As you can see it has an average rating is almost the highest, and it is based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can think that the valuation is quite faithful. If people have bothered to give their opinion when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put scores when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is included in the category of French restaurant.
Delicious, authentic French food! Great service and conversation with the chef. Lovely old building.
Loved the food and service. Excellent French cuisine.
Nicest French spot in downtown. Food is authentic and delicious. The Croque Madame they make is a lunchtime treat if I'm feeling famished (very filling!)... And the escargot is great! Highly recommended! On your way out, hut up Espresso Fino next door for a fantastic cup of your favorite caffeinated concoction!
Great good and service.
Excellent authentic french cuisine, very good service. Well worth the visit.
Excellent! The food and service are some of the best in town. This is a great destination for a nice night out to enjoy good food and wine with the people you care about.
On special: trout, it was sadly over cooked and difficult to eat. Service was great as were the rolls.
Good food, good atmosphere, small/tightly-packed dining room.
Every meal is wonderful and has become one of our favorite restaurants.
Great, classic french bistro.
I just had lunch here with my mom. The French owner/chef chatted with us for a bit after we arrived; a very nice gentleman. The waitress was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. We arrived around 11:45am shortly after they opened. When we left, the restaurant was full. This is a testament to the quality of this place. There was plenty of parking along 3rd street and Silver for those worried about parking downtown. The restaurant was clean with table cloths on each table. Soft music was playing in the background so it did not disrupt our conversation. The menu was simple. We ordered the two daily specials; tarragon chicken with vegetables and rice and a potato/fish cake wrapped in a crepe with a mixed green salad. Both were delicious. And the bread! We were each served a piping hot, crisp roll with butter. We will be back soon with the rest of our family.
Had a fantastic meal with a great waitstaff!
Good food and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly!
Fabulous Croque Monsier! Wonderful decor and service!
Food and service was amazing. Will definitely go again.
Went for our wedding anniversary. Service was great, appetizer was excellent and main course was incredibly good. Support local business and try this place out. Prices were reasonable. If you want fast cheap food, go to McDonalds.........this place is worth the slower pace, order a bottle and wine and enjoy the ambiance.
Great food. Come and enjoy an awesome cuisine and support a local business.
Wonderful little French restaurant in downtown Albuquerque. The food and service were top shelf. This is my new favorite restaurant.
The food was outstanding from the French onion soup, best ever, the crab cake, the soul, the desert, fabulous meal!
This is my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque Jean Pier is an awesome chief and good friend .you will enjoy the finest French dining!
Amazing hidden gem in downtown Albuquerque. Classic french cooking, amazing staff, charming ambiance, and mouthwatering food. Reservations for dinner are recommended but not necessary. It's on our top 10 list for the city.
Le Troquet is an amazing French restaurant in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant twice and it hasn't disappointed. The escargot is some of the best we've had even when we were over in France. The beef and lamb were also wonderful. We will be returning here again to enjoy the company of the owner and the amazing food. I certainly recommend this place for anniversaries, or just a nice date night but expect to spend over $100.
Delicious classic French food! Intimate, lovely decor, charming hosts. A little bit of Paris in the desert. Our favorite restaurant in Albuquerque.
Always wonderful menu...a favorite of mine is the Chicken Tarragon...delicious. Presentation is exquisite. Thank you for such a wonderful restaurant in Albuquerque. Ronda Reed
Authentic French cuisine in Classic French ambiance. Chef Jean-Pierre knows his stuff! Try the Chicken Cordon Bleu, you will love it! Salut chef!
Just had lunch here. We loved the interior: french advertising and art, intimate setting, french music. I tried the calamari steak special (first time with a calamari steak) and loved it. It was served with a white sauce and capers and was delicious. Grilled vegetables and rice (with a Kronenbourg 1664) rounded out the meal quite nicely. Service was quick, making our lunch uncomplicated and delicious. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in a lovely meal.
Hands down this is my favorite French restaurant! We love Chef Jean Pierre and his food is amazing! We love his onion soup, savory crepes (pollo and beef bourguignon), carrots (so sweet) and creme brûlée. Not a fan of the location (some creepy guy came up to our car and wouldn’t leave us alone - he was walking down the street) but we’ll still eat here when we have a French craving.
What a surprise! A great little French restaurant in downtown Albuquerque... Certainly rivals French cafes I've been to in Paris and NY, very authentic food and cozy decor. Will be back!
Excellent food! I had the duck, and even the carrots were exceptional! It looked so good I started to eat and forgot to take a picture. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner, special occasion, etc. They were very knowledgable about what was gluten free and even the gravy for my duck was gluten free!
This is the "special little restaurant " that I go to to celebrate birthdays. The food is excellent (especially their French Onion Soup and quiches). Intimate and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Fabulous and fun! The food is delicious and the service is wxcellent!
The cutest little restaurant I've ever seen. It is a beautiful restaurant outside as well as inside. The salmon was the best I've ever had and the seabass was good as well. They serve you fresh roles with your meal that are very tasty. For dessert, the creme brulee is a must have.
A very quaint and comfortable restaurant. A little pricey but worth the expenditure. My husband and myself enjoyed our evening very much. Good service and good food. What else can you ask for? Will be back!
Thanks for a lovely meal.
Very cozy, friendly and delicious
Great service, amazing food. The steak was phenomenal, and decently priced. Very cozy french bistro, highly recommend it.
Had my mom's birthday dinner at Le Troquet. Opens at 5, but they opened for us at 4. Owner and his staff went over and beyond. OMG, the food, was excellent. My mother only likes her own cooking. She was amazed at how tasty the food was. My parents have been back a few times since.
I was so impressed by this little place. The atmosphere is inviting. The service is excellent. Each of our meals, including a shared dessert, was perfectly delectable. I can't wait to go back and try a different item off of their menu.
Great food, great service.
AMAZING FOOD!!!
Cozy and good!
The specials are always amazing
My friend and I had lunch at Le Troquet, and I must say we were less than impressed.by the quality of the food. Prices are high for the quality. Restaurant is small which makes it uncomfortable. Do not park at any of the meters on the street; Saturday for lunch we were ticketed $20.00'!
French food done exceptionally well. Excellent service in an intimate setting
Found out about La Troquet from colleagues and was not disappointed. We went for lunch and had wonderful crepes, spinach and cod, a delicious endive salad and soupe l'oignon. All quite good. Shared a 1/2 bottle of a nice red wine to pull it all together. Owner and wait staff are very friendly. Don't miss out!
A delightful and delicious surprise in Albuquerque, authentic French cuisine!
The food and the service were absolutely superb. A bistro style French restaurant with a nouveaux flair in a very traditional bistro setting.
Excellent French food. Very cozy atmosphere. Definitely has a small Parisien cafe feel, which is nice. You would be well advised to make reservations as seating is quite limited.
CONS: trout and green beans were overcooked and converted rice was cooked with too much water, so it was a little mushy. PROS: meal came out very hot and drowned in butter and toasted almonds, which compensated for the overcooking.
Amazing food with an atmosphere that will make you think your in another country. This is a gem in Albuquerque. There is always a few specials and the bread is amazing. I think this place only seats 30 people you feel like you have a private chef. If you want amazing French food this is the place.
Lovely food! Great service.
Food is amazing, lovingly hand crafted with passion, atmosphere is romantic, you feel like you are in France.
Great space...great food! Leek and potato soup was especially amazing
The French chef here cooks up some of the most authentic French cuisine in town and the flavors are extraordinary
Everything we ate was perfectly seasoned and fresh.
I lost count of the times we said "wow". Absolutely delicious, with excellent service.
Very good, good service too!
Jean Pierre is the best French chef in New Mexico!
My family and I have been coming here for years, even before the restaurant became Le Troquet. We usually celebrate every birthday here; the food and service is always superb! Our most recent birthday visit, on Saturday, we did have excellent food and a great server but we were bothered by the owner's behavior; he worked on buttering up one of the larger tables for the entirety of the evening. He watched over his server and had her cater to them prior to any of her other tables. It would look MUCH better on the owner and the restaurant to treat everyone equally. It's a very small and cozy space, it would not take too much effort to greet the new clients/tables, introduce yourself, and ask how everything went. A few minutes before we left, the AC kicked in. Our table as well as the one next to us mentioned the unpleasant breeze and put our jackets on; it was a cold night outside as well! Other than the two complaints I felt needed mentioning, we still love Le Troquet and the atmosphere the cozy restaurant provides, and the very delicious food and wine! We'll still continue to frequent Le Troquet!
Great Musseles
Charming French Bistro. Authentic French menu. Service was excellent. Prices quite reasonable.
Delicious and thoughtful French fare. And reasonable portions!
Great deal for lunch
Great place with great Chef
Wonderful French cuisine in a cozy little dining room.
Delightful lunch spot with french cuisine.
They honor our Second Amendment rights!!! Great food. Sooooooo romantic. The staff are very professional yet not stiff. They are pleasant down to earth, made me feel like I was eating at home but elegantly. Pretty expensive, but it's worth every penny.
My husband and I were both delighted to find Le Troquet. It is by far the best French restaurant we have found. I even lived in France for a while and would rank Le Troquet at the top. The food is prepared beautifully, cooked exactly right, and service is cheerful without being intrusive. We have never had a course that has been disappointing. Starters and entrees and desserts have been delicious, and both the fish and the meat dishes were great. For those of you who yearn for true French food prepared perfectly, this is the place.
Every meal we've had has been superb--the food and service above par. Each visit has had the owner's touch, from the wine suggestions to him personally helping my mother up the steps. We will be back.
Decent if you like French food. Pretty good even if you don't.
Absolutely delicious. I must visit restaurant in Albuquerque. Very nice place with great specials!
When previous dinner plans fell through, my family and I were scrambling to find a nice place to host a party of 6. I called Le Troquet and we were very lucky that they had an opening for a sizable party, as they usually fill up with reservations (it being a Tuesday night worked in our favor). None of us had been here before, and it ended up being a truly memorable evening - a perfect place to celebrate a special birthday. The smaller menu was varied and full of unusual delicacies for the adventurers in the group, but traditional enough for some of our more conservative eaters. I believe that a small menu means the chef has mastered these recipes - and that was the case here for sure ! Everything from the beet salad, the escargot, the sole dish with Parmesan and capers, the scallops, the lamb shank....all wonderful! My aunt literally squealed with glee when they mentioned smelts were on the specials menu - and after I tried one I understood why. The icing on the cake was the chef treating us to beignets at the end of the meal. Thank you Le Troquet for a night we will remember for a long time
Mussels are incredible!
Loved it
Food was prepared with excellent technique. Delicious! Nice service too.
A delightful atmosphere and delicious dinner!
Food was delicious. Chef was friendly. And price was right.
Great place and great food!
Always above expectations.
Tastie creme brulee paired with pashico
The best mussels I have ever had, in addition to exquisite, thoughtful service.
Good, not great. A bit pricey and slow for lunch.
Most charming romantic restaurant in Albuquerque. The tenderloin was so delectable as well as the vegetables and potatoes. The monk fish was equally delicious. My only question is would the chef consider special requests in advance? We will be back again.
Great food, great atmosphere. Helped to make my wife's birthday a superb one. Already looking forward to next time
Wonder lunch! Food was fantastic! Great visit with Chef Jean Pierre. Cozy atmosphere in small quaint setting. Highly recommend!
Great small restaurant great food.
The onion soup was amazing! It is a bit pricey but the taste makes it worth it.
Onion soup, scallops. Great
Went for our anniversary, the wait staff was great and food delicious
Small room atmosphere that caters to a delicious eating experience. We were unsure of our location choice for the night but we're more than surprised and satisfied.compliments to the chef. Merci
I had walked past this little place many times....and was curious about it. When my mom’s birthday rolled around, I suggested that we try it. We came in on a Friday, right at opening time, for lunch. The chef Jean Pierre came out and warmly welcomed us. The space is small, but cozy and warm. The server promptly attended to us and gave us an overview of the many fabulous specials. We ended up ordering off the menu. I ordered the trout almondine....and my Mom ordered the chicken Cordon Bleu. Both dishes were over the top, perfectly seasoned, with generous portions to boot. I will definitely be back. This place is conveniently located on the SE side of downtown...right on the corner of Gold and 3rd. There is ample covered parking nearby on 2nd and Gold. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed!
Great food and service. Expensive. I was there during a conference and my budget was blown by the prices but it is a quaint little place.
Great food. Intimate dining. A little pricey but worth it for special occasions. Friendly chef (Jean Pierre).
Very good service. French style food good. People very congenial.
Good French food, fun ambiance and great music
Just discovered this place tonight and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. My friend is from Seattle and she said tonight’s meal was some of the best fish she’s ever had. I had the duck special and it was so good. From the piping hot rolls to the pate to the entree to dessert I was so surprised.
Cozy and intimate ambiance. The food was delicious. I had the frog legs and potato leek soup. If I'm ever in Albuquerque again, I will return here for dinner.
I love the food here. Everything is good. Is a cozy little French place.
The food was excellent. Service wasn’t as good as we had hoped, especially for the prices.
Amazing food and great service!
Was a great experience for my wife and I eating at a place of that caliber for our anniversary. Was amazing with chef waiting for us at our reserved table adorned with flowers. It was too perfect
