This Restaurant is classified in the category of Chinese restaurant.
I've eaten at Lins in several different cities and they never disappoint. Good selection, good dishes with a good variety, and good service. Always clean and the food is cycled enough to always look appealing.
First off, you have to be careful about your Chinese buffets you go to around Albuquerque. A lot are bad and down right scary to eat at. I have found the Lin's is one of the better ones that keeps fresh food out while having a good variety. The have a grill and sushi too. Sushi isn't the best, but hey it's a buffet. The place is clean and the staff are attentive and friendly. My go to if I feel like a Chinese buffet.
Went here for a fun date night. Thought it would be at least decent however I was charged $14 per plate not including drinks. Once at the actual buffet was appalled at the food that was left out. Tried some of the fried zucchini and found it to be cold and stale. The crab was rotten, and the rest of the seafood was Highly Questionable. Then we tried the barbecue grill which was the best part of the meal but still rather disappointing. Overall I was highly disappointed in the experience and felt that it was definitely not worth the money. I've been to several other Chinese buffets that are much cheaper, have a larger variety, and are much higher quality. I am very concerned about food poisoning at this restaurant and don't recommend anyone goes here.
The food was half and half half of it didn't taste like anything and the other half tasted funny I literally went into the parking lot and hurled then I spent the rest of the night stuck in the bathroom I advise skipping this place I really would
Food was awful . . How can u possibly get steamed rice wrong? Idk but this place did it,never going back! I hated everything about this place if ur planning on it I recommend not even wasting your time
Very good food and service I recommend this place
I did NOT have an enjoyable experience!!! Crab legs werent good at all!!! Literally had to rip the legs open where they should have cracked open...had a bad experience with one of the customers and when i told the waitress about the issue, she just looked at me and walked off!! Smh wont be back
Food quality has improved since the last time I was here... about a year ago. Better than average Chinese Buffet fare. I will go back.
The owner is trip good food good service
The food was expensive and just not good. I may have caught them between lunch and dinner, but they still charged me $11 a person for older food and empty pans. My guests has the sushi and they felt that it had been sitting out too long. The cleanliness of the table was questionable as well. Go at your own risk and wait for dinnertime!
It's a great restaurant so is the owner he's helpful and he cares about people I give it two thumbs up!
I tried calling to ask about prices and all they hung up immediately, thanks for being am amazing restaurant and thank you for treating your customers well
The food is good in buffet .I think the best food is the stir fry cooked fresh.a lil pricey at dinner 13.50 per person with drinks.lunch is cheaper
Great food and service
Aweful and not getting any better
I've come here a few times. The buffet isn t as great as said in the website. Food was dry. Seemed like no one cared about making fresh food as people rolled in.
Food is good lots of appetizers BBQ and sushi bar salad and fruit bar. Just wish they had dim sum. I'm a regular.
Huge Variety of food and very attentive service!
I love chinese buffet. Ive gone to a lot of buffets. I dont think I've ever been to one and said this was awful. I guess there is a first time for everything. This place was awful. The food was cold. By cold, I mean, I felt like I was eating left overs at my house that had been left out for hours. The peach cobbler wasnt peach cobbler its consistency felt like gorilla glue and tasted like it. We went home and ended up getting sick. We should have left when we saw the empty parking lot. You live and learn but definitely dont reccomend this place.
Big selection. Decent price.
I LOVE THIS PLACE GREAT PEOPLE GREAT FOOD
The buffet last night was pitiful. However we enjoyed the made to order grilled food. It was delicious! The host and our waiter were great too.
My family and I had dinner there on 5/5/19. The food was very bland, no taste to it. A very small selection of food and the place was filthy. It was not worth the price we paid.
Well my experience at Lin's was great service from the waitress was very nice
It is the worst place I have ever eaten in Albuquerque. I have lived here for 20 years. Gross. The staff was friendly the food was discusting. No quality control. No hot butter for crab legs let alone no crab cracking tools. I normally don't comment. However this truly was that bad.
Great family setting the whole family loves this place
Great people and a great selection to match and as a bonus you can also use the hibachi bar to get fresh cooked food with your choice of ingredients. I do recommend for a Chinese buffet in Albuquerque.
The food was not that very good. Me and my family went out to eat and my sister ate the macaroni and cheese and she said it tasted old and she thought that they reuse the food.
Lin's is great, always a fresh and full buffet. They also have a Mongolian barbecue, as well as sushi. The service is good and the price is right.
Very friendly and a great variety of food
All of the food that should have been hot was cold. The sushi however was warm and gross. If you are going to pay 20 for a meal you expect the stuff to be cooked. They got me once and im never going back
The food was not good and made myself and my husband not feel well almost immediately after eating. The environment was nice and the staff was friendly but not worth the money.
Way overpriced.. Food wasnt good enough to merit such a big bill
Everything was spicy. Buffet not kept up with
The food was gross. Spend $28 for 2 people and the only thing semi-edible was the ice cream and even it tasted off... The crab meat tasted sour. Pasta salad was just pasta... No seasoning of any kind. Everything looked like it had been sitting on the buffet line way too long. Crunchy rice, soggy noodles.. Other diners there felt the same way. Waste of food and money. Never again will I go here or recommend this place to anyone.
Love it they are so clean and kind
This place is horrible!!! There isn’t a variety and there is not really that much food placed...the bathrooms are disgusting they smell so bad and the toilets are nasty.. the music is the only great thing. Out of everything here the workers aren’t dong much.
It's Okay! Could be better if the restrooms were cleaned! Often! Even better would to be... updated!
This place really want down hill broken tables and chairs and restraunt is disgusting from the floors to the bathrooms and the wait staff yeah ok hardly even saw one very bad exsperiance will not return.
Really enjoyed the food. Place was nice and clean! I will be back!
Food was excellent. Service a bit slow. Went on a day there was only 3 other tables. So service should not have been slow.
If i could rate it a half a star i would! 1. Food is cold 2. Food look like it has been there sitting till the food where harden. Example: Noodles 3.servers take for ever to get your drink order 4.STICKY TABLES 5. Dirty restrooms Last time we ever come here
Overpriced! The selection is very limited. Big building and small selection. I paid $18 for the buffet. I could have gotten a better selection at almost half the price at China King Buffet off Juan Tabo and I40. This location is nothing like the Lins by cottonwood mall.
Food is not good price high.
This is a decent buffet.... Not very big.... Atomesphere is very nice and staff is very attentive
DO NOT GO HERE. This is quite possibly the worst restaurant I have ever entered. We should have just walked out but they hide the horror show that is the interior of the restaurant behind a waterfall wall. They also charge you BEFORE you eat. Buyer beware. The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because I am not allowed to give them zero. The food was terrible, the seating area was filthy and the staff was basically non-existant. We left without finishing. Honestly, I am amazed the Health Dept. hasn't shut this place down.
Nice with very friendly staff. The food is good and plenty on the salad bar now they have some great sushi.
This place was disgusting. Filthy and very little xhose on foods. Service was also very bad.
This place was an okay place to eat. Food was okay. Wait Staff was really good.
Giod food and nice prices
I finally was able to embark in the crab experience. Oh goodness do I get stuffed here. Always good food, depending on what you like. I still have to try the grill and the sushi
Food was not worth the price, it was cold, tasted like plastic and smelled bad.
To expensive for the food they offer in my opinion. Its buffet style so some items are at the end of freshness without being replaced.
Quality of food was bad to expensive
Not many food options. Food was cold. They didn't refill some of the food that was empty. This further decreased the food choices. Won't be back.
Excellent coconut shrimp and the tilapia was cooked just right
Not the best food, and I set my standards pretty low for buffets. Cold food, aged food, and not much variety.
Fresh food, great variety, well worth the price. My only criticism is the restrooms need to be better cleaned and more often...
The commercial looked so good but the actual was disappointing. The crab legs were laying in water, not good. Overall the buffet was mediocre
Good service but food needs to improve. Fruit not so fresh tasted rancid as did the rice.
The selection was not the greatest but it was okay we went on a Saturday they had all you can eat crab legs for one they couldn't make enough to meet demand for 2 the crab legs were sour and when we brought this to the attention of the wait staff that something didn't taste right she didn't take us seriously it's kind of brushed It off. it's not a place I would recommend but it could be great to others
This is One of my favorite Chinese Buffet restaurants Ever! Pleasant atmosphere, and Awesome variety of recipes, both classic and unusual. I Highly recommend it for those who deeply appreciate a good stuff your face kinda place!
Food was cold, chicken tough and stringy, even the rice was terrible. Have eaten here before and it was decent, not sure what happened this time. Please make sure food is fresh, especially at 6pm on a Friday.
The food was okay but the establishment seemed rather dirty. The tables had cleaning product residue buildup on it and the carpets needed to be cleaned some of the booths look like they were falling apart. But the staff was friendly
Food is cold after 6.00 but usually good
If you have a big family and its krab day then its a lil pricy
Good food, great service!
I had it to go, but what I saw there was alot of food to pick from. And the price was reasonable. There was plenty of parking and I was in and out quickly.
Food was terrible here today, for lunch. Most of the food on the buffet line was room temperature, or cold. I spoke with a manager, but she didn't see any problem with the food not being kept at appropriate healthy temperatures. The only food that was up to proper temps was the food that was cooked to order on the grill. I hadn't eaten here in about 5 years because of repeated bad experiences, hoping things had improved, but I won't eat here again. A lot of the food trays were empty as was the restaurant, no diners. Disappointing.
Great food never overcooked and never undercooked. Gentleman at front always remembers my husband and I and is a pleasure to talk to.
So when we called the guy told us that there was Seafood, prime rib and cooked to order, starting at 4 p.m. for dinner... So we waited 2 hours to go for this fabulous dinner and nothing that he told us was available. So we ate what was there and by the time they started all of that, we were already full. Will try it again maybe just go at 6.
Good food waitress's and the manger are nice and friendly
I had never been to Lins Grand Buffet till my mother n law, and sister n law took me there to eat for lunch one day and I enjoyed it.
Great food and good variety. Clean and friendly.
Food was great. But when you have wait staff sitting and gossiping. Might want ensure cleanliness.
Great selection of delicious foods and desserts. AYCE.
A very average, mediocre array of Chinese dishes that overall lack the authenticity we would expect from this establishment. Not the worst but certainly nowhere near the best, Albuquerque just does not have any above par Chinese buffets to speak of although there are several Asian restaurants with authentic ingredients & flavours if you want freshly cooked cuisine.
Food was good. Staff not very friendly.
Good food, but not great dessert options. Would recommend though
It would help to change the carpet asap it's disgusting
Place is getting a little run down, food mediocre at best because not everything was fresh. It used to be really good, obviously not the same cooks. Service was good, staff friendly. Scouting for a new Chinese buffet place.
It was very tasty. The Lo mein , the shrimp, the dumplings are really good. Except the tables are kinda sticky and the bathrooms have bad quality. And it was kinda dark. But other than that it was great.
Average American-chinese buffet. Don't come expecting great food but the price for lunch was fair. The have a grill that can grill a bowl to order which was nice!
Great on a weekend, not so thrilled on weekdays. Decent buffet something for everyone even if you have picky kids.
We were there last week and the waitresses never came around to give us refills on our drinks we told her we weren't leaving a tip and she started yelling at us and told us she didn't need our money its pretty sad that you have ppl like that working there if they dont know how to take care of there customers they shouldn't be working there and we tried to make a complain to the manager but he wasn't there so another waitress came over and was very rude when we were asking the cashier questions and we are regulars there
Fresh and tasty. Best Chinese buffet by far in Albuquerque. Staff are amazing.
Was closing at 9pm, we arrived at 7:30 the guy at the sushi bar refused to make more for us... After we asked (twice) he only had slim pickings And my family wanted a few pieces each... Didn't get what we came and paid for included with the buffet. He was rude. Imature. We Probably won't go back... The other servers were okay, and the lady in the front was probably the nicest. Maybe it was late and he was just tired... Or lazy.
Pretty good food could have been fresher though.
Great selection of Vegan ,, Kosher,, and Healthy Entrees. Enjoy a variety of fresh Traditional dishes and hot homemade soups. Be sure not to miss their Stir Fry Grill. No waiting, friendly atmosphere with polite servers who are happy to meet your dining accomadations.
Our waitress came to our table twice during our over an hour meal there. (We were visiting with family from out of town) and on a few occasions myself and a family member had to get up to go ask for drink refills and while doing so saw our waitress sitting down and on her cell phone.... And also about half of the items on the buffet was cold and looked old ( like they had been there since they opened) about the only thing that was fresh and really amazing was the sushi
Good grill, refilled food, good tea, salad bar needed to be more fresh though, (could've been cheaper since salad bar wasn't fresh chopped looked old or sitting out to long)
Sticky tables, food over cooked, terrible waiters, not many varieties of food, bathrooms not clean, and $10 per person.
Friendly service, manager was incredibly friendly, sushi Guy and made me something extra special for my plate to go with my sushi, I love eating at Lin's!
Good wasn't as hot as it should have been. Wong tong soup with no Wong tongs not much variety
The price was on point with the food quality. The service was good. The dining area was clean. Only four stars because they have slightly worn chairs around the dining area and the salad bar is lacking a good variety.
Allways a great place to eat and great price I love the seafood most .
This place has a low variety of food, so you think that they would keep restocking the food but no there is barely enough for 1 scoop of what is wanted and there is more desert than actual food. They charge the same price as Hong Kong Buffet but Hong Kong Buffet has so many food variety’s and options. Sorry.
I'm very surprised this restaurant location is still open. The bathroom always smells bad and in rough shape. The carpeting in the dining room is sooo disgusting, deeply faded as if the ink had disappeared. Everytime I attend I notice there's hardly any customers and I'm here during dinner hour and i know it's not the food cuz the food is great but the selection is small. the imitation crab dish has way too much cheese. Why do the serve personal pizzas and cheese enchiladas both are gross and are obviously from a store and not hand made this is the only buffet in Albuquerque that only uses 2 waitresses. This place is a dying horse that needs to be put down
Loved it! Hubby was happy and we were both full upon leaving. Waitress was very attentive! Removed empty plates, remembered which one of us had sugar and which had sweetener. Will go back when we get the chance.
Love the all you can eat crab legs the rest of the food is also good lots to eat, service is always great will return with an emty stomach
Me and my kids ate here yesterday for the first time and it was no good. All 4 of my kids got sick right after eating here .. we were still there when it happened.... Never again are we going here ... It was so sad ...
Excellent as always staff is polite and freindly food is great
Not the best buffet, food was cold and service wasn't the best, however worth to try if craving Chinese, but most likely not going back.
Very good Buffet exempt the bathrooms. The bathrooms are very bad, the do not clean them as often as they should be cleaned. The price is okay not to expensive not too cheap. The food variety is exellent, lots to choose from. The outside of the place should be better taken care of, its not as appealing as it should be considering how nice the inside looks.
I used to love this place but, no more. Went in for lunch and food was cold, my sweet and sour chicken was hard, not tough hard.. Didn't finish one plate and left.
Food was okay. Not busy during the week at around 4pm. I will stick with Hong Kong buffet on the westside. Much more options and food was served hot.
Dry food. Never saw my waiter.
Great verity, great taste all at a great price
The price was higher than normal so we were excited to have a great meal. But we were surprised and here’s why... - several dishes were out and not attended to. - many dishes were not labeled. - none of the food was fresh, rubber salmon, slimy chicken, fruit, veggies, we tried alittle but of most of the dishes and nothing was good or fresh. Even down to the really stale fortune cookie. - we were ensured by staff that certain dishes are kosher but they had crab in them, the staff doesn’t know what they serve. - both restrooms were delapidated and severely dirty. - I had to speak with a manager and explain our grave disappointment, and that this was the worst buffet we’ve been to in 9 states. He said he was sorry but didn’t offer a refund, discount, or anything else. He said “If you asked me I could’ve told you what was in the dishes.” We asked 2 staff members and just assumed they knew what what served. Online they advertise “kosher options” which is why we came, but they don’t even know what the word means. Worst buffet in 9 states. Worst restaurant, food, and service of any place we’ve been to, even abroad. I sincerely hope they shut down before anyone gets seriously ill.
Really good selection on their buffet. Service is always prompt and very inexpensive during the day.
BAD! The food was old and cold on the buffet, they lied about it when we asked, and 3 of the 5 of us that went threw up or had diarrhea as soon as we got home and it's a short drive... It was eerily empty and I think I see why! I will NOT be going back!
Pleasantly surprised. The food was certainly good and, this being a buffet, there was plenty of it. The staff kept the glasses full and the used plates clear. Lin's is now on my list of places to go to. I started with the sushi and, much later, topped it all off with a selection of different flavors of pudding. Then I slept for a day whilst digesting.
This restaurant was pretty close to us so we gave it a try. The workers are very blunt and to the point, making no small talk and not even really smiling. We went around lunch time and paid $20 for two people no drinks included. The food is fine, good enough, not real complaints. It's a buffet and there was nothing really special about it. If your looking for greasy noodles, dry chicken, good sushi and rice, there's nothing wrong. The restaurant was clean and not busy when we came. Like I said there was nothing special so there Is high chance I won't be returning as there are many places out there that are better and worth a try.
This place freaking horrible all the food was very cold. Very old and even when fresh food was put out went cold really quickly. The warming plate where off. I threw up in the parking lot as soon as I got to my car. Never going back that's for sure.
I've come to realize that some people just like to complain about things. I was skeptical based on some of the reviews. We enjoyed our lunch. The food was good, nothing great but it's to be expected at a buffet. The sushi was good. The salmon was generous (some have paper thin slices). Service was fine. Again, it's a buffet, they fill your drinks and remove your plates. The bathrooms were clean. We'll be back next time we're in the area.
Ordered Shrimp in Garlic Sauce from the grill and it was delicious! Wandered around and checked out the buffet offerings and they looked good too! Worth the trip.
We got there early hoping the food was going too be fresh. But it was cold seemed to be from the night before. The one thing that I like about Chinese buffets is won tog soup. It rarely bad but in this case there was only three dumplings in the big kettle. Because of that 2 stars not three.
Good service and good sushi also good stir-fry
Not great but not terrible
The food on the buffet was old, the restraunt is run down. For the money I would drive out to lins on the west side.
Food is great! So is the customer service!
Went there late this evening and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and the value outstanding. I’m from a city where Chinese food is literally on every corner and I can say I’ll definitely be back to Lin’s. Try the jalapeño chicken! For those we mention the kosher ( kashrut) issue, not sure where you learned kosher law but clearly any restaurant that serves pork can not be kosher. Not to mention that to be kosher it has to be certified by a Rebbe.
Food was cold and some plated where stails. Bathroom disgusting and tables where sticky. Waitress where very nice and prices was ok
Gross food. Pretty waitresses but disgusting food.
Never never ever going back! If you like everything to taste like fish ick be my guest. Not worth the price. The people working in the food area seem preoccupied or overwhelmed with life. Not cordial at all. I guess they aren't getting paid to smile or be nice. The cashier & the waitress smiled but short lived. Don't even ask about the food. Please don't.~
I havent been here in awhile and am sorry I came today. Almost all the food was too salty: the sushi, the soup, egg rolls, rice, everything. I'm sorry to say I won't be back.
The food is decent, the service is terrible. One simple question and everything goes downhill. The guy in the grill is alright but the front is bad. Really takes out the grand from the buffet
Excellent food. A bit pricey, but worth it. Hit and miss on service. It is a buffet, so service is not a huge issue.
Food was awesome and clean there
Tons of decisions to your plate or plates lol and you have plenty of healthy options. Great place when your tired of your usual fast food joints.
nice clean bathrooms, services is good
The selection of food at this buffet is outstanding along with a great staff
The decor is nice. Atmosphere was typical for a buffet type restaurant. The food was horrid! All of the meat had the same bland flavor. The egg noodles were bland and pasty. For the first time in my life, I couldn't finish my eggroll. Wontons had just enough filling to tell that they weren't just empty shells yet they tasted empty. The hot and sour soup was good, as was the Jasmine tea. The rice noodles were pretty good and the dessert bar was decent. All in all, I feel that my $40+ bill for 3 people was wasted on this establishment. The catch is that I'm not a picky eater and rarely give negative reviews. Most food tastes good to me. Not here though. Sorry Lin's! You won't be seeing us again.
Food is fresh and good service is friendly
It was great. I liked it.
Love this place! Very glad Crab Legs are back! I highly recommend the grill! The guy is great behind the grill, watching him do his thing makes waiting in line worth it. Great service and clean facility
Food is great here, bathroom hygiene very gross at least paint the graffiti can at least pretend you care about cleaning your bathroom
Awesome Very Good
Expensive for what you get. No sauce for sweet and sour and no more crab legs. Most of the items were salad, bread or american classics. Meh
The place is dirty nasty the food is cold it's gross Hong Kong beat stand by a million The waitresses were over there in the corner talking when he asked if we needed anything definitely will not go back to that nasty place oh and the chef the state board ohellno he was rude as hell
Food was good and hot and service was excellent. Just a lil pricy
We've been going there for couples years now. No complaints. Buffet style or you have choice cook there on the grill for you while you watch.
Awesome food and very clean.
Tables are filthy. The servers are immature and they pick n choose who they want to wait on. But I like the food it's alright but I will not be going back anytime soon. Thanks again.
The pictures look better than what the food was
The waitresses were not friendly and didn't care about customers. Food and other stuff are good just would like to be welcomed sitting at a table.
Food was sub par and the cleanliness was questionable.
Nice atmosphere and good selection of food reasonable price
Dirty place. Needs more cleaning on tables and restrooms...very filthy.
Its already bad review on the phone..they are so stuck up even the managers. When my family amd i got there it was bad service since we payed..food is still cold, i asked if there wS fresh food to our waitress, she gave us attitude. Like i said food was cold. Customer service was bad kept giving us attitude.. Food was cold like i said..was a regret feeding my family here.
Food was pretty good
Awful. Husband and I went around 3pm. Don't know if they were preparing for the dinner rush but the food looked lackluster and there wasn't much variety. Server didn't come back to refill our drinks until we had to flag her down. There were only a few people in that dining room. We went to Buffet King the next day and were not disappointed.
Decent The whole experience was just that decent. The Asian meals of the buffet were "average". But I would stay away from the enchiladas and quesadillas they were sour.
Mini family reunion. Our waitress provided excellent service. She was friendly and managed our group with perfection. Really good food, everyone was very pleased. Would highly recommend. Garcia families
The waiters where good at first but now they totally ignore us it’s like really that’s not good the hot food was cold but it was good the pizzas on one side or store bought so I don’t recommend eating the pizza
The best thing I had here was the steamed rice. I didn't enjoy the soup, egg rolls, noodles, chicken entrees, or desserts. My girlfriend really enjoys the shrimp here and it's the only reason we came. She was happy with the shrimp.
Man at front register is rude, made us carry our napkins and silverware to the table. Crab legs wasn't stocked. Bathrooms were atrocious, no soap in either restrooms, so how does staff wash their hands????? Won't be back.
When you first walk into Lin's you are greeted with a warm hello and asked to pay for your food and drink right away Your party is then seated and the drink order is taken. While Lin's has a variety of drinks to choose from, there isn't a listing at the front or at the table. Instead you have to ask if they have what you are wanting and hopefully they have it. Lin's is a self serve buffet restaurant that has a Mongolian Grill, which after looking at the selection of food on the buffet, is all I actually ate. The buffet looked like it had been staged an hour or two before as the food looked old and dried out. I had a party of seven with me and one of my daughters didn't eat anything other than the lo mein as she said "nothing looks good." Another in my party had only shrimp from the grill. The waitress was running around like a chicken without a head (she was so busy) and our drinks needed refills for almost 10 minutes before we got them. This isn't her fault, she was doing the best she could. I left the restaurant hungry as I didn't feel right eating only from the Mongolian grill. In total I spent $110.00 and unfortunately it wasn't worth it. The only reason they got the 1 star is because of the manager? and waitress
