REVIEWS OF The Buffet IN New Jersey

Alonzo Rowe

I had an extraordinary time at this spot. We loved the first-rate environment and the meals. The staff are very welcoming. I’m happy we finally decided to visit this restaurant.

We were there on a Saturday evening 03/25/2017. There is a very interesting selection of food, from Hibachi, to Peking duck, lobster, lamb chops. Our cost for two people with 15% service charge was $45 a person. I did not try the raw clams, oysters and raw sushi, because did not want to take a risk of getting sick from eating raw seafood. HOWEVER, there were PLENTY of cook foods to choose from which is the reason why I gave it 5 starts. In other words, there is always something for everyone. I will go there in the future. The best place since Harvest Buffet.

Alozmighty

This is one of the best Asian Buffet, the prices and the food are great. There isn't much service but then again it is a buffet. The employees working behind the meat and the vegetable bar are always kind and attentive even when they get 5 to 10 orders. They don't ask for a tip but I personally think from all the employees they do deserve the tip because they're standing there for hours making orders. The interiorn design is a combination of the modern Asian and the traditional Asian. I really like this place. The restrooms are always clean and the place is always neat. I love the different variety they have from sea food to vegetarian food. They have a little bit of everything and they replenished very often. This is really a great buffet to spend time with the family and friends doing something we all love, eating.

Henry Mui

Buffet food is okay for the price, service is indifferent and quality is average. Eggplant tasted funny and not fresh, waitress gave a blank look & did nothing.

Teddy Lau

Overall, a well rounded buffet with great selection of food.

manlai koo

My family been there lots of times . Food were pretty good . We went today 1/26/2019 for my son's birthday . The only thing we r not happy was the glasses weren't that clean . The inside is sticky too . I hope they can do something about this because we paid a good amount for each person .

Conor Floyd

The customer service is regularly quick, good vibes, welcoming staff. Will visit here again when I get here.

Axel Calderon

Very well organised and convenient spot. They offer big portions and for reasonable prices. I loved the menu a lot and the staff were very affable and informative. Recommended.

JOHN WONG

the food taste good. not many people wait but still have to wait about ten minutes to get seats. the price are quite a bit expensive. $35.00 p. p. plus tax plus 15% tips so around $40 p.p. I give three stars because the price or it is a good place to eat.

Angelo Roldan

This place is very expensive. At best food is mediocre. Hard to find. Elevator damaged.Did I say it was expensive $40 pp.What a rip.also check bill for mistakes.

Christine Montierde

This place has very large windows, with nice views of the NYC skyline, despite not having private rooms, they have certain areas you can still have a small party. High quality upscale buffet selection..Staff very accomodating.

Wayne Wang

I had an awesome at this place. We enjoyed the extraordinary environment and the meals. The staff were very personal. I’m happy we eventually managed to visit here.

Anh Nguyen

Good place for an inexpensive group buffet

Paul Evruts

cheung li

my favorite restaurant. great price for lunch and delicious sushi and crab

Andy Oh

AMAZING AYCE buffet

Erica Chen

Good food for a reasonable price ($20-$30)

Ronny Oemraw

The buffet doesn’t have many options but the options they have are very good. Everything taste good plus lots of seating and nice views of manhattan

Wesley Plays

The place is clean and the food is amazing in my opinion

Hasani Worme

There is a wide selection of food a little bit for everyone, even a chocolate fountain. The scenery is very nice as well and staff were attentive, concerned about your state and service was amazing. Lots of seating available and also kid friendly so bring the kids too. Food was tastey and fresh lots of sushi rolls to choose from, drinks were unlimited and the gig is far from primitive. Worth the money they even had spicy Crawfish and sweet & sour jellyfish snails and much more exotic foods. There was no rush and even after paying we were allowed to relax and digest even grab more desserts. I offered and really wanted to tip but the waiter said it was not necessary. Will be going back again soon.

Alexandra Vung

Average food typical buffet... lots of food can be better charging that kind of price!

Frank Li

They were good at the beginning. This is my 3rd time being there. We found their food quality is getting worse, $35/person is too much for the current food and service. You have to pay the tips they want. Those waiters put tissue in the apron pocket. They use their hands to clean table, and if customers want tissue, they just use the same hand to take out tissue from the pocket.

Wen Yang

No AMEX but no sign for that anywhere, the cashier is very rude. Seafood is not fresh, never come any more.

Ford Loh

Great food

Cheryl Cuffee

The atmosphere was very chic and refreshing. The service was spectacular! My first experience and I really enjoyed everything.

Pastor Yang

The food is very commendable, but the cost is too high. The price of to go food is cheaper.

Ronald Chan

Great food. Great service. All you can drink Bubble tea as well!!

mi jin oh

They r soooooo unkind... amost rude.. Nobody is smiling. Their website is wrong informations. No liquor ( website says they have). Never gonna go back.

R W

Absolutely worth the price! Weekend lunch $30 includes everything! So many choices from Chinese to Japanese and Thai such as dim sum, Peking duck, crawfish, sashimi. They also offer crepes and various desserts. Two hours free parking

Amanda Chan

I came for lunch with my family. food is good. Not Salty. View from the window is very nice. 2hrs free parking.

Rosia Mahan

Such great food, I usually like to try new items because you will never know if you like it or not if you don't at least try it right?

Lusi Altman

Good food. Good service. Because it's fairly busy the turn around is high so the food is fresh. No need to tip.

MavPlays YT

Love this buffet, food is amazing and staff are friendly

Jaye Louie

Large variety of food prepared and presented perfectly. Friendly and efficient service. Well worth the price.

Jian Huang

The buffet keeps it's quality very well for years. This place is one of the few places that I trust for all you can eat. The food is good with alot of options. They have sushi, oysters, sashimi and alot of Chinese cuisine that are as tasty as the ones from regular restaurants.

Kdlegend Gaming

This place is not worth the time or cost of ur money for the holiday season. almost 40$ person for low quality food tat dont taste tat gud. I will never come back to this place ever again.

Leonexy Oyola

I came here for my birthday and I was completely disappointed. There is not much variety (at least not worth the amount we paid) and the service was poor. Whenever the server actually come to our table, she kept getting our drinks mixed up; except when it came to bringing us the check- she came right away after paying the bill. I have noticed previous reviews expressing the same concerns involving the service and certain additional fees, and I noticed a pattern of similar (empty) responses with weak apologies. However, I would like to provide a suggestion: If you Deeply care about the customer’s satisfaction and having “integrity” you should really consider changing that 25% service fee policy in order to fully evaluate the performance of your staff.

Kenny Hoong

I paid my bill at The Buffet using credit card. That is the only time I used my credit card on that day. The next day my bank called me and alerted me about fraud transaction. The bank needs to cancel my credit card and issue me a new card. I will never go to this place again.

Kevin Smith

This very well may be the best buffet in the City. I include photos as I am sitting here in disbelief. Pricy at 27 dollars inclusive per person for lunch, gratuity, tax and beverages, it makes up for it in glorious views, stunning decor and exquisite food. The diversity and abundance of the selection is amazing, including sushi, crepe and dessert stations. Atop a hotel on the fourth floor the parking lot is pricy but there is ample on street parking nearby. You need to come here!

William

Great food and service!

Genevieve Rodriguez

The food tasted good though there could've been more variety for the weekend dinner. Staff was quick but they were rude. I would come back again.

William Kan

Good place when you or your party wants a little bit of everything.

Jennifurr C

Go to spot for a buffet, variety of foods and desserts!!

joel alejandro

no much variety, a little too expensive, paid nearly a $100 for two people

Chao Xu

I love this buffet. Great food. Reason price. Nice service. Inside the restaurant makes you want to eat more.

Xi Lin

Not bad at all, much better then some of those who delay supply of snow crabs and other sea food. Just one thing to be aware of , when you get the check the 15% is already added. Whatever they call it on the receipt, it is tips.

mrbrightside2250

Now, unlike most dining experiences where the quality of the food and service takes center stage, a buffets deserve a unique method of gauging excellence. Clearly, the food was not the best Chinese and Japanese food that I’d ever had, but the quality and consistency of the food in the buffet setting at an affordable price point made it completely worth it. Sure there were ups and downs while browsing the wide selection of food available, but hat is half the fun of enjoying a buffet. The servers were attentive to refilling drinks and my party of friends ate our fill with very few complaints. If you wanted to know what to eat, I would definitely recommend getting something from the hibachi station such as the steak and scallops, but make sure that you inform him of how much seasoning you want. Also , the dessert station is plentiful and delicious. Overall, I’d have to say the flavors were all a little too subdued for my taste, but as a buffet they are playing the odds and it is simply safer to go the milder root. Would definitely come back again and recommend it as a nice lunch or dinner spot with the family.

Emily E

So many choices and all delicious. It's kind of pricey, but understandable when you see all the seafood and meat selections. Very nice atmosphere and clean. Wait staff is polite and attentive.

Wei Chen

Not too much variety, but enough. Taste is decent, but nothing jaw dropping. The roast duck is quite good. Several items including ramen, grilled scallops, salmon, and others made to order.

Cheng Man

Very good sea food

chen su

Its my second time here and i was so disappointed for the food!!!That's what i had for dinner and made me feel so bad.Never come back again!!!!!

kelly stevenson

Over priced, food not replenished quickly, u have to ask for crab legs, heavily rationed

Di Wang

The food is amazing, a lot of good options. This place is kind of hidden though. After you get into the building, you need to go to the 4th floor. And if you don’t finish all the food/drinks, they may charge you 30% extra. I went during Wednesday lunch hour and it was about $60 for 2 people.

Carol Dongen

I would like to update some pics of this buffet, but I didn’t take my phone yesterday. This is the best place for my family from now on.We would like to take our friends here too and we really did so .Cuz we have more choices in a clean place here and I like the dessert and sushi. They have great chefs. And you can enjoy your food and parking both.

Mike McCue

Nerts. This review was supposed to be for the Hotel de Point. I guess I'm going to have to try the restaurant now.

Myroslava Karaim

Really nice place with delicious food. Something for everyone: soups, seafood, meat, vegetables and sweets. At lunch time it is less crowded than at dinner time. As a bonus - view to Manhattan and Verazzano Bridge :)

wilson goode

All you can eat asain food is pretty cool. But the food is not very good. Definitely an interesting experience though.

Juan Ng

The food was amazing but by far the worst experienced due to the heat. Limited air conditioning and they sat us in the worst possible spot. Who want to eat when its 100 degree outside and in. Very bad.

Sherry Lin

The food was cold ,my service Michelle's is worst. She never refilled drink, she took my plate every rude .An extra 15% tip is unreasonable in the bill

Catherine M. Park

It’s not a top notch restaurant but Reasonable price, adequate quality and friendly staff. Close from my house; big plus for me!

Nan Jin

Great seafood and Peking duck!

Sandy C.

Everything was very good! Very crowded which means the food gets turned over quickly. The wait staff clears plates quickly and will give you refills on sodas. Great variety of dishes and there was plenty of sashimi, raw clams and oysters, fish and meat dishes, shrimp, prawns and crab legs. There is also a dessert bar with a chocolate fountain for strawberry and marshmallow fondue. The cakes weren't great but the Portuguese egg tart was very good. Highly recommend, was worth the $$. Expect to pay about $43 for dinner on the weekend. This includes gratuity. I also would like to add that although I ate plenty of raw clams and sashimi, I did not get food poisoning! Awesome!

Peng Lin

You can eat everything. Tasty food

Peter T

The food here is really good. Very friendly atmosphere. Only down fall is this place is way over priced. $35 a head for dinner

Ja-Chi Wang

Food is very fresh and tasty, but they will charge you 15% of service before tax for the dinner. So the total price after tax will be around 45 bucks.

гоголь моголь

It was my first time in buffet. They have great various of dishes. Geytza was awesome! Good list of seafood. When I saw red caviar I was so happy and thought that it was on taste as Russian caviar. Red caviar was not natural on taste :( Deserts were fried in oil and you will feel that oil. The waiters are always looking at you like a warden. It's unpleasant. Maybe this is normal behavior for Asian culture, but in European culture it looks very strange. Funny restrooms. Attached recording. We were with husband and our bill was $90. Think it is too much. Also, they include tips on your bill.

Ray L

We came here for a weekday lunch. No major disappointment, nothing too exciting either. The lunch price is fair since it includes the tips and drinks. But I wouldn't want to pony up for the dinner or weekend price though. The view is quite good if you can score a window seat. They have a $2 coupon for adults if you pay cash.

Calvin Lui

Pricey, but strongly recommended for family gatherings. The Buffet is a clean, modern, and tasty restaurant offering a diverse serving of Asian food. Ridiculous amount of options to choose from, including deserts. Drinks are complimentary as well.

tang Xuehui

This place have the best interior decoration in $33 range. The food is better than most buffet and is very consistent. They gave me the check exactly at one hour and thirty minutes, but I did good 4 plates already and not sure how they make money at $33(that's $8.25 per plate). I see a lot of people complaints about there servants but these are hard work people focusing on getting work done at a fix rate so don't expecting them doing any ass kissing. If you looking for a seafood buffet for only $33 to gain few pounds than this is a perfect place. I recommend.

Dong Huang

i had bad experience that night, our waiter only came to our table twice, one came for ask our drink and another time came to gave our bill. We were 4 peoples, each person were ¥34, add on will be 136. When I see my bill, the total is 170. They charge 25% for our tip with no service!! And I didn’t see him smile once. I will never come back again!!!

M K

Lunch during the weekdays is a bargin. All you can eat. So many seafood option. They are pretty fresh! Great view as well. Wide variety of Asian cuisine.

Mimi Lee

Some of the food was good, some of the food was bad. Here’s a photo of the lovely egg custard tart I got that had a huge hair in it. Good service. Dirty plates but not a huge deal. But the hair far outweighed the pros for me, will not return.

Biju Varghese

I don't like seafood and it was good to see there were options for me.

jue chen

Very good and fresh food, they keep the table stocked. It was during Father’s Day we went, had a good time stuffing down, lol .

David Miao

Food was okay and wait staff took very long to clear the table. Worst of all was the undisclosed hidden fee. They trick you by saying there is no tipping required, but then slap on this extra "service fee" when you get the check. This is essentially a forced tip they demand you pay. It is quite possible I would have tipped more than the fee, but felt cheated. Will not revisit this dishonest business.

Paul M. Bacalan

Great foot for a reasonable price great atmosphere with super friendly staff. Tons of choices fresh food and a desert bar to match omg I'm totally addicted to this place.

Rocco Buzzi

Best buffet with the largest variety of food have ever seen a lot of authentic dishes there

Rong Wang

My family used to come here every month. Went last night, it was not a good experience. 1. Food is not as fresh as before. Especially the snow crab leg and crawfish. 2. You have to watch the time. It was first time that someone came with bill and told you time is up. With 2 kids, 90 minuets is not enough for enjoying the food. 3. Paying $40 per person includes tax and taxable 15% service fee, you hardly see anyone smiles. And I think they increased kids price. $26 for my 3YO’s fried rice. lol 4. Parking is not free anymore. :( Overall, hot food and sushi is still good. But will find somewhere else to get foods and service that worth $40.

Sun Tex

Expensive, but upscale! Welcoming and friendly staff. - Noticeable from moving traffic. - Wheelchair ♿ accessible entrance. - Public parking for customers. - FREE public parking for customers. - Plenty of seafood

Kamui G.

Been here multiple times. They increased the price for mother's day. I enjoy the foods and with the variety of choices there's something for everyone. Of course I have my go to dish which I look forward to when I go. Don't forget to get your green tea ice cream and cotton candy before you head out. Love the bathroom. Last time we went and my daughter needed to go, was the first time I went into the women's bathroom. You just have to push a button and the toilet seat cover rotates to new piece. I was dreading having to hold her while she went since she's getting heavy. Parking is kind of limited and chaotic, but plus side is they now have valets.

Dinh Han

Delicious variety of a Chinese buffet. Great hot dishes, salads, soups, habachi, and really good desserts, unlimited fresh OJ, bubble teas, and other soft drinks! $2 off via Yelp check-in. Great view, free parking lot. Clean restaurant.

NYCBOYZ

Many choice so many selection.

Rachael Cheng

Michelle waiter is very rude ,I have never seen such a poor waiter.

kpop lover

Nice restaurant, widely assortment of food and the staff is really great, I feel very comfortable with the food & service, I totally recommend this place.

Sam Loc

Good food, great variety. Very long wait.

Kenneth Li

I have been to this place a few times per year since grand open. The food was petty good, but it got me bored, the menu hasn't changed for years. It would be five stars if they can make some new dishes.

Neufeld Leader

We arrived at this spot for lunch. my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt good. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Tony Lu

Dishes are fresh, tasty, and refilled quick. However they charged 15% service fee and called it administrative fee. Never heard of a buffet place charged this kind of fee. And they charged tax on top of the fee too.

Emily Chan

It use to be so delicious.. but now a days I think they're starting to cheap out.. they stop putting out things at a certain time even though if they ran out of it and closing was like in 2 hrs... My family use to come here so much. Now I know why there's less and less business here. The lampchops are still very good, their canned abalone dish is great too. Sashimi here is great, I would hold off on the sushi here. Make sure it's fresh , like I said they don't put out certain things. Becareful with the pineapples .. Everytime I go to that area I always see hair inside the pineapple dish it's nasty... I don't know why Everytime I come back it's gone but I know the same dish is still placed there just someone removed the hair. It's gross. I really like this place and for me to give it a 3 is really painful. The food is GOOD HERE. but all these small pettiness for a not so cheap buffet has to stop.

Sandy Song

Expensive, but great seating and great staff. There's a variety of food and comfortable chairs.

Irene L

This is an all you can eat sushi and seafood buffet. I found the pricing to be very convenient. The tax and tip are included, as are soft drinks and bubble tea with refills! I like not having to calculate individual tips and taxes, and just having everyone split the bill evenly. I got the bubble tea, and while the milk tea was good, the tapioca wasn't the best. It wasn't nearly as soft nor chewy as I would've liked. The seafood tasted very fresh. They have raw oysters, surf clams, shrimp cocktail, and even whole crabs! The surf clams had an ocean-y taste but I did like that about them. The waiters are very attentive. I took a whole crab and a waiter brought me that tool to break apart the crab, before I even thought to ask for it. I was very happy with the variety in sushi and sashimi. The salmon was my favorite. It was so smooth, like butter. The restaurant is clean for the most part, but the blinds next to my table were splashed with something and that was a bit of a distraction. The bathroom is also mostly clean (with very good selfie lighting

Jason Rupp

This is probably just about the best value buffet there is in New York. Love it!!

Mehdi S

Awesome place and importantly: it's clean. The food is fresh and tasty. There are a lot of choices, including Peking duck, steaks, a variety of seafood/fish dishes in addition to all the usual Chinese/Asian classics. Also, finally an Asian place that has very good cakes/pastries. It's more than 1 hour drive from where I live, and I still go eat there each time I get the chance.

NYC Sporkful

Lack of selection, majority of the hot food was lukewarm or cold. Pretty empty for Saturday lunch. Has huge potential but ultimately was not a fan. Will not return. Mizumi is far better the superior buffet in the area.

Dave Lim

Initially they said that the buffet price will be $36.99 per person but soon they changed their word by saying it will be over $48 per person because of "extra" service charge. I told them, I do not need the "extra" service, I just need buffet. Unfortunately, they responded that it will be $48 per person regardless. They just try to charge you as much as they could. I am Not going there!

Shelly Anin Real Estate

good place to eat after work

Jonathan Pei-Chan

Can reserve tables for big celebrations. The food is pretty good for a buffet. The place is clean and the decor is more modern looking than your average Chinese restaurant. Buffet prices are higher for dinner and the weekends.

Ke Gong

Excellent food. Great variety. Highly recommended!

Mad Wanderer

Very good food and lots of choices. $35pp pls tax and tip on weekends.

m m

For $30 a head I was expecting to get way better food. The food was such low quality it was unbelievable. They had very limited options also. The sushi is the only thing I liked.

Mic Jac

The place is overall amazing. The food taste good. My only suggestion is that they should have more nigiri options and the sushi has too much rice. The place itself looks beautiful. I will definitely go back. The waitress are all nice and accommodating.

kent Chin

all chinese/japanese buffet..."mizumi & the buffet all have 90 minute time limits.....tick...tick...tick

NIEVES PILI

Great selection of dishes; super friendly & courteous staff. Will definitely come back & tell my friends to come!

Nick Cutrone

So much food! Many choices! Attentive staff. Really nice place!

Ilya Vaysberg

It does not cost $46 per person :(

Lee Ai

First of all!service was very poor! The waiters come to our table to ask what drink we want and looks like he was not really want to talk .i try to ask one more time what drink they had, because he said too fast.he does want to answer my questions. No smile and rude.i don’t really know if he know what’s most important for his work?service!then we start our dinner with this bad feeling.Nobody come here to ask if we need to refill any drink, nobody care if customer need some service?they come to your table just want to take your plates.if we need some help we have to go everywhere to find a waiter!three waiters stay together in the corner by drink machine, they talking and laughing.but when you go over there to ask for something they stop smiling.after I said thank you they don’t even say back “you are welcome”.I guess because the tips already included in the bill.so they got tips already, they don’t want to improve their service.I came here to try buffet because they get new food but I am disappointed.food was not worth for this price.flavor was poor.really want to talk to the owner, good customer service and smiling face will be better to make comfortable for your customer.even your food was average taste ,but if we got good service we will feel toooooo much better!your server make us never want to come back.

Kert Feey

To be honest, the place is pretty legit. The prices seems pretty legit too because they measure how much a person can eat through their height and also through “kids and adults” which generally cost 35 dollars for “big/tall kids and adults.” There are great food and delicious ones too, however, most food aren’t fresh at all, simply dry. I don’t recommend the seafood in this place but overall, there are a lot of different kinds of things to eat.

Ivan Vilchis

Good stuff clean food could be better but good stuff the guy cooking the meet is a good cook could be more of desserts but good stuff

Deepak Singh

Fun clean place, the buffet is affordable. It can get crowded on certain hours on the weekend's. The have a decent section of various food.

Jimmy dobin

Haven’t been here but would love to go but just want to note that $35 person is not expensive considering ppl waste food n who pays for that? I myself only take what I can eat n if I’m not sure if I’m going to like it then I take one drop

Alicia Yang

I enjoyed coming here with my family on the weekdays and like the variety of food provided. I really liked the mocha cake and the dim sum but what surprised me was when I came here once on the weekend (today). It was a Sunday and like usual I went to the dim sum area and took the Shu mai. They were cold despite the buffet just opening (it was around 11:30), but I didn't mind until I bite into one and found the instead still pink (raw). On that same day, I also tried the oreo cake just to find the filling tasted expired/unfresh/weird. I was quite surprised to discover two blunders in one day so I decided to stay away from any raw food, but when I went home my throat started hurting really badly. Thus, I wouldn't really recommend coming on the weekends because, in my opinion, you would be paying more ($28.99) for a worser quality than the weekdays ($25).

Anonymous Person

Quite pricey but foods pretty good and it's authentic.

아현

Really good place that you can't find second place like this in flushing. The recommend time is lunch, it's only $20. $20 for fast refile and nice dishes. 5 star!!

Simon U

Good food good servicec and average AC, recommended to give it a try!

Alexis Wong

A mediocre buffet that will satisfy the latest food craving binge. The food quality is typically better on the weekends rather than the weekdays as new batches frequently cycles in. There is a wide variety of Asian food selections however the flavor is subpar on most dishes. Also, keep in mind there is a 1 1/2 hour limit for dining.

Young J

I had the lunch here today. The price is reasonable and foods are not bad, most sea foods are fresh. The price for dinner is little higher than a lunch but expecting more foods coming up. Wide space for the parking lot and clean inside. Very good if people like various kind of sea food.

Bayti

Been here few times and the food selection are the same each time. Yes it is a buffet with many many different varieties but it doesn't change, meaning the few times I've been, it's the same varieties. Besides that, the sushi and hot food are delicious and fresh. The raw food such as oysters are another story. Not fresh and quite sandy.

Serena Pietrangeli

Terrible quality of sushi and fish. 35$ for the buffet in friday night. When they bring you the check the amount include taxes and 15% of service (tips), but is a self service restaurant!

Stephanie Perez

I came here recently for dinner with my husband and a friend. Traveling here from Astoria isn’t easy but I had heard good things so off we went...in an Uber...lol. The selection of foods here is pretty impressive. Literally something here for everyone. All sorts of meats - spicy and not, a butcher block, lots of sushi, handrolls, raw seafood bar, pepperoni pizza, fries, chicken nuggets, sausages, ribs, Peking duck (with or without baos!), noodles, crazy dessert spread (plus a self-serve soft serve machine!), a make-your-own-crepe station, Cotton Candy whipped up to order, soooooo much stuff! Quality wise, food was pretty solid. I tried as much as I could (got 3 “sampling” plates) and then made 1 dessert trip. There’s even a karaoke bar in the building to you can make a night of it. I got sick BEFORE coming here because I got car sick in our Uber, so my stomach was already sensitive and I DID NOT get sick here at all so I think that says a lot. Food here was fresh and being churned our while we were there so it felt like stuff was being made and put out responsibly. Would I come back here? I totally would. I’d be excited to see if they change things up or if it’s the same stuff, lol.

Case One

If the waitress look you like a hobo, do you still think this restaurant will provide good service? You have to finish your dinner with 1.5 hour and they will give you the bill and ask you time is up and got the go!!! This is "THE BUFFET"

Wil Tuan

Best selection of any buffet in the Queens area. King crab legs, stone crab, fresh raw oysters and clams are the main seafood flagship items here. There are other unique dishes I've not seen at other buffets, such as Peking duck (with scallions on bun), frog legs, snail's/periwinkles, abalone, and mayonnaise shrimp and roti canai. Dessert selections are highlighted with a chocolate fountain, cotton candy, green tea ice cream, along with many Asian style cakes and fresh fruit. We came later on a weeknight (8pm) and food wasn't filled as frequently, but with the huge selection, there was still a lot to eat. Wait staff was helpful and not rude, but the place didn't look as clean as other buffets I've been to. Paid 31.99/pp and 15% service charge is automatically added with tax on receipt. Pro's outweigh the cons here.

Richard Chen

The best sushi buffet I've been to (that'd be all in nyc) tied with Mizumi.

Yat Sang Yan

Even for lunch buffet, there are lot of choice of food, mainly Asian cuisine, sea food and sushi. The food is delicious, but too bad I can"t taste them all.

awesome seafood bar. sashimi, clams and oysters are very fresh. they even have chilled dungeness crab! good selections of soups, dimsum and dessert.

The hotel stay is good if you like your privacy, but the buffet on the 4th floor is way too much.. $44 per person and it is always packed. I refuse to pay that kind of money . $25 if you want a carry out instead. Unless the food is line with gold no thank you..

We went during dinner time. One the buffet they had a lot of seafood like crab, oysters, clam and more. They also offer sushi, steak, peking duck and other items. The buffet includes non-alcoholic beverages. They do charge a 15% service fee which is not the tip. If you plan on going highly recommend going early because there will be a wait.

Very good quality of food and different varieties. Focus is on seafood and Asian cuisine. On the weekends there is usually snow crab legs which is why there's a premium price then. Turnover is quick as good is always coming out

it was really nice, i was surprised by the desserts that they had that other buffets don't, although it was odd where the buffet location is cause it looked like no where but once you are in , the place looks amazing, they serve bubble milk tea , crepes , cotton candy, and many more Asian food varieties

Victor liu

Great selections, service is pretty good.

Best Asian buffet that I'm aware of.

I find this a complete rip off. They have a hotpot menu that is supposedly enhanced by the buffet concept. I prefer the lamb hot pot down the street from me.

If you like see food then this is a must place to go. Very small selection of Americanized Asian food. The Buffet selection is large with authentic Asian recipes. Full of flavor don't be afraid to experiment and try everything.

The inside was modern and spacious; I asked to be seated in a cozy corner then enjoyed a mostly peaceful meal with a view of the city. The bathrooms were very clean (self-cleaning toilets too?) and often that means a clean kitchen. Selection was huge, larger than that of Mizumi: tons of traditional dishes and some dim sum but no oden/ramen. Dungeness crab, flounder and shrimp dumplings were personal favorites. Brunch is the way to go here because for ky 25 per, the hibachi, bbq, and crepe stations are manned and there's comparatively little people. Remember some of the dishes, like the pork spareribs or the yakitori, are flavored quite strongly. You will be sick if that's all you eat. Try some blanched greens and have some soup on the side, recommend goji berry and chicken herb soup with corn added to it. For dessert, try some fresh fruit with your ice cream. Also if you, like a certain reviewer, don't want to pay 25 for your 6 year old's fried rice... don't bring them. It's a win for everyone because then I won't have to hear their screaming, which was pretty much my only complaint. Drinks come with the meal, get the bubble tea. I think it was jasmine. Also, to the reviewers complaining about getting no smiles on the side: they work for a set gratuity and have a lot to do. They also watch you eat so they can whisk away your dishes and refill drinks as fast as possible. It's the same like getting chinese fast food: speed over all. Don't be an idiot. Tl;dr like most buffets some dishes can be a bit rich, some mediocre, but seafood's nice. Impressed by the variety. Still the overall best chinese buffet I've been to in Queens.

I had the most satisfying meal in my entire life. We were a party of 12 and everyone enjoyed the food. Very clean including bathrooms. I will keep going to this place. If you love to eat them this is the place for you.

Not a good place to go at all. I cannot recommend this place I got the worst experience

I just had one of the best meals that I've had in a long time from The House. I got the steak and wasabi noodles which was great, but the stand out dish was the special which was cod in miso sauce with sushi rolls. The cod was out of this world - buttery and cooked to perfection. The miso sauce was delicious too. I definitely want to come back because I've heard the garlic noodles are fab too. Great, fast service and I was able to get a table for 2 with no wait at 6pm on a Sunday night. Casual place so there's no need to dress up. Overall, wonderful experience and delicious food.

Food was not fresh at all,the quality now is bad bad bad !but the price is expensive, service fee was force to charge!and we also tips again!that’s sad,not come back ever never!

It used to be a lot better than now. I went to this place few weeks ago with friends and it was disappointing to see the waitress customer service was terrible. She showed impatience and lack of professional skill. No wonder the service charge is include. With their horrible service, they would get much tip. Also the oyster and the calm was not wash clean at all. I can taste sand in every single bite.

Much improved from my last visit four years ago. Watching the chef cook in front you is always fun; the steak and shrimp were very good. The cakes were very tasty this time. The sushi still wasn't as good as the local restaurants. The waiters were attentive and the view of Manhattan at sunset was gorgeous. The Buffet is a great family spot. The children will have many happy memories of eating there with the chocolate fountain, watching the chef cooking, the pastry lady making a crepe, cotton candy, vanilla and green tea soft ice cream, the big windows to look out of and the toilet seats that with a touch of a button put a new covering on like magic!

I visited The Buffet for the first time last night and it was an experience all in itself. The amount of food they produce is phenomenal. Everything I tried was fantastic. Flavourful and cooked to perfection. For the price and what they serve, the price is spot on. There are some house rules to be mindful. They get REALLY busy. They have seating times if they are busy. Also, wasting food is not an option here. Don't take food you won't eat because they will charge you extra. It's the solution of not letting people waste food which is awesome in my opinion. Parking gets a little wild so come early.Enjoy!

sai gee

Very good food and lot of different choices + FREE drink.

Alice Cheng

Today my coworkers are celebrating my birthday there for lunch, afterward 3 of 7 people have diarrhea. What a terrible experienced!

I love this spot! They have awesome meals, their menu is rich, The chief cook in that place is a real authority in the kitchen, I like a lot tasting all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I frequently visit this place and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend this place.
