what the range cafe can be. Our service was wonderful, and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the biscuits and gravy deluxe and my wife had the oatmeal with cinnamon ice cream. Both were incredible. We now have our new favorites. My grandmother was a true southern cook, and made biscuits and gravy for me in my youth, but I have never found anything close to them anywhere else until now. They are almost exactly like what she made. If you're hungry, go get your food here. You won't be sorry one bit. Sorry about the picture of the biscuits, by the way. I had taken a couple bites before the picture was taken.
Great as usual at an affordable price. The layout/architecture was done expertly at this location; lots of tables but the ceiling height makes it all good so you can hear each other easily! Must go!
Enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. They've done a good job remodeling an old Burger King, believe it or not. I wish they had something better than cardboard straws for their drinks.
Had a very nice breakfast, huevos rancheros was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was very friendly. Sorry no pics, I ate it to fast.
Always great customer sevice. Kelly is the best! Great food also. Best desserts, ever!!!
My first time here. Great location and the food was perfect. Chicken fried steak and green chile gravy, and blue corn relleno plate was delish. Tyler was friendly and helpful with my food allergies. Will definitely be back!
Tortilla soup was very good. Key Lime pie was wonderful
I ate my first New Mexican meal, with the famed green and red chilies. And it did not disappoint. It was so good I even ate the tomatoes, and I think tomatoes are suspect at best.
Stopped by to pick up a dessert for my husband and I on the way home from a friends. We got a lovely mocha chocolate cake that was tasty, beautifully decorated with a subtle whipped mocha Chantilly type frosting. It was delightful and not cloyingly sweet.
Best shrimp tacos! Delicious Creme brulee overall great restaurant.
Place very clean. food fresh and hot, service was fast, server kind and friendly kept checking to see if we needed anything highly recommended large servings
Awesome food & our server was absolutely delightful! We will be back!
Love their lattes and carne con papas breakfast
What a quirky and distinctly New Mexico place... And the food was luscious, the service was exceptional.
Always good to eat here. One star off for noise. Otherwise I love it
Stopped in for an early dinner and loved the scenery. Ordered breakfast and the green chili is amazing. Good food, great Diet Coke, and local artwork displayed on the walls. Worth the stop for sure if you're in ABQ.
It was my first time eating here and was extremely pleased with everything! I ordered the Range Roundup and I enjoyed it very much, the biscuit was cooked just right and the potatoes were great just like the eggs and everything else it's loaded with. If you like cheese potatoes then I think you should try it!
Food was great. We had breakfast and the portions were huge.
The dude was very nice
Great place to eat a lil pricey but to be expected for the food and quantity
It was ok. Food was great. Service was a bit slow and sidetracked. I have been a few other times and service was better so just know 50 50.
Good place to eat. Hostess didn't seem like she really wanted to be there. Basically speed walking to the tables, dropping off the menu and b lining it back to the podium before customers even made it to their tables. Other than that. Decent place.
Bar tenders personality was like talking to a rock. Place was empty, I know why now.
This is a definite stop and eat. We ordered the Bkue Corn Pancakes, Biscuits and Gravy Deluxe, and 3 eggs over easy. The food was delicious. We ate too much. This definitely the spot where the locals come to eat. Plenty of parking. Our server Jonathan was attentive yet did not hover. Great food, great experience. We are in town for 4 more days. We will be back for another meal.
Atmosphere is excellent. I had the children fried chicken with mashed potatoes. My meal was excellent except the green beans were very hard They have a long list of locally brewed beers that pretty much would satisfy anyone's taste. I definitely would return.
This was my first time at this location. It's really quite wonderful in some ways. Big, open, friendly. I like that it is a local establishment. Lots of local establishment's are starting to seem more alike than different, though, so the atmosphere, while polished and whimsical, feels like A LOT of other 'local' places. Service was great. Prices reasonable. Food spot on. I would go back with out of town guest. At least it is not a microbrewery.
It was busy and still super fast, the restaurant is beautiful. Service was amazing and the food with the range is always good. I think recently they switched to using a different coffee roast and it's much, much better! Makes breakfast even better!
Really great food. I had their blue corn panckakes which were excellent. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant is very clean with really cool decor inside. Highly recommend this place.
Great service from our waiter. Drinks never went empty. Food and drinks were delicious
Great location and great food. The servings are very generous. I had the combination plate and it was more than enough.
Came in for just dessert - Death by Lemon excellent. Great almost, cheerful and helpful server. Looking forward to returning for a full meal.
Goid food nice atmosphere. One of my favorites. Open not crowded like Wyoming location.
Awesome service and food
Pizza was good overall the crust was really good . The pizza is very thin though . A family of 3-4 can easily eat a jumbo pizza . One person can eat a regular pizza if they are hungry enough . But overall good flavor just not a lot comes with it .
Busy on Mother's Day but worth the wait.
Very busy on long weekends! But if you're patient & order a muffin, or cookie from the dessert case you'll be fine, it's totally worth it, food is consistent & good even when they're backed up, servers are professional, affordable
I had the chicken fried steak and just wasn't impressed. The portions were small and they prepared the green beans in some sort of vinegar solution. The facility was nice and the staff were very friendly.
I loved the scene and the staff. An oddly hip but diverse place with great food and great servers.
The food is good. The green chili was really good.
Wow! Delicious food and pretty dining room. Try the enchiladas and if you don't have room for dessert, get some to go!
Every time I go there, its a different experience..it depends on whos waiting on my table. When I have to ask for silverware..the last two times i went...I think its time to try somewhere else.
Great food, great drinks and great service! 5 stars was an easy choice!
Great food with a southern home cooked experience. Friendly staff and great service.
Great food, New Mexican cuisine with great desserts
Very welcoming! Service was excellent and the food was delicious!
Food is great. I had country fried steak, others at my table had sandwiches or salad. The location was super busy, and you should expect that especially if you go on a Sunday for lunch. What I didn't expect was attitude from our server. He took our drink and appetizer order, and then we didn't see him at our table for a while, even though he was at other tables. I flagged him down, reminded him about our stuff. When this happens, and it does at any restaurant, they apologize, or at least acknowledge our issue and go get the stuff. This guy made it seem like I was keeping him from getting our drinks by flagging him down. A bit of attitude. I kept thinking back to what I said to him. Maybe I was rude? No I didn't think so. It made the rest of the meal at our table a bit uncomfortable. I would go back, hopefully not the same server though.
Great place to come if you want New Mexican food with a twist.
Atmosphere is excellent. I had the children fried chicken with mashed potatoes. My meal was excellent except the green beans were very hard They have a long list of locally brewed beers that pretty much would satisfy anyone's taste. I definitely would return.
Came here for the first time a few weeks back, finally got around to reviewing. This establishment had a very laid back environment, Definitely a spot to unwind with family or friends. The food was great tasting, super savory and very filling. I had the biscuits and gravy which i loved very much. Reccomend to any and all.
Walking in, there's a sign telling you to find the hostess station. You have to search all over just to have someone tell you where to sit. Service was VERY SLOW & the waitress was forgetful regarding ordering, getting water, food, catsup, the bill. I asked for a dessert menu at the beginning & she brought the bill before the dessert menu. Then she wanted to give me two tickets to pay! The place is VERY noisy. The ONLY saving grace was that the food was good -- green chili cheeseburger & fries.
Atmosphere, Food and service
Breakfast with the family. Made to order & delicious!
Amazing place for Mexican cuisine. And good service.
