This place has quality food. I think people below do not read actual postings on the place, but they are technically not open and are currently operating under a "soft opening". The food is great, service is a little slow and the drinks haven't arrived yet, but this place should be rocking and rolling in about a month!

Same issues as a few others here. Wait staff seemed to be lost and not know who was serving our table. Besides the serving issues, the food just wasn't that great. Regular tacos that you can get anywhere and a little bland at that. Even trying some of the "Korean fusion" tacos was just uninspiring. And for the price I expected better.

The platter is sooo delish! It's enough for 2 to share and take a little home for a midnight snack. Wait staff is very attentive and pleasant. You can tell a lot of the customers come in to relax and enjoy good food.

Perfect!!!! Best fish tacos ever...and thats coming from a dude that lived in hawaii. The kalbi sauce they use is on point too. Perfect korean bbq taco fusion. Amazing.

Got two tacos, one carnitas one bulgogi. The carnitas taco was good enough for a fusion place, but the bulgogi taco was way too sweet. I don't know what they're using to marinate their bulgogi, but it tastes like it's using at least twice the required sweet ingredients. I wanted to try the galbi taco, but for some reason the kitchen wouldn't make a bulgogi taco with galbi instead of bulgogi (I can't have kimchi, which is included on the galbi taco). When I asked why not, the reason was "it isn't on the menu." I don't know if anyone reading this has ever made tacos, but substituting one meat for another in a taco is probably the easiest substitution a person can make, unless the tacos are pre-made. Whether or not these tacos are pre-made, I can't say, but being unable to substitute a meat certainly doesn't speak well for a kitchen's competence. Overall, I was so disappointed by their inflexibility, I stopped after two tacos and didn't try anything else. If you want better Mexican-Korean fusion, you might be better off going to Asbury for Mogo.

Thumpin Latin music, cozy atmosphere, attentive staff. Place is good. As a vegetarian I really like their take on the veggie steak tacos, go when Luis the chef is on the grill, can't say the same for others. Their specials are good to, Thursday post 7pm $4 draft beer.

A friend took me here on a day trip in NJ and it did not disappoint! Service is fast and tacos were crazy good! I ordered the spicy pork and the bulgogi tacos. Their mango margarita is also recommended.

Happy hour is reasonably priced and with daily deals like 3 tacos for $10 on Taco Tuesday, what's not to love? Customer service is super attentive and the hosts and servers try their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

While I have had some poor experiences with Takorea in the past, it seems like things are finally improving. The staff still remains friendly and helpful and the qualities the food is gradually improving. I do think that the food options can sometimes be a little bland, but it's an ok option for Harrison. I do strongly suggest visiting when the full menu is available, as the event menu has some limitations. I'm that to see that this is becoming a little bit better of an option.

Their prices. Holy cow did they think they were opening a place in Manhattan? Besides, I had a meal when it was supposed to be happy hour that included beers charged $3 over regular happy hour pricing. They do not deliver despite, in my opinion, an abundance of labor. I think there are a dozen better choices when it comes to food options. However, when it comes to expensive, tasty food with overpriced drinks you can't beat takorea.

The place is very close to the Harrison PATH station. A good place to hangout with your friends. About the food: We tried chips & salsa, pollo taco, shrimp tacos and burrito bowl. The chicken taco was good but slightly bland. The shrimp taco was chewy. The burrito bowl was delicious. Good portion which can serve 2. Overall, the food was fine.

1st Visit: The Kimchi Fried Rice was pretty good however it's not the traditional Korean taste. It taste as though it has gochujang in it. 2nd Visit: The first picture is the Galbi/Kalbi tacos. I wasnt a fan, but I'm sure the general public would the love the taste. The second picture is of the Kimchi Fried Rice. As you can see, I forgot to take a picture before I started eating. Please excuse me, I was so hungry lol. The Kimchi Fried rice was delicious.

Four stars because I’ve eaten here before, And the food was great! ....like several times lol including via uber eats. I went in on a Saturday night 10:36pm (i looked at the time before going in with my husband to make sure it wasn’t 11pm closing time yet) and was told the kitchen was closed. I live in Harrison, but it was game night that day at Red Bull, so many people walking in to get food and we’re turned down. They definitely lost hundreds if not couple thousand dollars that night turning away groups of people, like myself, who made it there before closing time. Anyway, who closes a kitchen half an hour before closing time... All in all though, try their food, it’s an amazing twist on Korean and Mexican cuisine!

Fusion food is always a gamble, but there is nothing about this place that feels arbitrary. The menu choices and ingredients are well thought at and compliment each other well. I mainly order takeaway and have found their delivery times to always be spot on and food arrives hot and fresh. In premises is refreshingly open and airy with a nice weekend bar should you fancy a drink while you wait. The fries they sell with cilantro and cojita are like crack FYI.

The burrito bowl was bland, it had spice to it but lacked flavor. l also had the spicy shrimp taco with its baby shrimps for $4.50. Look, do yourself a favor , If you want amazing fish and shrimp tacos, this is not the spot to go to. GO TO Fat Fish in Caldwel instead. If you're gonna pay more than 3$ for a taco, regardless of the location, it better be stuffed to the brim with all types of deliciousnes. MANAGEMENT, please go to Fat Fash and take notes instead of beating people over the head with those skimpy ass tacos being served at Takorea. MORE LIKE TAKO-PORQUERIA.

The double fried wings are a must here but you need to dedicate a little extra time to them. It takes about 20-30 minutes to come out but it's definitely worth the wait. They come out super flavorful, crispy, and juicy. The Crispy Soy flavor is really good but the only thing is that it is crazy salty. Totally worth the bloating though.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I keep coming back! They have weekly specials like Margarita Mondays, Taco Tuesday, Wing Wednesday and so on. The wings, sooo crispy, def recommend the Thai Chilli sauce. The bulgogi meat on the taco or the quesadilla is sooo good. Everything is so good. They now offer desserts, which I am def going to try soon.

You may ask, why not 5 stars? I mean the food was great, nice atmosphere, close to the Path trains and Red Bull stadium. Unfortunately the service was subpar. Messing up orders left and right. But, Elian saved the day! Made sure we were taken care of, even though he wasn't our server. He shook our hands and made sure we would come back. I hope our server can learn something from Elian. Make sure our drinks aren't empty and pay us more attention, instead of talking in the back with friends.

Korean Mexican fusion in the heart of Harrison just a short walk from the Red Bulls Arena. I've never been here and it not been busy and with good reason. Tons of great taco options from traditional Mexican to Bulgogi Beef which is top notch. Solid cocktail menu along with a varied menu (Tacos, Burritos, Salads, Ramen) makes this a must stop if you are near by.

Update 2019: I have come to dislike this place. And it's mostly cause of the attitude of the employees and few other things. Service is just so so and that is not acceptable given that it would cost about $15 for a meal (excluding tips). That's quite steep given location and the type of food. But that is hardly my complaint. I recently planned my evening and went there for dinner on a Weekday. But having reached a full hour before closing they refused to seat me. I mean if you close your kitchen a full hour before closing you need to place that on your website. Second, they offer delivery only for residents within half a block of radius but not for any residents who are a mere block away. I hope the owner realizes he is turning business away cause of plain laziness of it's employees. Third, they usually out of one or two items on their menu. First you don't deliver even a block away, then when a customer shows up you refuse service a fill hour before closing and then on top of that often have items missing from the menu? Great Management!!! Older Review Thisplace opened up fairly recently. It's quite spacious, has eclectic interior and the food is great. Service is prompt and the servers are friendly and go out of the way to make sure you have a good meal. It's great for small bites. They have tables for largers parties. However, I feel it's a tad bit over priced for the location. But, still a great place to eat.

I’ve had my eyes on this place ever since my dude moved to this area. Finally we got the opportunity to order it as I was coming over to watch an NBA playoff game. The plan was to have him order it for pickup. He called multiple times. Like a lot of times. Like 20 times and he got the busy tone every time. While driving (sh, don’t tell) I even tried and eventually someone picked up. I spoke up loud and clear cause I heard a ton of background noise. HELLO I’D LIKE TO ORDER FOR PICKUP. The woman says what in a heavy accent then proceeds to hang up the phone. Next time I call I get the busy tone again. WTF! My homie sees you can order online only for delivery so we just end up doing that. Food - Got the Sweet Chili Korean fried chicken wings and the Bulgogi Quesadilla. The wings were $12 for 6 wings. Seems pricey but they were pretty fat wings after being fried. I tasted the potential but they weren’t so amazing. Plus, they didn’t have ranch, only these very small tarter sauce containers. Make sure you have ranch at home if you order take out! Maybe cause they were more on the lukewarm side by the time I chowed down on em. I bet these are bomb at the restaurant. But you know what was bomb for take out. The Quesadilla. Man, this was probably the best Quesadilla I’ve ever had. It’s that type of taste that makes you salivate thinking about it the next time. We did add Salsa and this Ghost Pepper cheese to it but even without it, I could tell they had something special with this dish. It was all in the Bulgogi. I bet the Burrito would be just as mouth watery too. -1 Star for their whacky service with the phone and hanging up on me but I’m looking forward to sitting down and eating here. They have specials every day too!

I love the idea of Mexican and Korean food smashed together its a great idea.For what I paid the portion size were adequate and it tasted great. I really liked their sweet and spicy double fried chicken wings. It tasted like the Korean traditional dobboki. My favorite was galbi quesadilla. My dad and mom also liked the galbi quesadilla. I think tacos were a little too small and a bit overpriced but it was good regardless. It's not too pricey either.

I never write reviews but the wait here is insane when the place isn't even crowded. The tacos are good and came out fast. The bimbim bowl was a bit flavorless. The chips and guac to go comes with the teeeniest guac container (not worth it). And the chicken Puebla plate took nearly an hour, it tasted fine.. but over fried almost charred. And After an hour wait for the chicken (with management saying 5 min, 10 min, everytime we'd ask.) The manager said he can give us our money back or we can take the chicken... this was after we waited an hour and it was ready. Uh. I had high hopes but the food was ok and the experience less so

Had really High expectations for this this place. Food was really bland. I had the Bistec Tako and pollo Tako. My husband got chicken quesadillas and carnitas tako and he felt the same for his food.

Located next to the path harrison station. This take on tacos is a nice twist. The tacos are larger than expected. Although the prices are on the higher end. I had the vegetarian and mushroom tacos, they were delish! Sangria was also great although there were no fruits in it. The place has a cool industrial decoration. The servers were quick and very friendly

Enjoyed our visit to Takorea tonight with family and friends. Good food, good prices, and amazing service! The only thing I would change to make it a 5 star rating would be adding some flavored margaritas and a variety of delicious desserts to their menu. Please make sure to stop by and grab a bite you won't be disappointed.....

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. Everything is fresh and delicious! The food came out super hot (temp wise). I had the calamari taco and their tako fries! Both items were great. The salsa on the taco was perfect amount of heat.

While there are many 4&5* reviews i must give this place a 2. We arrived to an empty restaurant which immediate became busy. Ordered sweet tea, but later told there wasn't anymore. Likewise with my son's ramen, but we weren't notified until everyone else's order came to the table. New waitstaff was evident and not trained on the basic front on the house procedures. Our drinks were not filled and we had to grab another waitress to get napkins. Can't remember the head waiter who was there taking the brunt of our requests and questions because the manager, who was supposed to be there wasn't at the time. I like the concept of the restaurant but delivery is very important in this business.

Great place with a lot of promise. They're still in the soft open, changing menu, hiring and training staff, things like that, so don't go in expecting the smoothest operation you ever did see at this point. That said, the food is very good, best bulgogi I've had, extremely good fries, tasty drinks for reasonable prices. Beyond that, the atmosphere is modern and comfortable, not too fancy but they've put effort into making it a pleasant place to be.

The menu is very tasty here. The wings, quesodillas, tacos, and burritos are all very good. Takeout is available here. There are revolving special deals on a day to day basis.
