We were visiting Frank Lloyd Wright's Unity Temple and wanted a place nearby for lunch. Winberie's is a short walk away. The dining room is very attractive and the waitress was friendly. Food was pretty good. Recommended, especially if you enjoy conversation with your companions.

The food is ok. The service not great & the staff needs stuff to do. When we went recently two waitresses were standing behind our table organizing forks & spoons the entire time we were there, it was hard to have a conversation they were making so much noise. If they were not doing that they were walking around our table looking into space. It was a very uncomfortable experience for my family & I. We will not be going back. Manager on duty should really pay attention & get the staff some real work to do or send them home.

Pub is great drinking or happy hour atmosphere. Because it is a pub it has dark wood and feels a bit dark inside. Great beer selection as well. I haven't eaten there yet, just happy hour drinks.

The prices here are clearly excessive. Most of the beers are $9 or more. The BBQ burger that I had, while decent, was $14. A burger and a beer (not even a fancy beer!) should not cost almost $30, with tip. Don't support this business model.

The atmosphere was great, food was delicious with an emphasis on various melted cheeses, the bartender and hostess made my experience by being very conversational and friendly. They play great music, the decor is ideal for the environment they are going for (dark woods, nostalgic photos, subway restroom tiles). I highly recommend a visit!

Tuesday night, we got a table right away. My husband got the ribs and I had the Alsatian chicken salad. The salad was a VERY good and my hubby liked the ribs. We had a quiet booth, very private (after the college students left) . Great place, great food. Parking is horrible. Oh well.

The food was great. The blood orange mule was mediocre and didn't come in the traditional copper mug, which, in my opinion, makes the drink. The service was great, though and the atmosphere was trendy, warm, and inviting. It felt like an Irish or German tavern.

I've been going here since I was a kid (my mom used to work here) and I've always had a good experience. The food here is great and the service is good. The bar gets crowded at around 7pm fyi. Prices aren't terrible but it's not cheap either. You definitely get your moneys worth though. Some of the furniture is a little run down but nothing bad. Will always come back.

People are afraid of this place because they assume if it is in the center of princeton it must be super expensive. This is not the case ! If you want a burger or regular bar food with your drink the prices are good. Only downsides are it can get very loud and crowded.

Went here to eat with the family after watching a show on campus. The food was decent, however, the Caesar salad was absolutely awful. We weren't sure how one could mess up a simple salad but the dressing was terrible and the entire salad with soggy and inedible. We didn't touch the salad after the first few bites and the server paid no attention to that. Our server actually failed to ask how the food was overall, which is a let down. The booth the table was placed near was not attached to the wooden bench underneath. This was uncomfortable and cheap looking. If someone got up, the entire booth felt it and were disturbed. I understand this is a pub-feel restaurant, but it would be nice if there was more attention and care put into the service.

I will first preface this review by saying I have been to Winberie's for dinner a number of times since I work in Princeton. Today, I chose to go for Happy Hour ( in the bar area) and I must say , it was a great time. Our server came over within minutes of us sitting down. I was surprised at the prices for food and drinks ( a true bargain) during happy hour especially since we were in Princeton. The food was great and I will be going back again and again.

I’m a regular in the Princeton area, but their late night happy hour from 10-Close was incorrectly posted on the menus outside the main door, and happy hour menus were passed out by the bartenders. The manager proceeded to treat us rudely and refused to rectify his error, claiming that we should have alerted him of the error before paying. Honestly, the handling of this problem ruined the experience, and it is a shame because it could have been easily solved. It came down to a managerial issue and a problem that resulted from him refusing to realize the error in the sign posted at the main door.

My first impression of this place was awesome. The spot was just right for the locations. We were greeted by warm smile by a lady as we entered in and guided towards our table. We were here at 9:10 pm and there wasn’t any waiting time. There was little time between sitting down and placing an order. Our server was quick. Our orders were simple. We received all our orders in 12 minutes. Chicken pot pie (pictures attached) : 6/10. Decent amount of chicken. Serving size is big (for Asian standards). The chicken and potatoes are cooked nicely, tender and flavorful. A friend ordered the veggie rice bowl, a little overly salty (soy sauce). The dark espresso brownie was very yummy, not too sweet. Perfect with the vanilla ice cream at the side. And I can’t comment more about my Blue moon; it’s just the way it is suppose to be.

Winberie’s Restaurant was good but not as good as it used to be. The presentation of the food and costumer service was really great. Quality of the food didn’t surprise me too though. I wouldn’t recommend getting the toll house pie for dessert. Rating it 3 stars because I did not feel satisfied after eating my shrimp linguini which almost never happens when I eat out, specially pasta. Overall experience was okay. I would come back again to eat something else.

Winberie’s is a great spot in the center of Princeton, convenient to the university. The restaurant offers a selection of lunch and dinner entrees and a full bar. The bar area happy hour offers drink and snack foods at reduced prices. They also have a large selection of craft beers on draught. Quick and friendly service always.

Food was fine but service was an issue. I suggest telling the servers to write down orders. One person in our party asked for a glass of water 4 times before it came to the table. Another person ordered a beer that did not come to the end of the meal. These are just two examples, there were others.

Nice place, but it could use a little updating. Newer cushions on the seats that look fresher would be nice,but I'm nitpicking. The food was good and they had a lot of options at different price levels. I had the chicken alfredo pasta and it was perfect. I like that they offer smaller portion options for the pasta dishes. The beer selection was awesome! Lots of local brews. I tried the Thomas Jefferson which was really good.

I came here around 10 PM and sat at the restaurant. They told us they are closing and we were confused because yelp said they closed at 2AM. They told us the sitting area closed at 10 but the bar area is open until 2AM. This place was pretty dead and the decor seems like they havent updated it since it was opened.

It has good hearty American food but I always found the food too heavy and basic. If you're looking for comfy food this is he place for you, but not for those looking for a refreshing twist on a classic dish. The restaurant is also very dark and loud so it's not the most intimate place. Probably good for a large family dinner.

Really friendly staff. Had a reservation for 8, that I made the evening before. Told them ahead 2 maybe 4 kids. Arrived 30mins early and they had the seating prepped within 2mins of us arriving early. Seated with 2 kids, crayons, and coloring mats, and drinks arrived within 5mins. The other 4 members arrived and all were able to order drinks. I could tell the waitress took extra notes for any menu change requests, as well as drink specialty requests. She also took an extra moment to ensure our order was correct and reread the order to us. Food was good. Portions were large so some options can be shared or taken home. We paid with no issues. Clean and positive vibe. We even came back bc the little ones needed to use the bathroom after walking through Princeton, and they happily said welcome back and did not make a fuss. I feel this was a down to earth, friendly vibe restaurant. The bar was packed bc of happy hour, and I was not aware of how many bartenders were working. The waitress did frequently refill our waters and drinks without requests needed. There was trivia night going on as well in the bar area, however we did not partake.

Food is amazing and they have an awesome selection. The only problem with being a great restaurant in a college town is that you will NEVER get a table. If you enjoy intimate settings then this place is way too loud and congested for you. Staff has been pretty rude on multiple locations but I rarely let that discourage me from any dining experience. The food and drinks are great but I don't enjoy my time as much as I could, my suggestion would be to visit during periods where they're dead.

We had a Salmon burger which was ABSOLUTELY delish! The "Craff Burger" was a newly added item on their Specials list and it was also very good! Craft beers available for Craft beer lovers and they have a number of beer on tap. Prices were not prohibitive, especially for what is expected in Princeton. A local favorite, and as much a hidden gem as you can have at Palmer Square. I'm a big fan of the cozy atmosphere from its downstairs location. The food is good -- try the BBQ burger! -- prices are reasonable, and it's about as casual as sit-down places get in the Nassau St area. Highly recommended, especially for lunch.

Wait staff was very friendly and kind, so we didn't mind the long wait. The place was pretty loud, but the atmosphere was nice. The food, however, was only okay, and not quite worth the price we paid for it. Our waiter suggested mac and cheese as my side without mentioning we'd be charged way more for it, and the mac and cheese was incredibly bland anyway. Overall an okay experience, but we won't make it a habit.
