Came here 8/9/19. There were flies in the salad bar and on the dessert bar. Literally standing ON the food. The beef at the Mongolian grill has abnormal dark spots on it, and I found a long strand of hair in one of my plates. I brought it up to cashier at the front hoping she would at least give us a discount but nope. Charged full price. Not worth our time or effort to fight over a couple of dollars, we just wanted to get the hell out of there. I strongly advice against coming here but if you do, watch out for those things..

Me and my family ate lunch here 1-3-19. It was 50 dollars for 3 adults and 2 children. I didn't eat breakfast because we were going to eat here. Everything tasted good and I didn't have any problems. I ended up not eating for the rest of the day after because I was still full. The next day I was so sick I can't even explain it. It's now Sunday and I'm still sick. I had to call poison control. They said I probably have food poisoning. My Dad is also sick we had similar food. I know it was the food because that's all I ate that day.

This place is really good and spacious. They have some of my favorite meals here and to top it off, they serve fresh sushi. I would give it 5 stars but this place wasn't as clean as I'm assuming it should be. The floors in the bathroom were sticky and there were paper towels everywhere. One thing I dislike about this place are the cough guards. They're very low and you have to reach pretty far back to get the food which is just as unsanitary as not having a guard at all. Other than that, good food and good service. Will be back.

We took our great granddaughter to dinner with us and she loved the many choices. She is 2 1/2 and made several trips to the food bars. She liked the chicken on a stick, jellos and fruits. She tried many other things an finished with ice cream. All at no charge. Great deal. The food is good and has many choices for adults. We had a great dinner an a great time.

I used to enjoy coming here before. The food was good, the service was good. After a while of not eating here, I went back last week only to be seriously grossed out. Starting with the awful smell that took over the place. I am extremely sensitive to bad odors and I could immediately detect a dirty smell. Followed by the waitress who instead of checking on us, sat down in a table next to ours to have her lunch. I saw here getting up a couple of times to pick up plates but would then go right back to her table. Seriously? The food was terrible! Tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The nuggets were dry and hard to bite on (hard for a 2 year old to eat). Then, to top of it all off, I saw roaches with eggs sticking out crawling on the pillars by the buffet line!! This is disgusting!! I unfortunately didn’t catch this before we sat down, but rather at the end when we were heading to the restroom before heading out. There is no way I will be back here EVER! I refuse to pay to eat at such unhygienic place with bad service.

This has always been a favorite place of the family. We went there earlier, even though we now live completely on the other side of town. But, my daughter wished celebrate her 31st birthday there. It was so cute. They brought her cake pieces and sang 1st in Chinese, then in English, happy birthday. I believe that the sushi bar has even improved. Always, great food at a great price, and very relaxing.

The food was amazing!! But the waitress named "Jing" grabbed my drink from my hand when she realized there was no tip. I normally do tip, but she had messed up on my tables drinks i.e.; giving a diabetic a Pepsi when we requested a diet Pepsi and etc. She even took our plates from us while we were still eating from it!! This happened as of 2/9/2019. I come to Buffet King once a month and have came for over 3 years now, but after our encounter with Miss Jing I'm deeply thinking of reconsidering my options.

I love this place. I went there the first time on Christmas, and I have been back regularly since! Here's a buffet protip: go straight to the hibachi bar, load up on meats first with a few veggies on the side and barely any noodles. Put your SAUCE ON THE SIDE and hand it to the guy. After that you can go load up on buffet items but go for the protein items first, and after that you can eat soup salad sushi and dessert! They also charge you $2 for each plate you leave uneaten so join the clean plate club! They charge by the pound for to go boxes. Very good foods but you have to go in with a mission to get your money's worth

Food is great, service is friendly, but bring a few bucks to tip the Mongolian BBQ chef when you get your plate. I only had an ATM card and that chef made it super awkward when I didn't have money to throw in his tip jar. I planned to tip the waitress on my card and wasn't prepared to tip other staff during the meal.

Just....kinda bland. The food is either too sweet or too salty; those are the only two tastes. No etiquette; when you walk in you get greeted with "how many." Okay for binge eaters I suppose. The vanilla "ice cream" is essentially chilled sugar water with powdered milk.

Went for a quick lunch break (1 hr), cost was $10.27 before tip. They have a Mongolian Grill, a variety of sushi rolls & nigiri, & cold shrimp & mussels in addition to the usual Chinese Buffet fare. I would eat here again. It's slightly above average as these types of buffets go.

When we got there, I asked if you guys have a veterans or senior discount. The lady at the front counter looked at me weird and asked how old are you? I said its not for me. Well if you want a full meal and a large dose of MSG then this is your place. We went on a Sunday and it was pretty crowded. I think all of the after church people come here. But you have lots and lots of food options. Everything was pretty good. I can’t eat here often because I’ll be fat if I do, but it’s a nice option once in a while.

Good food. Good service. Adequate atmosphere. The Mongolian grill was a tasty addition to the buffet. The buffet had the usual fare for US-Asian food (Gen Tso's, etc) and something I didn't try, sushi. The service was good though in a restaurant such as this it will be limited to the grill master cooking the food and the waiter taking plates and filling glasses. The atmosphere was better than the usual cafeteria. The ceiling is slightly lower and the tables are not squeezed together so it gives the feeling of space without confinement.

We went in with a large group & they were able to accommodate us although we did have a reservation. Arrived around 3pm & it was still pretty packed. Some of the patrons were rude & pushed around you. Great selection BUT the food wasn't that great. Usually I can put my feed bag on & put some Chinese food away. I managed to chew through some tough General Tsos Chicken that was pretty bland & everything fried tasted stale. WARNING: DO NOT EAT the cake that looks like red velvet. You ever ask for a Dr. Pepper and get unsweetened tea instead, it's that kind of shock to your system. The staff was very pleasant though.

Horrible! None worse in Albuquerque and definitely the most expensive for buffet. Steam coming out of steam table but food is cold by the time you sit down to eat. Perhaps health department should take a look. If the pans aren't sitting in the hot water, the food doesn't stay at correct temperature. Absolutely horrible.

My husband and were visiting from SA and someone recommended the place but we didn't really enjoy it. The food was bland and not even that warm. We've been to other buffets where the food selection is larger, this one seemed quite small. We sat on a booth next to where the waiting staff has their drink refill station and we couldn't help but notice a specific smell lingering in the area, like if there was a water leak and their carpet got wet. We ended up paying around $34 for the both of us including the drinks on a Sunday.

It was an overall ok place. We paid 52 and change for 3 adults and one child for weekend buffet per person including 3 drinks and a water. The food was very average, some things even bland. There is not as much variety as some other buffets. The water, like most buffets, has that sewery taste that you have to cover up with lemon. I guess its worth it if you are a person who will be eating more than one plate because for 11.99 plus drink for one is just not worth it.

Excellent selection of sushi with seaweed salad and even kimchi available right next to it. There's mongolian stir fry and lots of desert. Not much selection at the salad bar but everything else was good. I ate fried chicken and fried bananas which tasted pretty good. Unfortunately the fried fish isn't very good. Also, the all-day dinner is all weekend and costs $12.99 ( a bit pricey). Though lunch is weekdays from 11:00 am-3:00 pm and costs $9.49. Overall this is a pretty good buffet and I enjoyed it.

I’ve been here several times and I can’t believe that yesterday when I went there for lunch they had several plates of food under the heat lamps which should have been kept heated but were literally cold, such as the mussels, shrimp cakes, and cheese stuffed mushrooms for examle, all should definitely be hot but all tasted ice cold and as though it had gone bad! These weren’t even under the same kiosk! Cold food that’s supposed to be hot everywhere! Soup all tastes like it is gone rancid...the seafood soup is disgusting!!! Every single plate, all the chicken, beef, everything, is HORRIBLE QUALITY and tastes terrible! You can tell nothing is fresh, DO NOT EAT THE SUSHI!!! I have horrible food poisoning after eating there yesterday and will NEVER go back. And I could tell while eating I was probably going to get sick! If you don’t want a food bourne Illness, DO NOT EAT HERE. Avoid like the plague!! These owners should be ashamed of themselves! I hope the health department shuts them down!

If you have any allergies do not eat there. My daughter is highly allergic to shell fish. We grabbed Mongolian and explained that she could not have it cooked on a surface that had shell fish cooked on it unless freshly cleaned... I even said it not a preference she is allergic to point of hospital. We got her plate and because the guy was cooking other orders that had shrimp she wound up with shrimp in hers. Although they coomed fresh after fresh cleaning she was unabke to barely eat for fear. They did nother else to compensate was done. Instead they said when we come in again they will know how to separate hers.

I used to love this place when we moved to Austin 3 years ago but now it has gone way down hill we went there to eat and the noodles look like they had been sitting out since lunch time and were crusted onto the pan. I used to come here quite often because the food is pretty good, the restaurant moderately clean, and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Several things that bother me are that the carpets need to be replaced and some of the chairs have holes in them or are rickety....I feel I may hit the floor any moment. As I said that food is pretty good except for the ice cold crab legs which I'm used to eating hot. Fix these things and I may return.

The egg drop soup tasted like hot water, my mom had gotten the hot and sour soup she said that it also tasted like water. The crab ragoons were crispy but the filling tasted like nothing. The fried banana was okay, I thought they meant a plantain but it was literally a banana, it was sweet and kinda mushy but it was okay. The sesame chicken was juicy, but wasn't seasoned and tasted bland lacking flavor. I only really enjoyed the white rice which was soft and fully and the fried donut which was crispy and sweet. I wish I could say I enjoyed the food. But I really didn't. The quality of the food is not worth the price you'll spend here.

I used to enjoy coming here to eat with my family since it open ... but food service has been declining for a while now and today the food tasted bland and everything looks unappetizing to me and my husband and I so we went to the Mongolian grill which I have to say the cook is very sweet with a positive attitude and smile but my server “ling 10 “ gave us the check right in the middle of sitting down to eat and asked me to pay up ... and I told her no because I was still about to eat .and when the servers clean the tables they shove everything on the floor and it makes me sick in a way because as a server your supposed to keep the floors and environment clean for other guest to eat also . And at the end of my meal I was going to the front to pay and she just took my money with the little back tray and then walked so rude passed me almost hitting my baby with her shoulder when my husband was carrying him and she was talking in such a rude tone because sh thought I didn’t leave her a tip but I did back at the table . So this will be the last time ever going .KING BUFFET You have lost my business.

Got tired of it so I asked for a coke & same thing. I wasn’t even done when they were already asking me if I was going to pay with cash or card. I don’t know about you all but I like to enjoy my food.. without people asking me what I’m going to pay with.. wait till I’m done and at the cash register.. then ask me. Will DEFINITELY not come back!!

I loved it. this was my first buffet here in Albuquerque. I came from Las Vegas NV where the food is good also. and comparing this to there. it's was great. I would totally pay to go again. it was a total of 30. 10 per person and 3 per drink and then I got a pot of Jasmine tea. I did over eat and did get sick by that was my fault. that's how much Ioved it.

My son took me there for Mother’s Day. The restaurant was very clean. The food was wonderful. The crablegs and seafood selection was awesome and all the other selections. Buffet King needs to work on the quality of their food and their tables. Most Chinese buffets in Austin close because the owners tend to neglect their own property. Seats and carpet are just nasty. I would love to see a refresh and some attention to the dining areas. Also, the food has not been seasoned since 2015. Everything tastes like cream cheese. Bland and boring. General Tso chicken shouldn't taste exactly like Sesame Chicken.

The crawfish is dark grey inside. The chicken is slimy. The beef is cold and odd tasting like it was cooked expired. Ive been to many different asian buffets. About an hour before they closed every employee basically began to harass us into leaving... they didnt bring drink refills...just standing around staring at people. Awesome food, great service and a decent price! I would actually come here when it’s more busy because the food is fresher. They even have a Key master arcade game and a few claw machines. But it would be nice if they would pay out prizes more often. Still one of the best buffets in town!

When seated, my 11 year old was asked if he was an adult. When he stated his age, the hostess looked at me disbelievingly. He's 13lbs overweight. 13Lbs. Yeah, thanks lady. Luckily he, being a CHILD, didn't catch her rudeness. The carpets smelled. The food was meh. Chicken on a stick was good. But everything else needed copious amounts of salt, soy sauce, ginger, kimchi, or fake wasabi to be appetizing. The fruit was unripe. The jello too firm. The soup watery. Dumping cheese on things doesn't immediately make it good. And even after being informed of his age (and he eating only 2 pieces of chicken, a serving spoon of mushrooms, and 1.5 bananas) I was STILL charged for him as an adult. We won't be retur ning. Kung Fu in Pflugerville is smaller, but cleaner and the food is definitely better.

I only gave one star because they didn't have -1 available. Very unfriendly waitress. Two of the fish dishes were old and tasted do fishy, I couldn't eat it. Their tv ad showed a senior special on Sunday. When I went to pay they said it was only Monday and Tuesday. I spoke to the manager and he said I couldn't have seen that because it flashes on the screen too quickly. Hmmm. He said watch it again. I have to admit, I'm not usually a fan, I come here every year with my family, and while it's not without merit, I don't usually leave dreaming of my next visit. Pretty standard Oriental fare, sesame chicken, wantons what have you, and the Mongolian BBQ is a good mixup. They also have a decent American selection for picky eaters. But what they have in quantity and variety is marked by overall lack in quality. In general you can find better examples of virtually every food served somewhere in the city. Even the soft serve I had today was over frozen, and tasted almost on the freezer burnt side. It's good when there is a large group and a wide variety of tastes, since they will have something to mildly disappoint everyone.
