It was so nice. I have heard about the hamburger is the best of other burgers like five guys or In-and-out. When I tried it, I got it why it is good. Especially the meat in the burger was fresh and good quality. I couldn't eat very oily food. It was good to feel less oily with hot sauce together.

This place awesome. Dont expect to be wined and dined with unlimited seating cause then your in the wrong place. But if your looking for amazing little burgers then get ready for a treat. Took my family from Staten Island for these tasty burgers and they all had positive reviews. Credit goes out to the team working. How they do it when it's so busy is amazing.

Sorry to say but the taste of these burgers simply doesn't live up to the hype. The are soggy, bland and difficult to eat after having just one or two. I do praise the hardworking staff there. They do an amazing job dealing with so many people / orders non-stop but like I said, the product is nothing to write home about.

Would love to say how the food was but we walked out before it was ready. They should probably look into hiring someone who doesn’t hate their life to work the counter. Maybe they should put up signs that says “please order separate items with separate people “ because there’s a man for fries, a man for drinks and a completely unhappy woman for burgers. After hearing her rip into multiple people I decided my money would be better spent elsewhere. Maybe the burgers are fantastic. But I’ll never know.

Cute little historically significant burger stand. Burgers are mini & made fresh in front of you on potato rolls. The stand overlooks the Hackensack River so even eating in the car is enjoyable. It’s a family tradition for us so I recently brought my son as I used to go with my Pop when I was his age.

When visiting a restaurant that has been on TV I always go for the food they are best known for. Cheeseburger sliders with onions smashed down. I recently came back to this place to have some burgers and I was reminded why I really like this place. We opted for a seat around the grill area. We ordered quickly and got our food in made fresh in front of us. It could be hectic when it’s busy but do not get discouraged. Top notch burgers :).

There is a reason this place is considered iconic. It’s not just because the generous portion of beef is perfectly cooked, not because the onions are steamed on top of the patty and the bun warmed on top of that - no - truth be told there are lot of great burgers in the world. You come here for the experience. From the moment you walk in the doors you quickly realize this place has its own set of rules, it’s own culture. All walks of life come here, corporate types to mechanics. And while no one is overtly friendly here, there is an unspoken courtesy and respect, an order that can be felt and is it’s own brand of shared comradery. A shared love for a simple burger made in front of you the same way it’s been done for decades.

forget white castle this place is amazing! there is a system and all the workers have it down packed! its a bit tight inside but they do have the option to order ahead and take it to go. such a fun experience though so if you haven't gone you should definitely go and try them out.

No other classic burger comes close to this place. Staff is friendly, meet is moist and tasteful. Plenty drink selections. If you lucky will have a seat in front of tge frying plate. It will bring up your apetite level by a factor of 10. All food made fresh. They make burgers for take out too.

Ok so wanted to go to this place for a while now. While in Hackensack thought we'd give it a try. First the lady at the grill had major attitude. We ordered 4 singles 2 with onions 2 without. 1 order of fries (had to order from other guy!) And drinks had to be ordered from 3rd guy! Burgers are cooked on a flat top grill with raw onions (reduced pungency via water bath), on top half way through the cooking process they are flipped with onions on bottom. The top side of the burgers have not been allowed to brown (Maillard reaction) for flavor. The bun is allowed to steam a top the burger. The 3 oz. Uncooked burger looses about 50% of its weight cooking. So its fat content is about 70/30%. No seasoning was used, so we had to add our own salt and pepper. We decided to eat at the counter which can only accommodate anyone under 5'2" or your knees hit the front side of the counter. Price was reasonable and crinkle cut fries were excellent. All in all gave 2 stars.

I do not understand why people give this place good reviews. Drove by saw a crowd and googled the place. Wow I thought I found a gem! Unfortunately the quality of beef used to make these burger was low quality (select at best). 1 stars for the history. I thought the burgers sucked. Tried a double, single with and without cheese. You're better off going to a dinner for a better burger. Maybe back in the day they were great. Now awful. PS. Drop the attitude your making sub par burgers in a hole in the wall.

If there is a burger heaven, I hope it is like WM. :) Got 5 cheeseburgers and it was top-notch. Excelent blend of juicy meat, perfectly made onions, pickles, tasty cheese and bun. Potato something that needs extra line...it was fluffy and full of juices from the meat and onions ( bun heated on the meat and onions, not just on dry grill) You can watch the skills and speed of burger "master" while completing the sliders, which is a nice bonus. ;) The aura of the place, is something you must experience!

White Manna serves excellent hamburger sliders. You can order just one, but most regulars seemed content with half a dozen. The wait can be long and the line out the door, but it’s an historic roadside dive in New Jersey that’s worth the drive and time. They also have a veggie patty. Burgers with the works include fried onions, cheese, and pickles.

Great place if you want a cheap burger. They're small but for about a buck a burger, not bad. Burgers are standard nothing too special. Customer service is subpar at best. Clearly a popular place though because they're always packed. Takes both cash and credit.

One of the best things about moving to Hackensack is our proximity to White Manna. A go-to must have staple of the town. The cheeseburger sliders are delicious. The sliders are grilled with onions on a potato bun. You can call ahead, to speed up your pickup time. White Manna is a go-to place whenever we have visitors. As some friends have described them it's "White Castle, but so much better".

From the tiny turn of the century building to the counters and of course the AMAZING burgers, this place is a must for any greasy food enthusiast. I had the double cheeseburger slider and a side cheese fries. The burgers are excellent. Great flavor and texture. I had just grilled onions on one and with grilled onions, pickles, ketchup on another. Absolutely worth it. The fries are ok. The place is tight. Extremely small. Better to take out than expect to stay in.

Our 1st visit and we were not disappointed. The staff made us feel like we were regulars and the whole experience made us want to come back for more. Start with 2 burgers fixed the way you want them and you can add more as you go. The fries were hot and not greasy and the shakes were thick and smooth. Definitely a place to go back to often.

The burgers here are great!!! Yeah, I guess the service is kinda slow, seeing that so many people are there, but I still believe that White Manna is the best restaurant ever! If you live In New Jersey, or heck, if you live in the neighboring states of New Jersey, I’d say come here, and at least try it.

This estimable establishment is a greasy spoon type of restaurant that basically only serves burgers (actually sliders) and fries. Their burgers come two ways; with onions and without. I tried and liked both. Restaurant is a little on the small side. Not necessarily the best place to take a 5 year old.

We walked in and were not acknowledged for over 5 min. Other customers walked in and were asked what they wanted to order right way. We later learned that the staff were overwhelmed with a large order of 50 sliders. Common courtesy should have been to communicate with their patrons about the large order. They didn’t say a thing and proceeded to be extremely rude when we tried to place an order. Probably the worst customer service experience in a few years. I heard about the spot many years ago via Anthony Bourdain and was so excited to finally visit. I’m highly dissatisfied with the attitude we received from the manager. The sliders lived up to the hype, though.

Very small place and good food but by far the worst service I have received. The man on the grill was very rude but the fry cook was very nice. But since the griller was the main guy it kinda ruined my experience. He took forever to cook the burgers. Now a story to show how rude he was. A man walked in and asked for sliders. So he says in a very rude voice “ what am I sliding?” The man took a few seconds to decide what he wanted so the griller said in a very rude voice again “ cheeseburger, hamburgers, do you want onion or no onion.” He was annoyed for no reason. Was rude to me. Rude to other diners. Made me annoyed and I was glad I was leaving when I did.

PROS: This place has a long history of having the greatest sliders which is why it's always jam packed. The servers are very nice, and they cook the food in front of you. The parking lot has enough spots for you (since it's a small place, therefor, not that many people will take up the lot). CONS: The sliders are not the best I have ever had, they're not even as good as Friendly's. I tasted more bun than anything else. The place is cramped and run down, they only accept cash, and if you want to use the bathroom its around back. OVERALL: I went for the nostalgia of the place since it has good history, but compared to a billion other places (fast food, diners, etc), this place is no where near as good. If you want better sliders, go to Applebees, Hooters, or TGI down the street. If you choose to come for the nostalgia, get it out of your system and go here.

This place is worth your wait, but if you know you want it and have a time crunch, call ahead for pickup because it's always a 30 minute experience at least. The guy flipping burgers will only take your burger order, while another man will take fries drinks. They have an order to things and will get to you when they get to you...come in assuming there are three other people waiting to order before you and be patient. This place is always packed because their burgers are PERFECTION. They're everything you could want in a slider sized burger. Shakes are amazing, too.

This place is sooo good, the best sliders it’s very tasty, you will need at least 3 double cheese with onions there is no room for groups it’s so small. You will smell like a piece of onion after you leave. My only 2 things is they are kind of rude and soooo slow. But you have to try it !!!

We had heard how great these burgers were. So we made a trek from Summit. They were good. One guy makes the burgers and another one gets the fries and sodas. We never did get the fries. Which was too bad because they looked good . If we're in the area again we'll probably go back, but not a special trip.

Prices are extremely reasonable as well. My boyfriend and I got three double cheeseburgers, two milkshakes, a thing of fries, and a small soda for $24!
