The food was excellent. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. The staff was very professional from the valet guy to the servers. Our waiter was excellent. The experience was memorable.

I had a romantic dinner with my wife at this place. We could not make a better choice. Amazing and thoughtful menu, probably the best restaurant service I had in my life, wine list that is both approachable and impressive. Despite being located on the most touristy street in Santa Fe, the restaurant is actually serious culinary establishment. I can't wait to go there again.

Vivian Elizabeth Marquez de la Garza

The restaurant is located on the art gallery-canyon rd. The drive up to the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. We saw some people enjoying the evening out and walking there. We did have a reservation. If you want to sit outside, in the summer', make sure to make a reservation with time. We pulled up to the valet, where valet was VERY happy to drive the C7 corvette. We had no wait. We were seated right away. We passed up the bar area, which also looked amazing. Our waiter was Craig. Being a vegan, it is important to me that all dishes disclose dairy. Per Craig, there is usually a vegan option but were out. I ordered an endive dish, roasted beet salad, side of spinach and raspberry sorbet for desert. They also had vegan bread. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about each dish and let me know about the dairy conflict in the dishes, that was not so obvious to me- by menu descriptions. We had a blast at dinner. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant to anyone cosnidering visiting Geronimo.

One of the best restaurants we been to. Our server was very attentive , gave us a lot of information about town and places to visit . Food is very very delicious , chef did excellent job. Desert was phenomenal, tiramisu in a new way , must try it . Overall had great time and enjoyed every minute .

Barbara Furlong

Lovely. The "Manhattan Project" cocktail was outstanding! Food, service, atmosphere... all worthy...

Amazing food. Amazing service. Anytime I'm in the area we make an effort to visit as many restaurants as we can, this place stands out.

I love Geronimo! Every Santa Fean knows it's The best restaurant in Santa Fe. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the world. Oh my, the harmony of every dish is absolute bliss. Astonishing food and atmosphere, the staff are awesome!

Glenn Heino

Food was excellent. Staff was top notch.

We saved the best for our last dining experience in Santa Fe. Geronimo is housed in the elegant "Borrego House" which was built by Geronimo Lopez in 1756. With its thick adobe walls, kiva fireplaces and wood beams, the ambience is something very special. The "Global Eclectic" menu at Geronimo, changes seasonally under the skilled guidance of Executive Chef Sllin Cruz. To start the evening I ordered the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio: Mustard-Horseradish Sauce, Herb Oil, Wild Arugula and classic garnitur. Like Beef Tartare, Carpaccio is served raw, but instead of having been diced, it is served paper thin and ice cold. So rich and flavorful, the Wagyu Beef is mouth watering with the mustard-horseradish sauce and slightly bitter arugula. I was also pleased by the thoughtful addition of chopsticks instead of a fork, to pick up the thin bits of heaven. For an entree I chose the Mesquite Grilled Maine Lobster Tails: Angel Hair Pasta, Spinach, Edamame & Creamy Garlic Chile Sauce. Soft and tender, the perfectly prepared lobster was also immaculately plated. Their attention to detail makes me so happy! The pasta, also tasty and not overcooked, is delicious and fulfilling in the creamy garlic chile sauce. For dessert I chose the Banana Cream Pie: Cinnamon Chocolate Ice Cream & Coffee Anglaise. Beautifully presented and more delicious than it looked, flaky and not too thick pastry, with bruleed bananas covering a scrumptious creme filling. Exquisite! The chocolate and coffee anglaise are also worth mentioning as delicious, sweet, decadence, worth every bite. I had a wonderful time at Geronimo and will be sure to go back when in the Santa Fe area.

Simply amazing food from appetizers to dessert. Great for a group dinner or romantic evening with your significant other. Super friendly staff.

Wanda Perez

We had an excellent fine dining experience at Geronimo. The ambience was comfortable and interesting with soft lighting and fire places in site. The wines that were suggested to me were perfect pairings. The food was delicious and I'm still thinking about the carpaccio. After strolling among the art on Canyon road a gracious place to stop and have dinner. Great service, interesting menu, quiet elegant atmosphere.

Kristy Noeninckx

Amazing food. Seating is very close together though.so plan on a quite conversation with your dinner guests.

Bonnie Wylde

We went here on the recommendation of a foodie friend who said this was the best restaurant he's eaten at in the world. He wasn't wrong. The service was impeccable attentive and fun. There was a group of six of us and we sampled the pork special Lobster and I had the rack of lamb. The lamb was cooked to perfection and the flavors were delicious. The polenta that came with the lamb was one of our favorite menu items of the evening. Highly recommend!!

My favorite Sante fe Resteraunt Best service Best atmosphere Not the original chef of 20 years ago but dive in for a great dinner or a drink in the cozy bar. I prefer I side as u get lots. Of fumes from the valet when sittinng outside. I would recommend Valet move 50 fewer feet fro. Entrance.

Orlando Secatero

A very excellent hidden Gem away from the main plaza, appetizers to the main course are very excellent. Staff are very informative on the meals that they are presenting, excellent wine selection!

Oakley Merideth

This is a pitch perfect special occasion restaurant that serves a meat and potatoes that is nothing like any meat and potatoes you ever tasted. I know that is an incredibly ignorant statement to make but that's the best articulation of the facts I can muster. But perhaps most impressive is that I once walked in their with a date on a whim to have some dessert and they had no problem serving us right on the spot! I really did not expect that!

Best intimate bar and menu in town!

Shannon Glasscock

Service is outstanding and food is equally delicious.

Cynthia Poulos

We had plans for a different restaurant that evening. Unfortunately a kitchen fire nixed those plans. The staff at Geronimo were able to fit us in for our special occasion dinner . The food was spectacular but the service went above and beyond. We received complementary dessert for the trouble of having to change our original plans. Wow!

Carmen Payne

Well, the service was exceptional which is probably the biggest reason it is rated so high as is the food presentation and the atmosphere. Food very expensive - but this is considered a high-end restaurant so to be expected. The asparagus-mushroom soup and their special tortellini appetizers were delicious. My beef entree served with four dips was good, but I'll take my bro-in-laws or my daughters Fiancee's grilled steak over this for actual flavor of the beef, any day. The two desserts we got were absolutely wonderful little tastes of heaven...Tho I always wonder why high-end restaurants serve their little desserts on such large plates - emphasizes how small & overpriced they really are. Again the service was outstanding and for that I give it 5 stars.

Deidre Myers

FABULOUS!

Ronald Brown

Great food, great atmosphere. Mary is the best owner. She treats you like your at her home. And takes awesome care of all of her guests. The most comfortable dining experience..

Robert Bell

Amazing food and service.

Since arriving in Santa Fe, everyone told us we needed to eat here. We weren’t deterred from the virtual identical menu to almost every other fancy place in town, but didn’t quite see what all the hype was about. However, the elk was very good but the lobster and pasta is worlds better at Coyote Cafe.

Max Monley

This is where continental food went to die... and it is stupid expensive. The only reason that I can gather that this place has almost 5 stars is because grandma got a hold of someones google account. It is not young, hip or even palatable. The atmosphere is great but our server was actually reading the bottle of wine to explain it to us? We ordered two half bottles and he tried to pour both at the same time even though we told him we were having white with our appetizer and red with our meat. He was very confused. Now the food........blah is an overstatement! Had potato leek soup that they poured over some lukewarm potatoes in a silver teapot which i guess is supposed to give the appearance that is good but it was like salty Campbell's!!!! Husband ordered cast iron seared quail which was neither cast iron nor seared. It was like a quail boiled sausage? Both got the elk with mushrooms and potatoes and 4 sugar snap peas and yes that is 4 exactly. Elk was cooked very well but it was covered in this really gross mushroom gravy that reminded me of a frozen saulsbury steak but with less salt. And surprisingly if you put bacon in something it does not always make it better. My 11 year old makes better mashed potatoes. Not really sure how to mess up desserts but Gerinimo does. Poached pear for the hubby.... literally tasted like cough syrup. I had german chocolate cake it was more like mouse covered in chocolate. Honestly it was the best thing I ate but at that point in time I was too exasperated by the experience to enjoy. Did I mention that this high end Furrs dinner with worse service was $450!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is so much better food in Santa Fe...... go and explore it.

Diane Flannery

Wow, what a great experience. The scallops were delicate, and wonderfully presented. My friend had sea bass, also just right. Only negative was how dark the area is and finding parking. Scott was professional and kind.

Abigail Price

By far and away the best restaurant in Santa Fe. Every entre is prepared to perfection with the freshest ingredients. I asked the staff what was good. He told me he would bring me what he knew I would enjoy, after a couple of laughs and seeing my tastes in drinks and appetizers-nothing else was said. Needless to say, five courses later, the meal was outstanding and the wine he chose was excellent. Put this restaurant on the must "travel to" list in Santa Fe!

Cindy L

Geronimo’s mesquite grilled lobster tails on pasta...., Nori, I give you a 5 star, if it wasn’t for you to make our night special I would’ve given our experience one less star. I really did appreciate the glass of champagne and that amazing dessert with Limoncello syrup. I contacted the restaurant to let them know that we were coming in to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, they would only take reservations if I gave them a credit card to hold it, I totally get that. What I didn’t appreciate was how we felt, rushed to our table, we felt like we had to get there, to sit there, order and get out, at least that was how I thought we were treated by the hostess. It was a busy night so they wanted to turn the table. Their Choice of table for our special occasion was where we got to watch the waitstaff place the orders on the computer and where drinks were being made, a service station, nice view. The other thing is that, we ordered Geronimo’s mesquite grilled lobster tails. $46, the presentation was great for the two 3-4oz Lobster tail split in half. They were served on a homemade pasta with supposedly a Thai chili cream sauce but we didn’t taste any of that. I did like the mushroom bisque. I am not really sure how this restaurant got put on one of the top 100 restaurants in the USA. Overrated and overpriced for what we received. We ate at a couple other restaurants in town that were far superior to this one, in other words I WOULDN’T bother going back! Spend your money at some better places in Santa Fe.

I love great food, and I love great restaurants. Although, I have dined at Michelin starred temples of fine dining around the world, I spurn restaurants with attitude. Elegant does not automatically translate into snobbishness, laced with pretense. My incredible dining experiences involve meals at the fanciest of restaurants, where servers, kitchens, managers invite you to enjoy, rather than show off. Entering Geronimo in Santa Fe, you are immediately hit with a tsunami of tude and pretense. I felt like bolting, but we were here because my buddy's wife likes "fancy," rather than great food, so I went along for what I thought would be an arrogant culinary ride. Was I wrong. I very hesitantly interacted with our server Russell who, like great servers throughout the world, read me well, His affect changed, according to my needs, and his formality dropped down several notches. We were laughing and joking throughout the meal. Most of the patrons at Geronimo may be offended by this casual approach, and Russell would need to maintain his formal distance. Yet, that was not what we wanted. Thus, he served us with individuality. Bravo! Everything at Geronimo was simply wonderful. My margaritas were superbly crafted. The red and white wines met our individual palates, and the kitchen produced sublime food. My soft shell crab BLT was a simply amazing example of the art of culinary deconstruction. The lobster tail entree had a slight Southwestern piquant flavor, but the White Shrimp with New Mexican chills was Southwestern caliente delicious. Desserts were equally applaudable. Under Russell's direction, Geronimo was clearly one of Santa Fe's best two restaurants, competing with Sazon. While eating at The Compound Restaurant's bar could become my local, for a special experience in Santa Fe, possibly nothing can compete with Geronimo. Well, maybe Sazon. Try all three. You can't go wrong.

The best food and service in the entire Southwest.

One of the best five dining meals I've ever had! Friendly, accommodating staff.

simmonsrr

An exceptional dining experience. Every touch point was perfect. Highly recommend

Cheryl Sharps

A night to remember for us! We celebrated 31 years of marriage, and this restaurant made us feel quite special - perhaps more than any other restaurant we've went to for an anniversary meal. The very attentive wait staff, the little (but big in our eyes) special things they did for us, the flavorful food...and the special menu printed out for us to remember. We enjoyed every minute. Got the elk dish and the sea bass. Both were wonderful and cooked perfectly. The elk was tenderness in every bite. Not a noisy place, so we felt we could talk and not have to yell. Beautiful art work. Highly recommend!

sancho sanchez

The best.

Wayne Wohler

Food was wonderful, service was friendly, well informed and timely. The recommendations were perfect. Would not change a thing.

Donna Clark

Great food and ambiance. Wonderful restaurant!

Santa Fe Mobile Auto Detailing & Pressure Wash

This was truly excellent food!. The service was very attentive and knowledge about the menu. A awesome experience in fine dining for Santa Fe! I would recommend the New York Steak its very good! Also the Lobster Tails with pasta wow! So good! A margarita was a nice drink with the meal. I will be coming back soon!

Sherry Dekeyzer

My Husband and I went to Geronimo one night to celebrate my birthday. It was lovely in every way. Very pricey.

I. F.

We were celebrating a special anniversary. We were greeted with complimentary champagne. The food was perfection. Our waiter exemplified what fine dining should be. *They don't allow cell phone use on the dining room which is a plus for me.

Alan Deem

Everything was exquisite. Year after year Geronimo maintains the highest of standards. The food was outstanding and our server Nori was professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

Ginger Cornish

Did not live up to the hype. The food was good, but not outstanding. Our waiter was pretentious.

LD Cr

In my honest opinion... THE best 5 Star restaurant in NM. This place does not disappoint. The food is phenomenal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best of all, me and my significant other were on our way back from ski snowboarding trip and were just passing thru town to find a good place to eat not knowing it was so high end. Then we valet parked and were still in our ski pants and such and they still treated us as any other guests with no judgement. We sat at the bar tho so that kind of helped

Aidan Kallas

As good as the hype! Treat yourself

Faria Sukanna

Best food and service! The Elk was amazing.

Jack Peterson

Absolutely fabulous. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food was beyond all expectations. The wasabi caesar salad was particularly delicious!

Iris Monrreal

Great food. Great service

Geri Mosey

The chef treated us with an amazing amuse-bouche of mushroom bisque that expressed the distinctive character of the mushroom, it was lovely. Lobster, perfectly prepared, mesquite grilled with a slightly spiced sauce drizzled over the top, was served on a bed of homemade Thai basil, spinach pasta and edamame, a flavorful dish. The lemon crepe dessert was phenomenal. Plus excellent service made this place top-notch! We will be back!

joe bock

Very tasty and the New York steak was much bigger than expected at a high end restaurant!

Rita Caccamise

We had a wonderful evening at Geronimo's. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.

Jieyi HeRabacu

Amazing fine dining experience with my family for the evening! Perfectly cooked salmon with delicious sauce, awesome beef tenderloin and elk tenderloin, fantastic lamb and the desserts are definitely the highlights of the dinner! We loved loved LOVED our tuna appetizer!

Carol Sanguinetti

Not even a question. 5 stars. Period

Mike Williams

Great food...awesome atmosphere...great town

James Henning

Great variety and unique menu selections as well as attentive, knowledgeable staff. Easy to see why this is Santa Fe's best and most popular restaurant. Very highly recommended!

Sherry Dekeyzer

My Husband and I went to Geronimo one night to celebrate my birthday. It was lovely in every way. Very pricey.

josh brasher

Incredible food, creative chef and top notch staff. This is a restaurant you would find in New York or los angeles Based on the quality and delivery. Shocked it’s found in tiny side street in New Mexico. Should be celebrated more and the cost was very low for the high taste profiles.

Michelle Edwards

Top notch service and amazing food. Definitely a special occasion restaurant!

Harry Kounougakis

One of the best meals I've ever had. The sashimi was incredible, the steak was out of this world. Staff were fantastic.

Stephanie Mesdaghi

Expertly crafted food, a good wine list, and excellent service. We had the appetizer special (short rib and black truffle tortelloni), the beet salad, diver scallops and the house specialty elk tenderloin. The sous vide strawberry shortcake rounded out a superb dining experience. While not inexpensive, the intimate setting makes it a great choice for a special occasion date night.

Marie Birrien

We had a great dinner for our honeymoon at Geronimo. The food was delicious and so tasty! The waitress and waiter were so nice! They provided an excellent service and we sat close to the fireplace. It was very romantic! This is a great place to go to celebrate special occasion!

Courtney St Onge

Great service!

Daniel Besse

Favorite place in Santa Fe. Tremendous experience.

Evelyn Parrish

We came to Geronimo not realizing it was quite as nice as it was. We were so impressed that they accommodated us even though we had no reservations. The waiter was so highly trained on the menu and the wine. He suggested pairings as if he were a sommelier. We were so overwhelmed by how amazing the food was. This is an absolute must!! We will never forget this experience.

chloe howrey

Incredible. Absolutely Incredible

David Lang

Everyone from the valet to the bar tenders were wonderful. Our server was the best. We will be back soon!

I. F.

We were celebrating a special anniversary. We were greeted with complimentary champagne. The food was perfection. Our waiter exemplified what fine dining should be. *They don't allow cell phone use on the dining room which is a plus for me.

Chris Dugan

Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious

Charles Macklin

The food was amazing, prices are good for the quality. Will def eat there again

Mike K

Very nice place, has a luxury feel. I had a steak and it was ok so I'm not fully satisfied with it's quality since I've had much better tasting steaks but the other food was delicious. Had some great tasting appetizers and a pairing with some fine wine that they offer. Parking is very limited and forced valet but considering the very limited parking in that area I can't complain. Overall it is worth the money.

Chelsea Lanigan Williams

We had a wonderful experience. The food is exceptional, but the staff really made the night memorable. Our server, Craig, was amazing to us. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.

Cey Turkell

Loved everything about the place, the food was unbelievably good.

Carol Covert

Delicious meal paired with matchless service. And you are in Santa Fe.

Walid Nabhane

Very disappointed. After reading the reviews I thought I will have an exceptional night. But It wasn't. The people are nice and they try to play as if it is a 3 star Michelin place. But then thr done list is very disappointing. The lost is small expensive and not to any good standard. Then the food is good but nothing exceptional for the price. I had the rack of lamb which was over cooked and the taste didn't have anything special. Maybe the chef change is not keeping it to what it was?

Allison Weiss

Dining at its finest! Great experience from beginning to end. Crab cake appetizer was superb, wedge salad unusual and outstanding. I had Maine lobster tail entree and my husband had rack of lamb and both were wonderful despite the fact that his lamb was a bit undercooked and he had to send back. But they made him a new one and it was perfect. We were so full we weren't able to have desert. This will definitely be a restaurant we come to any time we visit Santa Fe in the future.

NicandR

Always amazing food and service as always

Max Greenblatt

This was easily one of the best meals I have had in recent memory!

Rachel Young

Great service and food

Don Kipp

Wonderful time here. Great food and service. A quieter place than the downtown restaurants.

Lisa Jones

The boyfriend and I came here for a birthday dinner. The food was excellent and the ambiance was very intimate. We were walked through several rooms into a small area in the back and seated at a round corner booth. Our server was nice, albeit a little quirky. But we came across a lot of quirkiness while in Santa Fe so we figured it was the norm. It looks like they may tweak their menu daily because it had the date at the top of the menu and there were a few items that weren't on their online menu (I like to casually peruse every food option on my own time before visiting a new restaurant). They came around with a couple different bread options, we chose the sourdough slice and green chili roll. We started with the lobster bisque (not listed online). It was thick and creamy, had a strong lobster flavor, and was great sopped up with the sourdough bread. For entrees, we opted for the elk tenderloin (amazing, especially with the garlic mashed potatoes) and the smoked chicken (also not on the online menu, but tasted like it was prepared in a smoker...or cooked with liquid smoke). They were good sized portions so between that and the bread (ah, the bread), we were too full for dessert. We were very pleased and would definitely go back.

Reno Davenport

Wow, what a great place for dinner! The four of us all had wonderful food, but the vegetarian meal was a blow-away . . . everyone wanted to taste it. Service was high class and professional, setting is beautiful. This place earns your money.

Jeffrey Halpern

Great dinner. Elegant. Quiet. Great service. We were told by several people that it's the best restaurant in Santa Fe.

Gabrielle Paris

One of the most beautiful romantic Terraces in Santa Fe along Canyon Road. If you are looking for a five-star type restaurant experience in Santa Fe this is it. I would recommend making reservations at least a month before arriving in Santa Fe as there is always an extensive waiting list. I had one of my most enjoyable meals during my stay in Santa Fe.

Ralph Massarczyk

Excellent dining restaurant Good wine selection and very helpful stuff Pricy, but with worth every dollar

Jon Davis

Elk here is to die for and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One of my most favorite restaurants in the world.

Arthur Hassall

Best restaurant in New Mexico! Fabulous food. Elk tenderloin, beef tenderloin out of this world as was the oh so tender pork shank. The ahi and tuna tartare starter reminded us of sushi in Tokyo. Deserves a Michelin star!

Greg Gan

Great atmosphere, food service and fine dining in tge heart of artist row. Totally worth the experience!

Lauren Sander

Geronimo has a beautifully designed dining room, professional staff from the hostess to the table bussers but unfortunately our enjoyment of the excellent food was significantly diminished by the multiple phone conversations had by the table to my immediate right. Tables are situated quite close together so their conversations with the dog sitter and daughter about security cameras and flight delays were very intrusive and certainly not of my concern while trying to enjoy a meal on my honeymoon. What was just as disappointing is that management has a no cellphone policy printed in the front of the menu. When I asked our server to remind the offending party she stated that she understood and agreed that it was rude but declined to intervene.

Denessa Leary

perfectly cooked and seasoned elk tenderloin. My fiance had the rack of lamb. If the taste is not enough for you, the presentation is sure to please. A most delicate Creme brulee.

Eric Romero

The cuisine from appetizers to dessert is phenomenal. The service is friendly and accommodating . This is the best restaurant in New Mexico for fine dining hands down.

Michel Khoury

Exquisite restaurant in Santa Fe where the service is immaculate and the food is outstanding.

Allen Reade

Eminently elegant contemporary style restaurant that is a special occasion place or if you are a lucky person just your favorite Saturday night choice. If you are out for a special occasion, try something new and let the waiter pair your wine for you. I did that last week with the elk and it was divine.

Stefan Klimaj

This is very much worth indulging in once in a while. The food is phenomenally good and very wonderfully crafted. Clearly there is a significant amount of thought on every menu item, from presentation down to nuanced taste. One of the best aspects is the treatment of green chile and its flavor, with the green chile margarita and mac and cheese being my favorites. Definitely look forward to going back!

jman c2

Fantastic food, great service.

hello julie

Delicious, up-scale restaurant located on a popular a street packed with hip art-studios. Their menu is filled with a great variety of classic to exotic cuisine. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about their menu and wine pairings. Despite its popularity, it is not noisy inside. The ambience is excellent for both business dinners and for a romantic date.

Laurie Frias

We got engaged last night and had dinner at Geronimo to celebrate. We will never forget this amazing night and dinner. It was incredible ! Service was amazing and THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. Our waiter was so professional and classy. Thank you Geronimo!!! We will never forget and hope we can come back every year to celebrate our anniversary! We're both from France and we really felt like we were back home eating an amazing dinner at a fancy French restaurant.

Dustin Pascoe

Great steak. Grant our server was amazing. A very charming atmosphere.

Bob Russo

Spectacular food. Chef is outstanding. Need more support staff. Beautiful ambiance.

Grrr DuBois

If you're looking to experience refinement at great cost this is your place. Standard continental cuisine. Well trained staff. Good wine selections. A lovely yet unspectacular high end meal.

Michael Benedum

A very upscale, expensive restaurant with great food. The meal lasted a long time as the food took a while to get to the table. The service was good but slow. The restaurant is crowded and reservations must be made days or weeks in advance. It is very popular. The wine list is huge and VERY expensive!

Rae Lynn Herbster

Was taken here for my birthday dinner. My husband's co-worker recommended it, and I am so glad they did! They had valet parking and some of the best service we have had at any nicer restaurant. The prices were steep, but given the ambience, awesome service, and wonderful food, we felt the experience and flavor was well worth the cost. Thank you for a memorable birthday!

Louise Campana

Was great!

Garth Wilson

Friendly staff and clean floors were my takeaways.

Brandon Seger

Geronimo was one of the most disappointing fine dining experiences we have experienced in years. My wife and I got a table outside and were totally excited about dinner at the recommendation of a trusted friend. We ordered a bottle of still water for the table and the server brought out sparkling. I said, no big deal we will just take the water you brought so we don't clutter our table with two large bottles of water and four water glasses. This request went unheeded and we were delivered another bottle of water and two more glasses. I kept saying that we didn't need the extra water and she darted away. A manager walked by and noticed the extra water and glasses and remarked that something didn't look right. I asked her to take the extra glasses and we were doing fine. (It is in hindsight that I find out we were charged for both $9 bottles) On a positive note, the house margarita was outstanding. We had one of the finest beef carpaccio dishes either of us had ever had and ordered a nice bottle of Mer Soleil. Everything was dreamy for a beat. Soon after the appetizers are taken away, my wife excuses herself to find the bathroom. Almost immediately our two entrees were set down in front of me and the empty seat. This drew stares from some of our fellow eaters and I just sat patiently for a good five minutes while our food cooled. It was impressive to me that this managed to go unnoticed among the staff. There was no 1 minute check back and by the time we tucked into our meal, it had cooled considerably. I wish that this was the end of the criticism but the dishes were dull and not up to par with traditional preparations. My wife's Sea Bass lacked flavor and the flavor was boring. The Ramen noodles had no bite and there was no texture throughout the dish. The flavors were so subtle that this one note dish played like a flat out of key banjo. My scallops lacked sear. They were just barely cooked and again had no texture. The whole point of a cast-iron seared scallop is the beautiful crust that forms. The train completely went off of the rails when they placed a bird's nest of greasy onion straws on top of the scallops. The onions themselves were on par with Outback for their greasy anything but light preparation and did not appear on the menu description. The service at this point at slowed considerably. We were disappointed while paying the bill. I only wished I would have looked at it closer to see that they had charged me for the server's mistake. I wasn't even going to write this but I had to go through all of my receipts and saw the second bottle of still...ridiculous and heavy handed over selling. If you are going to Geronimo, I don't think that you will have the same experience that we did. I think that with great service, Geronimo could pass for a fine dining experience but comparing this meal to a Michelin Star (as we saw in another review) experience makes the whole city of Santa Fe look bad. The house margarita was brilliant. The beef carpaccio was fantastic. The rest...not so much.

Great food, really good drinks, excellent service. Bar seating and dining area. Wonderful experience.

Dale Ellis

Consistently outstanding food and service.

Joshua

Thank you for an absolutely stunning engagement night dinner. The service, food, and attention to detail were impeccable. Sent a few people your way the next night because of this. All the best to you & we'll definitely be back the next time we visit Sante Fe. (Definitely try the Elk, Scallops, and sashimi appetizer)

We booked this restaurant a month in advance for our 11 year anniversary. This review would have been 5 stars if they would have sat us inside where there were at least 10 open tables. They told us over a month out that there was only seating outside for that date we reserved. When we got there at 6pm for Drinks, we noticed that it wasn’t as packed as they made it seem. Our drinks at the bar were great and the bar tender made an amazing mojito with made from fresh mint from his garden. We then got seated outside for our dinner reservation at 7pm, but it felt like it was 4 do to how light it was outside. Our appetizer (waygu carpaccio) was only ok, but def. a new experience for my wife. Our dinner entrees were amazing and very delicious. I had the elk tenderloin which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the beef tenderloin (frites) which was also superb. This was not our first time at Geronimos, but was the first time being seated outside. This romantic and elegant restaurant does not need to sit anyone outside other than those dining for lunch. It takes away from the whole dinner experience. I asked our waiter why we couldn’t sit inside with all the empty tables being open and she had no idea either. For a 100+/person dinning experience we should have had our choice if there were open tables. We would go back again only if we get to sit inside. The restaurant is in an old 1789 adobe house and it definitely creates such an elegant ambiance with the lighting. Our service was great and everyone from the hostesses to the bartender greeted us with a happy anniversary. Overall, it was a great dinner experience.

Santa Fe is the land of the casual so it's wonderful to have fantastic upscale dining destinations like GMO. The food is exactly what you want at a place like this, rich, indulgent and filling. Although if you're looking for lighter options I'd suggest hitting the bar on a weeknight for some really amazing smaller dishes and snacks. Fantastic wine list and the service is always impeccable.

Great food and service my go to place in Santa Fe

Michelle Goldstein

Charming service from the gentleman who parked the car to our servers. Cocktails that I will remember for a long time.

Micah Thomas

Overall I think it is overrated. We had the lobster, which was too salty to eat by itself, with the pasta it was okay. The beef tenderloin was cooked right and the horseradish sauce was perfect. The bread was dry and not good. The desert were all pretty good and enjoyable. I expected to be vowed because of the name and prices, but left feeling a bit disappointed. I've had more satisfying meals for much less.

Ken Olds

Very disappointing evening. For what is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in town, the service was not what one would expect. And the meal was served only slightly warm. The deserts we're great. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Jennifer Novotny

This will go down as one of our favorites. Phenomenal food, our serving staff were absolutely tremendous. We were treated like royalty by the employees. Best experience we've ever had at a restaurant, including private clubs.

Kenneth Green

Our anniversary, wonderful service and food, cannot be beat !!!!

Steve Gilbert

The staff was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about todays menue items. I had the Beef tenderloin with a side of garlic mashpotatos. It was cooked as ordered & to perfection. My wife had the lamb chops with polenta. The chops were tender cooked to perfection. We had an excellent experience at Geronimo's.

Anthony Gutierrez

Excellent. Mary is the best!

On the recommendation of a Florida friend, we dined at Geronimo. It was everything we had heard it should be. The service was stellar. Our server, Christopher, had a terrific support team to make our meal memorable. The food definitely three steps above. The first course was a shared special of roasted red and golden beets and avocado with frisee on Goat Cream Cheese. My entree was the sweet chili prawns on jasmine rice cakes. Next time, I would substitute the corn cakes. My fiance had the Miso sea bass that was just divine. For dessert, and you should always save room for dessert, we selected the banana cream pie. Nothing was a disappointment. Highly recommend. We would definitely come back. Eating outside on the veranda, the temperature was perfect, not a cloud in the sky at 7pm.

Russell deserves highest possible commendation for exemplary service. He takes wait service to a fine art form; expert guidance without a hint of condescension.

Dale Tucker

Fantastic food! Great service. Intimate dining, but not inexpensive.

Diablo Sullins

Our group of 6 had dinner last night at Geronimo. Everything was wonderful. The ambiance was nice, not overly noisy, the service was excellent. The staff was accommodating and not pretentious. The menu was well covered. Everyone had a amazing dinner. Our Server Craig made our dining experience perfect. Everyone had a memorable time.

Alexa Chase

Spectacular! I was amazed by the food and quality of service.. hands down the best dining experience I have had in 2017.. I will definitely be coming back!

ADM ADM

Very welcoming staff and great food

Lawrence Lyons

Had drinks and light dinner at a table in the bar. Lovely.

Francesca Blackard

Great food, great service- wish they had more Italian wines on the menu and the big ice rocks for drinks.

Blake Elizabeth

Service, amazing. Food, the Elk should be the first thing you try for meat eaters...and for vegetarians, the 4-course tasting menu. Love that they source as locally as possible...

Forrest Stewart

We truly enjoyed this restaurant. We were greeted warmly by the valet and then the hostess. Our waitress had a friendly smile and made the entire night so wonderful! She was knowledgeable of the menu and guided us well to make a selection we would enjoy. The atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. Dress attire is dress-casual to formal. The food was spectacular and cooked to perfection! Thank you for making us feel welcome and right at home.

Jim Ummel

Best restaurant in Santa Fe. Waitstaff , cuisine, ambiance, front end, car valet- all make this our choice of the place to go for a flawless evening out

S P

I can't say enough enough Geronimo. This is a truly world class restaurant. The elk was prepared perfectly. Mmmmm. I will definitely be back next time I go to Santa Fe. Great place for a special occasion.

Michelle Vonderau

We had the most amazing anniversary dinner here. The service is far more friendly than a typical fine dining restaurant and it was more than welcomed with us. Our experience was nothing short of perfect!

Chuck Silverman

Awesome food and service.

Jim Williams

Grant was a great host

Josephine C

We were a party of 8, age range from late 20s to late 80s, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their drinks and entrees. Service was impeccable. This makes a great spot for a special occasion or date night.

Brad Zerman

Amazing food and service. The service was exceptional in every way. They worked us in to sit outside on this beautiful night even though we didn't request at the time of making the reservation. Also the server and chef really went out of their way to make sure my dietary needs were met, which is not an easy task. Amazing food and a beautiful restaurant. This is a not to miss restaurant in Santa Fe. Unusual attention to the customer needs for such a high end restaurant. Too many these days are pretentious. Not Geronimo.

randy cupps

Best sea bass i have ever had! Our wait staff was amazing. Steve and Virginia took care of my wife and I like we were the only ones in the place and made us feel pretty special. It definitely is an upscale place with great good and outstanding service.

Michael Walser

Extremely comfortable venue with amazing service, food and atmosphere. Everything we tried was amazing. The Elk dish was a highlight of the evening, second only to to the service provided by Craig and others.

Very low quality control with top shelf spirits, seems like they do not re-seal their opened bottles. I ordered a double Macallan neat, it came “FLAT”. I’m sure a high school kid can make the analogy with beer. Looks like someone scored very low on the SAT. Spirits are in general volatile, chemistry anyone?? You should not be in the restaurant business if you do not know that. Afterall the bulk of your desirable profit margin‘s “is from alcohol” or “is alcohol”. I have not fully formed my opinion on this restaurant but I’ve been there several times. Very upsetting. I will not be going in a while. It’s amazing how his server can feel or act sophisticated. You just cannot buy that or work somewhere to have that. It’s arguable inate. It is not a role you take on.

Andrea Lisi

Very Nice restaurant. I really love this place, expecially during winter. Canyon Dr is so nice with the snow. The food is pretty good and the staff very professional. We like to go to Geronimo every time we are in town

Siri Vias Singh Khalsa

Hands down the best food in Santa Fe. We love to go here for special occasions. The staff are great, the food is always superb, the ambiance is great.

Bhavisha Patel

Fine dining indeed. The food is good, but for the scale of restuarant and talking (and price), I expect near perfection. The scallops were a bit salty while sea bass needed a touch of salt. We were ignored after entree served and more tables started filling up. It is perfectly ok to go at 530pm with younger children. Nice wine list. For suck a foodie town I would not go here again and recommend trying more authentic cuisine restaurants. The area is nice with art galleries which close in evening. So it's a nice way to end your gallery tour. They are not open for lunch but I would definitely suggest they do with a pre-fix menu.

Our waiter Aspen was very attentive, knowledgeable, & a great salesman of menu items. The atmosphere is wonderful- ours was an intimate room so we could hear each other well. The food was delicious & very well prepared.

Steven Stover

Absolute must do for food in Santa Fe!! The food, the wine and the service are top notch. My wife and I could not of enjoyed ourselves any more.

Tony Iadevaia

Carpaccio was beyond all expectations tender excellently presented. The elk was tender cooking left to chef choice was no disappointment, perfectly done. The single malt scotch was presented as I requested. John Carr Cabernet was a perfect fit. Good body, fruity hints of blackberry and currents. My spouses portion of pork shank was exquisite, properly prepared with great round full flavor. The creme brulee was perfect finish to a fine meal well worth the price. The staff was knowledgeable in their reccomendation and their attention was perfect without being smothering. Mitza did a perfect job, top rated wait staff personnel. The question is would I return to dine there again. The answers is a definitive yes. I can't wait to experience my next choice in their menu.

Ellen Currie

Wonderful food, atmosphere, and service.

Monica Gastelum

Amazing food and service is top quality. Everyone is attentive to your needs, they bring what you need before you ask. The food is great I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Valet parking service was great!

Loretta Lambright Redrick

Yes, yes, yes! The beef carpaccio is the best anywhere. It is either Kobe or Waygu and it’s wonderful! Everything else was delicious too but that carpaccio is extra special. The service is on point and the ambiance is too. Have a cocktail at the bar, it’s so inviting with the old style fireplace. We recommend this place to all our friends who visit the area and everyone raves about it.

Da Dao

the best restaurant I have been to in years! wonderful atmosphere and service, and the food is out of this world!

Patricia Murphy

What a place! There's a reason this restaurant is rated so highly. The food and service are wonderful. Our waiter, Austin, was so attentive. The wine list is amazing. Just bring lots of money.

Guy Y

One of the best meals I had in awhile. A must. Very good service. The dishes were innovative and executed perfectly. Ambience is very pleasant as tables are spread across many medium/small spaces. Make sure you make a reservation. Prices were fair considering quality. Have valet which was needed when we dined

Scott Woody

Great food ,best service I've had at a restaurant

Thomas Nelson

The quality of food is good, with hints at Asian, particularly Japanese, influence. Prices are a little high for Santa Fe in general, although portions are fair. Chic location on Canyon Rd.

Jb Farrell

Great food and service.

Kevin Bishop

Incredible food and service, must visit in Santa Fe.

Robert Gingher

Server was very accommodating, food was excellent

I came here for dinner by myself on a Monday night and sat in the lounge. The staff were welcoming and the overall service and atmosphere was excellent. There were some regulars hanging out, and everyone was in a good mood. I had a house Manhattan, the asian pear salad, and the elk tenderloin. The cocktail was served in a fabulously tall glass with an elaborate garnish of cherries, rosemary and fresh flowers. It was ridiculous, but delicious. The salad was the most disappointing part of the meal. The grilled gorgonzola cheese bites were amazing, but the vinaigrette was pretty bland. Lastly, the elk tenderloin was cooked to perfection. I'd come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Duane Dier

This is a beautiful restaurant on Canyon Road, with delicious food and excellent service. I had the mushroom soup, which was excellent. My husband had the Caesar salad, which was not his favorite. It was one bundle of romaine with very little dressing, however, the jasmine rice croutons were amazing. We shared a New York strip steak ($50), which was huge and more than enough to share. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and so delicious. It came with white asparagus and cherry tomatoes, and a potato gratin. This is fine dining at its best, and I would highly recommend it.

Sue Mann

Yes, an excellent restaurant, but as an aging female, I'd like to see a more nutritional dinner...one with a smaller portion of meat/fish and one with a selection of sides with the entree. How about the servers coming around a second time with some breads? How about smaller plate options? How about several vegan options on the menu? Lots of excellent restaurants do that in other locations. Think about this and good luck.

Very good bar for an airport, with great service!
