Never ate at this restaurant. Talked my mom into trying it with me. As I walked in I was the one under dressed. At first I thought that the atmosphere was a bit for the rich. The waitress and the owner or owner's wife was amazing. They gave us a break down of the menu and told us what some of the favorites were. They also brought us some treats ahead of our meal to try. There food is definitely delicious and their menu is well diverse. I ate the green chili lasagna and who would have thought this would be a masterpiece of delicious flavor's. I believe my mom got fish and chips she ate every last bit and she let me try the fish was delectable! Please visit Nick & Jimmy's you will not regret it! The staff are amazing, the restaurant is clean, and the food is definitely a work of art in the culinary industry! So what are you waiting for? Go get some!

First time at the restaurant I ordered the gyro special for lunch. I lived overseas and have traveled to Greece many times. Hate to say that the meat in the gyro was very bland and looked like a roast with a lot of fat. I did not eat the meat. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious.... best part of the meal was the dessert. BEST KEY LIME PIE, I have ever had in my life!!!

Here for happy hour, they food was great, everything except the hair in my food. I discreetly told the bartender, he apologized and THAT'S IT. Yuck I just had some hair in my mouth that wasn't mine. He did not offer to call the managers or owners to make them aware so they could fix the problem, I paid and just left disappointed and disgusted and paid for food I didnt even eat. YUCK Update: No ma'am, your bartender was dishonest with you, my meal was NOT comped. I have the receipt for my meal and drinks if you'd like to see it.

Way overpriced for average food you can get anywhere. So we tried this place out because I read online that they were Celiac friendly. My Mom has Celiac disease and its been tough finding places who are familiar with it and not just saying they are Gluten free to be trendy. Fortunately they had a few Gluten free options on the menu. However I was surprised on how little they knew about them. I mentioned my Mom has Celiac and is super sensitive to Gluten. The waitress then continues to offer her items with Gluten. I had to correct her a few times because she kept offering items that were not safe for Celiac and it was confusing. We arrived at 6:30pm and didn't get our food until a little after 8. It was not very busy as it was a Monday evening so I could not figure out why everything was taking so long. It took about 20 minutes for our waitress to introduce herself. When she finally came she said hi and dropped off water and bread and left without taking our drink orders or seeing if we needed anything. When she did come back to take our drink orders she got them wrong and did not come back to correct her mistake until another 15 minutes had gone by. When we explained what happened she apologized but ended up charging us for the mistake she made anyway! Finally the food came and it was average at best. They left the cheese out on my cheeseburger but I was so hungry at that point I didn't want to wait longer for her to correct another mistake. All the way around this was not a good experience and I'm really disappointed we chose to waste a night out here. There are much better options within a block radius so I would recommend any one of them over this one. We will not be dining here again.

I would have given 5 stars, because typically this place is usually one of the best restaurants in town (they also have great gluten free options) for food and service. But, the last time I went there I took a friend from out of town, raved about it before we got there... Then had horrible service, and all the food (aside from my lamb chops that were great as usual) was just very poor.

Treat yourself to the rack of lamb or cuddle up to a ribeye cooked just as you like. I'd recommend a Maker's Mark Manhattan on the rocks to make your adventure complete.

If I can give it a higher star rating I would give it a 20+. This restaurant was amazing, the people were so considered and nice. It's very clean even to their bathrooms are beautiful their food was excellent such taste. There was nothing bad nor uncomfortable about this place, very friendly. Celebrating my birthday with excellent food and service! The menu offers a wide and eclectic variety, but we were intent on steak. We had the filet mignon - a generous cut perfectly prepared to order with a great spice rub that complemented but didn't overwhelm. Breads, salads and veggies were all good, too. Service is good. Atmosphere is fine. Let's talk about the food. I tried three appetizers. Crab cake were mostly crab meat, lightly breaded, but DROWNING in butter. Calamari is non traditional in a spicy SW sauce, over deep fried, and covered in cheese. Dolmathes taste like they come from a can, although the leaf texture indicates they don't. Avgo lemeno sauce is OK. Coconut cream pie is excellent. Would like to see more Greek desserts... Bougatsa, Orange Walnut Cake, Galaktabourico, etc.

Overall the restaurant is great. It is very "upscale" in a New Mexican way. It is casual, but a place you could go for a nice celebratory meal. I had the lamb taco special. The food was great. I was not disappointed in the food. It came as advertised. The service was solid- neither outstanding nor horrid. However, it was a bit pricey for a causal lunch- however- depending on your mood it can absolutely be worth the cost. Overall, I would recommend it- the food is very good.

Looked at the menu online before we went to Nick and Jimmy's. And lo and behold there was a thank you gift certificate available. I ordered the parmesan encrusted soul, wife ordered green chile meatloaf. They were both good and added up to about $30. Gift certificate says minimum $20 purchase. Restaurant denied the use of the gift certificate because it was Sunday. Does not say anything about Sundays on that gift certificate. Kind of soured the experience probably won't go back. Close friends from out town and I decided to have a lovely dinner at Nick & Jimmy's. When we arrived we waited for over 20 min for a table. We had to wait for a large party to leave, that's fine we did not have reservations. When seated it was obvious the resturant was not packed and they could have accomidated to us by pushing two tables together. The music was so loud we could not hear the waitress or any one at the table. When the waitress talked about the specials, she pointed to the menu only. Did she not know what was on the menu or was it a hassle to say them aloud? The waitress continuously reached over plates, when taking orders and asked about ingredients her face screamed annoyance. Due to certain allergines it was necessary to be aware of ingredients, she took no initiative to finding out what the ingredients were. Being said i ordered a simply salad. I got the feeling the waitress was wanting to be anywhere but at work, we were more of a burdon than anything. Oh and the food was far below par. Needless to say I will never return and have no intentions of recommending Nick & Jimmy's. Company was good but restaurant was anything but delightful!

First time here. Came with the president and vice president of the company I work for (they recommended it) for lunch. Definitely feels like a suit and tie establishment. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. It was very good. The breading was light and non-greasy. The steak was tender and flavorful.

In a restaurant that was only half full, we waited an extremely long time after being seated to get water, bread, acknowledge that we were there. Once we got served, it was better, but the chicken kabob had the toughest chicken I have ever eaten. The gyros were good and the seafood stuffed squash was good.

Hosted a big customer of ours to lunch and highly recommended Nick & JImmy's. Well talk about embarrassment, aside from the consistent good food the service and length of time to get served was unacceptable. Waitress was not at all accommodating, didn't follow up on drinks, no apologies for time it's taking to prepare our foods. I had to walk towards the kitchen to find out why over 30 minutes and still no food. Our waitress of course standard answer they are working on your order, should be soon. Not even an I"m sorry, can I get you anything," etc. This was lunch time and a business lunch at that but embarrassment on our part to bring guests for their first time and fall this type of service. This is an established restaurant well known and popular but now I'm in question as far as patronizing or recommending it. I had the opportunity to speak with their General Manager and the above matter will be addressed. She was very engaging to listen to my concerns and assurance this will not happen again. Nick &Jimmy's is our favorite restaurant in Albuquerque. Love the atmosphere and the food is always EXCELLENT. My favorite is the Greek Chicken and my husband loves the steaks. Very generous portions. I usually have enough left over for lunch the next day. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant . Their deserts are also wonderful but I'm usually too full to order any. So glad we found this place. We always recommend Nick &Jimmy's to our friends because we know they won't be disappointed.

Pretty good restaurant for Greek food. You can tell that the workers are of Greek descent and the food is authentic. The only downside is that it caters to the Greek community of Albuquerque so you get a little less quality of service if you are not Greek.

The place is mix of Italian, Greek and New Mexican cuisine. I had spicy Italian sausage appetizer which comes with Pita triangles. Then I had the green Chile meatloaf which was fabulous. Only complaint is the potatoes were plated ahead of time and were 20 degrees cooler than meatloaf which was really nice and hot.

One of the best restaurants in Albuquerque. Perfect for a casual lunch or an intimate dinner. I've been coming here for several years, and it has been consistently excellent on every visit. Their menu spans a wide number of different cuisines, including Greek (my personal recommendation), Italian, New Mexican, and American. For lunch, I typically order a gyro -- and it's actually one of the best gyros I've had in town. For dinner, I tend to go the route of the chicken souvlaki (grilled skewers of chicken breast and peppers, which are always charred to perfection, served over a delicious rice pilaf and accompanied by the vegetable du jour). I'd also highly recommend ordering something from the grill. Their New York strip is seared to perfection and served with a peppercorn / vermouth pan sauce that perfectly coats the meat. Nick & Jimmy's is also one of the very few places that knows how to cook a pork chop properly -- never over-cooked, always well seasoned, always high quality meat -- a rare find, especially in Albuquerque. You also won't go wrong ordering New Mexican food here. Their owner also owns El Patron, one of the best New Mexican restaurants out there, and he's brought much of what made El Patron successful to Nick & Jimmy's. My favorite from the New Mexican menu is their posole -- a unique twist on the classic dish that's done in more of a French style with a perfect mouthfeel, complex flavor, and fantastic texture on the pork. The service is always great as well, and I've yet to have a bad experience. I'm especially impressed by a bartender there named Devon, who is extremely professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and prompt.

The food was delicious!!!! I feel like you can eat a medium rare steak without any sauce, that steak is cooked and seasoned very well!! And that's what we had, a great seasoned boneless rib eye steak with other great orders as well! Just all around Good food! However, our waitress was in a hurry for closing or getting off?? As we're trying to order dessert for a table of 4 adults and a child, she didn't ask if anyone else at our table wanted to par-take in dessert?? Just kind of rushed off after one person ordered?? Anyhow, that was the only negative comment I could collect from this place.

I loved going for Dinner here. I called one day to reserve private room for dinner and meeting with my staff. I was very disappointed that the manager was everything but, accommodating. It was for a Tuesday evening for 14 people. Because the Minimum amount was 20 she refused to reserve us the room. Really??, on a Tuesday evening probably slow night and she could've had new repeat business. Last time I visit that place.

The food is fantastic! The bartender was awesome. He knew how to make an actual drink the correct way. There was live entertainment in the little area off to the side of the bar. The interior is really nice. Its a fine dining experience.

We were a party of 3 for lunch. We were promptly seated and our server was quick to take our order. We let her know we were on a tight schedule but super hungry. She was amazing in getti g our orders out to us quickly without us feeling rushed. Our meals were large portions which was great to take some home for l8r and a few scraps for our doggies. Overall wonderful experience.
