Three stars are mainly due to the venue not having any sustainable way to serve their produce. There are no cups, plates or silverware when you order for consumption at their place - everything is throw away garbage. Attached two example photos - this is for one crêpe! Other then that the coffee and food are delicious; would definitely give a higher rating if it wasn’t for the packaging waste.

One of the best small but cozy cafe. Such comfortable and warm seating along with the local french setting. Greeneries, fairy lights, french cuisine, and collection of local buys. Super tasty menu and a totally worth your money!! Must visit!

Hidden gem in Rumson. Great pastries, breads and cheeses. Their breakfast sandwiches are also fantastic along with their French inspired dishes. Prices are very reasonable and everything is made fresh on site.

My muffin was pretty good. The, croissant was okay but certainly not as good as a non-French bakery I like. It was disappointing, as I'd hoped to have found another place with a great croissant.

I love this place, but the brunette in the cashier today needs to change her attitude or be removed from there. It really turned us off how she was treating us, she was so rude to us and giving us a look when ordering even tho we knew what we wanted and didnt take her time at all. I was going to order more stuff to take home but she really made us have such bad experience that we just ordered breakfast this time. I wont be returning if shes still there. What an unpleasant person to have in the front of your business. I'm a regular customer and love the croissant but I will think about twice before going if I have to deal w her attitude again. I was so looking forward to a nice breakfast and she ruined the whole experience.

The food is very good here. However the staff is rude, at best. And the prices are horrific. If you want to spend $30 on two breakfast sandwiches, and coffee. and want to leave hungry, this is the place for you.

The French market brings a taste of the France to Rumson. Delicious, fresh pastries and delicious coffee make a welcome treat. Need some cheese or a hostess gift? It's all there. My favorite? The Almond Croissant. You can't go wrong.

This is an incredibly cozy, soul-warming place. With the calm French melody, abundant greenery and the soft glowing lights, you feel like you're being whisked away into a French countryside. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. I ordered a brie and fig jam crepe and it was exactly what i needed on a chilly, stormy day. I'm not from the area but will definitely put this place on my map for many happy returns.

LOVE the French Market! I am lucky enough to work down the street & come here often for lunch. Whether I dine in or take out, it's always delicious! The coffee is excellent. Their french onion soup is AWESOME. The salads are fantastic. GREAT relaxing atmosphere. HIGHLY recommend!

We enjoyed the French Market the first two times we went but this last visit, not so much. It started out with while entering their parking lot my car sunk into a ditch-like area at the entrance which seems to have been there for some time yet undetectable to the customer driving in. The car hasn't been the same since. In addition to a 'rocky' start, while waiting for our breakfast meal, we searched for a restroom which is non-existent to its restaurant customers, HUH!? We had already ordered our breakfast so we found ourselves very uncomfortable and unable to enjoy our meal. We unfortunately do not plan on returning and do not recommend this restaurant to you.

So back into the French Countryside in this quaint bistro/deli located in the Gorgeous old Town of Rumson, NJ. Sit in the back of the store under in sort a greenhouse with little nic-naks for sale around the back. Sit on a "tree" stump while enjoying their lovely Homemade soups, salads, sandwiches & confectionery offerings. You will be delighted and pleasantly surprised with the quality from this small awesome place

Pastries and quiche were yummy, hot tea and coffee were good. They have iced coffee but not cold brew and some non dairy options for creamers. The seating area inside is small about 4 tables but on nice days there's a couple outdoor tables. No table service everything is ordered at the counter. Staff is very friendly! Kids are welcome but there's a lot of breakable items so definitely have to keep them close.

My first time here, idk why this place would be downgraded. It's really good. Big menu, delicious crepes! Decadent desserts (mmmm brownie) that they all make in-house. Lots of tea and coffee options. Friendly service. Lots of cute trinkets for sale. Very French feel and has outdoor seating, albeit not a lot of seating altogether and my understanding is Sunday's are packed.

Super cute little shop, busy. The crepe was delicious a little salty. Our lattes took a long time to make but the quality was spot on there was a little disorganization amongst the staff but they were friendly. nice, well lit back porch to enjoy coffee but chilly back there as they don't heat it. I'll definitely be back.

I’ve been to the French Market 4 times now, and I don’t even live in N.J. It’s so good that every time I visit Rumson, I have to stop in for their breakfast! I highly recommend the breakfast croissants. Their homemade croissants are buttery and amazing. But even better with egg & cheese with either bacon, sausage or spinach inside! Love love love this place!

I walked into the French Market expecting a small sandwich shop. What I found was anything but that. The space is designed beautifully. The relaxing French music brings you right to Paris. Pastries, cakes, bread and artisanal meal options are just the start. I ordered a chicken club sandwich, which was done perfectly. I sat in the outside seating area i the back, which was heated. It was perfect for an afternoon lunch.

First authentic croissant I've found in the States! Not to mention all the other food they have is delicious too. Can't believe this hidden jem was so close to me this whole time and I just now found it. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.
