Great place if you like seafood. A little pricey but then again good seafood always is. Seems to always be busy which is a good sign. Popular place for lunch. Seems like a lot of business takes place here. Huge round tables for groups up to 10 people. They do allow you to make reservations if need be. Very open atmosphere so it can get a little noisy but nothing that requires you to scream at each other.

The waiter we had was amazing and wanted me to try many different things. Even the non alcoholic beverages were delicious! I ordered a Caribbean lobster tail with shrimp and decided I wanted another lobster tail it was extremely satisfying! It was my birthday today and the waiter let me pick any desert I picked the praline cheesecake he put a candle on top just for me. The praline cheesecake was the most exquisite desert I have ever had it just melted in my mouth! They made my day extra special! The atmosphere was kinda of loud but I enjoyed my food so much that the noise floated away into an obilivian to. I give this restaurant a 5 out 5 the service was amazing and the food was delicious!!!

Normally, people complain about food taking forever to be brought to a table, and as this has happened to me plenty of times at other places, I empathize. Our food here came almost too quickly. Before you assume I'm a whiny Yelper trying desperately to complain about something, let me explain. Our meals (there were only 2 of us, to be fair...) came out five minutes after our appetizers arrived. Although convenient, and although we appreciated the speediness of it all, this left hardly any time to enjoy the first course. We were stuffing our faces just because it was all there so quickly...which brings me to my second point. The food tasted incredible. I have no complaints about the quality of food, service, cleanliness, or anything else, which is saying something about this place. Incredible place to eat and I will be back.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are great, the food is fabulous and the restaurant itself is beautiful/artistic. I eat both lunch and dinner (special occasions) here. For small appetites, almost anything on the Appetizer Menu section will make a great meal.

Was traveling through Albq with my family and stop to eat. We are a big fan of Pappadeaux. This location has to have been the worse one we ate at. The flavor was just not on point. After spending as much as we did on 5 people i was hoping for an amazing taste. I hope they can improve there dishes but i will not be stopping at this location again

Great seafood and service in the middle of Albuquerque. Two of us stopped in for a late lunch. The grounds are well maintained, and the inside has a NOLA feel complete with prints, and gas lamps reminiscent of Bourbon St. My companion was allergic to shrimp and opted for the fried catfish. We were a little alarmed when the waiter mentioned that the manager was coming to speak with us. The manager stated that they have an allergy protocol to ensure that there was no cross contact with the allergen for safety. We both had the fried catfish, fries. Mine was the lunch special with the shrimp etouffee which was the first time I ever tried it- delicious. It is a bit pricey, but good portion size, excellent service, and atmosphere.

Fish came out raw. Then it was taken back, reheated and came back over cooked and my side was ice cold. Service was really poor. The few times I've gone, it hasn't been great. It's really starting to go down hill which is too bad.

First-time visit at this Albuquerque NM location. High marks for exterior visual appeal. Our party of four was seated within 2 minutes and served quicker than expected. Server was prompt, courteous and experienced. Our meals were as expected. AWESOME!

As someone that can't handle spicy food I was unimpressed my first time here, especially for the price. It's quite expensive as well. Ordered a seafood sampler platter and asked for no heat, didn't know that everything would come out with no flavor as well. Apparently the flavor they are known for is always spicy. The service was good and variety on the menu is intriguing. Will probably give it another shot at some point and try it as intended.

All 3 whole fish entrees that were served at our table were served in a pool of clarified butter. I had to leave the butternut squash on my plate behind, I just couldn't stomach the level of fat. The red snapper was delicious, and the creme brulee was superb, but man that level of fat just really threw the meal off. Overall, it was good but way greasy.

Made a reservation and went with some friends. We were seated just before our reservation time. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Brochette and it was delicious. The dirty rice exceeded my expectations as well. The server was very friendly. Service was a little on the slow side but to their credit, they were pretty busy in my opinion.

The grouper with lump crab meat and grilled shrimp was great! You can't go wrong here, but this dish was an excellent choice. Glad I ordered the seafood gumbo to start things off, it did not disappoint. The service was top notch, and atmosphere was cool and comfortable sitting at the bar.

I took my wife to a pre-mother's day treat and we weren't disappointed. The salmon was delicious. It was moist and flavorful. Our waiter Jamie was great. He even laughed at My dad jokes. My previous review was not as praiseworthy but Pappadeux's provided an opportunity to revisit and they didn't disappoint. However, the kitchen does need to supply the waiters what they need, when they need it or get another method for extras like melted, whipped butter, honey or whatever else the customer needs on short notice. Keep it going forward, I love it.

Awesome Experience! This was our first time at Pappadeaux and I'm extremely impressed! We didn't have reservations and were seated immediately on a busy Friday night. Our waitress Alyson was super sweet and very attentive. The manager Tasha was informed this was our first time attending and gave us a complimentary dessert. The food was delicious! Seriously some of the best salmon I've ever had. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an awesome experience!

Pretty good. We lived in New Orleans so it didn't compare to the food there, but still pretty good. The stuffed crab is delicious tho! I love the vibe of the outdoor seating and the beautiful garden. Very well groomed. You can will most likely walk out of here paying more than $100 for two, so be prepared.

When you walk in the doors, you're greeted wwith a warm welcome. The interior is large and beautifully decorated. There are lots of tables to accommodate their popularity so it can feel over crowded. The food is near perfection in how it's cooked but the presentation falls short...not that you'll notice after that first bite. The servers are friendly and go above and beyond. They help each other out to give you the best service. They don't have a large crab or fish selection if that's your thing but they do offer other seafood items you wouldn't expect like grilled octopus! The cost is a bit high for some items but remember, you're paying for the whole dining experience.

I literally just walked out of Pappadeux in Albuquerque. My meal was very disappointing, and management was also a disappointment, to say the least. Having ordered Shrimp Etoufee at other Pappadeux locations, I had been looking forward to ordering It here in Albuquerque. We are from out of town, so we planned a last meal at Pappadeux before flying out later tonight. So I ordered my favorite dish, Shrimp Etoufee, with high expectations. Imagine my disappointment when this greasy mess was brought to the table! This dish never should have been served. An Etoufee is supposed to have a velvety sauce, with no grease. As an example, a properly executed Etoufee can be found from Pappadeux in Houston Hobby airport. Since we had to catch a plane, I ate the shrimp but had to blot the grease off of each one. I did take a photo of it, and compared it to the photo of my Etoufee from Pappadeux in Houston. You can see the difference! On my way out, I asked for the manager, a petite Asian woman. I showed her the photos, and while apologetic, she did not offer any compensation for this poor meal. I did not expect compensation, but as a professional, she should have offered a gift card or a credit. “I’m sorry” isn’t adequate for a poorly executed dish, especially one that has been documented with photos. The manager should have insisted upon making it right. So there you have it. A one star rating, based on the manager. And of course, one star for the poorly executed, greasy Etoufee.

First off, the food was delicious! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits or the crawfish bisque. My family and I ate here last night and it was very busy, must have been the dinner rush. Katie was our waitress and she took great care of us. Despite the numerous other tables she must have been waiting on, she kept our drinks filled and made sure to check in on us every so often. She was wonderful and made our family dinner so pleasant! She visited with us and was just the sweetest :) We will be back again and will make sure to ask for Katie!

The food here is amazing, let's get that straight from the start. In addition, the service was top notch. The singular complaint I have is the menu pricing. This is a chain seafood restaurant off of a highway, and it cost $130 for lunch for 3 (before tip). No alcohol or other high priced drinks were ordered, just 1 appetizer and 3 lunch menu entrees. Again the food is great, but this isn't a fancy New York bistro or the hot new restaurant in Los Angeles, yet its priced similarly.

Just moved here from east coast, and this is the first one that blew me away. I have been searching for a good food joint and I tried several recommendations from friends. They were are all okay but I would always compare them to my previous city and go, I have had better. Pappadeaux was different. It was the first one that I thought this one is way better than what I had back home. Really exquisite food. The portions are huge so I would suggest sharing entries with friends and family. Definitely visiting again soon.

So looking at the website, I did not realize that this restaurant would be as fancy as it is. Not that you have to wear nice clothes or anything specific, but it is definitely a higher end place. It is all seafood. My mom ordered the only chicken dish, and it was quite nice. We ordered 2 appetizers which were both huge. One was their version of mozzarella sticks, but they were bite size instead of sticks. Very nice choice for a shared appetizer. My pasta was very good, the sausage was somewhat spicy in my opinion, but that isnt unexpected for a cajun dish. Lol. The desserts were amazing. I might even recommend just going there for good dessert.

This is a really good chain restaurant. Best seafood I have in abq and some of the best service. That was surprising tok considering it was mothers day and we didn't have a reservation. We were able to sit down right away and everything was prompt, friendly, and tasty as hell. Seriously, best seafood in town I have had so far. But be prepared to shell out 50$ or more a person. Especially with drinks (Which are also good)

My wife and I had a gift card here, and we decided to use it. We had never been, so we weren't sure what you expect. It was an excellent experience! The staff went out of their way to make sure that there weren't any allergy issues, and the food was cooked perfectly. We are from New Orleans, and this place does not disappoint! We have been here several times, and the food is always excellent, the atmosphere great, the service impeccable, and the bar glasses sparkling. The appetizers are all wonderful, and the alligator and sauce is divine! We live in Southwestern New Mexico, and come here every time we get the chance. Maybe the most delicious meal I've ever had. Fresh salad w/wonderful BC dressing, nicely fried oysters & great crispy, salty fries, warmed baguette & butter. Best part was the bread pudding dessert with vanilla ice cream & bourbon cream! Service was friendly, helpful and prompt. Prices are VERY expensive. The place is also hard to find.
